Becoming Self-Aware: Learning to Observe Yourself

The starting point of all forms of Self development begins by becoming ‘aware’ of how your mind functions on a normal basis while you’re not tending it, or realizing what’s happening internally, and why. In order to begin observing ourselves requires us to learn how to take on a dissociated position as a form of “second person perspective”. We move outside of the direct experience we’re always involved in with our own internal dialoguing and feelings, and we simply take a perspective of observing our natural thoughts, and the natural processes that are always taking place within us as the basis for creating our everyday, moment by moment experiences as a relationship and interaction with everyone and everything around us. We’re constantly creating our life experiences by how we feel, think, and what memories we use as templates for rerunning and reforming our present experiences to mean the same thing, and be about the same thing as our past experiences.

 
The first key to all forms of introspection, self-reflection, and self-observation, is to realize that at no point in the process do we judge ourselves for what we feel and think, nor do we ever get involved in the dialogue of judging, explaining or justifying what we think, why we’re thinking it, and what we do. Because strangely enough, what you’ll find is that just as we defend our perspectives and behaviors to others, there’s an aspect of our internal dialogue that even justifies to ourselves why we think and do what we do as a means of making it okay, which allows us to “keep it”. Our goal here, in self-reflecting, is taking an objective perspective to simply begin realizing what type of thoughts we think on a regular basis, for no particular reason, or as a part of redundant thoughts born out of a theme we’re always playing out in our mind as a way of interpreting our outer reality by way of our inner reality which comes largely from a completely unaware state of automatic feelings, modes of thinking, and dwelling in memories of some sort that we replay constantly when we’re not focused on anything in particular, as a form of random or entertaining type of thoughts, that are for the most part habitual in nature.

To begin this practice, you have to simply make a commitment to it, and remind yourself periodically throughout your day, when it’s convenient, to simply stop what you’re doing, and become aware of what you’ve been thinking about. What type of story we’re you running through your mind, what type of description or explanation were you giving about something, or what memory were you rethinking about? Sometimes we run abstract ideas through our mind from a TV show we watched, a line in a movie, a song that we heard, something someone said to us, an article we read, something we’re curious about, wondering about, or as a form of anticipation of what’s going to happen in a situation much like a form of prophecy. Whatever it is, simply notice what it is, and become aware of it. Allow yourself to simply notice what it is that runs through your mind unattended.

 
As you begin becoming aware of the type of thoughts you tend to think without intention, allow yourself to also recognize what memories you’re always in the process of thinking about and running through your imagination in a variety of scenarios, and that you use to form predictions of the future by reliving them in the present. Stop and observe what ideas you run through your mind as a means of anticipating an event or activity. Then, allow yourself to notice how you “feel” based on what you tend to think about. What emotions and moods you tend to be in as a result of your thinking and imagining. Notice that all memories as a generalized idea that plays out a theme of some sort which have a distinct mood or emotional atmosphere to them. As you replay them, it causes you to feel the same way you felt when you were experiencing the memory. Just by thinking about them, makes you feel the same way. Allow yourself to notice how your thoughts are connected to your feelings. How thoughts and emotions are always connected. When you think about happy experiences, you feel happy. When you think about sad experiences, you feel sad. And how these emotions, feelings, and moods is either what cause you to think about whatever you’re thinking about, or they’re produced because you’re thinking about whatever you’re thinking about.

As you go through your day and someone or something causes an emotional reaction in you, have the awareness to stop in the middle of it, refrain from reacting to it, and simply observe what’s happening inside your body. Notice the distinct sensations you’re feeling in certain parts of your body that have certain qualities to them, such as, a tingling, jolting, buzzy, sinking, butterflies, sharp, dull, painful, arousing, and so on. As you recognize how it makes you feel, also notice what memory you associate the feeling too, and what behavior its prompting you to do. How do you want to act in reaction to it? What natural behavior would it normally cause in you if you weren’t refraining from acting? Notice the connection between an emotional trigger, the memory you associate to it, and the behavior inherent in it. This is what forms “reactions” as unconscious behaviors that are formed from a memory of some sort. Again, don’t judge or try to justify what’s happening, simply notice it. Become aware of it.

 
Also, as you go through your day, allow yourself to notice how the emotional energy of others feels. Become aware that you’re constantly picking up on the emotions of others, and they’re affecting you in a somewhat indirect and subtle, if not very direct manner. Then, as in the previous lessons, allow yourself to notice how their emotions “affect” (or infect) you by entering into or moving through you, and stimulating in you those same emotions and feelings. Become aware of how your body is being stimulated by the emotions being displayed around you. Notice how you can sense the energy of a room just by walking into it from the outside. How the room holds the energy of the people and activities being conducted or experienced by the people within it. And again, simply notice how the emotional atmosphere forms the same type of feelings in you just by being “in it”.

As you become more self-aware, you simultaneously become more aware of others and your environment. You can start becoming aware of what is normally happening inside of you and too you by your environment and your own thoughts. You can become aware of what memories you tend to hang onto and continue living out of that shaping your current perception of things, what you connect to first internally, then externally, and what mood or emotional state you tend to live out of as a result. You can begin becoming aware of how others directly affect and influence you just through the nature of the energy exchange that’s taking place as feelings, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You can begin shedding light on what’s normally operating in a habitual manner outside of your direct awareness. Just the awareness alone helps you to begin taking conscious control over your own thoughts, imagining, and emotional states.

 
We can only work with what we have a conscious awareness and basic understanding of. Becoming self-aware is the first step to moving into the practices that involve self-mastery by being able to not only control your own state of mind, but being able to direct your life by intentionally using your awareness of how feelings, thoughts, emotions, memories, and what we imagine as live scenarios directly affect how we first create our experiences, then use them as future memories to create more of the same type of experiences. We can obtain a new level of awareness around our relationships and how others act to influence us, what they activate and bring out in us, and how they serve to develop those tendencies in us. By becoming aware of what we were previously unaware of, we can see how it operates on us, through us, and because of us, and we can begin consciously controlling it and redirecting it in a more favorable manner. We can learn how to use positive memories and thoughts to automatically produce a positive state of mind. We learn how to stay present in our life instead of being caught up in endless distractions that keep us unconscious in the most basic sense. As with all things . . . awareness is the key! We can only work with what we’re aware of.

Transforming Systems – “Troubleshooting and Strategically Implementing Solutions”

One of the problems people have in walking into (or being the one who haphazardly built it) a business as an operational system, is the we’ve been hopelessly trained to the left-brain function which neatly separates a whole ecological system into singular parts, then studies and analyzes the function of each part in an attempt to figure out “where the problem exists”, then isolate it, and either correct or replace it. Doctors can tend to be really prone to this approach because they’ve often been taught to practice medicine in much the same way. However, this hardly ever works, and often doesn’t even produce a temporary relief of the imagined problem, because the system, which has been trained to behave as a whole, simply recreates the same problem with a new employee by training them to the same behaviors.

 
If instead, we employ our right-brain ability to view everything in a holistic fashion as a living system that has numerous processes inherent within it that involve multiple people playing roles in a dynamic interaction that’s consistently producing an effect, we can recognize what process needs to be redeveloped because it’s not designed properly, or provide new methods and training processes that will enhance people’s ability to perform their part in a more proficient and congruent manner. Instead of looking at individuals, we need to look at processes and methods being employed, teams producing those processes, and departments within a larger process, and the entire nature and behaviors being displayed within that team who’s performing a dynamic process in an effort to produce a congruent and specific outcome.

Change has to be introduced at the right place in a whole process in order to serve to transform how the process performs. If diagnosed incorrectly, replacing or retraining the person deemed to be the problem; the system will simply shape the new person back into the same pattern and reproduce the same basic problem. You have to be able to accurately determine what part in the process is causing the dysfunction and correct it as a whole process; meaning change introduced at one point in an existing system will have a ripple effect as a synchronization of how it acts to systematically modify all other aspects of the same process. Problems are hardly ever the result of one person (unless they’re the owner or boss), but nearly always the result of the relationships that exist between multiple people who interact as apart of a whole dynamic.

 
Likewise, when hiring new team members, you need to look at and take into consideration the team they will be apart of, what role they will play within that team, and what personality or natural tendencies will be best suited to enhance the performance of the whole team. Technical skills required for the job they usually bring to the table just through the job description or professional degree as the basic knowledge needed to perform the job, your job then becomes to pick the right personality that will fit into the team while providing them with the training necessary to perform at required standards, while giving them feedback from the very beginning that will serve to form the proper habits and rituals necessary to function proficiently right from the get go. Many put people through a standard training program that’s of poor quality, and let them go for a month or two (30-90 day probation period), allowing them to be poorly trained, then when problems naturally occur, get caught up in a form of ‘damage control’ by trying to figure out what the problems are, without ever identifying that the acquisition and training process being used “is” the problem.

In other cases, I’ve seen people engage in endless turn-over at the lower ranks of the business, while incurring the same type of problem over and over, that eventually forms into a belief (you can’t find good employees), without ever recognizing that the problem is actually in the higher ranks, and is more of a trickle down effect, which is why they consistently recreate the same problems. The beliefs and paradigms of key people directly involved in the creation and maintenance of a business, act to consistently create and recreate the same type of realities by how they influence them through their daily interaction. They are also the ones who design, decide on, or willingly employ the processes and protocol that determine the daily operations from a developmental point of view, often without having the knowledge required to realize they have an inappropriate system because they adopted it from an “expert” or are using a conventional model for their profession laid out for them as a standardized method for operations. Yet any process employed in a specific situation with a specific group of people has to be customized to that situation in order to be truly creative. What works for one group of people in one situation may not work at all for another group in a similar situation. Cookie-cutter processes, taught in the same way across the board and delivered in a manual style, while they may provide a fundamental template to use as a guideline for redesigning and structuring a business model, are often meaningless, and even somewhat detrimental to individual Entrepreneurs running small businesses or Private Practices.

 
The business model is designed to act as a paradigm for the business as a separate entity that serves to consistently create the reality of that business, just like our individual paradigms determine what and how we create as individuals within our own lives. So the business model has to be an offspring of the model psychologically employed by the owner and key people within the organization in order for them to be able to naturally work in a way that consistently creates the same type of idea on a larger scale through the business. The business acts as the pathway for delivery of the service being offered by the professionals within that business. If the models between the business entity and the individual clash or serve to contradict each other, the personal model of the individual will always win out, because it comes naturally to the individual in charge of creating the essence of the business itself through daily activity. It’s the overall process or methods being employed in any given situation that should be examined as a whole when any part of the system isn’t functioning properly. Otherwise there’s a tendency to simply use the same process to recreate the same problem using a new personality.

Learning to become an Excellent Communicator – Self-Expression as Performance

Knowledge originated as the “Arts and Sciences” in what most see as contrary ideas that are in reality extensions of each other. Knowledge as science can be thought of as an idea in theoretical form that can only be proved through experimentation or by applying it at the practical level to create living phenomena out of it as an experience of it. The application comes as a form of communication where we become the “channel” or “vehicle” through which the idea comes into physical reality by way of us. We act in some way by applying the idea to our life, and “act it out” or “perform it”. Because our method of application and style of performing is unique to us based on our personality, “how” we do it becomes a form of self-expression, where the science applied becomes an art-form.

 
Many of you may have seen the “communication pie” that reveals the components of communication as being 7% based on the words being used, 38% being the tone or quality of your voice in terms of “how” we say it, and 55% of the communication comes through our physiology as what we’re expressing by how we’re being. Naturally, many of the experts want to take this in a literal manner and begin breaking apart a whole expression into “body-language” as categories and labels in a way that can be standardized and therefore taught in a methodical manner, yet, what this is actually showing us is that we actually communicate by expressing with our whole being. Communication is a full body transmission that simultaneously reveals the inner state of the person communicating, while also revealing their mental paradigm that forms their unique perception and interpretive style. What this shows us is that we can never really hide how we’re feeling. Our attitude forms the greater part of our communication. What we value, believe, and have a preference for shapes our communication in subtle ways that while they may not be readily recognized in our attempt to conceal them, they are still fully conveyed in our energy, which is felt by others.

 
Communication is intuitive and being done all the time through our “presence”, regardless of whether or not we’re talking. People can sense our energy as our mental atmosphere, read our emotions being reflected in our body postures, gestures, and facial expressions, as well as biological processes such as flushing of the skin, tension in the lips, dilated pupils, shakiness in our voice, and so on. We also communicate in a basic sense by how we present ourselves, through our personal grooming, style, wardrobe, jewelry, etc. We create an image of ourselves that give people an impression of “who” and “how” we are, and what kind of person we are. To take up the study of body language that turns it into a mechanical, systematized process of categorizing and labeling specific postures and gestures as meaning this or that and applied to everyone equally, is like buying a book on “dream interpretation” that gives a universal interpretation of certain objects as if they mean the same thing to everybody, when in fact, nothing could be further from the truth. The message in the communication expresses not only the idea being communicated, but also the person doing the communicating. We can tell how they feel about what they’re communicating, what their perspective is, and whether they’re being congruent in terms of what they’re communicating being contradictory to how they actually feel. Whether they’re creating an illusion and lying, or whether or not they believe what they’re saying, and saying it out of honesty. What we’re doing with our body always matches our internal state. Always.

 
This gives us the tools we need for becoming excellent communicators by becoming aware of how we’re being as we communicate. By realizing that in order to communicate effectively, we have to first form the proper state or mood out of which we communicate, knowing it’s going to be the greater part of the communication. Cultivating the proper attitude through which we communicate is critical to the message or idea being communicated. Becoming aware of how we accentuate our voice quality through our tone, speed and hesitations as a form of timing, the rhythm of talking, what and how we emphasize words, what we’re doing with our body, our facial expressions, and gestures by how we use our hands, controlling the look in our eyes, and so on.


The basic dynamic always going on as the basis for our communication, is that whatever mood or emotion we’re embodying and expressing through, we stimulate that same emotion in others, calling it forth in response to us as the “connection” or “stream of communication” as an interactive flow of energy. We connect to others and the external world through feelings and emotions. Emotions connect us to things outside of ourselves that brings what’s inside, outside, and vice verse as a correspondence. Our action stimulates an equal reaction of the same emotional quality. How we act towards others by how we’re being, determines how they act towards us in a natural response to us. This is a fundamental form of “cause and effect”.

 
So all communication is in fact a “performance” where the words being employed are only a minute part of what’s actually being conveyed. To become an excellent communicator, you need to become an excellent performer. You take an attitude of expressing ideas by “embodying them”, creating the proper mood necessary for stimulating the same feeling-mood in whomever you’re communicating with. You do this by asking yourself, what feeling is necessary for the expression of this idea within the conditions and circumstances it’s being used to create? What is the purpose of the communication, and what effect or behavior is it designed to create? What emotion will give the proper emphasis and elicit the desired response as an outcome? Based on what you’re communicating and what result or course of action it’s meant to set in motion, what state do you need to cultivate in order to become the proper channel for expressing the idea that will elicit the same state in another? What part of the person’s imagination do you want to touch on through the nature of the communication, and what seed will the communication plant as a fertile idea in their mind that they will continue to grow through the emotion connected to it that it was delivered through, long after the communication is done?

To plant a seed as a thought to be grown in the mind of another, we match the idea with the emotion. The emotion determines in what way the idea will be developed, and what kind of reality they will create out of it as a result. When inspiring and passionate emotions are coupled with an idea, it’s developed in a very positive way as the means for expressing the emotion through the idea. When negative emotions are applied to the same idea, it’s developed in a way that expresses that emotion and serves to create more of it. Thought and emotion are always joined to create experiences as the reality of the thought. The emotion is our “direct line” into another and the formative or creative factor that shapes the idea to be an expression of it. While our thoughts may be unique to each person, and the words we use form different pictures in each persons mind as an association, emotions are universal and shared by everyone in a congruent manner. Anger produces anger, and though how it’s expressed may be different from person to person, it still acts to stimulate and create more anger. The emotional component of an idea is what we connect to in others, and the idea as a thought is simply the form the emotion takes on as a vehicle to express as a reality. Whenever we’re communicating, the emotion “is” what’s actually being communicated through how we’re expressing ourselves. Our expression stimulates that same nature and expression in another and acts to multiply it.

By learning to view how we communicate in a new light, we can not only become more self-aware, and perhaps realize why our communications fail to produce what we want them to produce, but through the awareness alone, we can hone our style for self-expression by learning how to perform much like an actor takes on the proper state and character traits to play a role in a convincing manner. Just as when we were kids and we modeled our hero’s and those we wanted to be like by taking on the same qualities and behaviors that served to develop us in those same ways by becoming the expression of them. When we learn how to communicate by performing, we develop higher forms of self-expression and become powerful creators in our own life. We learn how to “give” people ideas that we want them to develop and act to co-create with us by forming a joint reality out of them.

 

So as you think about communicating and what it is you wish to produce by way of the communication, think about what feeling or emotion as a state-of-mind that you want to elicit in them as the fertile ground for developing the idea you’re introducing into their mind as a thought that will be developed in their imagination into an internal experience. Then intentionally cultivate and take on that emotional state before you communicate the idea. Notice just how employing the emotional state changes how you form the communication in your imagination that changes how it delivered or expressed. Then, practice communicating in a way that consciously expresses the emotion by how you’re being. By your energy, your body posturing, facial expression, the tone and quality of your voice, and the rhythm in which you speak, and what you emphasize by “how” you say it. Communication is actually an art-form that’s performed. Like any performance based art, you have to practice to develop your style and your ability to become more expressive by learning to utilize your entire being as the basis for the communication.

To produce new behaviors takes the firm decision to do so, and commitment to a dedicated practice that’s undertaken in a devoted manner. Once we choose what we want to change and the new methods to be employed in their place, and we start by imagining our selves being that way, and doing it that way, we begin using the creative aspect of our imagination to form internal representations of an idea as a reality, that we then use for acting out to produce the same idea as an outer affect. Imagining an idea gives us the basis for practicing it. By practicing we build knowledge into our muscle where it becomes natural and automatic. We begin transforming how we’re being in the world, and how we express ourselves as a result. We learn how to truly connect to others and share ideas that simultaneously allow for emotional expression that’s healthy and productive in nature. By expanding our ability to express ourselves more fluently and eloquently, we form a new kind of confidence and enhance our experience of living by enriching the meaning things take on.

 

Practice only makes perfect when you know how to practice in the right way. Otherwise, it simply propagates a whole series of errors.

Innovative Leadership for Creative ways of doing Business – Becoming a Social Architect

Cosmic_creativityMany people view leaders as those having a vision that they then use to inspire the group that will be responsible for actually creating it by instructing them on what they need to do in order to create the vision as a team effort. And while this is probably a somewhat affective method for a corporate, drone worker type mentality, or those who imagine their role as “boss” is to micromanage and rule over others with a whip in hand and a stern face, but for the more innovative and creative enterprises, a leader is one who organizes the talents and personalities of every team member to form a dynamic vision as the integration of multiple ideas to come up with a unique and specialized idea that incorporates the full participation of everyone involved. It’s a creative process, that even when developed into an organizational practice, remains a “work in progress” where new ideas and creative solutions are consistently being experimented with as a means of constantly improving whatever service, product, or process the business provides.

 
I often get asked what my “method” or “model” is that I practice by, usually anticipating an answer as a “tried and proven” method handed down by someone considered an expert in the business of leadership (whatever that means) that everyone will recognize and therefore trust. I always find this question a bit confusing and often draw a blank in response to it, because the only method I use is the creative process and the scientific method of experimentation. While the combination of these is somewhat of a “method”, how it’s formulated and utilized varies with every situation, dynamic group of people operating as a team within that business, and the basic vision and intention for the business of the person most responsible for organizing and overseeing the operation of the team as a whole. Every situation has a unique idea they’re creating, with a unique group of talent and varying levels of expertise, and a unique style as their personality, service or method of delivery, and vision. My job is simply to help them realize what this is, embraced it in the practical sense, and put into place the basic processes for creating it as a reality while keeping it as simple as possible.

I don’t walk in with a preconceived idea about what needs to happen, or a “cookie-cutter” method that I impose on them under the facade of being an expert with ready made solutions to every problem, but rather I help them to begin thinking about things in a new way, learn how to operate as a whole rather than as fragmented and disconnected parts, and elicit participation of each individual, and their ability to capitalize on the talents of every team member, while developing a portfolio of diverse ideas that can be strategically integrated to form new and possible solutions, or to come up completely novel methods. I teach Entrepreneurs to begin thinking in new ways and maximizing the talents of their staff and associates. I provide them with the skills for learning to think and operate as a dynamic team with a shared goal as a desired outcome. Where every member is valued for their unique perspective and expertise and contribution to the daily operations and how that enhances and enriches the experience of everyone involved. The best way to get buy-in and accountability from everyone involved is by utilizing their ideas, while taking an attitude of perfecting them “as you go” based on feedback that allows you to shape them through the actual application into an efficient system.

 
I teach business owners how to develop a business plan as an overall vision that’s an integration of different visions to form a working collaboration. When people’s ideas are actively employed and used to help form the standard procedures of the business, there’s a strong investment to make sure they succeed and an increased accountability to make sure they’re adhered to. When everyone involved is a valuable part of the whole and necessary to make it a success, they perform at much higher levels, and with an attitude of enthusiasm, sincerity, and commitment. When they’re an active part of the creation, and a necessary part of the equation, your staff and business becomes a family, and the commodore and quality of life for everyone involved is greatly enhanced, where loving their work is the norm, and the company as a whole can achieve a state of excellence in what they do, and every member grows and learns within their daily experiences.

Conscious Programming – “The Art of Self-Creation”

The conscious mind has the ability to program the subconscious mind, yet we have to first realize that they actually speak (work by) different languages. The conscious mind is abstract and thinks in terms of verbal language as words that lack behavior as actualizing, whereas the subconscious mind is experiential and emotional in nature and speaks in terms of pictures and sensory images as life-like realities that mimic actual memories. The conscious mind programs the subconscious (body awareness) through the imagination as an inner vision that transforms an abstract idea into a conceptualized reality. The imagination as the mind’s eye takes a basic idea, and through the process of applying it to a specific situation or set of circumstances, reinterprets it by personalizing it. We imagine it “as if” we were actually experiencing it as a real life situation. This creates the idea as a living pattern equivalent to a memory, which the subconscious uses to produce behavior that “acts out” the same scenario as a real life experience.

 
By imagining the desired idea as a reality, we not only create a pattern for application, but also create it as a believable possibility that we simultaneously identify with through the enactment. This creates the desired reality as an inner reality that the subconscious superimposes on the outer reality, organizing and reinterpreting it accordingly. The mind constructs realities by how it composes ideas to give them meaning. The meaning we give an idea determines how we experience it. Meaning shapes experience. It takes the imagined reality as an actual experience, which integrates and incorporates it through an accumulative effect that modifies the current paradigm as a system of beliefs based on memory (living realities) as a unification of the physical with the spiritual that provides a new template for generating thematic realities as analogous correspondences. It creates experiences that are of the same nature as a form of theme.

We take an abstract idea as a universal theme, and create an inner reality as a template that produces a frequency that’s used to magnetize and organize the outer reality as being of a similar nature. It won’t be exactly the same as the inner imagining, because it can only use elements in the immediate environment that are of the same frequency and therefore lend themselves to telling the same type of story. The outer experience will be of the same nature and basic idea of the imagined reality based on what’s available in the immediate environment that can be used to orchestrate the experience as a congruent theme.

 
Ideas, as feeling experiences, represent a vibratory frequency that attracts what is of the same nature and therefore has the same inherent tendencies that can be used to express the same idea as a joint reality. Whatever is of a different frequency, likewise, is simultaneously repelled. We only “see” ourselves (what matches our paradigm) in others and our environment, even though many other possibilities coexist within the same space and time. What is of the same nature as us we not only notice and give attention to (it stands out), we simultaneously allow to enter into us (energetic sympathy), stimulating an inner reaction (resonance) to it as a result. This is what we refer to as chemistry that produces a natural interaction based on an affinity of sorts.

When we allow ideas to readily and willingly be introduced into our mind, and take hold by thinking about them, we are allowing ourselves to be “programmed” by others or an external source. We then become subject to it because it acts to “tune us” to the same vibratory frequency as a joint reality that we create inward using our own mind. We allow ourselves to be determined – created – by outside forces. This is the result of the subconscious and passive aspect of the mind as our animalistic (body) nature that can be readily trained and domesticated by outside influences that we align with and allow to control us. We are influenced by another mind that imposes a direct influence on us, dominates by introducing an active force as an idea that’s willingly accepted by our passive and receptive mind, that controls us by absorbing and commanding our will.

 
When we give our will to the service of another by conforming to them, they act to control us and determine our behavior, which also shapes our identity accordingly. We enter into a sympathetic relationship with them, and through suggestion that acts to modify and manipulate our inner reality, we respond to them in a very predictable way. They train us to behave in a certain way by how they interact with us. Through the emotional quality of their communication, which acts as the hook for seating ideas in the imagination, allowing them to take hold long enough to develop them into personal realities by thinking about them in a compulsive manner. They “give us” emotional thoughts that are theirs, and we adopt them and then act to develop them as our own. This forms the basis of what we refer to as the “group mind” which is ultimately a form of subliminal mind entrainment designed to train people to certain types of behavior that they mistaken for their own.

 
Once we understand how we use our mind to self-create by creating internal realities that become the living patterns for outer realities of the same nature, we can withdraw our mental and emotional power from the group mind, and use our imagination to self-create in unique and individual ways instead. We can program our own mind and body by creating inner experiences of our desired reality, then enhancing them with sensory details, while infusing them with very positive emotions that magnetize them by making them compelling. Positive attracts and grows, negative repels and diminishes. To “become” by growing ourselves, is achieved through positive and active means, while allowing our negative, self-sabotaging aspects to fall away and subside, because we no longer keep them alive in our imagination. Fill your mind constantly with what you desire to experience and how you want to feel as a result. Sense yourself in very desirable ways that will shape your identity accordingly and will form your character as the means of bringing ideas into physical form as experiences that are self-perpetuated and performed by you!

Imagination – “As Opposed to Creative Visualization”

The tendency to represent the idea of “imagining something” as “visualizing it”, can make the idea seem fairly confusing. Visualizing indicates forming inner images, pictures and scenes as movies that play out in the mind as a form of anticipated or wished for experience. Then, because its portrayed this way, many get confused as to “how to” visualize, what it means exactly, and believe that it means to see fully detailed, colored images and scenes that play out with precision and detail, and while it certainly can be this way, especially for a well developed imagination, for most people it’s usually much more impressionistic. Most visualization resembles the type of image we see as a reflection in glass or water, or a reflection in a dark, shiny surface where it’s more shadow-like and formed, yet not particularly detailed. This resembles what is referred to as “thought-forms” that exist in the astral field of the mind as shadowy images that we form through thinking about or dwelling on ideas, or recalling a memory of some kind.

 
The imagination however, is a faculty of the mind that forms a full sensory experience that while it’s main component is visual images and impressionistic shapes, it also focuses heavily on hearing and sounds, feelings as intuitive and as touching the surface of material reality, any forms of smells that would be inherent in the experience, and taste whenever appropriate, as well as the internal dialogue as thoughts that we naturally have while engaging in any type of experience and the emotions the experience elicits. Our inner dialogue is what we are telling ourselves ‘about’ the experience that makes it mean something. The imagination takes an inspired idea as unformed, and shapes it into a full 3-D sensory reality that is realistic and believable, and therefore possible. The true use of the imagination however, places the greatest emphasis on “feelings” that we have as a result of the inner experience we are having. The feeling is the full-body intuitive sensation that blends the visual into a holistic experience as a form of memory that is complete with emotions, thoughts and meaning that brings realization around an idea that can only be obtained through the experience of it. This reality formed in the imagination through thinking, creates a form of template that makes us a channel for the imagined idea to become a reality as an outer expression that’s a correspondence to the inner experience.

This is the creative power of the mind to create experience by first creating it internally while shaping it with sensory detail and definition that sets the vibratory patterning that attracts and organizes the outer experience as a correspondence. The outer experience is not exact to the imagined one, although it can be, but is rather analogous to the inner experience. It’s of the same nature and theme as the internal experience, yet modified according to the elements available in the immediate surroundings, and the will, personality and interactive quality of those participating in the orchestration of the outer experience. Because the outer requires other people, situations and events, the original vision is modified accordingly as a basic requirement to incorporate the ideas and desires of all who partake in the over-all experience that is co-created as a shared reality.

 
This is why the emphasis is always placed on the “feeling” of the experience rather than the visual aspect. Visually it may be entirely different than you imagined it, yet it will feel the same. It’ll be the same type of idea as a form of theme, which is being illustrated in a modified and varied manner. The feeling, as the vibratory frequency is what composes and structures the experience to be of a certain patterning that beautifully conforms to the influences that everyone participating contributes, while maintaining the same basic idea as the essence of the over-all experience. You will recognize the fulfillment of your wish, not by what it looks like, but by what it feels like as you realize you’re in the process of having it.

How Science becomes an Art – Integrating Knowledge through Active Practice

The only way we attain knowledge and become truly knowledgeable, is by developing ideas to the point where they can be brought into practice somehow in our daily life. We become the vehicle through which knowledge expresses in the world by becoming “one with it”, and acquiring it through the experience of it. By applying and utilizing knowledge as a practice of some sort, we develop it into a behavior that forms an experience of it, that not only “proves” it through the application as an experiment, but allows us to gain insights where we can modify the basic idea, correcting any errors in the idea, in order to utilize it to create the results it claims to produce. We can only know the validity of ideas through experimentation that applies them to create at the material level, where we then “experience” the knowledge through a form of self-realization.

 
The practical application developed through consistent application, forms it into a memory that systematically programs the subconscious mind through the memory as an actual behavior that becomes a natural tendency or built in skill as a natural part of our mental paradigm. We only truly integrate the knowledge through experimentation that produces an experience of it by blending into it and becoming the vehicle through which it comes into the world. By embodying and imagining it as a working concept, we use it as a patterning to direct our behaviors and activities that transforms it as an inner reality into an outer reality, that is then absorbed and synthesized by the mind, upgrading the mental model of the mind through the incorporation of it as a natural perception and way of feeling and thinking, and through the acquired set of behaviors that it naturally employs in order to create it.

Knowledge that’s held at the theoretical level, never tested and applied to ensure its validity, remains a theory, and is not integrated into our paradigm as an experience and behavior of some kind, and is therefore NOT actually acquired, nor carried forward as an essential part of our “self”. We only truly know what we can do, and demonstrate. To say that spiritual knowledge exists only in the spiritual realm, and can’t be meaningfully applied to the material realm through practical application, isn’t true, and merely demonstrates a lack of understanding in terms of what spiritual knowledge is. It’s an error in how we perceive the relationship of the spiritual (invisible forces) with the material (visible forces). The basic fact that underlies all reality is that the spiritual as vibration forms patterns as ideas that organize the form the material world takes on, which determines how it functions and behaves, and what processes it naturally undergoes. While many think the spiritual (invisible energy) is symbolic of the material, actually the opposite is true, and the material exists as the symbolic form of the spiritual. The energetic vibration is what shapes matter into forms, while also imbuing it with consciousness as a form of personality that “operates” it.

 
Knowledge itself, as ideas, which enter the mind as inspired insights, and are developed by the mind into conceptualized ideas, are principles and laws as archetypal ideas, that are exceedingly applicable by lending themselves to an infinite number of adaptations, each of which produce the basic idea in a new form as a variation of the original idea, which is objective, metaphorical, and universal in nature. All spiritual knowledge as laws can only be truly known and understood through practices of some form. The only “theory” in spiritual knowledge lies in gaining a fundamental understanding of the laws involved, which is necessary for utilizing and applying them to develop the routine practices of your daily life. By practicing and using these laws to create, you learn them through the experience of them as self-realization. This realization allows you to immediately identify the same laws being played out through a variety of practices and creative processes, regardless of what form they take on, and this ability to identify law by perceiving it from the perspective of experiencing it, develop our intuitive capacities which “receive” the information as a direct experience of it.

 
By entering into an idea, becoming one with it, having an intimate and immediate experience of it, lets us know if its true or not. We can recognize truth from error, because truth always operates as law, whether physical or subtle, and can be applied to any situation or set of circumstances, where it creates a material reality as a natural process of some sort. If an idea being portrayed can’t be experienced or applied by anyone to create what it claims to create, then it shows us it’s not based on principles and the fundamental workings that underlie all of life that determines what organic processes it naturally undergoes in order to “become”.

The most fundamental law that many fail to recognize is that spirit as consciousness or the mind as a field of information (a concept used to understand it), is also matter itself, which is the passive component that “receives” – takes in and is in-formed by consciousness – which is the active force of a complementary whole. Spirit, mind or soul, and body, are different aspects of the same thing (idea) in different densities as a series of complementary opposites that engage in an interactive process of resonance, sympathetic induction, and coherence. Consciousness itself is a self-organizing force that impregnates (magnetically enters into) matter, structuring the form it takes on as its body or vehicle for expressing, that forms by organizing particles through a positive charge, where something appears to come out of nothing. The active force enters the passive equivalent (same vibration as a state) forming the molecular structure as a combination of information that forms the molecular structure of a single cell, as the composition of all the information and patterning sequences, as well as the spatial model as a form of organizing blueprint for undergoing mitosis as self-generation, organizing billions of reproductions into a larger, unified organism that’s imbued with a personality and distinct tendencies as the behaviors and activity it naturally and systematically engages in. Spiritual knowledge as laws that govern all of life and the natural world, are what creates everything and can be observed in natural processes where the same set of laws are at work creating a multitude of forms with specialized functions. We can know spirit by observing and engaging in the creative processes of life and death in the natural world, and by gaining self-knowledge as self-awareness of how those same laws operate to create us and work through us.

 
As humans, we are a perfect microcosm and mini-model of the cosmos as the macrocosm, because we are the only species on this planet to be imbued with the higher capacity of creativity. We are the only animals capable of individual thinking and using these laws to self-create by willfully employing them with full awareness of what we’re doing and the reason we’re doing it. We are not confined to instinctual, unconscious behaviors produced as a part of the collective unconscious that we share with all other humans as a species, but rather the ability to create through willful acts that employ knowledge of the natural laws to manipulate nature and the natural forces to create by way of them. By employing spiritual knowledge as laws, we can develop ourselves by way our creative ability to intelligently employ them to produce our practical skills and daily lifestyle as a means of self-creating, and systematically growing ourselves to higher and higher forms of intelligence through expanding our creative capacities to apply laws in numerous ways to create an infinite variety of possibilities through our ability to adapt, utilize and overcome.

Sympathies and Antipathies are Passive and Active Forces that Form and Transform Physical Manifestations

The most fundamental law of growth and development come through the interaction of passive and active forces as attraction and repulsion, compliance and resistance. Whatever we become a part of as a relationship of some sort, we use as the means to develop ourselves by either moving into and becoming like them, or by contrasting and opposing them, and becoming the opposite of them. Every relationship we form gives us a sense of ourselves as either like them or not like them, we either resonate or contrast and repel. Sometimes we fall in between, and adopt the mind-set and behaviors we like, while only rejecting and contesting the ones we don’t like. Either way, it’s always based on a form of choice and exercising our will. Sometimes this is a conscious act that we’re aware of and do in a deliberate manner, and sometimes it’s something we do without direct awareness, but more as natural tendencies inherent in our personality as natural ways of being.
All creation comes by way of willful acts. We’re either being moved or controlled by others and our environment, or we’re acting through others and our environment to control and determine ourselves. All creation comes by way of relationships that we form with ourselves (plural) and everything else around and outside of us. All experiences as subjective realities come through a dynamic series of relationships and interactions all taking place at the same time in concert with each other. We either develop ourselves by passively blending into others, activities, and situations, and through a state of rapport, take on the same mind-set, attitudes, and behaviors, where we become the same as them in nature and classification, or we position ourselves in contrast and opposition with them, and develop ourselves by resisting and becoming the opposite of them. We’re always interacting through passive and active aspects of ourselves, by conforming and going with the flow, or by outwardly opposing and moving against the grain, or creating our own current as a new flow moving in an opposing direction.

When we’re young and immature, this equation can get confusing, and we oppose things not as a willful act, but just out of habit, the desire to explore new ways of being, or a general attitude we develop as a means of self-preservation. As we mature and come fully into ourselves, we realize that we can also learn how to work within whatever situation or set of circumstances we find ourselves in, and use it to our advantage in whatever way it lends itself to by changing our attitude and perception of it, without compromising ourselves in the process, but actually strengthening our sense of self by maintaining who we are without the need to openly demonstrate it. We can learn how to work in a peaceful and cooperative manner while staying firmly centered in our being.
Part of what helps us recognize the nature and workings of this interrelated dynamic, is by gaining a sense of clarity around our own multidimensional nature. As an individual, we possess both a body and a soul or mind. Our soul can be thought of as the mediator between spirit (non-local mind) and the body (local mind), between the unformed and the formed. The soul is both unformed and fluid-like (adaptable) and formed into a paradigm as a dynamic matrix of information as accumulated memory acquired through its bonding and relationship with the body. The body is a member of the animal kingdom as a species, and though it’s imbued with higher intellectual and creative capacities, it operates fundamentally out of a passive state of the subconscious mind, and is instinctively prone to the behaviors of the species, and is easily trained to behaviors due to its fundamentally passive and receptive state. It doesn’t willfully act on its own behalf, but follows suit with whatever its been taught to do.

The body exists in a fundamental state of animal magnetism as a form of hypnotic trance and can be easily controlled through emotions embedded with suggestions. Any idea delivered with an intense emotion, is readily taken into the mind and developed into a personal reality by continuing to think about it. The most natural way that suggestions come is through various ways of being taught or given information from another that’s readily taken in, accepted as being true and factual that it forms a belief out of that it then acts out in a faithful and predictable manner. The lower mind of the body consciousness, lacking the creative ability to think for itself in novel and individualized manner, accumulates all the ideas its been taught throughout it’s life into a mental paradigm as a somewhat fixed model, that it then uses to perceive and interpret all of life as a by-product of its model. It runs repetitive thoughts through the mind randomly as a form of internal dialoguing that reruns thematic ideas as memory of some form where it’s only creative ability comes from repeating past ideas in the present. The subconscious mind displays a consistent attitude, emotional state, and set of behaviors that keep it locked into the reality of its own making. It lives out of a fundamentally unconscious and instinctive state that’s emotionally driven, and controlled primarily by others and its environment as an interaction and reaction of some form.
The soul on the other hand, has creative abilities and the ability to act willfully to change the perceptions and patterns being automatically acted out by the subconscious. The soul is comprised of memory also, that it obtains through a dual existence with the body, and the memory it acquires through experiences within the body that either develop the soul to be more animal like and apart of the instinctual mind of the species, or to become an individual through it’s ability to think in novel ways, not accept whatever it’s being taught, and through various forms of self-realization, be able to make decisions for itself that it then willfully and purposely acts out by directing the subconscious mind, creating new experiences of itself as an individual. The soul can either be controlled by the desires and environment of the lower mind, that always driven and controlled by its emotional states and instincts, or it can willfully act to use emotions to control the body and use it to create experiences of a higher, willful order. By taming and neutralizing the emotions of the body, the soul can exercise control over it and redirect it from participating in compulsive and mindless actions that produce a series of very undesirable consequences, which, through the experiences they create, become the memory of the soul as its constitution, and can act to degrade and reformulate the soul to be of a lower, unconscious nature.

While the soul has the ability to exercise control over the lower mind of the body, the body also has the ability to control the soul through intense emotional states that can override the reasoning of the soul. Because the soul enters into and becomes one with the body, and often mistakes itself for the body, it doesn’t realize its true identity, and remains unaware of its true power of the will and ability to control and direct itself, and so it resigns its power, and allows itself to be controlled by the body, and renders itself unconscious by creating in an unconscious manner.
Because of this tendency to not realize that we are a soul in a body, and that we can awaken to our true identity and power of our will, the soul can become lost in the illusions of the body born out of its emotional states, and become the same as the body in its nature. It can become an animal that’s a part of the collective unconscious of the earth plane that’s impulsively driven and uses its creative capacities to live a life of delusion, trapped within the reality of its own making, and truly falls from grace as a result, condemned to the life of the body. If, however, we’re able to awaken within the delusion by realizing who we are and understanding our multidimensional nature, we can begin resuming control over the emotions and reactions of the body, while dissolving the delusions it created, and begin commanding the subconscious through deliberate use of the imagination and emotions and redirecting it by exercising original thought, forming virtuous ideas in the mind’s eye that systematically reshape the paradigm of the shared mind, reprogramming it with new ideas as virtual memories.
The most basic way to work through law to transform existing conditions of the body and soul, is by employing the law of sympathy and antipathy, that works through electromagnetism as attraction (absorbing), assimilation (integrating) and repulsion (projecting). It works by stimulating “like” or similar qualities through a form of energetic rapport, or by stimulating the opposite quality necessary to bring the system back into balance by correcting an imbalance. By using the active forces of the same frequency (idea) to enter into (stimulate) and awaken the passive components, reformulating that pattern that’s manifested, and, likewise, by removing attention from ideas that are currently active, returning them to a dormant state, while replacing them with new ideas and activities that change how the mind-body system expresses, and thereby, transforming (heals) the physical result. At the most basic level of the mind, this law of transformation operates through thought and emotion that produces behaviors and activity of biological matter that are structured into patterns. These two are complementary opposites that form a unified reality as a physical manifestation.

All of what we call “reality” as a physical manifestation of some sort is multidimensional in nature and has three fundamental aspects or layers that are combined to form a greater whole. These levels are the invisible or spiritual realm of pure thought as potential ideas, the material as the lower realm where thought manifests as an actual condition or entity as the actualization of the idea, and the medium that binds them together and acts as a mediator that organizes matter of the physical plane into patterns of the spiritual plane with distinct behaviors or functions inherent in them produced by the emotion (energy in motion) as the complementary equivalent of the idea being embodied. Emotion, which always accompanies thought as an idea or pattern as a form of template, can be thought of as the “self-organizing” and animating quality of the idea, that structure and moves the idea as a living entity. On the material plane, thought is passive and doesn’t produce activity or behavior, and emotion is active, bringing the idea into an organized and active state. On the higher plane of the mind, thought is active and emotion is passive. Thought either invokes an emotion in response to it, or emotions form our thoughts as the equivalent of our emotions. When orientating ourselves from the higher level of pure ideas, they exist as truth that couples with emotion to produce it as an actual reality, and when orientating ourselves from the lower level of emotion that enlists thoughts in response to it, we form beliefs as false ideas, which replace truth and fact, while also having the ability to produce the reality of the belief by organizing matter as behaviors of some sort. The combination of the two, thought and emotion, produces the behaviors and the activities we engage in, both in the whole body sense, and at the molecular and cellular level, all of which are operating by the same laws at different levels and scales. Our behaviors and the activities we engage in produce our physical health as the unified expression of thoughts, emotions, and actions. To change the behavior, which is an outcome, we have to work with the psychological and emotional components that are forming and causing it.
The easiest way to do this is by teaching people how to deliberately engage in activities that will produce positive emotions. We can teach them how to use their imagination to present ideas to themselves by combining positive, health promoting ideas to positive and compelling emotions that make them desirable. Then taking the ideas and behaviors that are creating the imbalance as a health problem, and reform how they present these ideas to themselves through their internal representations, making them repulsive and undesirable, while attaching negative emotions to them. The laws governing motivation revolve around polar opposites of pleasure and pain. As a general rule, we move into and towards whatever we perceive as pleasurable, and we move away from or avoid whatever we perceive as painful or disgusting in some way. By remixing this combination and how they’re used to form our internal representations by how we use our imagination to produce an emotional reality by how we present ideas to ourselves, we can reprogram ourselves to health promoting behaviors that are pleasurable that also bring us fully back into a creative position of taking control of our own mind-body system by simply learning how to operate it through the laws that govern it.

Self-Mastery through Controlling Emotions – Consciously Working with the Motivating Force of the Material Plane

In order to fully understand emotions and their intimate connection to “experience”, we have to look at life from the multidimensional level of interpenetrating planes of existence that are all interacting to form a coordinated movement as what we experience as reality. Our material reality is formed of three basic levels: the mental, emotional, and physical, with a four-fold nature – mood, thought, emotions, and actions – which combines to form an idea as a living reality. Our reality is created in a cohesive manner out of our feelings and thoughts which are always connected to and congruent with our emotions, which together create our mental paradigm as an interlaced series of ideas generated out of a central idea, which acts more like a theme. The theme of life we form as our mind-set and attitude forms our life story as the type of story we’re always in the process of telling by how we perceive and interpret things to give them meaning and how we experience them through what we tell ourselves about them and how we behave in relationship to our own imaginings.

 
We’re always in the process of remaking others in our image and with the same qualities and character that we ourselves are comprised of by perceiving them through our mental paradigm. We are always “looking through” our paradigm as our perceptual lens, and reorganize everything to be understood, explained, and described using our paradigm to interpret it as a means of creating our experience of it. While we can say that reality itself is objective and neutral, non-personalized and universal in nature, or as existing primarily without actual meaning, how we experience it turns it into a personification as a subjective reality. We are subject to, and controlled and determined by, our own experience of reality. We’re subject to our own creation as our perception that’s a fundamental illusion that ultimately becomes delusional because we live out of it as if it’s true, and create in error as a result.

Within the natural realm where experience comes as a bodily sensation, emotion is the common denominator and the means of transmitting information across space and time. We receive information as emotions from other people and all sentient beings. Emotions form a language based on direct experience. It doesn’t communicate through specific thoughts, but rather by stimulating the same emotions in us, which determine what we think based on what we associate to the emotion, and how we relate the feelings to memories of various sorts. The emotions being communicated don’t make us think the specific thoughts of the individual putting them off, but causes us to think the same “type” of thoughts. While the thoughts associated to the emotion may be different from one individual to another, they act to express the emotions as a thought-process or memory that becomes the template for producing a behavioral dynamic as an outward expression.

 
Emotions are very compulsive, and create an inner activity that produces immediate, automatic, and reactive behaviors. Emotional charges of any kind produce an instant and equivalent reaction that renders us unconscious as we’re doing it. We don’t think about how we’re feeling and what we’re doing, we just act in an outburst or instant reaction, and serve to amplify and increase the emotion by becoming the channel for it. We allow the emotion to come through us, acting it out as an unconscious behavior, which causes a direct effect. Our emotional reactions, like any action, are creative in nature, and draw immediate as well as long-term consequences. They create a powerful experience that’s impacting, often to the point of being somewhat traumatizing, for both ourselves and others who are at the butt of our behaviors. Whatever we allow to “come through us”, we act as the channel for, that simultaneously shapes us and forms the basis for our life experiences as an accumulative affect that plays out over extended periods of time. This is a basic form of karma.

Emotions are a natural part of the instinctual field of the Earth, and are designed to work through the subconscious mind, which is the level of the mind we share with the animal kingdom, that serves to prompt automatic behaviors. This is a bit of a challenge with humans, who have the ability to think and make-up things by imagining them, and who begin thinking in response to emotions, creating whole imagined realities out of the emotions they’re experiencing. Fear is designed to prevent action or move us away from danger of some sort, which is what it does to animals, who as soon as the danger passes no longer feel the fear. With humans, when we feel fear, we begin thinking fearful thoughts and running imaginary scenarios through our mind as situations that intensify or give us more of the same type of fear. Even when the fear as an actual danger is past, we have trouble shaking the feeling, and continue thinking about and imagining fearful thoughts. When we feel emotional pain of some sort, we build whole imagined realities out of our pain, and keep experiencing it over and over by running those thoughts through our mind, conditioning ourselves to it as a common way of thinking and feeling that keeps us in a constant state of pain.

 
Whatever emotion we’re experiencing and indulging in, we’re also radiating and acting to stimulate that same emotion in everyone and everything around us. By stimulating it, we call it forth in them, creating an equivalent emotional state in both, out of which we enter into relationship with them through the shared emotion and it becomes the basis for our interaction, which amplifies and increases it by expressing it to create a joint reality. The joint reality created acts to strengthen the emotional state in both people, and they draw unto themselves the experiences it creates, which shapes who they are as people. Our experiences, created out of an unconscious emotional state become the memory of our soul, which reforms it to those types of realities, tuning it to them as a vibratory frequency, where it continues to create (express) out of the illusions they form.

 
Emotions are readily felt as a distinct feeling sensation in the body just by being in near proximity of someone exuding the emotions. Those who live out of strong emotions that are always controlling them somehow, impose a strong and distinct influence on everyone around them, by activating in them the same emotions. The language of the body and subconscious mind is emotional in nature and provides us with information about our environment that adjusts our “inner state” to match that of the “outer state” preparing us to deal with whatever it is we need to deal with. The fundamental law that governs evolution as a developmental process is a constant exchange of information as qualities and levels of consciousness with our environment. We take in and assimilate the energy and essence that surrounds us, adjusting us to the same molecular state as our surroundings preparing us for what’s coming and what we need to do to interact and survive in it. The mind exists in a basic state of anticipation and readiness. It’s always receiving information as a form of communication with everything around us by how we’re being stimulated emotionally, and how we’re acting to stimulate others through the emotions that are motivating our behaviors and how we’re perceiving our situation through the filter of our emotions.

Once we understand this, we can realize that emotions aren’t our enemy, as some believe, but rather our greatest tool for communicating below the level of awareness. By bringing our emotions under control, and being able to perceive them from an objective perspective as information about whoever is projecting them by expressing through them, we can recognize the reality those people live out of and communicate through. By seeing and sensing what their mental model is and how they create their realities by the emotions they allow to operate through them, we can learn how to effectively communicate with them through the language of their emotions using their model as the premise for illustrating it in a way they’ll easily understand. By being able to look at emotions from an objective, neutral perspective, by not letting them take hold “in us” and submerge us in the delusion that acts as the vehicle for transmission, we can see them as revealing information about the person transmitting them.

 
We can develop the ability to use emotions to communicate by realizing their powerful ability to produce actions. We can learn to step into emotional states, and express through them knowing that we’re penetrating people’s mind through the emotion which enters them without their awareness of what’s happening, where they readily take on the necessary state to automatically accept and act on the ideas attached to them. Emotions are the field that transmits information, the carrier wave that injects that idea as a suggestion into their subconscious mind, where it takes hold and begins developing by how they think about. How they think about it, and how they develop the idea into a personal reality, is based on the emotion attached to it. The emotion shapes the idea to be a reality that expresses the emotion and gives us more of the same feeling. Emotions exist in direct relationship to thoughts, and together shape an idea into an inner reality that then becomes the basis for an outer reality by how they project it and act on the idea through the behaviors they employ in response to it.

 
Emotions are the motivating forces of the material world, and are either controlling us without our awareness, or we can learn how to control them. By bringing natural forces under control, we can use them as tools for creating, by intentionally and deliberately using them to influence the minds of others, by operating through their subconscious mind. We can use emotions to deliver suggestions that operate at the subliminal level, and work through the same principles that govern hypnosis and the larger idea of brain-washing the masses. Any content delivered through a strong emotion enters the mind without resistance, takes hold, and begin commanding their will by controlling their thoughts. We don’t need to “act on them” by giving them further instruction through suggestions on “how to develop” the idea, we simply need to make sure we’ve connected it to the proper emotion by how we deliver it. The emotion connected to the idea will determine how they think about it, what they reference and associate to it, that will form it as an analogy or variation as a personalization, while still holding true to expressing the idea as the reality inherent in the emotion as an experience.

The mind has the ability to control and utilize the Elemental forces of Nature, of the natural world, that are primarily what we experience as emotions that contain whole realities in them as a self-organizing quality that shapes reality by how we perceive it. We “see though” our emotions, and only see what matches our emotions, and can be shaped into the story our emotions tell as living realities. These natural forces also have the ability to control the mind of the soul by determining how we use our creative capacity of thought, which shapes the Astral Light into conceptualized realities in the imagination, that become the perceptual lens that we look through and use to create our experiences by how we interpret the outer reality to tell the same story.

 
Thought and emotion are always connected and synchronized, one is impregnated with the other, it’s purely a question of orientation – are the thoughts commanding the emotions, or are the emotions commanding the thoughts? The plane of thought and emotion are parallel and operate by reverse laws on their individualized planes. On the upper universal plane of pure ideas as the potential (whole ideas) that forms thought, thought is active and emotions are passive. Thought invokes emotion in response to it. On the lower plane of emotion, thoughts are passive and emotions are active. Emotions control and determine how we think and what we think about. On the material plane thought is nearly always a response to emotion. By gaining the ability to take conscious control of this process, and orientate ourselves to the higher plane of thoughts and ideas, we can control and regulate our emotional states by employing intentional thoughts that automatically invoke in us their emotional equivalent. By stepping into an idea and allowing the emotions associated to it take affect, we can see the emotional state that’s the natural equivalent of the thought. We can then know what types of emotions are naturally attached to certain types of thoughts, and we obtain “formulas” for transferring ideas through emotional expressions.

 
Thought itself, which is usually formed out of memory of some sort, differs with every person, but emotions are universal and something we all share in common. While our thoughts and ideas may not invoke the same emotional response in others, because thoughts are individual based largely on personal memories, emotions are thematic and act to produce imagined realities as the type of memories associated to that emotion. This thematic quality of emotions gives them a universal appeal because it determines the “type” of thoughts we think, and what type of realities we imagine based on the memories associated to the emotion. Our experiences are a combination of thought and emotion that form a unified reality as their combined outward expression. Because we come into this world in a primarily subconscious state, which forms our programming as memories that are largely emotionally based, where we experience an emotion in a life situation that we then form into a story as the expression of the emotion that makes it mean something, associating that type of idea to the emotion, which forms the memory as apart of a larger reference system. Anytime thereafter that same emotion is stimulated in us, we associate it to the same type of idea as the memory which produces a thought-process that tells the same type of story about what’s happening and becomes the basis for re-creating it by acting it out as an experience of reality. So while they may have a different memory attached to the emotion, it still creates the reality inherent in that emotion that’s consistent to the theme of the emotion. If the emotion being communicated through is “sad” and causes them to feel sad, they’ll recall the memories in which they felt sad, and use those memories to recreate a similar experience. They’ll think sad thoughts and see around them only what matches that feeling and can be used to tell the same type of story. Likewise, a feeling of enthusiasm and excitement causes them to access whatever ideas and memories that were created out of a state of excitement, and they think the same type of thoughts applying them to the present.

So the real communication, the one that’s universal in nature, is the emotional content of the communication, which comes through how we’re communicating it with our whole being; our physiology, gestures, tone of voice, facial expressions, timing and emphasis, and so on. The emotional content is the actual transference of information as associated ideas, that, while it allows for individual association of thoughts, it always organizes thoughts into the same theme of the emotion, and what thoughts they imagine in response to the emotion, will still act to express the emotion as a personification of a universal theme. What’s individualized on the higher realm of pure thought is universal on the lower realm of emotion. And what’s universal or shared in common on the emotional plane, is individualized on the higher realm of thought. Again, the universal and individual operating as opposites that are complementary, as active and passive elements of the same thing.

 
So the first step in self-mastery is learning how to control our emotional reactions, and in doing so, become aware of what memories you have associated with those emotions, and what internal realities they serve to activate in you as your unconscious and automatic reaction, where the emotion controls you, and you’re being controlled by others and your environment. First by refraining from reacting to emotional triggers, while turning your awareness inward and becoming aware of what’s happening inside of you and what memories you begin thinking about (as a theme) because of the emotion being activated that becomes the basis for a pattern of automatic behavior as an unconscious reaction. By practicing self-reflection you can begin becoming aware of the true nature of emotions, and how they keep you living out of the past as automated behaviors that keep producing the same type of realities that produce the same type of consequences. Through this awareness you can realize how emotions act to engage and control you. By becoming self-aware you can begin realizing that the emotional states of others only affect you if you let them. If you remain unaware of the nature of emotional charges as the projection or transmission of electrical currents being put off by others, and how you act to naturally receive them and become infected with them then you continue to create your life experiences without direct awareness of what’s happening. You can begin to realize how the emotions and realities being projected by others are an expression of their paradigm and have nothing to do with you, unless of course, you let it by taking it on as your own and cooperate in acting it out with them.

Through this awareness you can begin neutralizing emotions, while still maintaining an awareness of them, and be able to receive and discern the information about others they communicate, without letting them take hold and begin controlling you. Once you reach this state of being able to view and interpret emotions from an objective, non-personal perspective, whole new worlds open up and self-control becomes something that’s easy to do. And even when you get momentarily caught up in an emotional reaction being projected at you, you can catch your self midstream, and back out of it by diffusing it, and begin taking back control of our own thoughts and actions. Through this practice alone you can regain your ability to create in a more deliberate and intentional way, creating with a sense of purpose in what you do with an awareness of the consequences it renders and the series of events it sets into motion as a result.
