My Experience and what I Learned about the True Nature of the Soul from doing Past Life Regressions

I was born into this life a natural skeptic and never took anything at face value. From as far back as I can remember, whenever I encountered a religious, spiritual, or psychic idea of any kind, whether it was in church or at a neighbor’s house who did astrology or psychic readings, if something didn’t make sense to me, I didn’t “believe it”, and instead took an attitude of investing it to find the error involved. It was as if there was a part of me that knew the truth and I had a well-developed form of intuition. I also gravitated passionately towards the sciences and philosophy and took up a devoted study of these subjects at a very young age. So naturally, when I came into what’s now called “spiritual sciences” (Sacred or Esoteric Sciences), it was like coming home. Yet the modern-day versions of this formed by what we call the “new age movement”, grossly distorted much of the teachings through a lack of comprehension regarding the universal laws involved and how to accurately interpret them in developing true intuition and sound scientific methods for traversing the multidimensional planes that are all interlaced within this one.

As I went along in life I went through many challenging situations where I learned about my true spiritual nature and practice through the experience of seeming to know what to do and having many strengths and virtues already developed as a fundamental part of my nature. I pursued education in Naturopathic Medicine, Herbology, and traditional Psychology, and finally ended up in “Esoteric Sciences”, which turned out to be my true love. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Clinical Hypnotherapy, which is an in-depth study of the mind and the principles involved in using different aspects (the self-conscious and higher conscious) to program and direct the creation of the subconscious, which is the aspect of our mind constructing and projecting our entire material reality out of our mental paradigm. This same operation, which is occurring all the time at the unconscious level, can also be performed through hypnotherapy. My doctorate is in Esoteric Sciences, which expanded into self-mastery, understanding the universal laws governing the mind and creation, the Healing Arts, and of course our psychic, astral aspect, also referred to as our soul.

As I went through my studies, I also took seminars on a regular basis that often included 3 and 4 day workshops at the end, that went into specific subjects and the different methods for practicing these. Strangely enough, I never had an interest in past life regression, because I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, and as a result of the fact that I wasn’t comfortable allowing others to try and hypnotize me, because so few people actually understand the principles involved or know how to do it in a proficient and effective manner. But one of the workshops I signed up for and paid for in advance was canceled, and there was no refunds, so I had to pick another workshop. A class on Past Life Regression (PLR) was being taught by a man who was world renowned for his methods, so I decided to explore it with an open mind. After going through the 4 day workshop and undergoing several regressions, I realized this was one of the greatest methods for “true healing” I had ever come across, and pursued it from that point on with an attitude of perfecting it as a method conducted through a well-written script (most hypnotic processes are performed using scripts).

Through the course of the next few years, I took several classes and workshops and became totally involved in developing my method to a point where there was never any form of “suggestion” being given, and by achieving “rapport” as a primary form of mental entrainment (natural hypnosis as mind-reading), where I could literally “see” in my mind’s eye a vague impression of their perceptions. I also had others use my own method whenever I underwent a regression and was able to move into the memories of past lives buried deep within my own psyche (our souls constitution is comprised of memory) with vivid detail. Not so much in terms of the physical features and elements of that life, but more in terms of what that life was about, the drama as thematic patterns that were being played out that I was also playing out in this life, albeit in a different way, and the realizations that resulted from them. From these experiences I knew where my intuition was coming from, and I was able to see my karma in a new light where I knew what it was I needed to do as a means of rectifying it.

I later went on to become board certified by the IBRT (International Board of Regression Therapy), wrote professional manuals on it, and conducted professional training for years. I also practiced extensive forms of meditation over the years and developed heightened mental abilities, one of which was what we call the “witnessing” faculty, which takes on a third-person perspective and simply observes the activities of the “mind” from a neutral and detached perspective. In this article, I’m simply going to convey what I learned through open minded exploration, extensive practice, and from direct experience that wasn’t based on preconceived beliefs or “suggestions” given by an inexperienced practitioner.

Past Lives as a Psychic Reading

Let me start by assuring you that there is no such thing as having a “past life reading” by a psychic of some kind. When you take this approach, you’re engaging in an “illusion” as a very basic form of suggestion, and you can’t know what a past life was “about” without “being in the experience of it”, where natural realizations arise, and you make a direct connection to your current life in terms of “patterns” being played out that all have a common theme to them. If you understand that memories are patterns of thought that have certain frequencies, and were created by “you”, which means the same inner nature, mind, and soul, and you understand the basic laws of physics as “vibration”, you’ll realize that you “access memory” through “resonance”, and only you can access your own memories of past lives in terms of being “in them” with the same “feelings” you had as an experience.

Hypnotic regression is the only true method for doing this, and as you realize things about your past lives, you’ll also come to understand and thereby learn to “trust” your intuition. A lot of times your intuition (inner knowing) around things is formed out of knowledge you acquired and integrated into your being in past lives, and now comes as an inner knowing or special abilities of some kind. The other challenge you’re going to face is being able to find a truly good hypnotherapist, because unfortunately this area has been bastardized by those who take weekend certification courses and then call themselves “hypnotherapists” and concentrate more on writing cool scripts than on the actual psychology of what they’re doing. Because they lack a basic understanding of how the subconscious works, they often conduct the process by feeding you constant suggestions, which the subconscious readily takes in and imagines as a form of memory, and you go on a purely imaginary journey as a result. Both imaginary ideas and memory are created in the faculty of the imagination, making it easy to confuse them. One of the biggest differences comes in the fact that actual memories give rise to a whole series of “realizations” that are systematically born out of them and form an intimate connection to your current life in terms of similar patterns and ideas being played out. I know a few people who are very popular and considered experts in PLR and what they call “in-between lives”, whose script leads everyone to the same reality and conclusion without them seeming to realize that it’s because they’re giving them constant suggestions by the type of questions they ask and the language they use.

What I came to Realize through Experience

Much of what I learned through experience that was born out of memory was completely unexpected and a bit mind-boggling in relation to conventional thought on the nature of the mind, soul, time, and reality. Here are some rather interesting ideas that came from experience. I’ll start off with a general description of consistent features that not only accompanied my own experiences, but just about everyone I regressed, all without any suggestion born out of the type of questions I was asking.

All regressions begin by setting an intention or making a specific type of inquiry. Whatever “intention” you set for the regression determines what memory (life) you access. Most ask for information about a problem or relationship, but you can also ask for information around gifts, talents, special abilities, life purpose, and life-long interests.

Some hypnotists will get distracted with things designed to “prove” past lives are real by asking about things like what year it is, what’s your name, what town are you in, and so on, which is meaningless in the most basic sense and will hardly ever stand out unless it was an important part of your experience.

What’s important isn’t so much the actual setting or events and circumstances of that life, but how you experienced it, how you felt, what psychological dramas you were playing out as life themes, and how they all culminated as “realizations” you formed because of them. This is because at the end of each life our memory is formed as a summation and conclusion we form around what that life was about and how we created and developed our “self” as a result. This is the actual memory that’s absorbed and assimilated into the higher part of our soul, which is constantly evolving by acquiring memory of itself through numerous personalities and different life situations, all of which bring new types of experiences while playing out the same type of life themes. We evolve our soul’s memory through that life, whether unconsciously or with conscious awareness, and the accumulated experiences are synthesized into a whole memory as our character and inner nature, which becomes the “karmic seed” for a new and succeeding life cycle. Every life provides us with a step in our souls overall growth and becomes the means through which we “evolve” ourselves by learning how to create from a primarily conscious state of self-awareness.

As you go through the “death experience” of that life, which you should always do, you have clear and profound realizations of what that life was about in terms of what was meaningful and what wasn’t. In going through the experience of dying and transcending my body, as well as other people’s experience, I realized that our experience of dying is based on our beliefs in that life. We form our experience out of our beliefs and expectations just like we do in life, because it’s the “same mind” that’s creating both. It’s our mind that transcends our body as our soul and it continues to create its own experiences in the afterlife. I realized with a deepened sense of clarity that there’s no such thing as death in terms of the mind and spirit, it’s only the body and the identity created through our body that dies. We continue to create our experience in death, which is merely a different dimension of existence, in much the same way we create our experiences in living, except we no longer associate our “self” with being our body. We take on a much more universal identity, formed through numerous lifetimes and personalities where we have a direct awareness of being the one who created that life experience from a primarily unconscious state. Every death experience I had was different, even though they all involved a similar process.

The only part of us that’s carried forward after death is what we acquired through experience and practice, where it was “built into” (integrated) our subconscious and became a natural part of our nature and character. All synthesis takes place through “experience” where its integrated into our mental paradigm as a coherent memory that forms a “holographic model” also known as our etheric double or “light body”. Any idea or education only held as a theory and never practiced and acquired through direct experience, dies with the body. It’s only what we acted to “create” as an experience of ourselves that we carry forward into future lives.

We play out the same karmic patterns as theme-based dramas with the same group of souls, and by playing different parts and roles in the same overall idea. We can recognize these souls by looking in their eyes. The eyes always reveal the soul of a person, regardless of what they look like. The relationship is always similar in nature regardless of gender, role, culture, or status, and the same type of feeling and dynamic is played out through a different set of conditions and circumstances. We continue to play out these same dynamics and life themes with the same souls until we act within our own life to transform them.

As you relive any part of that life, you’re also making a direct connection to that same feeling and idea playing out in your current life. This connection comes from the “feeling” you have, and the dynamic associated with it that naturally emerges out of that feeling. Many past life memories come more as feelings that form vague impressions that seem far off in the distance and have a sense of familiarity around them. Almost like a déjà vu that you can’t quite put your finger on.  

There’s always 2 parts of you reliving the memory – one is directly in the experience as the body having it from within it, while another part of you is removed from it and viewing it like a movie while overseeing the greater process. These different aspects of yourself can be thought of as your higher self, which never incarnates into the physical body or material world, but remains outside of it, “watching” or witnessing it, while also conducting, orchestrating and administering it. This aspect of the soul is also what we can call the true “conscious mind” of a higher plane, that’s always awake and aware from a detached, rational, and unemotional perspective, and serves to guide and teach us through prayer, dreams, and intuition. The part of us that’s in the body and directly experiencing the story that’s playing out, is our lower soul, which enters an unconscious state and plays out the drama without realizing it’s all being created by them, and so they mistake it as being real and all there is.

Whatever conclusion we draw as realization at the end of the life, becomes the basis for the next life where the same basic idea is reestablished through our conditioning and life situation, where we either continue to play it out unconsciously, or we begin realizing we have the ability and means to transform and lead it by use of our conscious mind, and through this awareness of our true nature, dissolve unconscious patterns and begin creating and directing our life experiences from a self-aware state. This comes by detaching from the emotions involved in any situation, which are always attached to memories, and begin viewing and processing everything through our rational, reasoning mind, where we see it in a different light and can easily direct our own behavior and actions.

Many of our natural fears, apprehensions, phobia’s, anxiety around different ideas, and tendencies that can’t be explained as being acquired through our current life, were formed in previous lives and come to us through deep seated memory that’s not “seen” but “felt” in a pronounced and all-pervading manner. The memory formed out of these experiences become our higher soul’s constitution as our nature, personality, and character.

Our physical appearance and general features tend to be similar in every life, regardless of gender or race. This may be due to the fact that our “mind” is what forms itself as our etheric/astral blueprint which is used to construct our body and general makeup, and this same “image of ourselves” as a hologram is formed and evolved through each incarnation, varying only by how the mind itself evolves from lifetime to lifetime. We also form the same basic “personality”, varying only by the influences of our genetic makeup and gender or cultural conditioning. Every lifetime I experienced I had similar features, characteristics, and type of personality, all of which only varied in degree from my current life.

Once a past life is revisited and viewed from within it, it comes as a vague memory at first, that can seem far off in the distance yet imbued with a pronounced feeling of affinity. Once this memory is brought into our current life it acts like a seed for opening the door between what seems like the past and present, and as we go through our everyday life more and more memories or realizations come into our awareness, either in a spontaneous way, or through associations of some kind. New details seem to unfold in a continuous manner, in much the same way a flower blooms or a seedling grows to maturity. As this happens, you become more and more aware of the karma involved, and you become much clearer on what you need to do in this lifetime to resolve and redeem yourself by rectifying or counterbalancing it.

The Mind-Boggling Nature of Deeper Planes of Existence

As I went along, viewing several lifetimes, I came into direct contact with a deeper awareness that these lifetimes weren’t happening in a singular, linear timeline, where one followed another in a synchronized fashion, but instead seemed to be happening “all at once”. This came in a direct sense when I had visited one life, realized the pattern-theme I was acting out, and how that same tendency was playing out in my current life, and I resolved it (healed myself of it psychologically), and when I revisited that same life later through an intention I set, the dynamic that had been playing out earlier had changed, and I was no longer acting it out. At first this struck me as being strange and somewhat confusing, so I did it a couple of more times, and found it resulted in the same phenomena. I then did the same process with a few other people without telling them what I was doing, and again, got the same result.

This is when I really started grasping the true significance of “time” being an illusion (created by the conscious mind), and is actually “cyclical” in nature, and that the reason “prophecy was possible”, was because from a higher or outer plane everything on the lower inner plane had “already happened” and was being viewed in its entirety. We are simply “submerged within it” as a means of experiencing ourselves through it as a part of it. The same principle plays out on different levels and scales, one nested within the other as coherent states, and we’re all playing out a personal story within the greater story of mankind that are of a similar nature. Much like a hologram where the part contains the whole, and the whole contains the part, because they’re comprised of the same information being viewed from different perspectives and being interpreted in a way that makes it into a personal experience.

I then realized that some “lives” appeared to be running concurrently, or through “overlapping time-frames”. Some lifetimes that were being conducted from different bodies and life circumstances by the “same soul”, seemed to overlap each other by several years. Where two or three were “alive” at the same time at different places on Earth, all playing out a similar theme through a similar personality. This brought a whole new perspective to the idea that we’re all born as “twins”, and the scientific principle of entanglement, polarity, and quantum superposition, where a person can appear in two places at once, and the fact that we’re all multidimensional beings living on different levels simultaneously and the realization that “all lives” were happening at the same time. If we change the “state” of one as its inner constitution, the others all change in the same way instantaneously because they’re all being produced by the same soul. Not as a pathway of communication, but because they were all the “same essence”, the same thing. The physical body exist simultaneously as a waveform. This gave me new insight into the idea of the soul being “eternal” and not living within the time-space continuum, but existing on a higher or greater level where time doesn’t exist, and the now known fact that time is a mental construct formed by our conscious mind and doesn’t exist at the subconscious level.

After encountering these ideas, which were mind-boggling in terms of how we’ve been taught to think about time, I was walking down the beach on a moonlit night, and I had a distinct vision of myself as an accomplished teacher and speaker, while also wondering why I had never had a “spiritual teacher” in my life. I always seemed to be self-taught, no matter what I embarked on. I was literally modeling an “image of myself” that seemed like a form of memory. Even when I was going to school for Spiritual Sciences I was always involved in a very independent way of thinking about things that seemed to come about through a form of memory as “knowing”, which I simply attributed to my creative nature, when I suddenly realized this vision of myself that I was “modeling” was actually myself in “the future”. This led me to exploring the possibility of doing “future progressions”. What I discovered from doing this was that I could access my future self in this life, but that my future self as a different person, wasn’t on this same plane and type of experience, and hadn’t been determined yet, because it was based on how I continued to develop myself through the choices I made and how I formed my moral nature based on those choices.

This led me to realize that life comes as an evolutionary process of growth and development conducted by our own hand, and that while we can change the past by changing the same karmic patterns playing out in the present, we can’t know the future life until we conclude this one, because it’s based on the summation of this point in our evolution as a “single memory”. I also seemed to lead me into the idea that whenever we’re faced with a major life decision that will change our path in a significant or fundamental way, that the path we were on before making the decision keeps on playing out on a parallel plane while we begin creating a new path through our decision. It came as more of a fork in the road where even though we chose to go down one, the other remained and led to its destination. This completely changed the way I thought about reality and the multidimensional nature of my soul that contradicted everything I had been taught.

This brought me in touch with the “Law of Paradox”, where one idea of a similar nature appears to completely contradict another one, yet both exist and are true. This is the point where we realize through direct experience that different planes operate according to different laws and exist in polarity to each other as correspondences and possibilities. With this realization I came to understand how we can use the laws of a higher plane to work with the laws and forces of the lower plane and transmute them as a result. We can transcend the lower plane by vibrating on the higher one that corresponds with it. The reason we can’t accurately see future lives is because the future is being created in the moment by our thoughts and decisions, and the actions we take as a result of them. We are the one creating our self and our future life through active use of choice and free will, and this would be taken away from us if we were to see a future, we hadn’t acted to create for ourselves. To show us what our future holds would violate our free will and ability to be self-determined, which is a universal law that all beings must obey.

Any future life is based on the frequency we cultivate in this life through how we create our experiences and then integrate them into our mental model as memory of ourselves. Our mental model is steadily developed throughout our life and becomes the “karmic seed” for continuing the same idea in our next life. There isn’t a planning process performed by a kind of committee, it’s all based on vibration as the patterns we establish and maintain. Whoever we act out thematic patterns with as a shared reality, we continue to incarnate with where we play out the same type of patterns while playing different roles in those same patterns. It’s the patterns of our life as a general theme that we use to shape our identity, and it’s our identity (“I” and “I AM”) that determines our future life.

General Conclusions

These are the realizations I formed from direct experience, some of which completely defied common beliefs that we’ve been taught through conventional means. Through hypnosis, where we completely subdue and put to sleep the self-conscious, thinking aspect of our mind, and we reside fully within the subconscious, which contains all the memories we’ve acquired in a deep and somewhat latent form, can be directed to recall memories of specific lifetimes based on the intention we set as a form of “self-inquiry” about our own nature. Whatever intention you set as a way of asking for more information around an area of your current life, directs your subconscious to reference and access that memory. It does this by recalling only the significant events of that lifetime that pertain to your question, because each life is synthesized into a single memory as a mental model that contains all the information acquired through experience in a single and coherent state. This operates in much the same way you form and maintain memory in your current life, where you only remember and can recall the events that had a significant emotional impact and played a major role in how you formed your identity by how you interpreted them. How many people can remember the address of the house they lived in when they we a kid by the time they’re in their 60’s or 70’s? Especially if they moved around allot as a child. It’s the major events of our life that shape us and that we continue to use throughout our life as a means of creating more of the same type of experiences.

There’s no such thing as a series of single memories that are independent and unrelated to each other or to all your memories. All perceptions, projections, reorganization of information, interpretations, meaning, and internal dialogue is formed out of the same mental model to form how we experience the events of our life, and we reabsorb all our experiences back into the same model that produced them as a variation, where they’re integrated in a way that’s harmonious with the whole, upgrading it accordingly as a primary means of evolving it to a higher and more expanded level of understanding. This is how it is that we’re always creating ourselves by how we restructure our reality to form how we experience it, and then identify with our own creation.

What’s referred to as a “life review” we have as we’re dying that comes as a part of transitioning, where we view the significant events of our life through what appears as a chronological timeline, and we have the “experience” that we “caused others” through our actions, is the integrative process as a summary of all our life experiences into a single model that forms our “nature” (soul essence). Our internal essence as our character forms into what becomes our predisposition, temperament, attitude, tendencies, beliefs, values, preferences, life theme, memories, and internal image of ourselves, and is what forms the basis for our next life. It’s all formed into a single paradigm and becomes our karmic seed for the next life experience as a continuation born out of the same essence. Each life is simply one part and perspective in a continuous evolutionary growth process, where we’re the only one acting on ourselves as a means of evolving ourselves through various life cycles.

Realizing your True Self and Embodying your Power to Consciously Create Yourself

The process of personal transformation (Alchemy) as a form of spiritual regeneration comes as a process that has two basic stages. The first stage is what’s often referred to as our psychological healing, where we shed our false ego built through our formative conditioning, and the second comes by learning how to employ the principles necessary for developing our self to a higher level of self-awareness and creativity. The first stage is necessary as a means of laying the proper foundation for creating ourselves through our ability to develop our true character from a fully conscious and self-aware state. This stage of transformation comes by identifying and removing all the “false-images and ideas” we’ve taken on about ourselves that cover over or prevent our true light from shining through. Most of us start out in life by absorbing and taking on other people’s ideas about “who” and “how” we should be and by the time we’ve become young adults we’ve lost touch with who we are in terms of our essential nature, what our life purpose is, or what we came here to learn through experience as a means of evolving ourselves.

Each one of us is born into life as a “karmic seed” that’s comprised of an archetypal matrix of qualities and characteristics that form a distinct theme, which contains the entire “plan for our life” (Divine Providence) that unfolds through a natural growth process. We are perfectly “designed” to fulfill our life purpose which unfolds in a synchronized manner as a correlated series of events that set natural processes in motion. The events of our life unfold with perfect timing because one naturally arises and evolves out of the other as an expression of our consciousness. As we go through one life experience, we develop inherent parts of our character and our mental model, which is comprised of the memory attained through our experiences, which sets up the circumstances necessary for the next series of events to evolve out of in a completely natural way. Our character forms our essential nature as our personality out of which all our natural behaviors are formed and come in an automatic way. Our mental paradigm is what forms the “lens” we “look through” as a means of perceiving the outer world.

Nothing comes into our life until we are ready for it as a level and quality of consciousness because we’re the one projecting it and “calling it forth” through our vibratory frequency. A frequency has both a pattern and a self-assembling mechanism inherent in it that works at both the unconscious and conscious level simultaneously. We all have what we can call a “signature frequency” (formed as our mental paradigm) that works through the greater field of information surrounding us (outer reality) to only activate and bring forth in that field what “matches” our paradigm through “resonance”. What we perceive as an outer reality is a field of information that exists in a neutral state of “probability”. Each one of us vibrates at our own unique frequency, and we energetically “influence” the outer field into a configuration that correlates with the thematic pattern of our mental model. Each person “acts on” the same field of information (consciousness) by only vibrating the parts that are congruent with their paradigm and uses the selected parts to reform it in a way that brings a consistent version of reality as an experience of “themselves”. Our outer reality reflects our inner reality, because both created by the same “mind”. We tend to think of ourselves as a physical being within a neutral reality that’s objective in nature, but the fact is all reality as we’re capable of knowing and experiencing it, is subjective in nature, and formed in a way that’s unique to us as our own creation. Every single person who views that same reality as a material formation (tree, house, car, landscape, etc.), will experience it in a slightly different way, based on the structure of the “mind”.

The outer reality is formed through our perception of it as a mental construct. Our mind is constructed of information that’s highly organized and synthesized into a coherent model. It forms a dynamic series of correlated “filters” that are superimposed over our outer reality as a way of reorganizing it into a construct that reflects our paradigm. These filters are primarily formed by beliefs, values, preferences, temperament, perspective, and memories, which are all synthesized into a “single model”. These filters are interactive as different aspects of a greater whole in much the same way each of our character traits blend harmoniously in forming our personality and producing all our natural and unconscious behaviors. Beliefs can be very hard to recognize as such due to the fact that our mind acts naturally (at the unconscious level) to construct the reality of our beliefs, making them seem real.

Two Minds

The Dual Nature of our Mind

We’re always working in every moment to shape our physical existence using two primary aspects of our mind and self, called our subconscious and self-conscious, which make up what we refer to as our “lower self”. This aspect of our mind is comprised of both our instinctual, emotional, conditioned self, and our self-aware, rational, intellect, which builds whole realities out of thoughts. Our intellect is the aspect of our material mind that forms our outer awareness as our “waking mind” and is what forms our internal dialogue as thoughts that run constantly in a habitual manner. Our thinking mind of outer awareness is the aspect of our self that perceives the outer reality being projected by our subconscious and interprets the events of our life to make them “mean” something. Whatever meaning we give something forms the story we tell ourselves about it which forms the basis for how we “experience ourselves” through our own self-created story about things. As we tell ourselves a story about something, we “sense ourselves” through it and begin identifying with it as a result.

Meaning, like the mind that produces it, is also threefold in nature, and whatever meaning we give an event or situation, means something about us, about others, and about the way the world is in general. The world in general sets the stage necessary for playing out our story in a way that makes sense, where we’re the main star and others are the costars of our movie. We create on three levels to form a single idea where every element is a logical and cohesive part of the same overall story. This way we can play out smaller stories within greater stories of the same basic idea. We’re always creating in a cohesive manner out of a coherent model where the same idea plays out harmoniously on multiple levels and scales of increasing complexity.

If you pay close attention to your own thoughts, you’ll notice that there’s always “one part of you” talking to “another part of you”. You’re always talking to yourself inside your mind, explaining, describing, justifying, and forming a narrative around things that are also being “projected” by your own “mental model” as your perception, and then being interpreted through your model to form a story about them. The experience formed is then “reabsorbed and synthesized” back into your model as a variant that acts to upgrade it somehow. This process of inner dialogue as “storytelling” is the most primary and completely natural way you’re always in the process of using your self-conscious mind to “program” your subconscious to produce the “reality of your thoughts” as an “experience of yourself”. You’re always the one creating the reality that you then use as the means of experiencing yourself. What we’re referring to here as “yourself” isn’t your body and personality, its your mind and soul. Your soul exists as your “entire reality”, not just an aspect of it.

As we have emotionally intense experiences as a child, we try to make sense of them by telling ourselves a story about what they mean. Due to the fact that our rational, logical, reasoning mind hasn’t begun developing yet (starts developing at puberty), our interpretation stems from the emotion we’re experiencing because of the event. As we form emotional interpretations of why something is happening and what it means about us, we also start forming natural behaviors that we do in an automatic fashion anytime we’re experiencing that same emotion without direct awareness of what we’re doing or why. As we continue to play them out in a consistent and unconscious manner they become a major “creative factor” and we build “mental complexes” out of them.

A complex comes as an idea about ourselves, such as . . . I’m not loved, wanted, worthy, good enough, smart enough, and so on, and go on to become the “theme” of our “life story” and what we use as the means of experiencing ourselves and shaping our identity as we grow into young adults. A complex comes as a whole dynamic (pattern) that’s played out at both the unconscious and conscious level. We maintain the behavior that we associate with causing the activity at an unconscious level as a way of initiating the dynamic, and then live it out with awareness where we form the illusion that the other person is “doing it to us”. We fail to see our part in co-creating it because we remain unaware of what it is we’re doing that produces a consistent response. Our “life theme” is what forms our perception of the world outside of ourselves and what we use to not only bring alive and rearrange our reality to match our interpretation, but as the means of creating ourselves (our character and identity) through a consistent type of experience that we build up over time.

A person who feels they’re “not good enough”, for example, will only “see” in any situation what can be used to create an experience of it, and will interpret any situation and set of behaviors being displayed by others to “mean”, once again, they’re not good enough. They will unconsciously continue to display the same type of behaviors that led to them feeling as if they weren’t good enough, and that caused others to treat them that way as a result, while remaining unaware of what they’re doing that’s causing it. If someone compliments or admires them, they’ll simply interpret it in a way that makes it out to mean whatever they need it to in order to keep telling their story about themselves. Such as, you’re just being nice, you don’t mean it, you’re not sincere, or you just want something from me. They’ll somehow interpret even the most positive intentions and behaviors to match their belief about themselves. This is how we get “locked into” a false reality produced by our own beliefs and can live our whole life out of a delusion without ever realizing it’s something we’re making up.

By the time our rational intellect starts developing and coming into play in a dominant role where we can form new interpretations from a rational perspective (starts around 12 to 14 years old, and is fully active around 21 to 28 years of age), we’ve already built up our story as strong feelings and beliefs about ourselves, and we use our creative mind to build a narrative out of our story instead of as the means of transforming it. By the time our conscious mind comes into play as our individuality, we’ve already established our mental model out of our conditioning and how we interpreted things as a child, and we continue to “see” and “create” the same type of experiences. This is because what we call our conscious mind is an aspect of our subconscious that’s birthed completely within the reality formed by our subconscious. Instead of using our conscious mind to dissolve our emotional delusions and begin telling a new kind of story, we use it as a means of embellishing our story and forming our identity out of it.

The Archetypal Design of our Soul as our Karmic Seed

Our karmic seed comes as our “inner nature” and personality as a form of archetypal design (revealed through our astrological birth-chart) based on how we’ve developed and grown ourselves in previous lifetimes, and by how we’ve created out of a unconscious state. This comes as a completely natural part of ourselves as our character, which forms our predisposition, temperament, natural tendencies, talents, special abilities, and interests in life. Our karma is “set-up” and reestablished through our formative conditioning through a “cause and effect” process of “stimulus – response”. Our life situation and family dynamics are always acting to stimulate and call forth certain aspects of our character, where they’re expressed and developed into habitual patterns through the dynamics being played out. Other parts of our character remain dormant and unstimulated and form what becomes the basis for our “latent potential”. Potential that remains dormant and undeveloped within us can only be activated naturally through live situations that serve to stimulate, awaken, and call it forth as a natural response where it’s then utilized as a means of handling the situation. We can also develop ourselves in a conscious manner by recognizing what lies hidden within us, and deciding to bring it forth and begin utilizing it by intentionally employing it in our daily life.

All “properties” have behaviors inherent in them that are only brought out and expressed through an interaction of complementary opposites. Its’ only through “contrast” as the natural relationship between opposites of the same idea that aspects of ourselves are brought into creative expression where we can use them to experience ourselves in new ways. As we create new experiences of ourselves, we start building up those experiences as a way of defining ourselves with new qualities. We can only work to develop qualities in ourselves when they’re being stimulated from an outside, complementary source of some kind, and are in an active state. Even when we decide to start utilizing latent aspects of our nature in a willful manner through imaginary processes, where we play out various scenarios while designing a new response that replaces an old one, we only know if it worked when we’re in a live situation where we’re actually being stimulated, and it comes forth as a natural response.

We often think we’ve formed new patterns that resolve and transform issues born out of our conditioning because we’ve developed and replayed them in our mind over and over, giving our subconscious a new pattern as an automatic response. But we don’t ever really know if it took hold and is permanent until we’re involved in a live interaction where strong emotions associated with our issue as an “activating device” are being openly displayed and projected towards us and we employ the new response without having to think about. However, what we can do in a live situation is immediately recognize what’s being activated within us and why, and through this awareness gain control of ourselves where we can use the new pattern we’ve rehearsed mentally as an alternative that can be employed without having to design it on the spot. Often, what the imaginary process does is give you an alternative reaction you can employ as a well-thought-out idea in the heat of the moment when you’re being emotionally triggered. One of the problems we can have in forming new responses is that in the moment when we’re being triggered by an outside stimulus we can’t think clearly and don’t have an alternative we can use in its place as a means of consciously managing the situation and bringing our own reaction under our control. When we change our own reactions and the behaviors and activities that automatically issue forth out of them, we begin transforming our experiences and our “self” by way of those experiences.

Removing False Ideas about Yourself

 The first stage of transformation comes by separating out what’s false from what’s true. You must recognize and then remove ideas that you’ve taken on about yourself that were given to you by others, formed out of how others judged you, established through guilt, shame, or obligation, as a means of controlling you, or that you developed in order to be accepted by a particular social group. The most basic way to do this is by learning to recognize your own “essence” as a form of “design”. Step outside of the image you’ve built up in your mind about yourself, let go of the attachments you’ve formed to this idea about yourself, and begin soul-searching by asking yourself some basic questions. You know when your answer is true and therefor relevant, because in answering it a whole series of correlated realizations will spontaneously arise out of it as a chain of associated ideas that act to expand it.

Start off with questions like . . .

  • What have you always had a natural interest in and always felt compelled towards?
  • What is it you’ve always felt an attraction towards as a kind of affinity?
  • What kind of activities do you enjoy doing and look forward to with a sense of excitement and anticipation?
  • What kind of ideas fill you with a sense of purpose in life?
  • When you were a kid, what type of ideas and roles did you naturally aspire towards? Who were your favorite characters and types of stories?
  • What is it that you consistently gravitate towards and see yourself doing?
  • What is it that when you engage in it energizes you and gives you a deepened sense of satisfaction and well-being?
  • What type of situations make you feel like you’re in your element?
  • When you think about your life, what is it that you consistently see yourself doing as a kind of vision for your life?
  • What special abilities and natural talents do you have?
  • What kind of things do you love?
  • What kind of ideas give you a sense of purpose out of which a whole vision of your life naturally emerges as a vivid possibility?
  • As an adult, what roles do you naturally play in life? (caretaker, parent, teacher, activist, leader, innovator, problem-solver, encouraging others, etc.)
  • What skills have you developed that came natural to you?

If you answer these types of questions by “journaling about them” (writing out answers in an in-depth manner where other ideas spontaneously emerge), it’ll open a gate that allows you to access and touch upon deeper parts of yourself that may have been dulled and covered over, skewed to a new form, or conditioned out of you. Again, all answers must be based on you and only you and not from an idea someone else gave you or told you was true about you, or what you “should do and be like” as a form of judgment. This is purely your own feelings and ideas about yourself and your life that exist “within in”.

The important thing to remember here is that we’re all born into this life with a “vision” for our life that comes natural as a form of “seed”. We are “designed” with all the qualities and traits necessary to fulfill that vision through natural processes and by learning to utilize all of our potential through the activity the vision naturally requires. You don’t have to “try” to be who you really are because it’s built into your nature, and you do it naturally. The only “effort” you put into “becoming” is when you’re taking on and attempting to become something you’re not. Spirit always works through Universal laws as natural processes, which proceed out of our core being in an effortless manner as a kind of “flow”. When that flow is impeded and we cut ourselves off from our true source, we begin struggling in life, and have to apply great effort in trying to create because we’re working against or contrary to the natural laws.

Everything you need to create your life as your soul’s purpose in coming here, you’re born with. It resides inside of you as a seed that grows and blossoms. We don’t ever “acquire” anything from outside us that we don’t already have. The only purpose the outside serves is to stimulate and call forth into active expression what exist within us in a latent state. What we experience as an outer world is actually a projection as an extension or continuation of our inner world and is being naturally formed by us. It doesn’t exist apart from our ability to perceive it. All stimulation comes as an interaction between complementary opposites (of the same thing), where we first act through “resonance” to form the structure of our outer world, and it then acts on us to stimulate us through the relationship formed by latent, repressed, and unknown aspects of our own internal nature. What we imagine to be outside of us as traits we don’t already possess is because they are dormant within us, or we’ve repressed them through some form of judgment, and have become hidden and unknown to us as a result.

Recognizing and Integrating Your Shadow

The other part in the initial stages of self-realization and awareness of who you really are comes by learning to recognize fragmented aspects of yourself that you have disowned and denied having, even to yourself, due to how you were judged by others, and then began judging yourself in the same manner. The most primary part of our lower nature as our subconscious-instinctual self, is the desire to be accepted as a part of a group, with the most basic one being our family unit. When we’re judged as being bad, wrong, or deficient for natural character traits that we possess and openly express, it means we’re going to be rejected, ostracized, or alienated from our family or social group, and as a result, we refuse to “express” those parts of ourselves, and keep them buried deep inside instead. When we’re shamed and made to feel guilty about what exists as a natural part of us, we usually choose to deny and disown it, and we begin hiding it, often, even to ourselves.

As we form these fragmented hidden aspects of ourselves that we refuse to express, they stay “active” within us as a frequency and continue to create by remaining a natural part of our outer environment, which is being formed as a mirror image of our subconscious. Because we denied having them and buried them deep within our subconscious, we don’t recognize them as being ours, and in their active state they still motivate “unconscious behaviors” that we naturally display without a direct awareness of what we’re doing or why. Because we’re unaware of them while they’re still active at the unconscious level, they form the basis for our complexes as unconscious patterns we continue to play out with others, and form how we judge others through the reaction they naturally cause in us.

We all have a built-in mechanism for being able to recognize and accurately identify our own repressed character traits, so that we can begin working with them in a conscious manner. Once we realize that our entire outer environment, including our perception of others, is being projected (reshaped into a correlating construct) by our subconscious mind and includes the unknown aspects that lie hidden within us, we have the tools necessary to begin reevaluating them in a way that will allow us to integrate them in a healthy and productive manner. By realizing that these same traits and behaviors form a pronounced reaction in us and cause us to “judge others” in the same way we were judged and came to judge ourselves, we can bring them into the light of our conscious mind where we can examine them in a new and more productive way. We form a reaction outwardly to what exists inwardly that we’re unaware of. All accepted and known aspects of ourselves that also form a natural part of our outer perception don’t cause a reaction, seem completely normal and uneventful, or elicit a feeling of admiration and respect.

We’re also provided with an even deeper tool that allows us to become aware of why we repressed it, because our reaction is formed out of the same “judgment” that caused us to deny the same trait in ourselves. So, by examining the nature of our reaction and the story that naturally starts playing out in our mind as our internal dialogue with ourselves provides us with the whole equation we need in order to transform it in a way that we can incorporate it through a healthy and constructive expression that matches our image of ourselves and what “kind of person” we are. The reason we deny certain aspects of ourselves is because we don’t know how to express them in a way that fits or enhances the image we’ve built of ourselves, and we refuse to express them as a result.

We must start by realizing that every character trait, no exceptions, has an appropriate means of expression that’s constructive and beneficial in nature. When we assign ideas of “good and bad” or “right and wrong” to any aspect of ourselves, we judge ourselves as being wrong or bad for having those traits and decide instead to “deny” having them. As we form denial around certain parts of ourselves, we push them to the background where we lose awareness of them, yet they remain a fundamental part of our subconscious mind and continue to actively express as a natural part of our outer reality. Due to the fact that we’ve repressed and are no longer aware of them, we don’t recognize them as being ours when we see and react to them in others.  

 Our mind literally become fragmented, and we pose one part of ourselves against another part of ourselves. The disowned parts of us become what we call our “shadow” because they reside in darkness within us, and over time we lose our ability to “see them” in ourselves while continuing to judge others who openly express the same traits and activities. As we judge, we’re making something good or bad based on how we’re looking at it and the situation it’s actively expressing in. If we looked at that same idea from a different perspective and as expressing through a different situation, or in a different way, we might see it as good and perhaps beneficial or as providing us with the means for enhancing our ability to express ourselves in the right situation. If we judge something about ourselves as being bad or wrong it’s usually showing us that we’re simply not expressing it in an appropriate manner, and it’s destructive or harmful as a result, or it doesn’t suite the image we’ve built of ourselves as a specific type and kind of person.

Imagination

There’s no such thing as a trait that’s all bad. Every trait serves a purpose and when utilized appropriately, creates in a beneficial manner. Anger for example, when formed as a reaction based on our conditioning nearly always tends to be destructive and harmful to ourselves and others, yet it can be an appropriate response to violence and injustice. Violence is an appropriate response when we’re protecting our family and loved ones from a threat of violence, and when protecting those who can’t protect themselves, or when it’s being used against us. So every aspect of ourselves becomes a beneficial tool for forming an appropriate response to correlating situations and the right circumstances. If it’s destructive and unwarranted, it’s showing us that we’re not using it appropriately, or that we’ve attached the wrong idea to it that’s limiting our ability to express it in a creative and beneficial way.

We only “fear” what we don’t understand, and out of fear comes hatred. The most natural way to overcome hatred is by looking to understand what it is we hate. We can only “love” what we understand. By taking an attitude of understanding, it allows us to look at something from an entirely different perspective and gain new awareness of it that allows us to transform hate into love. This is what the saying “love thy enemy” is trying to point out to us. All traits express through interactions and how it is we use them in relation with each other as a means of transforming them. This formula for transforming traits is laid out for us through what’s called the 7 vices and virtues, which exist as complementary opposites of each other. Each vice has its complementary virtue. If we set them apart where they’re opposing each other, and draw a line to connect them, we form a “gradient scale” between extremes of the same thing. We transform a vice by employing the complementary virtue in its place. By doing this consistently over a period of time, we build up experiences born out of virtues as an accumulative process where we steadily move from one end of the scale to the other. The object isn’t to swing from one extreme to the other, but rather find the middle point where they exist in balance and are being used as tools for creating by expanding our ability to express ourselves.    

If we want to create peace in the world, we don’t do it by launching a campaign to protest war, we do it by cultivating peace in every area of our life and relationships. We become “peace” itself as a state of mind that produces a corresponding outer reality as an “experience of ourselves” as being peaceful. We embody peace as a quality of being and we exist in harmony with everyone and everything around us. If we live in fear, and are afraid of a lot of things, we act on ourselves to transform it by consciously choosing to employ “courage” instead and walk courageously into our fears. We can start with the smaller fears that are easier to manage, because what you’ll find with relatively little practice is that most of your fears aren’t real but are more a product of your imagination allowed to run wild. Fear is only designed to prevent us from taking action, and as soon as you take action to move forward in spite of fear, it immediately subsides and goes away. Once you begin realizing this and concentrate on creating experiences of being courageous and confident, you become empowered, and can easily transform the greatest of fears. This is because they all work by way of the same principles, which operate the same way in all areas of your life.

Returning to Wholeness

The main goal of our soul required for growing and evolving ourselves to higher levels of self-awareness and creativity, and ultimately ascension, is to learn how to integrate our shadow aspects so that we become fully self-aware and whole again, where we’re able to realize that we are the one creating our own reality. As we return to a state of wholeness by blending the inner with the outer as a harmonious continuation of each other, we become “coherent”. By becoming aware of the nature and relationship of our subconscious and self-conscious mind, we can learn how to operate each aspect using universal laws which provide us with explicit instructions on how to create from a fully conscious and self-aware state. As long as we remain unconscious and create our life from a semi-unconscious state where we fail to recognize the consequences we call upon ourselves through our own actions, we remain on the lower material plane as the victim of our own creation. We’re all here to wake up within our own life, realize our power to self-create, and learn how to operate our own mind as a means of creating in an intentional and responsible manner. Each one of us is the sole creator of our own life experiences, and out of those experiences we simultaneously create ourselves.

Moral Strength – The Power of Being Willfully Directed

Strength is a virtue that’s employed as the means for subduing and bringing your lower, instinctual nature under your control so it can be utilized as a vehicle for higher forms of self-expression. It’s the moral strength and discipline you exercise by using your “will” to control your own emotions, passions, impulses, and unruly desires. It’s only by learning how to manage your own internal processes that you quit allowing yourself to be controlled and determined by others through reactive states. Strength is developed by exercising your ability to not only control your own reactions to everyone and everything else, but also through your ability to use your reactions as a means of examining your own inner nature that’s always operating just below the level of awareness as an unconscious state, and instead remain in full control of yourself.

Strength, like any idea and character trait, has multiple meanings and various applications, yet they all ultimately mean the same thing. Its being able to stand calmly amid controversy and strong emotions being expressed and willfully projected towards you without allowing them to penetrate you and take hold where you begin internalizing and expressing the same emotion. It’s developing a moral code of conduct based on an acute understanding of universal laws where you can clearly see what’s happening in any situation in terms of the energy being willfully directed in a primarily unconscious manner as the means of creating. You learn how to use your will to deflect the emotions and attitude being projected towards you and not allowing them to enter your body and mind where you go unconscious and begin reacting. Anytime you’re reacting, you’re being controlled by whatever it is that you’re reacting to by becoming “like it” in nature.

Every action causes an equal or greater reaction, and the reaction becomes the causal force for intensifying, multiplying, and increasing the shared emotion. Any action we take is creative in nature, and draws direct consequences based on what it causes and sets into motion. Anytime we let another person’s behavior “get to us”, and we take on the same attitude and demeanor, we shift and become “like them” in nature. Our entire mental state changes to match theirs and we not only express the same emotions, but we develop the same character traits. This is how our character is developed in a primarily unconscious manner. The energy being projected towards us or that’s actively being expressed around and near us acts to “stimulate” us, changing our state to match theirs, “bringing out in us” the same qualities and characteristics, where we use them to express ourselves and create experiences of “being that way”. As we create our own experiences based on how we’re being and acting, we “sense ourselves” through those experiences and associate with them as a result. When we’re consistently stimulated by the same type of emotion bringing out in us their correlating characteristics, we produce more and more of the same type of experiences of ourselves, and we accumulate the memory that results, which builds up over time, making those characteristics dominant in us. Whatever we actively express over time, we identify with and use to develop our character.

Emotions, Characteristics, and Dynamics

What you want to allow yourself to notice through self-observation of your own internal processes, is that “emotions” are natural forces that operate as “instinct” on the material plane of the subconscious mind. Emotion is an electrical charge that’s freely transmitted through the atmosphere by living beings and is felt internally as a particular type of sensation that’s designed to activate and bring to the forefront the characteristics necessary to respond in an automatic and appropriate way. As we act to unconsciously receive an emotional force, it immediately alters our “state”, both mentally and physically, and causes us to behave in ways that don’t require a thought process or decision. This is what instinct is. It’s an automated form of consciousness that operates through the unconscious mind to produce correlated behaviors of a group or by being of the same consciousness (energetic state) as your environment. It operates to produce the mindset equivalent to the emotion where we react in a spontaneous way without being directly aware of what we’re doing.

While this process is designed to work through the subconscious, which is the instinctual mind shared by all of Nature, as humans, we are bestowed with a conscious mind capable of thinking, analyzing, reasoning, discriminating, and making our own decisions about what to do and how to respond to whatever situation we find ourselves in. When emotion is freely transmitted and received, and we take them on without a direct awareness of what’s happening, it not only compels an instant reaction designed only for that moment in time, but it’s harbored long afterwards, where we nurture and maintain them by continuing to think about them and we build whole imaginary realities out of them that “seem real”. Whatever we imagine as an internal reality that’s emotionally charged, acts to regulate our state of mind out of which we create in a corresponding manner.

Higher self

Animals don’t have the conscious aspect of the mind and don’t have the ability to think in terms of pictures that construct whole inner realities that don’t really exist, only humans have this ability. With animals, once the danger or threat is no longer present, they immediately discharge and release the emotion and go back to their normal state and activity, whereas humans don’t seem to know to release the emotion and continue to think about it long afterwards keeping it alive inside of them as a possible reality that they continue to live out of as if its still present and real. They don’t act to multiply and increase it by internally generating it as a natural response to their own thoughts, sustaining and transmitting it to others and their environment. We use the emotion as the basis for creating our reality and for developing our character by way of that reality as a correlation.

Through self-observation you can easily realize how these invisible forces operate through the atmosphere around you. Many people live consumed with emotions and are always creating their reality out of the emotional states they maintain consistently, while shaping their character from a predominately unconscious state as a “delusion”. Through close examination of how your own mind-body system works to generate your reality, you can begin forming an awareness around it. This is important to do, because we can only work with what we’re aware of and “understand” in the practice sense. Understanding is necessary in order to consciously direct unconscious processes. Allow yourself to recognize that there are two basic ways emotions operate within us, and how emotion is always married to thought.

Brain waves

Sit quietly, calm your mind through rhythmic breathing, subdue and set to the side all the impulsive, anxious, and habitual thoughts that run automatically, and form a sense of deepened inner awareness. Once you’ve formed a clear state of mind, choose something to focus on. As you focus your attention on it allow your thoughts about it to form naturally. As you begin thinking about it notice that you steadily develop it into a picture, concept, or scenario in your mind by shaping it with “sensory details”. The more detailed you make it, the more vivid and alive it becomes, and you begin feeling the sensations of it throughout your body (torso). The more sensationalized it becomes the more you start forming an emotional response to it. An emotion begins culminating in response to it, and it comes alive with activity and animated with the behavior natural to the idea. The emotion becomes the life-force that motivates the behaviors and activities it takes on as it starts playing out in your mind as a possible experience of “reality”. The thought-form created not only produces a correlating emotion that’s ideally suited for expressing it, but also forms natural behaviors that are formed out of specific characteristics. As these two combine into a single idea, they come alive and form into a reality as a possibility for experiencing as an outer reality of the same kind and type.

Through this process, initiated by a decision in what to focus on and think about, we “act on ourselves” to activate certain parts of our character and use them to form our natural behaviors and how we’re “being”, and those qualities and characteristics are what express to produce an equivalent “experience” of our “self” as our own creation. As we think we’re constantly acting on ourselves to create the outer reality of our thoughts as a way of experiencing them. As we form ideas into pictures while imbuing them with sensation, we’re literally giving our subconscious a directive as a thematic pattern for using to organize and construct an equivalent outer reality of the same kind as a means of producing our own experiences. As we mentally construct and call forth our own experiences, we relate and associate with them, and build our “identity” out of them as a result.

Reverse the process – now let’s do the same process of self-observation in the reverse role where we act to receive the emotions being expressed by others. This may be difficult to do at first while in a live situation, due to the fact that it usually happens in an automatic fashion and renders us temporarily unconscious, but we can use a memory to achieve the same objective. Once we’re able to form a clear understanding of how this “automated process” works, we can begin using it in live situations as a means of disciplining ourselves and exercising self-control. Once we can refrain from going into a reaction, we can use it as a means of introspection and begin forming a heightened sense of self-awareness.

Again, sit quietly, calm your mind and clear your thoughts by pushing them to the background, and pick a memory of an event where a fairly intense emotional exchange occurred. Focus on how it began, noticing what state you were in before being triggered, and then the behavior displayed by the other person that acted to produce a pronounced stimulus in your body. As you’re being stimulated by it, notice where in your body it’s the strongest, and how it makes you feel as a result. Notice that it acts to instantly change your entire state of mind and physiology. As it “enters you”, notice that as it takes hold it becomes prominent and causes you to go semi-unconscious where you become lost in the reality of the feeling and can’t seem to direct your own thoughts. As it consumes you, notice that you immediately associate it to an existing memory that made you feel the same way, and you use that memory to interpret the present to be about the same thing as the past, and you not only go into a whole story about what’s happening, but also behave in the same way you did in the past. As you act in an automatic way, you create the same type of experience, and set the same idea in motion. When this happens, you forfeit your conscious mind and reside almost completely in your unconscious mind of instinct, where the outside stimulus is controlling and directing your activities and what kind of reality you create in your imagination.

In both of these processes, allow yourself to notice that what you think about and the emotions that are equivalent to those thoughts act together to activate and bring out qualities and characteristics in you that form the behaviors that result from them. As you think and feel, you stimulate yourself bringing forth certain aspects of your character and use them as the means of creating your experiences. As you form your own experiences, notice how it is that  you shape yourself by way of those experiences. We develop ourselves by consistently employing certain parts of our character as qualities that form consistent type of experiences and natural behaviors. Whatever characteristics we utilize in each situation are developed through the dynamic that ensues out of them. Certain qualities play out in certain dynamics as behavioral patterns that not only strengthen those traits, but also condition us to the dynamics as a certain way of being that acts naturally to express as a correlated myth or story. We’re always acting on ourselves to create ourselves through how we tell a particular type of story by becoming the main character and author of that story. Allow yourself to notice that there’s always “one part of you” talking to “another part of you” and telling a story by how you explain, describe, or justify things.

Passion and Desire

This same idea plays out through our passions and desires, which come as emotions that stimulate our primal, instinctual nature, producing a strong desire as a magnetic force. Our passion comes as a strong emotion or magnetic feeling regarding something that makes it very compelling and attractive. Desire comes as “wanting”, wishing, longing, and craving. These are the primal instincts that form the basis for “temptation”, and often pose our conscious willful mind in direct opposition with our subconscious emotional mind. In this situation, where complementary aspects of ourselves become adversaries, emotion usually wins, because of their motive power in producing a strong physiological effect. On the lower material plane and in relation to our animal body, emotion is equivalent to “will” on the higher planes of the conscious and creative mind. When we let our emotions run us and we make all our decisions out of them, we utilize our higher will to fulfill physical desires and physical pleasures of some kind, and create ourselves out of our instinctual, primal nature, fashioning ourselves to be equivalent to animals. This doesn’t mean that our lower nature is bad or something we should shun and reject, but rather a part of ourselves that we need to subdue, tame, and bring under the presidency of our higher will so it can be used as a vehicle for consciously creating in the physical world.

By choosing and intentionally using our rational, reasoning mind as the basis for directing all our actions, we can bring our emotional nature under the control of our higher will, where it can be utilized to enhance our ability to express ourselves, and as a means of imposing a direct influence over others and the situation at hand. But to do this we have to bring our own emotions under control by learning how to deflect the ones being transmitted by others instead of absorbing them, while using thought in an intentional way to generate desired emotions. To do this, we not only form a working concept of how emotions as natural forces are transmitted and received, but also by using a visualization process to shield ourselves and deflect them instead. All energy can be directed and utilized through mental means. Mental operations are conducted using the creative faculty of the imagination to form internal (invisible) concepts that function and operate in specific ways. In the same way emotion as energy is invisible and can’t be seen, while producing a pronounced physical effect that sets a whole process in motion, a shield can be produced on the invisible realm of thought that can work to intentionally direct the flow of energy.

We can do this by first realizing that we all have an invisible field of energy that surrounds, permeates, and envelops our body, that’s like an egg or spherical shape. Some call this the aura which appears on the inner planes as a cloud-like essence vitalized with colors, which is being emanated by the “mind”. The mind itself is an invisible field of energy that can be pictured as a glass sphere that we look through as a means of shaping our outer world. We can visualize this etheric egg shaped field as being made of a crystalline substance, similar to glass, where any energy directed onto it from an outside source, instead of penetrating and blending into it, is reflected off the surface like a mirror and sent back to the person projecting it.

What we call “light” is basically invisible and only becomes illuminated when reflected off the surface of a material substance of some kind. Colors are contained within the clear light as its hidden, inner nature, and become fragmented when they come into contact with a material (solid) object, where some of the qualities (frequencies) are absorbed and integrated as the inner state of the object, while others are reflected into the space around it, forming it’s “outer appearance”. Whatever color an object appears as is formed by the rays its reflecting off the surface, which are complementary to the ones absorbed and integrated to form the objects inner nature as its energetic state. This is a metaphor for the fact that whatever energy we act to unknowingly absorb, we integrate into our inner nature, allowing it to determine our state of being to match the frequency, and whatever we reflect forms how we appear to others as a mirror image of themselves. Whatever constitutes our inner nature determines what we attract outwardly as our complementary opposite. This will become easier to understand through practice where you’ll come to realize that when you maintain a state of inner calm around someone expressing strong emotions, you act to neutralize them, allowing the person to realize them as their own and see them in a different light as a result.

Picture the energy field of your mind-aura as a solid outer shield that’s crystallized glass, while telling yourself (setting the intention) that any energy being projected by others can’t penetrate your sphere, and instead spreads out on the surface, much like a movie being projected onto a screen, where it doesn’t affect you, but you can still watch the movie its impregnated with as it plays out in a distant and neutral fashion. This allows you to understand what the person is feeling without combining with them mentally and reshaping them on the inner planes of your mind to be “like you”. As you act to reflect their own story back to them in a neutral fashion, they get to see it in a different way, and gain new insights as a result. Practice doing this as a mental concept and visualization until it becomes intuitive, where you do it naturally. If you allow their emotional energy to penetrate you, where you feel it as a stimulation in your body, become aware of it, and mentally push it back out until its resides completely outside of your energy field, and then reseal it, telling yourself it can no longer penetrate it, and refocus your attention on managing your internal state returning it to a peaceful calm.

Subduing Your own Lower Nature

Subduing your lower nature and bringing it under the command of your conscious mind is accomplished by forming a practical understanding of the universal laws of the mind that forms an awareness of what you’re actually doing when impulses naturally occur. When you remain unaware of what’s happening energetically between you and what’s around you, you willingly engage in a participatory manner with whatever activities and behaviors are being openly displayed by others. Whatever we blend with mentally, emotionally, or physically, we become like in nature. Our morality is formed through the activities of our mind in terms of how it is we present ideas to ourselves internally. When we give into our primal urges and emotional reactions, we allow our lower nature to take control of our thoughts and higher will, and we create ourselves to be like others and of an animal nature. We create from an unconscious or semi-unconscious state without being aware of the consequences that result from it.

Once we’re able to understand what’s happening in terms of the natural interaction that takes place between our thoughts and emotions as our conscious and subconscious mind, and we’re able to use our conscious thoughts to direct and utilize our emotions as a means of expressing ourselves, we’re able to use our physical body as an instrument for creating in a willful and self-aware manner. When we cultivate the ability to not be affected by other people’s emotions and instead learn how to internally generate them as the motivating force that gives life to our thoughts, we can begin creating ourselves from a primarily conscious state and in a much more intentional and precise manner. Moral strength comes as our ability to discipline ourselves in emotionally intense situations or where we’re tempted somehow with our own weaknesses to give in and compromise our own integrity. We exercise it in remaining calm and focused, where we can make conscious decisions through a realization of the consequences they’ll render and then initiate and direct the activities that will produce the reality of our decisions.

Karma – Beyond the Veil of Negative Existence and the Process of Rebirth

What’s portrayed in Esoteric texts as the “Veil of Negative Existence” can be a very elusive idea because it deals with another realm of life on a higher plane of existence that’s hidden and unknown to us while living in this realm. Yet, like all things of a spiritual (invisible) nature, it can be comprehended and therefore understood in the practical sense through an understanding of universal laws and archetypal principles, which provide us with the means to work with it in an intuitive and intelligent manner. There are a multitude of interpretations on the nature and purpose of Karma and the “life after death experience” that are clearly based on a belief and hopeful thinking that often seem to render the process of living and dying to be meaningless in the most basic sense and was clearly born out of whatever belief, fear or insecurity in the unknown was motivating it.

I’ve also heard accounts described by those who worked through hypnotic regression, not only in tuning into the memory of past lives, but also the process that occurs between lives that’s presented as a “planning stage” where we supposedly “choose” the conditions and souls of our next incarnation in terms of what lessons we want to learn and what type of life experiences we need to go through in order to grow ourselves in a specific way. While I don’t care to comment on those in terms of a psychological evaluation of the methods used (I’m very experienced in hypnosis and past life regression), which in many cases were obviously flawed and the results obtained therefore equally flawed, I will break it down into scientific terms which will not only bring an understanding of what happens in the afterlife, but more importantly, provide clear instruction on how to work with your own soul’s evolution while living in this realm.

Healing Power

Behind the Veil of Negative Existence

The hidden aspect of our own higher nature is symbolized by a semi-transparent veil that hangs between two pillars, known as Jakin and Boaz (masculine and feminine aspects of our mind), and symbolizes the basis of “reality” (vibration that organizes essence into a living model) as being of both a conscious and unconscious nature. This same idea is also symbolized by an equal armed cross as two sides of reality that are both of an upper and lower plane (vertical) and an inner and outer one (horizontal), that exist as reflections of each other. Symbolically speaking a straight line nearly always represents a “plane of existence”. A line is commonly used to represent the connection of complementary opposites which are aspects of the same thing. While we tend to think of this as our subconscious and self-conscious mind on the material plane, this same principle also operates between what we can think of as parallel planes where our higher consciousness exists on a higher plane and serves to reflect the reality of the lower plane of material existence through what’s known in esoteric sciences as the “etheric body” or etheric-double. The etheric double forms what can be thought of as a “holographic blueprint” for constructing, animating, and sustaining the lower plane of material formation.

What’s referred to symbolically as the “Ancient of Days”, represented as an mature bearded man sitting on a throne, is the “Primordial Spark” (electrical charge) as the Monad (cosmic mind), which is the seed that contains within it all the other universal principles and emanates them in succession. This Fatherly figure is always shown as a face (countenance) in profile as the “right side”, while the left side remains hidden. What this represents is “symmetry” as a mirror image that operates as the fundamental principle of polarity, and the algebraic system, which basically states that you can know the unknown aspects of anything based on how it exists in relationship with the known factors. We can “know” what the left side of the face looks like because it’s a mirror image (reverse) of the right side. Polar aspects of the same whole are represented by the left and right sides of the body, which are complementary opposites of each other and directly reflect each other as a reverse (mirror) image. So, while we can say that the left side is hidden, and therefore unknown and mysterious, we can also say the right side is the outward reflection of the left side, and that by knowing the right we can also know the left. Polar opposites are always mirror images of each other, not only as an “inner and outer”, but also as an upper and lower in terms of moving between parallel planes that are different aspects of a greater whole (multitude of interlaced planes) that exists in a “coherent state” being looked at and experienced from different levels and perspectives.

The concept as a working model for understanding how something functions as two pillars set apart from each other with a veil or sheer curtain hung between them, can easily be thought of as the basis for vibration as the movement of energy between 2 aspects of the same thing that are polarized to each other as complementary opposites. The veil represents the “light essence” as a phosphene-like structure that forms between them due to the friction generated. So, we have a positive pole and a negative pole, one is electric and expanding, the other magnetic and receptive. These poles have been produced by the division and regeneration of the Monad, and each one contains both aspects within them, which alternate between an active and passive state. The electromagnetic pulsation between two poles that are complementary aspects of the same thing creates the illusion of “dimension” (light body) as a space-time continuum, and becomes a semi-closed system that’s self-generating, self-perpetuating, and self-sustaining. We can know what’s on the hidden side of the veil because it’s a symmetrical aspect of what’s on the outward side. There’s no difference between them because they’re the expansion and activity of the same thing, born out of the same “seed” of potential. If we were to pull the curtain aside and walk through it, it would be a continuation of the same reality on the “other side”.

This same principle is carried through in every single aspect of what exists as a greater whole, not only within the lower plane of manifestation in the linear sense, but also within the hierarchical planes of pure mind, consciousness, and the soul. The Monad, which exists on what we can call the highest plane or level of manifestation in it’s purely potential and unformed state, is what we can think of as the “seed” that contains all the information as memory within it for growing a living reality on the lower planes. An easy way to think of “negative existence” as the hidden realm behind the veil of conscious awareness, is to think of a “seed”. Hidden within the seed is all the memory in a dormant state that contains the potential of that living organism within it. The seed of a tree, for example, contains all the information necessary for growing the tree along with its life span as an allotted amount of life-force. The seed contains its genetic and spiritual (energetic) make-up, which, when planted, grows and matures through natural stages of development by consistently activating and actualizing “latent potential” until it becomes a fully mature tree with a designated life-span. This is the same principle that operates in all life-forms as what we call “Divine Providence”, as a master plan or blueprint for the entire lifetime of an organism.

This same principle naturally operates through what we experience as our subconscious and conscious mind, which function harmoniously to produce an inner and outer awareness of a greater whole in which both aspects are complementary to each other. Our subconscious functions in an unconscious and automatic manner, which means we lack direct awareness of it, and is what we call our “hidden nature”. This aspect of our material mind is what forms our whole outer reality as an energetic matrix or substrata of dynamic tension, that we then view with our conscious mind as awareness of the outer world, can be thought of as the unknown aspect of our “self” that exists behind the veil. It can’t be seen and therefore known in the direct sense, but it can be felt as a fundamental part of our emotions, feelings, and intuition. While we may not recognize the elements and activities of our outer world as revealing the hidden aspects of our subconscious, we still form a pronounced reaction to them, and through our reaction, think about them and form them into realities in our mind.

We can come to recognize our own hidden nature by realizing that it forms the fundamental structure of our outer reality as a mirror image. The reason we notice certain things outside of us and form a reaction to them is because of how and what they’re stimulating inside of us. The reason you’re being stimulated by it is because you have a complementary correspondence of it in its latent (inactive) state which acts as an “energetic receptor” for it. Once the latent aspect within is brought into an active state as an equivalent vibration, together, they work on each other to form a single reality within the imagination that connects and unites the inner and outer as a single idea or thematic pattern. Things that have been fully integrated into our make-up are no longer unknown aspects and appear ordinary and natural to us. Once we realize that the outer is a mirror image of the inner, we can use this as the means of being able to see into our own psychological make-up and work on our self to bring awareness around fragmented and repressed aspects of our self that remain hidden within us, and we can work through this awareness to facilitate our own spiritual healing.

Karma as the Seed for Life

What we refer to as karma can be understood in the most basic sense as the Law of Cause and Effect, which comes as an interaction between complementary opposites of the same pattern as a dynamic. Every action and behavior, whether we’re aware of it or not, causes an equal or greater reaction of the same kind and type. The effect always contains and expresses the essence of the cause. A law means there are no exceptions to this rule because it forms the very basis of reality itself as “vibration”, which comes as the interaction of opposite aspects of the same idea working together to create a coherent pattern. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad, constructive or destructive, whatever we think and do creates the very structure and activity of our outer reality. Our entire reality, which is formed through our perception of it, is something we’re always creating with our mind, not as fragmented aspects of intention, attitude, emotional state, preferences, beliefs, and so on, but through how all aspects work together in forming a single whole which provides us with the means for “experiencing ourselves”.

We are always the one creating our life, not so much in the objective sense of a neutral reality that exists apart from us, out there, but in the subjective sense of “out there” and “in here” being the same thing as a mirror image of each other. What we find as we move up the hierarchical planes of existence is that the lower is a reflection of the higher as the reality grown from our karmic seed of accumulated memory built up over time through several life-times. While we live our life from the perception of being separate from everything else while in material form, as we move up the planes into what you might call our Primordial Consciousness, we become “one with life” as reality itself in a single form. On this level there is no one else but us. There are no committees, no different rooms as different categories where a planning process takes place and we make decisions for our next life based on an awareness of only fragmented parts of ourselves – but where we are “programmed with” the memory we formed of our own creation of our “self” as a “whole reality” and type of experience.

As we express energetically, we perceive our self as a greater whole that sets the stage for us to create our self as a particular type of person. As we create our reality as an interaction with ourselves in another, we associate with our own projections, building our “sense of self” out of them as our “identity”. Our identity is “who we are” based on how we shape our self through our own creation and is what forms the memory of our self that becomes the programming as a frequency for the seed of our next incarnation. The seed of our karma is the “I” (I Am) of our higher soul formed out of the memory we created of ourselves. It’s what forms the “I” of the Tetragrammaton (4 letter name of God – IHVH), which is represented by the triangle formed by drawing lines that connect the two physical eyes and the third eye, located in the center of the forehead. Our third eye is a “single eye” formed by uniting the two physical into a single reality. The “H” is the regeneration of the “I”, formed by connecting two I’s at the center, forming a new letter as One comprised of dual parts that exist in harmony as mirror images of each other. The third letter, “V” is the straight line divided and spread apart creating dimension as an inverted triangle where polar opposites interact to form a single reality as a material formation. This is also symbolized as a cup or chalice that becomes the light-body as a shell for spirit to inhabit and express through as a living being. The material reality only serves as the vessel or vehicle for the spirit-soul to have it’s being in order to experience Itself. The final “H” is the manifestation of the first one on the lower arc of the material plane as a mirror image or complementary opposite of the seed formed on the higher plane of pure potential. What existed in a latent and potential state on the higher plane of pure mind, has now manifested in form on the lower material plane as a mirror image.

Thought Transference

7 Parallel Planes of Existence

What’s referred to as “planes of existence” form a hierarchical structure as a kind of gradient or “scale of vibration” that moves between a positive and negative pole of the same thing. This idea can be conceptualized as a musical scale comprised of 7 notes that make up an octave, where the lower note “builds” as a progression until it reaches its fullness as an amplification, forming the 7th note as the culmination of that level. Once it reaches an exalted level within that scale, it functions through what’s called the “threshold effect”, where it moves into the next higher octave as the lowest, base note of that scale. It forms the same note on a higher plane (frequency) and begins the same progression again on a higher level. This scale of 7 planes is beautifully illustrated in the Qabalah Tree of Life as “states” of consciousness that naturally perform particular functions as an essential part of a greater whole.

These 7 levels are formed out of Triads that are reflections of each other where 2 levels also form a single level as polar opposites that form a coherent whole on either a higher or lower arc of the same plane. The Triad that represents a single level symbolizes the process of “division and unification”, where the “One” divides into complementary aspects of Itself, where one interacts with the other to form a single 3-dimensional reality. When these levels are broken down into Triads formed out of a pair of opposites, we get 3 levels that are all formed as Triads, and manifest in the 4th level of the Quaternary as a single reality. This shows the constant process of the mind separating from itself to form dual aspects as counterparts and then reuniting them back into a single idea, where we then divide again as the means of either descending or ascending through the same scale from a higher vibration that’s all-inclusive to a lower one that’s singular in nature.  

This same principle as a concept can be used in understanding the function of our “3 eyes”, one of which is internal, single, and hidden, and 2 of which are external and used to perceive the outer world of manifestation. When we place this same triangle over our forehead with the horizontal base line connecting our two physical eyes, and the higher single point forming our 3rd eye in the center of our forehead, we can gain a working concept of how we “receive” communication from the higher, subtle planes of coalesced essence. An idea from the higher plane comes as a “whole idea” in its potential state (seed for reality) that’s planted in our subconscious as pictures and symbols that are grown internally into possibilities for producing as outer realities that provide us with particular types of experience. All communication from our higher self originates on a higher level that’s unified and comes in “seed form” as an archetype that’s grown within our own subconscious by integrating it naturally into our existing reality through a process of adaptation.

Concepts

We conceive of an archetypal idea as an image that’s reflected in our mind’s eye, and as we focus on and begin thinking about it, it unfolds and begins taking shape by synthesizing it into our mental paradigm which serves to define and modify into a correspondence. As a symbolic representation of a universal idea, it can be used to create numerous variations of the same basic concept, and once built into our paradigm, becomes a natural part of our everyday reality as our perception. It’s conceived as an “archetype” (metaphor and theme) that’s energetic in nature and represents a general concept for producing a particular type of experience based how it’s combined with other elements where it acts as the “organizing principle” that follows a general “theme”. It’s not given to us as a fixed idea that’s already formed but acts more like a “suggestion” that’s interjected into our subconscious that we then use as the means for building equivalent ideas as an outer experience. We create our experiences of any situation or circumstance by how we build them into our story as an interpretation, which is formed out of a theme.

This can be easily understood by realizing that “anger”, which is a quality of being as a vibratory frequency not only displays all the physical attributes and appearance of “being angry”, and acting angry, but also acts to stimulate and infuse everything around it into the same energetic state, forming the larger pattern of activity. A person being outwardly angry causes everyone around them to become angry or scared and together they create a shared experience born out of anger. While we tend to think of life in separative terms of self and another, where we only play one role in acting out a greater pattern as a co-creation, the fact is we’re acting to facilitate the whole pattern as a behavioral dynamic where we can, and do, play every role necessary to produce the experience that pattern renders.

For example, a person who was physically abused as a child, and initially experiences being a helpless victim of the abuse, isn’t just being imprinted with that role in the pattern, but is imprinted with the pattern itself. While they may relate to the child’s role as a child, as they grow older, will begin moving into the adult role in that same pattern and will have a tendency to become the one doing the abusing. A child who’s abused at home, where they’re clearly the victim, will develop a tendency to lash out in a similar manner within their own peer group and start fights, bully others, and pick on those who can’t or won’t fight back. In one situation they’re the victim, and in another they’re the one victimizing another in the same way through the “same tendency” played out from both ends, producing the same type of experience.

This is the way karma works. It’s not produced from a fragmented, one-sided perspective within a whole, but as a natural tendency that acts out every role in that same pattern under different circumstances. So when we say that a child is physically abused as their “karma” carried forward from their previous life, it’s not referring to them getting back what they deserve and put forward necessarily, but as experiencing the same pattern as a behavioral dynamic from different perspectives and roles within that same “pattern”. If they’re not the one being abused, they’re the one instigating it or doing it to another. They continue to unknowingly display the same behaviors that led to them being abused that serve to provoke others to abuse them in the same way. We’re often fooled by our own tendencies, because when we do the same “behavior” as an action towards another, we make it out to be different through the reason’s we have for doing it that justify it as being right and appropriate. This is what it means to act out the same idea from different perspectives. When I’m giving it out, I’m telling myself a story about why I’m doing it that makes it seem different than when I’m on the receiving end of the same action and behavior. As a result, I can’t see how it is that I’m “getting back what I put out”, or how others are doing the same thing to me that I’m also doing to them.

The reason we have for doing it may be different, but the action itself is the same, and forms a “cause and effect” relationship. All our actions cause an equivalent reaction in others, and the reaction we produce that’s mirrored back to us, stimulates us with the same reaction, amplifying it, and a back-and-forth movement ensues that creates the same type of experience over and over in different situations and with different people. As we create experiences through our actions and how we interact with others, we simultaneously create our “self” by how we identify with our own experiences. We create our experiences by how we interpret the events and activities of our life as a story we’re always telling ourselves about things, and we identify with our own story. As we create our experiences, we accumulate them as memories of our self that are built up over time as various aspects of the same overall idea. We create and build up memories throughout our lifetime as an accumulative process that forms our inner nature as our personality and character, and this same inner nature is carried forward into the next incarnation as our predisposition and temperament. One life is the continuation of the previous life, where we experience our own creation from a different perspective and through a new life situation.

Once we realize how this fundamental principle works, as a continuous process of first separating our inner from the outer, and then bringing it back into a unified state by how we interpret it to form an experience, we can use it as the means of being able to recognize and understand our own hidden nature. We can realize that the outer is providing us with a mirror into our own repressed and hidden nature. It’s showing us how it is that we’ve judged ourselves, denying and hiding parts of ourselves, and as a result, are judging and reacting to others in the same way. There’s a veil drawn between the inner and outer that prevents us from seeing what’s hidden deep inside of us, but we can come to recognize it by how it appears outside of us as our own projection. When we refrain from reacting and instead turn our attention inward to self-reflect on that same quality within us, we can follow it back to its root cause through a chain of associated memories. Once we can tune into the originating experience, we can then detach from our own judgments and view it instead from a rational state of reasoning. Once we connect the inner with the outer in a congruent and harmonious manner, we unify that aspect of ourselves hidden within our subconscious and no longer form a pronounced reaction to it or need to act it out from an unconscious state of denial. We can find a healthy and appropriate means of expressing it and as a result, integrate it through awareness where it no longer provokes us into an unconscious state as a reaction.

This same idea operates on the inner planes as a semi-closed circuit that moves between opposite poles of what seems like an inner and outer reality, that are actually a continuation of each other. We form an idea on the inner planes of our mind that serve as a metaphor for creating as an outer reality of the same idea, and we blend them back together as an experience, by using one as the means for interpreting the other so they tell the same story. The experience produced as a story is then absorbed and integrated as a memory which becomes a natural part of both the seed and the reality inherent in the seed. As we produce experiences they’re synthesized into an archetypal matrix as a single idea where it becomes the seed for generating more experiences of the same kind. A closed circuit is formed as a pulsation that continuously moves from the inner to the outer and from the upper to lower as a rhythmic cycle. We work with a cycle of creation by producing new variations that imbue it with new attributes and characteristics that changes how it expresses and the story it serves to tell as a modification. This process of evolution is greatly facilitated as a kind of “quickening” through the awareness that the inner and outer are direct reflections of each other, with one being a metaphor for constructing the other.

Once we become aware of our own fragmented parts by reuniting them into a coherent perception of ourselves, they no longer appear outside of us as the “lessons” we need to learn, and we resolve the patterns of our karma. Once we realize we’re the one creating our “self” as a reality, we can resume full responsibility for our own creation. We can mend the fragmented aspects of our mind born out of trauma of some kind and regain awareness of who we really are and our ability to create ourselves through our perception of reality. By returning separate aspects of our “self” back into a harmonious whole through a conscious awareness of them, we no longer create out of an unconscious state as the habitual tendencies born out of our formative conditioning, and we transcend this plane altogether, moving on to a new level of consciousness where we create ourselves and our reality in a self-aware and intentional manner. It’s our destiny as humans to exercise our creative abilities to a proficient level where we can stay fully awake and aware of our own creations and create ourselves in a more expressive and purposeful manner.

The Nature of our “Self” as our State of Mind, and how we Create our Reality

As humans, we’re always locked into a very fundamental paradox due to the fact that we have what you might think of as two different natures or aspects of ourselves, which, when left to operate in a purely unconscious and natural way, tend to contrast and seemingly contradict each other. This paradoxical concept exists as what we call our “dual nature” which is actually the interaction between complementary opposites known as our subconscious and conscious mind, the right and left hemispheres of our brain, our emotions and intellect, and our lower and higher self. While we tend to think of these as being separate from one another due to the fact that they each perform distinctly different functions in producing a greater whole, the truth is they are actually singular in nature. They’re not “unified” in the sense of integrating two or more aspects, but exist as a “single mind and organism” that function as a “coherent state” and work harmoniously together in forming a greater whole.

While we tend to think that there’s such a thing as an inner world of thought and feeling, and an outer world that’s abstract and objective, if we care to look at it from a neutral and detached perspective, what we come to realize by observing the activities of our own mind is that they are always correlated as a direct reflection of each other. This is because it’s actually our mind as a “mental state” (energetic frequency) that’s producing, animating, and maintaining both. What’s commonly referred to in Esoteric Sciences as “illusions of reality” (maya) that form our personal delusions and keep us locked into a false reality of our own making, comes through a fundamental lack of self-awareness in the most basic sense of forming a belief that we’re separate from the very reality being projected by us. We live and shape ourselves within our own creation, usually without ever realizing it. We can often feel as if we’re a victim in our own life, helpless to change the circumstances that cause our own pain and suffering, without ever seeming to realize that what we perceive as being outside of us is actually being constructed and held in place by our own thoughts made real through an experience of them. The bridge that connects the inner with the outer comes by how we use both aspects of our mind as a means of “experiencing” ourselves.

Our Inner Stargate to Parallel Dimensions

Many form false concepts around the idea that the way to move into and through different dimensions is to find a portal or stargate as a physical location on the Earth, instead of grasping the fact that we all come equipped with an “inner stargate”. Then when people get to these seemingly “magical doorways” of the Earth’s electromagnetic grid, they appear as a solid wall of stone, or open into plain air and don’t seem to go anywhere. But instead of realizing what it’s showing us in terms of the true nature of inter-dimensional travel, we feel confused and dismayed, and go back to formulating another approach, while the answer to the greatest mystery of all lies “within us”. When we look within for the answers, we tend grab onto ideas like the pineal gland, associated with the third-eye of the subtle body, another physical mechanism, and glorify it instead of comprehending that the pineal, along with all the other endocrine glands and parts of the body, are all being “operated” by the “mind”. The most basic function of the Pineal gland is in forming our “mood”, which is the same thing as our state of mind.

What we have come to call the “mind” and “soul” are actually referring to the same thing and are multidimensional in nature, which means they “exist” and function as a “coherent being” on multiple planes all at once. This is the reason why our means of moving between what we perceive as being different dimensions as a place and location in space, is by learning how to operate and intelligently utilize our own mind. As we move into different dimensions through our ability to perceive them (which is what reality is), we don’t “go” anywhere. All of what we perceive to be different dimensions are interlaced within and permeate the same “space”. What we refer to as a dimension isn’t necessarily a location as a different material plane, it’s an “altered state” that tunes us into a different type of reality that brings us a particular type of “experience”. You can form the basis for understanding this by simply looking at the different aspects of your own life as various forms of “dream states” that occur naturally through alternating states of mind.

Different Mental States produce Different Realities

A basic shift in “reality” naturally occurs at night when you go to sleep by subduing and turning off your conscious, self-aware, thinking mind, where only your subconscious is still fully operating. In our nightly dreams, where our body not only doesn’t go anywhere, but also doesn’t move very much, we still form whole realities that are often quite emotionally intense in terms of the type of experiences created. Our night-time dreams which are formed out of our subconscious are somewhat different and much more symbolic than we experience in our waking state when our conscious mind becomes dominant and we shift from a purely inner awareness to a predominantly outer awareness. Our subconscious doesn’t shut off when we wake up and our conscious mind takes over, it’s still at work in shaping our reality in the same way that it continues to operate all of our bodily and automated biological functions. The only difference is our mental state changes, and our awareness shifts from an inward to an outward perspective. Our brain waves are in a Delta-Theta state (0-8 Hz.) when sleeping, and upon waking, shift into an Alpha-Beta state (8-40 Hz.), and the type of reality produced through purely mental means changes quite drastically as a result. The reality created in our nightly dreams is a symbolic representation of our waking reality (dream), and are often how we express emotions that we couldn’t find an appropriate way of expressing in our waking life.

This same idea can be readily observed through any kind of meditative state, while concentrating in a single-minded fashion, or daydreaming by being lost within your own imaginary thoughts. Anytime you alter your state of mind, your body is actively altered also, and you enter into a different type of reality that exists simultaneously within this one. It’s as if you simply “tune into” a different frequency, and in that frequency a whole different reality proliferates out of it in a completely natural way. You’re not consciously making it up, all you do is focus your attention on an idea or way of being, and your mind projects the reality of that idea as an experience of it. You can experience it as either watching it from a dissociated perspective, or as being associated within it as a part of it. When you change states from a deep meditation back into your normal alert state, it’s very similar to waking up from a dream where the reality begins to fade away and becomes more of a vague impression that’s somewhat elusive and fleeting. When concentrating deeply on an idea, that idea serves as the tuning mechanism for entering into an altered reality. We step into an idea, which is a form of magnetic current, and we enter into a parallel dimension that coexists within this one. We go into a whole different thought process that forms an imaginary reality that’s superimposed over our existing reality and brings us new insights and realizations. As we we return to our normal waking state of outer awareness, the realizations gained through entering into a parallel reality become distant, somewhat impressionistic, and begin to fade in an out.

This is one of the true powers of metaphor and symbolic ideas. When we concentrate on a metaphorical idea it acts like a tuning device for moving between dimensions that are all coalesced within one another. The gods and deities of mythology provide us with tools that we can use for tuning into the natural forces as “qualities of consciousness” associated to that god or deity, and by coming into direct contact with them as a shared state of mind, forming them as a part of our energetic constitution, we not only transform through the acquisition of new ways of being, but our perception of our self and reality changes also as a direct correspondence. As we begin feeling different about ourselves, our outer reality changes simultaneously in the exact same ways. What this is showing us is that the reason they both change as a correlation to each other, is because they’re actually extensions of each other as integral parts of the same thing.

The Relationship of our Higher and Lower Self

In order to begin utilizing our mind as a means of consciously creating in our life, we have to form a basic understanding of the different aspects of our “self”, known as our subconscious, lower self, and our conscious, higher self. These two parts of our self are not “different things”, but different aspects of our self that function as complementary opposites in forming and maintaining the same mental construct as a coherent reality. Our “self” is our “I” or “I Am” as our identity, and doesn’t come as an inner that’s detached from the outer, but as a single reality viewed from a central point within that reality which is necessary in order to “experience” our “self” as that reality. The appearance of separation is necessary in order to create an “experience” of our self. It’s not an illusion in the sense that it doesn’t really exist and we’re just making it up, the illusion comes by the fact that we don’t realize that we’re actually the one creating it, not by forming it on the inner planes and then projecting it outward, but in terms of the fact that we are actually “reality itself”. What we perceive as reality is produced by the mind as an interaction between polar opposites of itself that operate fluently on multiple levels simultaneously to produce the appearance of both an inner and outer, and an upper and lower, which are all aspects of a greater whole.

Reality doesn’t exist “outside of us”, it’s all produced and maintained “inside of us”. It’s all being produced as a mental construct within the sphere of our mind which originates on a higher plane that contains the entire lower plane within it. The reason we exist in a state of duality is because we’ve disassociated from different parts of our own nature, and have formed a belief that we’re just our body viewing everything “out there” from a limited perspective where we imagine we have no control over what happens to us. We come to believe that even our own experiences are something that comes naturally beyond our ability to control them and we’re subject to whatever is happening around us. When we live our life out of this state of mind, we’re always being shaped by others and the events of our life, without seeming to have any control over it or ourselves. We become a victim to our own perception, and stay locked in a mental prison of an unconscious state, usually without it ever dawning on us that we have the key to unlock our own cell.

One of the ways to understand this idea using a different model is to realize that while many of us have been taught and led to believe that our body is made up of trillions of cells, all playing a different role in an independent way from all others, the truth is we’re actually a “single cell” organism. We are comprised of a single cell that regenerates itself as a duplicate, which then reorganizes its internal structure to differentiate, so it can play a specific role and function in constructing and maintaining itself as a part of a “greater whole”. Every cell in our body originated from a single cell as a process of regenerating itself and then separating from itself to form “two cells”, each of which has altered its internal information as a means of specializing. This is the principle of “life” as “halving and doubling” known as mitosis, and spiritually as the process of regeneration and multiplication to produce greater wholes that all exist “within each other” as different parts of the same thing. Likewise, our mind exists simultaneously on different levels as smaller fields nested within larger fields of the same nature as our individual mind, the group mind, and the cosmic or universal mind.

This idea is also conceptualized geometrically as the Monad (center that emanates an outer sphere of the same kind), which generates itself as a physical body located in the center of an outer sphere that it’s acting to emanate, which is what allows it to see and experience itself as a whole interlaced reality. We have a center point (location) and an outer sphere emanated by the central point as a mirror image of itself on a larger scale, which is what allows it to experience itself as a finite being within a greater reality of the same nature. The inner circulates as an electromagnetic energy field forming the outer as a larger aspect of itself, which is then drawn back into the core as an experience of itself. The outer stimulates and concentrates the center, and the center emanates and projects the outer, forming itself as both the body and the outer reality in which the body lives and has an experience of itself. The Monad represents both the mind and the soul which work to form the “self” as a whole reality in order to experience itself, and evolve itself according to it’s own experiences.

The Monad duplicates itself as a mirror image of itself in order to perceive itself as another, forming the Dyad, which is symbolic of both the subconscious and conscious aspects of the same mind. These polar aspects of the same mind work in unison with each other to form what appears as both an inner and outer reality of the same nature. This same principle forms the interaction of the polar aspects of the mind and self as it operates on higher and lower planes as what we call our higher and lower self. These polar aspects of each other are connected by their center and combine to form an overlapping field, out of which a correlated idea is formed, first on the upper (and inner) plane of the imagination, and then on the lower (or outer) plane of material reality, as mirror (reverse) images of each other. These polarized fields of the same mind (vibratory frequency of the same pattern) create a modified version of themselves by only combining selected attributes and qualities that they share in common to form a new variation of themselves. This principle is represented in Quantum Physics as an “interference pattern”, where some aspects are canceled out while others are amplified, and as a result form a new pattern of correlated qualities that births a single reality as their “offspring”. The feminine aspect of the subconscious produces an entire outer reality that the masculine aspect then acts on and within as a means of creating itself.

Psychologically speaking, this represents that our outer reality is being projected by our subconscious mind and contains all the internal content of our mental paradigm, including the repressed and hidden parts that we’re unaware of. This all-inclusive reality is then perceived by our conscious mind, which only recognizes the known aspects of itself, while failing to recognize the suppressed and hidden aspects of it’s own inner nature that it has denied having and therefore disowned, and as a result perceives itself as being different, and not the one actually producing it. The two spheres of the subconscious and conscious mind connect at the center (inner nature), forming a straight line between the inner and outer, which represents a “plane” that also has an upper and lower level. An idea is formed in the imagination on the upper (inner) plane, forming a triangle where the straight line that connects the two centers combine to form an exalted state as a single point (apex), which is then reflected downward into the lower part of the same plane, as a mirror image of itself. The upper and lower combine to form a single reality, represented by a diamond shape. The internal image is used as the means for producing an equivalent material reality of the same type and kind.

This diamond shape as a mirror image of the Triad, when turned 90 degrees, forms a square or cube, which is the symbol for material reality. The axiom “as above, so below” isn’t a mystical idea, it’s showing us that our mind and reality are actually different aspects of the same thing. There’s no difference between them, they’re symmetrical to each other as mirror (polar) images. Reality as we’re capable of knowing it doesn’t “exist” outside of our ability to “perceive it” as an outer material construct. Matter is actually composed of light (photons) and our mind is the organizing principle that shapes light into a holographic construct that appears as a stationary material formation. This principle, demonstrated through the concept of the Tetrad, functions on all levels of our mind in exactly the same way as what we perceive as an inner and outer, upper and lower, past and future, self and another. It’s all a living hologram constructed by our mind as the means of experiencing our self, and shaping our self through our own experiences. The whole and the part are formed out of different combinations and configurations of the same group of correlated information.

The Holographic Nature of Memory

This same holographic principle operates to form memory, which is created and maintained through purely mental means, and is used as a kind of thematic template for creating more and more realities of the same kind that bring more and more of the same type of experiences. The pentacle at the top of the triangle that combines both of the parallel aspects of an “inner and outer” into a single point, represents the fact that we form all of our experiences out of the “interaction” that takes place through our perception of an inner and outer, which is interpreted in a specific way and translated into our memory of the experience, which we acted on ourselves to produce. While the experience may be formed out of what’s perceived as different things, situations, events, and people, it’s all unified back into a single idea by how we interpret it to give it meaning. A memory is used as the perceptual lens we look through as a means of restructuring the outer to be of the same nature as the inner, as the theme used for of interpreting it, and is then absorbed and assimilated back into the same memory as a variation of itself, modifying and upgrading it accordingly.

The interpretation is formed out of our existing memory as a means of multiplying it into an infinite number of little, minute and correlated memories that are all of the same overall idea as an accumulative process. Memory is a kind of template that we superimpose over our existing reality as a perceptual filter that we use to form our experiences by how we interpret them to give them the same meaning. Memory, like the mind that produces it, only appears to be acquired as fragmented pieces of unrelated experiences, while actually existing on both the inner and outer planes as a single whole. Our mental paradigm is formed out of synthesized memory that forms a dynamic model that regenerates itself to produce an outer reflection of itself as another, and then is the means through which we assimilate all of our experiences back into a single whole as the story we tell about our life as a state of being. Our “story” is what gives our life consistency and forms how we “sense our self” in association with our own self-created experiences, and shape our self as a result.

While we’re in the lower plane of material reality, we function as dual aspects of a single mind known as our subconscious and self-conscious. While some present these correlated aspects as not being active at the same time, the truth is the subconscious is active from the moment of conception until death, and never sleeps. It’s only the self-conscious mind of the intellect that sleeps. The subconscious forms what is commonly referred to as the etheric-double or subtle-body, which serves as a blueprint for not only constructing and regenerating our body, but also for maintaining and evolving the outer reality in which the body lives as a story it tells about itself. Our etheric-body is a cohesive substance that acts as a medium for information to flow in a rhythmic manner between upper and lower planes of the same mind. It’s constitution is formed out of coherent memory that’s organized in infinitely different ways to produce every function necessary to create, maintain, and consistently regenerate itself as an evolutionary process conducted by producing and then reabsorbing new variations of itself and integrating them back into the originating idea.

How we shape our “Self” through our own Experiences

Our subconscious is the lower aspect of our mind associated with our animal (mammal) body and is what forms the basis for our personality, which is complementary to our genetic makeup and developed in the initial sense through our formative conditioning. Our personality forms the foundation out of which our identity naturally takes shape based on the roles we begin playing within our family unit and social group. While our identity forms in a natural way as the logical outgrowth of our personality, it’s also the aspect of our “self” that we can create in a conscious manner by learning to utilize the higher capacities of choice and free will. When we remain in a primarily unconscious state, unaware of how it is we’re using our mind in creating our own experiences, our identity forms as a natural extension of our personality through the mental model of our conditioning and in a way that seems natural and beyond our control. By the time we become an adult we have ended up in a certain type of situation and just continue to move forward and build out of that situation, usually without realizing we have the power to direct the course of our own destiny.

This automated process is what forms the idea that we are a soul born with amnesia, where we’ve forgotten who we really are as higher, fully conscious, sovereign being in charge of our own life creation and individuality. When we don’t realize who we are in the spiritual sense, we often fail to realize that we actually have two aspects of our “self” that we need to synchronize harmoniously into a single idea, and we view our heart (subconscious) and brain (conscious) as not only being separate entities, both vying for control, but often perceive them as opposing one another as adversaries. When we don’t understand the natural relationship that exists between our thoughts and our emotions, which are what brings life to our thoughts and motivates the actions we take as a result of how we think, we usually end up allowing our emotions to run our thoughts and we haphazardly end up creating the reality of our emotions. This is what keeps us locked into and constantly repeating the patterns and behavioral dynamics instilled in us through our conditioning. Emotions are always associated to memory and are what acts as the triggering mechanism that keeps us in a constant state of reacting, where we run automatic patterns based on the memories that are activated by the emotions we’re being stimulated by.

Many people become so used to allowing their emotions to run their thoughts that they don’t realize they can actually exercise control over their own thinking and use their higher mind to subdue and direct their lower mind. And instead, they reside in a primarily unconscious state where they let their thoughts run unattended in an habitual manner as a constant form of internal dialogue. This is what forms the “broken record” that runs continuously by replaying the same thought-processes over and over and over, most of which are meaningless in the most basic sense. This is the primary way we recreate the past in the present, because we’re forming a constant dialogue with ourselves using the same memories. The thoughts we’re thinking today are the same type of thoughts we thought yesterday, last week, last month, and two years ago. We use the memories of the past to anticipate and interpret the events of the present, by making them mean the same thing, and then use the same memories used to interpret the present as a means of trying to anticipate and predict the future.

We then feel confused when we consider the idea that our thoughts are what’s producing our reality, because we’re creating the reality of our thoughts without being aware of it. We think our thoughts are formed as an objective interpretation of our experiences, which we also believe are objective and not being created by us due to the fact that both come in a completely natural way without a direct awareness of what it is we’re doing. Reality as we’re capable of “knowing it” is always “subjective in nature”, not because we’re the one actually producing it as a material manifestation, but because in order to create an “experience” out of a material set of circumstances, we have to “interpret it” to make it “mean” something. It’s the meaning we give something that forms the story we tell ourselves about it and is what creates how we experience it. Meaning itself operates on three levels simultaneously in the sense that the story we tell ourselves about it not only means something about us, but also about others and the way the world is in general. The “story” we begin telling ourselves about things forms how we “sense of our self” as the main character of our own story based on how we associate with it, and we systematically shape our “self” by way of our own creation.

If we interrupt our habitual thoughts as an automatic rambling, and simply step outside of them while also detaching from the emotions associated with them, and we take a position of observing how our own mind is operating to create our perception of reality, we can come to understand that thought as a “mental form” is directly connected to emotion, which is what animates it and motives the activity it takes on. We can realize through observation that whatever we focus on and think about gives rise to a correlating emotion in response to it, and likewise, whatever emotion we take on from an outside source, shapes and determines what memories as already formed ideas start playing out in concert with the emotion. This is because memory is formed as ideas that are married to emotions, and they work together to produce offspring as our perception of reality. As we think we invoke an emotional response to our own thoughts (already paired in the memory), which causes them come alive outside of us as the “reality of our thoughts”. Our perception of reality is what allows us to experience our thoughts.

Reality isn’t created through singular thoughts intentionally created as a wish or desire of some kind, it’s established and consistently maintained through our habitual, ongoing, never ending thoughts. Most of which come as the result of our emotional states that were formed into habits through our formative conditioning. When we don’t realize we have the ability to cultivate our own emotional states based on what we choose to focus on and think about, we tend to live in a constant state of internal conflict, where one aspect of ourselves seems to be pent against another aspect. Where our emotions contradict reasoning, and seem to take command of our thoughts without our ability to resist them, keeping us attached to and repeating the same tendencies of the past in an automatic manner. This is what it means to live out of an unconscious state where we have no real awareness of how it is we’re creating our own life experiences.

This sense of duality as inner conflict is further enhanced by the ill-advice given by others who tell you to “follow your heart and not your head”, which means follow your feelings instead of your thoughts. As if they’re different things and one is right while the other will lead you astray. This is where we get sayings like “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”, and “the blind leading the blind”. Your heart symbolizes your subconscious, which is feeling oriented, always present, and instinctively driven through emotional impulses, and your head is symbolic of your conscious mind as thought and will, which has the ability to discriminate and reason in order to make calculated and intelligent decisions. The idea here becomes to get them where they’re about the “same thing” and both moving in the same direction as a means of creating in an holistic manner that’s free from internal conflict. Emotions are the driving force of instinct which comes as activities that don’t require thought, reasoning, or actually making a decision. Thought as a material form created on the inner planes of the mind have no life or activity without emotion – and therefore never manifest as an “actual” reality that provides us with the basis for experience. The idea is to bring these two seemingly different aspects into a harmonious and coherent state as a single reality that brings a sense of peace and contentment, instead of facilitating inner conflict as an ongoing war between them.

Higher Self

The Etheric Blueprint of Our Mind

The subconscious is always active and operating as the very foundation and substrata of the material matrix we experience as “reality”. It operates consistently throughout our life to create a consistent version of reality out of an unconscious state by using memory. Memory forms patterns that create through automated processes. Our conscious mind, or should I say what we perceive as being our conscious mind while within the material construct of our subconscious, is only partially active and is intermittent in nature. This is the part of our mind that goes to sleep and shuts down, losing all awareness of the outside world while our subconscious is still fully operating and producing inner realities out of memory orchestrated through our nightly dreams. The subconscious is always present and has no concept of time outside of natural rhythms. It runs automatic patterns in the present while the conscious mind is distracted and thinking about things that are not a part of the present. The conscious mind is hardly ever present and tends to reside almost exclusively in “time” thinking about the past or attempting to predict the future.

Our conscious mind is our intellect as it’s reflected from a higher (all-inclusive) level, and is what not only witnesses the creation of our subconscious, but also forms all our “word oriented” thoughts as internal dialogue. As we speak we simultaneously form an internal “image” of the meaning of the words or sentences. As we interpret the outer events of our life we reshape them as the basis for experiencing them, producing more and more variables of the same basic theme (meaning) as a means of synthesizing them back into the mental model that birthed them, and evolving our model as a result by way of it’s own offspring. This mental model as our paradigm or energetic structure of our mind, is what’s commonly referred to as our “light body” or “etheric blueprint” that serves as a spatial map or holographic model for not only producing, maintaining, and regenerating our body, but also for constructing and consistently regenerating the outer reality of our body as a direct correlation of each other.

This idea forms a direct connection to our genetic makeup where our DNA has both memory as information to produce and reproduce our physical body, while also storing the memory acquired as experiences through our body. The geometric shape of the Monad can be thought of as the mind and soul and the karmic seed for producing itself as a whole reality, and is symbolized as a dot (black circle) in the center of a larger sphere or circle (white or clear) of the same shape (brain within a membrane), much like the individual cells of our body. This shows us that the outer is an expansion of the inner, and the inner is concentrated into a solid form by the outer. It also represents the idea that all light, which means matter, because matter is composed of photons, exists simultaneously as both a particle (fixed form) and a wave (greater reality as a field). This is the nature of duality, which doesn’t come as “I’m over here and you’re over there”, it comes as our soul creating “itself” as both a body (particle) and whole outer reality (wave) at the same time. The outer is an emanation of the inner, and the inner is formed by digesting and assimilating the the outer.

Energetic Entanglement

This principle is further illustrated through the idea of what we now call Entanglement in Quantum Physics. This basically describes how any two particles “born together” as a form of regeneration, or that become unified as a coherent state (polarized) continue to function as “one” no matter how “far apart” they appear to be in space. This doesn’t occur as a kind of communication from one place to another through a physical pathway, but happens in an instantaneous fashion because they “are” the “same thing” as an “energetic state”. This is because it’s not the material aspect that makes it a “thing”, it’s the energetic “state” that’s acting on and through the material substance to organize it into a material construct. Material reality, both as our body and the entire outer reality in which we live and acquire experience through our body, is organized into a “system” by our soul’s mental state. Our state as a frequency is the organizing principle that coalesces matter into the physical construct as the pattern that’s inherent in that frequency. Every “vibrating system” contains within it a holographic idea as a 3-dimensional model that crystallizes light into a material structure.

While we tend to think that things vibrate on their own independent of us, this isn’t so. The truth is light as little packets or clumps of light exist fundamentally in an unstructured state of probability, until a mind (which again is a paradigm as a frequency) views or observes it. When the mind interacts with an unformed array of light particles, it “influences” the light to form into the same holographic structure as the mind, where it becomes a logical part of the same overall reality (light matrix). Matter is shaped into a material construct as a fundamental operation of the mind. Matter itself is neutral and void of an electrical charge, and acts as a “receptacle” for consciousness to “enter into” and use as a vehicle for constructing whole realities as a correlation of itself. While we tend to think of “spirit” as being “light”, the truth may be that light is the crystallized “shell” (outer garment) spirit concentrates into a material form so it can inhabit it as the means of creating and experiencing itself “as” and “through” its own mental construct.

While most of us have been taught that an atom exists independent of us as an organized system that’s similar to a mini solar system, or beebies all revolving around a nucleus, we now know that this isn’t the case at all. An atom, when not being observed, exists as a mist or cloud-like formation, and only “collapses” into an organized system when it’s being perceived by the mind of an individual. It consistently forms itself in the same way because we’ve all been taught to think of it in the same way and so we set an expectation as a preconceived idea about it. It’s actually our thought about it as a frequency that shapes and determines how it “appears to us”. This is one of the biggest reasons why new discoveries are seldom made, because we only perceive in the outer world what’s produced by and can be explained or predicted using our mental paradigm. So reality exists a paradox in the most basic sense of the idea.

Summary:

What this all tells us if we care to look at it objectively from a detached perspective, is that what we experience as an outer reality, is actually being formed and maintained in a completely consistent way by our mind as a “mental state”. The Earth, which is also a living soul, vibrates at a consistent frequency forming the fundamental structure of reality we call Nature. Due to the fact that we are all formed out of the material substance of the earth, we all vibrate at a similar frequency (average 7.5 to 8 Hz.) as our subconscious mind, which is also the unified mind of the “collective unconscious” that we share in common with all life on Earth. Our mental state operates as a frequency that’s comprised of a dynamic series of correlated states as a “range” of moods and emotions that we’re constantly wavering in and out of. We work through our outer reality by working with our own mind as the inner reality produced by our own thoughts which form correlated emotional states. We can control and regulate our emotions by controlling our thoughts. While this may seem difficult to do initially, because we’ve become so conditioned to letting our imagination run wild and in a completely undisciplined manner, with dedicated practice and concentration, the more we do it the easier and easier it becomes to do.

By learning how to become aware of our habitual thoughts, we can also gain insight into why our life is the way it is. Through this awareness we can learn how to consciously decide what to focus on and think about, and we can learn how to produce positive emotions in response to our own thoughts. We can learn how to quit allowing memories of the past to play out randomly in our mind in an habitual fashion, and we can start choosing to intentionally direct our thoughts instead, and as a result our outer reality born out of our perception will change accordingly. The more we become aware of our own internal processes, and we begin working with them in a fully aware manner, the more our outer reality as our experience also changes. Once we fully realize that our mental state, which is regulated and determined by what we focus on, what we tell ourselves about what we’re focused on that gives it meaning, is what’s forming the perceptual lens we look through for creating our experiences, the more empowered we become in being able to grow and transform ourselves to a higher and more expanded level of creativity within our own life.

Symbols are Living Entities on the Inner Planes that Produce Corresponding Realities in the Outer World

If we hold a symbol of some kind in our mind and concentrate on in a single-minded fashion, while setting an intention of penetrating its deepest secrets, our attention acts as a kind of prompting mechanism that causes it to come alive and start unfolding as an evolutionary flow that steadily culminates into a whole idea. When we clear our mind of random thoughts that run through it continuously in a habitual fashion, and focus coherently on a single image or idea, our attention acts as a stimulating force that magnetizes it with our life-force energy, causing it to begin vibrating, and coming alive as a result. As we concentrate on an idea we begin systematically fashioning it in our imagination as a light-form by defining it with sensory attributes. As it starts becoming vivid with sensory details, it produces a corresponding sensation in our whole being, where it comes alive and starts moving in a fluid-like motion as a process of unfolding. It unfolds by moving through a dynamic sequence where it takes on numerous features as it expands into a full array of possibilities as a kind of growth process. As a symbol comes alive and begins morphing into a synchronized flow of various possibilities, it begins slowly revealing it’s hidden secrets to us while we simply watch it.

Symbols are similar to the archetypes they represent and are a form of “seed” which, when planted in the fertile mind of the subconscious, grow into whole realities that exist in a constant state of evolving through endless variations of itself as a means of “becoming”. Symbols represent whole ideas that are grown in the mind of each individual in a way that’s unique to that individual, because the growth and evolutionary process that takes place is based on correspondences, and how it’s adapted to combine with other complementary elements to form modifications of itself. This process of adaptation as new and unique combinations that form amalgamations that imbue it with new attributes and characteristics that changes it’s form and how it appears in a moment by moment manner, is symbolic of the mind itself and how it operates in creating unique versions of itself as a whole reality. Although things appear stationary on the outer plane of material formation, on the inner planes of living ideas everything exists in a constant process of transformation as an evolutionary growth process of “becoming”. Nothing is stagnate or fixed, and is always moving and flowing into new forms of itself.

In our material existence there’s a constant attempt to make living ideas finite and absolute, where they appear the same to everyone, and we glorify the idea of being “right or wrong” based on the consensus of the group mind. We grasp at concepts given to us by others as a means of being accepted and fitting in to our peer group, or arguing somehow in an attempt to prove we’re right, but on the higher or inner planes of pure mind and spirit, we are all creators in every moment through our ability to think in ways that are unique to us as a means of self-expression. When we exist as a part of the group mind, we fail to utilize and develop the power of our higher, divine nature as a creator and artist. On the higher planes of the conscious mind, we exist fully within our divine nature and are always in the process of “creating” in every moment by how we shape our thoughts into realities in our imagination as a way of experiencing them.

When we’re told what to imagine and picture in our mind, by either being taught conventional ideas or led through a guided meditation of some kind, we only create stationary, static ideas that classify us in the category of being a highly trainable animal. When we focus our mind instead on universal symbols that represent archetypal ideas, and allow a spontaneous process of emergence and becoming to take place without needing or attempting to control and direct how it unfolds or what it acts to reveal, a magical unfolding occurs, and the reality produced is our own unique creation. We should never take an attitude of trying to compare our idea to other people’s ideas about the same thing, or start modifying our realization to somehow conform to theirs out of fear that we might be wrong somehow. It’s only on the lower plane of the animal-plant subconscious that creativity as uniqueness and individuality don’t exist, and as a human being, given the higher capacity of creativity, we use our imagination to create whatever it is we’re told we should create. Only at this lower level are people turned into mindless robots out of a desperate need to fit in and be accepted as a part of a group of other mindless robots. On the higher plane of the true “conscious mind”, intelligence reigns as creativity and our innate ability to create ourselves as individuals.

Most ancient texts of both spiritual and scientific knowledge, which are actually the same thing, are nearly always written in glyphs and the universal language of symbols. This is because not only do they require interpretation, but a single image contains the seed for a whole idea, which when contemplated, generates a whole series of correlated ideas as a chain of association. On the higher planes of cosmic intelligence ideas exist as archetypes, which serve as a prototype or basic concept for generating infinite variations of the same idea. These archetypal ideas act as a “seed of potential” that form based on how they’re combined with other ideas to form an amalgamation that remix the basic formula of attributes and qualities to form new characteristics. The form something takes on is based on the characteristics it possess, which also determine how it functions and behaves. Form always determines function as the natural operation it acts to perform in an automatic way through purely natural behaviors.

How a symbol unfolds within the mind of an individual is based on the unique set of characteristics they possess as their mental paradigm. Each one of us has a unique character, temperament, conditioned tendencies, way of thinking and perceiving, level of education and training, different types of life experiences, maturity, racial background, and so on, and when we each take the same symbol and concentrate on it while setting an intention to acquire its hidden knowledge, it’s adapted to our mental model and modified accordingly. Through a process of adaptation and modification that makes it “like us”, it forms within our imagination in a way that makes it a unique idea as our “own creation”. As human beings emerged within the subconscious of the Earth’s astral plane, we’re always taking universal ideas as archetypes and using them to form a personal creation. Each one of us is meant to be artists in our own right as a means of exercising and developing the higher capacities of our mind as the creator of our own life. Whatever we combine with in mind and spirit, we become like in character, and we take on new qualities as characteristics that alter our behavior by altering how we think about things, and how we form our thoughts into realities in our imagination.

For example: Many people aren’t quite sure what an archetype that serves as a prototype for creating is, because they get stuck on the finite material concept used to represent it. An “idea” comes as a means of creating an “experience” through a material reality. An archetype of “cup” is formed as a basic concept for the purpose of “drinking”. We start with a basic concept of a container that will serve the purpose of holding liquid of some kind so we can engage in the activity of drinking. A symbol is used to represent the basic shape of a cup or chalice as a concept for designing one. When that symbol is held in the mind and concentrated on, all kinds of different ideas about possible ways to make a container start to propagate fluently based on the association made to possible materials and supplies immediately available to you. Various type of ideas come as a cup made with different materials, styles, colors and designs, while still holding true to the concept of a cup. You pick one of your imagined ideas that seems to be best suited for what you want and need, and you proceed to make a cup that’s your own unique design.

The symbol served as the concept out of which numerous possibilities systematically emerge based on how you associate it to other known ideas about the same thing. So symbols, whether a single image or composite or geometric design, serves as a kind of seed for the idea it represents and will systematically generate a whole plethora of ideas related to it. This is the genesis of creation, often referred to as “conception and gestation”. A basic concept is activated within a fertile mind and a chain of association spontaneously unfolds as a sequence of possibilities. When one possibility is selected, held in place, and developed by infusing it with attributes and sensory qualities, we begin shaping it with detail and it’s brought alive within us as a result. The more we continue to define it with sensory details as color, texture, touch, appearance, sound, feeling, smell, and so on, we infuse it with our magnetism as our life-force, and it begins “vibrating” as the frequency associated with the pattern as a construct. This internal construct defined as a specialized idea and brought alive by infusing it with our life force, forms a etheric-shell that serves as a template for producing as a material reality of a corresponding nature that can be “experienced” on the outer plane.

Once an idea is brought alive on the inner plane by activating it and causing it to begin vibrating as a specialized frequency, polarity is formed as complementary aspects that interact with each other, where the same idea is contacted and begins organizing on the outer plane as a correlated manifestation. Just as vibration is formed by the movement between complementary aspects of the same thing that begin moving in sync with each other around and between electromagnetic poles as a rhythmic spiraling movement, this same movement takes place between the active inner and the stationary outer, bringing them together as a reflection of each other. The inner idea, alive with sensation as an inner experience that’s “symbolic in nature”, connects through association to the elements of the “same idea” in the outer world, and becomes a “perceptual filter” as a kind of “lens” we “look through” that makes everything of a corresponding nature “stand out”, and as we non-gallantly scan the environment as we go through our day, ideas of a similar nature stand out and we notice them. As we notice them we’re drawn into them and we begin interacting with them mentally by associating them with being the same type as the idea formed on the inner plane.

This is where allot of people fail to recognize their own manifestations, because they expect the outer manifestation to match the inner idea in appearance, instead of realizing the idea born in their mind is an archetypal metaphor used as a primary concept for organizing variations of itself by entering into and combining with whatever exists naturally within the immediate environment to form a unique variation. The inner construct serves as a conceptual idea that serves to direct and connect our attention to any ideas associated with it as a correspondence in the outer environment. Whatever is formulated using the imaginary capacity of the mind serves as a universal idea that connects with the same idea within our personal life as an analogous idea of the same kind and type. The outer appearance something takes on is just the casing, shell, or outer garment for the inner idea it serves as a vehicle for.

This same process of evolutionary design that’s always fluxing and flowing into new variations of itself based on association and adaptation also occurs in creative processes, where an internal concept or vision is used to design and construct an outer material formation of the same kind that can be “experienced”, shared, and utilized somehow. Iconic or symbolic art, for example, will stimulate a whole internal imaginary process in the viewer. When an artist goes to create something they have to start with a fairly vivid vision or concept of what they’re going to create as an “idea that brings a particular type of experience”. All art is designed to provide a “seed” which, when contemplated or experienced activates and sets a whole series internal processes into motion. A painting, for example, isn’t about the object or image being used, it’s about using the image as an idea that prompts a feeling and stimulates an internal process as a chain of associated ideas that start flowing and unfolding and takes them on an imaginary journey of self-realization. It sets the mood out of which a kind of reverie comes alive inside their imagination as an idea that begins unfolding as a reality.

As you form a fairly vivid concept that’s meant to capture an idea as a feeling, you lay it out on the canvas in basic shapes that are proportioned properly, and with a fair amount of detail needed to construct it in a logical manner. You pick your palette of colors based on the mood and ambiance desired, and as you start painting, you don’t try to rigidly constrain it, but instead let it begin taking on a life of it’s own. You allow it to continue evolving as you paint it based on new thoughts and associations that come as a result of the process undertaken. The object or image itself only acts as a metaphorical representation for the idea being captured and conveyed as a feeling. The idea is that when someone else views it they get a distinct feeling as a kind of mood, and the idea it symbolizes stimulates them in a way that causes them to have a specific type of experience that’s unique to them as their “own creation” on the inner planes of their mind. Art of all kinds invokes creativity and self-expression in everyone who engages in it as an “experience” of the same idea.

The same type of process occurs in inventions and innovative discoveries. An idea comes to mind, and it’s initially captured by writing it down or sketching it out as a basic idea, and then the basic idea is developed conceptually with detail until it can serve as a kind of diagram or blueprint for constructing a material object or machine. As you start to construct or manufacture it, new realizations form based on whether or not it’s working like you thought it would, or better ideas as modifications to your original design spontaneously come to you as you’re building it, and you tweak and redesign it as you go, until the finished product performs the way you intended it to. You allow it to breathe and evolve as a “living idea” as part of your creative process.

All of us are doing this on the inner planes of our mind based on how we think about something, and then visualize our thoughts as a reality in our imagination. As we continue to think about the same idea, we develop it in new ways based on how we combine it with other ideas or various scenarios as a means of shaping it with new attributes and characteristics that evolve it into new variations of itself. As we shape an idea with sensory detail in a way that gives us an experience of it, it serves to invoke correlating feelings and emotions, which bring it alive with movement. Thoughts that we dwell in with intense feelings and emotion come alive with vibration and become polarized with the outer world of stationary manifestation. Our outer world is manifest (arranged) by us as a correspondence to our inner world. We don’t realize this because our inner, imaginary world born out of our sensationalized thoughts serves as a symbolic representation that’s metaphorical in nature and sets the pace for our outer world as a corresponding theme. What acts as the “bridge” that connects the inner with the outer is the feeling they give us as an experience.

An idea (or memory) formed on the inner planes as an experience that causes us to feel sad, for example, will serve an an archetypal matrix that forms a perceptual lens for only seeing and constructing a similar idea in the outer world, which will serve to bring us more experiences that cause us to feel sad. Sad thoughts produce sad realities. The outer reality may not come in the same form as the inner thoughts, but it will give us the same feeling as a type of experience. Many don’t realize this because they think it’s about the “appearance” an idea takes on, which they think is fixed on the inner plane in the same way it is on the outer plane, and they look outside for the same idea they formed inside, instead of realizing that the outer manifestation comes as constant variations of the inner idea based on the elements available in the immediate environment being used to construct it and play it out as an experience.

Universal concepts that exist on the Spiritual plane as archetypes are used to construct and hold together the universe and are infinite in nature. They’re living ideas that are always in the process of regenerating as an infinite number of unique variations based on how they combine with the “mind” and take on the same attributes and qualities as the mind, and in doing so, form into new variations of themselves. All things that we perceive as being different from each other are in truth simply unique variations of each other formed by combining with different elements. The soul is an infinite being who manifests itself and its own reality as a means of “experiencing itself”. Experience comes as an idea that invokes a feeling out of which a dynamic series of realizations spontaneously emerge that brings us new insights into the true nature of things. It’s not based on the physical form or construct of reality, it’s based on how we use the material formation to invoke an internal response as an experience. Numerous situations can produce the same type of experience that leaves us with the same type of feeling. As we create our experiences we cultivate the feelings born out of them, and use those feelings to tell a story about things that give them meaning. Feelings, meaning, and experience are consistently cultivated as a “theme” that births our personal “myth”.

We are all archetypal beings and are always creating ourselves through metaphors we use as the means of experiencing ourselves as a specific type of person living a specific type of story. Our creative abilities come through our thoughts which are consistently being developed, defined, and evolved on the inner planes of our mind, and serve to form a symbolic idea as a vibratory frequency for connecting with the same idea on the outer plane. As we call forth the corresponding outer reality of our thoughts, we experience ourselves through that reality. We mistakenly believe our soul is our body and is disconnected from our reality, when the truth may be our soul is our “mind”, and is always in the process of creating itself through its own thoughts imagined as a reality. This reality vibrates at the frequency of our soul’s signature, and is used to project our outer reality as a means of experiencing ourselves through our own creation. Whatever we consistently cultivate on the inner planes of our imagination is magnetized with sensation and emotion and acts as the “archetypal seed” for stimulating and bringing forth in our awareness a corresponding outer reality of the same nature. As we call forth our own experiences, we shape our identity out of those experiences. This is what it means to be a creative archetypal being, bestowed with the ability to create ourselves by how we use our own mind and will to experience ourselves through generating our own “light-matrix” as an outer perception of our inner thoughts.

Understanding the Nature of Karma as the Seed for Our Soul’s Evolution

The idea of Karma has been greatly misconstrued over the years due to a fundamental lack of understanding as to what its design and purpose is and how it functions as a form of “soul seed” for life. Many have been taught to think of life in terms of separate and random events that take place, seemingly without any correlation with each other. If something unfortunate happens, someone remarks saying “it must be your karma”, and of course bad or hurtful situations are the ones most commonly pointed out as being due to karma, whereas good ones are thought to be “luck” or good karma, dividing it even further into “good and bad”. It’s as if we’re either being punished and getting back what we deserve, or we’re being rewarded somehow for good behavior. We can’t seem to help the tendency to view our life in terms of a series of separate and often unrelated events that we imagine have nothing to do with each other. Yet, if we look at the most fundamental laws that govern all of nature as the basis for any “life-cycle”, we can realize that everything comes into being as a “seed” and “egg” that contains all the information for that being in its latent state, which is then systematically activated in a synchronized fashion as a process of growth, development, and becoming.

The entire essence that gives something all its innate characteristics, both mentally and physically, is inherent in the seed, and each latent aspect is brought into an active expression through a dynamic process of “cause and effect”. The outer world acts to stimulate and call forth what’s latent within us, and we begin developing it through the dynamic that ensues as a relationship with that same aspect in another. Not as “this action produces that effect or reaction”, where it then stops, but more of a rhythmic movement between complementary aspects of the same characteristic where the effect or reaction produced by an initial cause, then becomes the cause that produces an equivalent reaction. It then moves back and forth in a synchronized fashion as an interaction that escalates and amplifies the character trait being expressed. This back and forth movement of cause and effect, action reaction, forms a self-perpetuating system that’s also self-sustaining.

We’re always provoking a specific type of reaction in everyone and everything around us through the attitude we display as our normal behaviors. We co-produce our experience of reality with others based on how we interact as a relationship we form with corresponding aspects of ourselves in them. We act to first bring out specific aspects in them which are then mirrored back to us as our own projection, allowing us to experience ourselves “through” them. Our inner feelings, thoughts, and emotions vibrate at a specific frequency that acts as a filtering mechanism for “sorting out” the elements inherent in the outer world, using only a handful of selected aspects that we then use to reconstruct a personalized version of reality that corresponds to our thoughts about it. Reality as we’re capable of knowing it is subjective in nature and formed through our ability to perceive it. All perception is formed out of our mental paradigm and always comes as a mirror image of ourselves being projected on a larger scale that’s all-inclusive.

We only “see” in everything what matches our beliefs and expectations about it, and we interpret all activities and events to give them whatever meaning they have as a way of creating our own experiences. We are always using our “mental paradigm” as a holistic model to first project, stimulate and bring out the same properties and characteristics in everything else, and then shape our perception out of the “selected” information. We all form our paradigm initially out of our conditioning as memories, values, beliefs, preferences, and the character traits “in us” that have been developed through the dynamics played out consistently in our family situation, where we played a specific “role” in that dynamic. Whatever role we begin playing in our family pattern, forms the “story” we begin telling ourselves about who we are, how other people are, and what life is about. We are not just conditioned to the role we begin initially playing as a child, but to the entire pattern of the dynamic, where we begin relating to different roles in the same dynamic as we grow and begin maturing.

The role we played at seven, when we were a child, changes when we become fourteen, twenty, and thirty, where we begin relating to the parental role in the same overall idea. This is why children who were abused in some way tend to grow up to become the one doing the abusing. And as adults, we abuse others in the same way we were abused, because we’re still perceiving and functioning through the same dynamic. As we begin participating in the “theme” being played out by our family dynamics, we become identified with that theme as a behavioral pattern, and it forms the story we begin living as a means of knowing who we are, while also forming all kinds of natural (unconscious and automatic) behaviors because of it. These natural attitudes and behaviors developed in us as a child serve to keep us acting out the same patterns by both initiating them through unconscious behaviors, and maintaining them in different ways through all the relationships we form as a “way of being” in every area of our life.

Because we are primarily in our subconscious mind as a child, our initial programming is largely unconscious in nature, which means we form natural behaviors around it that we’re only partially aware of as we start becoming adults. What this means is we not only readily see the story of our conditioning in others and everything around us, but we also act to provoke the pattern into an active state by bringing out the necessary qualities in others for them to “act it out with us”. This all comes as our natural way of interacting with the world around us. We don’t realize what we’re doing because it’s our natural way of being, and we don’t even realize we’re doing it. These unconscious tendencies, innuendos and insinuations demonstrated through our demeanor and how we’re being and acting, serve as what you might think of as a “sifting process” for stimulating others to play out the dynamics with us that are ingrained in us. This is how the principle of cause and effect takes place as a rhythmic cycle through our perception as an energetic interaction. It’s not “this behavior or that behavior” which we imagine as being a random or independent act that forms karma, but the coherent state out of which our entire perception and experience of reality is formed in a completely natural way.

Through our initial conditioning as a child and young adult our paradigm as a holographic model is formed based on what parts of our character have been brought into active expression and developed through our family and social dynamics, and what parts remain dormant and undeveloped. As we mature and grow and we begin moving into new situations as we adventure out into the world, we still maintain and nurture our basic perceptions and beliefs about ourselves, and we attract to and form relationships with people who are conditioned with the same tendencies and who will play a role in acting out the same dynamics with us. While situations and events that are diverse in nature serve to facilitate our growth by stimulating and bringing out new aspects of our character that are often unfamiliar and even unknown to us and therefore require us to develop ourselves in new ways through the relationship we form with them.

Unfortunately, we tend to view change as scary and something that’s very uncomfortable and to be avoided at all costs, usually equating it with loss of some kind, and as a result growth tends to come most often through situations we find very challenging that cause a form of personal crisis to ensue that forces us to change. Or it comes as a tragedy that involves an extreme sense of loss that diminishes us with an overwhelming sense of grief that we can’t seem to move past, or something traumatizing that shatters our life and sends us into a downward spiral that seems chaotic and uncontrollable. Otherwise we choose to remain in our comfort zone, safe within our own sense of familiarity and in being able to predict what tomorrow will bring with a fair sense of accuracy, and we float along in our life living out the same habits and rituals and, as a result, never really change or grow. We just repeat the same patterns born out of our conditioning and replay the story formed out of the same group of memories we consistently replay in our mind as a way of thinking about things and knowing who we are.

Memories as a Theme for our Life

This same principle of the mind (paradigm) actually being a holistic model as a single entity, is also true of memory, which of course is also produced by the mind. While we can think we have all these different memories about things based on different events and how we experienced them in different ways, upon closer examination we can realize that all of what we perceive as being unrelated or random events were actually orchestrated through our perception and then absorbed back into our mind “through” our experience of them. We first use our mental paradigm as the means of perceiving the events of the outer world, and then we create how we experience them as the means of synthesizing them back into the same mental model that produced them as a modification of the memory itself, which acts to upgrade and evolve it. Our “perception” is formed out of our “model” as a “coherent state”, which means a dynamic series of what’s called “perceptual filters” are always at play in determining what we see in any situation and use to form our experiences, and, of course, what we don’t. Our model is first used to filter out the information inherent in any situation and then use only the “selected parts” to construct a “new whole” as an interpretation that’s unique to us, and provides the means for “experiencing ourselves” through or as a whole self-constructed outer reality.

Upon further examination you can also realize that the only “actual memories” we have in terms of the ones we continue to replay and live out of throughout our life were the ones that had a strong emotional impact on us, and therefore “shaped us” due to the story we began telling by how we interpreted them to give them the meaning they had. We can further realize that we tend to use the same handful of memories to continue to create out of by consistently replaying them in the present as a means of forming the same type of interpretation out of which we create more and more of the same type of experiences. This is because these are the memories we have used to shape our identity out of. Certain events served to shape us as a person and formed the “main theme” our life took on as we became an adult. These memories that we continuously replay and live out of, are not only the template we use to structure and interpret our life in the general sense, but also as the means of shaping ourselves as a person by how we come to identify with our own story about ourselves and our life. We use these experiences as the means of “knowing who we are”, and how the world operates accordingly.

The emotionally impacting experiences formed what we can think of as an “internal representation” that has a theme inherent in it as “meaning”. We created our experience of the event based on what we decided it “meant about us”. Due to the fact that most of these events took place in our family dynamic and immediate environment, they all formed the same idea as a generalization that we used as a means of processing and interpreting all events and activities that were of a similar nature, making them out to be about the same thing. The meaning we gave our own self-created experiences formed the theme we then began identifying with as we grew older, and we shaped ourselves to be the main character playing the lead role in that story.

As we create experiences out of dramatic events, we associate and relate to our own self-made experiences, and form our identity out of our own creation. The meaning our life takes on is based out of what emotions we are experiencing due to the nature of the event. As a child we haven’t began developing our intellectual, reasoning mind to help us put things in their proper perspective, and so all of our initial memories are formed out of our emotional reactions and have no rational basis. These irrational emotional ideas form the basis for our mental model out of which the “reasoning mind” of our intellect is born, grows, and evolves as a correlation. By the time we become adults we’ve already established the premise for our identity to evolve out of based on how we used our imagination to form the reality of our most dominant and frequent emotions. This reality formed out of the emotions of a child in an attempt to make sense of what was happening and why, that we continue to live out of as an adult, is what’s referred to in spiritual texts as “illusions” (false realities) that become delusions because we shape ourselves and our life through them.

Due to the fact that we don’t realize the true nature and origin of our own memories, or the fact that we are the ones who actually created them, we see them as being true about us, and therefore “real”. Because we believe they’re real and can recall them vividly based on the emotion we were experiencing at the time we created them, we continue to use them as a form of template for producing more and more realities and experiences of the same nature. And by continuing living out of the same group of memories, we keep ourselves locked into the same emotional states. As we grow into our “thought-life” as teenagers and young adults, our habitual emotions continue to shape our perception and serve as the means for interpreting our experiences. The thoughts formed out of our emotions merely act to create more and more imaginary realities of the same kind through the internal dialogue we form as a way of using one part of ourselves to talk to another part of ourselves. Allow yourself to notice that you’re always using your conscious mind to talk to your subconscious mind, telling it how to view an idea so that it fits congruently into your ongoing story about things. Our thoughts are always running in an automatic and habitual way as a means of explaining, describing, and forming a narrative around things that serves to fit them into our mental model in a way that makes sense and constructs a consistent experience of reality.

What you want to notice about this process as an equation, is that it’s all formed in a harmonious and cohesive way as a growth process that’s always evolving and expanding on a primary idea. Our primary idea about our self and our life forms a theme as the nature of what becomes our life story, and our “identity” is shaped through the “telling” of that story. As we’re born into life as a soul within a correlated personality, the conditions, circumstances, and initial relationships and dynamics of our life activate, bring out, and develop certain parts of us, while other aspects of our character remain latent within us as “potential” for future development. While we can clearly say that we’re initially shaped by others and the circumstances we’re born into, you can only develop in someone what’s there in its latent form waiting to be developed through a “live interaction”. We’re all born into this life with the inner nature as characteristics that have been developed previously and attained as the memories born out of our deeds and actions. Our initial life situation and family unit establishes and set the stage for a continuation of all our previous experiences as memory of ourselves while in different personalities and life situations.

Our Karma Sets the Theme for our Life in Motion as a Continuation of the Past

As we move from one life to another and reincarnate into a new personality and situation, we bring the same character traits as memory of our “self” (soul) we created in the previous life and act it out again in a new and varied way in this life time. This is very easy to understand by simply observing how your memories formed in this life shaped you as an individual, and provide you with a thematic template for creating present and future experiences to be the same nature as the past. Notice how it is you use only a small handful of memories from your past by continuing to replay them in your imagination as the means of living the same story about yourself and the way life is, to create in the present as a continuation of the past, and as a way of predicting the future. You use your existing memory as an accumulation of similar experiences as the means of forming your expectation of future events as possibilities of the same type and kind. The principles that operate within your current life to form memories of yourself through your own creations, where the past becomes the basis for the present as a continuation, and the present becomes the means for creating the future, is the same ones that operate in all of your lifetimes.

As you go into any new relationship allow yourself to notice that you’re always using your memory of your past relationships to look for the same traits, qualities and behaviors in the new person. You form your expectation of the present relationship based on your experience of the past one by anticipating more of the same thing. This is why we always seem to end up in the same “type” of relationships with the same “type” of people, and we play out the same “type” of dynamics as our previous ones, with only an added twist or slight modification to how the same idea plays out. No matter what relationship we form it ultimately seems to leave us feeling the same way. It’s like . . . “new face, same feeling”. No matter where you go, there you are. And the really interesting thing is that only some become aware of playing out the same idea over and over with different people, and instead believe how the relationship goes is based on the other person.

Memories, like our mental paradigm and character, are not fixed as permanent or dead constructs. We evolve our memories each time they’re recalled based on the relationship they form with everything else and the situation or circumstances we’re using them as a mental filter for perceiving and interpreting. This is because memory, like the mind and soul producing them is a living entity that’s always in the process of evolving itself into new formations based on what it combines with. A memory formed around 7 to 10 years old, and recalled when your 15 or 16, is adapted to your level of maturity and understanding, and modified to fit with whatever it is you’re using it to think about and compare. The only thing that remains consistent about it is the general idea it represented as a theme based on the meaning it had for you. We have a whole system of memories that we use as the means of providing us with an instant interpretation of any new situation or idea based on association.

As we encounter or enter into something new our mind instantly searches our memory bank for any idea of a similar nature, instantly references it, pulls it up, and uses it as a perceptual filter for comprehending the new and similar situation by shaping it in a way that makes it “mean the same thing”. Our mind works by the “law of conservation” and only expends the energy necessary for creating by giving us a means of instantly interpreting and assessing any new situation. This is how we not only form all of our normal perceptions of reality as a whole, but also form all new situations and ideas to fit our existing model in a way that’s congruent and cohesive. As we modify an idea to fit our model, that same modification upgrades and evolves our model as a new variation. When we recall a memory as a perceptual filter for applying to specific situation, it’s modified to form a new variation of the same idea by the adjustment to our mental state, and haw it has to be modified to fit the new situation in a logical and meaningful way. So as we reshape our outer world to fit within the confines of our inner world, we evolve it into a new possibility for reality, and the absorption of the experience we create modifies and evolves our model by accommodating it. We’re always evolving ourselves based on our own manifestations, and how we act on those manifestations to adjust them to fit new situations that form new variations. Evolution is based on adaptation to new situations that form unique modifications that still hold true to the original idea.

One of the easiest ways to understand this is by having a conversation with someone else who was a part of the same event as you were as a child, and simply listen to how they remember it. Not only will the event itself be different in terms of how they recall the actual situation and what took place, but what was going on and what it meant to them will be almost entirely different than yours. Sometimes it can seem so different it may seem like you’re not even talking about the same thing. This is especially true of siblings, parents, family members, and close friends. While we have a tendency to think that the same events meant the same thing to everyone involved in it, this is never the case. And also allow yourself to notice that when someone else recalls it in a vastly different way than you did, that your first inclination is usually to argue or try to correct them, or convince them that your interpretation was the right one. If you refrain from arguing that point, and instead just listen to their entire story about it, it’ll give you great insight into the individual nature of experience, meaning, and memory.

This will show you that each one of us is not only forming a completely unique experience of the same thing, but then act to evolve it in a completely different way as they go through life based on how they consistently apply, adapt, and modify it. Allow yourself to also realize that your most predominant memories of an emotional and significant nature, aren’t based on what actually happened, but on your state of mind and the meaning you gave them as the means of creating how you experienced them. This same process of taking what exists as a whole memory or 3-D model and evolving it based on how you adapt and modify it congruently to fit new situations and life circumstances plays out also through reincarnation as a continuous process of growth and evolution based on the relationship formed through new series of combinations that are dynamic in nature.

Healing Karma and the Nature of Redemption

Another grave misconception about karma comes when we view it as lessons to be learned and reducing it to a psychological process as a result. There’s really no such thing as having someone else “heal us” of our perceived karmic issues, because it’s not a single trial or behavior or tendency that’s producing it, it stems from our “whole mind” as our paradigm, which is born out of our character. It’s only transformed by evolving our paradigm to a new way of being and perceiving. The lesson involved in karma is in realizing that we are the one, and the only one creating our experiences and shaping our character according to our experiences. We only change our outer world and the theme being played out by recognizing how it is we’re producing it, both through unconscious feelings, motives and behaviors, and consciously by the meaning being used to form the basis of the story we’re always in the process of telling by living it as a reality.

Karma usually stems from patterns we’re repeating habitually from a primarily unconscious state born out of our formative conditioning. It’s a “cause and effect relationship” we form with our “self” (same mindset) in everything else. Whatever character traits we possess in a well-developed state (which means they’re always active and expressing to create our perception), forms our perceptual filters as the lens we look through as a means of seeing those same qualities and traits in everything else. As we perceive them, we’re also forming the demeanor and behaviors of them as our physiology, and energetically we’re projecting them onto and activating them in everything else. Once we activate them all around us, all activity as an interaction is formed out of them to produce a joint-reality. One of the easiest ways we have of knowing what’s secretly active in our very presence, is by what traits and activities we consistently bring out in others, and the type of dynamics that play out as a result.

The problem comes when we don’t realize this, and we imagine we have nothing to do with others and how they behave towards us or treat us, and instead we imagine that everything is being done to us. We fail to comprehend that we’re perpetuating our own reality through a relationship of cause and effect. For example, a person who forms a life-theme of “not being good enough”, will unconsciously produce the behaviors and tendencies that cause others to perceive them as not being good enough. They’ll literally instigate the perception that brings out and causes the other person to think they’re, once again, not good enough, or they’ll interpret any number of behaviors, no matter how well intended to “mean” they’re not good enough. Being “not good enough” becomes the theme of their life, and even when a situation that provides contradictory evidence that they “are” good enough, they’ll either interpret it in a way that feeds the feeling they secretly harbor, or they’ll outright sabotage it by unconsciously producing the behaviors associated with it, forcing it as a conclusion.

Someone who is afraid of success, for whatever reason, will either knowingly or unknowingly sabotage and produce the events that consistently ruin their chances for success. Even though there’s a part of them that knows they’re doing it on purpose, another part of them is justifying it through their belief that they can’t handle being successful. There’s always an interaction going on between different parts of ourselves as a collaboration for producing a consistent version of reality out of our beliefs about our self and our relationship to everything else. To resolve the karma involved is to realize and come to terms with the truth that we’re actually the one doing it to ourselves “through” others and how we set-up the circumstances of our life as our very perception of it, and then facilitate the activities that ensue from it by how we behave as an interaction.

Life is a School for Gaining Knowledge of Ourselves through Experience

As we finish one life and bring it to a conclusion, all our experiences as memory of ourselves attained in that life are absorbed into our soul’s essence as a kind of summary. They’re all synthesized into a single coherent state which becomes the “karmic seed” for the next life. This isn’t an exact process in terms of “an eye for an eye”, but rather proportional in terms of meaning and what type of experiences we naturally form out of the meaning as a feeling about ourselves that we give things. We create through patterns that form a coherent whole, and just as we can play any role in a dynamic, and are consistently switching back and forth between complementary roles, sometimes instigating and provoking it, and other times on the receiving end of the same pattern, whatever we “put out, we get back” in the same measure. Whatever we cause through actions of some kind, which is then perceived as being the cause and produces a corresponding effect in us, causing another action that also produces an equal effect, and this back and forth movement between opposite poles of the same idea repeats indefinitely until we’re able to realize that we’re the one doing the whole thing. We’re both the cause and the effect in orchestrating the events of our own life.

The Nature of Redemption

We are never only conditioned to one role in a behavioral dynamic, but to the dynamic itself, where we can play any role in that dynamic based on how we’re associating with it, and what role other people take on in playing out the same dynamic with us. Due to the fact that this pattern is played out both consciously and unconsciously, we don’t always have a direct awareness of how it is we’re playing other roles. This is also often due to the fact that when we play the complementary role in our conditioned pattern, we tell ourselves a different story about it that makes it seem different, or justifies our right to be that way. So the same behavior “appears different” to us when we’re the one doing it based on what we’re telling ourselves about what we’re doing and why.

So based on what role we’re playing, we relate with that role which has a whole different story and perspective to it. A child being abused by a parent, for example, is conditioned with the behaviors and tendencies that cause the abuse, and plays the role of the helpless victim, yet as they grow and become an adult, they begin associating with being the parent in the same dynamic and become the one doing the abusing over the same behaviors and tendencies being displayed by their own child. When they’re doing the abusing, they tell themselves a different story about it that makes it seem different and justifies their right to be that way. At one point they’re on the receiving end and having it done to them, and in the next, they’re on the giving end doing the same thing to another, with the common denominator being the behavior that originated as being the cause. Our memory of being criticized and berated as a child due to certain tendencies we openly expressed becomes our reason for criticizing and berating our own child as an adult and parent. We mimic the behavior being demonstrated and done to us. We do unto others what was done unto us, because we’re imprinted with the “whole pattern”.

Redemption comes in stepping outside of our unconscious tendencies altogether and becoming aware of what we’re actually doing, why we’re doing it, and how it is we’re doing it. It comes in realizing we’re not the “soft-ware” of a computer, but the “hardware” that’s running the programs through a prompt that activates and sets an operation in motion that results in a “reality” that we then form an experience out of. We can only break unconscious patterns by becoming aware of them while also realizing and owning our part in creating them. As we wake up within our own unconscious dream, we can begin directing it from a conscious and self-aware state. We don’t heal our psychological wounds from within their reality by rehashing them over and over as a means of trying to see something new in them, but by transcending them altogether through awareness. Not by trying to correct an error or turn a wrong into a right, but by observing our own inner process in order to realize its all being created and maintained by “us”. We’re the common denominator of all our experiences. Not as our conscious or subconscious mind, but as our “whole mind”, which utilizes and encompasses both of them as a means of creating itself as a reality in order to experience itself as a particular type of person.

It’s not the events themselves that shape us as a person and soul, it’s how we create our experience of those events, and then identify with our own creation. Once we realize that the outer world is a reflection of our own mind and mental paradigm, and that we only recognize the aspects of it that we’re aware of and have no problem owning, while not recognizing the hidden aspects being projected by our subconscious that we deny having and therefore disown, we can begin using it for the “self-awareness tool” it is. Once we realize that anything or anyone that we form a strong or adverse reaction to is actually a complementary role in the same pattern and necessary to instigate it and set it into motion as a reality that’s comprised of unknown aspects of ourselves, we can begin refraining from reacting while turning our attention inward to connect with that same idea within us as a feeling associated to a memory.

By looking at the memory associated with the reaction we can become aware of our own hidden traits that we’ve judged inappropriately and denied having as a result, and we can begin learning how to integrate them into our paradigm by finding an appropriate expression and use for them. There’s no such thing as a bad trait or emotion, there’s only an inappropriate use and way of expressing it that’s destructive somehow and makes it seem bad. By finding a healthy and beneficial way of expressing it, we integrate the fragmented part back into a coherent whole, and we no longer notice it in others and it no longer serves to provoke us into a reactive state where we go unconscious. Karma is formed when we create out of a primarily unconscious (or semi-unconscious) state as a reaction to our own creation, where we don’t realize that we’re actually the one creating it. When we’re able to find an appropriate means of expressing fragmented and disowned aspect of our self, we bring them back into a coherent whole where when we’re a part of the same situation, activity, or interacting with the same type of person that provoked a strong reaction in us before, we see it in a “matter of fact way”, and it no longer stands out or effects us. We then lose interest in it and it fades to the background of our everyday life and sets the stage for other types of experiences.

Once this occurs, we move out of mental fragmentation that poses different parts of ourselves against each other, where we’re created in an unconscious way by our reaction to others and the events of our life, and we can resume our true role as our own creator. We can begin deciding in a moment by moment way who we are and how we’re going to be because we’re no longer pulled into a constant state of reacting. By becoming aware of our self as our internal processes that are producing our external experience of reality, we cultivate a sense of inner peace and calm, and become much more thoughtful and deliberate in our actions. We can begin making decisions for our self and utilizing our will to create our experiences in a more desirable and beneficial way. And in doing so, redeem ourselves from creating our life from an unconscious state, and truly become responsible for our own creation and begin evolving ourselves to a higher and more conscious state of awareness and being.
