“13” – The Principle of Death, Regeneration, and Birth

There’s probably no number or idea that has been consistently misinterpreted to instill fear as a misunderstanding of the principle involved than this one. Yet by examining the occult meaning of this number we can gain a new understanding of the universal law it represents as the means of liberation for the human soul. The principle of death is called “Nun” and represents “motion” and its primary function is to walk, travel, depart, pass away, whirl, and to sail away or travel through water. The process of the soul’s transition at death is often depicted as traveling on a boat through water moving from one shore to another.

Movement produces life giving change and is the means for transformation as modifications that produce variations as a growth process. It’s represented by the symbol of the “fish” as the “Vesica Piscis” or “womb of the universe” out of which all things are born, and by the serpent, which is both the redeemer and the messiah. The fish and serpent (ligand and yoni) symbols are paramount to the doctrines of resurrection and reincarnation. Christ was represented by the symbol of the fish. Death is also symbolized by the sideways 8, the sign of infinity, and represents the “twin phases of life” as cyclical elastic movement between higher and lower planes. Only through death of the old can we be reborn in a higher form.

Sacred Geometry and the Principles of the Tarot

 All numbers provide us with a form of code as the laws involved in any process as a formula for how to work with it consciously. 1 + 3 = 4, as we withdraw attention (key 1) from an idea, it “frees up” the energy being used to give it life, making it available for directing into something else. As we direct the free energy as our attention into something else and develop it internally in our imagination (Key 3), we give life to the new idea and a form of transformation takes place. When we change our thoughts and what we give our energy to, we change what manifests as a result (Key 4). When we change the groundwork out of which we build our reality, the reality itself changes as a direct correspondence.

13 = “regenerative power” as fertility, fecundity, and productiveness that sprouts and grows new ideas as both internal and external realities. When we act to change a “cause” (mental awareness) we change the “effect” in exact proportion and equal measure. Whatever the nature of our most intimate thoughts always produce an equivalent outer reality. As we concentrate on an idea we bring it to life in our imagination and develop it into a detail scenario by shaping and defining it with specific attributes and qualities. As we develop ideas in our imagination by continuing to think about them we shape them into “internal representations” that serve as a metaphorical template that we look through in order to perceive the same type of ideas in our outer environment.

When we remove our attention from an idea and no longer act to give it life inside of us, it passes from our awareness freeing up our attention to be directed into something new. As we infuse a new idea with that same energy we adapt it to our current model to produce a new thought that gestates in our imagination until we eventually birth it as a new experience of reality. This principle is represented by a “swirling motion” (vibration) as a wheel or circular movement that symbolizes the life-cycle of an idea. Once an idea is manifest and its expression exhausted, a cycle is complete, and it lays the groundwork necessary for a new one to emerge in its place as a growth process of continuous transformation and regeneration.

13 is represented by the water element and is oriented in the south-west direction (of Metatron’s cube), and is often symbolized as a river and a boat sailing on the river as a means of crossing over from one side to the other. Water is symbolic of the “Mother substance” of life and is the ultimate symbol of transformation. It’s the Astral Light of the formative plane that’s elastic and fluid-like and is what shapes the etheric body as the blueprint for all living forms. Water rises from the sea (universal source) to become clouds that move across the landscape descending as rain, forming lakes and rivers that then flow back to the sea from whence it came. Life is a continuous process of transformation from one state to another, where we expand and express, then retract and process, then repeat the process indefinitely.

13 is associated with the zodiac sign of Scorpio, which is a water sign, and is exalted in Uranus (higher Soul), and governs the sex organs associated with reproduction and regeneration, and is connected with the 8th house of death. Scorpio is symbolic of transformation as 3 phases or states that form 1 evolutionary cycle. These 3 phases of development are represented by a scorpion while in its lowest phase of development, a serpent in its middle phase, and the eagle in its highest phase. 13 comes as the completion of 11 (karma), the fulfillment of 12 (self-sacrifice of initiation), and the undulation of 14 (creating a new vibration). The serpent represents the male energy, and the fish represents the yoni as the womb through which we give birth.

The mode of intelligence represented by 13 is “imaginative intelligence” (3) and reveals that all causation is mental in nature (1), and is birthed, transformed, and evolved into new forms through the faculty of the imagination (Key 3) to produce an equivalent physical manifestation (Key 4) as its offspring. All change comes by evolving ideas in the imagination to form new variations, or by birthing new ideas in place of old ones. We change ourselves by changing the thoughts and memories we use as the means of shaping ourselves. All personal change comes as a change in mental imagery. If you change the mental image the external form will change accordingly.

When the forces of change are misunderstood by the very mind that’s designed to direct them, they tend to cause fear. These forces of Nature are connected with reproduction and by right use of the imagination may be tamed and transformed so they can be utilized for the prolongation of life. Through understanding and correct use of the laws involved we can consciously direct the forces of change in overcoming death. In order for the correct understanding to be achieved, fear of death and dying must be overcome through right knowledge and the proper interpretation of physical dissolution. It’s not the soul that dies with the body, but only the identity formed in association with the personality of the body. The etheric body used to construct and operate the physical body of the personality dies with the body, while the soul ascends to a parallel plane. The human soul is in a constant state of growth and development as a means of self-creation and considers the confinement of a mundane life within an animal body to be true death. When the body dies the soul that inhabits it and gives it life is set free.

The skeleton is the image associated with 13 and is considered the physical organ of the soul’s essence (marrow). The skeleton of the body is necessary for movement and change from one place to another and transformation. It’s the framework that supports the whole body of physical existence. The soul’s essence, so to speak, resides in the bone marrow and is what produces the blood cells that nourish all other organs and systems of the body. Our blood chemistry is formed as an expression of our soul’s mental state, perceptions, and memory. As we create experiences and form reactions to our own thoughts, we’re constantly transforming the chemistry of our body to be of the same nature. What we consider the “veil” or mask that lies between life and death is perpetuated through change, transformation, and the soul’s passage from lower to higher planes as an continuous flow of consciousness.

The word “Nun” has growth and development for its basic meaning, symbolizing perpetuity as a continuous evolutionary process. In Biblical texts, Joshua was the son of Nun, and the great hero that Jesus was named after. Jesus was known as having 12 disciples (archetypes of zodiac) and was the 13th as the highest level of mastery that integrated them all in a harmonious state of self-perfection. In the 49th (4+9=13) chapter of Genesis (genes of Isis), Jacob is referred to as the “blessing” and described as the fruitful bough by the well whose branches run over the wall. It takes 49 days for the pineal gland (seat of the soul) to fully develop in the fetus, which governs the sexual organs of regeneration and is the means for accessing the “well of divine knowledge” of the higher dimensions from which the soul originates. It takes at least 49 days for the soul to be reborn in another body. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead, the transition through the “death phase” of life takes 49 days to complete.

The number 7 represents a complete unit of light as well as a complete cycle necessary (7 x 7 = 49 = 13 = 4) as the means of transmigrating into a new physical body. The entire cosmic order that’s written in the stars has liberation as its basis. It always tends towards freedom of the soul from the confinement of a single personality. The most common ideal shared by all humans as a basic motivation is freedom. As we adopt an “ideal” it becomes the object of our worship and we strive to become it. Jesus represented the “ideal man” and demonstrated the path of liberation as purifying and perfecting ourselves by employing virtuous qualities as the means of creating our self. All universal wisdom reveals that the entire cosmic order is designed as a dynamic process of creative freedom. Those who develop themselves to be virtuous in nature work to liberate their own soul while also serving the greater good of all mankind. As our soul ascends to higher dimensions by way of our deeds we blaze the pathway for others to follow.

There isn’t any force in the universe that’s hostile towards man or that acts to produce insurmountable obstacles to our freedom. All universal laws, when properly understood, provide the intelligence necessary for liberating ourselves from the ignorance of our own conditioning. Fear inhibits our ability to understand and causes us to imprison our soul in illusions of our own making. We only truly love what we understand, and understanding casts out all fear. It’s only through love that all higher knowledge is revealed to us. Through a deeper understanding of the law of death, comes freedom from the fear of death. Death is what allows the passing away of old ideas allowing new ones to be born in their place, and is the instrument of growth and development as a continuous evolutionary process of becoming our highest potential.

Psychological Application

Psychologically the emphasis is on the will and our ability to choose what we focus on and dwell in mentally and emotionally. Whatever we imagine in vivid sensory detail and concentrate on we impregnate ourselves with. As we change the ideas we use to shape and define ourselves, our old conception dies allowing us to form a new one in its place, and we grow ourselves accordingly. As our body constantly undergoes a natural process of death and regeneration, we’re programming our new cells with our thoughts and perceptions. Every few years we have a completely new body. Even our skeleton completely regenerates every 7 years. With the passing away of old cells a new generation of cells are formed to take their place. In the nucleus of every cell is implanted a subconscious response to your new patterns that provide the impulse to realize a new thought in the body’s structure and how it functions. Any cells that don’t die naturally and continue to grow and multiply instead, becomes a cancer that eventually kills the whole system. Death is a necessary part of life.

Through the realization of Key 12 (the Initiate) as surrendering your lower self to a higher ideal, your personality dies and a complete transformation takes place. In reality we die daily and are constantly deciding, although usually without awareness, what is born in its place. As we go to sleep every night we die to the day that’s ending and are resurrected every morning to begin a new day. Through the natural process of cell death, all of our old motives, petty ambitions, foolish opinions and prejudices gradually die out and their memory eliminated in the normal course of physical repair and rejuvenation. Little by little through a gradual process of transformation there’s a complete adjustment of one’s personal conceptions and the values we use to give life its meaning.

As we change our perspective (Key 12) from a personal one to a more universal one, the change can be so drastic that mystics the world over have come to refer to it as the “death of the self”. It’s by death and regeneration of the body cells that patterns created in the imagination become fixed in personal consciousness. Whatever consciousness we cultivate by way of imagined thoughts are literally embedded in our flesh. Our soul’s consciousness determines our health and nature of our physical existence. We know scientifically that our genes are programmed by our perceptions and our physical world is the manifestation of our soul’s consciousness. The key to creating within the material world lies in our ability to program our own subconscious mind.

Our subconscious is the unified mind that we share with all of humanity and the natural world. Our subconscious is constantly influencing the subconscious everyone and everything around us. As we telepathically influence the mind of everyone around us, they in turn act to program their own DNA so that everything forms a unified reality in a consistent and harmonious manner.  Memory as patterns of information imprinted in the astral light of the collective unconscious is what forms all physical structures and natural behaviors. By reforming our memory, we reform our mental and physical structure in a corresponding manner. Whatever we sow, we also reap. We experience every part and perspective of a much larger group dynamic. Every life time we play a different role in the same idea and develop ourselves accordingly. Death is the reaper where we turn the tables and experience life from a new perspective.

Interpreting the Numbers

In Sacred Geometry, which is the main mathematical system of the sacred sciences, all ideas formed as a well-defined sensory reality in the imagination produce an equivalent (and opposite) material manifestation. All numbers are a kind of code as a formula of the laws operating in a situation that provide us with the means for being able to work with it consciously. The formula is the intuitive basis for understanding the operation and process of creation that’s involved. We can only utilize intelligently what we understand practically. All conscious creation comes through practical use of universal laws.

1 + 3 = 4 – This code shows us the primary laws involved that are necessary for us to utilize in order to create in a conscious and intentional manner. 1 = Monad as the “mind” exists as a mental paradigm and has the ability to select an complementary idea that it then projects into the imagination of the subconscious where it’s concentrated on and developed into a coherent physical form. 3 = Triad as the imagination, which is the faculty of the mind used to develop an idea inwardly as a thought that becomes the etheric (shaped out of light-essence) template for projecting outwardly to form a corresponding physical manifestation. 4 = Tetrad, the number that represents material reality is produced as a “reflection” of the internal idea that becomes the “lens” through which we perceive that same idea as an outer reality. Both the inner and outer material world is the manifestation of the soul’s consciousness on multiple scales and planes simultaneously.

The same process that’s used to reshape reality as a correspondence to existing memory is also used to transform it. All memory is created by imagining a situation internally as a representation (personal interpretation) of an event, which becomes a kind of metaphorical theme that’s then replayed in the imagination over and over as a primary form of programming ourselves to consistently produce more realities of the same nature. All memory that’s continuously focused on and relived in the mind’s eye forms the perceptual lens that we use as the means of interpreting (organizing) all current events to be of the same nature and meaning as past events.

We use memory as the means of creating our self and our reality to be of the same metaphorical pattern. We transform our self and our life by working directly on our memories to adjust them by introducing new information that alters their pattern into a new configuration for producing a new version of reality as an experience. As we change our perspective our perception of reality changes accordingly. In order to grow and transform ourselves, we have to give up our story about things formed by continuing to live in the past and instead work creatively to form a new one. As we begin telling a new story we change our self as the author and main character of our own story and embody new qualities that form a new image of our self and a new way of life results. It’s only by mastering death that we learn how to truly live and create.

Death is a transformation of the soul that moves from one idea to another, as well as from one plane to another. If we fail to let ideas die in order to create something new in its place, we fail to grow. As we fail to grow we fail to thrive and it causes death for the soul. Change is necessary for growth, just as death of the cells is necessary for regeneration of new cells as a means of living. Death is the foundation of life which exists in a constant movement of birthing, maturing and transforming ideas as the means of creating new experiences of reality as a natural process of growth and development into higher states of being. Fear of death comes when we mistake our soul for being the temporary manifestation of the body instead of the consciousness that’s causing and producing it.

As we surrender the lower self and personality of the body to be a vehicle and instrument of the higher soul (12), we allow the old image of ourselves to die, and form a new one as an “ideal” in its place. We form an idea about ourselves that require us to strive and stretch in order to become it. As we transform our identity by reorienting ourselves to a new perspective of a higher nature, we alter the pattern being used and alter our vibratory frequency as a result (14). By changing the internal pattern and vibrating a new frequency, we change the outer world of appearances to become a correspondence to the new internal representation being used to experience it, and we reprogram the new cells of our body being generated to express in a new way. The mind always acts to shape the body to be a direct reflection and expression of it.

The Nature of the Subconscious – The Unified Mind of the Material Plane

We often hear sayings about “oneness” and everything being one, living in unity with Nature and each other, and so on, which of course contradicts the nature of our actual experience as our perception of the outer world and others. This is largely due to the fact that most don’t have a true understanding of the nature of the “mind” and how it acts to organize, form, and animate the entire material world as a form of dynamic mental construct or matrix. This is a very important principle to grasp with a deep sense of understanding that will not only transform the way you look at the world, but will serve as a fundamental key that connects everything else in a way that makes total sense from an intuitive perspective. The most basic principle that precedes all others and acts as the means for birthing all others by laying the foundation out of which they systematically unfold, is the “trinity” as the triune, threefold nature of the mind and soul. The idea of the mind and soul are synonymous and both refer to the invisible aspect of our being out of which material reality emerges as its offspring. The mind is an aspect of the soul and can be thought of as the “organizing mechanism” or electromagnetic field that produces an etheric-material form out of memory. The soul is comprised of a dynamic living matrix of memory that’s all cohesive and is used to produce a consistent experience of reality as a relationship between all seemingly different aspects that form its constitution. As the soul moves from one plane of density to another, it propagates by dividing or halving as a means of self-generation (mitosis). All parts contain the essence as information of the whole in its potential state (holographic principle), and serve to birth it systematically on the lower plane as a growth and development process of self-expression. The higher planes contain the lower planes in their entirety and act to oversee and orchestrate them. This produces what seems like a unified reality that’s “experienced” through the fundamental principle of Polarity (Dyad). The higher soul-mind comes into the lower plane of self-awareness through the process of propagation as a subconscious mind that contains “within it” the potential of the self-conscious aspect, which it acts to birth through a growth process as a kind of awakening of the self within the material body as what we call brain consciousness. Brain consciousness perceives and experiences itself exclusively within and as a body, and identifies almost exclusively with its material existence. This forms what has typically been referred to (inappropriately) as the “ego”, with the idea of ego and identity also being synonymous as our “sense of self” born and built up through our experiences of ourselves as a specific form within the material world.

       The subconscious mind can be thought of as the feminine aspect that’s pregnant with the masculine aspect of the self-conscious (self-aware) mind. The subconscious, containing the self-conscious in its potential state, grows and evolves it through an adaptation process that modifies it according to its genetic make-up, life conditions, specific circumstances, family and environmental situation, forming a unique variation of the same essential nature. Much like the four seasons, we’re born into the world exclusively in our subconscious, which is group oriented and perceives itself as being a part of its parents and family unit, and develops completely out of an unconscious state until around 7 years old, where the self-conscious begins gradually emerging as self-awareness that perceives itself as an individual apart from parents and siblings, and comes into a fully active state at around 14. Around this age we begin thinking and making decisions for ourselves and developing our identity as an image we form of ourselves, and it becomes our dominate state at around the age of 21. As a fully mature adult, around the age of 28 (growth takes place in 7 year cycles) we are operating and functioning almost exclusively out of our masculine, self-aware consciousness, and have often lost any real awareness of our subconscious altogether. The subconscious is the same mind we share with all of Nature as instinct that’s all programmed and constructed out of the same information as what has commonly been referred to as the first or “original creation”. The one we all share in common and are a cohesive and coherent part of. This shared reality formed by the same mind as the group mind of the collective unconscious or unified (Akashic) field, lays the foundation for us as humans to continue creating out of by producing unique and personalized versions as our “perception” of it. We’re first conditioned to the reality of the group mind as society, the world, and our family units, that all form correspondences to each other as smaller fields of the same nature nested within greater fields. As our self-conscious mind comes into active expression and we begin thinking somewhat as an individual, we form a perception of the same outer reality that causes us to experience it in a new way. We don’t necessarily change the material forms themselves, but rather how they “appear to us”. What we notice and abstract and what we ignore and exclude to form a new idea about the same thing begins changing. As adults, everyone looking at the same thing or that’s a part of the same event, will see and experience it in a way that’s unique to them as their own creation. We’re always taking what exists as a universal theme as a general idea and using it as the means to create a personalized version.

        A fundamental paradox exists as polarity between higher and lower planes where they mirror each other as complementary opposites. In the lower planes, the “group mind” exists as a species where an entire group of individuals are of the same mind or programming, and act as a unified whole through habitual behaviors. The only thing that makes them different or distinguishes one from another, outside of slight genetic differences that alter their similar appearance, is their personality. They possess no actual creative ability in terms of choice and will, and don’t have a sense of self-awareness. In higher planes the opposite is true. The group mind of the Macrocosm is comprised of archetypes in their potential, unformed state, which can be used willfully to self-create as a unique individual. The object here is to use your creative capacities to create yourself in a very deliberate and intentional manner by intentionally choosing which qualities you want to develop in yourself, then, embodying them and bringing them into expression “as” you. The realm of the “gods” is a society of highly specialized and uniquely talented individuals who, because they’re completely self-contained within themselves and possess a universal identity as not being limited to form or societies ideas for them, act in a harmonious and cooperative manner to create on a larger scale. When you’re not dependent on someone or something outside of yourself to tell you who you are through the relationship you form with them, there’s no need or desire to “take” or “own” what’s not already within you. For this reason, beings of higher consciousness are highly unique as individuals and almost completely self-contained and autonomous, unaffected by the drama being played out on the lower planes. From a higher perspective of complete detachment from the passions and delusions of the lower planes as universal and non-personal in nature, one can easily impose an influence on the group mind by interacting in a way that serves the higher good of everyone involved.

Energetic Model of the Mind A vibration results from a mental construct that electrifies, animates, and organizes matter (as light-essence) into distinct patterns. We say that every “thing” moves and vibrates at a certain rate producing a natural phenomenon we perceive as reality, yet things are originally produced by the mind itself through a mental construct as thought. The mind itself is what first acts to organize light into material form in the mind’s eye of the imagination as an internal representation of an idea. As we think we turn ideas (archetypes) into internal realities. As we think by speaking to ourselves internally, we shape Astral Light into the reality inherent in the meaning of the words. Once organized into form, we magnetize them by drawing life-force into them, forming an electromagnetic field as a vibratory frequency that acts to “in-form” all outer matter to match the inner pattern. We use the thematic, symbolic inner idea as a holographic pattern to orchestrate the events of our life and how things appear to us through our perception of them. In the higher regions of consciousness, ideas exist as archetypal themes that have names. When these names are spoken internally as thought, they form internal images of the ideas as they’re conformed through the mental paradigm and personality of the individual acting as a receiver and transducer for the universal idea, forming it into a new mental image as an adaptation that modifies and shapes it into a unique formula of properties, producing a unique variation. As a mental image, it organizes light as information into an “empty shell” or vehicle for spirit as an animating force to “enter into” and give it life. The mind produces an invisible electromagnetic field that acts to organize neutral matter as particles of light (photons) into vibratory patterns (essence) as holograms.

       When an idea is concentrated on and developed into a detailed version with sensory attributes, it elicits an emotional response of the same or equivalent nature. The emotion that’s of the same nature as the idea acts as the shaping mechanism that adapts it to a specific set of conditions and circumstances as a way of expressing it appropriately within the present reality. The thought as an idea for reality stimulates and informs the etheric body (of organized stable light) which acts to operate the endocrine system of the material body with electrical impulses, to release equivalent hormones that produce and regulate the chemistry of the body to be of the same state as the idea. Thoughts stimulate emotions, which stimulate our entire nervous system and alter the chemistry of our body to match the nature of the thought and serve as a template for producing a corresponding outer reality. As we think, feel, and emote, we adjust our physical substance to actively express our thoughts through correlating behaviors and actions. As we form sensory images of reality in our imagination and form an emotional response to that reality, we simultaneously program our subconscious and send telepathic communication to the subconscious mind of everything around us, altering its state through influence, and affecting how information is organized to produce our outer perception of the same idea as a way of experiencing it. Our subconscious is “experiential in nature”, meaning it runs off of memories of actual experiences, and is emotionally driven. We form programs for our subconscious to create by vividly imagining ideas as sensory realities that are emotional in nature to produce a form of “virtual memory”. The subconscious uses memory as thematic patterns for organizing the outer world of the instinctual group mind to match the internal world of thought.

       As we concentrate on an idea, we tune ourselves to the vibration of the idea where we not only act as the receiver for more of the same type of ideas, but also become the means for expressing that idea to create a reality out of it, and create ourselves through the experience the reality provides us with. Ideas as vibratory frequencies are transmitted and received through resonance. The holographic principle operates as the same information serves to form a “theme” that expresses by producing more patterns of the same nature on multiple scales and levels simultaneously. Much like a single cell of our body programmed with the same DNA, divides and regenerates to produce “another” as a perception of itself outside of and apart from itself, and each cell of the same nature “specializes” by slightly re-configuring the same basic information in order to play a unique part in an even greater whole. The same ideas we form internally become the perceptual lens as a filtering system that we look through to perceive the same idea in the outer world as a correspondence. As we think we tune ourselves to the reality of our thoughts and “become” by way of that reality as a self-produced experience that forms a personal memory of it. The universal idea provides the parental pattern for producing an infinite number of fractal patterns of the same nature as its offspring. It resonates with the same information as complementary patterns in the outer world, and through sympathy re-configures the information it’s comprised of, changing how it appears to us as our perception of it. All of what we call reality is based on our perception of it. Everyone lives in a slightly different reality of their own making.

We are All One So to say we’re “all one” exists, like all ideas, as a dual-polar idea that forms a fundamental paradox. We are all of the same group mind of the subconscious that’s a fundamental part of the same universal reality. Like the plants and animals, we’re a part of a species that lives out of an unconscious state whose only sense of individuality comes as differences in our personality. Where we act as a mindless, instinctual vessel for whatever idea we’re given as a form of teaching or entertainment, where we act in a harmonized manner as a group to produce the same reality as a culture and society. Where there’s no actual individuality or true creativity and we’re simply given ideas that we express automatically and live out of as the means of creating ourselves. In the lower, material planes of density, the universal mind expresses as a group through a basic form of instinct born out of a primary unconscious state that lacks any true awareness of itself apart from the group. At the same time, as humans, we are all a part of a higher kingdom of creative intelligence that operates willfully to create the individual. This is the realm of archetypes that are used as qualities and characteristics in different formulas that form a unique variation that expresses to create a unique reality. This idea is illustrated in the Zodiac as qualities and attributes that we all share in varying degrees and measure as universal consciousness that we’re all a part of. The realm of the higher mind of self-awareness, choice, and will, we draw from the universal to produce the individual as a unique, self-created version. In this level we exist apart from the group consciousness in the fundamental sense, and do not create ourselves based on others and our environment, but based exclusively on what we choose to draw into us from within. We think for ourselves, form our own decisions, consciously and deliberately direct our actions, and cultivate autonomy in everything we do. Here we are fully responsible for who we are, what we do, and who we become. There is no emotion to control or influence our thoughts, forming illusions in place of objective reality. We don’t experience guilt, shame, anger, joy, arousal, seduction, and the various forms of passions and desire that plague the material realm and act in a subliminal way to control and determine us through emotional states, perceptions, and actions that they serve to form.

        These two worlds exist as a fundamental part of our nature represented by both the subconscious group mind and the self-conscious individual mind. The two aspects of the mind we have come to refer to as the heart and brain consciousness, or feelings and intellect, both of which are an inherent part of higher consciousness in an equilibrated state of harmony. In higher consciousness, objective intelligence forms all of our natural and self-initiated behaviors. We’re always programming our subconscious mind with thoughts that are undistorted by passions and desires. In this state, we’re aware that the outer awareness is simply witnessing and experiencing the material reality of inner awareness produced by the subconscious. Here we operate according to the universal laws that govern both planes and use the masculine intellect to impregnate the feminine sensory mind to produce material reality as their offspring. We realize fully that what we’re witnessing and experiencing as the outer reality is produced by our own imaginary thoughts concentrated on consistently with emotional intensity. All of us as humans, with no exceptions, create our own experiences of what we call reality based on the thoughts and feelings we’ve been programmed with and continue to think about repetitively. Most of which are purely a product of our own conditioning and our tendency to live out of reactive emotional states and primal needs. Most people have been given all their thoughts by someone else through a form of teaching and learning that they mistake as being their own and therefore original as a result. This is because the subconscious works by adapting ideas to the ever-changing outer world to produce corresponding variations of them. We mistake these variations of modified ideas as being original and self-generated. They’re only self-generated (as heart and brain function) as a repetition and replaying the same memories over and over producing endless variations of the same idea as possible applications to unique conditions and circumstances.

       Truly original thoughts only come from higher realms where originality exists as the potential for creating within the lower planes of instinct. They come through a process of “tuning into and downloading information” as ideas that were not and could not be produced out of your personal memory base. We tune into these ideas in the ether as the unified archetypal field of higher consciousness by concentrating on an idea and thinking about it in an in-depth manner, or by wondering about something. As we “wonder” we inquire as a form of questioning and desire to know that connects us to the answer, which is the polar opposite of the same idea. As we concentrate with an open, curious mind (that doesn’t take an attitude of already knowing), we penetrate the depths of the known world and enter into the unknown, where ideas spontaneously reveal themselves to us by unfolding in our mind’s eye. Whatever we form a desire for and seek out, we tune ourselves too internally and connect with that same idea externally. Ideas come to us as a form of inspiration that brings deeper insights into their true meaning and potential for applying to create realities. We act as the receiver for information and knowledge that existed outside of our paradigm and stored memories. In this manner mysteries are penetrated, secrets become known, and we touch on the unknown through the inner faculty of our own mind. We become the means through which higher knowledge comes into the world. We connect to our true origins as higher beings capable of impregnating material form with higher knowledge to create in a truly original and novel way. Vesica Pisces – The Law of Relationship, Birth, and Reformation

The Vesica Pisces is what’s called the “womb of life”, and is represented in sacred geometry as the Dyad, and in other symbolic systems as the Yin and Yang, or masculine and feminine aspects of a greater whole. The Dyad, symbolized as a Monad or mind-sphere that separates (or regenerates) from itself, and projects outward to form the illusion or appearance of itself as another, as someone or something outside of and a part from itself that it then enters into relationship with as a means of experiencing and thereby knowing itself. The Monad, as a single sphere or energy field vibrating at a specific frequency, enters into relationship with everything outside of itself that’s of the same frequency, and through the interaction of “like qualities”, develops itself through those shared qualities by producing experiences of itself “as those qualities”, applied, and reformulated to form a new variation.

The mind (represented as the Monad – circle with a dot in the center) is a field of subtle energy that vibrates at a specific frequency. A frequency is a cluster of interwoven smaller frequencies that are all correlated, coherent and complementary in nature, and act through an accumulative affect to form a quality and level of consciousness. All subtle energy as vibration is consciousness as qualities that propagate as ideas, thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions, that are all of the same corresponding nature, and act to bring the invisible (idea) into a visible, sensory experience as its expression. The individual mind, which vibrates at a specific frequency, has a self-organizing mechanism inherent in it, that acts to stimulate matter in such a way that it brings out and emphasizes some qualities and aspects, while causing other to go dormant or recede and fade into the background, unnoticed. It does this automatically by perceiving the outer world and forming a unique interpretation of it based on what matches  and is therefore “turned on”, and what doesn’t and is thereby “turned off”, in much the same way DNA formulates a new pattern as a selection of physical characteristics out of two strands of complementary features and information, forming an offspring that’s comprised of complementary aspects of both parents to form a unique individual. Our mind operates along this same principle in how the internal nature stimulates and reformulates the outer reality, forming it into a new pattern as a variation based on complementary aspects.

The Dyad, which represents the one dividing to become two, and creating the appearance of another as an outer reality that’s comprised of the same frequency or consciousness as the inner self (represented by the inner dot), which exists on the outer periphery of both, forms an interference pattern as the overlapping area, which is then reformulated into a new combination, by canceling out some shared features, while enhancing and intensifying others, forms the Vesica Pisces as the womb or portal out of which emerges an actual material reality as the complementary opposite of the internal reality that’s combining with it and reforming it. The outer reality takes on it’s appearance based on the mind perceiving it. How it appears is organized through a natural process of selection and rejection, at the energetic, vibratory level. This action of the inner on the outer is naturally produced by our “perceptual lens” which forms an interpretation as an individual form of expression that reorders the elements of the outer world to take on the same patterns and living forms as the inner world. The inner world of the individual mind, exists in relationship with the greater mind of the external world, and perceives in it only what matches and can be produced by the paradigm (patterning as a holographic model) that’s interacting with it.

The outer material world exists as the greater mind that has all vibratory frequencies inherent in it as pure potential. What is activated, brought out, and formed into one potential as a possibility is based on the interaction as resonance with the individual mind existing in relationship with it. This new reality as “how things appear” to the individual doesn’t literally change the outer material world as seen by others, but only as seen by the individual perceiving it. Because of this, in order to change how the outer world appears to us, and the nature of how we experience it, we have to change the mind as out inner world that’s acting on it to create it. As we change ourselves, we simultaneously change how we perceive, and what appearance things take on as a correspondence. We see in the outside world only what corresponds and is of the same nature as the inside world. By working directly with our mind as our internal nature, we change how we experience the outer world. All transformation comes from the inside out by alternating our vibratory frequency as our character and internal nature.

Our mind, which is synonymous with our soul, is formed based on qualities that we integrate through practice and the experience it brings. Qualities as states of consciousness, or states of mind, that are embodied and intentionally employed, form our perceptual lens that we look through and determines what we see and act naturally to “bring out” in everything around us, changing how it appears to us, and creating an experience of ourselves as “being” that way. Through the experience of being a certain way, we acquire that experience as memory that’s integrated through the actual experience of it, and serves to shape our character by way of it. Our character as our inner nature and way of being, is our vibratory signature, and expresses by forming the outer world to be the stage for the story our character naturally tells. Our character as our way of being, is what produces our “story” as a consistent and ongoing form of experience where regardless of what the actual outer circumstances and events, we restructure them to create a consistent experience of the world.

Our mind vibrates at a specific frequency as a quality of consciousness that perceives the outer world through an interpretation that makes it mean something, and then, based on the meaning we give it, we tell ourselves a story about it, and through our own story, first birthed through our vibratory paradigm, we create our experience of it, that then shapes us through our own self-created experience. This self-creation as self-expression, keeps us locked into the same vibratory frequency, often throughout our lifetime (or many lifetimes), because we don’t realize the power of our own mind in producing our experience of reality, and because it comes as an experience of the outer world, we imagine it’s happening “to us” instead of “by us”. We think that in order for us to change, we feel a victim to our circumstances, and often helpless to change them, because we don’t realize it’s an effect, and not a cause. What happens in life as a greater reality is beyond our control and not being produced by us, and so, when we work in our own life to try and change others or our outer circumstances, we continue having the same type of experience, and we’re left realizing we have no control over what goes on outside of ourselves, but we have absolute control over what goes on inside of us, we have only to become aware of it, and practice managing our own state.

The outer reality as we perceive it, acts as a mirror for the inner reality and serves to show us, through direct experience, hidden (unknown) aspects of our own nature. Everything we naturally “see in others”, and our environment, also exists in us, that’s why we’re seeing it and able to produce an experience of it. Whatever we see (perceive) we act to stimulate (resonate), awaken and make active, and “bring out” in everything else, then shape it into a dynamic as a story-line being enacted by how we interact with it to co-create it. We produce the natural behaviors of our perceptions, and how we’re being with people, how we treat them, the nature and attitude of the interaction (relationship) itself, creates our experience of them, and develops them through those qualities to “be that way” in relationship with us. Perception is resonance that can only enter into and effect what’s of the same vibration. As it enters into (is absorbed) that same quality of consciousness in others, effecting them by making it active and bringing it out in them, shows us, in no uncertain terms, what quality as a way of being we’re actively expressing through. Our active properties stimulate those same properties in them, making them active in response to us. This mirrors back to us our own characteristics as a behavioral dynamic that’s formed by a thematic story-line. Because this is all happening at the subconscious level, meaning we have no direct awareness of what we’re actually doing, or the power of our own mind to produce subjective experiences of what seems like an outer reality, we often don’t realize what it’s showing us about ourselves, we don’t realize our power to transform through influence that reformulates character traits.

Once we realize that the outer world is taking on the appearance of the inner world, and understand it as showing us what our soul’s vibratory signature is, what story we’re always in the process of telling by how we rearrange the elements available to form our pattern, we can begin working with our own unconscious tendencies to reformulate them by intentionally deciding to, then employing the complementary and opposite qualities that will recognize our own paradigm and develop our character to different means. Once we’re able to see ourselves in the full light of day, and we realize we’re always the one creating our experiences of life, we can begin effectively transforming our own mind by reprogramming ourselves to new qualities and ways of being. When we can see ourselves clearly, gain realization around and fully own our own tendencies, we can change by simply deciding to and working with counteracting and counterbalancing qualities.

All vibration as a pattern, exists in polarity as complementary opposites that form a progressive scale that moves from one extreme to another, as positive and negative aspects of the same overall idea. When we are expressing negative traits that are destructive and detrimental to our well-being and happiness, we can act to transform them by employing their opposing counterpart that’s complementary in nature. Hatred and prejudice can be counterbalanced and transformed by intentionally employing reverence and compassion in its place. Whereas hatred sees only differences and judges based on those differences, love sees only what’s similar and seeks always to understand. By intentionally entering into a new state as a quality of consciousness that forms a different relationship with others and the outer world, we form a new relationship with ourselves, and begin cultivating new aspects of ourselves in place of the old and through the experience they bring, we begin reshaping ourselves by way of employing a new vibration.

All reality is born out of a relationship between the individual and the universal, the inner and the outer, the masculine and the feminine, producing an offspring as a new combination of shared qualities. Consciousness as vibration, only resonates with the same vibration in everything else, and forms a consistent experience of reality as consistent variations of that pattern or theme. To change our experience of life, others, and the outer world, we have to first change the vibration of our own mind and inner nature. As we think and imagine we create our own experiences of the outer world as a correspondence to our thoughts. The elements of the outer world itself doesn’t change, just what we “see in it” changes. Other people don’t change, we change how we enter into relationship with them, and as a result, our perception of them changes.

If, for example, we employ a general theme of thinking other people are stupid, then we only see in them what can be made into “stupid”, or we interpret any number of behaviors to mean they’re stupid. This naturally comes from the fact that we were made to feel stupid somehow as part of our conditioning, which we build defensive mechanisms around, and one of the ways we prove to ourselves and others that we’re not stupid is by making other people more stupid than we are, or we interpret the same behaviors in them as being stupid that we employed when we were told that we were stupid. Anytime we deny and refuse to own something about ourselves, we project it onto others, and see it in them instead. Because we always awaken in others the same tendencies we ourselves possess, if we simply observe our own tendencies as judgements of various sorts in an objective and detached manner, we can see clearly hidden aspects of ourselves that we’re in denial of, because all perception is projection. All reality (tetrad) as we can know it is produced by the projection (dyad) of our own mind (monad). Whatever reality we create inwardly becomes the thematic template for how we reorganize the outer world as a correspondence.

The Goal of Meditation – Personal Transformation by Becoming One with God

Meditation, as a practice, works off the same principles as trance and hypnosis, and serves the same overall purpose. When we meditate, we completely relax our body while withdrawing all consciousness from it, and we lose awareness of our physical existence. We calm and silence our thoughts and enter into a purely inner state that’s spacious and calm. This is the experience of rendering the conscious mind (active thinking mind) passive and latent, while bringing the subconscious into an active and dominant state. We switch roles, so to speak, of what is inherent in our normal waking state. The subconscious, unlike the conscious, acts as a passive vessel for ideas to be planted in that it gestates, grows, and brings into expression as an experience of reality. This is much like a suggestion that’s given while in a hypnotic trance that’s not resisted, but readily taken in, and allowed to take hold, then developed in the imagination by thinking about it.

The whole process of personal transformation as intentional growth and development of latent potential, comes through a form of ‘programming’ or introducing new information into the subconscious, which accepts it, and uses it to re-inform the mind in terms of our mental paradigm, which simultaneously alters how the body functions and behaves, and it becomes a natural part of our being. All energies are polar in nature as active and passive components of a single entity, and move back and forth between active and passive states. Whichever one is active, the other resumes the passive position. They can’t both be active at the same time. This same principle applies to parallel dimensions of what we call higher and lower planes, and when our mind is active on the material plane, the spiritual plane, complementary companion to the material, is rendered passive and inactive. By putting our physical mind in a passive state, it not only activates the spiritual plane of the universal mind, but becomes the receptacle for the thoughts and ideas that are transmitted between planes.

By making our physical self a passive receiver, knowledge as ideas can be directly injected into the subconscious mind. Conception takes place where we are impregnated with knowledge as a mental transmission. This acts much like a germinal process, and the idea, once planted, begins growing and budding as an adaption to the individual mind that’s acting as the means for it to express through. All germinal processes occur in the darkness as the early stages of mental unfoldment with a genesis of ideas, rather than being received in a fully developed state. Once planted, and allowed to germinate, they are developed into full ideas by the active forces of the individual mind conceiving them. We are always required to use our creative capacity of imagined thought to develop ideas as our own. Meditation polarizes us to the higher planes where knowledge comes in as an unbroken flow of information about a particular object or subject.

In purely practical terms, meditation is the only truly safe method of self-regeneration. It draws nerve energy up from the reproductive centers without any fixation of attention on the centers themselves or visualization process for intentionally drawing it up, and without any thought about sexual functions. Meditation directs the currents of solar force by acts of self-conscious attention. This forms an axiom as the fluid channel between higher and lower dimensions, and is the means through which “above” seeds and impregnates that which is below, and is the principle represented in the saying “as above, so below, in the wondrous operations of the One thing”. Meditation opens the channel for knowledge to flow freely into the subconscious mind, through what’s called the “axis mundi”, traditionally illustrated by a tubular funnel or wormhole-like tunnel, or the trunk of a tree, that connects the upper branches (air-intellect) with the root system (fertile earth) which forms as a symmetrical reflection of it.

Meditation also requires, and therefore acts to develop, intense concentration, which is a necessary faculty of the mind for the activity that leads to the discovery of difficult and elusive modes of truth. This fosters natural intelligence as the awareness of the hidden mysteries in Nature. This is how the great occult powers of the Adepts are developed through intense concentration and prolonged meditation. All innate powers of the soul are developed through meditative states that act to work directly through the subconscious mind, which is the aspect of the mind that governs and creatively utilizes the elements of the material plane to self-actualize skills and abilities through natural behaviors that are a part of our primary perception, and manifest a corresponding material reality by rearranging it through resonance.

Meditation brings us into contact with the subtle force as the strength whereby the inner beast is tamed, not by active force or willed action, but through the impregnation of truth that grows inside until it ultimately gives birth. All personal expression comes through utilizing the universal knowledge of archetypes and embodying the proper states of mind necessary to fluently express in the outer world as an ‘original idea’. Meditation unveils the mysteries of Nature to the enlightened seer, by revealing the inner nature of things that’s producing the outer appearance and motivating the behaviors it naturally displays. The active force of the self-conscious mind (thinker) in a passive state becomes the witnessing faculty of the mind, and doesn’t exert an influence or control over incoming information, but merely “watches it” as it spontaneously unfolds before it. In this way, we act to receive knowledge that we are entirely unaware of in the normal sense, and are educated from purely internal sources instead of external ones.

Meditation is symbolically represented in Spiritual Sciences by the 8-pointed star, which forms a wheel, circle, or sphere that’s the symbol of spirit. The form the ideas take on and play out resembles a clear essence as the substance of stars which is a translucent, gaseous fluid of an almost ghost-like nature. These impressionistic images, often resemble the ‘nebula’ in space that accompany star-systems as their raw emanation and ultimate substance that’s ‘charged’ and coagulated to take shape as various life-forms. Often we have the “experience of seeing”, even though there’s no actual (material-sensory) image. Sometimes actual forms are not involved at all, and it comes as more of a silent knowing that shows you something about and idea or object you didn’t know before.  Much like a deeper form of thinking that’s penetrating and feeling oriented. In all of our creative work we’re working with an actual force that has definite forms of expression, and meditation modifies and transmutes this cosmic energy into physical expression. This energy comes into expression as a nerve-force that stimulates the body, altering and producing a personal expression of a distinct character. This control of nerve-force works through the seven inner stars, which correspond with the seven colors of the spectrum, the seven major metals, the seven planets of the zodiac, and the seven notes of the musical scale, infusing life with a distinct personality and set of behaviors as their mode of expression, all originating from a purified state of original ideas.

Meditation always focuses on a state of mind as a quality of consciousness that naturally undergoes modes of operation as a natural form of self-expression, and recognizes natural laws as an interconnected larger process. It works by creating the “experience of it”, so you become the vibration of it. When we induce a relaxed state and turn all of our attention inward and concentrate on inner feelings as an actual experience being produced within us, we arouse the activity of corresponding centers, without any danger of becoming energetically congested, which is what often happens when we work with our own system in an intentional, though somewhat uneducated manner. This is how we gain knowledge of the universal science from a direct and pure source, unadulterated of personal interpretation by someone else, by concentrating on a quality of consciousness as a “state”, which has a natural form and mode of operation inherent in it that ensues from it spontaneously. Out of “states” come entire realities as the expression of the characteristics it infuses matter with.  All spiritual knowledge comes in a unified form that “shapes us” (our character) by blending and becoming one with it, modifying our character to be of the same nature and therefore ideal for expressing it in the world. We acquire knowledge by “becoming” it in form (mind and body).

Meditation is therefore the ideal way to transform yourself, because the qualities you’re conceiving within you, as primal (formative) knowledge that simultaneously shapes your character, is of a pure nature and straight from a higher, spiritual source. This is the most basic form of “God’s Will be done through you”, where we put our own anxieties and desires aside, and become a neutral vessel for higher powers to work through. We consciously connect to a higher source while becoming a passive vessel for information to be downloaded into, reforming our mind through the integration of becoming one with it, and it “shapes our character” to be like it in consciousness, and out of that state-of-being . . . we naturally express and create in very specific ways.

The Law of Polarity – The Relationship between Higher (Spirit) and Lower (Material) Planes

The idea of higher and lower planes are multiple aspects that exist in a unified state and operate as what appears to be a single entity. All unified states exist in a primary state of polarity as what we traditionally call electro-magnetic, masculine-feminine, yin-yang, inner-outer, visible-invisible, upper-lower, and so on. Polar opposites of the same thing that form as extremes that never meet or touch, yet are held together in a unified manner. Electromagnetism, for example, forms a natural ‘spiral’ as two forces that simultaneously attract and repel, never actually touch or meet, yet act together to form equilibrium as a stabilized field that’s in constant motion. The most fundamental nature of matter, is comprised of particles ‘held together’ and revolving around an oppositely charged center by ‘invisible forces’. An atom is as much, if not more invisible as visible. The visible is always structured into patterns and held together in a unified manner by the invisible aspects of the same vibratory frequencies. Matter and spirit are opposites of the same thing, existing at different densities and on different planes or dimensions. Matter is the passive (feminine) aspect of spirit, which is the active force that animates and vibrates matter with qualities that form characteristics, which together, produce a unique personality with natural behaviors. The mind is the invisible consciousness that accompanies the body and gives it “life”. Without the mind, the body would die and disintegrate, no longer held together and animated in an active state.

 

The mind itself, synonymous with the soul, divides and becomes polar when entering into the “lower physical plane”, as what we call the subconscious and self-conscious aspects of the individual mind. The subconscious is what gives life to the body by systematically running all biological processes of the body in an automated fashion, in which the self-conscious is almost entirely unaware of. Our body functions perfectly without any thought process or need to direct and control it on our part. Likewise, the conscious mind lives outside of the body for the most part, and is nearly always busy thinking about stuff that has nothing to do with the body, outside of how it uses the body to create an image of itself by associating and identifying with the body. The conscious mind has the ability to directly influence the subconscious mind, and is constantly doing so just through the nature of its thinking, but seldom does so with any awareness or intention, and instead, we have a tendency to allow the subconscious to run our thoughts and create all of our life experiences out of memories of the past as an automated feature of the subconscious.

The subconscious mind of the body, when in an active state, controls the conscious mind which resumes a passive state, and simply ‘thinks’ in an automated fashion by repeating patterns as memories of some form. Likewise, when the conscious mind is in an active and therefore creative state, the body resumes a passive mode and acts as the vehicle for thought by bringing it into expression through correlating activity and behaviors. Whichever aspect of the self is active, the other one acts as its passive component. They’re never both active at the same time, and in an ideal situation, switch back and forth based on what needs to be utilized at any given moment.

 

The mind as the soul or invisible double and companion to the body, when active and dominant, is creative in nature. The body, when active, rendering the soul passive, lacks creativity in the most fundamental sense, and is simply a receptor for thought, and instead of creating in new and novel ways, acts out of memory as existing patterns or thematic ideas that are repeated producing the same “type of experiences” over and over, altered only by how they’re adapted to unique situations and circumstances. When we reside in body-consciousness as our general frame of reference, we are unconscious in the most basic sense of the word, and “create” out of past memories and conditioned tendencies. While in body-consciousness, we act only to “take in” the thoughts and ideas of others, while accepting them as our own, and whatever we’ve been taught, or by observing what’s being demonstrated in our external environment, all of which act to “program us” (condition) according to the mindset and type of thoughts. We become a conduit for other people’s will, and we’re shaped and determined by outside forces. Because of this we fail to become a unique individual – the creative aspect of your own mind – and instead become “like others”. We fail almost entirely to “think for ourselves” and act instead as a mindless vessel for others.

If, however, we choose to step into and embrace our ability to self-create by empowering our own mind, we have to learn how to keep the body in a passive state, which is what activates our higher, creative mind. This process is what meditation is built on, and provides us with the process for doing it. In meditation, we start by relaxing the body and withdrawing consciousness from it. In a fully relaxed state, we lose direct awareness of our body, and our bodily activity which primarily result from emotions, anxiety and stress, are no longer prompting and controlling our thoughts, and we enter into a calm inner space, that becomes a receptor for the thoughts and ideas of the higher mind which exists independent of the body. In a passive and receptive state, we’re able to witness our own mind as a kind of neutral and objective knowledge that’s not personal in any way, and does not stem from our own mental paradigm as the regurgitation of past ideas in an attempt to generate new ideas. It comes as brand new knowledge, which, when allowed to enter fully, take hold, and begin unfolding, reveals to us a whole new awareness around commonly held ideas. We clearly ‘see things’ that we were never able to see before. Because we see new ideas from an inner perspective, and use them to ‘look through’ in order to comprehend the outer world or previously held ideas as beliefs, we are transformed by them. Once we become aware, we’re always aware. Once an awakening of some form takes place, we never go back to sleep in regards to it. We see it in terms of how it operates in the most ordinary sense as part of our everyday life, and we begin seeing things in a whole new light.

 

This higher knowledge as brand new ideas come to us through an inward experience that “re-informs” our subconscious mind which accepts it as an actual experience, because of course it is, and it becomes an inherent part of our psychological make-up and serves to transform our mental and emotional paradigm, and how and what we perceive as going on in the outer world. It’s only through a paradigm shift as an inner realization that brings new forms of awareness that our outer life changes accordingly. The mind acts to re-inform the body, not through intellectual theories that are “self-generated” or an extension of learned behavior, but rather through knowledge that’s received through a direct inner experience as a “living reality”. Theory only provides the basis for experimentation to produce a reality as an experience of it. The lower mind is only capable of “taking in” (acting as a vehicle for) information from external sources, and attempting to conceptualize them as an actual reality in order to “prove them”. Yet, all true knowledge comes from internal sources as a reality that’s comprehended through a direct and immediate internal experience of it.

The confusion comes from the inherent paradox and belief that our body is our true self or concrete mind, out of which we seemingly generate “unique thoughts”, when in fact, we’re simply using the thoughts we’ve acted as a receptor for from other people and the conditioning of our formative years and primary education. When in our lower, bodily (concrete) mind, we’re always borrowing and accepting thoughts from other people. The lower mind doesn’t have the “creative faculty”, only the higher mind does that accompanies the lower mind. When in our higher mind, our body acts as a physical conduit, and is still “receiving ideas” from “another source”, which comes, not from the outer external plane, but from an internal, invisible plane. We don’t have to use our mind to formulate them into a conceptualized reality by imagining them. When acquiring knowledge from a higher, non-personal source, it’s given to us (conceived) as a whole reality or idea, and no effort on our part is required. In fact, effort on our part only serves to corrupt and distort it. All we have to do is “witness” it internally (being a passive receptor) as it reveals itself to us. We learn by watching it in our minds eye. Though it’s not tangible in outer sensory terms, it has a heightened sense of “realness” through the inner senses of feeling, emotion, and beauty that are used instead to perceive it. We have an intimate and pronounced experience of it, and because of this, we “know it”. By acting as a neutral receiver for it internally, we become one with it, and know it through ourselves. It inspires a sense of awe, wonder, and mystery, and we feel a deep love for it. The love we feel in response to it anchors and magnifies it, and creates a deep inner longing for more . . . .

Meditation – The Acquisition of Knowledge and Penetrating Deeper Levels of Reality

Learning how to Exercise the Powers of our own Mind

When we use the term “meditation”, who knows exactly what it means, because like all words and ideas it means different things to different people. Some perceive it as stopping all thought as internal dialogue or calming the “talking mind”, others call it blending into the void (nothingness) and emptying the mind, which is kind of the same idea, others achieve it through chanting or repeating a sound or word as a mantra (which is a basic method of trance induction); and others may be completely confused or unsure of what it means. Yet, all of these ideas are true and untrue at the same time. Meditation, which is a form of trance or self-hypnosis, is primarily a calming or stilling of the internal dialogue (self-conscious mind) as the fluttery,  jumping from one subject to the next, or the type of thought that’s automatic, uncontrolled, and runs on and on about stuff in a repetitive manner like a “broken record”, stuck on replay, and instead forms a calm and passive state of mind and through a deepened state of concentration, enters into a singular mind with the idea or concept being concentrated on. Through this single-mindedness of becoming one with an idea, we penetrate that idea or enter into it as it (resonance), giving it life inside of us by thinking about it in terms of what we already know about it, which initiates and unfolding process, much like a growth process, which continues unfolding beyond the boundaries set by our current perception, where we attain knowledge of it by simply witnessing or observing it as it continues to unfold, revealing it’s secrets to us, allowing us to “attain knowledge” by being in a passive and receptive (trance) state.

It’s only through this passive state of simply focusing on and observing an idea in motion inside of us that we’re not acting to control, that we truly learn through direct experience. Anytime we’re in a controlled state of only thinking about what we already know or believe we know, and controlling the idea to fit our idea about it, we can’t readily perceive anything outside of it. While we’re in control of our thinking, we can only perceive (produce) more of the same type of thinking. When, however, we fixate our mind on an idea, and penetrate it by concentrating on it in a single-minded fashion, stimulating it into motion within us as a kind of growth process of deepening into its internal nature, we “see” it as it actually is, apart from us (not modifying it with our active mind). As we move into it with a neutral and unbiased mind it begins moving inside of us as a living force, and begins revealing its true nature to us. We then attain knowledge of it by simply observing it as it forms and moves within our mind as a living idea.

Anytime we become fully present and engage in an activity with full awareness as concentration, free of distractions or thoughts that replace and cover over or modify our actual experience, we are in a meditative state. When we practice constant meditation by becoming fully present with what we are doing, and we become one with our experience of the present activity or idea we’re engaged in, we form realization around it that brings a new awareness of it that went unnoticed with a half-minded state of constant distraction and mental preoccupation that prevents us from being in the present. By being present and concentrating our attention on what we’re doing and our experience in doing it, we attain constant realizations that eluded us whenever we weren’t paying attention. Many people as a general rule can spend the better part of their life never present with what they’re doing and how they’re being, but rather caught up in a constant thought process that has nothing to do with what they’re doing. Because of this human tendency to be consumed by a wandering, fluttery, spaced out mind, we can live the better part of our life from an unconscious delusional state. Because of this, we fail to learn and grow from our experiences, and simply run the same type of thoughts over and over, creating our current experiences out of delusions or beliefs of the past, and failing to learn through realization only obtained in the present.

A state of meditation, comes from our ability to control our mind, stay focused in the present, and penetrate ideas born out of our daily practices as concentration on the now. All true knowledge as an inner realization only comes to us through direct experience. It’s our experiences obtain with an open mind that show us the true nature of things. Our mind, through concentrated attention void of verbal thinking, or superimposing a belief over the present experience changing it, and simply being present with it, observing and experiencing it as it is, attains knowledge “of it” through self-awareness. All knowledge comes to us by becoming “one with an idea”, and perceiving it by being it. By being the mode through which it expresses, we perceive it “as us”. We become the channel through which it becomes realized as an inner experience or realization.

This penetrative quality of the mind that learn by entering into, uniting with, and becoming the same as (vibration, sympathetic induction, and coherence), can be easily understood through extended practices of deep concentration on an idea, free from all distractions and the need to “control the idea” with preconceived notions. By thinking about an idea with a singular mind, we resonate with it, enter into it, become the same as it, and learn about it from within it or within us. By “being the same as it” in body, mind, and spirit. By taking on the same quality and consciousness. We perceive it by conceiving of it (allowing it to impregnate us). We understand it from the perspective of being within it or having it within us, by experiencing it through our mind. In this way, all learning as the realization of truth comes as an inner process of concentrated thought which acts as a “receptor”. Our mind has the ability to enter into (sympathize with) ideas, and gain knowledge of them from the inside out. We become one with its consciousness, and understand it by observing its reality from the same mind-set.

So we don’t necessarily meditate to control or stop thinking and blend into a void or nothingness, which is only the initial stage of meditation that frees the mind from random thoughts that distract it, scattering its power to concentrate, but rather as the means for inducing a trance state that removes the conscious mind (talking mind) from its normal state of dominance, rendering it passive and inactive, and making the passive and receptive subconscious (experiential) mind dominant and active instead. Once we calm the sporadic automatic thoughts, creating an empty spaciousness as an open arena, we can introduce an idea into our mind as a kind of seed with hidden potential, and grow it by giving it our full, undivided attention. Through concentration we penetrate it, activate it, become the same as it in mind and body, and gain realization of it by being one with it (within us). We gain “knowledge of it” through the self-realization of being the same as it. Through focused concentration on a single idea for extended periods of time, we know it inside and out, and it becomes a permanent part of us. We incorporate it into our mind (paradigm) as an experience, which becomes memory. Once we form a memory of it as a direct experience of it, it can be recalled and referenced, and exists as an inherent and natural part of us. We only “attain” knowledge, as self-knowledge through exercising the concentrative powers of our mind (will).

By concentrating our attention on an idea, becoming one with it, we become the same as it, vibrate at the same level of consciousness, and readily perceive that same consciousness of the idea in everyone and everything around us. Once we “know and understand” an idea, it’s fully integrated into our paradigm or mental structure, which forms the lens and filtering system that we look through to perceive everything else. Once we know by becoming the same as, forming a memory of it as our soul’s structure, we resonate with that idea, no matter what form it takes on in everything around us. It becomes a natural part of us and helps form our understanding of everything else. Our experiences become memory which inform us by giving us instant interpretations of what appears to be random information (organizes everything into coherent patterns). Once we attain a memory of something, the knowledge in that memory remains apart of us and is instantly recalled and associated as a part of our normal mental processes of perceiving ourselves (the same structures) in everything external to us. Meditation is the method of learning through direct internal experience of the internal nature of the idea itself (soul-to-soul), where we become fixated on, and experience it from within us as an inherent part of us.

How Science becomes an Art – Integrating Knowledge through Active Practice

The only way we attain knowledge and become truly knowledgeable, is by developing ideas to the point where they can be brought into practice somehow in our daily life. We become the vehicle through which knowledge expresses in the world by becoming “one with it”, and acquiring it through the experience of it. By applying and utilizing knowledge as a practice of some sort, we develop it into a behavior that forms an experience of it, that not only “proves” it through the application as an experiment, but allows us to gain insights where we can modify the basic idea, correcting any errors in the idea, in order to utilize it to create the results it claims to produce. We can only know the validity of ideas through experimentation that applies them to create at the material level, where we then “experience” the knowledge through a form of self-realization.

 
The practical application developed through consistent application, forms it into a memory that systematically programs the subconscious mind through the memory as an actual behavior that becomes a natural tendency or built in skill as a natural part of our mental paradigm. We only truly integrate the knowledge through experimentation that produces an experience of it by blending into it and becoming the vehicle through which it comes into the world. By embodying and imagining it as a working concept, we use it as a patterning to direct our behaviors and activities that transforms it as an inner reality into an outer reality, that is then absorbed and synthesized by the mind, upgrading the mental model of the mind through the incorporation of it as a natural perception and way of feeling and thinking, and through the acquired set of behaviors that it naturally employs in order to create it.

Knowledge that’s held at the theoretical level, never tested and applied to ensure its validity, remains a theory, and is not integrated into our paradigm as an experience and behavior of some kind, and is therefore NOT actually acquired, nor carried forward as an essential part of our “self”. We only truly know what we can do, and demonstrate. To say that spiritual knowledge exists only in the spiritual realm, and can’t be meaningfully applied to the material realm through practical application, isn’t true, and merely demonstrates a lack of understanding in terms of what spiritual knowledge is. It’s an error in how we perceive the relationship of the spiritual (invisible forces) with the material (visible forces). The basic fact that underlies all reality is that the spiritual as vibration forms patterns as ideas that organize the form the material world takes on, which determines how it functions and behaves, and what processes it naturally undergoes. While many think the spiritual (invisible energy) is symbolic of the material, actually the opposite is true, and the material exists as the symbolic form of the spiritual. The energetic vibration is what shapes matter into forms, while also imbuing it with consciousness as a form of personality that “operates” it.

 
Knowledge itself, as ideas, which enter the mind as inspired insights, and are developed by the mind into conceptualized ideas, are principles and laws as archetypal ideas, that are exceedingly applicable by lending themselves to an infinite number of adaptations, each of which produce the basic idea in a new form as a variation of the original idea, which is objective, metaphorical, and universal in nature. All spiritual knowledge as laws can only be truly known and understood through practices of some form. The only “theory” in spiritual knowledge lies in gaining a fundamental understanding of the laws involved, which is necessary for utilizing and applying them to develop the routine practices of your daily life. By practicing and using these laws to create, you learn them through the experience of them as self-realization. This realization allows you to immediately identify the same laws being played out through a variety of practices and creative processes, regardless of what form they take on, and this ability to identify law by perceiving it from the perspective of experiencing it, develop our intuitive capacities which “receive” the information as a direct experience of it.

 
By entering into an idea, becoming one with it, having an intimate and immediate experience of it, lets us know if its true or not. We can recognize truth from error, because truth always operates as law, whether physical or subtle, and can be applied to any situation or set of circumstances, where it creates a material reality as a natural process of some sort. If an idea being portrayed can’t be experienced or applied by anyone to create what it claims to create, then it shows us it’s not based on principles and the fundamental workings that underlie all of life that determines what organic processes it naturally undergoes in order to “become”.

The most fundamental law that many fail to recognize is that spirit as consciousness or the mind as a field of information (a concept used to understand it), is also matter itself, which is the passive component that “receives” – takes in and is in-formed by consciousness – which is the active force of a complementary whole. Spirit, mind or soul, and body, are different aspects of the same thing (idea) in different densities as a series of complementary opposites that engage in an interactive process of resonance, sympathetic induction, and coherence. Consciousness itself is a self-organizing force that impregnates (magnetically enters into) matter, structuring the form it takes on as its body or vehicle for expressing, that forms by organizing particles through a positive charge, where something appears to come out of nothing. The active force enters the passive equivalent (same vibration as a state) forming the molecular structure as a combination of information that forms the molecular structure of a single cell, as the composition of all the information and patterning sequences, as well as the spatial model as a form of organizing blueprint for undergoing mitosis as self-generation, organizing billions of reproductions into a larger, unified organism that’s imbued with a personality and distinct tendencies as the behaviors and activity it naturally and systematically engages in. Spiritual knowledge as laws that govern all of life and the natural world, are what creates everything and can be observed in natural processes where the same set of laws are at work creating a multitude of forms with specialized functions. We can know spirit by observing and engaging in the creative processes of life and death in the natural world, and by gaining self-knowledge as self-awareness of how those same laws operate to create us and work through us.

 
As humans, we are a perfect microcosm and mini-model of the cosmos as the macrocosm, because we are the only species on this planet to be imbued with the higher capacity of creativity. We are the only animals capable of individual thinking and using these laws to self-create by willfully employing them with full awareness of what we’re doing and the reason we’re doing it. We are not confined to instinctual, unconscious behaviors produced as a part of the collective unconscious that we share with all other humans as a species, but rather the ability to create through willful acts that employ knowledge of the natural laws to manipulate nature and the natural forces to create by way of them. By employing spiritual knowledge as laws, we can develop ourselves by way our creative ability to intelligently employ them to produce our practical skills and daily lifestyle as a means of self-creating, and systematically growing ourselves to higher and higher forms of intelligence through expanding our creative capacities to apply laws in numerous ways to create an infinite variety of possibilities through our ability to adapt, utilize and overcome.
