Learning how to Understand the Illusory Nature of Reality

Definition of reality: a thing that’s actually experienced or seen as a physical existence: A state or quality that exists or has substance.

The idea of “reality” is one that has eluded many throughout history because we’ve been taught to think of it as a solid, fixed, objective, and universal matrix, when in fact it’s actually a mental construct produced out of fluctuating light particles that are organized into what appears to us as a stable reality. While we can say that there’s an objective reality as the basic elements that make up Nature, the fact is every object is “reshaped” into a unique version of the same idea by the individual mind “perceiving it”. We can use many ways to try and define reality as a group consensus or shared idea, but the fact still remains that “perception is reality”, and all reality as we’re capable of knowing it is “subjective” in nature because it’s shaped in relationship with our own mind as a resonate frequency.

What we perceive as the natural world that we all share in common is structured as the result of the Earth’s resonate frequency. The Earth, like all heavenly bodies, is a conscious sentient being as a “living soul” that vibrates at a certain frequency. The entire natural world of the planet beats at this frequency like a cosmic heartbeat. This harmonic frequency exists as an electromagnetic spectrum ranging from 3Hz to 60Hz, with an average of 7.83Hz, producing a standing wave that makes it appear stationary. Every piece of matter (light as photons) resonates as a frequency or series of correlated frequencies that appears as both a wave and particle simultaneously. We are all technically speaking tuned energetically to the same wave-form as a unified field of information that makes up the Earth’s consciousness, and as a result, share in the same overall reality. This is commonly referred to in all spiritual traditions as the “original creation”.

The Energetic Nature of the Soul-Mind

Each individual soul-mind (lower soul) within the Earth’s electromagnetic spectrum consists of both a subconscious and self-conscious aspect, which are both a part of the universal collective unconscious of the planet. While many believe that the self-conscious aspect of the material mind is “conscious”, the fact is it’s birthed by the subconscious fully within the material body of Nature (as a mammal) and typically remains unconscious by being fully identified with the body and personality. The self-conscious mind (what most think of as the mind and self) is what “witnesses” the outer creation of the subconscious or planetary mind, while failing to realize that it’s their own creation, and imagines instead that it exists apart from them as something being created by an objective and neutral force that’s independent of them.

A wave-form is comprised of a range of vibratory frequencies that form a coherent spectrum as a field of information in its potential state as infinite possibilities for reality based on how the information is organized into coherent patterns. Every vibration has both a pattern as an idea and a “self-organizing” mechanism inherent in it. This self-assembling feature is what acts to organize information into specialized patterns. This means that it abstracts from the wave-form of the whole only the information that can be intelligently utilized to create the idea it’s imprinted with, and as a result, acts to create an altered version of the same basic idea. The mind of the individual, which resonates at a specialized frequency as its mental model formed out of its unconscious conditioning, enters into relationship with the collective consciousness of the Earth (including humanity), and deletes, abstracts, and distorts selected information into a new configuration as its perception.

Our mind-soul is an energetic field that interacts with all other energy fields around it, morphing them to take on the same appearance (thematic pattern) and likeness (qualities) as itself. The whole as a vast array of possibility is reshaped to resemble the individual. All information inherent in the whole is metaphorical (archetypal) in nature and lends itself to be shaped into infinite variations through a process of adaptation and modification. As we perceive something, we’re simultaneously interpreting it to mean something, and out of the meaning it has for us we create our “experience” of it. As we form our own experiences of reality as an individual creation, we identify with our own experiences and shape ourselves accordingly. The “I” of the self is a personification born out of the selected qualities of a universal whole (holographic principle).

The Principle of Vibration and Energy

The way vibration works is that any two substances that are “tuned” with the same tuning mechanism (frequency of the Earth), resonate with each other in a complementary fashion. One energy field (mind) acts to “enter into” and vibrate the same qualities it possesses and is actively expressing in another energy field of a similar nature. As they merge into each other they form an interference pattern (Dyad) that acts to change what’s active and passive in each one, forming a new variation of a complementary nature. The energy of one vibration is inducted into the energy of a complementary vibration (within the same spectrum), and both vibrations are altered by what’s amplified or canceled out through their union, producing a modified version of both as a new variation of shared qualities. As a new pattern is formed by how they combine, they slowly begin vibrating in harmony, producing a coherent frequency. As they begin vibrating in harmony with each other as a joint-reality, a foundation is established as a stabilized system for consistently producing shared experiences of the same nature.

The Holographic Principle of the Mind and DNA

This same principle of vibration, sympathetic induction, and coherence, operates and can be used to transform our genetic code, which is what forms both our physical body and outer reality to be of the same nature (pattern). DNA is composed of basically two complementary pairs of information, one from the mother and the other from the father, and through a process of natural selection, which can be visualized conceptually as switches, some are turned on and some turned off, to form a unique version as a new combination. Our DNA is an aspect of our subconscious mind and the information it contains as our genetic code  is formed into new configurations through our evolving perceptions. Our perceptions, which are formed out of our mental paradigms and belief system, are constantly changing through the incorporation of new information, which is simultaneously upgrading and programming our DNA.

DNA can be thought of as a form of bio-computer that runs programs of organized information that’s configured by our mind and interacts telepathically with the DNA in every other living system, all of which are composed of different combinations and degrees of the same overall information. Just as our perception alters the appearance of our outer reality while simultaneously evolving our physical existence to be harmonious with it, our DNA influences all other DNA in near proximity of us to take on the same qualities. Our genetic code is an intelligent system that’s shaped by the mind to structure reality in a complementary and harmonious fashion. As we consume and assimilate the DNA of other living animals who experience emotions, feelings, and some form of thought, we eventually take on the same qualities as an energetic modification of consciousness.

Once we understand how energy as the mind works to form reality as a corresponding vibration, we can realize that what we think of as an objective reality is fully formed as endless variations within the same electromagnetic spectrum. Just as the Earth’s consciousness as electromagnetic frequencies range somewhere between 3 – 60Hz, our brain forms correlating frequencies as what we commonly refer to as “brainwaves”. Our brainwaves are Delta (.2-4Hz), Theta (4-8Hz.), Alpha (8-12Hz), Beta (12-40Hz), and Gamma (40-60Hz), which all form as progressions of each other from an unconscious to a highly conscious state of cognition and information processing. The average resonance of the Earth’s frequency is 7.83 Hz, which is the state between sleep and awake, also called the hypnotic or trance state. This is the collective unconscious of all life as the subconscious aspect we all share in common as a joint reality. When locked within the illusion of material reality, we form our identity as a soul out of our material existence through a basic form of hypnosis as our formative conditioning.

In Quantum Physics we know that the “experimenter influences the outcome of the experiment”. This phenomenon doesn’t occur through the reason for the experiment (what’s being sought), how it’s set up, the expectations for an outcome, and what information is included or excluded through how the information gathered is interpreted, but from a purely unconscious state as the individual minds ability to influence the particles of light into new configurations through its very perception. All information exists as a wave of potential that’s “collapsed” around a single possibility as a form of natural selection by the mind observing it. All of what we call reality is subjective in nature formed by taking a universal theme and reorganizing it to match and be a product of our own mental paradigm as a variation or unique possibility. We can only “see” and therefore comprehend in any situation what can be produced and sustained by our own paradigm.

Summary

All reality as we’re capable of knowing it through our perception of it is subjective in nature. Five people who are all a part of the same outer event as a direct experience of it, will see it in a different way, interpret it to mean something different, and form a unique perception of it. The same person when asked to describe or explain it after the fact by recollecting the memory of it while in a different state of mind (out of context), will continue to alter it based on or as modified by their state. Reality comes as the unified pattern of a dynamic range of vibration as a frequency that forms an electromagnetic spectrum. Out of this spectrum as a wave-form or field of information, an infinite number of variations can be produced by the individual mind based on how it exists in relationship with the whole. As it resonates with the whole, it collapses the wave of infinite possibilities into one as its perception of it, producing the particle as a fixed idea.

All individual creation comes by taking a universal idea as a theme comprised of archetypes as living metaphors, and forming the information available into what becomes a personal creation that still holds true to and exists in harmony with the theme from which it was taken. All of reality as we know it works out of the holographic principle where the same information that’s contained within the whole is used to produce the part as a specialization that differentiates it in order to play a unique role and function within the whole. All perception of reality is produced by our mental paradigm as fractal patterns. All growth and development takes place by the principle of the Golden Ratio (Phi) where the accumulated memory of the most recent past combined with the present, forms the basis for the future as a progressive evolution of variables.

All individual growth comes as the production of new variables that are then absorbed back into the paradigm of the whole where they’re integrated, modifying it according to the nature of the variations, forming a new whole. As we learn from the lessons of our own life experiences, we evolve ourselves by way of our own creation based on what type of information available in the whole we choose to abstract, conceive of, and integrate as experience, then continue to evolve by how we consistently use it to produce more of the same type of perceptions of “reality”.

“11” – Universal Justice, the Law of Cause and Effect, and the Nature of Karma

In occult sciences the number 11 represents the principle of universal justice as the equilibrium of complementary opposites to establish balance and harmony. It’s symbolic of what’s commonly called “karma” as the absolute law of cause and consequence, also referred to traditionally as the “golden rule”. Its purpose is to teach and instruct us through our own actions which produce both immediate and long term consequences as our ability to create our reality. This is a double “1” (Monad) as the balancing scales that brings an equal or greater return on all our actions and deeds. It represents our ability to learn from our own actions and the inward capacity for self-direction and regulation. In the “Book of Formation”, the special action assigned to Justice is “work or action” that’s designed to teach and instruct.

Justice is represented by Libra, ruled by Venus, which governs the inner world of the imagination (Key 3), where our subconscious deductions from experience become the seeds of karma, and forms the basis for all of our actions. As we create through our own actions and deeds, we simultaneously learn and provide ourselves with a form of instruction. Through purely unconscious processes we form constant interpretations of experiences that produce all of our natural perceptions and automatic behaviors. How we perceive ourselves and the outer world comes through our personal style for processing and organizing information, which forms the basis for all of our actions. Our mental model as our perceptual lens is formed initially as the result of our formative conditioning as mental states, dynamic patterns, and tendencies that have become habitual.

Mode of Consciousness

The mode of consciousness associated with Justice (karma) is “faithful intelligence”. The subconscious is a faithful servant to the conscious mind and produces the realization of whatever idea it’s germinated with. The feminine aspect of the mind is impregnated with the seed (idea) of the masculine aspect and produces the reality of the idea as its offspring. This not only reveals to us that most creations result from habitual unconscious patterns, but also that whatever it is that we imagine as a reality with intensity, is actually a “request” for a personal creation. We act on ourselves to program our own subconscious through imagining ideas as an actual reality and experience, “instructing” it (our self) to produce more experiences of the same nature and kind. As we replay memories over and over in our mind, we’re instructing our subconscious to produce more of the same types of reality, usually without realizing (being aware) that that’s why we have the same type of experiences over and over again.

Vices or virtues are equally deposited in the faithful intelligence of the subconscious where they augment. As we interject an idea into our subconscious by vividly imagining it with sensory detail, it gestates until it becomes the foundation out which we perceive the same idea outwardly as its realization. The subconscious faithfully reproduces and multiplies whatever idea it’s given as an imagined reality that’s experienced in an emotionally intense way. It uses existing memory as a kind of metaphorical theme for creating more of the same type of realities. It takes a symbolic idea in its potential form and ripens it to become the motive for our actions. As we create ideas as an outer realization through a form of projection that produces a new variation through a process of adaptation, we then reabsorb them through the experience they provide and shape them into memories that act in turn to reprogram ourselves with more of the same type of experiences. All reality is subjective in nature and is formed as a self-perpetuating process of self-realization.

The Law of Cause and Effect

Cause is manifest by effects, and effects are proportioned to their causes. All action is a cause that produces an equivalent effect. Nothing is affirmed or made real until it appears outside of us as a realization. We apprehend the cause of our own actions by the effects contained in the energy of the cause, by means of the Universal Law of Correspondence and Analogy. Once an idea is established as an outer effect that brings realization, the effect then becomes a cause that produces an equivalent effect “in us” through the experience it provides. All of our deepest motives are revealed through the reality they create as the nature of our experiences. It’s not necessarily the idea itself that provides a creative template for the subconscious, but rather what internal force is “motivating” us in creating the idea. The conscious mind provides the material form as an idea, and the subconscious infuses and grows it with an equivalent emotional force, and together they form the “reason” for the creation.

The Law of the Monad (Mind and Soul) demonstrates the principle of how the inner center (nature) produces the outer sphere of reality to be of the same nature through an electromagnetic respiration as an outflow and inflow of consciousness that creates on multiple levels and scales simultaneously. Magnetic respiration is where the inner nature of motives that produce outer actions populates the atmosphere surrounding it, providing it with a reflection of itself through its own works. Through our own creative abilities, we create either heaven or hell for ourselves. There’s always an electromagnetic pulsation of the soul where it projects itself to formulate its outer reality, constructing it to be of the same nature (pattern) as it is. As it forms the realization of itself through its outer environment, it then draws the realization back into itself where it’s reformulated into a memory. Our core being is what forms our perception as interpretations that provide us with the means for experiencing our self. All of what we call curses or blessings are self-administered and produce their consequences invariably, and every action by its nature produces effects analogous to its motives, extent, and direction.

Thought, Word, and Deed

Thoughts that aren’t translated into speech don’t produce realization, and speech that’s not backed by action remains idle as imagined fantasy. Ideas are only made “real” when they are acted on to produce outer experiences as the realization of the idea. Many people form a false image of themselves that they never act on to make real, and it results in a form of delusion as a false front disguised to hide their true nature. Thought formulated into speech forms the basis for the action necessary to produce it as an outer realization. The realization gained from an action reveals what motivated it.

Many people hide their true motives (often even to themselves) out of fear of what it means about them, and try to cover them up with false proclamations that act to contradict their actions. What we say doesn’t reveal anything about us; it’s what we do that demonstrates our true character. What we act to create in life only comes through our actions, not idle thoughts as fantasies that only serve to delude us. Whether vice or virtue, destructive or constructive, we are fully responsible for anything we say or do, and the realities that result from them. There is no such thing as indifferent acts.

Justice signifies active administration of law as balance, poise, expectation, precision, impartiality, and equity. It’s not based on value judgments of right and wrong, or good and bad, but merely serves to reveal the inner constitution as what motivates actions. Every action has a motive as a subconscious formulated interpretation. As we think, speak, and act, we create the reality of our motives, which serves as a mirror into unconscious aspects of ourselves. Our subconscious is programmed initially through our formative conditioning, which forms the basis for all of our motives, interpretations, and natural behaviors. As we perceive something through our mental model we reformulate it by saying “this means that”, referencing and associating it to a memory of a previous experience of a similar nature, and we act accordingly. Through our conditioning we act on ourselves to repeat the same patterns as a habitual way of perceiving and create the same type of experiences over and over again.

Our Life Story as a Theme for Self-Creating

Our (self-produced) memories serve to form our natural way of perceiving the world and sets the stage for the story we begin telling ourselves as a means of using the past to interpret the present to mean the same thing. The meaning we give something determines how we experience it through the story we tell ourselves about it. Our story about something is how we explain, describe, and justify it as a means of attempting to understand it. As we create the outer realization of our thoughts and motives as an experience of our own making, we then become subject to them. We use our own self-produced experiences to shape ourselves by how we identify with our own creation as an ongoing story we’re always in the process of telling ourselves about things. In this manner, we’re always shaping everything else to be like us.

By realizing that our outer realizations are providing us with a mirror into our own unconscious mind, we can become more self-aware. Anytime we bring something that’s operating at the unconscious level in our life into conscious awareness, we provide ourselves with the opportunity to transform it in whatever way we desire. By staying unaware and repeating the thematic patterns of our conditioning, we live our life out of karma and remain unconscious of our true nature and our ability to self-create by way of our own realizations. We fail to realize that we’re not our personality or conditioning, but the “means” through which it becomes our reality. Our soul is the author and producer of our life story as the means of simultaneously creating and experiencing itself by way of its own creation. We are the soul that’s producing reality through our perception of it, not the result of an objective reality that’s somehow being done to us by an outside force or contrary power.

Summary

By becoming self-aware and using our outer realizations as a mirror into the hidden aspects of our mind, we can step into our true power to self-create by learning how to seed our subconscious with ideas we want to create as our outer experience of reality. We can realize our own undesirable traits and delusional interpretations and begin acting on ourselves to transform them into more beneficial and meaningful ones. Once we realize that things only mean what we make them mean by how we interpret them, we can detach from our inner narrative as our story about things, and begin forming new ones. Once we become aware of habitual dynamics that we’re drawn into unconsciously as a reaction of some kind, we can begin neutralizing them by re-framing them and making a conscious decision as to what we want to create in their place.

As we become aware of the patterns produced unconsciously through our conditioning, just the awareness alone dissolves them, and we’re left with a new awareness of our ability to make a decision as to how we’re going to create instead. As we begin making new decisions and actively directing our subconscious on what we want it to create, we begin taking full responsibility for our self and our life. Our inner core as our nature and character is what acts to produce our outer perception of reality and our “self” through that reality.

By changing ourselves as our inner character, we change the reality it naturally produces as a fundamental form of self-expression. We don’t change our life by working on others and the outer effects themselves, but by working on ourselves as the inner cause that’s producing the outer effect as a basic form of self-perception. As we begin working on ourselves to reshape our character and redirect underlying motives, our outer reality and perception of others changes as a direct correspondence. Justice as the harmonious balance of the inner with the outer is a self-administered form of creation. In every moment we are the sole creators of both our self and our perception of others, and our inner and outer reality, which exist in polarity as complementary to each other. The outer is an extension and continuation of the inner and contains both conscious and unconscious aspects of our self. We can come to know the unknown aspects of ourselves by how they exist in relation to the known aspects, both of which form the basis of our outer perception of reality.

Gaining a Practical Understanding of the Principles involved for our Soul to Transcend the Material Plane

       This idea can be difficult to fully grasp in practical terms because it’s very esoteric in the sense that it requires a true shift in awareness in order to be able to employ intentionally.It requires an in-depth understanding of the Universal Laws involved along with a realization of the “true nature” of the very “reality” we’re looking to transcend.It’s not about looking around at all the ideas that are out there regarding the idea of ascending, but rather gaining a comprehensive understanding of the laws involved to the point where you can come up with your own ideas and processes for intelligently developing your consciousness in an individual manner. All growth and development only comes by way of intentional action, disciplined effort, and constant striving. There’s no such thing as an “easy path” to higher domains, and all true creation requires deliberate use of choice and will in creating ourselves as an “individual” rather than buying into the “group mind” of always looking for someone else’s ideas that we can accept and use as our own.

       The most fundamental difference of what we think of as “higher and lower consciousness” comes through the realization of what it actually means to either be a product of what you’ve been taught by others and therefore not consciously utilizing your ability to reason and make your own decisions as the means for forming your actions, which is what serves to “demonstrate” your “actual” level of consciousness. In the lower plane of an“animal existence”, which is primarily unconscious in nature, we buy into the group mind of consensus and regulations, where opinion is mistaken for fact,and we lack autonomy and a sovereign will. All the knowledge and instructions necessary for creating comes as a thorough understanding of laws and the practice necessary for applying them in your daily life as the means of “creating yourself”.

       We only ascend or descend and “move between planes of existence” through Universal Laws as the consciousness we employ and develop within a given plane. There are many planes that are dynamically interlaced and work together to form what we perceive as a “single plane” that has higher and lower regions as levels of consciousness that naturally exists as an inherent part of that plane. Many people fail to comprehend that what we call the material plane is produced and maintained “by” our consciousness which is an aspect of the Universal Consciousness and does not exist independent of us.

The Singularity

        The entire material plane that we appear to be sharing in common with others is produced as a projection of our own individual mind that’s a part of a larger group mind, and every element of our reality is the embodiment and expression of an “aspect” of ourselves. This idea follows the same principle as our “nightly dreams” which are produced solely by our “unconscious mind” as fully embellished sensory realities. Our nightly dreams are composed of many different people as “characters” that are all playing a role in creating a coherent idea as a reality and experience of the idea. Just as we can interpret the meaning of our dreams by embodying and becoming each person or object within the dream being used to illustrate it, we can also see each person or thing in our waking reality the same way, because they’re all aspects of ourselves necessary to play out a greater story as the means of producing an experience of hidden or unconscious aspects of ourselves.

       What we perceive as the “outer reality”is produced by our mind in the same way the reality of our night dreams are. Both the inner and outer reality exist as what we can call “dream states” that express and reveal to us the “full content” of our mind and soul as both conscious(aware) and unconscious (unaware) aspects. All dreams and visions as a certain “type of reality” are formed out of different mental states. All of what we perceive as being “out there”, disguised as someone or something else (separate from us), is a symbolic or metaphorical representation of unknown or hidden aspects of ourselves that are necessary in order to act out an idea, providing us with the means for gaining self-awareness from it. Just as we contrast and conflict with other people, we have internal aspects of ourselves that also act to oppose each other causing internal conflict and struggle as a form of ongoing argument and debate with “ourselves”.

       What we call “aspects” of ourselves (notice this is always plural)exist as attributes and qualities that form unique characteristics as a form of personality, or what we can think of as a sub-personality. Each sub-personality as aspects of our Self has its own unique perspective, motives, and purposes that are projected outward (meaning we perceive through them), forming our perception of others as being of the “same nature” as we are. We form outer experiences of the same type of things that exist within us. The same conflicts we experience internally are acted out by others externally. What we perceive as the inner and outer are both a part of the same space-time continuum as different mental states that make up what we call a “plane of existence” that’s cohesive and consistent in nature.

        We have two primary aspects of our mind that makeup what we call the “material mind”, one of which is unconscious and experienced as our inner or body-oriented mind, and the other one is self-conscious and experienced as our outer awareness. These two aspects of the same mind exist in polarity to each other, and when one is active the other one is passive in terms of “awareness”. We remain largely unaware of our night dreams because they’re created by our unconscious mind while our self-aware mind is sleeping. Once we wake-up and our self-conscious mind becomes active and dominant, we enter into a different type of dream state that’s based on an outer dream. Yet both the inner and outer reality is produced by the same mind while in different states(Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, and Gamma), also referred to as brain-waves. As we move from one state to another, we shift dimensions (from inner to outer) and forget the reality of the previous state. This is why we forget our night dreams and visions we have while meditating as soon as we come into an alert Beta state.

       All debates over controversial ideas that we enter into with others, are really the outward extension and enactment of an equivalent inner debate we’re having with ourselves, as a conflict between “known and unknown” parts of ourselves. This is what creates the false illusion of duality as the inner reality being separate from the outer reality,both of which are produced by the “same mind”. This idea is expressed through sayings like “judge not lest ye be judged”, and “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, and the idea that whatever we put out we get back, and that all outer perception is a fundamental form of self-perception. These ideas offer us insight into the true nature of reality that if we contemplate with an empty and silent mind, putting all beliefs and existing ideas aside, reveals the laws that make-up the true nature of reality.

       As long as we form a belief around the general idea being played out as mass reality that appears to be separate from us, we unconsciously participate in co-creating it as what seems like a joint-experience. Once created as what seems like an outer reality, we then fully cooperate in maintaining it out of an unconscious state. We then use the projections of our own mind as a detached reality as the means of creating ourselves out of it. Whatever plane we’re a cohesive part of in terms of self-awareness, acts to “bond us” energetically to that plane of existence. In the lower plane of material reality we act on ourselves to create ourselves out of a primarily unconscious state, and become identified with an illusion of our own making. In order to ascend this plane,so to speak, we have to bring what’s operating in our life at an unconscious level into conscious awareness where we become “fully conscious” as our normal state.

        Our material reality and everything in it is not the end goal or objective of the soul (who’s creating it as an illusion of itself) and only provides the means as a kind of “stage” for the Soul to play out the reality naturally produced by its mind as the means of expressing in order to gain self-realization, and use that knowledge as the basis for fashioning itself to “be” of a certain nature.There’s no such thing as believing one thing and doing another, no matter how we justify it to ourselves. All of our actions are the demonstration of our true level of consciousness, and serve to define us in the most practical sense.The idea that we can somehow “love another” without first “loving ourselves” is absurd in the most basic sense of the idea, because ultimately they’re both the same thing. If we love another it means we love that same aspect as qualities and “type of person” in ourselves. What we perceive as another, like the characters in our nightly dreams, are merely aspects of ourselves playing apart in a much larger drama.

Self-Reflection as the means of Self-Realization

       What we experience as the outer reality is created at the fundamental level by both conscious and unconscious aspects of ourselves. Whatever seems normal and doesn’t cause a “reaction in us” as a form of judgment of some kind, are the aspects that we’re aware of and fully accept and embrace as being a part of us. In a like manner, whatever we don’t recognize as being “us”, causes an emotional reaction as a form of judgment. Because we’re unaware of it, we don’t realize we’re the one creating it, and we imagine that it’s someone or something that taking place outside of us and has nothing to do with us. We then create the “illusion” of entering into relationship with unknown aspects of ourselves in order to act out dramas together that form a continuation of internal dramas of the same nature and kind.

       This is what’s meant by the idea that you’re already “whole” and don’t need someone or something that exists outside of you in order to “complete you”. What we look for in another already exists within us, we just don’t realize it because we haven’t become aware of that part of ourselves, and instead perceive it as being missing. This idea is illustrated in the most primary law represented by the Monad where the self and the outer world as a “sphere of consciousness” are an expansion and extension of the same mind and idea; and in the Law of the Dyad or Vesica Pisces (called the womb of reality), which is produced as the regeneration and projection of the Monad to create the “illusion” of the Self as another. These two primary laws reveal the true nature of reality where the outer world is created as corresponding reflection and projection of the inner world. Where we’re always entering into relationship with ourselves (same consciousness) in everything around us, and creating a joint reality as an “experience of our self in another”. The illusion of separation from our self is necessary in order to create an experience our self.

The Illusion of Duality and the Birth of the Ego and Shadow

       The Soul creates the outer, material world by dividing itself into both conscious (masculine) and unconscious (feminine)aspects or parts. This occurs naturally in childhood when we’re taught to judge ourselves in the same way we were judged by others. As we judge ourselves to be good or bad, a division takes place where we reject, repress all the parts of our nature that we deem bad or wrong. As we judge and reject parts of ourselves, we deny having them (even to ourselves) and refuse to express them,and suppress them instead, eventually losing memory of them because we don’t create memories where we’re being that way. As we condemn and deny some parts,we simultaneously compare and contrast them with what we’ve also judged as being good aspects of an opposing nature, that are the opposite of the bad ones, and we accept and embrace them by expressing them, and as a result, build an “image of ourselves” out of only acceptable parts.

       Through the process of self-judgment we form two aspects of our nature that exist in direct opposition to each other.We birth what we call our “shadow and ego” through opposing ends of the same act. Our shadow we deny having and ultimately forget about, and our ego is formed out of only the good and desirable parts of us that we openly and freely express outwardly to create our experiences of ourselves as being good, right,desired, loved, admired, and so on. Yet all of the denied and forgotten aspects still exist and are alive within us in an active and creative state, and form an inherent part of our outer environment and our perception of others and the world in general. Because we forgot we had them, we don’t recognize them as being a part of us (our mind), and we judge others who are outwardly expressing those traits in the same way we judged ourselves, and we make them out to be “bad people” in some way.

       As we create a “false image” of ourselves that’s only fashioned out of acceptable parts, we stay locked into an illusion of our own making. While we say that the ego is created by building an image of ourselves out of only material ideas, we can state it more accurately by saying that we create an idea of ourselves out of only part of our nature,and exist in a fragmented (separated) state as a result. We act to maintain only a partial awareness of our true nature, and build our identity out of an illusion we’ve created of ourselves instead. Our material reality, in the ultimate sense, is an illusion created by our “whole mind” of both conscious and unconscious material, and provides us with the means for recognizing unconscious aspects of ourselves being projected onto others. Once we realize this we can become aware that the outer world and others are merely reflecting back to us unknown aspects of our self, and anytime we’re judging and reacting to someone or something, we can turn inward and self-reflect instead, and gain new forms of self-awareness.

       Because the shadow and ego oppose each other, meaning one can’t exist without the other, by becoming aware of our shadow nature, and integrating it into “acceptable aspects of ourselves” we act to simultaneously undermine and transform our ego through the conscious incorporation of rejected parts. This results in what we experience as a form of “death” (of our false image), and therefore causes the ego to retaliate and defend itself by working consciously to maintain the shadow, and thereby sustaining the illusion its created of itself as being a certain type of person.

        This is why all “true healing” is centered on dissolving judgment and forgiving others who we’ve imagined were hurting or harming us in some way. This is the basis for the true reality of the fact that all judgment of others is really a judgment we hold against ourselves. That what we perceive as being “done to us by another” is actually something we’re doing to ourselves and comes by way of projecting unconscious aspects of ourselves onto others. We judge others in the same way we judge ourselves, and once we understand this, we can see it for the psychological tool it offers as the means for recognizing aspects of ourselves that remain hidden from us.

       By recognizing the laws involved for producing reality, we can realize that anytime we’re having an adverse reaction as a strong judgment against another that it’s really providing us with a mirror into our own unconscious content.With deep self-reflection we can gain awareness and insight around how we “acted on ourselves” to fragment and divide ourselves in order to produce an illusion based on partial aspects that serve to create a “false illusion” as our perception of ourselves. Because what we call higher planes are “whole and unified in nature”, we can only ascend into them once freed from the body of illusion, by acting on ourselves to heal and return ourselves to a “whole state of Being”that no longer creates itself out of an illusion. Even though we deny parts of ourselves and lack awareness of them, they’re still an inherent and active part of our nature and continue creating our reality. In order to partake in the reality of higher planes we have to fully utilize our ability to create ourselves and our life from a fully conscious state.

Personal Transformation and a Return to Wholeness

       For this reason, the whole basis of ascension to higher, unified realms of existence is based on the practice of Alchemy as Personal Transformation from a partial state to a whole state. This is the Law as realization that we possess the higher powers of self-awareness that enables us to “act on ourselves to transform ourselves” back into a whole,and therefore “pure” state. The most natural way we heal, restore balance, and transform is by bringing what’s creating our reality in an unconscious manner into conscious awareness, where by owning and embracing it, we integrate it back into our Self and our identity. Once we realize the judgments we’ve placed on ourselves that kept us unconscious and living in the shadow of our own life,and integrate them to form a new whole, we’re capable of ascending to a higher state where wholeness and unity is the very foundation out of which “reality”is created as a natural expression and projection of a fully conscious and self-aware state.

       Once we heal all the fragmented and broken parts of our Self, bringing them back into a whole and harmonious state,and no longer pass judgment on our Self in others, our experience of outer reality changes accordingly. We can only ascend to a unified state by creating it while in the lower material plane of duality. As long as we continue to perceive ourselves out of a partial awareness of our own nature, we will remain in this plane, which is providing us with the means to recognize our true nature and fully embrace it in a congruent way. The material world simply provides us with the means of creating as a form of self-expression that shows us the content of our whole mind, giving us the tools as Laws for perfecting ourselves by healing unconscious aspects of our own inner nature that’s acting to produce our perception of what appears to be an “outer world” that’s separate from our own mind.

Waking up and becoming Self-Aware within the Dream

       The idea of “waking up” in your own life is the full realization that you’re actually the one creating it. All of it. In the ultimate sense there is no duality and nothing exists apart from our perception of it. Things are only the way they are because we make them out to be that way by how we create our experiences of them. Things only mean what we make them mean. As we perceive and judge another, we’re perceiving and judging ourselves “in and through them”. What we imagine to be outside of us is the expression and projection of what’s inside of us. Whatever we’re doing to another, we’re actually doing to ourselves. We’re always on both the giving and receiving end of the same judgments and illusions. This forms the basis for the eternal and Absolute Law of Karma. We always suffer the consequences of our own actions, because in fact, there’s only one of us.

       We’re given the Laws that reveal the true nature of reality as a product of our mind in what’s represented as Sacred Geometry as the Tetrad, and in Spiritual (Esoteric) Sciences as the Tetragrammaton as the “four letter name of God” as IHVH (or YHVH). The Tetrad is formed out of the Monad as the Self and outer reality of the Mind, that “regenerates itself” by separating and projecting itself to create the illusion of another (Dyad), then enters into relationship with itself as another, forming an inner reality in the imagination (Triad) that’s then reflected downward and outward,forming the basis for the outer material world, represented by the Tetrad. What we perceive as a series or group of Laws, are actually produced by the One primal Law of the Mind (mentation). Both the inner (triad) and outer (mirror image of the Triad) are produced by the same mind as its constitution,represented by a square or cube. The Mind (5th Element) acts to organize and structure the Four Elements of the material plane into a “reality”that’s actually “imaginary in nature” and can be altered or transformed by first altering and transforming the Mind that’s producing it as a perception of Itself.

       What we refer to as the Ten Primary Laws of Creation, or Seven Principles of Hermetic Sciences are the fundamental Laws of the Mind that act to produce what we experience as the “reality of the material plane”. These Laws provide us with not only a description of the true Nature of reality, but also “instructions” for how to use our own mind in order to create reality, and simultaneously create our Self by way of that reality.Laws are the creative and operative forces that govern all reality as the creative processes of the Mind and provide us with the means for self-realization and the means for acting on ourselves to transform ourselves.We know when our inner world has been transformed by how it changes our perception of the outer world and how we experience it, because they’re a direct and opposite reflection of each other. Once we truly relinquish judgment of ourselves in others, we’re able to experience compassion where we can become one with another and see life from their perspective without judging them as being good or bad, or right and wrong, and simultaneously return our Soul back to a state of wholeness and purity.

The Threefold Nature of our Mind, the Art of Self-Perfection, and the True Nature of Choice, Imagination, and Higher Will

One of the problems we have in realizing the true nature of not only ourselves, but of reality in general, is that we have a hard time not thinking in separative, dualistic terms, while trying to comprehend a reality that’s the unification of multiple dimensions into a cohesive whole. We fail to recognize the relationship that exists between higher and lower planes, between spirit and matter, and between ourselves as we exist simultaneously on various levels of consciousness. We imagine that spirit exists separate and apart from matter, that our Higher Self is a being separate and different from us, that our own subconscious and conscious mind exists and operate independently of each other, and that our outer reality is objective in nature and has nothing to do with our inner reality and how we form an experience of the outer world. We’ve been trained to a mindset that sees all of life which exists as a unified whole as being comprised instead of a bunch of separate parts that have no direct relationship to each other and as being able to function independent of everything else, when in fact it’s actually an intimate and cohesive part of everything else.

The confusion arises from the fact that we exist in a primarily “dual state” as a form of paradox while in the material realm. This dual state as the perception of separation that creates the appearance of our self and others, as if “we’re in here” and they’re “out there”, apart from us, is necessary in order to have an experience of ourselves as someone or something specific. We can only “experience ourselves” as we exist in relationship with everything else. Our very perception is formed by “seeing ourselves in everything else”. This is because we actually exist as being “universal in nature”, comprised of a unique combination of archetypal attributes and qualities that make up our “self” as memories formed out of self-created experiences of ourselves, which are the very foundation for the psychological make-up of humanity as a whole, and that of the Natural world which is also governed by a form of archetypal memory as the “instinctual field” of the “collective Unconscious”.

What we refer to as the invisible realm of spirit that underlies, permeates, and animates the material world giving it Life, is the realm of archetypal ideas and principles that serve to give rise to all material form. Archetypes exist as a form of generalized, universal idea as attributes, qualities, and personality traits that are used at the personal level to self-create by embodying them and becoming one with the idea they represent and acquiring those same traits as a result. Universal memory as archetypes are very similar to personal memory as whole realities or experiences that are complete with qualities, characteristics, personality traits, emotions, thoughts, meaning, roles and identity, and behavioral dynamics that naturally lend themselves to telling certain types of stories. They are the complete ingredients necessary not only for creating a personal inner reality, but also an analogous experience of the same type of outer reality. How we experience something is what forms the basis for creating a memory out of it as a union between the inner imagined reality, and the outer equivalent, that together allow us to experience the inward born idea outside of ourselves as an inherent part of our environment and we get a “sense of ourselves” within and as an intimate part of that idea, and it forms into a personal memory that serves to shape us. We’re always using universal memory to create our experience of reality, and create ourselves by way of those experiences.

       Because all of life is a coherent part of the same universal memory as the collective unconscious, whatever archetypal memory we resonate with we act to draw into our mind and imagination, and “become one with it in mind and spirit”, tuning ourselves to it by taking on the same qualities and personality traits, and we simultaneously connect with those same qualities and ideas in everything around us. As we change our inner constitution, our outer experience of ourselves changes accordingly. As we incorporate and integrate ideas into our mental paradigm, we form a natural relationship with that same idea in everything outside of us. Once an idea and way of being becomes a natural part of our inner being it also becomes a natural part of our outer world as our unified experience of our self. The inner and outer worlds exist as complementary opposites of each other, which means that if you change one, the other one changes automatically to match it. We’re always connecting to and forming a relationship with ourselves as our inner nature in everything around us and creating an experience through the unification of the inner and outer that becomes an inherent part of us as our soul’s memory. We’re always borrowing from the universal as a means of creating our self as an individual.

All creation comes by way of what’s called the primary “3 in 1” Law of the Trinity. Every single entity is comprised of two complementary opposites that work together to produce a third entity as a functional, unified whole. The material mind also exists as complementary aspects of the subconscious (inner self) and self-conscious (outer awareness of self), which work together to produce an offspring as a unified reality that’s a fundamental part of both. Each aspect of a whole acts to emanate and give rise to the other. While we tend to think of the self-conscious mind as being of a different nature and function as the subconscious mind, it’s actually a complementary aspect of the subconscious which is what gave birth to it. The true conscious mind, which is that aspect of us that we commonly call our Higher Self, is the unification of both the subconscious and self-conscious in an exalted state as a single entity on a higher plane, and is actually the aspect of the mind that operates as “Will” within the lower mind.

The self, like the mind and soul, is threefold in nature and exists simultaneously as three aspects on three parallel planes that function together to produce a unified whole as a cohesive reality. Within each plane, the single aspect of the self within that plane exists in a dual state of polarity as complementary opposites of itself, forming a triad. The Higher Self is what we call the human soul of the middle plane that acts as a medium between the Oversoul and the lower soul, and when manifesting in the lower plane of material existence, also separates into dual and complementary aspects of itself, and emanates the subconscious mind which acts to form and give life to the material body as it’s vehicle, contains the self-conscious aspect of the mind in its potential and latent state. After a period of gestation, this aspect of the mind is then birthed by the subconscious through a natural growth process as it’s complementary opposite. This idea is represented metaphorically as the “Madonna (Mother) and male child” as her divinely conceived offspring. The subconscious mind is the direct emanation of the Higher Soul and is formed out of the memory of all incarnations as an accumulation of integrated experiences to form a summation as our personality.

       The self-conscious mind, which is what most people think of as “the” mind, is birthed and exists solely within the material body as our outer awareness and what we think of as “brain consciousness”. The self-conscious is the masculine offspring as “self-awareness” that’s based exclusively on the body and current life conditions of the body, forms what we refer to as the “ego” as our soul’s identification with the body and the material world. Naturally, because this identity or sense of self is formed entirely within the current incarnation and based on outer awareness of the self, it’s also the mortal part of us that dies with the body. As humans, we are both immortal and eternal and mortal and temporary.

While we tend to think that the self-conscious mind has the ability to generate its own consciousness and therefore has a “will of its own” as a personal will, it actually doesn’t. All material bodies only have the consciousness it acts as a vehicle and vessel for and is able to “draw in” from the Aether and assimilate through resonance. What it does have is the ability to discriminate and evaluate ideas, and is the aspect of the mind that chooses and selects what it focuses on and thinks about, and thereby becomes one with producing a form of “seed” for the subconscious mind to produce inwardly by imagining it as a possible reality that it then uses to give birth to an outer reality of the same nature. This is the aspect of the mind that acts as the gatekeeper to the subconscious through its ability to discriminate and select what it “let’s in” to the womb of the subconscious, and what it rejects and keeps out by withdrawing attention from it.

The self-conscious is the aspect of the mind that forms conscious thoughts and internal dialogue that works together with the subconscious mind to manifest both an internal reality and external reality of the same nature and likeness. There’s always a fundamental paradox at work in everything as the feminine and masculine qualities that operate as complementary opposites, because while we consider the subconscious to be our “inner self” and internal nature, it’s also what produces and gives birth to the “outer world” as an extension, projection, and equivalent of itself as a kind of metaphorical theme. And while we say that the self-conscious mind is our awareness of the outer world, it produces the thoughts and internal dialogue we experience as our inner nature, and is what acts to witness the outer world of which it provided the seed of the subconscious mind for creating.

       Whenever someone is unaware of the multiple aspects of their mind and self (which are most people), and how these various aspects operate together to produce a unified whole as a cohesive inner and outer experience of reality, their self-conscious mind of thought tends to be run almost entirely by their subconscious mind, which operates exclusively out of memory of some form, and is habitual and repetitive in nature. When we remain in a primary state of unconsciousness, unaware of our true capacity for creating in an original manner, most of our thinking is repetitive and based on memory. When this happens our thoughts appear random, sporadic, compulsive in nature, lack meaning and a sense of coherence, and are constant. We simply replay the same type of thoughts as memory over and over like a broken record. All of our thoughts are something we’ve been taught, heard, told by others, or of past experiences that are played out by applying them to current situations producing more of the same type of experiences as variations. The capacities of the self-conscious mind as the ability to select, focus attention, and form thoughts, which together produce a seed for impregnating the subconscious imagination with brand new ideas for creating in an original and unique manner, exists for the most part in an unconscious state and uses its creative ability instead to merely focus on memories of the past and create more of the same type of experiences over and over.

The Higher mind of the human soul has the ability to truly create by choosing and drawing in universal memory of archetypes as qualities and characteristics that naturally forms an idea as a material form. It then willfully projects the archetype into the subconscious mind in the form of a memory that seeds it with a new pattern for creating on different scales within the material plane as both an inner and outer reality. The idea, once drawn in and conceived by the subconscious is reflected in the imagination as  a mental impression that the self-conscious mind witnesses in a passive manner as an inspired thought that comes to it out of nowhere. The self-conscious mind evaluates it and has the option to either choose it by continuing to think about it, or to reject it by saying no and withdrawing attention from it. When the self-conscious selects and continues thinking about the idea, fashioning it as a possible outer reality, it adapts and modifies it by defining it with details and sensory attributes into a new variation as a unique and personalized version.

This unique adapted version of a universal archetype is then concentrated on by continuing to think about, and it acts to re-seed the subconscious mind with a new version of the same idea, as a form of virtual memory that it can easily use to create both an inner and outer reality as the experience of the idea that becomes the basis of an “actual memory”, that serves to shape all three aspects of the self and soul at once. All actual creation (of brand new ideas) within the material world comes as a form of feedback loop that undergoes a transformative process of adaptation and modification between the Higher Self and the lower self, and between the higher and lower planes. This is symbolically represented by the Hexagram as interlaced triangles (a triangle represents the 3-fold nature of the mind) oriented in different directions (star of David) of higher to lower and lower to higher, as in the axiom “as above, so below, and as below, so above, in the manifestation of the One thing”.

       This creative process is also illustrated in the Tetragrammaton or Tetrad, as the four letter name of God, as will, intellect, feeling, and the manifestation of will. This process forms the symbolic basis for the four Elements of the material plane as fire (will), air (thought), water (sensation), and earth (manifestation). Naturally, there are only really two true Elements, that of fire (Higher Will that injects the archetypal idea) and water (subconscious conceives and reflects it), which together in a unified state produce air (thought as form) and its denser version of earth as it’s material manifestation or outer reflection.

Spirit as the Life-Power is always represented as air and breath, which is the unification of the feminine and masculine principles that form a functional whole. Together they work as a single entity. We inhale the outer, integrating and assimilating it into our molecular structure, then exhale infusing the outer reality with the molecules of our inner structure. There’s always a mutual exchange going on between the inner and outer, between the individual self and it’s greater self as the outer reality, which are comprised of the same substance. Will exists as the Higher, creative Soul that operates in dual aspects on the lower, more dense plane as intellect and feeling sensation that together form a unified whole as the etheric body or holographic blueprint as an inner imagined reality that produces the outer world as a material manifestation. Whatever we focus on and think about with emotional intensity forms a kind of request as a command to the Will of the Higher Self, which acts in a neutral and unbiased fashion to create it as an outer experience.

When we reside in a primarily unconscious state, we have no real awareness of our subconscious mind or our higher consciousness, and imagine the thoughts they produce and reflect in the mind as novel thought-forms to be our own willful creation. Yet because the self-conscious aspect has to choose the thoughts given to it by the Higher Mind (usually as a form of guidance or answer to an inquiry) and use its ability to develop them by continuing to think about and concentrate on them, it often doesn’t, and as a result they’re never allowed to take hold, and it reverts back instead to its redundant habitual way of thinking. Whenever the self-conscious rejects an idea and doesn’t allow it to be developed and grown in the imagination to fruition, it doesn’t act to use the idea to seed the subconscious, and it never manifests as part of its outer reality. This is often what happens when we ask for guidance from our Higher Self and when an idea comes to us intuitively in response to our request, we evaluate it momentarily to decide whether we like it or not, and if we don’t, we say “nope, this isn’t it”, usually because it didn’t show up the way we wanted it to. Then we go right back to asking for more guidance.

       Part of the problem many have is they have trouble telling the difference between ideas conceived from the Higher Mind and ideas received through the willful actions of others. The subconscious mind acts as the womb for any suggestion that’s allowed in and to take hold by the self-conscious mind. Whatever we give our attention to while in a passive state without discriminating or evaluating, and readily engage in by becoming a part of it and continuing to think about it, becomes a natural part of our thoughts and our perception of reality. This is most prevalent through various forms of entertainment and passive engagement where we surrender all resistance to the ideas we’re being fed and relinquish the need to discern them intuitively for meaning and accuracy, and as a result, they become a part of our natural thoughts and we think about them in a random and habitual manner. Usually without having any idea of what’s actually going on. Our mind is constantly accessing memory through association of various sorts. This is why songs frequently pop into our head out of nowhere and plays over and over, we imagine a scene in a movie we watched years ago, we think about the news we heard two days ago, we process the ideas of an article that we read over and over, and so on.

We all have the ability to self-create through our ability to choose or select ideas, then develop them by concentrating on them until we form them in our mind as a full, intense sensory reality that gives us an experience that develops them into an imaginary memory that impregnates the subconscious mind where it then becomes a natural part of our behaviors and outer reality, producing an experience of it as an analogy. We can likewise choose to actively develop qualities and characteristics that are latent within us as a means of self-development that evolves us to higher states of being. The ultimate goal of our higher soul is to achieve a state of self-perfection as a form of completion that actively utilizes all of our potential as the basis of being and creating. Who we become in our life is always a matter of choice and what it is we choose to give our attention to and concentrate on by thinking about repetitively. Whatever we choose to think about and create as an imaginary reality and life-like scenario, we impregnate our subconscious with as a pattern for producing as an experience through our activities.

The subconscious, once given an idea as an actual possibility for reality, begins taking action on it while connecting to that same idea in the greater subconscious mind of the material world as a primary form of telepathy or mental transmission. This is the same way instinct and intuition works.  A well-developed idea formed out of energetic essence in the imagination becomes magnetic and acts as a passive vehicle and receptor for electric energy of a complementary nature. It forms an organized pattern of primal matter (light essence) that becomes a holographic blueprint for creating that attracts and “draws in” consciousness as vibration that brings it to life through activity. All material form, whether imagined or actual, provides a kind of empty shell for consciousness to ensoul and bring to life as a vibratory frequency. Just as all frequencies have a pattern in it and a self-organizing force, all patterns as organized matter forms a frequency.  As an idea comes to life inside of us as a living form infused with strong emotions, and attracts and emanates an electromagnetic field, which are the natural forces of the mind that shapes matter as light-essence into material forms that serves as a vehicle for consciousness to express through, it acts to “vibrate” at a certain frequency that vibrates that same idea in everything else through sympathetic resonance, and reorganizes how the outer world “appears” as a composition to be analogous to the inner one. Matter only becomes organized into a fixed form when it’s being “observed” by a mind. When not being observed, it returns to a state of pure potential as a fluctuating field of information.

       All vibration has both a pattern as a living form inherent in it and a self-organizing force that shapes matter into the form of the pattern. How something functions is based on its energetic structure. Form always indicates the behavior, function and natural operations and activity the form takes on. As we think about and form an idea in our mind as a well-defined sensory reality coupled with a strong emotion that produces an inner experience of it as the “meaning” it has, we literally become “one with that idea in spirit” and we tune ourselves to its vibration. Our vibratory frequency is based on our emotional thoughts and what memories we live out of. All vibration as a pattern for producing life act to structure the same type of pattern on all scales and levels simultaneously as both an inner and outer, and an upper and lower, that function together as a unified whole or cohesive and coherent reality of the same nature. Whatever we think about and imagine with intensity we are “literally” creating as our life experiences and creating ourselves by way of those experiences.

When we begin waking up from our unconscious state and begin realizing how our own mind is operating on many different levels to create our entire material existence, we consciously move out of creating through repetitive patterns of past memories, and we can begin to intentionally determine what we focus on, give out attention to, and concentrate on instead. We can begin choosing who and how we’re going to be by intentionally embodying new qualities and characteristics as new ways of being that serve to transform us and our experiences of our self within a corresponding outer reality. We can begin realizing our full potential as a creator and begin acting on ourselves to intentionally create ourselves. We can learn how to consciously direct our attention into ideas that we want to become one as the means of self-creating. We can mentally blend only with ideas we want to become a part of our self and our experience of our self as our outer reality. We can begin using our mind the way it’s designed to be used to create ourselves as a higher, perfected, and glorified being.

Once we begin using universal ideas and archetypal memories born out of our true nature as the means of creating ourselves, we can begin vibrating at a higher level of consciousness that resonates with our Higher Self instead of our lower, unconscious, desire and impulsively driven self. When we strive towards self-perfection as the means of self-creation of our highest potential, we become aware of who and what we’re blending with energetically, and we tend to become steadily isolated from others because very few people are engaged in the same creative process in the same way or at the same level as we are. This is why the spiritual Adept and Initiate are symbolically portrayed as a Hermit. Higher consciousness is the awareness of the true self and the true nature of reality. Consciousness is the root and foundation of all physical manifestation. We are always the one creating our self and our experience of the outer world as a projection and correspondence to our inner world. All reality as we know it is formed out of our relationship with ourselves in everything else.

        From a purely psychological perspective, this is the state of being as the awareness that all volition is universal in nature, not personal. Whatever we choose to think about and become one with is brought into fruition through our Higher Will, which acts as a form of neutral force for creating whatever we ask for and have a predisposition for as an unconscious state that creates out of memory of the past. It’s the realization that the idea of “personal will” originating in the animal body as a function of the personality is an illusion. The material body, like all creatures of the animal kingdom is driven by instinct that comes as intuition and has no consciousness or creative will of its own, but merely acts as the vehicle of expression for the Will of the Higher Soul.

Because the intelligence of the Higher Will works through the intelligence of the lower mind and body, it creates the illusion of being the outcome of a personal effort and aspiration, while in reality it’s simply the final stage as the outcome of work initiated and carried out by the Life-Power Itself. The Great Truth is that the “heavenly man” (Archetypal Man) reproduces himself in the “earthly man”, symbolized by the archetypal “ideal” man of Adam Kadmon (Adam of the Bible), also called the “microcosm”. The Microcosm is a direct reflection of the Macrocosm on a smaller scale and plane because it’s comprised of and operates according to the same laws and principles. In this idea we find the truth hidden as a clue of the spiritual doctrine of the Christ as being “begotten, and not made”. Who was also described as being “in this world but not of it”. We find the meaning of Christ’s words when he said “of myself I am nothing, all power comes from my Father”. We are a reproduction of an original source and not created by our own hand. What we perceive as our physical make-up and concrete mind is but a vehicle and aspect of our higher source as our true nature.

All “original ideas” that are used to perfect the formation of our essential nature comes as a relationship with our immediate environment, what’s stimulated and brought out in us in response to it, and how we spontaneously develop as a result. The only thing that can be actively brought out in us is what’s there in latent form to begin with. We are never given something from another or from a source outside of us, nor do we ever acquire something we didn’t originally possess. The outer world only acts to stimulate, awaken and bring into an active state what exists in latent form within us that’s of the same universal nature. We perfect ourselves to a higher level of consciousness by overcoming emotionally driven instinctual tendencies and becoming aware and identified instead with our true Higher Self. Whatever we “choose” and give our attention to, we unite with in mind and become “like in nature”. By becoming aware of this natural process and choosing to focus exclusively on our Higher Nature, we perfect ourselves and transform into our Divine Nature, free of all internal conflict and indecision born out of an unconscious state.

The Art of Self-Creation and the Power of an “Ideal”

In order to “create” something in a deliberate and intentional manner, we have to start by formulating an idea of what it is we’re creating and why. As with any creative process, we have to start with an idea as an “ideal” of what we’re aspiring towards that moves us from a current condition or character, to a more desired one, that requires us to “transform” it. We have to create a firm idea of what we’re “acting on ourselves” to create. So in recognizing an undesirable trait or tendency, one that we don’t like and want to change, we have to simultaneously formulate in our mind the trait we want to replace it with. We have to form a clear idea of where, how, and who we are now, in our present state, and also where, who, and how we’ll be in our desired state. In this way, we take a common idea of ourselves and we evolve it into a higher state as a perfected and fully developed idea.

Many people have been taught to take a negative attitude towards the idea of “perfection”, usually interpreting it to mean someone else’s idea for us, or some kind of standard set by others or society in an attempt to make us “feel as if we’re never enough” and keeping us always trying to become what others (people, organizations, society) want us to be in order to fit in and conform, while of course, never really “measuring up”. But perfection in its positive use is a standard we create for ourselves, and use to hold ourselves to as a means of developing ourselves in very direct ways. To become the person we aspire to be, which only comes by way of our own will and the inherent ability to be self-determined through various means of self-discipline and devotion to a higher level of consciousness, obtainable only by way of our own hand. In order to grow and develop ourselves into a higher and more mature state, we have to form an idea of what that state is, and what current beliefs, attitudes, traits, tendencies, habits, behaviors, etc., prevent it or act to contradict it and therefore prevent it.

We then have to form an idea of how those traits need to be transformed by employing complementary and opposite traits in their stay. All transformation, which is really a process of equilibrating forces that are active in our life, is undertaken through an understanding of sympathy and antipathy. By realizing and deciding which characteristics we’re currently employing that prevent us from becoming who we desire to be and know, because of this innate desire, we can employ the lawful process for changing it in a conscious and deliberate way. So knowing this, we have to learn how to undergo a creative process of any kind by first employing a detailed idea of what we’re actually creating, as well as what aspects we’ll transform as a means of creating it. Then we can use each end of the equation to evaluate our progress from one idea to another.

        An ideal is where we take a basic idea and we develop it to be the best it can be in all aspects that are involved in composing it, so that it requires activation and use of our highest potential in order to achieve. It can also come as a process of removing activity from a potential currently being expressed, and bringing latent, unused potential into being by embodying it, making it active in us, then using it in our life to create experiences of a new and different nature. But either way, what we’re talking about as a form of basic growth and development is a process of transformation from what is to what will be, as an evolutionary process that we initiate and undertake by way of will, imagination, and action. Anything that’s created in an intentional manner has to first be imagined. We’re only truly capable of doing what we can first imagine ourselves doing. By imagining it first as an experience of it, by way of the reality of it, we produce the means for actually acting it out and “becoming it” as a result.

So all self-creation is a form of transformation because we’re always starting with or working out of our “self” as already created, to continue the creative process of intentionally becoming. How we are created initially takes place as a natural, predominately unconscious process of formative conditioning, that’s sets the basis for what’s referred to as our “second birth” or “spiritual awakening”, where we pick up the unconscious process of self-creation, and produce it, undertake it with a sense of awareness where we deliberately shape ourselves through the conscious engagement of unconscious processes. This process of transformation from an unconscious state to one of self-awareness, where we realize how we’ve been shaped through various processes up to this point, we can work by way of the same processes while maintaining full awareness and exercising various forms of discipline to control what was previously operating as unconscious tendencies and employing conscious ones in their place.

Any idea that’s not turned into an “ideal”, requiring you to aspire towards it, kills the life-force within you as your creative will, while every idea that’s made into an ideal as the highest possibility for that idea, requires conscious use of your life-force and willpower in order to create it. In order to grow and develop ourselves in new ways, we have to awaken and make active what was up to this point latent within us as unused potential. If we choose not to, and simply keep living out of our “conditioned self”, created in a haphazard way by others through a form of default due to our upbringing, then these forces as latent potential remain dormant and eventually become inaccessible because our identity becomes so habituated and fixed, that we can’t imagine ourselves being any other way, or we become so identified with our stories as a way of being, that we can’t (don’t want to) let go of them, because we won’t “know who we are” without them. At this point in our life, usually mid-life, change at the most fundamental level becomes an identity crisis that can throw us into a tail-spin that we never fully recover from.

       To develop ourselves through our spiritual consciousness, is to return our “fixed mindset” to a fluid creative state where we’re always in the process of becoming by systematically employing new perspectives and new behaviors that cultivate new aspects within us, making us fluent, lean, and flexible, and able to readily adapt to new situations by employing the behaviors most appropriate for creating in that situation as a primary means of personal growth that increases our capacity for expression and maximizes our full potential.

So when becoming conscious and self-aware of your own life, and commanding your creative abilities to self-create, you must start by creating an ideal of yourself as perfected or as your “highest possibility” for utilizing your full potential. This ideal becomes a vision for your life as an image of yourself in terms of how you sense yourself and the identity you form by way of it. To create standards as a form of “moral code” that you hold yourself to without compromising, is the key to higher, intentional development that prevents you from cowering or changing your mind mid-stream when maintaining the new standard is inconvenient or hard to do.

Once this ideal of yourself is firmly formed in your mind it provides a template for designing a strategy for implementing and creating it. This strategy needs to be broken down into a step-by-step process of logical progression that’s implemented gradually and consistently in stages and by working with single aspects at a time that make up the whole, and setting a time-frame for accomplishing one before moving onto another. The accomplishment of one transformed trait lays the foundation necessary for the next as a synchronistic flow as growth that lays the foundation of an accumulative, building process.

       Change that takes place gradually, is readily integrated and synthesized into your mental paradigm, and can be attained without an arduous struggle or heavy sense of suffering, which always accompanies change of our fundamental habits or ways of being. Because of a new awareness of what we previously engaged in without awareness acts to amplify or increase the feelings involved, or the forces at work that served to motivate and maintain the behavior, giving us a heightened sense around them, that also gives us a stronger sense of struggling to exercise direct control over them by abstaining or refraining, while simultaneously replacing them with new behaviors that take a while to grow accustomed to and fail to satisfy the reasons we had for producing and maintaining the old behavior now being transformed.  A new behavior has to be implemented willfully for a period of time, roughly forty days or six weeks, before it becomes natural, build into the muscle, and we begin doing it in an automatic fashion.

Once it (the new behavior) becomes natural and easy to maintain, we’re ready to implement another step. We should not do more than one at a time, because concentrated thought is the key to manifesting physical realities as the expression of an idea, and we want to avoid creating a feeling of suffering, or missing and longing for what we’re giving up. One of the most notorious ways we sabotage ourselves right from the beginning, is by attempting to much change all at once, which makes it overwhelming and creates a feeling of constant struggle and suffering that makes the change seem ungratifying or somehow worse than the previous state.

Change undertaken gradually allows for constant modifications to our paradigm, which then acts to naturally produce and maintain the change as a part of our normal consciousness. Trying to change too much to fast doesn’t establish the paradigm necessary to naturally produce and maintain as a natural and automatic function the new way of being. Once a paradigm shift takes place through the integration of the small change, it’s modified to be able to support continued change as a growth process that actually becomes the same as the change. The change also describes, expresses and defines the paradigm as being of the same nature and thereby producing the same experience as a reality, actualization, and outer perception of the change.

       This transformative process operates according to law and is the case whether we’re talking about a person, relationship, situation, or business. Change that’s gradual is easily incorporated and goes unnoticed. It’s readily adapted and adjusted to as a form of equalization that reinstates harmony within the system, setting the foundation necessary for the next step of a larger process to be implemented, again, allowing for it to be incorporated and act to make a slight modification as a synchronized movement that acts naturally to adjust the whole system to support it. If change is introduced without allowing time for adjustment and modification as a new function requiring the whole system, then as soon as it hits a point where it’s not supported, the system “acts on it” (the change) to transform it according to the system, back into its original behavior.

All natural processes are produced by our paradigm and our capacity to create in a way that’s consistent and thoroughly maintained, which only comes by way of our paradigm. All “permanent change” requires modification and reformation of our mental paradigm. Without it, at some point, we relapse and fall back into the old behavior and way of doing things. All change should be designed by us, because it’s only us that have the true ability to act on ourselves to create ourselves. All change needs to work in harmony with natural tendencies already inherent in us or our system, in a harmonious manner of cooperation, by simply employing those same tendencies in a new manner and by way of new means. Change that goes against our nature and contradicts our values and beliefs, can’t actually be produced by us in a natural fashion, nor maintained for any extended period of time. So the “ideal” created as a “model” for self-creating, should always comply and be harmonious with our values and beliefs, or we should start by addressing our values and beliefs by examining them thoroughly, identifying where the contradiction takes place, then adjust all aspects until they are congruent with one another, and interact in a harmonious fashion to produce the same experience of reality.

        We also have to notice what emotions play out in any situation and act to control not only our thought process, but also our automatic behaviors. If we have strong emotions that contradict and undermine what we’re attempting to implement, then the emotions tend to win out by sabotaging all conscious efforts. We have to instead identify our own emotional reactions to certain ideas, gaining awareness around them, and then forming new associations to our desired change, removing triggers around them that activate negative emotions in response to them, while intentionally associating positive emotions to our desired change. Making the idea compelling by infusing it with positive emotions and associations is crucial for producing change out of a strong desire for it while associating very positive and gratifying ideas or experiences with it. This also acts to create how we experience the change, which is the same feeling we infuse the reality of the change with, which its accomplishment or attainment will simply act to give us more of that same feeling.

The change desired should always be undertaken with a sense of enthusiasm and form of excitement that forms a kind of joy and contentment around it. In this way, once the change is established as our reality, it gives us more of that same feeling. If we pursue something from an experience of stress, worry, or feeling overwhelmed, attaining it simply keeps the feeling going through the attempt to maintain it. We have to not only serve to “create it”, but also act naturally and without thought or effort to “maintain it”.

The feeling we form around an idea, shapes how we experience that idea as a personal reality. So it’s important to gain awareness around the reason for the change. What the change will give us, allow, how we’ll benefit from it, and what will it allow us to do that we currently can’t, and so on. So if we decide, for example, to transform fear of some kind into courage, we have to identify how we’ll benefit from that and what it will produce in our life as a result. We have to cultivate the idea of courage in a way that makes us fall in love with ourselves for being that way. We have to focus all of our attention away from what made us feel afraid and onto how we’ll benefit by creating the experience of courage and what it’ll bring into our life as a result. We have to actively and intentionally choose courage in place of fear, and act it out in order to change our experience of ourselves and reality as a result.

A New Way of Understanding the True Nature of the Subconscious Mind

We Exist in a Primary State of Self-Hypnosis where we Self-Create and Form all of our Life Experiences

The most basic principle governing the mind (and energy) is the idea of “one entity” existing in three fundamental aspects. The mind of an individual exists in what we call 3 basic aspects that move from greater to smaller, and from universal (non-local) to personal (local). The 3 aspects of our mind are traditionally called our Higher mind, lower mind, and individual mind; which also correspond to the Super-conscious, subconscious and self-conscious minds, or the spirit, soul, and body. Of these 3 aspects, 2 emerge out of the greater mind and into the lower material dimension where they function in the material world as a body and mind. The Super-conscious remains on a higher plane that oversees the lower and acts as the choreographer for the 2 lower minds and their life experiences. This is represented in religion as the trinity, and in Sacred Geometry as the Triad, which is symbolized by the triangle or pyramid, with the upper single point that divides to form the 2 lower points that are on the “same plane” and exist as parallel opposites of the same line, both forming a right angle to the upper, single point. This diagram represents the 3 in 1 law , as the one entering into matter (lower plane), and dividing forming and electromagnetic field as complementary opposites of the same vibration or entity (the story of Adam being divided forming dual aspects as masculine and feminine), and also the Yin and Yang, where 2 complementary opposites form a greater whole.

The basic activity governing all law is the concept of the “one” (Monad) birthing all others as inner aspects of itself that form a growth process of becoming, or spontaneously emerging “out of each other” as an unfolding or invisible center giving rise to the visible form as the inner becoming the basis for the outer. The inner as the feminine aspect is impregnated with (contains in seed form) the masculine, and the masculine rises “out of” (is birthed by) the feminine forming the outer expression of the same nature. The masculine is the extension and outer reflection of the feminine. This is symbolized in religion by the “Madonna (sometimes “black”, representing inner) and the male child (usually “white” representing the outer)” as her offspring. This primary universal law of the one with three aspects, exists equally on all levels and scales of existence as a relationship with itself in everything else, and as the life and death cycle that governs the lower material plane. Yet the Higher self/mind, which is never a part of the lower material plane, is eternal in nature and never dies, but continues evolving through various forms of itself in relationship with everything else.

The soul as an individual mind or entity, first unfolds and descends into the material body as the subconscious mind, which operates the body in a purely automatic and natural manner and gives life to the body. The subconscious is the passive and receptive (feminine) aspect that carries the seed of the self-conscious (masculine) mind within it, and slowly births the conscious mind through a natural process of “becoming” by forming its identity out of the relationship it forms with the outer material world. What we call the “conscious mind” as our self-awareness emerges out of the subconscious mind as an outer aspect of it (masculine), which forms its identity as its “self-image” or self-awareness by identifying with the body as having a purely material existence, which forms what we call the false ego (identity). Our conscious mind, which is our “thinking, projecting and storytelling mind” is completely identified with the body out of which it forms as a natural offspring. The Higher mind resides fully on a higher plane, is singular in nature (androgynous) and contains both the masculine and feminine aspects of the “self” (whole being), which remains fully identified with its spiritual and eternal existence. Every human being, whether male or female in gender, are dual in nature and possess both feminine and masculine aspects as an active and passive component that stimulate and interact with one another forming a unified experience of material reality as the inner subconscious mind and the outer self-conscious mind.

As the complementary opposites of each other they also exist in a fundamental state of paradox, governed by what appears to be contradictory ideas that embody opposite aspects as a fundamental part of a unified reality and possessing both qualities (masculine and feminine) within themselves, that only “appears to be” separate and dual in nature. While the subconscious is body oriented and runs all biological activities of the body in a completely automatic fashion, it doesn’t “identify” with the body, but rather maintains an integral relationship with the whole of the outer world, failing to perceive itself as separate. The conscious mind, born out of the subconscious at puberty, forms a concept of itself as separate from everything else and as identified (sensing itself) with the body, seeing itself as an individual. The subconscious is what we could call the greater mind as the mind-field of the body, which extends quite some distance from the body, and is always in the process of blending with the consciousness of everything around it as what we call “mass consciousness”, the instinctual field, or the morphological field, and is undergoing the same metabolic process of absorbing energy of a similar nature, being impregnated by its consciousness, becoming one with it, digesting it, and reforming itself through the incorporation.

Aspects of the mind exist as fields nested within greater fields, all interacting and taking on qualities of consciousness that it resonates with. Because the mind is subtle and electromagnetic in nature, as it extends out into the environment, it magnetizes and draws into itself from the environment the same qualities that it possesses in its complementary and opposite form. As it draws in and resonates with the same quality of consciousness in everything else, it changes its vibration through the integration as a means of harmonizing with it, and acquiring new aspects of the same qualities transforms (morphs) to become like those qualities. We’re always taking on and digesting the compatible consciousness of everything around us, and adjusting to become of the same consciousness. This energy exchange is constantly going on without our direct awareness of it. As we take on the energy of everything around us, modifying our mind accordingly, it changes our state and who we are internally. As we change internally through the acquisition and incorporation of complementary energies, we morph and transform, and begin acting out those qualities through behaviors and activities. As we begin behaving differently, and sensing ourselves by way of our new behaviors and way of being which forms our experiences, our identity changes by way of them.

So whatever environment we exist in, we are in the process of becoming like. Whomever we live with or associate with on a regular basis, we gradually become similar to by taking on the same qualities and mind-set while engaging in the same kind of activities with a similar attitude, and forming the same type of behaviors as a result. This is one of the most fundamental laws known as transformation and evolution to different states of being as a relationship between the inner and the outer. The inner effects and transforms the outer, and the outer effects and transforms the inner in a flowing back and forth movement. There’s always a dynamic play going on as stimulus-response between the masculine and the feminine energies within the same mind or quality of consciousness that ultimately forms our individuality.

Likewise, the relationship between higher and lower planes, which are parallel, yet at right angles to each other, form a paradoxical relationship between group consciousness of a species and being one with everyone else, and our individuality as our ability to perceive ourselves as separate from everyone else, and honoring our own awareness and experiences instead of giving them up in favor of adopting other people’s ideas. The group mind, which is invested in the same consciousness and behaviors, much like the instinct of animals who are driven without thought and move in herds as a single unit, is a basic aspect of the lower, subconscious mind which is an inherent part of the material plane and the outer environment, and because it’s passive in nature, it takes on and expresses whatever suggestion it’s given and accepts it without question. This is the conditioned mind that’s trained to the mentality of the group, and lacks the desire or ability to contrast it instead and think for themselves. The subconscious forms all behaviors as automatic or habitual tendencies that we act out without having to think about or exercise our creative power of choice and free will.

In order to become self-aware and exercise our power or choice and the will to act out our choice in an intentional and deliberate manner, we have to learn how to dissociate from everything around us, recognize and release our attachment to our material existence as a bodily identification, and venture out on our own by learning how to question everything, think for ourselves, form our own perceptions by exercising reason and honoring our own inner awareness, and in doing so, start becoming aware of our true self. Our conscious mind when identifying itself as the body, and creating an image of itself through purely material means, bonds itself to the material plane and a false identity. It’s false because its existence in a specific material body is temporary, and so that which is formed out of it is temporary also and dies with the body. Once we no longer have a body and the conditions and relationships it existed within, we don’t know “who” we are, and immediately gravitate into another body seeking a sense of ourselves again through a body. In this way, we fail to ascend to higher levels of consciousness in the spiritual realm, which is where our true identity lies. Whatever we “identify with”, we bond with energetically by becoming one with it, sensing our “self” through it, and remain attached to.

Like all divine paradoxes, the idea within the material realm is to utilize our conscious (thinking and willful) mind to program (give suggestion to) our subconscious mind to become an individual by self-creating, and yet all divine communication as spiritual guidance comes through the subconscious mind as a passive medium, and is recognized by the conscious mind as “direction and guidance” coming from a higher authority. In order to transcend our lower, animal-like nature we need to separate ourselves from the group mind and take conscious control of our own development, which we do “through” the subconscious mind, which is the “active mind” of the material plane, and the self-conscious mind, when identified properly, is the active aspect of the spiritual plane, and so the conscious mind gives direction to the subconscious instructing it on how to be and what to do “as” the passive vehicle for the higher-self. The subconscious mind is the power house of the material plane and forms all of our bodily functions and produces our actions and behavior, which is what “creates in the material world”. The conscious mind, which is pure thought that creates reality by thinking and making up stories about it, is similar to the spiritual aspect of the mind that works within the invisible realm of pure thought and ideas, and has the ability to be what “causes” the material realm and directs all behavior and operations through a form of trance and suggestion, but of course, it has to “know it can”, and act to prevent its own tendency to use the power of thought to create fantasy worlds out of beliefs that are dissociated from actual reality as a form of escape or mis-creation instead.

The relationship between our subconscious and conscious mind works exactly like a hypnotic process. Our subconscious is always in a form of “trance” as a passive and receptive state, and our conscious mind which is “thought oriented”, gives the subconscious “suggestions” as thoughts that are imagined as an actual reality. So what we think about and imagine as if it were an actual experience or material reality, plants a seed in the subconscious mind as the “potential” and request or desire for an actual experience of reality. This imagined thought, which the subconscious mind perceives in much the same way as an actual memory, is a form of “command or directive” for the subconscious mind to produce more of by “attracting and absorbing” it from the environment, while producing the behavior of it at the same time. By producing the behavior associated with the thought, the conscious mind forms its identity around and out of how it senses itself through the behaviors, and identifies with its own self-created experience. As the subconscious is “programmed” with the idea of the thought, and seeks to “find and blend with that same idea all around it”, we find ourselves meeting people and in situations and circumstances that orchestrate and act out the idea as a living (material) reality. Matter takes on consciousness and becomes the vessel or vehicle for that consciousness to express in the material world as an “actual” experience. Through the experiences we create by what we think about, we simultaneously create ourselves by way of those experiences.

Transcending to a Higher Level of Consciousness

Moving from Personal Consciousness to Superconsciousness

The first thing we’d have to establish when contemplating this idea as “levels of consciousness”, is what does “higher” mean? Higher, in this case means non-personal or in service of humanity (as a whole) and not for selfish reasons or personal gain of the individual. It’s referring to more of an expanded awareness that encompasses all of life, rather than one single or personal aspect of it. In order to understand this we can look at the meaning of “kingdoms”, which can be looked at as interwoven and interdependent levels of life that all function together forming a unified ecology created and operated by law in which one level arises spontaneously out of the preceding one, and is dependent on it, while also transcending it in terms of intelligence and complexity. One entire kingdom forms the foundation for the next one, and the next ones evolves into a more complex and sophisticated life forms that attract and employ higher forms of consciousness that grow and animate it, giving it greater mental capabilities. Together they form a hierarchical structure as an overall growth and development process where each level expands on the entirety of the preceding level through a growth and development process that evolves it to higher levels of intelligence.

This is easy to understand when we look at the mineral kingdom which provides the foundation and nutriments for the plant kingdom, which together provide the foundation and ecology necessary for the animal kingdom, out of which emerges the human kingdom, which provides the foundation for the divine kingdom of pure spiritual consciousness that perceives humanity as a whole rather than from the perspective of being “in it” and a part of it, and thinks and perceives in a much more expanded and non-personal manner. The purely spiritual world, that doesn’t have a physical existence within the material plane, is not a part of the hierarchy of the material world, but transcends it, and is not dependent on it, but is the “creator” of the entire lower material world, and is what actually gives it “life”. So the entire material world is dependent on the spiritual for its formation and activity.

When we reside fully in the material world, that’s perceived only through material objects, we sense ourselves through out body as our individual personality and life circumstances, and we become identified with our bodily existence. We think this is who we are, and not only acquire material modes of consciousness, but we’re literally driven by a sense of gratification and desire for material possessions and social status, as a way of elevating ourselves and forming deep attachments to our material identity, which bonds us to the material plane. We can spend our whole life seeking pleasure as sensory gratification, and living out of personal agendas as primarily unconscious conditioning or material contamination.

Higher consciousness, as I’m referring to here, moves out of the “personalized” perspective and mind-set, and into a universal perspective that has no identity investment in material things. It doesn’t mistaken the physical body as being “who” it is, but knows fully that the body is a dead object that’s moved and made active (given life) by the soul spirit that employs it. The soul lives independent of the body, but the body is dependent on the spirit soul for life. The soul transcends the body, and simply steps out of the body, or releases attachment at the time death, causing the body to no longer be “held together” and operated by the soul, at which time it begins disintegrating. It’s no longer alive. The soul spirit, which was the conscious energy of the body remains “alive” and intact on a higher, parallel plane, where it then migrates to whatever dimension it identifies or resonates with.

In order to acquire or become more conscious, or achieve a higher level of consciousness, one has to start by first desiring it enough to do the work it takes to achieve it. This comes through self-awareness and realization of your own tendencies and attachments to material ideas and objects. It comes by becoming aware of unconscious conditioning that produces automatic reactive behavior, and gaining control over your senses and emotional states, all of which are acting to “control you” and render your spirit servant to them. By learning to recognize any compulsive urges that are sensory in nature and the need to control through an attachment to outcomes or specific results, we can begin to realize how we’re being controlled by various forms of material contamination or the will of others.

Reactive behavior renders us unconscious where we repeat habitual patterns based on our conditioning and personal agendas. The need to control and get other people to do what we “want” them to do, comes from an attachment of some form, usually designed to meet a perceived need of some sort, and not only works against law by trying to control other peoples will with no concern for them, but is the engagement of karma which simply repeats unconscious tendencies with no real awareness of what you’re doing. Wanting and outwardly attempting to manipulate and coerce others and situations to do and go the way you want (need) them to, is a basic form of ignorance that keeps people tied to their material existence and the illusion of being the lord over others.

Whatever we identify with, we become like. Our identity is formed by how we create our experiences by the meaning we give things through the story we tell ourselves about them, then get a sense of ourselves within those experiences, or as the main character and author of our own story. When we identify with our bodily existence, our past, our role, our relationships, social status, and so on, and we spend most, if not all of our time questing after “things”, after pleasures, sensory gratification and power to control, we become identified with our own illusions of what will make us happy and finally satisfy us. Naturally it doesn’t take long to realize, even when we are able to control and provide ourselves with desired objects and pleasures, that we’re still not happy, and sometimes less satisfied than ever before. All suffering takes place through our attachments to the material world in which we experience birth, death, disease, trauma, tragedy, lack of fulfillment, emotional highs and lows, and growing old. No matter what we accomplish in the material world, it’s only temporary. The soul however, is eternal, and gets locked into the material bonds through mistaken identity, and acquiring the karma of forgetting its true identity and constitution, and chooses instead to be controlled by the very thing it sought to control.

The practice that initiates the evolution of consciousness comes by learning how to control the material realm, instead of letting it control you. It comes from self-reflection that allows realization of your own tendencies and conditioning as the motive behind your desires, and willfully breaking the patterns by letting go of your attachments, and making new choices instead. We can only consciously work with what we’re aware of. The first step to personal growth is becoming aware of what operates “in you” without you being fully aware of it. It’s refraining from reactive behaviors, while self-reflecting instead. It’s using your will to resist sensory gratification when you know its going to be bad for you, or cause something that’s degrading in nature. It’s recognizing when you have a strong attachment to something, and feel a need to somehow control it to make things go the way you want them to, which may be at all what’s best for everyone involved, let alone for yourself. It’s recognizing your own tendencies to be selfish and inconsiderate of others, and acting out in selfish, self-absorbed ways that hurt and harm others, and cause negative reactions. It’s about removing your focus from other people and external circumstances and becoming instead fully aware of what you’re doing and why. It’s learning how to exercise constant control over yourself, regardless of what others are doing or how they’re being, and gain full control over desires, impulses, and urges that are strictly for sensory gratification, so you can make intelligent decisions instead. Ones that work for the best of everyone involved.

But again, this is only the initial step in what is actually a gradual transformative process that requires devotional practice within your daily life . . . .
