“13” – The Principle of Death, Regeneration, and Birth

There’s probably no number or idea that has been consistently misinterpreted to instill fear as a misunderstanding of the principle involved than this one. Yet by examining the occult meaning of this number we can gain a new understanding of the universal law it represents as the means of liberation for the human soul. The principle of death is called “Nun” and represents “motion” and its primary function is to walk, travel, depart, pass away, whirl, and to sail away or travel through water. The process of the soul’s transition at death is often depicted as traveling on a boat through water moving from one shore to another.

Movement produces life giving change and is the means for transformation as modifications that produce variations as a growth process. It’s represented by the symbol of the “fish” as the “Vesica Piscis” or “womb of the universe” out of which all things are born, and by the serpent, which is both the redeemer and the messiah. The fish and serpent (ligand and yoni) symbols are paramount to the doctrines of resurrection and reincarnation. Christ was represented by the symbol of the fish. Death is also symbolized by the sideways 8, the sign of infinity, and represents the “twin phases of life” as cyclical elastic movement between higher and lower planes. Only through death of the old can we be reborn in a higher form.

Sacred Geometry and the Principles of the Tarot

 All numbers provide us with a form of code as the laws involved in any process as a formula for how to work with it consciously. 1 + 3 = 4, as we withdraw attention (key 1) from an idea, it “frees up” the energy being used to give it life, making it available for directing into something else. As we direct the free energy as our attention into something else and develop it internally in our imagination (Key 3), we give life to the new idea and a form of transformation takes place. When we change our thoughts and what we give our energy to, we change what manifests as a result (Key 4). When we change the groundwork out of which we build our reality, the reality itself changes as a direct correspondence.

13 = “regenerative power” as fertility, fecundity, and productiveness that sprouts and grows new ideas as both internal and external realities. When we act to change a “cause” (mental awareness) we change the “effect” in exact proportion and equal measure. Whatever the nature of our most intimate thoughts always produce an equivalent outer reality. As we concentrate on an idea we bring it to life in our imagination and develop it into a detail scenario by shaping and defining it with specific attributes and qualities. As we develop ideas in our imagination by continuing to think about them we shape them into “internal representations” that serve as a metaphorical template that we look through in order to perceive the same type of ideas in our outer environment.

When we remove our attention from an idea and no longer act to give it life inside of us, it passes from our awareness freeing up our attention to be directed into something new. As we infuse a new idea with that same energy we adapt it to our current model to produce a new thought that gestates in our imagination until we eventually birth it as a new experience of reality. This principle is represented by a “swirling motion” (vibration) as a wheel or circular movement that symbolizes the life-cycle of an idea. Once an idea is manifest and its expression exhausted, a cycle is complete, and it lays the groundwork necessary for a new one to emerge in its place as a growth process of continuous transformation and regeneration.

13 is represented by the water element and is oriented in the south-west direction (of Metatron’s cube), and is often symbolized as a river and a boat sailing on the river as a means of crossing over from one side to the other. Water is symbolic of the “Mother substance” of life and is the ultimate symbol of transformation. It’s the Astral Light of the formative plane that’s elastic and fluid-like and is what shapes the etheric body as the blueprint for all living forms. Water rises from the sea (universal source) to become clouds that move across the landscape descending as rain, forming lakes and rivers that then flow back to the sea from whence it came. Life is a continuous process of transformation from one state to another, where we expand and express, then retract and process, then repeat the process indefinitely.

13 is associated with the zodiac sign of Scorpio, which is a water sign, and is exalted in Uranus (higher Soul), and governs the sex organs associated with reproduction and regeneration, and is connected with the 8th house of death. Scorpio is symbolic of transformation as 3 phases or states that form 1 evolutionary cycle. These 3 phases of development are represented by a scorpion while in its lowest phase of development, a serpent in its middle phase, and the eagle in its highest phase. 13 comes as the completion of 11 (karma), the fulfillment of 12 (self-sacrifice of initiation), and the undulation of 14 (creating a new vibration). The serpent represents the male energy, and the fish represents the yoni as the womb through which we give birth.

The mode of intelligence represented by 13 is “imaginative intelligence” (3) and reveals that all causation is mental in nature (1), and is birthed, transformed, and evolved into new forms through the faculty of the imagination (Key 3) to produce an equivalent physical manifestation (Key 4) as its offspring. All change comes by evolving ideas in the imagination to form new variations, or by birthing new ideas in place of old ones. We change ourselves by changing the thoughts and memories we use as the means of shaping ourselves. All personal change comes as a change in mental imagery. If you change the mental image the external form will change accordingly.

When the forces of change are misunderstood by the very mind that’s designed to direct them, they tend to cause fear. These forces of Nature are connected with reproduction and by right use of the imagination may be tamed and transformed so they can be utilized for the prolongation of life. Through understanding and correct use of the laws involved we can consciously direct the forces of change in overcoming death. In order for the correct understanding to be achieved, fear of death and dying must be overcome through right knowledge and the proper interpretation of physical dissolution. It’s not the soul that dies with the body, but only the identity formed in association with the personality of the body. The etheric body used to construct and operate the physical body of the personality dies with the body, while the soul ascends to a parallel plane. The human soul is in a constant state of growth and development as a means of self-creation and considers the confinement of a mundane life within an animal body to be true death. When the body dies the soul that inhabits it and gives it life is set free.

The skeleton is the image associated with 13 and is considered the physical organ of the soul’s essence (marrow). The skeleton of the body is necessary for movement and change from one place to another and transformation. It’s the framework that supports the whole body of physical existence. The soul’s essence, so to speak, resides in the bone marrow and is what produces the blood cells that nourish all other organs and systems of the body. Our blood chemistry is formed as an expression of our soul’s mental state, perceptions, and memory. As we create experiences and form reactions to our own thoughts, we’re constantly transforming the chemistry of our body to be of the same nature. What we consider the “veil” or mask that lies between life and death is perpetuated through change, transformation, and the soul’s passage from lower to higher planes as an continuous flow of consciousness.

The word “Nun” has growth and development for its basic meaning, symbolizing perpetuity as a continuous evolutionary process. In Biblical texts, Joshua was the son of Nun, and the great hero that Jesus was named after. Jesus was known as having 12 disciples (archetypes of zodiac) and was the 13th as the highest level of mastery that integrated them all in a harmonious state of self-perfection. In the 49th (4+9=13) chapter of Genesis (genes of Isis), Jacob is referred to as the “blessing” and described as the fruitful bough by the well whose branches run over the wall. It takes 49 days for the pineal gland (seat of the soul) to fully develop in the fetus, which governs the sexual organs of regeneration and is the means for accessing the “well of divine knowledge” of the higher dimensions from which the soul originates. It takes at least 49 days for the soul to be reborn in another body. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead, the transition through the “death phase” of life takes 49 days to complete.

The number 7 represents a complete unit of light as well as a complete cycle necessary (7 x 7 = 49 = 13 = 4) as the means of transmigrating into a new physical body. The entire cosmic order that’s written in the stars has liberation as its basis. It always tends towards freedom of the soul from the confinement of a single personality. The most common ideal shared by all humans as a basic motivation is freedom. As we adopt an “ideal” it becomes the object of our worship and we strive to become it. Jesus represented the “ideal man” and demonstrated the path of liberation as purifying and perfecting ourselves by employing virtuous qualities as the means of creating our self. All universal wisdom reveals that the entire cosmic order is designed as a dynamic process of creative freedom. Those who develop themselves to be virtuous in nature work to liberate their own soul while also serving the greater good of all mankind. As our soul ascends to higher dimensions by way of our deeds we blaze the pathway for others to follow.

There isn’t any force in the universe that’s hostile towards man or that acts to produce insurmountable obstacles to our freedom. All universal laws, when properly understood, provide the intelligence necessary for liberating ourselves from the ignorance of our own conditioning. Fear inhibits our ability to understand and causes us to imprison our soul in illusions of our own making. We only truly love what we understand, and understanding casts out all fear. It’s only through love that all higher knowledge is revealed to us. Through a deeper understanding of the law of death, comes freedom from the fear of death. Death is what allows the passing away of old ideas allowing new ones to be born in their place, and is the instrument of growth and development as a continuous evolutionary process of becoming our highest potential.

Psychological Application

Psychologically the emphasis is on the will and our ability to choose what we focus on and dwell in mentally and emotionally. Whatever we imagine in vivid sensory detail and concentrate on we impregnate ourselves with. As we change the ideas we use to shape and define ourselves, our old conception dies allowing us to form a new one in its place, and we grow ourselves accordingly. As our body constantly undergoes a natural process of death and regeneration, we’re programming our new cells with our thoughts and perceptions. Every few years we have a completely new body. Even our skeleton completely regenerates every 7 years. With the passing away of old cells a new generation of cells are formed to take their place. In the nucleus of every cell is implanted a subconscious response to your new patterns that provide the impulse to realize a new thought in the body’s structure and how it functions. Any cells that don’t die naturally and continue to grow and multiply instead, becomes a cancer that eventually kills the whole system. Death is a necessary part of life.

Through the realization of Key 12 (the Initiate) as surrendering your lower self to a higher ideal, your personality dies and a complete transformation takes place. In reality we die daily and are constantly deciding, although usually without awareness, what is born in its place. As we go to sleep every night we die to the day that’s ending and are resurrected every morning to begin a new day. Through the natural process of cell death, all of our old motives, petty ambitions, foolish opinions and prejudices gradually die out and their memory eliminated in the normal course of physical repair and rejuvenation. Little by little through a gradual process of transformation there’s a complete adjustment of one’s personal conceptions and the values we use to give life its meaning.

As we change our perspective (Key 12) from a personal one to a more universal one, the change can be so drastic that mystics the world over have come to refer to it as the “death of the self”. It’s by death and regeneration of the body cells that patterns created in the imagination become fixed in personal consciousness. Whatever consciousness we cultivate by way of imagined thoughts are literally embedded in our flesh. Our soul’s consciousness determines our health and nature of our physical existence. We know scientifically that our genes are programmed by our perceptions and our physical world is the manifestation of our soul’s consciousness. The key to creating within the material world lies in our ability to program our own subconscious mind.

Our subconscious is the unified mind that we share with all of humanity and the natural world. Our subconscious is constantly influencing the subconscious everyone and everything around us. As we telepathically influence the mind of everyone around us, they in turn act to program their own DNA so that everything forms a unified reality in a consistent and harmonious manner.  Memory as patterns of information imprinted in the astral light of the collective unconscious is what forms all physical structures and natural behaviors. By reforming our memory, we reform our mental and physical structure in a corresponding manner. Whatever we sow, we also reap. We experience every part and perspective of a much larger group dynamic. Every life time we play a different role in the same idea and develop ourselves accordingly. Death is the reaper where we turn the tables and experience life from a new perspective.

Interpreting the Numbers

In Sacred Geometry, which is the main mathematical system of the sacred sciences, all ideas formed as a well-defined sensory reality in the imagination produce an equivalent (and opposite) material manifestation. All numbers are a kind of code as a formula of the laws operating in a situation that provide us with the means for being able to work with it consciously. The formula is the intuitive basis for understanding the operation and process of creation that’s involved. We can only utilize intelligently what we understand practically. All conscious creation comes through practical use of universal laws.

1 + 3 = 4 – This code shows us the primary laws involved that are necessary for us to utilize in order to create in a conscious and intentional manner. 1 = Monad as the “mind” exists as a mental paradigm and has the ability to select an complementary idea that it then projects into the imagination of the subconscious where it’s concentrated on and developed into a coherent physical form. 3 = Triad as the imagination, which is the faculty of the mind used to develop an idea inwardly as a thought that becomes the etheric (shaped out of light-essence) template for projecting outwardly to form a corresponding physical manifestation. 4 = Tetrad, the number that represents material reality is produced as a “reflection” of the internal idea that becomes the “lens” through which we perceive that same idea as an outer reality. Both the inner and outer material world is the manifestation of the soul’s consciousness on multiple scales and planes simultaneously.

The same process that’s used to reshape reality as a correspondence to existing memory is also used to transform it. All memory is created by imagining a situation internally as a representation (personal interpretation) of an event, which becomes a kind of metaphorical theme that’s then replayed in the imagination over and over as a primary form of programming ourselves to consistently produce more realities of the same nature. All memory that’s continuously focused on and relived in the mind’s eye forms the perceptual lens that we use as the means of interpreting (organizing) all current events to be of the same nature and meaning as past events.

We use memory as the means of creating our self and our reality to be of the same metaphorical pattern. We transform our self and our life by working directly on our memories to adjust them by introducing new information that alters their pattern into a new configuration for producing a new version of reality as an experience. As we change our perspective our perception of reality changes accordingly. In order to grow and transform ourselves, we have to give up our story about things formed by continuing to live in the past and instead work creatively to form a new one. As we begin telling a new story we change our self as the author and main character of our own story and embody new qualities that form a new image of our self and a new way of life results. It’s only by mastering death that we learn how to truly live and create.

Death is a transformation of the soul that moves from one idea to another, as well as from one plane to another. If we fail to let ideas die in order to create something new in its place, we fail to grow. As we fail to grow we fail to thrive and it causes death for the soul. Change is necessary for growth, just as death of the cells is necessary for regeneration of new cells as a means of living. Death is the foundation of life which exists in a constant movement of birthing, maturing and transforming ideas as the means of creating new experiences of reality as a natural process of growth and development into higher states of being. Fear of death comes when we mistake our soul for being the temporary manifestation of the body instead of the consciousness that’s causing and producing it.

As we surrender the lower self and personality of the body to be a vehicle and instrument of the higher soul (12), we allow the old image of ourselves to die, and form a new one as an “ideal” in its place. We form an idea about ourselves that require us to strive and stretch in order to become it. As we transform our identity by reorienting ourselves to a new perspective of a higher nature, we alter the pattern being used and alter our vibratory frequency as a result (14). By changing the internal pattern and vibrating a new frequency, we change the outer world of appearances to become a correspondence to the new internal representation being used to experience it, and we reprogram the new cells of our body being generated to express in a new way. The mind always acts to shape the body to be a direct reflection and expression of it.

Creativity – The Relationship between Choice, Will, and Creating Reality

It doesn’t take long to realize that in life all things exist in relationship to each other. There’s really no such thing as an independent or solitary act. Everything comes as a result of something else, or as a synchronized series of events that play out over a period of time. While we can say that “no choice” is a choice, or that unconscious decisions that are seemingly made without awareness or in a deliberate manner, that are based primarily on feelings, emotions, or impulses of some sort, are still using your will because you’re willingly acting them out, this is passive use of the will that likewise creates in our life in an unconscious manner. Choice and will, like all faculties of the mind and soul, exist in both active and passive form based on awareness and deliberate action, or without direct awareness and in an automatic fashion. Anytime we’re aware of choice, and we negotiate it in an intentional manner, it usually comes as a decision between a conditioned response and a conflict of some sort as a conscience or inner awareness that makes us hesitate and resist it, and so we look for other options. Whenever we make an “actual” and true decision in a fully aware and intentional manner, we naturally leave all other options we were previously debating behind and move forward to create the choice we’ve made as our reality. We remove our attention from all other ideas, become single-minded, focusing exclusively on the reality of our choice, and we direct all of our attention and actions into creating it. Once our mind is made up and all conflict dissolves, our only movement becomes directed by the imagined reality of our decision, and we act systematically to create it. This is why “choice and free will” are always presented together, because they’re different aspects of the same creative process. If we experience the inability to do something that we believe we’ve chosen to do, it’s due to the fact that we haven’t truly made the decision for it, but are still bartering, debating, and negotiating it. It can be showing us that we still harbor inner conflict around it, still have attachments of some kind to what we’re deciding against, or we have conflicting beliefs and values of some sort that are holding us to indecision. Often our emotions and feelings are contradicting it or wanting something different than our rational, reasoning mind, and so our mind is divided. Anytime there’s a division between the subconscious and conscious mind, with one aspect of the mind acting to contradict or counteract the other one, we sit in limbo not knowing what to do, always going back and forth, sabotaging our own efforts, never actually able to settle on one or the other, until someone or something makes the decision for us and we no longer have a choice in the matter. While there’s a tendency for society to tell you to pick “one over the other”, to follow your heart and not your mind (as if they’re different things), the fact is, it’s always about a balance between the two. An alignment that forms a single mind as a single goal, free of all conflict, that works dynamically in-sync with each other to create the reality of that choice. Anytime we pose one aspect against another, we’re doomed to failure or a seeming success that merely forms the foundation for inner turmoil and conflict to play out as a constant realization of betraying ourselves in some way. Thought and emotion, intellect and feeling, heart and head, are always unified, one producing and sustaining the other. There’s no such thing as a division in the true sense of the word. The masculine and feminine aspects are only capable of creating when forming union that produces an offspring that’s a combination of the two. They always act in unison as “one idea” that produces the material reality as a correspondence of that idea. The Power of Emotions Making a “true decision” where all aspects are aligned and agree, can often be quite difficult, and may actually come over a period of time while different aspects that negate the desired outcome in some way are played out and explored in greater depth, so that the necessary realizations can be obtained, which serves to confirm what you need to decide. Our subconscious, which is the seat of all of our conditioning as our mental paradigm, habitual tendencies, regular emotional states, and dynamics that are magnetic and compulsive in nature, seeks only to maintain the status quo as a form of self-preservation by continuing to play out the thematic dynamics that we’ve built our identity around, and need to keep playing out somehow in order to maintain our “sense of self”. We keep casting ourselves in the roles we know how to play, and telling the story we know how to tell and do so in a natural, automatic, and compulsive fashion. We’re magnetically drawn to it even when intellectually and through reasoning we know we don’t want to be or shouldn’t. It works through our emotions, which are often gripping and intense, holding us captive to passions and intense emotional experiences that saturate our body with the chemistry and hormones of the emotions, satisfying a form of addiction. Emotions, being the motivating force of the subconscious mind and body, which is habitual and automatic in nature, are habit forming and we literally become addicted to them, even when we hate ourselves for doing it. Emotions, which are the driving force of instinct, are designed to produce automatic behavior that don’t require will, thought and decision, or self-awareness of any kind. We become addicted to pain just as easily as we do pleasure, because they’re both a drug produced internally that we become dependent on and use not only to create and maintain our state of mind, but also to create our reality out of, which is how we act in an indirect manner on ourselves to create ourselves. Anytime emotions and passions go against reasoning and rational thought, they nearly always win, because they’re experience as a strong internal sensation that’s very compelling with a form of urgency, whereas clear thought is more neutral and something we seem to experience in more of a dissociated perspective of witnessing as being outside of or above the situation looking at it from the perspective of a “whole” rather than in it as a “part of it”. Once emotions take hold and grip us in some way, usually through memory of some kind that’s used to create in the present, it tends to cloud and control our thinking through a form of seductive persuasion, making it difficult to resist. When this happens, decisions usually come as a gradual process, where once the desire to change becomes persistent, and we continue playing out the emotional dramas preventing us from implementing them, we begin having realizations about them that start dissolving the illusion we’ve built around them, loosening their grip, and they begin disintegrating and falling away. Once we have a notion as the desire to change in some manner, breaking an established pattern, it tends to steadily grow until it reaches fruition as an actual decision that we begin acting on to make it an actual reality, leaving the old behind and starting something new. The Power of Belief In a like manner, we can appear to have made a decision, and started it in motion, while maintaining a belief of some kind that prevents it, causes a feeling of conflict somehow, or results in what seems like the inability to take action, or not knowing what to do. Beliefs can be quite difficult to identify because they form the very basis of our experience of reality, and we often mistake them as being “fact or true”. Belief and the reality formed from it is the most basic and prevalent demonstration of the “power of the mind to create reality”. We create the experience of our beliefs perfectly without realizing that it’s our own creation, and is not real or true at all in the objective sense. Because many of them come from actual experience in terms of how we “interpreted” the events of our life by telling ourselves a story about them, we don’t realize that we actually made them up using our imagination (will). Likewise, we’re also taught certain ideas that we accepted as being factual or true, and use as the foundation for building entire networks that are all based on the same belief system, and accepting the ideas of others that were given to us and willingly adopted by us as our own thoughts. Usually the only way to upsurge a belief and bring it back into a fluid and negotiable state, is by introducing contradictory evidence that proves it wrong, one-sided, or reveals it as a skewed version. While many choose instead to argue against, deny, or ignore altogether anything that serves to shine light on the validity of long held beliefs, this too is a decision that we willingly act out and employ as the means of creating the reality it implies. When we always act to defend our beliefs instead of being willing to consider other possibilities, we condemn ourselves to the confinement of the reality of those beliefs. When we feel we’ve made a clear and conscious decision to change our life in some way, no longer running on memory and autopilot, and are confronted with what seems like the inability to act in order to create it, or the “path to take” in moving in the new direction, it’s usually due to a conflicting and limiting belief of some sort. We know when both aspects of our mind are in alignment with each other when we make a decision that lacks any kind of inner conflict, and we feel a sense of passion and urgency in acting to create it. We don’t have to figure anything out, we’re not stumped or confused, lacking motivation of the drive to do it, but instead, from that point on direct all of our attention and energy into actively moving forward on it and systematically producing it. Knowing What to Do The idea of being aware of the need or ability to make a decision puts us in the position of actually creating in a conscious and intentional manner. We create our decisions by focusing and concentrating our full attention on them, and consistently acting on them in whatever way is immediately apparent. We move forward with the attitude of being and doing. It’s very natural for us to not necessarily “know what to do” or how to be when we’re stepping into something new, because we don’t have memory or previous experience to go on. All new actions and creations come to us, not as a whole idea or plan laid out in detail for us to follow, but as a desire for what we’ve chosen, and a notion about how to start. If we simply act on what we know to do while remaining focused on our intention and desired outcome, it starts a process in motion that comes as an intuitive and synchronistic unfolding where one idea leads to another, and investigating or penetrating one aspect reveals the next aspect as the “next step”. We’re often required to have faith in the fact that if we simply act on what we do know and therefore step into it and start the process in motion, that the next step will become apparent. Stepping into the Unknown All well laid out “action plans”, so to speak, come as the result of rehashing and reformulating past memories to form what appears to be a new idea, yet in reality, is merely a new version of an old idea. When we form a truly new idea as a reality for creating, it usually comes through a part of us that’s always been there, urging us on to “become” who we truly are as our dream for our life that we negotiated away in an attempt to conform to the ideas of society imposed on us and the need to fit in, and we step into the flow of life by embracing an inspiration that comes to us seemingly from out of nowhere (though its often been there forever), that takes hold within us, becoming relentless and persistent. Once we receive it as an intimate connection that appeals to our true self, urging us on and encouraging us, it can almost become an obsession. An idea for our life that we can’t seem to let go of because it speaks to us with a vivid honesty as a form of promise that restores hope and the fulfillment of our true purpose and mission in life. All truly inspired ideas come to us by resonating with our deepest parts, the ones that we remain unfamiliar with while having a deep longing for, crying out to be free, shrouded and suffocated by illusions that we blindly accept as our fate, surrendering our true destiny and condemning our soul to a wasted and meaningless life. These form the big, life-altering decisions. The ones that are truly difficult to make, because in doing so, our identity and who we’ve been up to that point becomes compromised, and is no longer validated and sustained. To follow it, make the decision to surrender to our higher calling, means our entire previous life situation and roles will change, sometimes drastically, and we’ll be left scrambling, faced with the unknown, new conditions and circumstances, a new way of being that requires trust and a belief in ourselves and our inherent ability to know what to do when faced with brand new options that only guarantee uncertainty. When we make a decision to be and do something different in our life, especially when we’re older and have an established lifestyle and habitual patterns that we’ve built our identity around, where we have no past memory to go off of, we realize that the path unfolds through the series of decisions we’re making moment by moment as we go. In this total newness comes true creativity. Every decision, no matter how minute, becomes about “who am I?” What do I want to create? Who am I going to be, here, now, in this moment? What am I going to do, how am I going to act, and what consequences will result? We start getting a true feeling for how we actually create our lives through our everyday choices and actions, often for the first time as an adult. Once we’re cast into a life that we just sort of ended up in through an unconscious and natural process of growing up, where decisions seem to be made for us by our situation and responsibilities, and we fall into the habit of making decisions in an unconscious manner where they’re made for us or we simply accept them, and even when we maintain an awareness of what we want to do instead, we choose to give it up in favor of what we feel we need and should do. After a while we find ourselves living life in an automatic and habitual fashion where the only decisions we have to make is what to eat for dinner, or what to watch on TV, and even those decisions can be made for us by others. We can slowly fall into the reality of never having to make decisions and actually creating something new, and instead just act to maintain the habitual pattern already established and go with the flow by coasting through our life. To make true decisions that bring about change and create in a conscious way requires a form of courage and willingness to create something new and unfamiliar. It can mean giving up security and established success, or a glorified self-image, and wiping the slate clean, starting all over with a brand new idea for yourself and your life. When we make one decision and actually act to create the reality of that decision, it naturally leads to the need to consistently make more decisions, because you’re the creator and they’re not being made for you by someone else. When this happens a new sense of freedom comes about, and you start getting a real sense of who you actually are. Anytime and unconscious process becomes conscious, we gain tremendous insights into unfamiliar aspects of ourselves that remained hidden, subdued, or just barely out of sight. Naturally with this awareness and freedom comes the true responsibility for what we create and who we become through our own volition. We can no longer dodge responsibility or blame our shortcomings on others. This realization alone can be as terrifying as it is empowering.         Many people go through their entire life with decisions that are being made for them by others, or simply complying with the general consensus and trained mindset of society. Many “fall into a situation” in what seems like a haphazard method of chance, because they were creating from an unaware state with no realization of the consequences or end results of the actions. Many start off not knowing for sure what they want to do, then as they go along just end up in situations that seem to dictate the course of their life for them, and they feel trapped, or something about it becomes more important than their freedom to decide, and so they choose it instead, going with it till the situation ends or drastically changes somehow, then, they’re right back where they started. Drifting aimlessly into an abyss with no sense of purpose or vision for their life, scared and filled with an unbearable sense of dread and insecurity. Having lived so long without the ability to create through active use of choice and will, they feel lost and confused, and as if they have no ability to move their life in a new direction. Usually, without even knowing what direction they want their life to move in. When this happens, they usually simply find a new situation that they can wrap themselves around, and continue on their way, choosing to remain unconscious in the most basic sense of the word. Creativity All true creativity comes through a balanced and aligned mind, where feelings, emotions, and desire are the motivating force and formative factor of thought as an imagined idea. To decide on something is to choose an idea that you then act to willfully create. You direct all of your attention (undivided mind) and activities into the fulfillment of your decision. Choice gives us a vision as a firm idea that we’re then required to create. In this same way, an artist decides what feeling they want to capture and express by becoming one with it. They envision that idea as a sensory reality in a way that invokes a love for it, and then they go about doing what’s necessary to create it. They engage in whatever course of action is necessary to produce it. Naturally this requires great skill that only comes through constant practice and a sense of diligence. So if you’re struggling with creating what you want, or making the necessary decisions in your life to better it somehow, and you’re always going back and forth, or never actually being able to bring yourself to do what seems like a “big move”, just allow yourself to reflect on and become aware of all that comes up in relation to it as a conflicting feeling or idea. Then, go into each conflicting idea in depth in order to gain whatever realization about it that you need in order to make a true decision as to whether or not to continue with it, tweak and reformulate it, or leave it behind and quit thinking about it altogether. As you gain insight into what it is that’s preventing you from making a decision, you’ll know what other decisions you need to make first. Because decisions for change require sacrifice of some kind, they can produce a lot of inner turmoil that will need resolving in order to reside peacefully in that decision. We know when we’ve actually made a decision because we’re no longer debating it while considering other options, and we simply go about creating it. We hold an idea firmly in our mind with no inner conflict or anxiety around what we have to give up in achieving it, and we feel a sense of purpose and inspiration in regards to it. A feeling of devotion and dedication to it fills us, and we feel peaceful and content in the reality of it. All distractions fade away and focus all activity towards producing it. We move forward with a clear conscience and a feeling of certainty, and no longer look back or miss what we left behind. We’re filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation, alive with the true power to create the life we desire in an intentional and deliberate manner. We gain a new sense of ourselves that becomes a self-perpetuating force, and we fall in love with life as our own creation and ourselves as our own creator. Temptation – The True Nature of Choice, Will, and Facilitating a Process of Change

The definition of temptation is to induce a person to committing an act by manipulation, seduction, curiosity, strong desire, or out of the fear of loss. Something that coaxes us to engage in short-term urges of enjoyment that threatens long-term goals. We seem to decide between two things, both of which are desirable and compelling in some way, which means we have to give up one of them in order to have or create the other, and a form of internal conflict ensues as a result. We still have a strong desire for what we’re “giving up” while simultaneously knowing that if we engage in it we’ll regret it in the long run, we’ll sabotage ourselves somehow, or we’ll feel disappointed in ourselves.

The feeling of loss we experience when giving up something we find pleasurable or emotionally gratifying in some manner, or that fulfills a need of some kind, in pursuit of something we feel is even more desirable or beneficial, can set into motion a form of internal conflict and constant negotiation that produces an experience of suffering in regards to our choices. It creates a kind of catch twenty-two as a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” type scenario. This is why “will” is an inherent part of choice as the necessary means for actualizing it and bringing about the desired change by exercising our ability to consciously self-create in a deliberate and purposeful manner.

What we tend to experience is that the minute we decide to give something up that we find pleasurable and have established a habit around, we feel an immediate sense of loss, and experience an intensified and heightened desire for it. We crave it and develop a hankering for it. As we abstain from it, our desire for it seems to become even more pronounced and stronger. Not because it actually is, but because we’re going through change as a withdrawal where we’re very aware of the absence and we miss it and have a longing for it. Because we miss it we have a heightened awareness around it, and think about it in a compulsory manner.

This craving as missing what we’re giving up is the most basic form of temptation that begins a greater process. Once we make it past the initial thrust of exercising sheer willpower and we get a few days into it, we feel we have a handle on it, we become more relaxed in regards to it, and another form of temptation comes into play. This is the coercive, gently seductive part of us that starts talking to us in a way that totally makes sense and makes it okay to relapse, give up our desire to change, and go back to business as usual. This voice plays on our weakness, portraying it in a way that makes it seem like we’re not giving in, just deciding we can do it while still pursuing our other goal in spite of it. We tell ourselves we can somehow manage or control it or not let it affect us. This aspect of us is very persuasive and convinces us to go back to our old ways and forfeit the idea of changing.

This kind of abstinence brings a sense of suffering, internal conflict and emotional anguish, as well as a form of constant emotional negotiation where we begin arguing with ourselves as one aspect outright manipulating and trying to gain power over another aspect. We always have multiple aspects of ourselves that look at everything from different perspectives, with different attitudes, ideas, and motives. In purely psychological terms these are called archetypes or sub-personalities, but we can also think of them as different aspects of our own personality as being of a “multiple” nature and therefore exist in a primary state of constant inner turmoil that’s often arbitrary and capricious.

We are not singular beings with a concentrated focus, but rather composed of a dynamic multifaceted nature that often exists in a primary state of opposing itself. We also have subconscious tendencies, which are emotionally motivated and experientially driven that often directly oppose our rational and objective thinking. The subconscious mind is the part of us that’s ritualistic, habitual, and automated in nature and forms habits around emotionally gratifying activities, then defends the right to preserve those activities. Anytime the subconscious mind is in conflict with the self-conscious, thought-oriented mind of objective reasoning, it nearly always wins out because it uses emotions as the means to seduce, coax, and manipulate the rational mind. Emotions, when left unguarded and allowed to play out without containment, tend to completely run our thought and engage us in compulsive urges and pleasure driven behaviors that have no regard or concern for consequences. This is what we call the lower, animal mind that’s instinctively driven through compulsive sensuous urges and thoughtless behaviors.

When we make a decision to change somehow, our path divides as a kind of fragmentation and sets into motion the need to debate the validity of our choice based on a sense of loss. Whatever we give up, we miss, even if we realize it was bad for us. As we miss it we form an intense longing for it by only thinking about what was good about it, forgetting all the bad. A form of seductive enticement takes place within our own mind. We literally battle with ourselves, first weakening ourselves through thoughts of desire and enhanced sensory imagination that amplifies and concentrates the feelings of pleasure around the activity of it, then struggle with a form of mental anguish at being strong enough to resist it.

This whole process takes place because we haven’t learned how to operate our own mind in terms of realizing how we form an internal representation of ideas that make them either compelling or repulsive. Anytime we’re talking about the “will”, we’re referring to the imagination. It’s through the imagination that we work directly on our own subconscious mind, which doesn’t “think” in terms of verbal thoughts, but rather takes verbal thoughts and turns them into sensory realities in the imagination that invoke a strong emotional component that either make them pleasurable and compelling, or painful and repulsive. Pleasure and pain are the motivating forces of our lower nature as a form of primal drive. Subconsciously we’re always moving towards pleasure and away from pain.

To “will something” is to create the reality of it in the imagination “as if” it’s already happening, creating an experience of it that’s very desirable and has positive emotions associated with it. The language of the subconscious mind is “strong sensory experiences” that elicit an equally strong emotional response. Emotions are the language of the material plane and come as a natural response to our thoughts and experiences. We have to make whatever it is we want to create (our choice) very appealing in sensory terms, while making what we want to quit doing very disgusting and repulsive in sensory terms. Ideas as a sensory reality that mimics an actual experience invokes emotions that not only become the formative motivating factor, but also act to connect us to that same idea all around us. Emotion is the language as a frequency of the material plane and runs in currents that are being transmitted and received all the time. Whatever our emotional state, we’re engaged in the reality of that state and act as a magnet for its fulfillment by organizing and interacting with that same emotion in everyone and everything around us.

One of the primary functions of the imagination is to form “internal representations” of thought as ideas that we use in place of the actual reality of it. When we think about an activity as an experience, we make it either compelling or repulsive based on “how we think about it” it terms of what we associate with it and use to give it meaning. When we associate positive ideas and feeling with it, we create a very pleasurable, joyful, and fulfilling experience of it. Likewise, when we associate negative ideas with it, we make it painful, ugly, and disgusting somehow. This internal representation as an imagined experience of it provides us with a preview that either makes it tempting and hard to resist, or uninteresting and easy to forget. In order to make an idea compelling we have to infuse it with very pleasurable and desirable associations, while making the idea we’re moving away from seem disgusting, repulsive or awful somehow.

If we pay close attention, we’ll further realize that the internal images or scenarios we form in our imagination of the idea has certain sensory attributes and qualities that work at the purely subconscious level to make it seem either distant and dissociated or up-close and intensely real. These sensory features are called sub-modalities and are the method we use to further develop how we represent an idea to ourselves. Anything that we watch and run through our mind’s eye that seems small, off in the distance, and either black and white or monotone in color, lacks intensity and isn’t provocative. It seems far off and unattainable, more like a distant memory that produces very little emotional impact. However when we form images and imagined scenario’s that seem up-close, in vivid color, and intense where we see, hear, feel, smell, touch, and are talking to ourselves about the experience we’re having in very positive terms, they become immediate and act to produce very compelling emotions.

Likewise, whatever we associate an idea with not only shapes the meaning it has but how we “feel about it” when thinking of it. As a general rule the mind is always in the process of forming a chain-of-association that links ideas together as a way of making them mean something and classifying them accordingly. Whatever ideas we associate with an idea shapes that idea in terms of what it means, and them meaning it has shapes how we experience it and what it means about us in relationship with it. We develop ideas to give them meaning by how they exist in relationship with other ideas of a similar nature. When we make positive associations it intensifies the love and desire for the idea, whereas when we associate very negative and disgusting ideas with it, it makes it very repulsive and we form a kind of disdain for it. In whatever way we shape the idea in our mind as an experience that’s associated to other ideas of the same nature, that makes them either desirable or repulsive, shapes our tendency towards or away from them simultaneously.

By learning how to work with our own imagination to form an internal representation of an idea that we use to let go of ideas or break habitual tendencies, or move towards more beneficial ideas with a sense of eagerness and enthusiasm is the secret to using your will to transform habits and behaviors that we’ve outgrown or realize are not in the best interest of our growth and development. When we make a decision to quit one thing and begin doing something new, and we use our “will” to actualize the reality of our choice, doesn’t mean to suffer and struggle through the agony of constant temptation to eventually tire, relapse and give up, but comes rather as our ability to change how we’ve polarized an idea to move it from a desirable to an undesirable state, while transferring the feeling of desire from the old idea onto the new idea. By taking what we once deemed pleasurable and rendering it painful by how we re-present the idea to ourselves internally by “remaking the experience”, makes it easy to resist. As we form our new idea with intense sensory details, positive and compelling emotions, and associate it with ideas whose meaning makes us feel the way we want to feel, we naturally move towards them with a sense of love, devotion, and excitement. It’s all about how an experience makes us feel and what it means about us as we engage in it.

All ideas as realities or potential for creating realities through choice and will, exist in a polarized state as complementary opposites that are extremes of the same idea and form a range or scale between them as degrees of the same thing. All change in the ultimate sense comes as a change in degrees of the same thing, rather than a change in kind. Whenever we “quit” one thing in favor of another, it usually comes as moving from the negative aspect of the idea to what we could think of as the positive aspect. We don’t ever really quit habits, but rather transform them into new habits that are more desirable in terms of their benefits. Whenever we decide to change a behavior, we have to decide what behavior we’re going to replace it with or what we’re going to do instead. If we leave an empty void by deciding to quit something without replacing it, we’ll tend to draw something else in unconsciously and simply begin doing something else that’s not thought out and deliberate. So the minute we decide what we’re no longer going to be, we have to immediately decide what we’re going to be instead, and make a transition from one mindset to another.

Association also has another component in behavioral changes and that comes through the process of “anchoring” an idea as a means of designing a natural “trigger” for it as an activating mechanism. We form a series of associations to an idea that act as the means of activating a whole behavioral pattern as a kind of memory. Throughout our daily life, as we go about our normal activities, we are constantly forming an association in the present with memories of the past as a way of being able to assign “instant meaning” to things as our natural perception of them. Certain behaviors, characteristics, words, tone of voice, touching us somewhere on our body, smells, and so on, act as triggering mechanisms that cause us to reference old memories and bring them forward into the present, associating the present with the past as a form of “this means the same thing as that”, and we subconsciously play out the same pattern as a set of automated behaviors. By realizing this, we can either associate the new behavior to the same thing that served as a trigger for the old behavior, or we can create a new one that we use intentionally to instantly change our state and “activate the pattern” we’re replacing it with. In this way, the old behaviors are no longer capable of being activated in us unconsciously by the same triggers.

Once we realize how to use our imagination to transform old ideas and form new enticing and compelling ones, we realize that we’re no longer “tempted” by the old, and have no trouble whatsoever refraining from it. Just the fact that we’re still tempted by an idea shows us that we either haven’t really made a true decision against it and for something else, and we’re still therefore debating it, or we haven’t used our mind in the appropriate way to change how we perceive, present, and relate to the idea. The decision to quit one thing in favor of another comes through realizations that we form around what we’re doing and the results it produces as natural consequences to our actions. Once we make a decision towards something new that facilitates our growth in a positive manner, and we “willfully bring that choice into fruition”, means to use the natural power of our imagination to re-orientate ourselves in relation to both, what we’re letting pass away, and what we’re creating in its place. Anytime we use our will as our imagination in this manner, change becomes easy and natural and undertaken with a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation, and temptation of the old doesn’t even exist as a part of our experience. We simply forget about the old and move fully into the new filled with a sense of anticipation and awe at our own ability to create our reality and become self-determined as a result.

Self-Purification and Cultivating Our Higher Nature

As we go through life, we’re always “becoming” through a process of amalgamation, where we enter into relationship with everyone and everything around us, blending with them energetically, taking on their compatible attributes and transforming our nature by using them to express and create experiences that we then relate to and identify with. Through the process of amalgamation where we take on the qualities and characteristics of others, we become contaminated and corrupt in the most basic sense. All relationships are energetic interactions of the mind and soul where we absorb and integrate whatever is of a similar nature to us, while ignoring or resisting what’s not of the same nature. As we blend with “like” (polarized) qualities in another, we become “like them” and they become like us. Integration of qualities comes through resonance and sympathetic induction where we take on their vibration, modifying our own in a corresponding manner, and gradually forming a modified vibration through coherence (harmony) by vibrating at the same frequency. Whatever we’re exposed, exist in near proximity of, and are subjected to without resistance, we readily take into our subconscious mind, allow it to take hold as a thought or emotion, and become the channel for its expression.

Whatever we willingly allow, participate in, and cooperate with, we become like. We utilize our will through our ability to choose, by relating or contrasting, gaining an awareness of how we feel in relation to others or situations, where we either agree and step into it willingly and cooperate, or we resist, decline, and move out of and away from it.  When we develop an awareness of consciousness as qualities that form characteristics as “ways of being”, we can become aware of how we’re always choosing our methods of self-development through the relationships we maintain and who we associate with on a regular basis. Through self-awareness we can learn how to manage ourselves using our will and the ability to choose. By making decisions that we implement in a willful manner, we determine what we allow in and what we don’t. We can consciously choose what we willingly absorb and become like in nature, and what we resist and therefore prevent from entering into us, and becoming a part of us.

Whenever we enter into a relationship with someone or something (person, situation, activity, set of circumstances) we should maintain a subtle awareness of how we’re either contrasting or relating, and how we’re feeling as a result of the interaction. We should always be asking ourselves “what is the consciousness I’m experiencing, and in what way is it influencing me”? If I take on the same consciousness and allow it to express through me, who and how will I become? As I form a sense of myself “being this way” (embodying that way of being) how does it feel? As I sense myself this way, how do I feel about myself?

We all have what we call “shadow aspects” that are qualities that we inherently possess that we deny having, have repressed in some manner because we were made to feel bad about them or couldn’t find appropriate expression for them, or that we built an illusion around by telling ourselves a story about it that makes it seem different from what it actually is. Like all unconscious tendencies, we’re always projecting them outward and using them to shape our outer environment as our mind’s way of allowing us to “see what they are”, and we not only notice and react to them in others, but we gravitate towards them and naturally enter into in relationship with them. Just as we attract to people and situations that we enjoy and find gratifying, we’re also attract to and towards the type of people and things we despise, are irritated by, and find repulsive for some reason. A “reaction” of any kind to something outside of us, good or bad, is happening because we have that same quality within us as a hidden aspect that we remain primarily unaware of and deny the fact that we have the same quality. All qualities are polar or dual in nature (electromagnetic), and serve as complementary aspects needed to create a joint experience of the shared quality as an interaction. We’re always attracted to those who play the opposite role in the same dynamic.

We create out of the dynamics of our conditioning to either be the same or be the opposite. Either way, the relationship as contrasting and relating to the same pattern as a dynamic theme, forms the outward expression of chosen aspects and the inward, hidden life of the ones that are not consciously chosen, but repressed and held inside instead. The ones we rebel and retaliate against as a way of shaping ourselves, becomes disowned aspects that we deny having, even though we have shaped ourselves in relationship with them, and we continue to attract and end up in relationship with our shadow aspects as a way of maintaining our “sense of self” by continuing to contrast and retaliate against them. Whatever dynamic we’ve shaped ourselves out of as a relationship and way of interacting, we maintain, because without it, we don’t know who we are or how to “be”. We need to be in relationship with the same type of people in order to play out the dynamic we’ve built our identity around.

This type of energetic, subconscious interaction is going on at the unconscious level all the time where we’re doing it naturally and automatically without actual awareness of what we’re doing and why. When we become aware of and realize the reality of it, we then have a choice as to whether or not we need to keep acting it out by allowing or resisting it, while intentionally choosing how we’re going to be instead. As long as we are still getting our “identity from others”, and we feel the need for others to show us who we are, we maintain relationships that are of the same nature that we were conditioned with.

Once we become aware of our own unconscious tendencies, and begin sensing our energetic nature as consciousness itself, we can get a sense of who we really are in terms of our true nature, and begin drawing on our inner power as a means of creating ourselves in our everyday life. We move from an “other” orientation to a “self” orientation. As we sense ourselves in every situation we begin realizing that we always have a choice as to whether or not we’re going to remain unconscious and unaware in our life, and be determined by others, or if we’re going to choose instead to remain awake, aware and able in every moment to choose who and how we’re going to be. At first, this may require a willful effort, but once our center of gravity changes, our whole mind-set changes, and we simply lose interest in things that use to grip us. We no longer react or feel chemistry of some kind with the same type of people and situations. And we simply lose interest and leave those relationships.

When we become awake and conscious, we realize we’re always filtering ideas through our true nature, and deciding which ones we blend with, allow into our mind, and allow to take hold by thinking about them and forming them into internal realities, which become the templates and pathways for our outer expression. As we express these same qualities outwardly by becoming a channel for them, we sense ourselves “as them”, experience ourselves in that way, becoming associated with it by forming a memory of it, and it becomes a permanent part of us. We build our identity out of the accumulated experiences we have based on the qualities that make up our character that we consistently use to self-express and self-create.

Whatever we subject ourselves to, enter into and maintain relationships with, or associate with on a regular basis, we allow to influence us by absorbing and integrating their consciousness which acts to transform and evolve us to be of the same nature. We become like whatever we’re around and interact with. Transformation in the most basic sense is evolution by absorbing (resonating), assimilating (harmonizing) and becoming like our outer environment. We’re always forming equilibrium with our environment as a harmonious balance between the inner self and the outer world. We’re not fixed static beings, we’re constantly in the process of exchanging, absorbing, integrating, and discharging energy with everything around us, as a natural bio-evolutionary process.

To purify ourselves is to not only use dietary means as both nutritive substance and morality, but also to purify our intentions, emotions, and psychological states as well. It’s becoming aware of how we’re being infected, contaminated, and corrupted with the consciousness of everything we willingly engage in and choose to do, what we end up around, or what we intentionally place ourselves in. Once we become constantly aware of how we’re being influenced in any given situation, and we learn how to “sense it” as a “way of being and thinking”, we can begin using our creative power of choice and will in an intentional manner. We can begin censoring what we allow to take hold in us, and what we don’t, who and what we associate with, and who and what we don’t. Through the awareness of the energetic nature of things as qualities of consciousness that we’re always interacting with and absorbing into our mind and taking on, we can consciously choose and willfully become self-determined and truly responsible for who we are. We can learn how to intentionally regulate and direct our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We can decide what to willingly participate in and cooperate in co-creating, and learn how to pick and choose who and what we associate with and what activities we engage in.

Entertainment – The Passive and Receptive Mind

Our mind operates according to different modes of passive and receptive, and active and projective, as the natural activity of the subconscious and self-conscious mind. The self-conscious, “aware” aspect has the ability to censor, judge, evaluate and filter all outward incoming information, and decide what to let in or resist and keep out. Whenever we’re actively being challenged, we’re in an active and projective mind where we evaluate and interpret everything and exercise our ability to resist it. Whenever we switch over to a mode of being entertained, where we’re not being challenged in any way and don’t need to defend, we enter into a passive and receptive mode, where we allow ideas and sensory realities to come into our mind, take hold and form a whole inner sensory reality that ultimately becomes a form of memory. Long after we’ve seen a movie that elicited a strong emotional impact, we continue to think about it periodically for years, maybe even throughout our lifetime. Similar ideas in our everyday environment cause a chain-of-association and we recall parts of the movie just like a memory. It literally becomes a “part of us” as part of our thinking and remembering. As we think and imagine we become by way of those thoughts, and they literally act to shape us at the purely unconscious level. They become a natural part of our subconscious memories just like real experiences do.

Whatever we form as a memory, as a reality that’s a part of our energetic make-up as our vibratory frequency, we not only perceive in our environment, but we act it out unconsciously by expressing it outwardly, creating our self by way of it. Whatever we form internally as an imagined reality (reviewing as a memory), becomes the perceptual lens we look through to see and interact with the same consciousness as an idea in the world around us, and we form a kind of gravitational field that connects us to by resonating with it. Whatever we think about and imagine repeatedly, we “tune” ourselves to that vibration and begin resonating with it outwardly. We begin stimulating it, interacting with it, and absorbing it, and through a repetitive accumulative process we steadily transform ourselves to be like it. As we think and imagine, we relate and “sense ourselves” through the reality of our thoughts, and we begin identifying with them. We typically identify with certain types of ideas, stories, themes, characters, personalities, issues and challenges, and so we always like “those type of movies” or “that type of character”. And by relating to them, and unconsciously initiating them, we shape ourselves to be “like them”.

Purifying Ourselves

To purify ourselves as a conscious and intentional act, is to become aware of this energetic process, gain a firm idea of who we really are and how we want to be, and intentionally select what we engage in, expose ourselves to, associate with, and what type of relationships we form and maintain between the outer and inner. Between our self and our self in another. We form an ideal of ourselves as the embodiment of our best qualities and character traits, and we intentionally and deliberately direct all our activities towards that means. We choose what movies we watch, what stories and dramas we participate in, what relationships we form and maintain, what activities we take up, and what situations we place ourselves in. We choose our diet and lifestyle, not only in physical and material forms, but in mental, emotional, and moral terms.

Soul as Morality

Our subconscious mind is primarily concerned with the body and its survival in the outer world by constantly evolving to become of the same nature, has a primary motive of self-preservation, and acts to maintain habitual behaviors that are emotionally driven and compulsive in nature. The self-conscious mind is focused primarily on others and the activities of the outer world, while interpreting everything through stories of some kind, and constantly preoccupied with redundant thoughts that replay memories and imaginary ideas of some sort. The soul is concerned almost exclusively with our moral nature and what type of things we engage in from a purely ethical perspective of higher (virtuous) and lower (vices) consciousness as principles that we live our life by forming what you could think of as our biography. Our morality is “who we are as a person” and what we stand for in terms of what we demonstrate through our thoughts, emotions, and activities. Whatever we engage and participate in, we become like and bond ourselves to that level of consciousness. We “classify ourselves”, so to speak, through our actions. To be is to do. Whatever we’re being inside determines what we do outside.

The soul isn’t concerned with the body or it destiny, because the body is temporary and only acts as a vehicle or instrument for the soul to express through and self-create by way of. The self-conscious, brain-oriented mind that arises in the body as the soul’s awareness of itself “as” the body, is the identity acquired by way of the body that allows the soul to “experience itself” in a specific way. The experience acquired through the body forms our identity, often called the ego, is mortal in nature and “dies” with the brain and body. The soul is that part of us that’s always in a “witnessing position”. That part of us that’s “in the experience”, having it, yet remains apart from it while observing it both inwardly and outwardly at the same time. The soul maintains a form of fundamental detachment from the body and its life experiences in the sense that while it fully engages in the experiences as a means of gaining an experience of itself in some way, it never mistakes itself for being the body or a mortal being. It realizes that it has full control over both the mind and the body, and, when awake and self-aware, exercises that ability in an intentional and deliberate manner. When the soul remains asleep, the body as the unconscious, unaware aspect that’s always being controlled by it’s instinctual nature and forces outside of itself, and as a means of seeking physical gratification of some kind, runs, and therefore determines the soul through the memories it produces.

The soul’s purpose in living is to become the dominant force within the body, guiding and directing the feelings, thoughts, and activities towards a higher means that consistently moves away from self-indulgence and need-gratification of any form, and towards assuming it’s universal identity acting as a “neutral force for good” in any situation that serves the “highest good” for everyone involved. It’s not self-oriented and driven by needs and desires, but rather selfless with a servant attitude. Because it lacks desire of the things of the material world, it’s free of them, and not held in captivity by them. Because it’s free of self-serving agendas, it’s only intention in any situation is to act as a mediator that facilitates and influences it to the highest and most beneficial means that serves the karma of everyone involved. It doesn’t impose itself on others, or act to coerce and manipulate, because it doesn’t derive its identity through the material world or the body it inhabits, but rather as a benevolent being of a divine and virtuous nature. It seeks not for itself, but only to give. It draws all its power from an internal, eternal source.

To purify the soul, is to allow it to dominate and utilize both the conscious and subconscious mind to create experiences of itself that are completely detached from material needs and identification. It’s to intentionally develop yourself to a virtuous nature that’s capable of drawing in and integrating higher intelligence. It’s to release your needs around material identification, and turn your full awareness within, drawing only on your internal source for power in the outer world. Connecting and developing a strong bond and flow of communication with your Higher Self that’s always held in loving regard with absolute trust. It’s to always act on yourself with that same benevolent mind-set, always loving and caring for yourself as you do others. It’s the act of cultivating yourself to be a channel for divine energy to flow into the world unimpeded, without corruption, and pure in form. By cultivating virtuous qualities, we heal our mind and emotions, strengthen and fortify our body, and become a catalyst for good in the world. This is the only true goal and purpose of the soul.

Mastering Your Will to Accomplish Goals – Thought, Desire, Imagination, and Action

Harmony and Alignment is the Key to Creating

Many times we set goals for ourselves as a means of self-development, lifestyle change, or improving our life conditions, where we start off with a feeling of determination and will power, only to have it fade, weaken, and give up relatively early in the process. We don’t seem to have the ability to stick with something long enough to accomplish it, or we start doubting it, wavering, and changing our mind as soon as it becomes difficult. Then we can feel disappointed in ourselves, let down, and realize weaknesses of various sorts that become discouraging, often preventing us from trying again. We simply give into the feeling of being unable to create and be empowered in our own lives, and live a mundane and unfulfilling existence, or succumb to the very things we have a relentless desire or moral need to overcome. The more we try and fail the more discouraged we become, until at some point, we quit trying.

The main reason we think we’re making decisions for ourselves that we can’t willfully complete or produce, is because we fail to align all aspects of ourselves to the same goal. In order for us to manifest a new behavior, character trait, or reality of any kind, requires the alignment of the conscious (the one making the decision) with the subconscious (the one that produces it as a reality) mind. This alignment of the two material minds is synonymous with aligning the two hemispheres of the brain, because the mind operates the brain, and the entire system through the brain. The conscious mind is the aspect of the mind that possesses the ability to choose as a change of some sort, and is the intellectual “talking and dialoguing” mind, while the subconscious is the emotional, feeling and experiential aspect of the mind. Thought and emotion are always in-sync, and whatever emotion is married to the thought, becomes the formative motive for shaping the thought as a material manifestation.

Goals, and what seems like choices we make that are never fulfilled, is usually because the wrong emotion is associated to the thought as a reality. The subconscious only motivation is self-preservation and maintaining the status quo through habitual states. It’s habitual (automatic) in nature and operates out of memory as established patterns. In order to manifest something new or to change a habit, we have to work directly with the subconscious mind by programming it with the “reality of the desired goal”, while convincing it of how it will benefit in emotional terms.

Emotion is produced basically in two ways, one is as a response to our own thoughts, or from a charge we absorb that’s being projected from others or from our environment. Emotions are the primary energy of the astral plane, which can be equated to the atmosphere around us (of the Earth) that acts as an energetic medium that not only connects us to everyone else, but also serves as the means of transmitting emotional charges as a basic form of communication as “vibratory states”. Emotions of the physical plane are absorbed into the body, stimulating the chakra system (energy matrix of the astral body) that in turn stimulates our endocrine glands, which produce hormones that are of the same frequency (nature) as the stimulation, and alters our body chemistry and state to match or be the equivalent of it. This is how, from an evolutionary perspective, we stay in-tuned too and at the same energetic vibration of the environment in which we live, interact, and survive.

Anytime there’s a conflict of interest between the two minds, they act to sabotage and counteract each other. We have not only to bring the conscious and subconscious minds into harmony with each other, but also match the inner vision of the goal with our life conditions, circumstances, and associations. You don’t ever want to set yourself up so that in order to achieve the goal you have to constantly resist something that’s conflicting, or expose yourself constantly to what prevents it or steadily moves you away from it. All goals need to be of a personal nature and can’t require somebody else to achieve. The only real goals in life are those that pertain to developing yourself in some way through use of your creative power to “choose and willfully produce” desired experiences of reality that give you a certain type of “feeling”. Feelings are the language of the soul, and the desired result of all material goals.

The only way we create in life is by operating according to law, not by working against law. Law states that’s the feminine and masculine must always be in alignment and harmonious in order to pro-create or produce a material reality as its expression or offspring. We have to associate the proper emotion to our thought as an experience of the reality we wish to create, and then match the outer environment and what we connect and associate with, with the desired inner reality. We have to associate with whatever and whomever is of the same mind-set and reality as that which we wish to create. When we connect and associate with what’s of the same nature as our desired creation, it’s supported, strengthened, and amplified. When we continue to exist in relation with what’s not of the same nature (frequency), that contradicts or undermines it, we’re constantly tempted, filled with self-doubt, feel weakened and ultimately lose our focus.

Whatever we associate with we become like. Like always produces more of what’s like itself. This is the Law of Vibration. We only resonate (serve to vibrate and bring into an active state) with “shared qualities and characteristics” of that which we exist in relationship with. If our desired goal for manifesting change is not a natural part of the relationships we form with others and our life circumstances, nothing is serving to activate or vibrate us with that same idea as qualities and characteristics, and instead is constantly activating contradictory ideas in us. To manifest ourselves and reality, we have to create a completely harmonious and synchronized process.

As we make goals for desired change, we need to check those goals with all areas of our life to make sure they’re compatible and can be harmoniously integrated, producing beneficial effects in all areas of our life. If a desired change in one area contradicts another, or will cause problems in another area, they act to counterbalance each other, and a form of debate takes place as a negotiation and internal conflict. Anytime we’re experiencing internal conflict around an idea it acts to sabotage and contradict it. So any goal as a desired manifestation should be thought out in terms of how it’ll affect relationships, lifestyle, spiritual practices, health, economics, career, and so on. The idea has to be integrated into your life in a congruent and beneficial manner, or you’ll have to decide if the goal is more important to achieve than what you’ll have to give up or let go of in order to accomplish it.

There has to be a clear realization of the reality of what you’re achieving in terms of your entire life, and only when there’s congruence and continuity should you continue. Sometimes the goal simply needs to be modified to accommodate other areas in an agreeable way. All internal conflict has to be resolved around the goal, and all areas brought into alignment in terms of how achieving the goal will affect them. The benefits that will come through achieving the goal have to be well defined and infused with positive emotions that will make it very compelling and desirable. The most natural form of “willpower” lies in our “desire” for something and our ability to imagine it as an actual experience.

Once a life ecology check has been made, and all internal conflict resolved, the goal has to be concentrated on and formed in the imagination as an actual experience of the reality it implies. It has to be formed in sensory terms – what are you seeing, hearing, feeling, touching, smelling and tasting, and what are you telling yourself about it that makes it mean something – and you have to play it out as a scenario that’s exactly as you want it, while associating very positive and compelling (magnetic) emotions to it. You have to form it as an internal representation that’s up close, in full vivid color, imbued with strong sensations, and create your experience of it as being very fulfilling and satisfying, and really tune into the “feeling” it gives you. All goals are ultimately to acquire a feeling of some kind, and the feeling will act as your barometer and navigation system. The feeling of an experience is its vibration.

Imagine the desired reality in as many different scenario’s and circumstances as possible, developing each one until you get it just like you want it. Then, when you’ve perfected it, play it over and over, enhancing the sensory experience and emotion it brings, while telling yourself a story about it that infuses it with meaning. As we form internal dialogue around it while imaging it in vivid terms, feeling it deeply as an actual experience, we seat it into the subconscious mind as a form of virtual memory. This memory as a sensory reality forms a vibratory frequency as a pattern that the subconscious uses to produce the emotional state (body chemistry) and behavior (actions) necessary, while connecting to that same idea as a frequency in the environment around us, magnetizing us to it.

The subconscious acts to connect us with the reality of our thoughts in everyone and everything around us, while also producing all the behavior and actions necessary for initiating, interacting, and causing it. The subconscious mind produces all of our natural behaviors out of various forms of memory. To manifest an idea as a new habit, behavior, way of being, or experience of reality, the goal must be created as a form of memory, that’s very emotionally compelling. Positive emotions attract and move into, while negative emotions repel and move away from. The subconscious is motivated by emotions associated with pleasure and pain. The feelings and emotions associated to an idea, determine whether or not we are unconsciously (without direct awareness) moving into and towards our dreams, or away from and avoiding our dreams. Anytime we’re feeling apprehension, fear, anxiety, dread, loss, sacrifice, or pain around an idea, even one we say we want, we are actually acting “on ourselves” to prevent it. The subconscious mind always moves towards pleasure and away from pain. To move naturally into an idea you have to associate pleasure (positive feelings) with it, and hold it in positive regard.

If we set a goal that represents loss of any kind, especially if what we’re losing is valuable to us, or brings pain and grief of any kind, we have to come to terms with it, and decide to give it up in favor of the goal. Otherwise, again, they’ll act to contradict and sabotage each other. What tends to manifest and become naturally established is what exists in a harmonious fashion with both the conscious and subconscious, with the subconscious typically dominating the conscious mind. If it comes down to feelings and emotions contrasting thought, emotions nearly always win, not only because of the strong motive quality, but also because behavior is emotionally driven and are what connect us to everything else in the material plane of our natural environment.

The conscious mind has the ability to direct and program the subconscious mind through choice and will, but only if it knows how to work intuitively with the subconscious, and convert ideas into emotional realities as vibratory states. We have to speak to the subconscious in its own language, as experiences with full sensory enhancement that naturally elicits positive emotions in response to it. Every idea is developed and actualized based on the emotion associated with it. Emotion comes as the result of experience, and is what shapes the experience through the thoughts produced as the story we tell ourselves about it that interprets it to mean something. An idea as an emotional experience and internal dialogue (interpretation as a story) forms a memory. Memory is the language of the subconscious, and is what it uses to create our experience of both the inner and outer world as a correspondence to each other.

The way to form a goal as a manifestation of a new form of reality, is to decide on the change you desire to bring about, make sure that it only requires you to achieve, run an ecology check with all other areas of your life to ensure its congruent, modifying it as necessary to ensure it will produce desired results. Then imagine it as if it’s already real, forming an internal representation of it as up close, in vivid color with strong sensations (feelings), and in a way that makes it emotionally pleasurable and compelling. Then developing the idea until you get it just the way you want it in terms of how it makes you feel, then replay that idea over and over in your imagination, seating it in your subconscious as an actual memory. Once established and utilized by the subconscious as a memory, it provides a template as a pattern for creating it as an outer reality or experience of reality. All realities are created using the elements available in the immediate environment, and though it may not look like you thought it would or come about tin the way you thought it would, you’ll know it by the feeling it gives you. The feeling is the key to recognition.

As we think and feel, we tune ourselves to the vibration of that reality, and we begin resonating with it in everything around us.  We naturally connect and form a gravitational field with that same reality as a “type of experience” in our outer environment. The memory as an internal representation provides a kind of “road map” as a steady chain of association that provides “action steps”. We begin noticing things through a form of coincidence, where things stand out that connects us to it, drawing it to us and us to it, as a form of synchronicity. Whatever memories we associate ourselves with, we experience in our outer reality. This is the creative power of the mind that we’re using all the time without realizing it. We create our experience of reality based on our memories. Memories are formed from how we interpret the emotional events of our life that we then continue to think about and replay over and over, creating more of the same type of experiences. Anytime we think about something, we’re conditioning ourselves with those thoughts, and creating more of the same type of experiences. All emotional thought is a form of “request” to the Universe that says, “give me more of this”.

To create the future, create it as a preview of what’s to come. Our memories of the past create more of the same type of experiences in the present, which becomes the basis for the future. Our subconscious programming becomes our reality. By learning how to program our own mind with desired experiences, we learn how to literally manifest our reality at will, and shape ourselves by way of those realities. Our ability to choose (intentionally create) and the will (desire and imagination) is our soul’s ability to create reality and itself by way of that reality. It’s our mind that produces our experience of reality. As we think, feel, and imagine . . . . we become, and we reside in that world!

The Dual Nature of the Soul – The Material World Belongs to the Soul

We are so in tuned to our physical existence that it’s hard for us to form an idea about ourselves that’s outside or beyond our body. Many fail to recognize the fact that humans are composite beings, and unlike any other life form on Earth, has two souls which give us two distinctly different natures; a lower-animal nature, and a higher-divine nature. This is further complicated by the fact that many attribute the mind to being a product of the body (heart or brain), when in fact, it’s the other way around. The body is a product of the mind, just as all material reality is, and the mind is what provides the intelligence for it’s construction, and activates and regulates all the biological processes that make the body function, and is what holds it all together for a life-span of somewhere around eighty years or so. The mind is not associated to an organ of the body, but exists independent of the body, while permeating and enveloping the body in what we could call an etheric egg-shaped energy field. This energy field that surrounds and gives life to the body, is subtle and electromagnetic in nature, which means it functions according to the same universal laws as the biological world, and is always in the process of exchanging and integrating energy with everything else around it as a form of respiration and metabolic process.

 
The mind is synonymous with the soul. The lower-animal soul is the subconscious and self-conscious mind, or concrete mind, and the higher divine soul is of the higher-mind or superconscious. The soul is not a physical entity, but an energetic “state”. The soul doesn’t experience itself as “having a feeling”, but rather “is” the feeling itself. The soul has “pure experience” without sensory concepts or descriptions. It’s not a mind in a body, but the mind itself that inhabits a body. The mind is not the body experiencing “joy” as a mood or feeling, but is joy itself as a mental state. There’s no physical medium separating it from experience or that it needs in order to experience, but comes as a direct “inner” experience that maintains a connection to the outer world. The mind is our vibratory state as a quality of consciousness that produces our experiences as translated through the physical senses of the body.

vesicaWhatever state of mind we are vibrating at any given moment determines our mood, attitude, perception, and how we form all our experiences. It’s experience that’s direct as an internal “feeling” experience rather than “through” a body or medium, that alters and separates you from the experience itself. You “are the experience” rather than having the experience. Nothing separates or buffers you from the outer world. The mind, which is pure invisible energy as consciousness, blends into everything around it, becoming one with it in order to experience it directly “as it”. The subtle energy of the mind freely moves through and into matter of the physical realm and experiences itself within the material body it inhabits. It experiences itself as the physical body or object from within it, as an “inner” experience.

 
The physical body (matter) is the “middle man or avatar” for the higher human soul. Without the body, the soul is the same as pure experience, not associated to a body and able to travel freely within the outer reality which is contained “within” the soul. The soul itself is a field of consciousness held together as a stress-pattern or torsion field (axion or spin field) as an energetic state or vibratory frequency that gives it individual qualities. The mind is an invisible force in the material realm and in order to create or be in the material world, it has to enter into (resonate with), and bond with a physical body of some form, otherwise it remains unseen and unknowable. The body exists in relationship to the outer world of the senses, and is how the soul experiences itself “as” a physical being, or located within time and space. Because the human soul is not of the same sensory nature as the physical body, it can’t be experienced or perceived through the physical senses, which can’t penetrate deeply enough into the purely conscious realm to experience it as it is, without a sensory interpretation. Because the divine soul is different from the body, we often fail to recognize the true nature of our soul.

 
When the human soul is in the body, the internal experiences are very different than the external ones. While the soul is in the body, we feel the body belongs to us. Yet outside of the body (astral travel), we feel connected to and an inherent part of the greater reality around us, in the sense that there’s no boundary or sense of separation. Outside the body you experience yourself as an innate part of the outer environment, and no longer experience yourself as separate from it, or as an object within it. The inner soul becomes a part of the whole outer world, and experiences being apart of it just as we experience our head or hands as being apart of our body. We blend into and become interwoven with the outer world. The whole surrounding environment belongs to the soul, just as the hands and feet belong to the body. There’s no boundary between the inner and outer world, the effects of the sensory world pass perceptually through your being. You experience it as being the same as it. Everything is experienced from within it. There’s no thought process, judgment, or sensory interpretation of object and subject, but a direct experience of being it. This is the true nature of compassion (the language of the soul), which is taking on the natural internal perception of the soul and having the inner experience of another person or being you’re either observing or contemplating. By developing compassion towards or with other beings, we develop our soul’s perception, and experience the world in a unified manner from the center of our being. We experience another being’s life in the same way that they experience their life.

The surrounding environment of what we perceive as the outer world belongs to the soul and is a projection of the mind necessary in order to experience itself in the world. When we observe something, we direct our attention onto or into it, our mind penetrates and indirectly (subtlety) affects it. We’re always influencing and subtlety affecting everyone and everything around us through our very perception of it, which reformulates its active and passive components in response or interaction with our mental state. Subtle energy is a concentration (quality) expanded over a greater area and therefore diluted (in physical terms) that, while it doesn’t cause an intense or pronounced affect in the physical realm, it does produce a greater affect over and extended period of time in the energetic realm. We could get a good idea of the difference between physical energy and subtle energy by thinking of the physical as an emotional charge or high amplitude or strong dose, that causes a immediate and intense affect that’s short lived and dies down fairly quick, and the subtle energy as more of a mood or low frequency that can last for days, weeks, or even months, and while it seems lighter in its effect, it lasts for a far greater period of time. The soul is capable of experiencing outside of the physical body, because the outer environment, which is all connected to and a part of the subconscious mind or instinctual field, belongs to is an innate part of the soul. The greater mind, universal consciousness, or the collective unconscious is all a part of the planetary mind that governs all life on the planet, and is of the same nature (or kingdom) as the human soul. This field of energy, which is also called the astral plane of light or the morphogenetic field of archetypal memory is the domain of the soul. The soul is astral light as pure consciousness that creates memory out of acquired experiences that evolve it through various states and build up as an accumulative affect.

 
All reality as we know it exists in planes of interwoven dimensions as a hierarchy of consciousness, also referred to as “kingdoms”. Within our physical reality we have the mineral, plant, animal, and human kingdoms. Each level of life, contains the entire lower level within its being, is interdependent on it, and the entirety of the lower plane(s) forms the fundamental basis for the next plane of life to spontaneously and naturally arise out of it. Out of the mineral kingdom comes the plant kingdom, comprised of the very minerals themselves and dependent on them for life. Out of the plant kingdom comes the animal kingdom, whose body is formed out of the mineral and plant kingdom, and out of which the human kingdom emerges as the avatar body for the divine soul of mankind. The human soul takes on an animal body, which provides the vehicle for experiencing the material world “as a body or individual”, in order to consciously evolve it to a higher level of moral intelligence and biological functioning. The entirety of the lower planes forms the foundation necessary for the next plane to grow and develop out of or ny way of it. The higher plane therefore contains within its very nature and substance, the combination of all planes below it, which is necessary for it to emerge as a unique life form through a natural evolutionary growth process. Just as Universal Laws all emerge out of each other as a form of unfolding or growth process, where the Monad contains within it the full potential of the other laws that systematically issue forth from it. This hierarchical structure of one level of reality consisting of multiple dimensions all interwoven into one greater reality is consistent throughout all of life as we know it. The mind which is of “pure experience” within itself, needs the entire outer world in order to set the stage for experiencing itself in the world as a part of the world. It acquires experience by way of the whole reality and the memory of the collective unconscious, which governs the instinctual mind that all of nature share in common.

Memory, which is inherent in the instinctual mind as its basic programming out of which all experience and behaviors are created, propagates and acts to create more of the same type of memories through the experiences formed out of them. The human soul has the creative capacity to willfully create new experiences of itself (in a body) that are not the unconscious reproduction of the memories produced by the lower mind through its formative conditioning, but it can only do so when it quits identifying with the past experiences of the body, and realizes that what it perceives as the outer world is actually a part of or the projection of itself as the means of directing the elements of the natural world in order to create experiences of itself. Through specialized use of our mind, we change our focus, perspective, and perception of reality, and form a different relationship with it that begin telling a different kind of story.

 
Because the soul enters into the body and becomes one with it, it experiences itself as the body, and shapes its identity as a sense of self to be the same as the body. The higher mind enters into relationship with the lower, animal mind, which is prone to instinctual tendencies and easily conditioned to automatic behaviors provoked through strong emotions and desires of some kind, and the human soul mistakes itself for being the same as the lower mind, and is shaped by the lower mind. Because the body creates in an unconscious fashion through compulsive tendencies without recognizing natural law or the consequences of it actions, the soul experiencing itself as the body, becomes the “errors” as a direct experience of itself. It is the reality of consciousness of the error. It’s inside the animal body experiencing a false reality. Because of this, the human soul begins identifying with the body, and forgets its true nature and ability to create by directing the natural forces of the material world. This is the religious idea that we’re all “born into sin”, with sin meaning error. It’s not that we’re born “bad”, but rather rendered unconscious without realizing our creative ability and our true identity as divine in nature.

Because we fail to recognize the creative ability of our mind and live our life out of an unconscious state programmed by childhood memory as our formative conditioning, we fail to create at all in the real sense, often having no power in our own life, and become instead the product of our conditioning. In this sense the body, like the entire material world, belongs to the soul, and not the other way around. The soul has the ability to control and direct the body, but it has to first realize its true identity and power over the material realm. The soul needs to become aware of itself within the body, and begin actively and intentionally using its will to step outside of redundant conditioning and create itself with awareness by purifying the body to be an appropriate vehicle for acquiring certain type of experiences. Only by identifying with our true nature and learning to utilize the power of our mind to enter into and directly influence the elements that make up the material world, does the divine soul serve the purpose of evolving the consciousness of the lower animal-soul, instead of digressing or devolving itself by being controlled by its own lower nature.

 
The human soul is the higher mind, and exists as a “state-of-mind”, which forms a paradigm (pattern) as a vibratory frequency based on accumulated experiences that form its memory. How we use our mind, is our soul power as our ability to self-create and therefore develop the perceptual lens we look through to experience what we call the outer reality or life conditions and circumstances. We can only change our life experiences by changing our mind as our “inner state” or soul mood. By working with our ability to choose how we’re going to be and the will to direct our own behaviors and activities to turn our choices into reality as our experiences, we shift our center of power and begin using our soul to create in life. By changing the qualities that make up our character, we change our attitude and perception. When we begin working with our “being”, and develop ourselves from the inside out, we step into our true power to be self-determined. In order to create in our life, we have to work on changing ourselves so that we’re the channel through which that experience of reality is possible as a natural perception of the outer world. By learning to identify with our true spiritual nature as our mind which is pure consciousness, we begin developing our eternal aspect, which exists independently from the body and transcends the body (continues living) at the death of our physical body. All reality is formed out of our mind as a mental projection, perception and experience of it.

Fate, Astrology, and the Seven Archons of the Material Planes

The material realm of matter is governed primarily by the subconscious aspect of the mind, which is the aspects that governs all of Nature and the animal kingdom as the instinctual field of mass consciousness, or what some think of as the collective unconscious. This field of intelligent energy is also known as the Astral Plane of the Earth, and is populated with principles and archetypes, that vibrate at different frequencies based on kingdoms (mineral, plant, animal, human) as the level of consciousness that govern the different kingdoms, which is further divided into the species and types of that kingdom. This forms the classification system that organizes the consciousness of all living systems that make up the natural world.

 
Within the material realm, all living creatures, with the exception of man, only possesses a level and degree of consciousness that “thinks for it”, by providing it with automatic behaviors regulated intuitively through feelings, emotions, impulses, and natural reactions. No aspect of the natural world here on Earth has the ability to self-create or create in the general sense through novel inventions and engaging in creative mental processes, with the exception of humans. Their life in terms of what we would call destiny, is predetermined by their species and classification, their living conditions and circumstances, and so on. All of which are governed by the natural forces of Nature, symbolically represented as Archons (angels), Archetypes, astrological influences, and the Elements. Their fate is set at birth, and they don’t have the ability to willfully alter the course of their life by thinking for themselves, actively problem-solving and choosing, or through their ability to imagine as the precursor to actual creation. Because of this, the subconscious mind is referred to as the faithful mind because it’s only course of action is based on programming. It’s the mind of automatic actions that respond to the environmental influences which are considered fateful. Its fate, so to speak, is set by the stars as a fixed pattern and range of possibilities that influence the natural forces of the material world of which it is subject to.

Man, born into the physical world through an animal body has the subconscious mind that’s natural to this world and governs all the natural biological processes of the body in an automatic and unconscious fashion, also possesses the higher aspect of the mind called the “self-conscious” mind and the Divine Soul that has free will and the ability to tune into higher forms of knowledge as the means of creating through original thought of some form. Through our inherent ability to develop ourselves through study and activities, and make decisions for ourselves hat actively impose a direction on our life and willfully determine our destiny. But only if we exercise our higher intellectual capacities of choice and free will. We only ever grow (break existing patterns) through striving and effort as willful action.

 
We are the only beings on this planet that have these higher capacities, but we have to realize it and actively choose to use our will in order to become an individual capable of thinking and doing for ourselves. If we don’t become self-aware and wake-up to our power to be self-determined, and live our life instead from a primarily unconscious state as the programming of our subconscious mind instilled through our conditioning, and instead allow ourselves to be pulled along and determined by our environment and the will of others, then we are subject to fate, and have the experience of life “happening to us” without any real control or say so.

 
When we live in a primarily unconscious state, unaware of our true identity, and act only out of natural, emotionally driven behaviors and reactions, easily directed and commanded by the influence of others, our lives are accurately predicted by our astrological birth charts, which govern the astrological influences of natural forces, cycles, and currents of the lower mind. Our life is then predetermined and prophesized by the automatic enactment of inherent tendencies and our basic predisposition. Throughout our life we’re governed by habitual and addictive tendencies, codependency of various sorts, and reactive emotional behaviors. Our emotions rule us and exercise constant control over us. Other people can easily exercise control over us by keeping us in an emotionally reactive state. Our life is lived from a primarily unconscious state where we live out the same tendencies over and over, in many different relationships through the various and evolving stages of our life. Our only thoughts are ones we received from others through some form of suggestion, education, reading, conversation, movie, song, etc. We stay in the same patterns formed and held into place by the same moods, feelings, emotions, thoughts, and actions. We can accurately use the events of the past to predict the future. We can look at the theme and path of their last relationship, and predict the future of their current relationship. No matter what they go through in life, they remain the same basic person.

The only way to move beyond the laws of one plane is to identify with the higher plane that resides over and governs it, and work by way of the laws that govern that higher plane. We can’t get away from the laws that govern our physical plane, but we can transcend it, and work by way of the laws that create and orchestrate it. To transcend the fate of an unconscious existence, is to realize our true identity as beings that are not “of this world”, but rather of a world that resides over it, and by using our ability to think for ourselves, make conscious decisions for our life, and willfully bring them into fruition, we can determine our own destiny, what path our life takes, and who we become as a result. Our awareness of our true inner self, who we are as a soul inhabiting our body, and giving that “part of ourselves” precedence within us, gives birth to our higher self or soul within the body of our lower self. We then consciously fashion ourselves to be an individual, and are no longer subject to the will of others, or blindly pulled along the currents of life as the group mind, which pull us every which way.

 
By waking up, becoming self-aware and coming to know ourselves as we truly are, and recognizing how our mind works according to the universal principles that govern and operate it through a group will, we can learn how to operate our own equipment while employing the higher laws of the mind that shape identity through individual will. We can separate ourselves from our emotions and the emotional charges and willful projections of others, learn to maintain control over ourselves, and consciously make decisions that will break past patterns and set into motion a new reality of our own making. We can become the captain of our own ship and through a sense of confidence in our abilities and adventure, and chart new courses never before experienced. We can regain our ability to not only be self-determined in every moment by how we’re being, but also through our ability to control ourselves, no longer be influenced by others, and instead directly bear an influence on them.

 
The natural forces that govern the material realm and act through the lower subconscious mind, commonly referred to as the Elements, are controlled by the higher mind through active use of the will and imagination. Through our will we can command and direct the energies of the natural world. When we recognize and step into our Divine birthright, and become as the gods we are kin to, and take possession of our power to willfully create our destined adventures by taking decisive actions and believing in ourselves and our ability to create new worlds. The right to choose our destiny is the birthright of every person. When other people, corporations, governments, or civilizations try to take that right away from us and we willingly cooperate, we accept the fate of whatever they offer, and lend our will to their creations by cooperating and complying to their will for us. Even in this situation, we are willingly giving them our life by allowing them to command our will and determine our actions. We act cooperatively to fulfill their ideas for us, and become as herded and caged animals when we do. Whatever we equate ourselves to, we become like in body and mind. Whatever we relate to and identify with, we align with, merge into, and become one with.

 
Either way, whether willful creation or blind submission . . . the choice is always ours!

Becoming Self-Aware: Learning to Observe Yourself

The starting point of all forms of Self development begins by becoming ‘aware’ of how your mind functions on a normal basis while you’re not tending it, or realizing what’s happening internally, and why. In order to begin observing ourselves requires us to learn how to take on a dissociated position as a form of “second person perspective”. We move outside of the direct experience we’re always involved in with our own internal dialoguing and feelings, and we simply take a perspective of observing our natural thoughts, and the natural processes that are always taking place within us as the basis for creating our everyday, moment by moment experiences as a relationship and interaction with everyone and everything around us. We’re constantly creating our life experiences by how we feel, think, and what memories we use as templates for rerunning and reforming our present experiences to mean the same thing, and be about the same thing as our past experiences.

 
The first key to all forms of introspection, self-reflection, and self-observation, is to realize that at no point in the process do we judge ourselves for what we feel and think, nor do we ever get involved in the dialogue of judging, explaining or justifying what we think, why we’re thinking it, and what we do. Because strangely enough, what you’ll find is that just as we defend our perspectives and behaviors to others, there’s an aspect of our internal dialogue that even justifies to ourselves why we think and do what we do as a means of making it okay, which allows us to “keep it”. Our goal here, in self-reflecting, is taking an objective perspective to simply begin realizing what type of thoughts we think on a regular basis, for no particular reason, or as a part of redundant thoughts born out of a theme we’re always playing out in our mind as a way of interpreting our outer reality by way of our inner reality which comes largely from a completely unaware state of automatic feelings, modes of thinking, and dwelling in memories of some sort that we replay constantly when we’re not focused on anything in particular, as a form of random or entertaining type of thoughts, that are for the most part habitual in nature.

To begin this practice, you have to simply make a commitment to it, and remind yourself periodically throughout your day, when it’s convenient, to simply stop what you’re doing, and become aware of what you’ve been thinking about. What type of story we’re you running through your mind, what type of description or explanation were you giving about something, or what memory were you rethinking about? Sometimes we run abstract ideas through our mind from a TV show we watched, a line in a movie, a song that we heard, something someone said to us, an article we read, something we’re curious about, wondering about, or as a form of anticipation of what’s going to happen in a situation much like a form of prophecy. Whatever it is, simply notice what it is, and become aware of it. Allow yourself to simply notice what it is that runs through your mind unattended.

 
As you begin becoming aware of the type of thoughts you tend to think without intention, allow yourself to also recognize what memories you’re always in the process of thinking about and running through your imagination in a variety of scenarios, and that you use to form predictions of the future by reliving them in the present. Stop and observe what ideas you run through your mind as a means of anticipating an event or activity. Then, allow yourself to notice how you “feel” based on what you tend to think about. What emotions and moods you tend to be in as a result of your thinking and imagining. Notice that all memories as a generalized idea that plays out a theme of some sort which have a distinct mood or emotional atmosphere to them. As you replay them, it causes you to feel the same way you felt when you were experiencing the memory. Just by thinking about them, makes you feel the same way. Allow yourself to notice how your thoughts are connected to your feelings. How thoughts and emotions are always connected. When you think about happy experiences, you feel happy. When you think about sad experiences, you feel sad. And how these emotions, feelings, and moods is either what cause you to think about whatever you’re thinking about, or they’re produced because you’re thinking about whatever you’re thinking about.

As you go through your day and someone or something causes an emotional reaction in you, have the awareness to stop in the middle of it, refrain from reacting to it, and simply observe what’s happening inside your body. Notice the distinct sensations you’re feeling in certain parts of your body that have certain qualities to them, such as, a tingling, jolting, buzzy, sinking, butterflies, sharp, dull, painful, arousing, and so on. As you recognize how it makes you feel, also notice what memory you associate the feeling too, and what behavior its prompting you to do. How do you want to act in reaction to it? What natural behavior would it normally cause in you if you weren’t refraining from acting? Notice the connection between an emotional trigger, the memory you associate to it, and the behavior inherent in it. This is what forms “reactions” as unconscious behaviors that are formed from a memory of some sort. Again, don’t judge or try to justify what’s happening, simply notice it. Become aware of it.

 
Also, as you go through your day, allow yourself to notice how the emotional energy of others feels. Become aware that you’re constantly picking up on the emotions of others, and they’re affecting you in a somewhat indirect and subtle, if not very direct manner. Then, as in the previous lessons, allow yourself to notice how their emotions “affect” (or infect) you by entering into or moving through you, and stimulating in you those same emotions and feelings. Become aware of how your body is being stimulated by the emotions being displayed around you. Notice how you can sense the energy of a room just by walking into it from the outside. How the room holds the energy of the people and activities being conducted or experienced by the people within it. And again, simply notice how the emotional atmosphere forms the same type of feelings in you just by being “in it”.

As you become more self-aware, you simultaneously become more aware of others and your environment. You can start becoming aware of what is normally happening inside of you and too you by your environment and your own thoughts. You can become aware of what memories you tend to hang onto and continue living out of that shaping your current perception of things, what you connect to first internally, then externally, and what mood or emotional state you tend to live out of as a result. You can begin becoming aware of how others directly affect and influence you just through the nature of the energy exchange that’s taking place as feelings, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You can begin shedding light on what’s normally operating in a habitual manner outside of your direct awareness. Just the awareness alone helps you to begin taking conscious control over your own thoughts, imagining, and emotional states.

 
We can only work with what we have a conscious awareness and basic understanding of. Becoming self-aware is the first step to moving into the practices that involve self-mastery by being able to not only control your own state of mind, but being able to direct your life by intentionally using your awareness of how feelings, thoughts, emotions, memories, and what we imagine as live scenarios directly affect how we first create our experiences, then use them as future memories to create more of the same type of experiences. We can obtain a new level of awareness around our relationships and how others act to influence us, what they activate and bring out in us, and how they serve to develop those tendencies in us. By becoming aware of what we were previously unaware of, we can see how it operates on us, through us, and because of us, and we can begin consciously controlling it and redirecting it in a more favorable manner. We can learn how to use positive memories and thoughts to automatically produce a positive state of mind. We learn how to stay present in our life instead of being caught up in endless distractions that keep us unconscious in the most basic sense. As with all things . . . awareness is the key! We can only work with what we’re aware of.

Relationships: Looking for Patterns in the Chaos – “Recognizing Dynamic Themes as Interactions with Ourselves in Others”

When we realize the true nature of the individual mind as the electromagnetic field that is grounded in, permeates and envelops the body, that is comprised of a dynamic network of interwoven patterns as memory of some sort acquired through various levels of experience which become our “psychology” as our perceptual lens that works through interpretation to restructure all external and objective reality to be of the same nature (patterning) as we are, we can realize we’re always seeing in others the same qualities that make up our constitution, and how we “act on them” is actually acting on ourselves “in” them. The confusion seems to come around two ideas, one as what do we mean by “aspects of ourselves” as qualities, and a lack of actual awareness of qualities we possess that we are in denial of, have repressed and suppressed that we don’t “own” or actually know we have as a result.

 
Aspect of the self, are qualities that form characteristics with behaviors in them as dynamic patterns that are thematic in nature, and contain opposite roles (or variety of roles) that are necessary to act out the theme as a drama of some sort to create an experience as a joint-reality of that characteristic expressed through a story. Everything in life exists as patterns (form as function) as whole ideas that have natural behaviors in them that create specific “types” of realities. We attract to, and draw to us, those who are ideal for acting out the same story as a joint experience that expresses the shared qualities of their character. So we naturally enter into relationships of various sorts where they possess the opposite and complementary qualities played out through “roles” to tell the same type of story as a co-creation that validates and supports both people’s belief-systems as a shared illusion (imaginary reality). For example; a person who continually perceives themselves as being a victim of some sort, naturally attracts to and enters into relationship with those who will “victimize them”. A “victim” needs a “victimizer” in order to act out a dynamic together that result in them feeling like a victim. All qualities are natural forces that exist in polarity as opposites that are complementary in acting out the pattern they both share a complementary role in.

vesicaLikewise, whatever qualities and character traits we deny in ourselves, and therefore repress by not owning (recognizing) or acknowledging them, we simultaneously project onto others, by assigning those same traits to them by how we interpret their behaviors, then we form a strong reaction to them based on our own interpretation. By this means we see our repressed qualities that we’re not directly aware of because we formed an illusion around them as a story we tell ourselves that serves to deny it, or make it out to be something entirely different than it really is. When we realize the laws governing the mind and the fact that all perception is a form of projection created by looking through the “lens” of our mind we can realize what our own hidden qualities are, often referred to as our shadow aspects, because they live in the dark within us without any clear recognition, and are projected onto others as what we see in them that’s of the same nature (vibratory frequency) as us. Perception operates according to the principle of resonance. We literally can’t see in others what doesn’t first exist in us. What’s “of” us, we react to (resonate with), and what’s not, we don’t even notice (have no reaction).

 
Intuitively, we’re always tuning into the feelings (vibrations) of the heart, which senses and understands everything around it as an inner knowing, and sees (perceive) only that which we also “feel” by the spiritual (energetic) intelligence (patterning) of the mind through the imagination, which reforms them through an adaptation process as an interpretation that forms an illusion around them as a personification of what is in reality, a neutral and separate person, place, or thing. We then begin to speculate within the realm of our own illusion (imagining according to us) distorting the truth and behold instead our own hallucinations that we mistaken for being “real” or factual”, when in fact, they’re pure fiction.

This is why we say that “what a person thinks of you, has nothing to do with you, but simply reveals who they are”. Because we’re never really seeing others as they truly are in the objective sense, but through our own interpretations that make them fit into our story about things in a way that makes sense to us as a means of creating our experience of them. And likewise, the same holds true in reverse. Our opinions of others seldom have anything to do with them, but rather express our judgments of them in terms of the same judgments assigned to behaviors that we also possess, and often repress because we judge ourselves just as harshly for the same tendencies, which is why we come to deny them in ourselves. So for the purpose of self-preservation, we distort it with a story that makes the same behavior out to be something entirely different. While the actual behavior is the same, our “reason” for doing it is different than we imagine another persons reason for doing the same behavior is. We create a reason for it that justifies it while simultaneously validating our right to judge others for what are in reality the same behaviors that we demonstrate.

 
All perception is in fact . . . self-perception. How we experience someone or something, is completely an inner creation that’s expressing our model of the world, while simultaneously revealing it. This is the minds way of showing us parts of ourselves that we can’t ordinarily see, because the primary basis for all healing . . . is awareness! Once we realize this fact, we can use it to identify hidden aspects within ourselves that we have repressed, and by becoming aware of and acknowledging them we can begin working with them in an aware and intentional manner.

The most basic process for bringing this idea into practice within your daily life is to allow your mind to think about others as you normally do and simply take on an altered, second-person perspective of observing your own thoughts. Don’t judge yourself for having those thoughts, or begin justifying them in some way, but simply notice what they are, and notice what the central theme of them are. As you get a clear idea of what or how you’re evaluating the person or behavior as a “value judgment” (bad, wrong, stupid, mean, asshole, jerk, slut, etc.), abstract the behavior being demonstrated that warrants the judgment, separating it out from the meaning you’re giving it, and ask yourself . . . how am doing the same thing in my own life? Where and when do I display the same tendencies, while perceiving them in a different way? And what am I telling myself when I do these same behaviors that justify my right to do them? What story do I tell myself that makes the same type of behaviors seem different?

 
Self-reflection through an understanding of resonance and projection allows us to identify tendencies within ourselves that we are in denial of, fail to recognize or own, or that we have build defense mechanisms around. What we defend ourselves against, we readily “see in others” and tell ourselves a story about it that exonerates us by persecuting them in the same manner that we have been persecuted. A person who has always been made to feel as if they’re not “good enough”, for example, will have a tendency to make other people feel the same way in relationship with them, by acting to “lower” them somehow, or make them feel inferior to them. They’ll do it in the same way (attitude and behavior) that it was done to them. If they we’re constantly criticized, then they’ll do it by having the same tendency to criticize others. If they we’re constantly corrected with an attitude of frustration or intolerance, then they’ll do it to others in the same way.

 
Our conditioning programs us with whole patterns as interactive dynamics where we are conditioned to the behavioral dynamics we’re raised with, and continue to act out those same dynamics as we go through life in numerous ways. What was done unto us by others, we in return, perform those same behaviors in how we perceive and treat others, giving them the same feeling that we were programmed with. Because these “programs” are apart of our unconscious make-up, and we’ve built illusions around them that prevent us from seeing them as they really are, we can use our knowledge of projection to recognize hidden tendencies in ourselves as our unconscious programming, and in becoming aware of it, we can begin to work with it in a conscious manner, to change our own mind-set about things and begin developing new patterns of perception and behaviors by actively choosing instead unconsciously reacting. We can begin realizing that the only way the “world changes” for us, is by changing ourselves, because our perception is what creates the world around us. The outer world is transformed inwardly. Our outer world is produced by and equivalent to our inner world.

Conscious Programming – “The Art of Self-Creation”

The conscious aspect of the mind has the ability to program the subconscious mind, yet we have to first realize that they actually speak (work by) different languages. The conscious mind is abstract and thinks in terms of verbal language as words that lack behavior as actualizing, whereas the subconscious mind is experiential and emotional in nature and speaks in terms of pictures and sensory images as life-like realities that mimic actual memories. The conscious mind programs the subconscious (body awareness) through the imagination as an inner vision that transforms an abstract idea into a conceptualized reality. The imagination as the mind’s eye takes a basic idea, and through the process of applying it to a specific situation or set of circumstances, reinterprets it by personalizing it. We imagine it “as if” we were actually experiencing it as a real life situation. This creates the idea as a living pattern equivalent to a memory, which the subconscious uses to produce behavior that “acts out” the same scenario as a real life experience.

 
By imagining the desired idea as a reality, we not only create a pattern for application, but also create it as a believable possibility that we simultaneously identify with through the enactment. This creates the desired reality as an inner reality that the subconscious superimposes on the outer reality, organizing and reinterpreting it accordingly. The mind constructs realities by how it composes ideas to give them meaning. The meaning we give an idea determines how we experience it. Meaning shapes experience. It takes the imagined reality as an actual experience, which integrates and incorporates it through an accumulative effect that modifies the current paradigm as a system of beliefs based on memory (living realities) as a unification of the physical with the spiritual that provides a new template for generating thematic realities as analogous correspondences. It creates experiences that are of the same nature as a form of theme.

We take an abstract idea as a universal theme, and create an inner reality as a template that produces a frequency that’s used to magnetize and organize the outer reality as being of a similar nature. It won’t be exactly the same as the inner imagining, because it can only use elements in the immediate environment that are of the same frequency and therefore lend themselves to telling the same type of story. The outer experience will be of the same nature and basic idea of the imagined reality based on what’s available in the immediate environment that can be used to orchestrate the experience as a congruent theme.

 
Ideas, as feeling experiences, represent a vibratory frequency that attracts what is of the same nature and therefore has the same inherent tendencies that can be used to express the same idea as a joint reality. Whatever is of a different frequency, likewise, is simultaneously repelled. We only “see” ourselves (what matches our paradigm) in others and our environment, even though many other possibilities coexist within the same space and time. What is of the same nature as us we not only notice and give attention to (it stands out), we simultaneously allow to enter into us (energetic sympathy), stimulating an inner reaction (resonance) to it as a result. This is what we refer to as chemistry that produces a natural interaction based on an affinity of sorts.

 
When we allow ideas to readily and willingly be introduced into our mind, and take hold by thinking about them, we are allowing ourselves to be “programmed” by others or an external source. We then become subject to it because it acts to “tune us” to the same vibratory frequency as a joint reality that we create inward using our own mind. We allow ourselves to be determined – created – by outside forces. This is the result of the subconscious and passive aspect of the mind as our animalistic (body) nature that can be readily trained and domesticated by outside influences that we align with and allow to control us. We are influenced by another mind that imposes a direct influence on us, dominates by introducing an active force as an idea that’s willingly accepted by our passive and receptive mind, that controls us by absorbing and commanding our will.

When we give our will to the service of another by conforming to them, they act to control us and determine our behavior, which also shapes our identity accordingly. We enter into a sympathetic relationship with them, and through suggestion that acts to modify and manipulate our inner reality, we respond to them in a very predictable way. They train us to behave in a certain way by how they interact with us. Through the emotional quality of their communication, which acts as the hook for seating ideas in the imagination, allowing them to take hold long enough to develop them into personal realities by thinking about them in a compulsive manner. They “give us” emotional thoughts that are theirs, and we adopt them and then act to develop them as our own. This forms the basis of what we refer to as the “group mind” which is ultimately a form of subliminal mind entrainment designed to train people to certain types of behavior that they mistaken for their own.

 
Once we understand how we use our mind to self-create by creating internal realities that become the living patterns for outer realities of the same nature, we can withdraw our mental and emotional power from the group mind, and use our imagination to self-create in unique and individual ways instead. We can program our own mind and body by creating inner experiences of our desired reality, then enhancing them with sensory details, while infusing them with very positive emotions that magnetize them by making them compelling. Positive attracts and grows, negative repels and diminishes. To “become” by growing ourselves, is achieved through positive and active means, while allowing our negative, self-sabotaging aspects to fall away and subside, because we no longer keep them alive in our imagination. Fill your mind constantly with what you desire to experience and how you want to feel as a result. Sense yourself in very desirable ways that will shape your identity accordingly and will form your character as the means of bringing ideas into physical form as experiences that are self-perpetuated and performed by you!
