Soul Memory and the Journey of Self-Creation through the Space-Time Continuum

The true nature of what we call time and space as “material reality” is elusive in the ultimate sense, yet quite obvious when we really look at how we form an experience of it. The problem tends to come when we imagine that both time and reality is something that exists apart from us and not dependent on our perception of it. Yet, if we really look at what it is that creates the “experience” of time and space, we can realize in the most direct sense, that it’s formed exclusively out of “memory”. The entire material world is consistently constructed and reconstructed moment by moment out of memory of some kind relived in the imagination. Things only “exist” as they’re “perceived” in the imagination by remembering them. Without the memory of something, it can’t be thought about and relived in the mind’s eye as existing outside of the present moment.

DNA, which is what’s used to form the entire material world, carries memory as information that it uses for organizing matter into a specific formula for constructing and animating a physical form. The “organizing force” comes as an active life-force that enters into DNA as a single cell and activates a process of regeneration and specialization that systematically constructs a whole living being. This life-force energy organizes memory in such a way that it creates a specialized being of a certain species, while giving it a somewhat unique personality, that has its place in the natural order of a larger Eco-system, all of which is constructed out of the same primary group of information that’s organized into different formulas as variations of the same overall pattern. It creates the body with certain attributes, qualities, and characteristics that produce natural abilities, behaviors, and tendencies.

DNA, like the mind itself, is what forms the physical body and personality as an “ideal vehicle” for the soul to inhabit out of “shared memory” that’s of the same nature. The mind re-informs the memory of the DNA of the body by acquiring and integrating new types of information that it integrates as experiences as a reality that form new memory. How the body manifests and consistently regenerates itself throughout a lifespan, is based on its memory and how that memory is transformed and evolved by the mind and soul that inhabits it and uses it to express through by creating experiences. Memory is used as the means for creating all of our experiences as a regenerative process that produces more experiences and memory of the same nature and kind.

The higher soul of the human being, which has the ability to self-create, is formed as an “identity” that’s also formed out of accumulated memory as self-produced experiences of itself, and “matches” the memory of the personality and body, making it an ideal instrument for the identity of the soul to incarnate and create itself. An “artist” as a kind of person, is of the soul, whereas the dexterity, desire, and natural abilities are of the body and personality, and together they create a “coherent experience” of the “self” as being an artist of some kind. The soul can either choose a body (memory) that facilitates its identity in a harmonious way, or that produces challenges to creating that identity that must be overcome in order to achieve that identity as an experience of itself. The soul creates itself by telling a certain “type of story” that has a twist to it that alters the nature of the telling.

Our “story”, which is how we create ourselves, is completely based on and constructed out of memory. The “past” only exists in the present through our memory of it. We restructure the present out of memory of the past, producing a consistent experience of reality. If we lose our memory of the past we don’t “know who we are” because we can’t reconstruct it in our mind’s eye as the story about our self. The “self” is a creation of the soul as an “idea” that it plays out within our current life conditions. Who we “become” is based on how we create our experiences of the events of our life that form our memories of our self. Memory as a certain identity (archetype) couples with the memory of the body (ancestral) and personality to produce more memories of the “same nature” as a unique variation that’s formed by adapting and modifying it to a new set of circumstances, altering it to tell a somewhat different type of story about the same “kind of person”.

Universal and Personal

What we refer to as the human soul, which is bestowed with higher capacities of the mind to self-create, acts as the “medium” between the spiritual plane of universal memory (archetypes) and the material plane of personal (modified archetypes) memory. All personal memory is produced by using archetypal ideas of a universal theme and applying it to a specific set of circumstances and conditions to produce a new memory of the same “type of idea” as a personal creation. The creative (human) soul has the ability to choose what ideas it uses to create itself, and forms a “soul-matrix” as a dynamic structure formulated by a cluster of qualities used to create experiences that then form the memory of itself “as” something specific. A universal idea is drawn down from the higher plane of pure potential (as an unformed idea) into the mind of the soul, where it then undergoes a constant evolutionary process of transformation to be reformed as a personalized version of the same idea. It’s modified through the person’s mental paradigm and as it’s being applied to a specific set of circumstances to produce experiences of a unique and personal nature.

This is the same principle as a creative process that operates instinct as the universal memory and knowledge that drives and produces all activity of the natural world from an unconscious state that’s “intuitive and automatic” in nature. Humans possess higher capacities of self-creation as self-awareness, the ability to evaluate, choose and decide, and the will to act out our decisions. We can choose what ideas we focus on, give life to inside of us by imagining them as internal realities, using to shape our character by how we form them into a story that produces how we experience of our self. The human soul has the ability to create itself from a fully conscious state through the same type of process as natural selection that governs the natural world through an unconscious state. We act to produce our own experiences out of a larger shared reality, by actively deciding what memories of ourselves we use to first produce as an experience, and then absorb and integrate back into us in order to upgrade and evolve our “model of the world” to produce a consistent and congruent story about ourselves.

Universal memory is drawn down from a higher plane through resonance and used to create personal memory of the same nature. The higher soul, which is primarily of a universal nature, then acts to transform the experience back into a universal, non-personal memory as more of a “theme” upon the death of the body. The memory of a specific “type of experience” attained while in a body and located within time and space as a “specific entity”, is retained by the higher soul as a universal idea that can then be applied equally to any set of conditions and circumstances to produce the same type of experiences. Our memory of a specific cat, for example, isn’t retained by the soul as that specific cat, but returned to a somewhat universal status as our experience of “cats in general”. It becomes a generalized memory that forms our impression of all cats as a general idea, and whether or not we like, dislike, or feel a connection with them. As the soul incarnates into a new body and life conditions, it brings a general predisposition towards cats with it, and uses it to form similar relationships and experiences of cats within its new expression of itself.

The Nature of Time and Space

What we experience as “time and space” doesn’t exist outside of our memory of it. What we call “space” is formed out of “information” organized into a 3-D, holographic form as an energetic matrix that’s constructed out of memory. All reality is based on our perception of it and only exists in our mind as a mental construct. What we experience as the objective and neutral reality that appears to exist apart from us as Nature and mass consciousness is formed in exactly the same way out of universal memory constructed within the greater universal mind on a larger scale (commonly called a “plane of existence”). This greater reality of the “collective unconscious” is produced out of the same “thematic ideas” as Archetypes that we then use to create within the same overall mental construct to produce specialized versions as personal creations of the same nature. The entire natural world is holographic in nature and is formed out of the same group of information organized at the individual level into specialized (personal) versions (patterns as formulas) that perform different operations and functions of a larger overall idea in a unique way.

Quantum Physics, Time Travel and Timelines

Quantum physics, which is the area of modern day science that’s rediscovering Ancient Knowledge of Spiritual Sciences, has demonstrated the nature of the relationship that exists between consciousness and matter, and the (individual) minds ability to “influence” matter into different versions of an overall shared idea. Through this realization as an observation (not based on belief), we also know that “time doesn’t exist” in the ultimate sense of the idea, and is actually produced out of the mind itself as a mental construct of memory. Time travel therefore is based on “timelines” of the person or object being moved back and forth in time as the reconstruction of shared memory. Where we’re able to “go” in time and what location we can go to, is based on the memory of the individual or object being transported.

The soul, which is comprised solely of memory, can only go back or forward in time based on its memory of itself, and the places it formed those memories out of. It “can’t” access realities and experiences it has no memory of. This is the entire basis for “past life regression”, and why there is confusion around whether or not the soul of the individual is really accessing universal memory, the ancestral memory of its current genetic make-up, or actual memory created by the soul itself in what appears to be “previous” lifetimes. This is because they’re all ultimately the same thing, all formed out of the same thematic idea that lends themselves to endless applications to produce an infinite number of variations. The human soul creates itself as a “unique archetype” by borrowing universal memory to transform into a unique variation as personal memory. We are all “multidimensional” in nature, and are comprised of the same primary archetypes (gods of the zodiac) formulated in different ways to produce a unique variation as the means of creating ourselves to be “god-like”.

A key discovery that Nikola Tesla made years ago regarding time travel as teleportation from one location to another within the same dimension, and demonstrated through the “Philadelphia Experiment”, was the importance of “timelines as memory”, not only of the individuals involved, but of the object or ship itself. All material objects, whether organic or inorganic, “contains” the memory used to fabricate them, as well as the memory of all events and activities it went through and that were being played out around or in them. Memory isn’t just contained in a material object itself, but is also recorded as a mental imprint in the “space” as the invisible field around the object. Every material object, whether living or not, is accompanied by an electromagnetic field of organized information as memory that’s used to structure and generate it, hold it together in a unified manner, and animate it through a specific set of behaviors and functions. As Tesla proved, if people and an object are being moved back or forth in time together, they have to be of the same timeline as shared memory.

This energetic field that exists in the empty space around us that contains an infinite amount of both personal and universal memory is also commonly referred to as the Ether, Astral Plane of (star) Light, and the Akashic Field as the Book of Life or Hall of Records. The memory of every individual, being, or thing, is contained in the electromagnetic field (auric field) that surrounds, permeates, and inhabits it, and is what acts to “inform it” as its “life memory”. These accumulated memories act to form the “timeline” of the being or object and always accompanies it as long as it “exists” as a material form of some kind. This is because memory is what acts to produce the material form. When the soul leaves the body, it absorbs all memory of itself attained while in the body, while transforming it back into a somewhat universal state, and exists within the astral plane “as” memory in its potential state.

The Spiritual Nature of Material Form

The entire material world is created through a step-down process of soul memory forming the subconscious memory of both the soul and body, and the memory of the DNA used to construct the body, all of which form a unified being of the same nature and likeness. DNA contains information as a combination of memory that’s activated and organized by an animating energy (life-force) that ultimately produces something out of nothing. Matter itself is comprised of empty space as light (photons) that’s “neutral and dead” (passive) in nature and only organized into a living form by the soul as specialized memory that inhabits it. Matter as Astral (star) Light (essence) is formed into an “empty shell” that the soul can then inhabit as the means of creating itself. The soul, which is universal in nature, locates itself within the space-time continuum by constructing a light-body as the means of self-expressing and creating itself by way of its own self-produced experiences of reality. The soul is what first produces then gives life to the body. When the soul leaves the body, it’s no longer alive and dies and eventually disintegrates.

The “spirit” provides the memory as complete patterns of information used by the soul to produce a unique and individual physical equivalent or prototype out of. The memory of the DNA in a single cell is activated and used to produce a greater physical form by reproducing itself in a continuous process of division, specialization, and differentiation. As the single cell divides and doubles, it produces numerous “aspects of itself” that all function in different ways to create a whole organism comprised of trillions of reproductions that act together in perfect unison to create what appears as a single reality. As the soul and body combine to form a unique variation of the same type of memory, they continue to regenerate forming new memory by how it’s applied to new circumstances, expressing the same idea in new ways to form new types of memory that are of the same basic nature. It “re-informs itself” through the integration and assimilation of memory that it first produces, then absorbs and uptakes to shape itself in new ways as an evolutionary process of growth and development.

Individuality of the Soul

The soul creates itself as an “individual” by how it associates and identifies with its own self-created experiences. The lower soul of the animal body, lives out of the memory of its formative conditioning and genetic constitution as a part of the group mind, and lacks any form of individuality that sets it apart from the group. When the higher, human soul lives out of its conditioning of the current body and personality that’s created from a primarily unconscious state, it simply creates a constant form of the same type of experiences over and over, while rejecting and arguing against the acceptance and incorporation of any new kinds of information that would serve to upgrade its “model of the world” to produce new perceptions that would bring new types of experiences and memories that would serve to “evolve itself” accordingly.

Anytime the soul exists as someone or something specific, it’s formed out of its own individual memory that it acted to create of itself while inhabiting a physical body of some form. When the soul leaves a body, all memory attained through that body as its “personal memory” is transformed back into its universal, archetypal state as a thematic or generalized idea. Then when the soul inhabits a new body and personality, that same memory as a form of theme, can be readily applied in a brand new way to create in a similar manner as a new variation of itself. At the death of the body, all memory is absorbed by the soul in a way that’s no longer based on how it identified with the body, but rather as it used the body to create itself by what story it served to tell by how it lived its life. The body, like the entire material realm, which is located in space and time, is produced by the mind of the soul as the reenactment of accumulated memory. Our soul memory and the reality it acts to produce is what forms the basis for what is commonly called “karma”.

The Eternal Nature of the Soul

The idea of immortality and mortality is all based on what aspect of ourselves we identify with and how we perceive ourselves as a result. The body is firmly located within “space and time” as a “created being” in a specific location as a specific personality, and is therefore mortal in nature. The soul, which inhabits and gives life to the body, exists as an “idea” that provides the “potential” as the basis for creating itself as a “physical form” that’s of a certain nature. The soul is comprised of pure memory that acts as the means for producing material form on different scales and magnitudes simultaneously. It doesn’t act to just create the body that it then inhabits as a means of expressing to create itself, but the entire physical world of the body as its reality or the “stage that sets the basis for creating as a life-drama”.

The soul doesn’t just exist outside of time and space, but is actually what “creates the illusion” of time and space. When it’s not “inform” as a body and personality, it doesn’t exist within the material dimension of time and space as a located being, but exists within the astral plane of formation as the memory (vibratory frequency) that provides the means for producing the entire physical world as we know it. It doesn’t just create the body that it then inhabits, but creates the entire outer reality that the body exists in as the landscape and setting of the same type of memory. Experiences all come as both an “internal formation of an idea” that then acts as the “perceptual lens and filtering system” for perceiving that same idea outside of ourselves on a larger scale, providing the means for acting it out as a drama of some kind in order to produce an “experience of it”.

The soul is of both a personal and universal nature, which means it’s both the smaller individual mind and the larger universal mind simultaneously. The inner (personal) and outer (universal) world are reflections and projections of each other, and just as universal memory is used to produce personal memory, the outer reality that the soul “lives in” is also produced by it through its universal nature. The entire material world as we perceive it is a product of our soul’s memory as the means of self-expression and self-creation. As we express outwardly creating an experience, we form a realization of ourselves through and as the experience. The human soul and mind exists within the astral plane of Formation and is what constructs the entire 4-dimensional world out of memory as the means of perceiving and experiencing itself in order to create and transform itself through a self-perpetuating process of growth and development.

Mental, Emotional, and Physical Purification – The Prerequisite for Transcending to Higher Forms of Consciousness

The definition for the purification process is to remove toxins, pollutants, and contaminates, returning it to an original state of purity. It’s the process of making something spiritually or ceremonially “clean”. Free from anything that debases, pollutes, adulterates, degrades, or contaminates it. Clean of all “foreign” elements. In the spiritual sense it means freeing the soul from sin and guilt, which means errors in perception and actions, and doing things that you feel or know are wrong or bad somehow. It comes as a form of restoration of grace that redeems our soul and promotes our salvation. It’s removing from our mind and body anything that defiles, desecrates and makes us profane, that violates and corrupts, or that perverts and tarnishes us in some way. It’s cleansing ourselves of all forms of negativity that act to reduce us somehow in terms of our morality. It comes through our ability to resist temptation of physical pleasures and impulses that will cause us to “acquire” qualities that will digress us to a lower, animal-like nature.

The goal of undergoing the process of self-purification is to produce a state fit for a specific purpose that requires us to meet certain standards. The higher soul, which is non-material and eternal in nature, is “unchangeable” because it’s pure in nature and isn’t influenced or affected by material elements. It doesn’t blend or mix with anything of a different nature. The human soul and the body form a relationship as an amalgamation where they blend with each other and take on the same state, qualities, characteristics, and tendencies. By removing all of the negative influences that have served to mask our true nature and corrupt our consciousness with passions and desires that render us “animal-like” (unconscious), we return to our essential self as being “in this world but not of it”. We can free ourselves of all material passions and addictions and the illusions they create that keep us in a constant state of bondage as longing for meaningful experiences, craving physical pleasure, wanting material possessions, and suffering when our cravings aren’t met somehow.

In order to understand the true process of self-purification from a soul level, we have to look objectively at the nature of desire, lust, connection and the power of the magnetic forces of the material plane that we experience as emotion. Whatever we feel a connection to, we have a desire and longing for. We think about it naturally and on a regular bases, gravitate towards it by always seeking it out somehow, wondering about it, and dream about what it will be like when we unite with it, experience it and become “one with it”. All of which tunes us to the same vibration and “magnetizes us” to it. Whatever image or idea we hold in the mind as a mental impression that we develop into a vivid reality as a possible experience of it, we align ourselves with and alter our vibration to match it. This is the most basic law, the Law of Vibration as resonating with something that we unconsciously seek out and “enter into” as the experience of it from “within it”, that acts to modify our mind through the incorporation of it as a memory of some form, causing us to vibrate at the same frequency. We’re always calibrating ourselves vibrationally by what we think about and imagine as a reality, and what we actively participate in.

Whatever we willingly become one with in mind and emotion (chemically), we become the “same as” in terms of frequency, and it becomes a part of our normal thoughts and what we associate with that keeps our body tuned to the emotional chemistry of the thought, which forms a gravitational field between the imaginary idea within us and that same idea outside of us. As we think and imagine, we feel and sense, and we provide our subconscious mind with a pattern as a virtual memory to use to not only produce our physical expression and behaviors to be of the same nature, but to draw and direct our attention to that same idea all around us. It becomes like a beacon of sorts that stands out when we naturally scan the environment by making it take on an enhanced quality that seems more vivid and intimate than other ideas that we don’t think about or entertain much. In this way, through the very nature of our thoughts and what we choose to “let into” our mind and entertain by contemplating and give our attention to on a regular basis, we align ourselves to that idea as a mental and emotional state, and it becomes a part of “us” as an inherent and regular part of our reality.

Once a compelling mental image or strong emotional event is allowed to penetrate and inhabit our mind, it can become a permanent thought as our ability to reference it in association with something else. It becomes a memory that populates our thoughts with more of the same type of thoughts. As we encounter other ideas of a similar nature, it pops into our mind and plays out as a means of creating our experience of the present based on how we associate it with the past. While there are many things we can’t help seeing, witnessing, or becoming a part of because they’re a natural part of our immediate and everyday reality, we can and do make constant conscious decisions as to what we intentionally or willingly engage in and give our concentrated attention to, and “let into our mind”, and allowing it to “take hold” by continuing to think about it. As we engage in the reality of the thought, forming it into an experience, we integrate it into our mind as a virtual memory that’s used just like a real memory to create us to be of the same nature, and it becomes a possibility for an actual experience. We “tune ourselves” to it through the very act of thinking about it as a sensory reality that we’re in the process of experiencing.

Thought and emotion are always intimately connected as one produces and gives rise to the other and are of the “same nature”, because thought produces and idea as an imagined reality experienced in sensory terms as feeling sensations that produce emotion as the physical chemistry of that reality. Emotions, being of a material nature, produced by sensory stimulus that’s produced in response to thought, is the “language of the material world” that’s always being communicated through a natural form of energetic transmission that flows freely through the atmosphere (astral plane) in which our body acts as a receiver for. Just as thought provokes the emotion associated to the thought in the individual mind, emotion also provokes thought that produces the reality of the emotion in the imagination. Emotions exist as more of an “archetypal theme” designed to produce automatic, unconscious behaviors, and are what drive the instinctual plane of the animal kingdom, of which our body is a kin to.

All emotion serves to automatically produce certain types of reality by first altering the chemistry of our body through energetic stimulus that modifies our “state of mind” (energy field) accordingly through resonance, and utilizes our will by controlling our thoughts to produce the “type of reality” that serves to naturally express and produce more of the same emotion. So while the thoughts themselves as an imagined reality may vary from individual to individual, all being stimulated with the same emotion, the type of reality as a “theme” and the behavior it automatically produces will be the same (very similar). Emotions, when left unchecked, render us unconscious because they take control of our physiology and run our mind, controlling and determining how we perceive and behave, and what type of dynamics we naturally engage in.

We are literally being “given our thoughts” as mental impressions by other people that we communicate with, and various forms of media that bombard us with constant ideas as videos, movies, advertisements, propaganda, articles, sayings, pictures, music, and so on, much of which we readily engage in while in a passive state of non-resistance (being entertained by it), or through sensationalism of some form being used as an emotional hook by how it’s presented, that we feel magnetically drawn to, or have simply been trained to give our mind over to anything that’s out there vying for our attention. The whole quest of culture and society is to take control of our will by introducing information as sensationalized ideas that we willingly take in an incorporate into our mental paradigm and therefore act as a natural channel for it by participating in it in a fully cooperative manner. Anything that becomes a part of our everyday reality we accept as normal, build it into our experience in a way that makes sense to us, and fail almost completely to recognize as a program that we’re being given and systematically conditioned to.

Whatever we take in from our environment unsuspectingly and without careful analysis or discretion, or any form of actual awareness as to what it is, what it means, and how will affect us, conditions us as a primary form of hypnosis. We’re literally given our thoughts in a fully interpreted manner as the visual reality and how we’re supposed to feel about that reality. We’re told what that reality will mean in terms of benefiting from it if we accept it as a natural part of us and lend our will to participate in creating by “becoming it” in mind, emotion, and actions. We’re always “becoming” by what we combine ourselves with, associate with, and create ourselves by way of. As we think, imagine, feel, emote, and do, we sense ourselves “as”, and it shapes us by way of becoming the same as it.

To purify the mind and emotions is to become aware of this natural process and begin working by way of it in a conscious and intentional manner. This means to first become aware of your own habits, what you expose yourself to and participate in without full awareness of what you’re doing as more of a habit or addiction, what relationships you maintain and how they influence and affect you, and what environments and situations you place yourself in as a part of your daily routine. It comes through an awareness of how you’re acting “on yourself” to willingly condition yourself to a form of mass brainwashing as social entertainment and information delivered through media that all of society is unknowingly and eagerly participating in. It begins by choosing to wake up and become aware, then exercising your creative power to consciously choose and willingly act out those choices to begin directing and determining your own mind and behaviors.

The minute you choose to take back censorship of your own mind and body, no longer created by others and society, and immediate question arises, and that is “who am I?” Who and how do I want to be? If I’m going to intentionally create myself and govern my own thoughts and emotions, what kind of thoughts and emotions do I want to have? It brings us face-to-face with the reality of who we are and the tremendous responsibility of consciously creating ourselves. Something many go their whole life without ever realizing. To choose to be conscious and fully aware in your everyday life as the initial step into the process of self-creation brings with it a great deal of responsibility and accountability, and can be very disruptive to your current life. Once we begin becoming fully conscious in what was previously unconscious processes that were forming us by the will of others, and we begin looking at habitual behaviors, routines, and activities that we engage in without direct awareness of what was actually happening, we can hit a moment of crisis that can seem overwhelming because we realize we’ve been living our entire life out of a conditioned state that lacked any actual form of “self-awareness”. We often don’t know where to begin because we see so many things that need to be changed that no longer engaging in them impulsively and sporadically would cause mayhem.

This is because the way we change behaviors and activities isn’t necessarily by addressing and working with the behaviors themselves, but rather by recognizing and working directly with the “state of mind” out of which they naturally arise as expressions and natural behaviors. All thought and emotion that form the basis and motivate our behavior arise naturally out of our state of mind as our paradigm, or attitude, beliefs, values, preferences, decisions, memories, and so on, as a form of by product. By changing our values and beliefs, we naturally change all of our behaviors that result from them. We have to change how we look at something and how we interpret it through a new awareness of it in order to change how we naturally exist in relationship with it and how we interact with it as a result. Once we change our perception of something, all behaviors that resulted from it change automatically. When we habitually engage in the activities that resulted from the old perception, we become very aware of it and it no longer captivates us, we can’t stay with it, or, it no longer seems interesting. Its magnetic quality subsides and dissipates, and we forget about it.

Once we choose to be aware in areas and ways we were previously unaware, or had a different awareness around, we can begin consciously choosing what we expose ourselves to and what we don’t. We can decide what activities to participate in and which ones not to. Which relationships we continue to maintain, and which ones we let go of. We can provide ourselves with new information of a desirable nature that will grow us in ways we want to be grown. We can begin participating in new kinds of activities that bring us new kinds of experiences that are more in alignment with who we are and what we stand for. We can disconnect from the mindless activities of society that’s asleep and being given their thoughts and emotions, and we can begin thinking for ourselves and engaging in a form of constant study that causes us to think in new ways, imagine new possibilities, and feel in ways that will foster our growth to a positive means.

Perhaps the most important thing that waking up within your own life and becoming aware brings about is becoming aware of your “self”. Who you are as a soul, and learning how to take responsibility for you own creation through intentional use of your ability to realize, think for yourself, decide, and act out your decisions creating your reality, experiences, and self by way of your ability to think in original ways. By being able to consciously direct ourselves out of our conditioned and habitual mindset, we can take back control of our own destiny and guide ourselves down a deliberate evolutionary path of self-discovery and self-creation.

Temptation – The True Nature of Choice, Will, and Facilitating a Process of Change

The definition of temptation is to induce a person to committing an act by manipulation, seduction, curiosity, strong desire, or out of the fear of loss. Something that coaxes us to engage in short-term urges of enjoyment that threatens long-term goals. We seem to decide between two things, both of which are desirable and compelling in some way, which means we have to give up one of them in order to have or create the other, and a form of internal conflict ensues as a result. We still have a strong desire for what we’re “giving up” while simultaneously knowing that if we engage in it we’ll regret it in the long run, we’ll sabotage ourselves somehow, or we’ll feel disappointed in ourselves.

The feeling of loss we experience when giving up something we find pleasurable or emotionally gratifying in some manner, or that fulfills a need of some kind, in pursuit of something we feel is even more desirable or beneficial, can set into motion a form of internal conflict and constant negotiation that produces an experience of suffering in regards to our choices. It creates a kind of catch twenty-two as a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” type scenario. This is why “will” is an inherent part of choice as the necessary means for actualizing it and bringing about the desired change by exercising our ability to consciously self-create in a deliberate and purposeful manner.

What we tend to experience is that the minute we decide to give something up that we find pleasurable and have established a habit around, we feel an immediate sense of loss, and experience an intensified and heightened desire for it. We crave it and develop a hankering for it. As we abstain from it, our desire for it seems to become even more pronounced and stronger. Not because it actually is, but because we’re going through change as a withdrawal where we’re very aware of the absence and we miss it and have a longing for it. Because we miss it we have a heightened awareness around it, and think about it in a compulsory manner.

This craving as missing what we’re giving up is the most basic form of temptation that begins a greater process. Once we make it past the initial thrust of exercising sheer willpower and we get a few days into it, we feel we have a handle on it, we become more relaxed in regards to it, and another form of temptation comes into play. This is the coercive, gently seductive part of us that starts talking to us in a way that totally makes sense and makes it okay to relapse, give up our desire to change, and go back to business as usual. This voice plays on our weakness, portraying it in a way that makes it seem like we’re not giving in, just deciding we can do it while still pursuing our other goal in spite of it. We tell ourselves we can somehow manage or control it or not let it affect us. This aspect of us is very persuasive and convinces us to go back to our old ways and forfeit the idea of changing.

This kind of abstinence brings a sense of suffering, internal conflict and emotional anguish, as well as a form of constant emotional negotiation where we begin arguing with ourselves as one aspect outright manipulating and trying to gain power over another aspect. We always have multiple aspects of ourselves that look at everything from different perspectives, with different attitudes, ideas, and motives. In purely psychological terms these are called archetypes or sub-personalities, but we can also think of them as different aspects of our own personality as being of a “multiple” nature and therefore exist in a primary state of constant inner turmoil that’s often arbitrary and capricious.

We are not singular beings with a concentrated focus, but rather composed of a dynamic multifaceted nature that often exists in a primary state of opposing itself. We also have subconscious tendencies, which are emotionally motivated and experientially driven that often directly oppose our rational and objective thinking. The subconscious mind is the part of us that’s ritualistic, habitual, and automated in nature and forms habits around emotionally gratifying activities, then defends the right to preserve those activities. Anytime the subconscious mind is in conflict with the self-conscious, thought-oriented mind of objective reasoning, it nearly always wins out because it uses emotions as the means to seduce, coax, and manipulate the rational mind. Emotions, when left unguarded and allowed to play out without containment, tend to completely run our thought and engage us in compulsive urges and pleasure driven behaviors that have no regard or concern for consequences. This is what we call the lower, animal mind that’s instinctively driven through compulsive sensuous urges and thoughtless behaviors.

When we make a decision to change somehow, our path divides as a kind of fragmentation and sets into motion the need to debate the validity of our choice based on a sense of loss. Whatever we give up, we miss, even if we realize it was bad for us. As we miss it we form an intense longing for it by only thinking about what was good about it, forgetting all the bad. A form of seductive enticement takes place within our own mind. We literally battle with ourselves, first weakening ourselves through thoughts of desire and enhanced sensory imagination that amplifies and concentrates the feelings of pleasure around the activity of it, then struggle with a form of mental anguish at being strong enough to resist it.

This whole process takes place because we haven’t learned how to operate our own mind in terms of realizing how we form an internal representation of ideas that make them either compelling or repulsive. Anytime we’re talking about the “will”, we’re referring to the imagination. It’s through the imagination that we work directly on our own subconscious mind, which doesn’t “think” in terms of verbal thoughts, but rather takes verbal thoughts and turns them into sensory realities in the imagination that invoke a strong emotional component that either make them pleasurable and compelling, or painful and repulsive. Pleasure and pain are the motivating forces of our lower nature as a form of primal drive. Subconsciously we’re always moving towards pleasure and away from pain.

To “will something” is to create the reality of it in the imagination “as if” it’s already happening, creating an experience of it that’s very desirable and has positive emotions associated with it. The language of the subconscious mind is “strong sensory experiences” that elicit an equally strong emotional response. Emotions are the language of the material plane and come as a natural response to our thoughts and experiences. We have to make whatever it is we want to create (our choice) very appealing in sensory terms, while making what we want to quit doing very disgusting and repulsive in sensory terms. Ideas as a sensory reality that mimics an actual experience invokes emotions that not only become the formative motivating factor, but also act to connect us to that same idea all around us. Emotion is the language as a frequency of the material plane and runs in currents that are being transmitted and received all the time. Whatever our emotional state, we’re engaged in the reality of that state and act as a magnet for its fulfillment by organizing and interacting with that same emotion in everyone and everything around us.

One of the primary functions of the imagination is to form “internal representations” of thought as ideas that we use in place of the actual reality of it. When we think about an activity as an experience, we make it either compelling or repulsive based on “how we think about it” it terms of what we associate with it and use to give it meaning. When we associate positive ideas and feeling with it, we create a very pleasurable, joyful, and fulfilling experience of it. Likewise, when we associate negative ideas with it, we make it painful, ugly, and disgusting somehow. This internal representation as an imagined experience of it provides us with a preview that either makes it tempting and hard to resist, or uninteresting and easy to forget. In order to make an idea compelling we have to infuse it with very pleasurable and desirable associations, while making the idea we’re moving away from seem disgusting, repulsive or awful somehow.

If we pay close attention, we’ll further realize that the internal images or scenarios we form in our imagination of the idea has certain sensory attributes and qualities that work at the purely subconscious level to make it seem either distant and dissociated or up-close and intensely real. These sensory features are called sub-modalities and are the method we use to further develop how we represent an idea to ourselves. Anything that we watch and run through our mind’s eye that seems small, off in the distance, and either black and white or monotone in color, lacks intensity and isn’t provocative. It seems far off and unattainable, more like a distant memory that produces very little emotional impact. However when we form images and imagined scenario’s that seem up-close, in vivid color, and intense where we see, hear, feel, smell, touch, and are talking to ourselves about the experience we’re having in very positive terms, they become immediate and act to produce very compelling emotions.

Likewise, whatever we associate an idea with not only shapes the meaning it has but how we “feel about it” when thinking of it. As a general rule the mind is always in the process of forming a chain-of-association that links ideas together as a way of making them mean something and classifying them accordingly. Whatever ideas we associate with an idea shapes that idea in terms of what it means, and them meaning it has shapes how we experience it and what it means about us in relationship with it. We develop ideas to give them meaning by how they exist in relationship with other ideas of a similar nature. When we make positive associations it intensifies the love and desire for the idea, whereas when we associate very negative and disgusting ideas with it, it makes it very repulsive and we form a kind of disdain for it. In whatever way we shape the idea in our mind as an experience that’s associated to other ideas of the same nature, that makes them either desirable or repulsive, shapes our tendency towards or away from them simultaneously.

By learning how to work with our own imagination to form an internal representation of an idea that we use to let go of ideas or break habitual tendencies, or move towards more beneficial ideas with a sense of eagerness and enthusiasm is the secret to using your will to transform habits and behaviors that we’ve outgrown or realize are not in the best interest of our growth and development. When we make a decision to quit one thing and begin doing something new, and we use our “will” to actualize the reality of our choice, doesn’t mean to suffer and struggle through the agony of constant temptation to eventually tire, relapse and give up, but comes rather as our ability to change how we’ve polarized an idea to move it from a desirable to an undesirable state, while transferring the feeling of desire from the old idea onto the new idea. By taking what we once deemed pleasurable and rendering it painful by how we re-present the idea to ourselves internally by “remaking the experience”, makes it easy to resist. As we form our new idea with intense sensory details, positive and compelling emotions, and associate it with ideas whose meaning makes us feel the way we want to feel, we naturally move towards them with a sense of love, devotion, and excitement. It’s all about how an experience makes us feel and what it means about us as we engage in it.

All ideas as realities or potential for creating realities through choice and will, exist in a polarized state as complementary opposites that are extremes of the same idea and form a range or scale between them as degrees of the same thing. All change in the ultimate sense comes as a change in degrees of the same thing, rather than a change in kind. Whenever we “quit” one thing in favor of another, it usually comes as moving from the negative aspect of the idea to what we could think of as the positive aspect. We don’t ever really quit habits, but rather transform them into new habits that are more desirable in terms of their benefits. Whenever we decide to change a behavior, we have to decide what behavior we’re going to replace it with or what we’re going to do instead. If we leave an empty void by deciding to quit something without replacing it, we’ll tend to draw something else in unconsciously and simply begin doing something else that’s not thought out and deliberate. So the minute we decide what we’re no longer going to be, we have to immediately decide what we’re going to be instead, and make a transition from one mindset to another.

Association also has another component in behavioral changes and that comes through the process of “anchoring” an idea as a means of designing a natural “trigger” for it as an activating mechanism. We form a series of associations to an idea that act as the means of activating a whole behavioral pattern as a kind of memory. Throughout our daily life, as we go about our normal activities, we are constantly forming an association in the present with memories of the past as a way of being able to assign “instant meaning” to things as our natural perception of them. Certain behaviors, characteristics, words, tone of voice, touching us somewhere on our body, smells, and so on, act as triggering mechanisms that cause us to reference old memories and bring them forward into the present, associating the present with the past as a form of “this means the same thing as that”, and we subconsciously play out the same pattern as a set of automated behaviors. By realizing this, we can either associate the new behavior to the same thing that served as a trigger for the old behavior, or we can create a new one that we use intentionally to instantly change our state and “activate the pattern” we’re replacing it with. In this way, the old behaviors are no longer capable of being activated in us unconsciously by the same triggers.

Once we realize how to use our imagination to transform old ideas and form new enticing and compelling ones, we realize that we’re no longer “tempted” by the old, and have no trouble whatsoever refraining from it. Just the fact that we’re still tempted by an idea shows us that we either haven’t really made a true decision against it and for something else, and we’re still therefore debating it, or we haven’t used our mind in the appropriate way to change how we perceive, present, and relate to the idea. The decision to quit one thing in favor of another comes through realizations that we form around what we’re doing and the results it produces as natural consequences to our actions. Once we make a decision towards something new that facilitates our growth in a positive manner, and we “willfully bring that choice into fruition”, means to use the natural power of our imagination to re-orientate ourselves in relation to both, what we’re letting pass away, and what we’re creating in its place. Anytime we use our will as our imagination in this manner, change becomes easy and natural and undertaken with a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation, and temptation of the old doesn’t even exist as a part of our experience. We simply forget about the old and move fully into the new filled with a sense of anticipation and awe at our own ability to create our reality and become self-determined as a result.

Self-Purification and Cultivating Our Higher Nature

As we go through life, we’re always “becoming” through a process of amalgamation, where we enter into relationship with everyone and everything around us, blending with them energetically, taking on their compatible attributes and transforming our nature by using them to express and create experiences that we then relate to and identify with. As we blend with others energetically, we take on the same qualities they have as a way of being that ultimately serves to shape our character based on how we express them. All relationships are energetic interactions of the mind and soul where we absorb and integrate whatever is of a similar nature to us, while ignoring and deflecting what’s not of the same nature. As we blend with “like” (polarized) qualities in another, we become “like them” and they become like us. We absorb complementary qualities through resonance and sympathetic induction where we take on their vibration and it acts to modify ours in a corresponding manner. The more we actively express certain qualities, the more natural they become to us, and they serve to gradually modify our vibration as we begin vibrating in harmony with them. Whatever we’re routinely exposed to, live in near proximity of, and readily take in without discrimination, we absorb into our subconscious mind where we build it into a well-defined reality in our imagination by continuing to think about it, and begin using it as the means for experiencing ourselves.

Whatever we willingly allow, participate in, and cooperate with, we become like. We utilize our will through our ability to choose by relating or contrasting, gaining an awareness of how we feel in relation to others or situations, where we either agree and step into it willingly, or we resist, decline, and move away from it.  When we develop an awareness of consciousness as qualities that form characteristics as “ways of being”, we can become aware of how we’re always choosing our methods of self-development through the relationships we maintain and who we associate with on a regular basis. Through self-awareness we can learn how to manage ourselves using our will and the ability to choose. By making decisions that we implement in a willful manner, we determine what we allow in and what we don’t. We can consciously choose what we willingly absorb and become like in nature, and what we resist and therefore prevent from entering into us, and becoming a part of us.

Whenever we enter into a relationship with someone or something (person, situation, activity, set of circumstances) we should maintain a subtle awareness of how we’re either contrasting or relating, and how we’re feeling as a result of the interaction. We should always be asking ourselves “what is the consciousness I’m experiencing, and in what way is it influencing me”? If I take on the same consciousness and allow it to express through me, who and how will I become? As I form a sense of myself “being this way” (embodying that way of being) how does it feel? As I sense myself this way, how do I feel about myself?

We all have what we call “shadow aspects” that are qualities that we inherently possess that we deny having, have repressed in some manner because we were made to feel bad about them or couldn’t find appropriate expression for them, or that we built an illusion around by telling ourselves a story about it that makes it seem different from what it actually is. Like all unconscious tendencies, we’re always projecting them outward and using them to shape our outer environment as our mind’s way of allowing us to “see what they are”, and we not only notice and react to them in others, but we gravitate towards them and naturally enter into in relationship with them. Just as we attract to people and situations that we enjoy and find gratifying, we’re also attract to and towards the type of people and things we despise, are irritated by, and find repulsive for some reason. A “reaction” of any kind to something outside of us, good or bad, is happening because we have that same quality within us as a hidden aspect that we remain primarily unaware of and deny the fact that we have the same quality. All qualities are polar or dual in nature (electromagnetic), and serve as complementary aspects needed to create a joint experience of the shared quality as an interaction. We’re always attracted to those who play the opposite role in the same dynamic.

We create out of the dynamics of our conditioning to either be the same or be the opposite. Either way, the relationship as contrasting and relating to the same pattern as a dynamic theme, forms the outward expression of chosen aspects and the inward, hidden life of the ones that are not consciously chosen, but repressed and held inside instead. The ones we rebel and retaliate against as a way of shaping ourselves, becomes disowned aspects that we deny having, even though we have shaped ourselves in relationship with them, and we continue to attract and end up in relationship with our shadow aspects as a way of maintaining our “sense of self” by continuing to contrast and retaliate against them. Whatever dynamic we’ve shaped ourselves out of as a relationship and way of interacting, we maintain, because without it, we don’t know who we are or how to “be”. We need to be in relationship with the same type of people in order to play out the dynamic we’ve built our identity around.

This type of energetic, subconscious interaction is going on at the unconscious level all the time where we’re doing it naturally and automatically without actual awareness of what we’re doing and why. When we become aware of and realize the reality of it, we then have a choice as to whether or not we need to keep acting it out by allowing or resisting it, while intentionally choosing how we’re going to be instead. As long as we are still getting our “identity from others”, and we feel the need for others to show us who we are, we maintain relationships that are of the same nature that we were conditioned with.

Once we become aware of our own unconscious tendencies, and begin sensing our energetic nature as consciousness itself, we can get a sense of who we really are in terms of our true nature, and begin drawing on our inner power as a means of creating ourselves in our everyday life. We move from an “other” orientation to a “self” orientation. As we sense ourselves in every situation we begin realizing that we always have a choice as to whether or not we’re going to remain unconscious and unaware in our life, and be determined by others, or if we’re going to choose instead to remain awake, aware and able in every moment to choose who and how we’re going to be. At first, this may require a willful effort, but once our center of gravity changes, our whole mind-set changes, and we simply lose interest in things that use to grip us. We no longer react or feel chemistry of some kind with the same type of people and situations. And we simply lose interest and leave those relationships.

When we become awake and conscious, we realize we’re always filtering ideas through our true nature, and deciding which ones we blend with, allow into our mind, and allow to take hold by thinking about them and forming them into internal realities, which become the templates and pathways for our outer expression. As we express these same qualities outwardly by becoming a channel for them, we sense ourselves “as them”, experience ourselves in that way, becoming associated with it by forming a memory of it, and it becomes a permanent part of us. We build our identity out of the accumulated experiences we have based on the qualities that make up our character that we consistently use to self-express and self-create.

Whatever we subject ourselves to, enter into and maintain relationships with, or associate with on a regular basis, we allow to influence us by absorbing and integrating their consciousness which acts to transform and evolve us to be of the same nature. We become like whatever we’re around and interact with. Transformation in the most basic sense is evolution by absorbing (resonating), assimilating (harmonizing) and becoming like our outer environment. We’re always forming equilibrium with our environment as a harmonious balance between the inner self and the outer world. We’re not fixed static beings, we’re constantly in the process of exchanging, absorbing, integrating, and discharging energy with everything around us, as a natural bio-evolutionary process.

To purify ourselves is to not only use dietary means as both nutritive substance and morality, but also to purify our intentions, emotions, and psychological states as well. It’s becoming aware of how we’re being infected, contaminated, and corrupted with the consciousness of everything we willingly engage in and choose to do, what we end up around, or what we intentionally place ourselves in. Once we become constantly aware of how we’re being influenced in any given situation, and we learn how to “sense it” as a “way of being and thinking”, we can begin using our creative power of choice and will in an intentional manner. We can begin censoring what we allow to take hold in us, and what we don’t, who and what we associate with, and who and what we don’t. Through the awareness of the energetic nature of things as qualities of consciousness that we’re always interacting with and absorbing into our mind and taking on, we can consciously choose and willfully become self-determined and truly responsible for who we are. We can learn how to intentionally regulate and direct our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We can decide what to willingly participate in and cooperate in co-creating, and learn how to pick and choose who and what we associate with and what activities we engage in.

Entertainment – The Passive and Receptive Mind

Our mind operates according to different modes of passive and receptive, and active and projective, as the natural activity of the subconscious and self-conscious mind. The self-conscious, “aware” aspect has the ability to censor, judge, evaluate and filter all outward incoming information, and decide what to let in or resist and keep out. Whenever we’re actively being challenged, we’re in an active and projective mind where we evaluate and interpret everything and exercise our ability to resist it. Whenever we switch over to a mode of being entertained, where we’re not being challenged in any way and don’t need to defend, we enter into a passive and receptive mode, where we allow ideas and sensory realities to come into our mind, take hold and form a whole inner sensory reality that ultimately becomes a form of memory. Long after we’ve seen a movie that elicited a strong emotional impact, we continue to think about it periodically for years, maybe even throughout our lifetime. Similar ideas in our everyday environment cause a chain-of-association and we recall parts of the movie just like a memory. It literally becomes a “part of us” as part of our thinking and remembering. As we think and imagine we become by way of those thoughts, and they literally act to shape us at the purely unconscious level. They become a natural part of our subconscious memories just like real experiences do.

Whatever we form as a memory, as a reality that’s a part of our energetic make-up as our vibratory frequency, we not only perceive in our environment, but we act it out unconsciously by expressing it outwardly, creating our self by way of it. Whatever we form internally as an imagined reality (reviewing as a memory), becomes the perceptual lens we look through to see and interact with the same consciousness as an idea in the world around us, and we form a kind of gravitational field that connects us to by resonating with it. Whatever we think about and imagine repeatedly, we “tune” ourselves to that vibration and begin resonating with it outwardly. We begin stimulating it, interacting with it, and absorbing it, and through a repetitive accumulative process we steadily transform ourselves to be like it. As we think and imagine, we relate and “sense ourselves” through the reality of our thoughts, and we begin identifying with them. We typically identify with certain types of ideas, stories, themes, characters, personalities, issues and challenges, and so we always like “those type of movies” or “that type of character”. And by relating to them, and unconsciously initiating them, we shape ourselves to be “like them”.

Purifying Ourselves

To purify ourselves as a conscious and intentional act, is to become aware of this energetic process, gain a firm idea of who we really are and how we want to be, and intentionally select what we engage in, expose ourselves to, associate with, and what type of relationships we form and maintain between the outer and inner. Between our self and our self in another. We form an ideal of ourselves as the embodiment of our best qualities and character traits, and we intentionally and deliberately direct all our activities towards that means. We choose what movies we watch, what stories and dramas we participate in, what relationships we form and maintain, what activities we take up, and what situations we place ourselves in. We choose our diet and lifestyle, not only in physical and material forms, but in mental, emotional, and moral terms.

Soul as Morality

Our subconscious mind is primarily concerned with the body and its survival in the outer world by constantly evolving to become of the same nature, has a primary motive of self-preservation, and acts to maintain habitual behaviors that are emotionally driven and compulsive in nature. The self-conscious mind is focused primarily on others and the activities of the outer world, while interpreting everything through stories of some kind, and constantly preoccupied with redundant thoughts that replay memories and imaginary ideas of some sort. The soul is concerned almost exclusively with our moral nature and what type of things we engage in from a purely ethical perspective of higher (virtuous) and lower (vices) consciousness as principles that we live our life by forming what you could think of as our biography. Our morality is “who we are as a person” and what we stand for in terms of what we demonstrate through our thoughts, emotions, and activities. Whatever we engage and participate in, we become like and bond ourselves to that level of consciousness. We “classify ourselves”, so to speak, through our actions. To be is to do. Whatever we’re being inside determines what we do outside.

The soul isn’t concerned with the body or it destiny, because the body is temporary and only acts as a vehicle or instrument for the soul to express through and self-create by way of. The self-conscious, brain-oriented mind that arises in the body as the soul’s awareness of itself “as” the body, is the identity acquired by way of the body that allows the soul to “experience itself” in a specific way. The experience acquired through the body forms our identity, often called the ego, is mortal in nature and “dies” with the brain and body. The soul is that part of us that’s always in a “witnessing position”. That part of us that’s “in the experience”, having it, yet remains apart from it while observing it both inwardly and outwardly at the same time. The soul maintains a form of fundamental detachment from the body and its life experiences in the sense that while it fully engages in the experiences as a means of gaining an experience of itself in some way, it never mistakes itself for being the body or a mortal being. It realizes that it has full control over both the mind and the body, and, when awake and self-aware, exercises that ability in an intentional and deliberate manner. When the soul remains asleep, the body as the unconscious, unaware aspect that’s always being controlled by it’s instinctual nature and forces outside of itself, and as a means of seeking physical gratification of some kind, runs, and therefore determines the soul through the memories it produces.

The soul’s purpose in living is to become the dominant force within the body, guiding and directing the feelings, thoughts, and activities towards a higher means that consistently moves away from self-indulgence and need-gratification of any form, and towards assuming it’s universal identity acting as a “neutral force for good” in any situation that serves the “highest good” for everyone involved. It’s not self-oriented and driven by needs and desires, but rather selfless with a servant attitude. Because it lacks desire of the things of the material world, it’s free of them, and not held in captivity by them. Because it’s free of self-serving agendas, it’s only intention in any situation is to act as a mediator that facilitates and influences it to the highest and most beneficial means that serves the karma of everyone involved. It doesn’t impose itself on others, or act to coerce and manipulate, because it doesn’t derive its identity through the material world or the body it inhabits, but rather as a benevolent being of a divine and virtuous nature. It seeks not for itself, but only to give. It draws all its power from an internal, eternal source.

To purify the soul, is to allow it to dominate and utilize both the conscious and subconscious mind to create experiences of itself that are completely detached from material needs and identification. It’s to intentionally develop yourself to a virtuous nature that’s capable of drawing in and integrating higher intelligence. It’s to release your needs around material identification, and turn your full awareness within, drawing only on your internal source for power in the outer world. Connecting and developing a strong bond and flow of communication with your Higher Self that’s always held in loving regard with absolute trust. It’s to always act on yourself with that same benevolent mind-set, always loving and caring for yourself as you do others. It’s the act of cultivating yourself to be a channel for divine energy to flow into the world unimpeded, without corruption, and pure in form. By cultivating virtuous qualities, we heal our mind and emotions, strengthen and fortify our body, and become a catalyst for good in the world. This is the only true goal and purpose of the soul.

What is the “Mind?”

There’s a tendency to refer to what we call the mind as being equivalent to the brain, or the heart, or some invisible undefined term that encompasses them both. If we look at the mind through the concept of Spiritual Sciences and the Quantum model of Subtle energy, we can realize the mind as an energy field that exists in a hierarchical form as smaller, individual minds that accompany all conscious sentient beings while expanding in range and magnitude to larger mind-fields that can reach universal proportions. It’s a series of mind-fields that are nested within greater fields, which like holograms, while varying in size and magnitude, are all of the same nature and operate according to the same sets of creative Laws.

 

The mind of the individual is the energy field that surrounds and envelopes the body in an egg-like essence that we commonly call the aura or electromagnetic field that’s imbued with distinct attributes and qualities that determine how the mind functions at an individual level. It’s the essence as what we refer to as electrified plasma as resonance that informs and animates the body, imbuing it with analogous characteristics referred to as the personality, which becomes the foundation for the identity it takes on through various levels of story-telling birthed as a natural evolutionary growth process. It develops and “becomes” in stages that are the enactment and development of different inherent aspects of the same essence in a sequential manner that first establishes the foundation out of which a spontaneous growth process as actualization takes place of its own volition.

All of life operates as Laws that evolve through a consistent growth process of becoming fully actualized. This natural growth process is a form of unfolding in a hierarchical fashion, where one phase sets the basis out of which the next is indicated and spontaneously emerges in what seems like an effortless movement. The lower (initial) is the foundation for the higher. Just as our childhood development determines the type of adults we become. They are dependent on each other and operate independently of each other in an interdependent fashion. These planes of existence as hierarchies are referred to as kingdoms or worlds, whole planes nested within greater planes as a unified reality that are ecological. Different aspects that perform different functions yet are of the same entity as a whole interdependent system that expresses by generating a coherent reality.

 

While we can separate and analyze each aspect in order to understand the laws that govern their operation, we must always perceive it in synthesis as being a fundamental part of a holistic operation. Each part has a specialization that’s a crucial part of a whole function. It operates as parts or aspects within a greater mind, just as the individual mind operates as parts of the greater family/group mind, community mind, national/cultural mind, and ultimately universal mind.

So the mind as viewed from the perspective of Spiritual Sciences as Subtle energy, can be thought of as individual consciousness that is self-aware, self-expressing, and self-creating all at the same time. A single thought process or act creates in a ripple fashion of expanding and including greater mind-fields, which serves to reinterpret them according to the same mind which perceives them to be of the same nature and likeness in terms of projecting our qualities, characteristics, preferences and tendencies onto them, seeing (perceiving) in them only what matches (forms correspondences) us in terms of our paradigm or vibratory frequency.

 

Our mind is a conscious field of energy as our ‘self’ that’s also the perceptual lens we look through in order to perceive everything else. Qualities and characteristics in another that are of the same nature as ours, form resonance with us, causing a reaction of some sort that stimulates us inwardly. They stand out as what we notice, give attention to, and reshape by thinking about them to form a perception of them that’s actually a correspondence to us. The creative ability of the mind is to regenerate itself as a basic means of expression. Perception itself is a form of interpretation that modifies everything as a vibrational match to ourselves in terms of perceiving them through our mental/emotional filters that conforms them to our dominant tendencies as thematic dynamics or prevalent and ongoing story-lines that we mold them into in a way that makes sense. The story we tell about them is the translation that reforms them to be like us in some way. We only see in others what first exists in us, in what is often a hidden or unknown aspect of ourselves.

Just as the Universal mind exists in a multitude of fragmentation’s as fractal patterns that are smaller minds of the same nature, our own mind exist in three basic aspects that have specialized functions known as the higher-self, the subconscious and conscious mind. The Higher-self is the greater mind-field which transcends into higher-dimensions of pure consciousness, while the subconscious is the body/instinctual (heart) consciousness, and the conscious mind is the brain/sensory consciousness. The Higher-self is what we commonly call the spirit-soul, the subconscious our basic personality, and the brain the creative function that forms self-awareness through it’s identity with the external world that ultimately births the ego as a result, which is the aspect of our identity that’s based on the physical realm of possessions and position, that are ultimately false in nature because they are dependent on external means in order to create a image of itself in relationship with it that are temporary and illusory in nature. All aspects of the mind form a step-down process of conscious energy creating experiences of itself in the physical realm. It’s our inner nature that forms our personality that automatically expresses through our behavior, while the conscious mind creates illusions of itself that often tell a different story from the one that they naturally demonstrate through automatic behavior that they are seemingly unaware of, and therefore assume others are fooled by the same false image that they have created as a means of re-representing themselves to be what they wish they were, instead of what they actually are. They then make the basic assumption that others perceive their false image as well, when in reality, others are only seeing what matches their paradigm as their perceptual lens or the actual behavior a person demonstrates on an ongoing basis.

Likewise, each vital organ within the body generates an electromagnetic field that has its own level of consciousness and associated functions, which operate as a part of a greater whole. Every single entity pairs off in dual aspects that mimic the electro-magnetic effect of mitosis as regeneration that multiplies in pairs of itself. The mind operates according to the same natural laws that govern all living systems. Duality and multiplicity is the fundamental nature of unity. Just as the body is comprised of billions of cells that all contain the same DNA for structuring and functions, that begin as one then divide and multiply in pairs, while migrating to different locations playing out different roles within the same body which operates as a greater single entity that’s an enclosed system.

 

Our primary consciousness doesn’t perceive the individual cells that make up our body, but only perceives itself as a whole body with a personality and identity that always perceives the world in terms of stories that play out in its mind and imagination and the feeling sensations that stimulate it from within as bodily sensations that form corresponding thoughts and emotions as a result. There’s a constant chain-reaction as a chain-of-association going on all the time, all prompted by an electrical impulse of some sort that comes from invisible forces that surround and interact with us on a constant and ongoing basis. Which ones influence us in lesser or greater proportions are based on the quality of consciousness which forms an equivalent as a vibratory frequency that not only tunes us into the thoughts and emotions prevalent on that plane that are of the same nature, but also determine what we form resonance with as the fundamental component for forming thematic realities that are of a congruent nature. Our energetic frequency as our mind-field determines what we notice in the objective outer world, where we place our attention, and how we reinterpret it as a means of using it as the basic components for telling the same type of stories that we always tell about others and the external world as an expression of our selves.

Reality in itself as objective, is a perception and projection of the larger Universal mind (original creation), while our subjective reality is a personal creation of our own making that creates our ‘self’ as an expression of ourselves. All perception is ultimately a form of fundamental projection that restructures it through vibratory resonance that shapes it into a new pattern as a variation that’s a co-creation of us, the individual mind, with the greater, universal mind, forming a unified realty that’s unique to us as created by us. The Universal as absolute remains the same and is neutral in nature, allowing us the ability to co-create a separate reality by how we infuse it with meaning of some sort that shapes it into a story of some kind. That story is our signature and is always composed as a reflection of our inherent style. It always has the same theme and style of story-telling, not only in terms of the story itself, but also in terms of ‘how’ we tell it.

The 4 Elements – The Etheric Body and the Nature of Memory

 

While there are many ways to look at what’s referred to as the 4 Elements, which represent the material realm, one of it’s most primary interpretations is as the very substance of what we think of as the material world as the experience produced by the mind that becomes the basis for memory. Memory, which comes from a reality, has the full building blocks or interactive components of an actual reality even when it exists in it potential or unformed state. The information it’s comprised of and the active force that brings it to life, are the basic “seed” necessary to produce a living reality. A seed as a series of encoded information contains strands of DNA that provide the material as a regenerative process and the spatial blueprints for creating a living form.

The 4 Elements as we’ve come to know them represent Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. These seemingly 4 components only signify 2 actual Elements of Fire and Water, which combined produces Air, and Earth represents the whole combination as a physical reality. In its original depiction, Water and Earth were considered one element, representing three Elements of the Triad or Triangle as the symbol of the 3 aspects of the mind that create an internal reality as the combination of Fire and Water, that was then reflected to produce the outward reality, symbolized by the number 4, or the Tetrad. Fire and Water are symbolic of the masculine and feminine polar aspects of Spirit as a unification. Spirit is traditionally represented as Air or breath. All of Life as we know it is comprised of the 2 Elements of “Yin and Yang”, and the 2 correspondences they form as their offspring which is the combination of them to produce material form.4 elementThe 4 Elements also form the Tetragrammaton, as the sacred name of God, commonly spelled “YHVH”, or YOD-HE-VAU-HE, where Yod represents Fire or Will, He represents Air as intellect, Vau represents Water as Feeling, and the second He represents Earth as the manifestation of will. This spelling, where only two letters are different or unique, though similar in structure to each other (Y V), and two are repeats (H H), is significant of the idea that only 2 true Elements exist as the single or unified constitution of the One- Spirit, and the other two are correspondences as the inner and outer reflection. These can also be seen as representing idea, thought, feeling, and action, which are always unified and create an experience of reality, both internally and externally. They are also always comprised to form a memory which either comes as the result of the manifested idea as the end result, or as the basis used for creating the outer experience as a material reality. Memory is both the beginning and the end, the creator, the outer experience as an event, and the one having the experience. We create our present experiences out of the accumulation of our past experiences as memory. Everything we learn, we acquire as a memory either as an imagined concept of an idea that forms it into an inner reality as a memory, or as an actual experience that contained a lesson and came about by experimenting. Notice that experiment and experience are almost the same word.

When we contemplate an idea and begin thinking about it, we form it into an internal conceptualization as an actual experience of the idea as a reality, or we form an internal representation as a metaphor that serves as a symbolic correspondence. Both of these are formed in our mind in much the same way we construct an actual memory, or replay it as a way of reliving it. There’s no actual difference between a memory created in the imagination of an idea, or one created through an actual event, outside of the fact that the actual event had significantly intense feelings and emotions associated with them. The only memories we attain in a detailed manner from our life experiences, are ones that had a significant emotional impact. The emotion is what forms the structure of the memory in terms of how we interpret it to form a story that we tell ourselves about why it happened and what it means.

Memories are formed out of a combination of feeling sensations, emotions, and thoughts that produced distinct actions based on them. The memory, which is in reality a personalized interpretation of an outer neutral event, is activated by the emotion associated with it, or the same sensory content, that then activates the behavioral pattern of the memory, setting into motion a whole automatic pattern that repeats the past in the present, creating more of the same type of memories. This is why 5, as the pentagram or Pentad, symbolic of the etheric Element as “mind over matter”, operates by the principle of “regeneration”, further symbolized by the Fibonacci Sequence of reproduction in which the most recent past brought into the present produces the future, and the holographic affect also called fractal patterns, where the mind simply reproduces more patterns that are of the same nature (memory) as it is.

A memory can be thought of as a state of mind or vibration that contains the pattern as a blueprint for producing a reality in a completely unconscious and automatic fashion. How we create our experiences is based on our state of mind or our soul mood. Memories are living thought-forms shaped by the mind out of the Elements that are viewed and replayed – kept alive – in the imagination as the invisible patterns we picture in our mind over top of actual reality as an invisible or translucent story that we use to restructure our current reality to be of the same nature. We use memory to make our current situation mean the same thing as our past situation did.

This reality that we form in our imagination is shaped out of the Elements as the etheric substance, or Astral Light. Just as light in the material world is actually invisible and only illuminates the atmosphere because it’s being both absorbed and reflected by dust and water particles in the air, is used inwardly by the mind of the individual to form an internal reality, even though it has the “feeling” of an actual visible picture, it’s translucent and invisible and can be viewed by superimposing it over or in front of the outer reality as our perceptual lens that we look through that determines what we see (that matches it and is being absorbed) and what we don’t see (what’s not a part of the same idea and is being reflected. Ideas exist in us in exactly the same way actual memories do, and can be used by the mind to form internal realities by picturing, sensationalizing, and thinking about them.

A thought is an active memory. While thoughts seem to be generated by the mind, they’re actually “tuned into and received” out of the invisible space around us, which is actually light intermingling with water and matter. The light of the material world that’s basically invisible in the physical world, comes from a star (our sun), and is therefore called “Astral Light”. Stars are the only living entities that are a true source of light. Everything else gets its material existence as matter, which is also light as photons, in its condensed form, by either absorbing or reflecting certain aspects or rays of light, which appears to us as colors or solid objects. This Astral Light that forms the Etheric body of all living forms, exists in four primary states as a gradient condensation as; electrified plasma (same substance as stars), gas, liquid, and solid. It’s used by the mind as a gas that behaves like a liquid, and can be shaped instantly into form by thinking. The power of the spoken Word (vibration), spoken both in silence to ourselves as thoughts, and outwardly as talking, comes through it’s ability to form images out of the words as the shapes they represent. As our mind thinks about something, it creates a reality out of it. The inner realities become the basis for outer realities of the same nature. As we think, we become. All of our experiences are our sole creation, produced by how we use our mind to perceive, interpret and tell ourselves a story about things. We shape, grow, and develop ourselves by way of our own story-telling and thought-forms.

pentagramThe 5th Element, represented by the Star or Pentad, represents the quintessence as the Ether body produced by how the mind shapes the 4 Elements into imagined and therefore “willed” realities. The Etheric body exists as a form of memory, or etheric substance that’s an (invisible) double or twin to the material body. The masculine (active and invisible) and feminine (passive and visible) aspects inherent in any physical body as the unification of dual yet complementary opposites. The etheric body forms the memory of the body, evolved by the soul through thinking, emoting, and imagining. The soul is the Astral Body, represented by 6, as another “star” image. The Astral Body is similar to the Air Element, and is the correspondence produced by the combination of Spirit as archetypal memory, and the body as individual memory, or Fire and Water. The soul is composed of accumulated memory acquired by combining archetypal memory to produce a variation as personal memory. As it acquires experiences from the body, it transposes them into personalized memory as the essence of the body, and absorbs and synthesizes it, evolving itself through the memory it attains.

The soul is the medium or intermediary between the Mental or Causal body and the physical – etheric body. Between pure spirit as unadulterated memory and its denser aspect as coagulated, specialized, and concentrated light as matter. Spirit exists in pure essence as archetypes and principles that are drawn on by the soul to bring into the body as a modified interpretation to create a specific experience by way of it. When the universal idea comes into physical expression, it has to come as an introduction of thought as suggestion into the individual form that’s a specialized combination of both physical-genetic and soul memory, that modifies it to fit the container of the individual mind necessary in order to conceive it, where it’s turned into a personalized version of the original. A thought or idea is drawn into the individual soul as a seeded reality that the soul-mind grows and shapes into a possible reality by imagining it that provides the subconscious mind of the body with a pattern for creating a reality out of. Likewise, the human soul, which has the power to create through thinking, feeling, and imagining as the will, creates thought forms as imagined realities formed out of intense emotional states that it dwells in an thinks about over and over, developing it with more detail and variations each time it thinks about it, infusing them with the souls life-force, that creates a form of virtual memory that populates the Astral Plane of the Earth, as our atmosphere or instinctual field of the subconscious mind, and acts the same as universal memory and is “picked up on” by other humans in much the same way they attract and acquire archetypal thoughts and ideas.

This ability to create artificial memory as illusions born out of emotional states and fantasizing about them, is what’s referred to as the collective unconscious, or mass consciousness of the group mind. We can literally tune into and draw into our mind the thoughts of others around us, which come to us in the same way as any thought or memory, out of the clear blue, as a feeling we get or something we just start thinking about as a part of our continuous stream of thoughts. Most of the time we have no idea that we’re thinking someone else’s thoughts, because we only resonate – attract and act as a receiver for – those who have similar thoughts or are vibrating at a similar frequency. Because they’re similar to ours, we mistake them for our own, and often allow them to take hold in us by continuing to think about them. This is also the basis for telepathy and clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience, all of which come as transmissions in the Astral Plane.

So simply allow yourself to start recognizing the role memory plays as the very foundation for your thinking and imagining. As you think, observe yourself in terms of what it means to think. What is thought? What activities are you engaging in as you form thoughts as imagined concepts and scenarios? How is this similar or different from how you think about actual memories? Allow yourself to realize that all knowledge learned comes through memory of some form, whether simply imagined, memorized through repetition, imagined or conceptualized, or as an actual experience.

Allow yourself to notice that what you’re thinking about today is very similar if not exactly the same as what you thought about yesterday, last week, or last year. Notice, that all you’re ever really doing, for the most part, is thinking the same type of thoughts born out of the same attitude and temperament consistently throughout our lives, evolving and varying them only slightly through different applications of the same basic ideas. Notice, especially as you get older, that even though your outer circumstances may be quite different today than they were five years ago, that inside, as a person, your nature has remained consistent, and in some cases unchanged. That all we’re ever really doing is growing ourselves by expanding and acquiring new kinds of memory, that evolve us into new ways of thinking, perceiving, and experiencing ourselves and the world around us. That while we believe our thoughts and memories were acquired neutrally or objectively by the events of our life that happened to us beyond our control, and that we’re the “way we are” because of what happened to us along the way, the fact is our life is the way it is because it’s a direct reflection of how we think about it. That what we call our experiences and memories are actually our own creation, and are completely subjective in nature.

While we don’t control the outer events and circumstances of our life, especially as children, how we interpret them internally creating our experience of them, is something we do all by ourselves, to ourselves. It comes completely by how we use the elements to first create an internal experience as feelings, emotion, thoughts, and meaning that form a story about what happened, and why, that forms how we experience and remember it. Long after that events gone, and no longer exists as real, and we’ve grown more mature through years, we still live out of and replay in our mind the same basic group of memories, creating more of the same type of experiences, and living out of the same type of story which becomes a life theme. Stories we told ourselves as children, are still the realities we’re living out of as adults. We shaped our identity as our sense of self out of our own stories about things. We completely live and die by way of our own mind that thinks and feels through our body, producing our experience of reality.

All reality is a product of memory.

The Dual Nature of the Soul – The Material World Belongs to the Soul

We are so in tuned to our physical existence that it’s hard for us to form an idea about ourselves that’s outside or beyond our body. Many fail to recognize the fact that humans are composite beings, and unlike any other life form on Earth, has two souls which give us two distinctly different natures; a lower-animal nature, and a higher-divine nature. This is further complicated by the fact that many attribute the mind to being a product of the body (heart or brain), when in fact, it’s the other way around. The body is a product of the mind, just as all material reality is, and the mind is what provides the intelligence for it’s construction, and activates and regulates all the biological processes that make the body function, and is what holds it all together for a life-span of somewhere around eighty years or so. The mind is not associated to an organ of the body, but exists independent of the body, while permeating and enveloping the body in what we could call an etheric egg-shaped energy field. This energy field that surrounds and gives life to the body, is subtle and electromagnetic in nature, which means it functions according to the same universal laws as the biological world, and is always in the process of exchanging and integrating energy with everything else around it as a form of respiration and metabolic process.

 
The mind is synonymous with the soul. The lower-animal soul is the subconscious and self-conscious mind, or concrete mind, and the higher divine soul is of the higher-mind or superconscious. The soul is not a physical entity, but an energetic “state”. The soul doesn’t experience itself as “having a feeling”, but rather “is” the feeling itself. The soul has “pure experience” without sensory concepts or descriptions. It’s not a mind in a body, but the mind itself that inhabits a body. The mind is not the body experiencing “joy” as a mood or feeling, but is joy itself as a mental state. There’s no physical medium separating it from experience or that it needs in order to experience, but comes as a direct “inner” experience that maintains a connection to the outer world. The mind is our vibratory state as a quality of consciousness that produces our experiences as translated through the physical senses of the body.

vesicaWhatever state of mind we are vibrating at any given moment determines our mood, attitude, perception, and how we form all our experiences. It’s experience that’s direct as an internal “feeling” experience rather than “through” a body or medium, that alters and separates you from the experience itself. You “are the experience” rather than having the experience. Nothing separates or buffers you from the outer world. The mind, which is pure invisible energy as consciousness, blends into everything around it, becoming one with it in order to experience it directly “as it”. The subtle energy of the mind freely moves through and into matter of the physical realm and experiences itself within the material body it inhabits. It experiences itself as the physical body or object from within it, as an “inner” experience.

 
The physical body (matter) is the “middle man or avatar” for the higher human soul. Without the body, the soul is the same as pure experience, not associated to a body and able to travel freely within the outer reality which is contained “within” the soul. The soul itself is a field of consciousness held together as a stress-pattern or torsion field (axion or spin field) as an energetic state or vibratory frequency that gives it individual qualities. The mind is an invisible force in the material realm and in order to create or be in the material world, it has to enter into (resonate with), and bond with a physical body of some form, otherwise it remains unseen and unknowable. The body exists in relationship to the outer world of the senses, and is how the soul experiences itself “as” a physical being, or located within time and space. Because the human soul is not of the same sensory nature as the physical body, it can’t be experienced or perceived through the physical senses, which can’t penetrate deeply enough into the purely conscious realm to experience it as it is, without a sensory interpretation. Because the divine soul is different from the body, we often fail to recognize the true nature of our soul.

 
When the human soul is in the body, the internal experiences are very different than the external ones. While the soul is in the body, we feel the body belongs to us. Yet outside of the body (astral travel), we feel connected to and an inherent part of the greater reality around us, in the sense that there’s no boundary or sense of separation. Outside the body you experience yourself as an innate part of the outer environment, and no longer experience yourself as separate from it, or as an object within it. The inner soul becomes a part of the whole outer world, and experiences being apart of it just as we experience our head or hands as being apart of our body. We blend into and become interwoven with the outer world. The whole surrounding environment belongs to the soul, just as the hands and feet belong to the body. There’s no boundary between the inner and outer world, the effects of the sensory world pass perceptually through your being. You experience it as being the same as it. Everything is experienced from within it. There’s no thought process, judgment, or sensory interpretation of object and subject, but a direct experience of being it. This is the true nature of compassion (the language of the soul), which is taking on the natural internal perception of the soul and having the inner experience of another person or being you’re either observing or contemplating. By developing compassion towards or with other beings, we develop our soul’s perception, and experience the world in a unified manner from the center of our being. We experience another being’s life in the same way that they experience their life.

The surrounding environment of what we perceive as the outer world belongs to the soul and is a projection of the mind necessary in order to experience itself in the world. When we observe something, we direct our attention onto or into it, our mind penetrates and indirectly (subtlety) affects it. We’re always influencing and subtlety affecting everyone and everything around us through our very perception of it, which reformulates its active and passive components in response or interaction with our mental state. Subtle energy is a concentration (quality) expanded over a greater area and therefore diluted (in physical terms) that, while it doesn’t cause an intense or pronounced affect in the physical realm, it does produce a greater affect over and extended period of time in the energetic realm. We could get a good idea of the difference between physical energy and subtle energy by thinking of the physical as an emotional charge or high amplitude or strong dose, that causes a immediate and intense affect that’s short lived and dies down fairly quick, and the subtle energy as more of a mood or low frequency that can last for days, weeks, or even months, and while it seems lighter in its effect, it lasts for a far greater period of time. The soul is capable of experiencing outside of the physical body, because the outer environment, which is all connected to and a part of the subconscious mind or instinctual field, belongs to is an innate part of the soul. The greater mind, universal consciousness, or the collective unconscious is all a part of the planetary mind that governs all life on the planet, and is of the same nature (or kingdom) as the human soul. This field of energy, which is also called the astral plane of light or the morphogenetic field of archetypal memory is the domain of the soul. The soul is astral light as pure consciousness that creates memory out of acquired experiences that evolve it through various states and build up as an accumulative affect.

 
All reality as we know it exists in planes of interwoven dimensions as a hierarchy of consciousness, also referred to as “kingdoms”. Within our physical reality we have the mineral, plant, animal, and human kingdoms. Each level of life, contains the entire lower level within its being, is interdependent on it, and the entirety of the lower plane(s) forms the fundamental basis for the next plane of life to spontaneously and naturally arise out of it. Out of the mineral kingdom comes the plant kingdom, comprised of the very minerals themselves and dependent on them for life. Out of the plant kingdom comes the animal kingdom, whose body is formed out of the mineral and plant kingdom, and out of which the human kingdom emerges as the avatar body for the divine soul of mankind. The human soul takes on an animal body, which provides the vehicle for experiencing the material world “as a body or individual”, in order to consciously evolve it to a higher level of moral intelligence and biological functioning. The entirety of the lower planes forms the foundation necessary for the next plane to grow and develop out of or ny way of it. The higher plane therefore contains within its very nature and substance, the combination of all planes below it, which is necessary for it to emerge as a unique life form through a natural evolutionary growth process. Just as Universal Laws all emerge out of each other as a form of unfolding or growth process, where the Monad contains within it the full potential of the other laws that systematically issue forth from it. This hierarchical structure of one level of reality consisting of multiple dimensions all interwoven into one greater reality is consistent throughout all of life as we know it. The mind which is of “pure experience” within itself, needs the entire outer world in order to set the stage for experiencing itself in the world as a part of the world. It acquires experience by way of the whole reality and the memory of the collective unconscious, which governs the instinctual mind that all of nature share in common.

Memory, which is inherent in the instinctual mind as its basic programming out of which all experience and behaviors are created, propagates and acts to create more of the same type of memories through the experiences formed out of them. The human soul has the creative capacity to willfully create new experiences of itself (in a body) that are not the unconscious reproduction of the memories produced by the lower mind through its formative conditioning, but it can only do so when it quits identifying with the past experiences of the body, and realizes that what it perceives as the outer world is actually a part of or the projection of itself as the means of directing the elements of the natural world in order to create experiences of itself. Through specialized use of our mind, we change our focus, perspective, and perception of reality, and form a different relationship with it that begin telling a different kind of story.

 
Because the soul enters into the body and becomes one with it, it experiences itself as the body, and shapes its identity as a sense of self to be the same as the body. The higher mind enters into relationship with the lower, animal mind, which is prone to instinctual tendencies and easily conditioned to automatic behaviors provoked through strong emotions and desires of some kind, and the human soul mistakes itself for being the same as the lower mind, and is shaped by the lower mind. Because the body creates in an unconscious fashion through compulsive tendencies without recognizing natural law or the consequences of it actions, the soul experiencing itself as the body, becomes the “errors” as a direct experience of itself. It is the reality of consciousness of the error. It’s inside the animal body experiencing a false reality. Because of this, the human soul begins identifying with the body, and forgets its true nature and ability to create by directing the natural forces of the material world. This is the religious idea that we’re all “born into sin”, with sin meaning error. It’s not that we’re born “bad”, but rather rendered unconscious without realizing our creative ability and our true identity as divine in nature.

Because we fail to recognize the creative ability of our mind and live our life out of an unconscious state programmed by childhood memory as our formative conditioning, we fail to create at all in the real sense, often having no power in our own life, and become instead the product of our conditioning. In this sense the body, like the entire material world, belongs to the soul, and not the other way around. The soul has the ability to control and direct the body, but it has to first realize its true identity and power over the material realm. The soul needs to become aware of itself within the body, and begin actively and intentionally using its will to step outside of redundant conditioning and create itself with awareness by purifying the body to be an appropriate vehicle for acquiring certain type of experiences. Only by identifying with our true nature and learning to utilize the power of our mind to enter into and directly influence the elements that make up the material world, does the divine soul serve the purpose of evolving the consciousness of the lower animal-soul, instead of digressing or devolving itself by being controlled by its own lower nature.

 
The human soul is the higher mind, and exists as a “state-of-mind”, which forms a paradigm (pattern) as a vibratory frequency based on accumulated experiences that form its memory. How we use our mind, is our soul power as our ability to self-create and therefore develop the perceptual lens we look through to experience what we call the outer reality or life conditions and circumstances. We can only change our life experiences by changing our mind as our “inner state” or soul mood. By working with our ability to choose how we’re going to be and the will to direct our own behaviors and activities to turn our choices into reality as our experiences, we shift our center of power and begin using our soul to create in life. By changing the qualities that make up our character, we change our attitude and perception. When we begin working with our “being”, and develop ourselves from the inside out, we step into our true power to be self-determined. In order to create in our life, we have to work on changing ourselves so that we’re the channel through which that experience of reality is possible as a natural perception of the outer world. By learning to identify with our true spiritual nature as our mind which is pure consciousness, we begin developing our eternal aspect, which exists independently from the body and transcends the body (continues living) at the death of our physical body. All reality is formed out of our mind as a mental projection, perception and experience of it.

Life Crisis and the Nature of Personal Transformation

Many people turn away from or choose to not undergo the process of personal transformation required as soul growth through the means of birthing your higher-self through the use of choice and will within the everyday life of their normal consciousness. This is because it can be very disruptive and completely change the way you live your life, and “who” you are in the most essential sense. It takes a great deal of courage and mortal fortitude to brave and endure the process of the life you’ve built your identity around completely falling apart, crumbling beyond repair, and leaving your life, often giving you a painfully deepened sense of isolation and abandonment. While being completely alone in life can be one of the most painful experiences there are, leaving us constantly searching for meaning and purpose, being devastated financially, raped of your dignity, and outcast by those you once loved and thought loved you, brings about a new kind of pain that can bring you to the brink of total destruction. Because of this tendency to resist it at all costs and not being willing to consciously choose it, many who have made a soul agreement to undergo the transformative process where you enter it consciously and are aware of it, think about it, have premonitions of it coming, experience it instead as happening “to you” without choice or control. We often even initiate it through unconscious behaviors and emotional turmoil that are sabotaging and actually work to set the inevitable into motion. What we deem self-sabotaging behaviors may not be a bad thing, but actually a necessary part of our evolution where we unconsciously act out in situations we’re not happy in and often feel tormented by in the essential sense, even though they might appear quite fortunate and comfortable on the surface.

 
For those destined for complete transformation of the body and souls as a form of spiritual mission or dedication that comes as a turbulent inner struggle and decisions, chances are we undergo many forms of transformation as challenges and hardships that seem to be cast upon us without choice or desire, that we find the strength to manage in some way, that ends up growing and developing us, while perhaps drastically changing the direction of our life because of them, that seem to be preparing us through practice for the larger transformations that to come at a mature age where their effects are more drastic and prominent and the patterns of our life more set and fixed. Yet, even in these smaller, life-altering events, we may find, looking back on them, that we participated in bringing them about through some form of inner struggle that they seemed to resolve, or lead us into because we knew we had no choice morally.

These experiences started for me early in life, and so I became accustomed to them in a strange sort of way where drastic and constant changes became the norm. My childhood was very unstable, and I ended up running away and living on the streets, not because I was abandoned, but because I chose to. I wasn’t willing to compromise myself or allow the events to take place that were inevitable if I continued living at home, so I left because I felt safer on the streets than I did at home. At least on the streets I had some control, and could, through my own decisions and actions keep myself safe. Though this led into a traumatic time in my life of tremendous hardship and uncertainty, I also grew in strength and confidence, and was able to set up a life where I not only took care of myself, but continued to go to school, be placed in advanced learning, and graduated high school two years early with a college scholarship. All without nobody realizing I wasn’t living at home.

 
Later, when my son was born, he had health problems that I had to go through extreme lengths to get diagnosed, because even though I was intuitively picking up on it, the symptoms were common and subtle, and no one believed me. When I finally got help with a diagnosis, it was within hours of saving his life, and brought on a year long process of multiple surgeries, living in the hospital and out of my car, being ruined financially and devastated emotionally. I had to draw on a part of myself I didn’t know was there, and came into the full realization of a higher consciousness that I could access at will, and use to make calculated decisions and perform operations that would later be seen as miraculous. I came to know the meaning of unconditional love, total surrender to the creative process of life, and the incredibly powerful sense of myself that came from realizing that I would die for my son. This experience changed me at the deepest level of my sense of self, matured me exponentially, and gave me incredible moral strength and complete confidence in my intuition and my ability to handle anything. Through this experience I built a working relationship with the higher power that’s active in my life and available as willpower.

 
Years later, after going through financial bankruptcy, and struggling to keep a failed marriage together, flirting with drug addiction and encountering the darker side of seemingly normal things, after a series of premonitions, my husband was abruptly killed by being stabbed through the heart while in the stall of a bathroom, set my life into a tailspin prolonged by a year long trial in our home town of 2,400 people. Needless to say, it was the event of the decade, and got constant media attention. His death brought me face to face with the reality of what happens when and after we die. I developed an insatiable sense of wonder about our true spiritual nature, the meaning of life, and how all things serve a purpose in terms of the experiences and life lessons they set in motion, in which we are lured and drawn deeply into as the “point of no return”. This event and everything that ensued from it completely changed the direct of my life, set into motion a whole new set of questions and a deep desire to know the true nature that underlies and orchestrates things. At 30 years of age, my true spiritual quest into the unknown fully kicked into motion and changed the course of my life and how I looked at things.

Even though I continued to experience other events that continued morphing and changing the direction of my life, most seemed rather easy and void of real pain after this. As my path steadily led into a serious and devoted study of spiritual sciences, a decision to return to college, and when approaching my thesis for my Ph.D. in Spiritual Sciences, both of which centered around personal transformation, I began realizing what I called my “soul agreement” in regards to mastering this process, not by having it seemingly thrust upon me through what seemed like tragedy and trauma in which I had no control or conscious say so in, but as a willed experience that I cooperatively engaged in.

 
My true dedication became apparent when my college insisted I write about it as a clinical study or form of research project, that used and cited other professionals work as a means of proving or validating my ideas, which of course would have been a spin-off of what’s already been done, instead of writing about it from experience, which is what I was proposing. I wanted to undergo it in a completely conscious manner so I could capture the experience of it, and know through the experience what we have to access as a means of “making it”. And not letting it overcome us or do us in . . . which of course, it can. I felt so strongly about this, that when I couldn’t get it approved, I declined the Ph.D. program, and went for my Doctorate instead. Upon graduation, after I got over the tremendous feeling of relief and congratulating myself (it’s a lot of work), a voice inside of me calmly said . . . “now its time to practice what you’ve learned theoretically”. A serious feeling came over me as a form of dread, and I knew the real work had only just begun and that my life up to this point served only as a preview for what was to come. And from that point forward my life as I knew and built it, began systematically falling apart and leaving. And even in the moments when I desperately tried to grab onto some form of security and stability long enough to get my bearings, I couldn’t. Nothing worked. And all I seemed to see and encounter was the incredibly false nature of things; of people, relationships, communities, companies, government . . . everything around me seemed to be revealing a hidden nature that while I knew and suspected it was there before, didn’t really know for sure. Then I began realizing that everything else was changing because I was changing, and as what I thought was my true nature began falling away and I was no longer able to use it to create my reality, the equally false nature of everybody and everything began dissolving and all I could see and sense was who they really were at their deepest, most essential parts. And it all but devastated me. Even though I thought that I knew the true reality of things through my extreme intellect and well developed intuition, I quickly came to realize in very abrupt terms, that this was not the case!

 
As I lost just about everything and who I was by way of what I owned, the job I had, the amount of money I made, and the image I presented and experienced myself through, my relationship with everything else changed also, and the ones based on the false image I had so successfully created and the confident dynamic persona I had perfected, changed, revealing an entirely different side to things, and everything I had become accustomed to and dependent on “left” my life. I came to know extreme forms of humility, abandonment, surrender, sacrifice, unbearable insecurity, and the depths of anguish encountered at the bottom of what seems like the bottomless pit of the dark night of the soul, when we find ourselves in a place the eye does not see, where we can no longer grab onto things, ideas, roles, people, situations, relationships, or jobs to pull ourselves up with and provide us with some form of hope and relief, we come into another realization, one that at first is foreign to us and even awkward to contemplate, we begin noticing and sensing a feeling deep within us that seems to be reaching out to us, longing for our desolate gaze, which the moment we become truly aware of it, begins taking hold and growing in us, while everything else fades away. As it grows inside of us it begins fortifying us with a new sense of life and energy. As we begin drawing on it out of the depths of despair, we’re filled with a renewed sense of hope and moral comfort. The more attention we give it, the more it swells inside of us, softly seducing us with its soft penetrating glow.

 
In this final moment of drawing on our inner strength, free from the confines and affects of the material world, we begin realizing our true identity as being in this world, but not of it. We surrender and give ourselves over, not to an external force, but to an internal one. One that can’t be lost or taken away. One that resides in us eternally and unconditionally. One that’s always been there and never leaves us, but requires our recognition and invitation. Once this happens, and we begin settling into a new kind of spiritual wealth, where simply lose interest in material wealth, no longer crave excess or nonessential ideas and things, and begin experiencing a newfound freedom born out of a lack of attachment to material things, and we begin working consciously to simplify and streamline our life. We lose selfish interests and turn our attention instead to helping others by contributing in a more meaningful way to benefit others on their own spiritual journeys into self-healing through self-recognition and realization.

We come to realize that forgiveness itself is an illusion, because those we imagine have betrayed or forsaken us, honestly don’t know what they do because they’re caught up in the illusion of their life and feel warranted and justified in their actions. No one can attack or hurt us unless we’re invested in the same illusion and therefore deem ourselves hurtable or attackable. When we separate ourselves from the illusion we normally share with others as a primordial form of ignorance, we no longer react to them. They can no longer cause a reaction in us in response to them. They exercise no control over us. They no longer affect us. We no longer share the same reality that’s producing their behavior towards us. We realize with great clarity and absolution, that their perception and behavior has nothing to do with us, and is simply an expression of who they are and the reality they live in as a projection of their own mind. Through this realization we come to realize there’s nothing to forgive, because they don’t have the ability to harm us. They have inflicted no pain on us, and we have not suffered at their mercy. We no longer share the error of their thinking, and so it doesn’t become a part of our experience.

 
When we shift our very perception of life, what things mean, how they appear to us, the true nature of reality and what’s happening in the true underlying sense, we move to a higher vibration and cultivate a different kind of awareness that no longer relates or partakes in the lower levels of consciousness still shrouded with the veil of unconsciousness. Once you know, you can’t not know. Once you see and realize the true reality of the material realm that disguises ideas with outer appearances, you don’t even notice the outer appearance anymore, but experience directly their inner nature instead. You begin seeing people as they are being distinctly separate from you, and therefore unable to affect you because you’ve changed how you enter into relationship with them, and everything else changes accordingly. People who used to upset you, cause you to feel anger and hatred or disgust, you now view with compassion because you realize fully that they are consumed with ignorance and basically unaware of what they’re actually doing, and more importantly, because their consciousness no longer resonates with yours, and therefore doesn’t enter into you and produce an effect in you . . . so they can’t hurt you or even disturb your internal peace of mind, because they exist outside of and apart from you.

 
When we’re no longer affected by the emotions and mental projections of others, not prone to addictions and cravings that command our will, and we become passionless in terms of worldly pleasures and success, we detach from material possessions as the means of providing us with our identity and sense of self. We detach from external outcomes, and maintain our sense of self from an internal source that’s eternally peaceful and only affected by the consciousness that inhabits the internal plane, which is benevolent and selfless. Our journey into our true nature is a transformation that moves us from being determined by the material world which is built out of a shared illusion, to being determined by the power of our own soul’s consciousness and true connection to the spiritual realm of immortality, eternal strength, and all pervading peace and compassion for those still lost in the illusions of their own making, without ever even realizing it.

Becoming Self-Aware: Learning to Observe Yourself

The starting point of all forms of Self development begins by becoming ‘aware’ of how your mind functions on a normal basis while you’re not tending it, or realizing what’s happening internally, and why. In order to begin observing ourselves requires us to learn how to take on a dissociated position as a form of “second person perspective”. We move outside of the direct experience we’re always involved in with our own internal dialoguing and feelings, and we simply take a perspective of observing our natural thoughts, and the natural processes that are always taking place within us as the basis for creating our everyday, moment by moment experiences as a relationship and interaction with everyone and everything around us. We’re constantly creating our life experiences by how we feel, think, and what memories we use as templates for rerunning and reforming our present experiences to mean the same thing, and be about the same thing as our past experiences.

 
The first key to all forms of introspection, self-reflection, and self-observation, is to realize that at no point in the process do we judge ourselves for what we feel and think, nor do we ever get involved in the dialogue of judging, explaining or justifying what we think, why we’re thinking it, and what we do. Because strangely enough, what you’ll find is that just as we defend our perspectives and behaviors to others, there’s an aspect of our internal dialogue that even justifies to ourselves why we think and do what we do as a means of making it okay, which allows us to “keep it”. Our goal here, in self-reflecting, is taking an objective perspective to simply begin realizing what type of thoughts we think on a regular basis, for no particular reason, or as a part of redundant thoughts born out of a theme we’re always playing out in our mind as a way of interpreting our outer reality by way of our inner reality which comes largely from a completely unaware state of automatic feelings, modes of thinking, and dwelling in memories of some sort that we replay constantly when we’re not focused on anything in particular, as a form of random or entertaining type of thoughts, that are for the most part habitual in nature.

To begin this practice, you have to simply make a commitment to it, and remind yourself periodically throughout your day, when it’s convenient, to simply stop what you’re doing, and become aware of what you’ve been thinking about. What type of story we’re you running through your mind, what type of description or explanation were you giving about something, or what memory were you rethinking about? Sometimes we run abstract ideas through our mind from a TV show we watched, a line in a movie, a song that we heard, something someone said to us, an article we read, something we’re curious about, wondering about, or as a form of anticipation of what’s going to happen in a situation much like a form of prophecy. Whatever it is, simply notice what it is, and become aware of it. Allow yourself to simply notice what it is that runs through your mind unattended.

 
As you begin becoming aware of the type of thoughts you tend to think without intention, allow yourself to also recognize what memories you’re always in the process of thinking about and running through your imagination in a variety of scenarios, and that you use to form predictions of the future by reliving them in the present. Stop and observe what ideas you run through your mind as a means of anticipating an event or activity. Then, allow yourself to notice how you “feel” based on what you tend to think about. What emotions and moods you tend to be in as a result of your thinking and imagining. Notice that all memories as a generalized idea that plays out a theme of some sort which have a distinct mood or emotional atmosphere to them. As you replay them, it causes you to feel the same way you felt when you were experiencing the memory. Just by thinking about them, makes you feel the same way. Allow yourself to notice how your thoughts are connected to your feelings. How thoughts and emotions are always connected. When you think about happy experiences, you feel happy. When you think about sad experiences, you feel sad. And how these emotions, feelings, and moods is either what cause you to think about whatever you’re thinking about, or they’re produced because you’re thinking about whatever you’re thinking about.

As you go through your day and someone or something causes an emotional reaction in you, have the awareness to stop in the middle of it, refrain from reacting to it, and simply observe what’s happening inside your body. Notice the distinct sensations you’re feeling in certain parts of your body that have certain qualities to them, such as, a tingling, jolting, buzzy, sinking, butterflies, sharp, dull, painful, arousing, and so on. As you recognize how it makes you feel, also notice what memory you associate the feeling too, and what behavior its prompting you to do. How do you want to act in reaction to it? What natural behavior would it normally cause in you if you weren’t refraining from acting? Notice the connection between an emotional trigger, the memory you associate to it, and the behavior inherent in it. This is what forms “reactions” as unconscious behaviors that are formed from a memory of some sort. Again, don’t judge or try to justify what’s happening, simply notice it. Become aware of it.

 
Also, as you go through your day, allow yourself to notice how the emotional energy of others feels. Become aware that you’re constantly picking up on the emotions of others, and they’re affecting you in a somewhat indirect and subtle, if not very direct manner. Then, as in the previous lessons, allow yourself to notice how their emotions “affect” (or infect) you by entering into or moving through you, and stimulating in you those same emotions and feelings. Become aware of how your body is being stimulated by the emotions being displayed around you. Notice how you can sense the energy of a room just by walking into it from the outside. How the room holds the energy of the people and activities being conducted or experienced by the people within it. And again, simply notice how the emotional atmosphere forms the same type of feelings in you just by being “in it”.

As you become more self-aware, you simultaneously become more aware of others and your environment. You can start becoming aware of what is normally happening inside of you and too you by your environment and your own thoughts. You can become aware of what memories you tend to hang onto and continue living out of that shaping your current perception of things, what you connect to first internally, then externally, and what mood or emotional state you tend to live out of as a result. You can begin becoming aware of how others directly affect and influence you just through the nature of the energy exchange that’s taking place as feelings, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You can begin shedding light on what’s normally operating in a habitual manner outside of your direct awareness. Just the awareness alone helps you to begin taking conscious control over your own thoughts, imagining, and emotional states.

 
We can only work with what we have a conscious awareness and basic understanding of. Becoming self-aware is the first step to moving into the practices that involve self-mastery by being able to not only control your own state of mind, but being able to direct your life by intentionally using your awareness of how feelings, thoughts, emotions, memories, and what we imagine as live scenarios directly affect how we first create our experiences, then use them as future memories to create more of the same type of experiences. We can obtain a new level of awareness around our relationships and how others act to influence us, what they activate and bring out in us, and how they serve to develop those tendencies in us. By becoming aware of what we were previously unaware of, we can see how it operates on us, through us, and because of us, and we can begin consciously controlling it and redirecting it in a more favorable manner. We can learn how to use positive memories and thoughts to automatically produce a positive state of mind. We learn how to stay present in our life instead of being caught up in endless distractions that keep us unconscious in the most basic sense. As with all things . . . awareness is the key! We can only work with what we’re aware of.

Learning to become an Excellent Communicator – Self-Expression as Performance

Knowledge originated as the “Arts and Sciences” in what most see as contrary ideas that are in reality extensions of each other. Knowledge as science can be thought of as an idea in theoretical form that can only be proved through experimentation or by applying it at the practical level to create living phenomena out of it as an experience of it. The application comes as a form of communication where we become the “channel” or “vehicle” through which the idea comes into physical reality by way of us. We act in some way by applying the idea to our life, and “act it out” or “perform it”. Because our method of application and style of performing is unique to us based on our personality, “how” we do it becomes a form of self-expression, where the science applied becomes an art-form.

 
Many of you may have seen the “communication pie” that reveals the components of communication as being 7% based on the words being used, 38% being the tone or quality of your voice in terms of “how” we say it, and 55% of the communication comes through our physiology as what we’re expressing by how we’re being. Naturally, many of the experts want to take this in a literal manner and begin breaking apart a whole expression into “body-language” as categories and labels in a way that can be standardized and therefore taught in a methodical manner, yet, what this is actually showing us is that we actually communicate by expressing with our whole being. Communication is a full body transmission that simultaneously reveals the inner state of the person communicating, while also revealing their mental paradigm that forms their unique perception and interpretive style. What this shows us is that we can never really hide how we’re feeling. Our attitude forms the greater part of our communication. What we value, believe, and have a preference for shapes our communication in subtle ways that while they may not be readily recognized in our attempt to conceal them, they are still fully conveyed in our energy, which is felt by others.

 
Communication is intuitive and being done all the time through our “presence”, regardless of whether or not we’re talking. People can sense our energy as our mental atmosphere, read our emotions being reflected in our body postures, gestures, and facial expressions, as well as biological processes such as flushing of the skin, tension in the lips, dilated pupils, shakiness in our voice, and so on. We also communicate in a basic sense by how we present ourselves, through our personal grooming, style, wardrobe, jewelry, etc. We create an image of ourselves that give people an impression of “who” and “how” we are, and what kind of person we are. To take up the study of body language that turns it into a mechanical, systematized process of categorizing and labeling specific postures and gestures as meaning this or that and applied to everyone equally, is like buying a book on “dream interpretation” that gives a universal interpretation of certain objects as if they mean the same thing to everybody, when in fact, nothing could be further from the truth. The message in the communication expresses not only the idea being communicated, but also the person doing the communicating. We can tell how they feel about what they’re communicating, what their perspective is, and whether they’re being congruent in terms of what they’re communicating being contradictory to how they actually feel. Whether they’re creating an illusion and lying, or whether or not they believe what they’re saying, and saying it out of honesty. What we’re doing with our body always matches our internal state. Always.

 
This gives us the tools we need for becoming excellent communicators by becoming aware of how we’re being as we communicate. By realizing that in order to communicate effectively, we have to first form the proper state or mood out of which we communicate, knowing it’s going to be the greater part of the communication. Cultivating the proper attitude through which we communicate is critical to the message or idea being communicated. Becoming aware of how we accentuate our voice quality through our tone, speed and hesitations as a form of timing, the rhythm of talking, what and how we emphasize words, what we’re doing with our body, our facial expressions, and gestures by how we use our hands, controlling the look in our eyes, and so on.


The basic dynamic always going on as the basis for our communication, is that whatever mood or emotion we’re embodying and expressing through, we stimulate that same emotion in others, calling it forth in response to us as the “connection” or “stream of communication” as an interactive flow of energy. We connect to others and the external world through feelings and emotions. Emotions connect us to things outside of ourselves that brings what’s inside, outside, and vice verse as a correspondence. Our action stimulates an equal reaction of the same emotional quality. How we act towards others by how we’re being, determines how they act towards us in a natural response to us. This is a fundamental form of “cause and effect”.

 
So all communication is in fact a “performance” where the words being employed are only a minute part of what’s actually being conveyed. To become an excellent communicator, you need to become an excellent performer. You take an attitude of expressing ideas by “embodying them”, creating the proper mood necessary for stimulating the same feeling-mood in whomever you’re communicating with. You do this by asking yourself, what feeling is necessary for the expression of this idea within the conditions and circumstances it’s being used to create? What is the purpose of the communication, and what effect or behavior is it designed to create? What emotion will give the proper emphasis and elicit the desired response as an outcome? Based on what you’re communicating and what result or course of action it’s meant to set in motion, what state do you need to cultivate in order to become the proper channel for expressing the idea that will elicit the same state in another? What part of the person’s imagination do you want to touch on through the nature of the communication, and what seed will the communication plant as a fertile idea in their mind that they will continue to grow through the emotion connected to it that it was delivered through, long after the communication is done?

To plant a seed as a thought to be grown in the mind of another, we match the idea with the emotion. The emotion determines in what way the idea will be developed, and what kind of reality they will create out of it as a result. When inspiring and passionate emotions are coupled with an idea, it’s developed in a very positive way as the means for expressing the emotion through the idea. When negative emotions are applied to the same idea, it’s developed in a way that expresses that emotion and serves to create more of it. Thought and emotion are always joined to create experiences as the reality of the thought. The emotion is our “direct line” into another and the formative or creative factor that shapes the idea to be an expression of it. While our thoughts may be unique to each person, and the words we use form different pictures in each persons mind as an association, emotions are universal and shared by everyone in a congruent manner. Anger produces anger, and though how it’s expressed may be different from person to person, it still acts to stimulate and create more anger. The emotional component of an idea is what we connect to in others, and the idea as a thought is simply the form the emotion takes on as a vehicle to express as a reality. Whenever we’re communicating, the emotion “is” what’s actually being communicated through how we’re expressing ourselves. Our expression stimulates that same nature and expression in another and acts to multiply it.

By learning to view how we communicate in a new light, we can not only become more self-aware, and perhaps realize why our communications fail to produce what we want them to produce, but through the awareness alone, we can hone our style for self-expression by learning how to perform much like an actor takes on the proper state and character traits to play a role in a convincing manner. Just as when we were kids and we modeled our hero’s and those we wanted to be like by taking on the same qualities and behaviors that served to develop us in those same ways by becoming the expression of them. When we learn how to communicate by performing, we develop higher forms of self-expression and become powerful creators in our own life. We learn how to “give” people ideas that we want them to develop and act to co-create with us by forming a joint reality out of them.

 

So as you think about communicating and what it is you wish to produce by way of the communication, think about what feeling or emotion as a state-of-mind that you want to elicit in them as the fertile ground for developing the idea you’re introducing into their mind as a thought that will be developed in their imagination into an internal experience. Then intentionally cultivate and take on that emotional state before you communicate the idea. Notice just how employing the emotional state changes how you form the communication in your imagination that changes how it delivered or expressed. Then, practice communicating in a way that consciously expresses the emotion by how you’re being. By your energy, your body posturing, facial expression, the tone and quality of your voice, and the rhythm in which you speak, and what you emphasize by “how” you say it. Communication is actually an art-form that’s performed. Like any performance based art, you have to practice to develop your style and your ability to become more expressive by learning to utilize your entire being as the basis for the communication.

To produce new behaviors takes the firm decision to do so, and commitment to a dedicated practice that’s undertaken in a devoted manner. Once we choose what we want to change and the new methods to be employed in their place, and we start by imagining our selves being that way, and doing it that way, we begin using the creative aspect of our imagination to form internal representations of an idea as a reality, that we then use for acting out to produce the same idea as an outer affect. Imagining an idea gives us the basis for practicing it. By practicing we build knowledge into our muscle where it becomes natural and automatic. We begin transforming how we’re being in the world, and how we express ourselves as a result. We learn how to truly connect to others and share ideas that simultaneously allow for emotional expression that’s healthy and productive in nature. By expanding our ability to express ourselves more fluently and eloquently, we form a new kind of confidence and enhance our experience of living by enriching the meaning things take on.

 

Practice only makes perfect when you know how to practice in the right way. Otherwise, it simply propagates a whole series of errors.
