Humility, Shedding the False Ego, and the True Path of Liberation

There always seems to be a strange kind of reality around ideas that exist as a form of paradox that breeds constant illusions as misunderstandings produced through incorrect interpretations. What’s commonly referred to as “shedding our ego”, or experiences that come as the “death” of the ego, can seem very misleading and often set us off on the wrong path, because they start off with an incorrect idea, and so all that comes from it is an expression of that same error. As higher spiritual beings with the power to self-create, we shape ourselves by whatever it is we “identify” with. Our identity, unlike our personality, is what gives us the potential for becoming “unique individuals” through conscious use of our higher capacities of self-realization, choice, and will.

The term ego and identity are synonymous and can be used interchangeably to describe the same principle. The only question becomes what it is that we use as the means for creating ourselves. When we shape our sense of self based on possessions, social standing, roles, relationships, physical appearance, job, and so on, we create ourselves out of a temporary, illusion oriented idea as what we call the “false ego” or false identity. When we create a false image of ourselves, we condemn ourselves to a mortal life that “dies” with the body and the social situation it was dependent on. If we use our material circumstances and the roles we play in order to know who we are, then we condemn our eternal soul to the confinement and limitations of the body and our soul becomes its servant.

Death of the False Ego

The “experience” of what we call the “death of the false ego” however, is a “life shattering” experience that’s very painful to endure and difficult to utilize for its liberating effects. When we not only lose our life-situation and social standing that we built our identity out of, but also our very means of security, it can cast us into a very dark place of unimaginable grief and hopelessness, often referred to as the “dark night of the soul”. As we fall into what seems like a bottomless pit of our own creation, a true transformation takes place, and it either does us in and we succumb to a new illusion of defeat that we build about ourselves in place of the old one, or we learn how to access a higher aspect of our self that we then use as the means for transforming ourselves. We either die in the flames of our own dissolution, never to rise again, or we rise from the ashes an entirely new being.

My Own Experience of Humility and Transformation

Even though I was born into a very impoverished situation as one of five children raised by a single mom on welfare, not having things was normal to me and I never used material things as the means of creating an image of myself. Instead I used my talents, intellect, special abilities, and willpower to succeed. Losing things never really affected me much because I didn’t have things to begin with. I was used to going without and only having what I barely needed in order to survive. I did however build an image of myself as being poor and impoverished and therefore inferior in some way, and knew I had to work extra hard in order to build a better life for myself than I was raised with.

As I went through life, I had constant life situations that required me to put everything I had at risk in order to “be there” for those I loved and who needed me. I incurred and dealt with many challenging situations where I lost everything I owned that was of any value, and I had to file bankruptcy on astronomical medical bills at a very young age. This only had a minimal effect on me at the time because I didn’t place much value on material things and knew I could make it without them. I had developed confidence in myself to be able to rebuild whatever was lost. When I was making decisions as to what I was going to do, I was very clear on what mattered and what didn’t, and so decisions came relatively easy for me.

As I went through life I was very successful in my career, became an Entrepreneur in my twenties, and built very prosperous businesses on several occasions. In my forties I helped build a business that became worth several million dollars, and was traveling the world as a consultant, workshop leader, and public speaker. I provided consulting services and professional training to other Entrepreneurs while deciding to return to college to earn my doctorate. As a result of my education, I then began providing professional training for applied psychology and Healing Arts. I was given an honorary award as a “world leader in integrative psychology and Mind-Body Medicine”, and published many scientific papers in several professional journals. I was also very far into my spiritual development, and when faced with the idea of whether or not I had an inflated ego, I honestly felt I didn’t because I had a fairly detached perspective on things and was able to see the true nature of things clearly from a highly objective perspective. I had no need to be in the limelight and often put out work without the need for any form of recognition.

As I built what became a very lucrative business (medical center), I was involved in a relationship that caused me to start feeling disillusioned with my life and the ethical nature of the business world. I was living an extremely stressful and face-paced life that resulted in adrenal exhaustion and anxiety attacks that made me feel like I was having heart problems. My partner was also extremely stressed out and his behavior started reflecting it with increased severity that became very destructive and demeaning. He threw what I referred to as “temper tantrums” that would frequently turn over several staff members in one episode. After a while I even had trouble hiring doctors because no one would work with him. I felt as though I was constantly caught up in a form of “damage control” and trying to fix whatever he destroyed. Once I fulfilled what I considered my professional obligation to the situation, I decided to leave. By leaving the relationship, I also left the business, and lost a large part of my livelihood. But I had established a fairly lucrative consulting practice so it didn’t seem to matter.

As I was adjusting to my new situation while still having a couple of years of school left, I started having a kind of foreboding feeling as though something heavy and dark was coming. I had a very strong desire to move to Kauai where I owned a vacation home, but felt tied down with far too many material possessions. I then started forming a desire to de-materialize by sorting out what was important and meaningful and what wasn’t. At the same time I was becoming spiritually aware of my “true goal” in life, which was to transcend this plane altogether at death. I knew that in order to do this I had to detach mentally and emotionally from the material world itself while also resolving all the karma I still had with others that bonded me to them energetically. It seemed as though every time I formed a realization around something that led to making a “sincere decision”, that decision began facilitating the events of my life as the means of fulfilling it. I didn’t have to make all the little decisions or figure out how to do it, all I had to do was form the decision as a spiritual commitment, and the process was set in motion that seemed to be happening automatically while beyond my ability to control it.

Shortly after this, the financial crisis of 2008 hit and within a relatively short period of time I lost nearly all of my investments, savings, and retirement. My most loyal consulting clients were also devastated financially, and my thriving practice began dwindling. I lost my home in the mountains and had to move back to the city and try to find work after being an Entrepreneur for over 25 years. I worked providing consulting services on a contract basis, and was engaged in a seven month project that I was never paid for because the company ended up filing bankruptcy. My consulting business continued to dissolve and as I tried to get a job nothing came through. No matter what I tried, nothing worked, and I began consistently selling off and losing most of my belongings. My vehicle was leased through my company, and it was eventually repossessed. As I was experiencing complete financial loss, I had 4 months of school left and I committed to making sure I completed what at that time was my PhD.

As I was writing the hypothesis for my thesis, I wanted to write about “Personal Transformation that came by Choice and not as a Crisis”. I wanted to write about it from within the “experience” of it rather than a clinical study. The very foundation of Spiritual Sciences is based on the fact that we only truly learn, and thereby “know” something through “experience”. It’s only through experience that knowledge is integrated into our paradigm, upgrading and evolving it as a result. But the peer review group wouldn’t allow me to do it that way and insisted that it be written as a form of “research” instead. It was so important to me to remain true to the “science” of acquiring the knowledge through direct experience that I decided to forfeit the PhD. program and simply complete my doctorate instead. But the “commitment and importance” of writing about it from “within the actual experience of it” in order to capture the human drama of it remained with me and continued to shape the events of my life accordingly as if it was beyond my control to change it.

As I concentrated in order to finish up the last few classes, I started getting a vision as a pervading thought of living in my van (I had bought for my mother). I’m very aware of the creative power of thought as visualizations, yet this was coming as an idea that I wasn’t generating consciously, but was being “given” to my subconscious as a form of prophecy. As I finished school and accomplished my doctorate and was “patting myself on the back”, relieved in my achievement, this solemn voice inside calmly said . . . “now that you have the theory down, let’s practice” . . . and I knew from that moment on that I was in for the ride of my life, and I tried to mentally prepare myself for what I knew was coming.

I continued to steadily lose my possessions, not being able to get work, and struggling in the most basic sense. Every time I tried to figure things out by attempting to grab onto and bring back to life the only security I had known by recreating my old situation in a new way, simply didn’t work. The people who knew me as my professional persona quit talking to me because I was no longer “successful”, and all opportunities seemed to fade away. My friends quit calling and inviting me places, and I slowly became alone and isolated. My family took an attitude of almost enjoying seeing me “fall from grace” because they were jealous of my achievements and saw me as “thinking I was somehow better than them”. They began making constant comments about how I finally got to see what it was like for the rest of them, not seeming to acknowledge that I had come from the same place they did. I was told that I was going to have to learn how to “stoop” and maybe get a job at Starbucks or Walmart. I didn’t have anyone to stay with and literally ended up all alone sleeping in my van along a dark deserted street.

The Realization that Brought an Awakening

I can’t even describe the pain I felt in realizing that everything I had built my life around was an illusion. When I saw the true nature of people I thought I knew, I felt overwhelmed with disgust at how selfish, small, and pathetic they seemed. They somehow made me out to be a lazy low-life that was expecting “hand-outs”. I was shocked and dismayed in light of all the things I had been able to accomplish in my life up to that point, and that’s when I finally realized the true meaning of what the “false ego” really is. The “image” I had built of myself based on worldly accomplishments that won me recognition and the admiration of others, and my ability to build wealth out of nothing and work my way into high positions with total confidence, was how I was “shaping” my perception of myself as the kind of person I was. This false idea I had built about myself only attracted those who were of the same false image. My life had been built around a total illusion of my own making that was so convincing that I even deceived myself, because in the experience of my own demise, I realized I didn’t even know for sure who I really was. My belief in the image I had built of myself became my own undoing.

As I went through a long period of total despair, I felt like I was a fool and had even been abandoned by God. This was extremely amplified by the fact that I was also in the process of going blind. I had been diagnosed with macular degeneration at the age of 40, and it was now reaching a point of crisis where functioning in the most normal sense was becoming increasingly difficult. This greatly accelerated my feelings of despair and being all alone in the world and not knowing why this was happening to me. What had I ever done to “deserve” this? My life didn’t seem to have any purpose, and as I lost my most basic resources, I felt as though I didn’t even matter anymore. After all the work I had been through to build a good life I was going to end up poor, blind, and all alone in life. Kicked to the curb and left to suffer as I slowly diminished. Every night as I laid down to sleep I prayed for death. All I wanted was to end my suffering and fade silently into the abyss. Without purpose my life had no meaning.

Realizing Who I Am

Throughout my life I’ve always been a compulsive writer and have always processed my life experiences and how I was feeling by writing about them. One of my most prevalent tendencies in life has always been to study subjects in-depth, forming a clear understanding of them, and then write about them. I’ve been creating books and journals for as long as I can remember. As an artist early in life, it wasn’t a love for painting or writing that compelled me to create, but the desire to capture a feeling as a realization and express it in a way that gave the viewer or reader the same feeling and realization. Once the overwhelming grief and intense feelings of loss and disillusionment began slowly subsiding, it suddenly dawned on me that what was happening in its wake was that I was starting to reconnect with my true self.

There was a part of me that remained alive all these years and I continued to do as what I considered my true life’s work. I came into the world with talents, natural desires, and tendencies that formed the basis for all my material accomplishments. Through everything that I had lost (which was a great deal) I had managed to keep what was not only important to me, but that was truly “mine”; my paintings, art supplies, and a good part of my writings and books. These were the same things I engaged in naturally as a child and young adult, and were the core of my being. These parts of me never went away and couldn’t be lost or taken away from me by an outside force. As I was all alone in life, I was still studying, writing, and painting.

As I began reorganizing my life from a new perspective and exhausted the feelings of grief and moral despair, I realized that I had got my wish. I realized from a strangely clear perspective that I had undergone the experience of transformation as a decision I had made for myself, that was then carried out and conducted by my higher-self. What I realized as a flaw in my hypothesis is that true transformation is experienced “as” a crisis. It comes as a crisis in identity where all of the illusions of my life either fell away, were taken away, or lost somehow through what appeared to be a course of natural events, and only what was true remained present.

As I lost everything that I used to create my life and identity, I realized that not only did my true self remain completely intact, but became amplified due to the fact that I had freed up a great deal of time and energy I was spending on other things. Due to the fact that I couldn’t seem to rebuild what was lost, I became clear on what was real and an essential part of me that couldn’t be taken away or lost, because it wasn’t based on material factors. It was my soul’s essence which equipped me with everything I needed to fulfill my soul’s purpose. As I abruptly disconnected from my own self-created delusions about myself and my purpose in the world, I began naturally reconnecting with my soul. In reconnecting with my soul’s essence, I began drawing all my power from an internal source.

I realized that most of what I thought I needed and was important, I didn’t need at all and it only had the importance I gave it. That my life only “meant” what I said it meant. I lost all desire for material wealth and status, and felt a newfound kind of freedom. I severed all relationships that were based on illusions while simultaneously maintaining my love for the people because I realized with absolute clarity that they were still caught up in the illusion of their own making and honestly didn’t know any better. I realized I wasn’t abandoned by God, but by my own illusions of God. That the process that had been unconsciously facilitated by my Higher-Self based on my decision to dedicate my life to the truth and transcend this plane of illusion, was a loving act designed to bring me home and reconnect me to the absolute truth of who I am as a spiritual and universal being.

As I detached from the need to somehow control and determine the events and outcomes of my life, I felt completely unaffected by it all. I realized that other people’s opinion of me was shaped as a reflection of their own character as making me into the same type of person they are, and I detached from their projections as a result. I quit looking outward for approval and acceptance, or in an attempt to somehow acquire power from an outside source, and began always residing inward and drawing my strength from an internal source that never dwindled or subsided, but grew in strength as I began depending on it.

I began identifying almost exclusively with my spiritual self instead of my physical self, and all selfish motives and material desires left me. I began cultivating the ability to see the truth in everyone and everything by remaining tuned to the inner nature of things and what was motivating all their perceptions and actions, instead of basing it on the outer appearance of things. I became detached from the emotions being projected at me by others, and remained calm and unaffected by them, and as a result, stayed present with the truth without needing to somehow change it. I realized that my own emotions were the result of what I focused on and how I thought about things, and I began thinking in more universal and meaningful ways.

As I became more and more identified with my Higher-Self and quit building a life of illusion, I began sensing myself as “being in this world but not of it”. I quit looking to “get something” from my interactions with others, and looked instead to give to others in whatever way served their higher good and the good of everyone involved. I began empathizing with their soul’s journey as a dynamic means of learning and growing instead of seeing them only for their unconscious shortcomings and outward faults born out of confusion. I realized that now, and only now am I truly qualified to teach others the knowledge of higher wisdom by having apprehended it through experience . . . which is what my soul’s purpose is in this life.

Only those who are humble can conceive of higher truth without distorting it through the interpretations of their ego. As long as we maintain and live out of a false image and idea about ourselves and the world, we only resonate and act to receive more knowledge of the same kind. When we’re motivated by selfish needs and in love with our own opinions that we mistake for truth, we distort and corrupt true knowledge as a means of serving our own agendas or in order to somehow justify whatever it is we need to in order to maintain it as being true. When we form beliefs out of illusions, we bond ourselves to the world of illusions. When we form our identity around material things and mistake ourselves for being the personality of our body, we become mortal beings who die with our body. When we reside in a state of true detachment from false ideas and selfish motives, we’re able to receive knowledge from higher planes and witness it “as it is” without distorting it by forming personal interpretations. Only what we acquire by “being it” and “living it” as a direct experience becomes the basis for true wisdom. We only truly know what we become and do.

Realizing your True Self and Transcending the False Ego of your Past

One of the most fundamental spiritual errors we make in life is in believing that we are the personality of our body and conditioning. As a human soul born into an animal body, we acquire the physical characteristics and ancestral memory that’s inherent in our genes. Our genetic makeup bestows us with the basic tendencies that are then developed by our family dynamics (those who share the same tendencies) as our formative conditioning that serves to birth our initial identity (ego). Through our formative conditioning we form a story about our self that becomes our life theme. As we grow into adults we take over the process of continuing to condition ourselves by living out of the same story. We usually do this without ever realizing that the only reason it holds true for us is because we continue to live our life as though it’s true. Many people (actually most), firmly believe that they “are” their personality as they were shaped by others and society, and have no real ability to change themselves. They live their entire life without ever realizing that they’re actually the “story-teller” and one that’s producing the reality of their story, rather than a mere consequence of the story itself.

As we come into this life and our soul acquires the qualities of our genetic makeup, we’re initially shaped by others and outside forces to strengthen and develop certain qualities while others remain latent and underutilized. We exist as children in a predominately unconscious state (of hypnosis) where we readily take in and internalize whatever consciousness is actively being expressed and demonstrated all around us. Whatever dynamics we’re apart of as a family structure, we become programmed with, and they serve to form the foundation for the story we begin telling ourselves as a means of making sense of things as we begin developing our conscious mind (between 8 and 21 years).

Our personality is formed from an unconscious state as a form of hypnotic programming that lays the foundation as a life theme for our identity to spontaneously emerge through our conscious development. As we begin thinking for ourselves and forming our own ideas about things (somewhere around puberty) we take over our own unconscious programming as our internal dialogue and the perceptual filters that we use for producing all of our experiences. We take over where our family left off, and our parent’s voice becomes our own internal voice and the means through which we interpret things to give them meaning through the story we begin telling ourselves about them. Our conditioning forms the basis for all of our initial internal dialogue as our means of thinking and processing information to form a consistent experience of our self, others, and the world around us. Out of this initial story-line as a life theme we consciously begin developing our identity by the roles we naturally take on and play through the relationship we form with the outer world and our life circumstances.   

All of our primary memories are formed from significant emotional events in our life that had a strong impact of some kind that altered us in some way. The emotional impact came at a time when we couldn’t rationalize it in an objective manner, and so we processed the experience internally by making it all about us. As a child we perceive ourselves as being one with our family unit and haven’t yet developed the mental capacity to see ourselves as sovereign individuals. Whatever we hear being said about us by others around us we accept as being true without questioning it, and form beliefs about our self as a result. Through a basic form of hypnotic suggestion we’re given (subliminally programmed with) the same values, attitudes, perspectives, beliefs, emotional states, and behavioral dynamics as our family unit. We always shape ourselves to be just like our family, or what we imagine to be the opposite (relate or contrast), but either way, we still form ourselves by way of our family.

As we grow older we fall into a very specific and pronounced role within that dynamic and we begin developing ourselves based on what we’ve been taught to believe about ourselves and the way things are. Whatever other people say about us when we’re a child acts as a creative directive (hypnotic suggestion) for our subconscious to produce as a reality. The beliefs we form about ourselves as a child become our “core beliefs” out of which we form all of our other beliefs as a correlation, and ultimately becomes a form of “self-fulfilling prophecy”. What we call our soul’s “destiny” is usually the result of our conditioning as our “false identity”.

By the time our conscious and self-aware mind develops fully (around 21 to 28 years old), where we develop the powers of reasoning, discernment, and the ability to logically analyze things, and we separate emotionally from our parents and begin seeing our self as an individual, we’re already programmed and take over the process of conditioning (creating) ourselves by continuing to live out of our past. We continue to see ourselves and process our experiences as we’ve been taught to through our conditioning, and the voice of those who judged and criticized us becomes our own internal voice that we continue playing over and over in our mind.

How we Shape Ourselves

We all have a tendency to only live out of a handful of memories that we use as the means of constructing our story about ourselves and our life. These are the memories that had the greatest impact on us, and that we use in a continuous fashion to shape ourselves accordingly. There are many other memories that we could use that would contradict our story, or tell a different type of story altogether, but we choose to ignore and exclude those, and often, over time, forget them completely. This natural ability to select the memories that we use to build our life story out of is a demonstration of our soul’s true ability to create itself, but of course we usually fail completely to realize “how” our mind is operating to “create”, and focus instead on the conditioned content as what we’ve been taught to think and feel. We don’t know how to recognize the laws by which our mind works to create an image of ourselves “as” a certain type of person, and believe instead in the illusion of our own making.

My own experience of this as a realization came from a basic form of inner guidance that called me on my own story about things. One of the feelings I always had as a kid was that nobody knew me as I really am, and judged me instead to be the same as my family, which I was nothing like in the most basic sense. As a young adult I moved to a town where nobody knew me or my family, and as I was getting ready to walk through the doors of a restaurant I was working at, it seemed like a kind of metaphor for walking into a new reality, and a voice inside said . . . okay Linda, you’re always saying that people don’t know you for who you really are, so who are you? The only thing that people are going to know about you here is what you choose to tell them. No one knows anything about your past or what you’ve been through. And I decided at that point that I wasn’t going to talk about my past or my family.

What I immediately noticed is how people looked at me and how they treated me based on being myself. I felt a kind of heaviness had been lifted from me, and a strange, newfound freedom. Like I was standing in front of a blank canvas and deciding what I was going to create. I had a blank piece of paper where I could write whatever story I wanted to. As a result of never talking about my past and deciding I was going to create myself in a conscious manner, I began forgetting about the past and over time thought about it less and less. As I no longer chose to dwell in memories of the past, I began feeling different about myself and my life. My personal growth during this time was phenomenal and I slowly began transforming myself into a completely new type of person. The person I consciously decided to be.

Many years later, when I finally opened up and talked briefly about my childhood and what I went through growing up, people that knew me were shocked. They had no idea and thought I had come from a well-to-do family, had an extensive education, and was nurtured as a child by loving parents. As time went on, many years later, when I would talk about the crazy stuff we did as kids (I had 3 older brothers), instead of talking about it as abuse and tragedy, I decided I was going to embody the outlook and attitude of two of my favorite fictional characters, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, and I re-told the stories of my past in a humorous and adventurous way. All of my stories about running away, hoping trains to who knows where, and living in forts on the streets became exciting adventures of exploration and freedom. I retold the exact same experiences from and entirely different perspective, and as a result changed the memories themselves in terms of how I “experienced” them and how I felt about myself as a result. I literally recreated myself using the same memories as life events while experiencing them in a whole new way. This was my first lesson in the art of self-transformation.

Now, as a fully mature person who has lived many lives in the course of this life and personality, I hardly ever talk about my past or myself in the general sense, and instead practice being present, talk about ideas and what my life is about currently. I’ve grown so much in terms of my ability to create myself intentionally that I don’t even relate to the little girl in my memories anymore. Many people see me as mysterious and a bit hard to get to know, without realizing that it’s because I no longer choose to live from my unconscious conditioning of the past, and instead identify with my true self as a universal being that’s the “storyteller” and the one creating the reality rather than the hypnotized personality still living out of the past and how I was shaped by others.

To wake-up in life isn’t to “heal from the past” by going through years of therapy where you “work through the issues of your past”, which usually only causes you to become even more identified with your past and the need to tell about “what happened to you” as a means of explaining why you’re the way you are. It comes instead through realizing who you really are as a soul and identifying instead with being the one who’s doing the creating by way of the story you keep telling yourself and others, often referred to as “your truth”. It’s detaching from your own past memories formed as a child when you had no real self-awareness and assuming the position of being the one who’s creating an image of yourself and producing the reality of your life “as” that story. You decide that you no longer need to keep telling that story as an expression of who you are, and you let go of it as a result. You no longer present yourself through the stories of your past and realize instead that you can create in the present whatever experience of yourself you want to by simply choosing to operate your own mind and imagination in an intentional manner.

What we think of as our “self” is formed out of memories. Our memories only remain alive if we continue to give them life in the present by constantly reliving them in our imagination. To change the self, you have to change the memories that serve to form it. All memories are actually something we create by how we interpret the events of our life out of whatever emotional state we were in at the time. By constantly reliving the memories over and over keeps us locked into the same emotional states. Whatever memory we play out and the emotion it keeps us infused with forms all of our natural perceptions, behaviors, and activities. You don’t change a memory by reinterpreting it to give it new meaning, but by “experiencing” the same event from a different perspective and attitude that causes you to “feel different” and elicits a different emotion in response to it. We evolve and transform ourselves by re-imagining our life experiences. All will to create lies in masterful use of your own imagination.

Gaining a Practical Understanding of the Principles involved for our Soul to Transcend the Material Plane

       This idea can be difficult to fully grasp in practical terms because it’s very esoteric in the sense that it requires a true shift in awareness in order to be able to employ intentionally.It requires an in-depth understanding of the Universal Laws involved along with a realization of the “true nature” of the very “reality” we’re looking to transcend.It’s not about looking around at all the ideas that are out there regarding the idea of ascending, but rather gaining a comprehensive understanding of the laws involved to the point where you can come up with your own ideas and processes for intelligently developing your consciousness in an individual manner. All growth and development only comes by way of intentional action, disciplined effort, and constant striving. There’s no such thing as an “easy path” to higher domains, and all true creation requires deliberate use of choice and will in creating ourselves as an “individual” rather than buying into the “group mind” of always looking for someone else’s ideas that we can accept and use as our own.

       The most fundamental difference of what we think of as “higher and lower consciousness” comes through the realization of what it actually means to either be a product of what you’ve been taught by others and therefore not consciously utilizing your ability to reason and make your own decisions as the means for forming your actions, which is what serves to “demonstrate” your “actual” level of consciousness. In the lower plane of an“animal existence”, which is primarily unconscious in nature, we buy into the group mind of consensus and regulations, where opinion is mistaken for fact,and we lack autonomy and a sovereign will. All the knowledge and instructions necessary for creating comes as a thorough understanding of laws and the practice necessary for applying them in your daily life as the means of “creating yourself”.

       We only ascend or descend and “move between planes of existence” through Universal Laws as the consciousness we employ and develop within a given plane. There are many planes that are dynamically interlaced and work together to form what we perceive as a “single plane” that has higher and lower regions as levels of consciousness that naturally exists as an inherent part of that plane. Many people fail to comprehend that what we call the material plane is produced and maintained “by” our consciousness which is an aspect of the Universal Consciousness and does not exist independent of us.

The Singularity

        The entire material plane that we appear to be sharing in common with others is produced as a projection of our own individual mind that’s a part of a larger group mind, and every element of our reality is the embodiment and expression of an “aspect” of ourselves. This idea follows the same principle as our “nightly dreams” which are produced solely by our “unconscious mind” as fully embellished sensory realities. Our nightly dreams are composed of many different people as “characters” that are all playing a role in creating a coherent idea as a reality and experience of the idea. Just as we can interpret the meaning of our dreams by embodying and becoming each person or object within the dream being used to illustrate it, we can also see each person or thing in our waking reality the same way, because they’re all aspects of ourselves necessary to play out a greater story as the means of producing an experience of hidden or unconscious aspects of ourselves.

       What we perceive as the “outer reality”is produced by our mind in the same way the reality of our night dreams are. Both the inner and outer reality exist as what we can call “dream states” that express and reveal to us the “full content” of our mind and soul as both conscious(aware) and unconscious (unaware) aspects. All dreams and visions as a certain “type of reality” are formed out of different mental states. All of what we perceive as being “out there”, disguised as someone or something else (separate from us), is a symbolic or metaphorical representation of unknown or hidden aspects of ourselves that are necessary in order to act out an idea, providing us with the means for gaining self-awareness from it. Just as we contrast and conflict with other people, we have internal aspects of ourselves that also act to oppose each other causing internal conflict and struggle as a form of ongoing argument and debate with “ourselves”.

       What we call “aspects” of ourselves (notice this is always plural)exist as attributes and qualities that form unique characteristics as a form of personality, or what we can think of as a sub-personality. Each sub-personality as aspects of our Self has its own unique perspective, motives, and purposes that are projected outward (meaning we perceive through them), forming our perception of others as being of the “same nature” as we are. We form outer experiences of the same type of things that exist within us. The same conflicts we experience internally are acted out by others externally. What we perceive as the inner and outer are both a part of the same space-time continuum as different mental states that make up what we call a “plane of existence” that’s cohesive and consistent in nature.

        We have two primary aspects of our mind that makeup what we call the “material mind”, one of which is unconscious and experienced as our inner or body-oriented mind, and the other one is self-conscious and experienced as our outer awareness. These two aspects of the same mind exist in polarity to each other, and when one is active the other one is passive in terms of “awareness”. We remain largely unaware of our night dreams because they’re created by our unconscious mind while our self-aware mind is sleeping. Once we wake-up and our self-conscious mind becomes active and dominant, we enter into a different type of dream state that’s based on an outer dream. Yet both the inner and outer reality is produced by the same mind while in different states(Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, and Gamma), also referred to as brain-waves. As we move from one state to another, we shift dimensions (from inner to outer) and forget the reality of the previous state. This is why we forget our night dreams and visions we have while meditating as soon as we come into an alert Beta state.

       All debates over controversial ideas that we enter into with others, are really the outward extension and enactment of an equivalent inner debate we’re having with ourselves, as a conflict between “known and unknown” parts of ourselves. This is what creates the false illusion of duality as the inner reality being separate from the outer reality,both of which are produced by the “same mind”. This idea is expressed through sayings like “judge not lest ye be judged”, and “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, and the idea that whatever we put out we get back, and that all outer perception is a fundamental form of self-perception. These ideas offer us insight into the true nature of reality that if we contemplate with an empty and silent mind, putting all beliefs and existing ideas aside, reveals the laws that make-up the true nature of reality.

       As long as we form a belief around the general idea being played out as mass reality that appears to be separate from us, we unconsciously participate in co-creating it as what seems like a joint-experience. Once created as what seems like an outer reality, we then fully cooperate in maintaining it out of an unconscious state. We then use the projections of our own mind as a detached reality as the means of creating ourselves out of it. Whatever plane we’re a cohesive part of in terms of self-awareness, acts to “bond us” energetically to that plane of existence. In the lower plane of material reality we act on ourselves to create ourselves out of a primarily unconscious state, and become identified with an illusion of our own making. In order to ascend this plane,so to speak, we have to bring what’s operating in our life at an unconscious level into conscious awareness where we become “fully conscious” as our normal state.

        Our material reality and everything in it is not the end goal or objective of the soul (who’s creating it as an illusion of itself) and only provides the means as a kind of “stage” for the Soul to play out the reality naturally produced by its mind as the means of expressing in order to gain self-realization, and use that knowledge as the basis for fashioning itself to “be” of a certain nature.There’s no such thing as believing one thing and doing another, no matter how we justify it to ourselves. All of our actions are the demonstration of our true level of consciousness, and serve to define us in the most practical sense.The idea that we can somehow “love another” without first “loving ourselves” is absurd in the most basic sense of the idea, because ultimately they’re both the same thing. If we love another it means we love that same aspect as qualities and “type of person” in ourselves. What we perceive as another, like the characters in our nightly dreams, are merely aspects of ourselves playing apart in a much larger drama.

Self-Reflection as the means of Self-Realization

       What we experience as the outer reality is created at the fundamental level by both conscious and unconscious aspects of ourselves. Whatever seems normal and doesn’t cause a “reaction in us” as a form of judgment of some kind, are the aspects that we’re aware of and fully accept and embrace as being a part of us. In a like manner, whatever we don’t recognize as being “us”, causes an emotional reaction as a form of judgment. Because we’re unaware of it, we don’t realize we’re the one creating it, and we imagine that it’s someone or something that taking place outside of us and has nothing to do with us. We then create the “illusion” of entering into relationship with unknown aspects of ourselves in order to act out dramas together that form a continuation of internal dramas of the same nature and kind.

       This is what’s meant by the idea that you’re already “whole” and don’t need someone or something that exists outside of you in order to “complete you”. What we look for in another already exists within us, we just don’t realize it because we haven’t become aware of that part of ourselves, and instead perceive it as being missing. This idea is illustrated in the most primary law represented by the Monad where the self and the outer world as a “sphere of consciousness” are an expansion and extension of the same mind and idea; and in the Law of the Dyad or Vesica Pisces (called the womb of reality), which is produced as the regeneration and projection of the Monad to create the “illusion” of the Self as another. These two primary laws reveal the true nature of reality where the outer world is created as corresponding reflection and projection of the inner world. Where we’re always entering into relationship with ourselves (same consciousness) in everything around us, and creating a joint reality as an “experience of our self in another”. The illusion of separation from our self is necessary in order to create an experience our self.

The Illusion of Duality and the Birth of the Ego and Shadow

       The Soul creates the outer, material world by dividing itself into both conscious (masculine) and unconscious (feminine)aspects or parts. This occurs naturally in childhood when we’re taught to judge ourselves in the same way we were judged by others. As we judge ourselves to be good or bad, a division takes place where we reject, repress all the parts of our nature that we deem bad or wrong. As we judge and reject parts of ourselves, we deny having them (even to ourselves) and refuse to express them,and suppress them instead, eventually losing memory of them because we don’t create memories where we’re being that way. As we condemn and deny some parts,we simultaneously compare and contrast them with what we’ve also judged as being good aspects of an opposing nature, that are the opposite of the bad ones, and we accept and embrace them by expressing them, and as a result, build an “image of ourselves” out of only acceptable parts.

       Through the process of self-judgment we form two aspects of our nature that exist in direct opposition to each other.We birth what we call our “shadow and ego” through opposing ends of the same act. Our shadow we deny having and ultimately forget about, and our ego is formed out of only the good and desirable parts of us that we openly and freely express outwardly to create our experiences of ourselves as being good, right,desired, loved, admired, and so on. Yet all of the denied and forgotten aspects still exist and are alive within us in an active and creative state, and form an inherent part of our outer environment and our perception of others and the world in general. Because we forgot we had them, we don’t recognize them as being a part of us (our mind), and we judge others who are outwardly expressing those traits in the same way we judged ourselves, and we make them out to be “bad people” in some way.

       As we create a “false image” of ourselves that’s only fashioned out of acceptable parts, we stay locked into an illusion of our own making. While we say that the ego is created by building an image of ourselves out of only material ideas, we can state it more accurately by saying that we create an idea of ourselves out of only part of our nature,and exist in a fragmented (separated) state as a result. We act to maintain only a partial awareness of our true nature, and build our identity out of an illusion we’ve created of ourselves instead. Our material reality, in the ultimate sense, is an illusion created by our “whole mind” of both conscious and unconscious material, and provides us with the means for recognizing unconscious aspects of ourselves being projected onto others. Once we realize this we can become aware that the outer world and others are merely reflecting back to us unknown aspects of our self, and anytime we’re judging and reacting to someone or something, we can turn inward and self-reflect instead, and gain new forms of self-awareness.

       Because the shadow and ego oppose each other, meaning one can’t exist without the other, by becoming aware of our shadow nature, and integrating it into “acceptable aspects of ourselves” we act to simultaneously undermine and transform our ego through the conscious incorporation of rejected parts. This results in what we experience as a form of “death” (of our false image), and therefore causes the ego to retaliate and defend itself by working consciously to maintain the shadow, and thereby sustaining the illusion its created of itself as being a certain type of person.

        This is why all “true healing” is centered on dissolving judgment and forgiving others who we’ve imagined were hurting or harming us in some way. This is the basis for the true reality of the fact that all judgment of others is really a judgment we hold against ourselves. That what we perceive as being “done to us by another” is actually something we’re doing to ourselves and comes by way of projecting unconscious aspects of ourselves onto others. We judge others in the same way we judge ourselves, and once we understand this, we can see it for the psychological tool it offers as the means for recognizing aspects of ourselves that remain hidden from us.

       By recognizing the laws involved for producing reality, we can realize that anytime we’re having an adverse reaction as a strong judgment against another that it’s really providing us with a mirror into our own unconscious content.With deep self-reflection we can gain awareness and insight around how we “acted on ourselves” to fragment and divide ourselves in order to produce an illusion based on partial aspects that serve to create a “false illusion” as our perception of ourselves. Because what we call higher planes are “whole and unified in nature”, we can only ascend into them once freed from the body of illusion, by acting on ourselves to heal and return ourselves to a “whole state of Being”that no longer creates itself out of an illusion. Even though we deny parts of ourselves and lack awareness of them, they’re still an inherent and active part of our nature and continue creating our reality. In order to partake in the reality of higher planes we have to fully utilize our ability to create ourselves and our life from a fully conscious state.

Personal Transformation and a Return to Wholeness

       For this reason, the whole basis of ascension to higher, unified realms of existence is based on the practice of Alchemy as Personal Transformation from a partial state to a whole state. This is the Law as realization that we possess the higher powers of self-awareness that enables us to “act on ourselves to transform ourselves” back into a whole,and therefore “pure” state. The most natural way we heal, restore balance, and transform is by bringing what’s creating our reality in an unconscious manner into conscious awareness, where by owning and embracing it, we integrate it back into our Self and our identity. Once we realize the judgments we’ve placed on ourselves that kept us unconscious and living in the shadow of our own life,and integrate them to form a new whole, we’re capable of ascending to a higher state where wholeness and unity is the very foundation out of which “reality”is created as a natural expression and projection of a fully conscious and self-aware state.

       Once we heal all the fragmented and broken parts of our Self, bringing them back into a whole and harmonious state,and no longer pass judgment on our Self in others, our experience of outer reality changes accordingly. We can only ascend to a unified state by creating it while in the lower material plane of duality. As long as we continue to perceive ourselves out of a partial awareness of our own nature, we will remain in this plane, which is providing us with the means to recognize our true nature and fully embrace it in a congruent way. The material world simply provides us with the means of creating as a form of self-expression that shows us the content of our whole mind, giving us the tools as Laws for perfecting ourselves by healing unconscious aspects of our own inner nature that’s acting to produce our perception of what appears to be an “outer world” that’s separate from our own mind.

Waking up and becoming Self-Aware within the Dream

       The idea of “waking up” in your own life is the full realization that you’re actually the one creating it. All of it. In the ultimate sense there is no duality and nothing exists apart from our perception of it. Things are only the way they are because we make them out to be that way by how we create our experiences of them. Things only mean what we make them mean. As we perceive and judge another, we’re perceiving and judging ourselves “in and through them”. What we imagine to be outside of us is the expression and projection of what’s inside of us. Whatever we’re doing to another, we’re actually doing to ourselves. We’re always on both the giving and receiving end of the same judgments and illusions. This forms the basis for the eternal and Absolute Law of Karma. We always suffer the consequences of our own actions, because in fact, there’s only one of us.

       We’re given the Laws that reveal the true nature of reality as a product of our mind in what’s represented as Sacred Geometry as the Tetrad, and in Spiritual (Esoteric) Sciences as the Tetragrammaton as the “four letter name of God” as IHVH (or YHVH). The Tetrad is formed out of the Monad as the Self and outer reality of the Mind, that “regenerates itself” by separating and projecting itself to create the illusion of another (Dyad), then enters into relationship with itself as another, forming an inner reality in the imagination (Triad) that’s then reflected downward and outward,forming the basis for the outer material world, represented by the Tetrad. What we perceive as a series or group of Laws, are actually produced by the One primal Law of the Mind (mentation). Both the inner (triad) and outer (mirror image of the Triad) are produced by the same mind as its constitution,represented by a square or cube. The Mind (5th Element) acts to organize and structure the Four Elements of the material plane into a “reality”that’s actually “imaginary in nature” and can be altered or transformed by first altering and transforming the Mind that’s producing it as a perception of Itself.

       What we refer to as the Ten Primary Laws of Creation, or Seven Principles of Hermetic Sciences are the fundamental Laws of the Mind that act to produce what we experience as the “reality of the material plane”. These Laws provide us with not only a description of the true Nature of reality, but also “instructions” for how to use our own mind in order to create reality, and simultaneously create our Self by way of that reality.Laws are the creative and operative forces that govern all reality as the creative processes of the Mind and provide us with the means for self-realization and the means for acting on ourselves to transform ourselves.We know when our inner world has been transformed by how it changes our perception of the outer world and how we experience it, because they’re a direct and opposite reflection of each other. Once we truly relinquish judgment of ourselves in others, we’re able to experience compassion where we can become one with another and see life from their perspective without judging them as being good or bad, or right and wrong, and simultaneously return our Soul back to a state of wholeness and purity.

Acquiring Higher Knowledge: Condition, State, and Quality of Consciousness – Drawing Down Energy into our Mental Sphere

We now know that the consciousness associated with the brain that serves to operate it isn’t produced by the physical organ itself, but the brain (all material bodies) merely act as a “receiver” and transducer for consciousness which exists in its potential form in the atmosphere around us, also known as the ether, Astral Plane, Akashic Field, Quantum Plenum, and the Unified Field of intelligence. We actually act to “absorb” thoughts and ideas from the universal mind of the collective unconscious, rather than actually being the one “producing them”, as many believe. We also act to absorb the thought-forms of others in a parallel manner, which also populate the astral plane around us as the instinctual field of the subconscious mind that are of the same nature as we are through a subliminal form of telepathy. The brain, heart, and body itself only contains and possesses the consciousness it serves as a vehicle for by first absorbing it through various forms of suggestion and intuition that it then develops into a unique version of reality by continuing to think about it while picturing it in the mind’s eye, forming it into an imaginary reality as the basis for a personal creation. What we refer to as the “body’ consciousness” operates out of memory and it’s only creative capacity is by way of using memory as a thematic blueprint or template for creating material forms of the same nature. It lacks originality and individuality and is developed through conditioning as a form of training that establishes the personality as a mental paradigm or mental sphere of consciousness as a vibratory frequency, that it continues creating out of in a natural and repetitive manner.

State of Mind In order to acquire, absorb, or “call” energetic entities as ideas into our sphere of consciousness, we have to create the conditions in which that consciousness naturally exists. We have to create the conditions as a vibratory state that’s equivalent to it, which is what allows it to be drawn into our mental sphere through resonance and sympathetic induction. If we don’t exist as the same state of mind and level or quality of consciousness, we don’t resonate with it and we can’t become a vehicle or medium for it to manifest within us as our very own thoughts and feelings. This is true not only for the energies as qualities of consciousness (memories) that naturally inhabit the material plane that we experience as emotional states that appeal to us and bring out in us complementary traits and characteristics, but also in regards to higher planes which are predominately archetypal in nature and provide us with distinct patterns for embodying as a way of “becoming” like them. In the spiritual, invisible, energetic realm of subtle energy, the primary principles that are always operating is the Law of Mentalism, Law of Correspondences, and the Law of Vibration, all of which go hand in hand as extensions of each other and provide the means of manifesting within the material plane through the proper energy and moving energies necessary to manifest as qualities between parallel planes that together form a cohesive and coherent reality. As a soul within a material body, we can only act to acquire or draw in and absorb energy that’s of the same or similar vibration as we are. In order to draw in a select and desired energy as a quality that we don’t already possess in its active state, we have to align ourselves with and create the mental, emotional, and physical conditions that it naturally exists in or that are of the conditions of that dimension, and thereby “resonate with it”. The energies of the upper and lower planes, commonly referred to as nature spirits, angels, demons, jeni, and so on, which can also be thought of as the Elements and natural forces that have creative potential and are “singular in nature” and perform distinct operations inherent in that quality faithfully without distortion. Humans are composite beings that are multidimensional in nature and possess and actively employ multiple qualities and characteristics of all planes in which it’s a part. We all have the ability to intentionally develop ourselves by choosing what qualities we align ourselves with and actively employ as the means of being able to perform the operations and behaviors that naturally ensue from that quality. Whatever and however we’re “being” as a quality of consciousness or state of mind, determines what we’re doing and how we’re acting. All actions as an expression of consciousness create realities on the material plane.

Archetypes and the Gods of Creation The energies of a still higher plane, the Akashic field of universal memory, entities exist that are of a complex nature just as we are. These entities are archetypes, which have historically been referred to as the “gods”. An archetype exists as a “whole idea” that involves multiple qualities as a formula or dynamic that has a certain type of personality and character traits, an identity as a specific type of person prone to play a certain type of role and be ideal for acting out a certain type of story as a form of theme. Archetypes from these higher planes form the basis for all human development, and we are not only born into this world as a dynamic formula of multiple archetypes (zodiac birth chart), but we “are” an archetype ourselves. We embody and live out of a dominant archetype as a unique variation formulated by our souls ability to access, select, and draw in (embody) the archetypes of its choice and actively expressing those qualities as the means of creating ourselves by developing those same qualities to various degrees as a natural part of our personality and identity. The gods of antiquity was a mythology that provided us with a kind of menu as to what was possible and available for practical use based on our nature and desire for “how we want to be”. We all resonate and feel an affinity for certain types of characters and heavily relate to certain types of stories that naturally result from the expression of certain ways of being. The gods of mythology represent archetypes as a way of being that provide us with a model that we can choose with precision and actively employ as a means of intentionally developing ourselves to be of a similar nature. We can only really embody and know how to bring a way of being into expression by imitating what’s being modeled and demonstrated for us. Archetypes are characters that are whole in nature as complex dynamic beings that provide us with a template to practice out of. They possess a certain combination of qualities in varying degrees that make up their character. By stepping into and practicing “being like” an archetype, we activate and bring out those same qualities in ourselves. Naturally by imitating we don’t become just like them, but we create a unique version of the same idea, or incorporate new qualities into our existing character that expand our range of expression. If we have a desire to be more courageous and less prone to fear, for example, we choose and embody an archetype or god that is the full expression of fearless courage. We can study them, get a feel for their personality, and how they feel, think, and perceive things, what perspective they take, how they hold and conduct themselves, and just through imitating and being like them in body, posture, and behavior, we tap into and access the same consciousness and way of perceiving ourselves. Physiology forms a direct correspondence with state of mind, which corresponds with a distinct way of feeling and thinking. Thought, feeling, emotion, and action or behavior is “always” aligned with each other. So just be employing the same behaviors we adjust our state of mind to match it, creating a new experience of ourselves, and we begin perceiving in new ways. We gain a new sense of ourselves through our behaviors and ways of conducting ourselves that we then become associated and identified with, and through repetitive practice, it becomes a natural way of being. We’re not meant to “worship” the gods of mythology (or religion) as many have been led to believe, but rather use them as tools for self-development.

Becoming One with our Higher Self In a similar manner we can also connect to our Higher Self, which is what most are actually referring to when they think of God (as a person or entity), which exists on a higher plane and acts to guide and direct us through an internal voice while also orchestrating the events of our life based on karma and what we “ask for” through our thoughts and intention, and is also a constant companion to us. Our Higher Self is also commonly referred to as our Holy Guardian Angel, and is the part of us that remains fully within a higher plane and never manifests (blends with material substance) in the lower plane, and remains unaffected by magnetic forces (emotions) of the lower regions of the Astral Plane. It exists in a natural and unbiased state and doesn’t respond or even necessarily seem to acknowledge our emotional states, passions, and instinctual urges, and guides us instead through pure reasoning and absolute clarity that’s always taking into account the big picture of which we are commonly unaware of. By forming a connection with our Higher Self, through deep feelings of reverence, trust, and devotion, and committing whole-heartedly and sincerely to our souls development (which is its only concern), and we invite (ask) our Higher Self to come into us and be the consciousness we “look through” as the means of acquiring a more accurate and objective perspective and perception, we act to “pull down” the energy by consciously embodying it. We blend with it and become one in awareness. We can only do this consistently by creating ourselves (body and mind) to be of an equivalent nature to our Higher Self. This means we have to purify ourselves of toxic emotions and the illusions born out of them, and not be subject to emotional states and the emotional projections of others. We have to cleanse ourselves of our emotions, passions for material pleasure, and be able to willfully resist compulsive urges (instinctual behaviors). As long as we exist as the equivalent of the lower, unconscious plane of animal instinct, driven by emotions, reactive behaviors, and passions, we can’t act as the vessel for higher energies, because these things don’t exist on higher planes (only lower planes of an unconscious nature), and so the conditions don’t correspond and aren’t appropriate. The higher mind is willful in nature and isn’t affected or “controlled” by the emotions intended to produce automatic behaviors. So anytime we’re looking to acquire new qualities and ways of being, we have to recognize the natural conditions as the atmosphere that quality, entity, or archetype naturally exists in, and create the same conditions in our mental sphere through gaining rapport with it. By becoming like it as a state of mind. We have to “become” through an act of awareness, choice, and will, of the same nature. We have to vibrate at a similar rate in order to be able to draw it in or absorb it by resonating with it. Once we absorb it, embody and become one with it, it activates those same qualities within us and we’re able to express through them. Once forces become active within us and we’re able to express ourselves through them by becoming them, we create experiences as them, sense our self through those experiences, associate and identify with our own experiences, absorb them as memory, and through an accumulative process of consistent practice, they become a natural part of us. They become fully integrated into our mental sphere and built into our muscle. We begin employing them automatically as a natural part of our being. Once this is accomplished, we no longer need the entity or archetype, and we can release it back into the sphere from which it came.

       This is an important step many fail to recognize and do intentionally. The only purpose of an entity or quality that performs a certain function in a specific way is to stimulate, awaken, make active, and bring out in us that same quality, characteristic, and behavior or activity. It’s not meant to take up permanent residence within us where it can begin taking on a life of its own as a form of alter-ego. Once the desired result is achieved and obtained as a permanent part of our character, just as we consciously invoked and embody it, we have to thank it sincerely for the service it provided, then instruct it to leave by ushering it out of our body and back into the atmosphere and universe where it can continue to be of service to others. This rule applies to every aspect except our Higher Self of course, which always exists as a fundamental part of us and our connection with it is eternal and nourishing in nature. It doesn’t offer qualities and archetypal personalities for us to embody and acquire, but rather exists as a neutral state of being that always acts to inform, advise through awareness, and instruct us without ever making decisions for us or imposing its will on us in a way that overrides our own ability to make decisions for ourselves.  All self-creation is our full responsibility and comes by way of what we choose and ask for and what we willfully bring about through our actions.

       The easiest and most basic way to tell the difference between true “guiding forces” of a higher nature (some call spirit guides, angels, teachers, etc.) and those of a lower nature (emotions, passions, urges, impulses, etc.) is that Divine forces NEVER violate choice and free will, tell you what to do, or make decisions for you. They only act to educate, inform through increased awareness, and bring insights and realizations that reveal new choices and possibilities, increasing and expanding your ability to choose. Lower forces can only express by taking control of or commanding your will through emotional states and passions of various sorts that when allowed to take hold, can easily run your thoughts and make decisions for you as impulses, desires, passions, emotional reactions, and physical urges. All forces, whether celestial or terrestrial, only have the ability to “influence you” and can’t actually make decisions for you. They have no will of their own, which is what’s required in order to step outside of instinct or a singular nature that’s a part of a collective unconscious, and make new decisions that require original thought that produces new behaviors and ways of being. Only humans have this ability within the creative realms. This is our “God given ability to create” that makes us capable of governing all of the natural forces that partake in the material world as a means of being fully responsible for our own creation. We have the ability to utilize these natural forces as the means of creating and creating ourselves by way of our own creations, but we have to not only realize that we do, but also know “how to do it”. Otherwise the creative forces of the material plane use us to create through and we become a product of unconscious instinct that’s determined by our animal nature instead of our higher Divine nature. Archetypes as Laws and Principles that Provide Tools for Personal Transformation

In order to gain an understanding of how archetypes work in our psychological make-up, we have to start by defining what an archetype is. An archetype is what’s used in the most primary sense to illustrate or represent natural principles and laws. An archetype represents a kind of prototype, universal template, or ideal that we use for creating in every aspect of our life. As multidimensional, multifaceted beings, our personality and psychological make-up is comprised of universal archetypes that we share with all of humanity, represented by the zodiac and the ancient gods of Mythology. An archetype as a principle is represented as an “idea” or “being” that has certain types of attributes, qualities and characteristics, that form its basic personality giving it a natural disposition, temperament, perspective and “type” or kind of behaviors that naturally lend themselves to telling a certain type of story as it’s “identity”.

Our basic psychological make-up as our personality is formed by the twelve universal (everyone has them) archetypes of the zodiac as personality traits in varying degrees and aspects that are composed into a “formula” as our primary “state of consciousness”.  As we go out into the world and begin participating in co-creating reality, this state of consciousness as our personality acts to predetermine and form our “identity” as the roles we naturally cast ourselves in or take on, and the type of story we tell by how we express our character traits and live our life. In order to change the character traits that make up our personality and identity, we have to work by way of principles as archetypes.

The ultimate form of transformation as self-development, doesn’t come by changing individual or select behaviors, habits, or tendencies, though it can be in the ordinary sense, but rather by working with attributes and qualities that form new characteristics. By evolving characteristics that form our personality and have natural behaviors inherent in them as a “way of being”, we naturally produce new experiences that give us a new and different “sense of ourselves”, that simultaneously produces a new kind of reality as the story we naturally begin telling through our newly acquired perceptions and behaviors. “Being” always produces “doing”, and doing results in physical manifestation.

       To work through principles says that the way to change how something or someone functions and performs, and the reality they create through the story they naturally tell as a result, is to work with their character and nature to alter, modify and reformulate its inherent properties and elements. By adjusting and modifying the qualities one expresses through, we change the entire operation. So instead of trying to change one aspect within a whole, natural operation, often without ever identifying what attribute is ultimately causing it, you work instead to adjust the inner nature as their character, and let the changes that ensue from it naturally take place. Then evaluate them to determine if or what other attributes need to be adjusted, until it naturally acts to produce the change you want. All change ultimately comes in a natural and permanent manner by changing the character of the person forming the behaviors that you desire to change. All other methods may solve a specific application or instance, but the behavior and tendency itself will continue to play out in others ways.

What’s referred to in Alchemy as the “chemical marriage”, comes through coupling, combining, and assimilation of its equal and complementary opposite. Transformation takes place by mingling, blending, and combining contradictory opposites to form a new whole. By returning what is fixed and dead to a fluid and growing state. When we assume habitual qualities that make up our character and nature, and fail to grow in the essential sense of our inner self, we become as dead matter, measured only by quantity and proportion. We stagnate and begin living a life of routine and dogma, performing the same rituals day after day in an automatic way, and begin living out of the same mindset telling ourselves the same story day in and day out.

When we stop growing, learning, and becoming something new and different in each moment, we begin the process of withering and dying. All behaviors and habits are merely the expression of established and well-practiced qualities that make up our character. So the way to change a habit, specific behavior, or tendency, isn’t to work directly with it in the practical sense of breaking a pattern to form a new one, but rather by identifying what part of your nature is producing that behavior as a natural expression and working through the law of sympathy and antipathy to modify it. It’s only by changing our inner nature somehow that we change our outer expression as our reality.

Qualities exist as attributes that are polar in nature as complementary opposites that form extremes of each other, with a gradient scale between them as degrees. We seldom ever fall exclusively on one side or the other, but rather somewhere in between, and express in favor of one extreme or the other under different circumstances. Many behavioral tendencies come more as a dynamic and interactive combination of qualities that must be worked with as groups or complementary clusters rather than as singular in nature, although often what is spurned as a quality actually results from a “core or parent” quality, which, when transformed, changes all offspring produced by it systematically.

For example, jealousy and envy, whose opposite is admiration and trust, may be the offspring of self-doubt, lack of confidence, and low self-worth, and until this is addressed and transformed, the jealousy won’t go away. At best it’ll be repressed and subdued or corrected (seemingly) in one situation, while still existing as a tendency and natural perception in any other situation that warrants it, because what’s “causing it” hasn’t been changed. Once self-worth has been transformed into a healthy state of confidence, self-love and admiration, the tendency towards jealousy in all areas dissipates and is no longer apart of personal awareness and feelings. In other words, the person no longer feels that way in situations that used to warrant a deep feeling of jealousy and envy.

To breed confidence in place of being timid and feeling unsure of yourself requires working with believing in yourself, trusting yourself, and honoring your uniqueness. Just trying to correct the behavior itself by telling them (or yourself) to not be timid or afraid, or by making them feel bad somehow for being that way, not only doesn’t transform it, but can in fact compound and exaggerate it, making it even worse. Qualities as our inner nature and personality form an interactive model as a cluster of qualities that have been developed through an active and expressive state to produce our experiences. We form beliefs about and around ourselves and others through the active expression of innate qualities being brought out in us through the dynamics, conditions, and life situations we grew up in, that served to establish our initial personality as traits and characteristics we naturally possess and outwardly express as adults.

       All of these well-developed qualities have their complementary opposites, which also exist within us in a latent state, and can be used in a strategic manner to transform them. We simply have to realize it, form a desire and intention to perfect ourselves, and use our will creatively to transform our character into new habits. We “become” whatever we form a habit of. By intentionally working to develop ourselves by embodying and acting out counteractive qualities, and practicing “being that way”, we change how we feel, how we “sense ourselves”, and how we feel about ourselves. For example, just by changing our posture from a slumped one to an erect one, back straight, head held up high, making eye contact, all characteristics of “confident behavior”, we actually feel more confident. As we feel more confident, we create an experience of ourselves as “being” confident, and we start acting that way more and more, until it becomes a natural part of who we are in the most ordinary sense.

        All qualities have a state-of-mind and physiological characteristics associated with them. By becoming an actor in our own life, so to speak, we can imagine the state-of-mind out of which confidence would be the result, and by employing the behaviors and postures that communicate and demonstrate confidence, and “become” confident as a result. We can actively choose to embody that state and quality of being, and act it out as a means of expressing ourselves in some situation, as the basis for creating an experience of ourselves in that manner. If we feel we don’t know how to be, feel, and act confident, we can find someone that we consider confident and self-assured, study them to see what they’re attitude, frame of mind, physiology (the way they hold themselves, gestures, facial expressions, voice tone and quality, etc.), and how they act, then we can model them by “pretending” to be the same way. Just like when we were kids and we developed ourselves by pretending to be just like our favorite characters. This whole process of self-development is natural to us as children when we’re in the natural state of creating ourselves using our imagination, but we tend to lose it as we become adults. As adults, we’ve established patterns and instead of taking an attitude of “creating new memories”, we begin simply living out of the memories already created in a repetitive fashion, feeling and being the same way over and over, creating the same type of experiences in the present as in the past.

While the subconscious mind, which forms our personality, is habitual in nature, working to create and behave in an automatic fashion based on memory as habits, it’s also passive and receptive in nature, lacking a will of its own, and can be directed by the conscious mind to employ new qualities, behave in new ways according to those qualities, and form new memories that will become new habits as a natural way of being. We don’t need to go through years of therapy in an attempt to try and resolve or understand our story about things and what happened to us, and why we became the way we are. All we have to do is realize as adults we still have the ability to create ourselves in any way we want to by simply detaching from the past and our story about it, deciding what aspects of ourselves we want to grow and transform into something better and greater, set the intention to do so, then begin the work of practicing in a disciplined manner to become it.

       We can bring what’s in a fixed and established state back into a fluid and growing state. We can realize who we’ve become up to this point, and who we want to be instead, or in moving forward to continue the process of actively developing ourselves. We see ourselves and our life as a “work in progress” of continuous and never-ending growth. Not as “being” a certain way, but as a continuous state of “becoming”. We can decide what story we want to tell by how we live our life, and what “kind” of person we have to become in order to do that. We can move outside of the mindset that says we’re always determined by other people, by how they act and treat us, or by what situations we found ourselves in or acted unknowingly to create, and begin taking an attitude instead of being responsible for our own development and who we become by way of our own willful decisions and actions. We can disconnect from all the memories and illusions of the past, be present in the moment, and become aware of ourselves in terms of how and who we’re being, and “in that awareness”, actively choose how we’re going to be, regardless of others and what’s happening around us.

We can detach from our emotional connection to others that keep us constantly affected by and responding to them, reside apart from them as our own person, and choose how we’re going to interact accordingly. We’re only affected by people because as children in our “formative years”, only our subconscious was fully developed and dominantly active and we were constantly taking in the suggestions and attitudes of others and using them to shape ourselves in relation with them. This tendency becomes established as a way of self-development, so that even when the self-conscious aspect of the mind develops to the point of being active and dominate as our awareness, which has the ability to judge and decide what to let in or keep out, we still act to develop in an unconscious manner. Once we develop a conscious mind, which separates us from our parents and others, and gives us the ability to think for ourselves, discriminate and reason, and act based on choice and will to give suggestions to our own subconscious mind as a way of self-development instead of other-development, we have the ability to become self-determined.

The problem is, by the time we’ve become adults it’s become a habit as an automatic process of stimulus – response, action – reaction, and we don’t realize that we now have a will and can act independent of others in determining our own psychological makeup. We can finally realize that who others are, how they’re being towards us, and what they think of us has nothing to do with us, unless we let it by engaging through a reactive like-response. As soon as we realize this, break the unconscious emotional connection, and see ourselves as a part from others, where their behavior and attitude no longer produces a reaction in us, we step into our true power to decide in every moment who and how we’re going to be, then acting it out as an experience of ourselves.

Summary:

All transformation comes as an “inside job”. It comes through transforming the qualities that make up our character that naturally produce all of our perceptions and behaviors as a natural way of being that serve to tell a story of some kind. We don’t transform by addressing specific behaviors, but rather by working with the personality traits and character that act to naturally produce them as a tendency. By changing our “core” or kernel, we change how it expresses outwardly and what it acts to create through behaviors and deeds of some sort. Archetypes are tools for transformation because they provide us with a dynamic system of what qualities and personality traits produce what type of behaviors that naturally perform a stylized operation as a thematic story-line.

All qualities exist in polarity, with a wide range of degrees and variances in between, and all qualities can be modified by employing their opposite and contradictory aspect. All vibration as a pattern is altered by coupling with a similar, yet variable pattern of the same nature, where different degrees of the same quality are being expressed, that allows it to acquire and take on new attributes. We train and condition ourselves to new ways of being by modeling the qualities necessary until they become a natural part of us. Whatever we pretend to be, we become. Pretending and playacting is the key to personal transformation and developing your character in a natural and deliberate way.

The Initiate and the Principle for Ascension – Qualities, Higher Capacities, and Faculties of an Initiate

While the idea of ascension to what we call “higher dimensions” (those of the Heavenly realm) is a term used quite loosely and somewhat frivolously in our new age society, it has been the goal and devoted life path of the Initiate since antiquity. This is the original idea around the priesthood of all Spiritual Sciences before it became corrupted, laid to ruins, and ultimately lost to the vulgar and profane. The reason the Magical Sciences reside in what we commonly think of as secrecy and mystery, is because, in their most fundamental form they’re incomprehensible and unattainable to the untutored, and even when discovered in what could be considered a comprehensible format, they’re often grossly misinterpreted, robbing them of any actual value, and therefore misused in the most basic sense.

Magical Sciences are written and pictured in symbolic terms that require an in-depth working knowledge of several major scientific systems in order to be interpreted correctly. This provides a kind of fail-safe system for preventing the information from getting in the wrong hands, and customizes the knowledge to the individual discerning it, making it ideal for their growth and intended application. All knowledge of the Spiritual Sciences is a “living creative force” that exists in a primarily potential state, forever morphing and evolving, and like the laws that comprise it, is interpreted in a unique way each time it’s comprehended and utilized by an individual to create within their own life somehow. The only Absolute Truth in Spiritual Sciences is the Universal Laws themselves, which while steadfast and unchanging, are creative in nature, and each time utilized form a unique variation as a material manifestation.

The other aspect of this Sacred Knowledge that makes it largely unattainable by the profane is that it requires a “vessel” that’s of a well-developed mental, emotional, physical, and moral state. Knowledge, like all things, exists as a frequency that can only be “drawn in”, absorbed and integrated by what’s of the same frequency. We can only truly “perceive” and therefore grasp and comprehend in everything else what’s of the same nature and pattern as we are in terms of our mental “paradigm”. Our paradigm is the energetic structure of our mind (electromagnetic energy field of information as coherent memory) that not only “informs us” and makes up our constitution, but is also the “lens we look through” in order to comprehend the outside world to be of the same nature as we are. In order to act as a recipient of higher knowledge or information, we have to develop ourselves to be of a higher nature also, possessing the same qualities and traits, in order to act as an appropriate and equivalent channel for that “type” of information to flow into, rise up in our imagination as our own thoughts, providing us with a template of a potential reality that forms the basis for all of our behaviors as a primary form of self-expression and our natural way of being.

The path of Initiation is not for the fainthearted or those looking for an easy way out or to somehow use it in terms of the archetype it represents as a way of embellishing their ego and enhancing a glorified self-image. Many think of it as a sort of romantic idea of valor, honor, and adventure into the unknown, which of course it is, yet the true reality of it is that you’re constantly being pushed past your perceived limitations and unconscious programming in every moment of your everyday life. It’s not an exercise program you do for 10 minutes, 3 times a day, and no one watches over you to make sure you do it and stay on task. It requires extreme forms of discipline in every area of your life in order to detach from all material forms of gratification, and create yourself as a neutral vehicle within the material realm that can’t be influence, affected, or altered by it.

We live in a society that’s bred and conditioned to be weak-willed, spoiled to mindless and impulsive addictions that offer the illusion of security and physical comfort as convenient pleasure of some kind that will medicate your problems, hopefully making them bearable, and the constant distraction of passive and meaningless entertainment that keeps us focused on things that don’t matter, where everything has to be delivered to us as “The 7 Easy Steps to . . . ”, where a kind of laundry list is given that sends the message “anyone can do this because it’s not hard”. Something that’s hard and requiring effort, self-sacrifice, or loss of some kind is to be avoided at all cost. You can’t “sell” hard, and there’s no money to be made if you can’t sell something to eager consumers who are looking to simply pass time by entertaining theory that allows them to contemplate and pretend while never actually engaging or doing.

We are conditioned to the idea of “easy solutions” to what amounts to a global crisis in consciousness when the reality is . . . it’ll be the hardest thing you ever do, and it will push you past every fear and limitation neatly secured and held in place by your comfort zone that you currently protect, defend and preserve passionately with the very nature of your thoughts, perceptions, and emotional tendencies. It’ll cause you to live your life on the edge of a precipice that resembles a bottomless pit, where you’re frantically clinging to security while being overwhelmed with a terrifying feeling you have no words to describe, taken back and somewhat stricken by an awkward and somewhat unexpected experience where you encounter parts of yourselves previously unknown that can overwhelm and consume you in the most ordinary moments of your everyday life. It changes your orientation from an outward focus and awareness to an inward one. Your awareness of the true nature of things takes on a heightened and pronounced sense that leads you into deeper worlds that previously existed only as a vague impression and alluring mystery that was unknown and unrealized. A magical world that once you tune into it and begin engaging by becoming one with it, like a lover, its intimacy magnetic and alluring, draws you forever into it with a sense of fascination, wonder and awe. You enter into a kind of magical current that flows along in an effortless manner where you lose all sense of yourself as being apart from it.

Once enthralled in the deep sense of inner-connectedness and intimate love, enveloped by an all-pervading sense of peace and inner calm, a kind of contentment pervades us and we vow complete and utter devotion to it. We form a bond that becomes our very source and substance, the inner-well that we draw on to nourish our soul and carry us through the most trying of moments. We are never again alone, never forsaken or abandoned; we form a partnership with a higher part of ourselves in order to redeem ourselves of the consequences we drawn upon us by incorrect perceptions, distorted thinking, bad decisions, and destructive deeds born out of ignorance, so we can clean up our mess and eventually go home. All of life is an arduous journey back to our origins as divine beings that are of a compassionate and loving nature, no longer vested in immoral illusions of worldly events and dramatic delusions being played out in a blind and uninhibited manner by those infected with the insanity of lust, greed, and power.  A realization of our true nature, detaching from the false illusion of our material identity, and resuming our place in the grand scheme of things as spiritual leaders of a universal sovereignty, which through mastery of the elements, work only in every situation for the benefit of all involved, uncorrupt and untainted by a personal agenda designed to meet a material need.

 

Understanding, Honoring, and Properly Utilizing the Power of Words

The first and most pervasive idea that needs to be fully embodied through a deep sense of realization as to its actual importance is the power of the spoken word. Words are spoken both inwardly as our very thoughts, and outwardly as our speech and acts as a form of invocation that stimulates and plants the seed of the thought in other people’s minds so that the reality they naturally invoke in the imagination become a form of joint creation. The saying “I think therefore I am” may be more accurately stated as “As I think I become the reality of my thoughts”. We self-create by way of our own thinking by calling forth (forming a perception of) the reality of our thoughts that we then use to create an experience of ourselves in relationship to our own creation. The “word” is creative because it calls forth in the imagination the image, form, and reality as the meaning of the word. The reality we form in our mind’s eye becomes the perceptual lens as a filtering system we “look through” in order the reshape the outer reality to mean the same thing as a correlation to the inner reality.

All actions of what we call “spirit” is creative in nature, and creates through will as speaking the words that shape the internal image of the form inherent in the words that becomes the template as a lens for producing the material equivalent as a perception of it. Because of this feature, words, spoken first inwardly, then outwardly are a form of self-fulfilling prophecy. What we talk about and profess as being the nature of our reality, meaning our experience of things, is exercising our creative power to produce the experience of our thoughts in whatever set of circumstances and conditions we find ourselves in by the story we tell ourselves and others about them. Intelligence, in its most primary state, is revelation and prophecy. “Being” is the principle, speech is its means, and the expression, development, and perfection of Being is the end result. To speak and imagine is to literally create as a willful act. The secret of the “will” lies in the imagination.

Thought as spoken words, when shaped in the imagination, casts and projects the image or reality as the meaning of the words into the “astral light” of the material plane of substance. This is the “substance” as “light essence” that the mind organizes into forms in the imagination. Any form that’s organized repetitively in a systematic way due to strong emotions being associated with it (astral plane is governed by the forces of emotion), forms into a permanent archetype as a memory that attracts, absorbs, and emanates and electromagnetic field as the “etheric body” of the form. The etheric body is comprised of a phantom-like liquid light that forms a hologram of the image and has a “self-organizing mechanism” inherent in it that attracts the elements of its fulfillment (can be used to structure it) from the immediate environment, organizing them into a greater reality of the same meaning and likeness that will generate more of the same “feelings and emotions” that produced it. This is the self-perpetuating aspect of vibration that’s infinite.

All outer reality is produced by the same pattern as the internal one being played out on a greater scale and level of complexity that serves to generate experiences of the same meaning and nature. It’s the meaning inherent in all of our experiences that’s the “creative component” as a common denominator. All “meaning” is the “personal aspect” of experience as our creative ability in (re)shaping the outer world. Every event that multiple people partake in, will have a different meaning for each one, and will shape how they each “experience” the event as a result. Meaning creates on 3 levels simultaneously and forms the basis as the theme for all of our stories. The meaning we give something, means something about the way other people are, the way the world is in general, and about us in relationship with it (and the creator of it). Whatever we form in our imagination as a cohesive part of our ongoing story and “type” of reality we act to naturally give rise to through our mental model, we cast into the astral light, and literally “request” as a form of prayer (imagined thought), which provides the “attraction factor” for magnetizing us to more of the same type of realities that will give us more of the same type of feelings.

Once we gain a deep realization and firm understanding of the truth and power of our own thoughts and what we outwardly speak, we have the tools and means to begin taking full responsibility for our life and self-creation by becoming aware of our own internal dialogue and the story we’re always in the process of telling ourselves about things that create our experience of them. This has historically been achieved through extended periods of silence where you resisted the urge to speak habitually in a thoughtless and meaningless manner, and self-reflected instead on your own unconscious motives and tendencies. The majority of our thoughts and behaviors run in an automatic fashion and are produced in a completely unconscious manner making us thoughtless and reckless creators within our own life. They’re unconscious, not in the sense that we don’t know what we’re saying or doing, but in the sense that we have no idea of what we’re actually doing in terms of “creating by way of our thoughts”. We mistakenly believe that our thoughts are describing our experience and what has happened to us in our life in an objective and factual manner, when in reality, they are the very means for how we’re producing those experiences through our perception and interpretation of them to form our story about them.

So one of the first principles that we have to master, is the ability to control and determine our own thoughts. We have to learn how to honor the power of words and begin thinking and speaking in a mindful and deliberate manner. We can learn to utilize the creative ability of thoughts that are imagined vividly coupled with intense emotions that make them very compelling, as the means of producing the reality of those thoughts. Through a form of intentional thinking and reasoning, we can create our experiences of reality as an interpretation that provides us with the memories that we use to shape ourselves in an intentional manner. By self-reflecting on our habitual thoughts we can become aware of what exists and has life within us as unconscious aspects of ourselves, and through the awareness and realization it brings, we can resolve them so they’re no longer active and creative in us.

 

Instinct – Passion and Prejudice

The lower plane of the material world consists of Astral Light which is a magnetic fluid that we experience as emotions and passions of various sorts, which are very compelling and grip us with a form of intensity that makes them hard to resist. This is the plane of “instinct” that governs the entire natural world through emotional reactions that produce impulsive and automatic behaviors without a thought-process being involved or required. Man, being both animal (body) and Divine (higher mind), is affected and deeply influenced by emotions, while simultaneously having the ability to think and perceive in a reasonable and rational manner. By utilizing the higher capacities of our mind we can willfully create in an intentional manner by taking hold of and directing our own thoughts and behavior.

Emotion, which is the language and motivating force of the material plane, is necessary in order to produce action of some sort. Thought as an idea in its potential (unformed) state, propagates from the higher plane of pure energy as invisible forces into the upper regions of the lower plane, casting its image into the light, impregnating it with the seed necessary to produce the “form of the idea” as an etheric shell that spirit as life-force can then inhabit in order to bring it to life. This life-force energy is the active force of the material plane experienced as sensation, arousal, and stimulation that produces emotional states of some sort that compel us into action as natural behaviors inherent in the emotions themselves. Whatever the emotion causes us to feel and imagine inwardly, whether pleasure or pain, expresses as the reality of the emotion by controlling our thoughts, and produces the outward correspondence of our imagined thoughts and serves to “give us” more of the same feeling.

If the reality is pleasurable and therefore desirable, it has a seductive quality that’s very luring and enticing, and causes us to think and imagine pleasurable experiences as the means of acquiring it. If the reality is painful, it invokes a deep sense of fear and defensiveness, which is equally gripping and serves to control the imagination to form the reality it implies as the experience of it. All emotional reactions whether good or bad in terms of why we’re reacting, are passionate in nature and act to control us in the most basic sense of governing and determining our thoughts and what we lend our will to through the mere act of entertaining them. To be “passionless” is equivalent to being emotionless, in the sense of not being controlled by emotional states or the emotions constantly being projected at us by others as a means of using their will to gain control of ours. When we’re expressing passions of some form, we’re literally being controlled by the emotional state of that passion. Whenever we “react” to something, we’re being influenced and controlled by it. That’s what a reaction is. We can only exercise “control over” what doesn’t “control us”.

If we’re constantly being controlled by emotional states of some sort, then we have no ability to maintain control over ourselves, and we are NOT an appropriate vessel for higher powers to operate through in a neutral and unbiased manner. Emotions distort and corrupt our thinking forming the basis of our perception of reality as a delusion of our own making, rather than as the perception of truth unmoved by animal instinct. When we reside largely in a reactive state produced by our emotions, we act without conscious and willful (deliberate) thought, and lend our will instead to whatever it is we’re reacting to. Any time we’re reacting we’re being controlled by the will of another or by an idea. All emotions are connected to our instinctual states and produce the illusion of the emotion as an imagined reality that’s used in place of the actual reality that acts to invoke automatic behavior in a knee-jerk and impulsive fashion.

As an Initiate, we can’t be enslaved by passions, worldly prejudices, and our own opinions. An Adept is a person who is fully self-created and achieved by active use of the will and the deeds that issue forth from will as the manifestation of will. Through this practice we employ our God-given ability to self-create by masterful use of our own mind to govern and direct the subconscious mind of the body which is always living out of memory of various sorts activated by the emotions associated with the memories that provide it with programs for producing automatic perceptions and behaviors that don’t require thought, active choice, or will to create in an intentional manner. We have to employ our higher creative capacities in order to become “God-like” and able to truly create within the material world rather than acting mindlessly to be created by it.

The Four Indispensable Conditions of the Magi

The main goal of the soul within the material world is to transcend it through willful acts of self-creation that ultimately master the Elements governing it. The soul is formed out of memory acquired through its own creative ability to manifest realities as a means of acquiring experiences of itself by way of its own creation. The Elements of the material plane, as we have already discussed, are primarily known as the natural forces that produce sensation, feelings, and emotions as an inner stimulus that causes the material reality inherent in that feeling as a seeded thought to rise up in the imagination where its shaped by astral light as a ghost-like substance into the reality of the feeling sensation that expresses it while simultaneously giving us more of the same feelings. The power of the Elemental world is to create experiences that become the basis for the souls “memory”, which shapes it in terms of its constitution, character, and identity, determining its evolution to higher or lower forms of expression.

We can only master the material world through an in-depth knowledge of the natural forces that govern and operate within it, a sense of fearlessness produced through the knowledge obtained, the ability to willfully direct it using our own mind, and the faith as a form of patience necessary to allow the time necessary for manifestation. What’s referred to as the “devil” or the “evil forces” of the material plane is the magnetic fluid that influences us through passions, emotions, and desire of some form. All of which are an attempt to “lead us into temptation” by surrendering our will with the promise of worldly delights and sensuous pleasures and allow ourselves to be shaped and determined by instinctual forces of the animal kingdom. Whatever we become like in thought, feelings, and behaviors, we bond our soul to in terms of the equivalent frequency, level and quality of consciousness, and morality. If we allow ourselves to be driven and controlled by instinctual passions and tendencies, then we equate ourselves with animals and become “animal-like” in nature. We forfeit our ability to decide what we allow into us to take hold and rise up in us as our reality, and we become determined by primal forces that feed off of our will while condemning our soul to a mortal life.

To ascend to higher planes of consciousness, four conditions have to be created: intelligence that’s illuminated by constant study (expanding and growing our ability to comprehend higher truths); a fearlessness that nothing can check (we’re not controlled by fear); a cast iron will that can’t be broken or negotiated away (determination and perseverance); and a prudence (purity) which nothing can corrupt or intoxicate. In the world of the Magi, this is known as the credo which is stated as: To know, to dare, to will, and to keep silent. These are inscribed in the four symbolic forms of the sphinx traditionally represented by the man, eagle, lion, and the bull, and also by the four Elements of water, air, fire, and earth. Through devoted study of spiritual sciences we acquire knowledge of the three worlds which provide us with the tools and means necessary to transcend it by gaining control over it through the virtue of our mind. It’s always a question of who’s doing the controlling. Are we controlling ourselves, or are we being controlled by another or an outside force?

Self-Knowledge and Realization

Knowing one’s self is the center, foundation, and first step in the application of spiritual knowledge to self-create. True self-knowledge comes through the realization that in every moment of our lives we are the one solely responsible for creating ourselves by way of creating our experiences of the outer world. While we can’t control what happens to us (necessarily) we can absolutely control how we choose to perceive it, what we focus on, what we tell ourselves about it that makes it mean something, and how we behave or respond as a result. As long as we are blown from one shore to another and jerked around like a puppet on a string, always in the midst of an emotional reaction, a delusion that robs us of our dignity by way of insanity, cleaving desperately to the identity we achieve through the thoughts and opinions of others laid down before us to blindly accept as truth, we are changeable, and through the Principle of Supreme Reason, become mortal.

To cleave invariably to reason, making ourselves unchangeable by the material forces and the will of others, we become independent of the forces that make use of our own will to change us, and become self-determined instead. We learn how to suffer with dignity, make self-sacrifices that ultimately serve our higher good, to refrain from all temptation designed to lead astray, and to die to what’s no longer a part of us. These are the secrets which when mastered, place us well beyond the reach of affliction, desires of the flesh, and of the fear of annihilation that comes from buying into a mortal existence. We become the master of mindless brutes as the instinctual forces of nature, not by fighting against them or arguing to justify their existence, but by subduing and taming them, otherwise we become a victim to them and serve as their slave. The material world as we know it has been laid out before us as a battlefield where depression and inertia struggles with justice and freedom in opposition of the active force. We can only reign over what we have first conquered in ourselves. Only those who have conquered and resolved the love of pleasure can truly know the pleasure of love.

To know yourself is to remain centered within your truth in even the most challenging of moments. It’s to be able to stand in opposition of those trying to overcome you by introducing self-doubt in order to gain control of your will. We can always know the true nature of others and the events of our life by what they serve to activate within us in relation and response to them, and call forth as an interaction. To be fearless is to not be affected by the subliminal methods used by others to introduce fear as a means of gaining control of your will. The easiest way to subdue and coerce is through tactics that cause fearful thoughts, or cause us to doubt ourselves in some way. Those who are well-studied and developed through daily practices are able to sense the nature and intention of the motive forces being projected and utilized, and respond to them as they are rather than through the illusion they pose under. To sense the truth through knowledge of the laws governing all of reality, is true power.

To work through self-knowledge is to always be in control of yourself with a clear mind and the knowledge of truth in every situation. It’s to never give up control of yourself to another or external forces of some kind, and to never lend your will to someone else, allowing them to control and determine you. It’s to constantly maintain a sense of sovereignty over yourself.  Self-knowledge and self-creation is the foundation of truth and wisdom and forms the basis out of which everything else comes. As creative and willful beings, we are the sole creators of ourselves and our world. Our mental paradigm forms our perception of the world and what appears “real to us”. When we truly know ourselves and always operate out of that self-awareness, we are truly incapable of being influenced and “changed” by the others and the material world, and as a result we step back into our true identity as eternal and immortal beings.

Emotions, Dynamics, and Reactive Behaviors – How we become Who and How we are

One of the easiest ways to understand how we become the way we are is to look at the natural relationship that exists between the inner and the outer, and between ourselves and another. We are all born into this world as a seeded inner core of qualities and characteristics that are “brought out in us” through interactions, relationships, and dynamics of some form as our formative conditioning (birth till around puberty) that form and establish our personality and natural tendencies that we continue creating out of throughout the remainder of our life in a purely unconscious and natural manner. As children, we don’t begin developing the ability to think and consciously make decisions for ourselves until around 10 to 14 years of age. We’re born into a fully active subconscious mind, which is passive (absorbs and processes outside information) and instinctual (automatic) in nature, emotionally driven, present in time, and “experiential” in nature. It doesn’t think in rational and logical terms (required to make decisions), but through pictures and scenarios as an experience. It’s fully present in the moment (no awareness of time), and isn’t distracted or consumed with thoughts of the past or future, like the conscious “talking mind”. It governs all of what we could call involuntary and some voluntary behaviors of the body through emotions and impulses of some sort, and based on suggestions given to it by other people.

In the most natural sense, we’re constantly being stimulated internally by everyone and everything around us. As we’re stimulated, it activates in us corresponding and complementary qualities that are of the same nature, bringing them out in us through an active state, where we “match” the state of the being or event we’re interacting with, and we express those qualities as a joint-reality through the dynamic that’s being played out. Whatever qualities are stimulated and brought into an active and creative state consistently and in an on-going manner, are developed as strengths while simultaneously acquiring the “dynamic” as a tendency. As we create experiences out of those qualities and dynamics, we “sense ourselves” through them, associate and identify with them, and “become them” as a natural part of our perspective, attitude, and behaviors.

The outside world can only act to call forth in us what already exists in us as a natural part of our constitution and predisposition. It doesn’t act to “give us qualities” that we don’t already possess, but simply develop the qualities that are of a similar and complementary nature that we share in common. Naturally, whatever qualities are consistently stimulated and used to express as a way of creating our experiences, become exercised, well-developed, and a dominate part of our character. Other qualities that aren’t stimulated very often are more subtle in nature, unfamiliar to us, and less developed. Still other qualities that are seldom ever or have never been stimulated in us, remain dormant in us as a form of latent potential.

As we go through life, because we’re naturally prone to repeating and living out of our conditioning and well-developed aspects of our character, we usually simply walk through life repeating patterns, naturally forming the same type of relationships that play out the same type of dynamics, unconsciously place ourselves in the same type of situations and environments, and act, for the most part, in a purely unconscious and habitual manner, without ever really realizing that that’s what we’re doing or that we have the ability to change it. Most live out of whatever comes natural to them and fail almost completely to recognize the patterns operating in their life.

Anytime we find ourselves in new and untried situations or relationships, we can feel awkward, unsure of ourselves, and overwhelmed with deep seated feelings of insecurity. We encounter a part of ourselves we’re not familiar with, and we don’t know what to do or how to be. We can fail to relate in the most basic sense, and not feel capable of playing the role we’ve been cast into. There’s usually two basic ways to interpret this, one is that the qualities necessary to participate in the dynamic or activity exist within us as potential that hasn’t been exercised, embodied, or developed, so it feels new to us, or, that we don’t possess the qualities and characteristics necessary, and so the situation isn’t stimulating at all and is not serving to bring anything out in us, and we don’t relate or identify with it in any way, nor do we want to.

For the most part we are all walking through life in a predominately unconscious state where we lack a fundamental awareness of the natural processes going on within us and around us as a natural part of our feelings, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Because all behavior is produced in a natural and automatic fashion by our unconscious mind as our personality, we often have no real awareness of what we’re actually doing or why. Emotions, which are freely being transmitted throughout the astral plane (atmosphere) act as a powerful stimulus that renders us unconscious, produce illusions as memories in place of objective neutral reality, and cause us to act and play out whole behavioral dynamics in an automatic fashion as a “reaction”.

Anytime we’re reacting to someone or something, we’re literally being controlled by it by becoming just like it. We instantly receive the emotional charge, have a strong internal reaction that instantly references and pulls up a memory formed out of the same emotion that becomes our perceptual lens as a template for producing an automatic reality that says “this is the same as that” (of the same emotion and meaning), and we act the same way as an automatic process. The subconscious is the aspect of the mind that produces, stores, and utilizes memory to produce instant interpretations of reality and automated behaviors. The emotion we were experiencing when we formed the memory is what gives the event the meaning it has, and is what connects the present to the past as being of the same meaning and idea. This memory, as a whole dynamic and reality, provides the subconscious with a pattern that it repeats and uses to create more of the same type of experiences. All reactive behavior is automated and we create out of a primarily unconscious state to create more of the past in the present.

Anytime we’re living out of our emotions, or are strongly affected by the emotions of others being projected at us or openly expressed around us, and dwell in emotional states inwardly by thinking and replaying memories associated with them over and over in a variety of ways, we’re literally being controlled and determined by others and our conditioning, and creating our life in a delusional manner. We’re tossed about and jerked around by the emotions we internalize as realities, and the will of others. The most predominate way we’re manipulated, seduced, and influenced by others is through emotions. As we’re stimulated and allow the emotions into our mind and body, allowing them to take hold and start running our thoughts, we form illusions out of them that we then relate and identify with, sensing our self as them, and they shape and determine us as a result. The patterns of our conditioning as dynamics, which are emotionally driven, have a very magnetic quality to them, and we can feel as if we get drawn into them even when intellectually we know we don’t want to. It’s as if we can’t seem to help it.

When we’re in a situation where we’re being stimulated by someone who’s outwardly being angry and hostel and is upset or attacking us, and we have that momentary realization of how they’re making us feel and what kind of person they are, and we’re on the verge of reacting by becoming just like them, and letting them “have it”, or “giving them back their own medicine”, we can also realize that in doing so we “become” just like them. We become the same type of person and behave (and self-create) in the same way. We bring the same qualities and characteristics into expression, invest in the same illusion, and create in the same manner. When this happens we’re being fully controlled and shaped to be just like this person. We give our will over to this person and give them free reigns in creating us to be the way we are. We “willingly create an experience of ourselves” as being the same way and the same type of person.

The more we willingly participate in reactive behavior brought on by emotional charges, the more we strengthen those traits and cooperate in co-creating the illusions that ensue from them, and we accumulate memories of ourselves being that way, and they become a natural part of our normal behavior where we begin playing them out more and more. The more we cooperatively participate in emotions and behaviors, the more readily and easily we’re stimulated by them and engage in a natural and unconscious way. We develop them into strengths and employ them as our normal emotional state. Our resistance to them lowers and we begin building their reality into our story about things in a way that makes sense and validates and justifies them as appropriate and rightfully warranted. Once this happens, they become a natural part of us.

Through the recognition and awareness of what’s actually happening and why, we can not only prevent the emotion being projected at us from ever entering and taking hold within us, and resist it by refraining from acting on it until it fades, and in the moment of calm that immediately precedes it, we can realize that we have a choice. We can either become just like this person in kind, allowing their mentality to infect us, or, through the awareness itself, keep it outside of us and not let it affect us. Anytime we don’t merge into the same emotional state as another, we act energetically to neutralize it. We don’t feed and amplify it by giving it our life-force energy. If we react and take it on, we amplify and multiply it. No matter what our choice is, and what actions we take based on our decisions, we create ourselves accordingly.

If you tend to be very sensitive and vulnerable to emotions (as most of us are) and have trouble resisting them, try a few practices that will allow you to become more aware of them in the sense of what’s actually happening when you’re experiencing them. There are two primary ways we experience emotions, one is because they’re being expressed, projected, and transmitted through the atmosphere and act to “enter into” and stimulate us internally, and the other is they come as a reaction to our own thoughts. In both instances, simply be present with what’s happening, and self-reflect or observe the process from a detached perspective of what’s happening within you and why.

When reflecting on emotions being projected at you, it’s best to start with ones that are mild to moderate (they’re not as gripping), and remove your attention completely from the other person or what’s being said or done, and simply turn your full awareness inward and become aware of how you’re being stimulated. Notice where the stimulus is located in your body (heart, stomach, sexual organs, etc.) and how its making you feel. Describe the feeling in sensory terms (buzzy, tingly, sinking, warm, stabbing, queasy, arousing, etc.) As you realize how you’re feeling because of it, become aware of how you want to react. Allow the initial impulse to momentarily play out in your mind. What behavior is it acting to produce in you in an automatic fashion? As you become aware of the behavior it’s acting to prompt in an impulsive manner based on how you’re feeling, notice what memory comes to mind or what past event you’re relating it to that was of a similar nature and caused you to feel the same way. Then allow yourself to play out the meaning of the memory in terms of what you told yourself about it, and what it meant about you and other people as a result. Your only goal is to gain a full awareness around the nature of what’s actually happening in you due to the stimulus. Awareness and self-realization is all it takes to bring it under control and refrain from reacting while maintaining a clear mind out of which you can calmly decide how you want to respond.

In terms of becoming aware of your own self-induced emotional states, realize that thought and emotion are always connected and of a complementary nature. We’re always either producing our emotions based on what we’re focused on or thinking about, or our thoughts emerge naturally as an expression of how we feel. Anytime a mood prevails or emotions swell up inside of you and starts consuming you, notice what it is you’re focused on and playing out in your mind as a memory or idea, and what you’re telling yourself about it. Then realize that if you simply change what you’re focused on and thinking about, the emotion associated with it fades and changes accordingly. Learn how to see the natural relationship that exists between feelings, emotions, thoughts, memory, and behaviors or activities. Notice that our state-of-mind is created by three complementary factors, what we’re focused on, what we’re telling ourselves about what we’re focused on that gives it meaning, and our physiology. Change any one of these, and the other two automatically change accordingly. If you feel you can’t control your focus or thoughts, change what you’re doing with your body. If sitting, get up and move around. If slumped over or feeling tired, sit up straight or get up and engage in vigorous activity of some sort. As you change what you’re doing, your mood, outlook, and thoughts change accordingly.

By becoming more aware of the relationships and operations of our mind and body, we can begin learning how to manage our own mental and emotional states. All abilities to utilize our own creative faculties comes through self-awareness and our ability to actively choose where we were once unaware, and willfully act out our choices to create new experiences of ourselves. In order to operate our own mind, we have to gain knowledge of our own subconscious mind and our ability to direct and guide it using our conscious mind. All unconscious and automatic processes can only be brought under control and utilized in an intentional manner by becoming aware of them. We can only work with what we’re aware of. Self-awareness is the key to life and the pathway to self-mastery.

In situations where we’re being stimulated by others or events, we have to notice what quality and “way of being” it’s acting to bring out in us, and who we become by expressing through it. Notice that people are always acting on us to influence us to become “like” them as a way of being and acting. All relationships we form at all levels of our life serve to naturally transform us by way of this process. It’s a fundamental process of cause and effect, stimulus that produces a like response, and action that produces and equal or greater reaction. At the energetic level of attributes, qualities, and characteristics, everything is produced, modified, and evolved through resonance, sympathetic induction, and coherence between two complementary systems. Once you realize it and form a fundamental understanding of it, learn how to use it consciously in a deliberate and intentional manner to develop yourself by way of it. Always work within the natural laws involved to create within the material plane.

Evolution of the Mind, Body and Spirit – Changing the Way we look at our Physical and Spiritual Nature

One of the problems we have in understanding our spiritual-energetic nature is we try to view it through the same model as our physical nature. Yet even how we tend to look at our physical nature is largely incorrect because we’ve been conditioned to a firm mindset based almost exclusively on material sciences which is usually only working with a fraction of the information involved, excluding the larger part of our physical make-up which is comprised of invisible fields and forces that are constantly operating within our physical apparatus. While we’ve been taught that our genes and physical make-up is “fixed” and permanent, and we are left at the mercy of whatever our genetic ancestry has given us, we now know scientifically, that this isn’t true.

Only 2% of our entire genetic composition goes into building the proteins that make up our body giving it the physical characteristics and general condition it exists in, while the other 98% (give or take) appears to be a memory processing biocomputer of sorts that’s being constantly programmed by our mind through our perception. As we perceive the world around us, and we process that information by interpreting it to give it meaning, and we build it into a story as a thematic reality that our mind is designed to tell, we simultaneously program the subconscious mind and DNA of the body with those same perceptions, and it acts to produce the material equivalent, both as our body and our outer reality. Everything around us in the material world of Nature is comprised of the same DNA and subconscious mind, both of which are “passive and receptive” in nature, and act as a receiver and transducer for various forms of information that it uses to reform the material body.

Just as the inner is always resonating and absorbing information from the outer and integrating it to become “like” the outer environment of which it’s a fundamental part and must function and survive in, the mind is always “in-forming the body” which serves as a vehicle and house for the mind within the material realm. There’s a constant morphing and transformation going on between parallel and inter-meshed dimensions as a natural means of adaptation that modifies and equalizes as a necessary evolutionary process that allows one aspect to exist and interact within another aspect. In order to exist, function, and operate within one plane or sphere, we have to “become the same” as that plane as a “mental condition” and energetic state.

Likewise, the mind, which constructs the body as its physical equivalent, exists as a field of information that’s in a constant state of transformation through resonance, sympathetic induction, and coherence. It’s constantly being formed, unformed, and reformed by the information it resonates with all around it, that it naturally acts to absorb, integrate and metabolize, shifting and morphing its structure as a paradigm to be able to see and create in new ways. Our mind naturally takes in and becomes one with whatever consciousness it exists within near proximity of that’s of the same nature (kind) as it is (what it naturally resonates with). Whatever is “like us” we act to naturally unite with and become “like” by taking on and acquiring whatever unique characteristics it possesses that are of the same nature, which means we can easily and naturally act as a vehicle or means for expressing it.

The spirit, which exists more as a life-force energy that “activates” and provides the power or energy, so to speak, for producing biological processes as regeneration, growth, and development into fully functioning systems, never actually takes on a form of any kind in the basic sense, but acts more as a fluid-like electricity that temporarily takes on shape of the form it serves to produce by coupling with matter, forming the energetic matrix as a form of lattice that helps structure and hold it together through tension (electromagnetic field), and fuels it’s operation as life giving biological processes. When the spirit leaves the body, it’s no longer “held together” and consciously operated, and so it “dies” and begins disintegrating and decomposing.

The soul acts as a medium that’s comprised of both spirit and essence, and uses the lower mind as a vehicle, just as the mind uses the body for a vehicle. The soul is the essence that spirit couples with to produce a material form out of the memory of itself that’s self-produced through the vehicle of the lower (subconscious) mind and the body (DNA). It operates and is formed by the same evolutionary process of adaptation and modification that’s comes from becoming one with different aspects of itself (frequency, type, and nature) to form a new whole. We only grow and evolve into something else through acquiring diverse qualities that enhance and develop our character in some way that changes our experience of ourselves, providing the soul with new forms of memory that modifies how it creates itself. By acquiring new kinds of experiences that act to “re-inform it”, the soul’s frequency is altered and the pattern as a paradigm inherent within that frequency, and how it naturally acts to structure all aspects of its material existence are altered simultaneously.

All of life that exists in the phenomenal world is created by combinations as coupling between various levels and degrees of the energetic and material world. Each level of complexity is achieved through added layers of consciousness that bestow it with higher and more diverse capacities that act to increase the complexity of its existence. All of the lower world of physical Nature has a soul, mind, and body or physical form. The soul is the accumulated and coherent memory of the kind, type, or species of which it’s a part of, that acts through the subconscious of the collective unconscious to configure the DNA accordingly to produce the etheric hologram (phantom) used as the blueprint for cellular regeneration, specialization, and spatial orientation (mapping) to produce the form as the bio-system of its memory. DNA is like the hardware and the soul the software that determines what operations are performed and conducted by the hardware. The soul, like the mind, is triune in nature as a Higher Soul, collective soul, and individual soul, all of which are produced by the higher aspect coupling with the lower and producing that same aspect on a lower plane as the process of descending from a higher plane of pure energy and unity into a lower plane of division and being located within a greater reality, all of which are various aspects of itself used to produce the reality it exists “within” (fields nested within greater fields) or by expression of the memory its composed of that come through experiences of its own making.

We are constantly in the process of forming and reforming based on what we resonate with, and absorb and become one with in everything around us. Our body, which is the product of our mind, is in a constant state of regenerating itself. While our basic appearance and characteristics may not change much outside of maturing and aging, our internal nature as our character (soul) has the ability to change quite drastically based on what we blend with and bring into expression somehow through and “as” us. Yet, at the same time, because all growth and evolution is based on resonance with the same thing all around us, and the fact that we only grow in an intentional manner through awareness and using our own mind through directed attention, choice, and will, evolution that takes place in a completely unconscious and natural way, can be quite slow, and we can easily digress instead of progressing. It’s only when the higher faculties of the soul and mind are skillfully employed that we grow in a deliberate and substantial manner. If our higher capacities are not awakened within us, and we live with no real awareness of our true ability to self-create in an intentional manner, we simply live out of our conditioning like animals through “trained behavior” born out of a conditioned mindset, and we continue to blend with, readily take on and become one with, and bring into expression more of the same character, ideas, and experiences, reinforcing and strengthening existing memory instead of transforming and evolving it.

When we remain primarily unconscious and a part of the collective unconscious of humanity produced by our identification with our “animal body” that’s designed to function and operate in a completely automatic fashion through instinct and conditioning, and we never become practiced in developing our ability to think and reason for ourselves, and “decide” who and how we’re going to be, then employ those qualities to create our experiences of ourselves, acquiring the memory of those experiences in an accumulative and integrative fashion, reprogramming and reconditioning ourselves by way of our own hand, we become lost in the illusion born out of an unconscious state.

       As humans we are both divine and animal. We have a higher nature and a lower nature, bridged and brought together as one by the medium of our individual soul, which contains the memory of both. Our divine nature exists as higher capacities of the mind that can directly influence and direct the reality produced by the lower mind, which exists in a primarily unconscious state that lacks the awareness and ability to self-create. In our lower state we are a product of our conditioning, and are trained to perceptions and behaviors by others who use their will to feed us suggestions. The lower mind of the material world is passive and receptive in nature and readily takes in the suggestions as ideas that form the thoughts and mental impressions of others, and uses them to generate more thoughts of the same nature, programming itself by way of those thoughts.

As we think, we imagine, and build whole realities out of our thoughts. These thoughts tune us to the vibration of those thoughts which has a self-organizing mechanism inherent in it that produces the material equivalent as a pattern or dynamic structure. This material structure produced by the thoughts of the mind, equally programs “all” DNA and the subconscious, not only in the body as the channel for the thoughts to express, but also of the environment surrounding us, which is also a product of the subconscious mind as part of the collective unconscious that governs all of life and Nature, within which we exist as an inherent part. All of our experiences of what we perceive as an outer reality are produced by our subconscious mind, which works by passively taking in whatever thoughts and ideas are active around it. It only acts as a receptor of the will, which are thoughts and ideas being projected and transmitted all around it, or in the ideal situation, by its “own will” as the conscious mind which acts as the gatekeeper of the lower mind and decides what’s allowed to impregnate it, and grow into a reality as a result, and what’s not.

The will is the higher capacity of the mind that can direct the attention of the lower mind, and give it commands as seeded ideas that it wants to grow and produce, first internally through the imagination, then externally through our perception of it around us and our activities based on it. We can alter the content of our mind by deliberately choosing how we “re-inform it”. By intentionally giving it certain types of thought, we work “on ourselves” to recreate ourselves. By choosing what we expose ourselves to in terms of outer ideas being played out around us, what situations and activities we willingly participate in and associate with, what people we maintain relationships with of various sorts, and begin instead to remain fully conscious of how we’re creating ourselves through unconscious absorption and programming.

When we remain fully awake and aware in even the most ordinary parts of our life, and actively choose what we “let in” and allow to take hold by continuing to think about it, and what we act to censor, edit, and keep out of our subconscious mind, we begin creating ourselves in a deliberate and powerful way. We step fully into our only “true responsibility” with a fully awake and aware mind. We begin the process of creating ourselves exactly as we want to be, instead of just “ending up” the way we are due to our conditioning where we were created and established by others through a predominately unconscious state and a complete lack of self-awareness.

Once we wake up within our own life and become fully aware, we begin realizing that in every moment we’re deciding what to let in, take on and become a part of, and create ourselves to be “like” as a result. We realize that even when we’re in relationships and situations that we need to be in in order to live, that we still maintain the ability to choose what we allow to affect us, and what we don’t. We can choose what we focus on, give our attention to, and think about, and what we don’t. When we walk away and leave a situation we can choose not to take it with us and continue thinking about it. We can bring a new awareness to our relationships and realize how they’re acting to develop us based on the character traits and dynamics being consistently demonstrated and acted out, and we can make new decisions based on the clarity that this brings as to whether or not to maintain them or let them go. We can decide with a new level of awareness what new types of relationships we form with new types of people, only choosing ones that we admire and respect and want to become more like. Ones that actively demonstrate desirable qualities and character that we’d like to develop in ourselves by way of the interaction it provides.

By realizing that we grow, develop, and evolve through whatever we naturally absorb, merge with, and blend together with energetically, we become more responsible and proactive in our own life. By realizing that our subconscious mind acts in a natural, non-willful way to absorb whatever ideas are being played out around it that it’s exposed to and exists within near proximity of, we can learn to only place ourselves intentionally in desirable situations, and actively act as the gatekeeper to filter what we consciously choose to let in or keep out. We can learn to utilize the power of our own will to intentionally program ourselves with the ideas we want to experience as a way of developing ourselves by way of those experiences. We can become aware of why we’re the way we are and employ the means to change our mind and our lives in whatever way we want to.

Archetypes, Morphic Fields, and Memory – The Holographic- Etheric Blueprint for Creating Reality

Memory exists not only as a personal creation we form as the result of what we can call “real life experiences”, but exists as the very basis for knowledge itself as ideas that can be used to create realities. There’s a two-way flow between a reality becoming a memory, and a memory becoming a reality. We often form a memory from an event in our life that has a strong emotional impact, that we then use over and over throughout our life as a form of perceptual filter and template for creating more of the same ‘type’ of realities. The memory itself isn’t formed as an exact recollection of the factual details of what happened, but rather as the story we told ourselves about what happened and why, and what it meant about us and the world in general as a result.

We make up stories about the events of our life as a means of trying to process and make sense of them, and the story we form as the meaning and significance of the event becomes a kind of life theme that the memory itself merely serves to represent. Once a memory is formed from an intense emotional experience, and is turned into a kind of template of meaning as a perceptual filter, and we begin referencing it on a regular basis as the means of providing us with an instant interpretation for all current events of a similar nature, it becomes an habitual perception as a life theme that we use to form our routine experiences of life.

In a like manner, what we call ‘Universal knowledge” exists also as a form of memory in the Akashic or Unified field of infinite potential as universal archetypes or principles. Archetypes are a form of memory as ideas that are holistic in nature as a hologram that provides the perceptual lens and template for creating realities out of that provide us with certain types of life experiences. An archetype serves as a generic prototype that we absorb into our mental field and reform into a personalized version by how we adapt and integrate it into our mental paradigm as applied to our life conditions and circumstances. When ideas “come to us” out of nowhere, they rise up in our mind and play out in much the same way as a normal memory is recollected. They come to us as a form of living concept or scenario that’s a potential pattern for using as a theme to produce a similar form or reality out of.

Archetypes as universal memory exist in the causal field as generic prototypes for utilizing at the personal level to create experiences that produce personal memory of the same kind. An archetype is an “idea” in its whole unified form that contains an overall pattern as a story complete with attributes and qualities in varying degrees that form characteristics that produce a form of personality with distinct behaviors. In beings bestowed with the capacity of higher conscious, an identity emerges out of the personality, that “creates” by telling a certain type of story as the expression of its character or inner nature within specific conditions, situations, and life circumstances.

A personal memory that’s produced by either an actual life experience or by applying an archetypal memory to produce a life experience, that’s then used in a habitual manner as a theme for creating more experiences of the same nature, creates a ‘thought-form’. Thought-forms are produced by the modified adaptations of a universal theme as a personal and unique version, that’s imagined, concentrated  on with intensity, and embodied through action that forms just like a universal archetype. Thoughts as ideas that are imagined as full sensory experiences with strong emotions (made real), produce an electromagnetic field that forms into a holographic form or reality that serves to populates the astral plane of the collective unconscious as a memory that can be accessed, absorbed, and utilized by others through morphic resonance. Those of a similar nature (vibratory frequency) are able to accommodate the same type of thoughts while mistaking them for their own.

Anyone who is “tuned” to the same frequency can access, receive, and utilize the thought-form in the same way they utilize a universal archetype or they perceive it as their own self-generated thoughts. All similar things influence each other through morphic resonance. Memory is not stored in the brain or body as many believe, but is stored in the soul as the morphic electromagnetic field that surrounds, permeates, and is boded to the body that’s also directly connected to the greater mind-field of the astral plane of mass consciousness. Only those of the same species, kind, type, nature, and character as a cluster of accumulated memories are “tuned to the same frequency” and act as a “receiver” through resonance and sympathetic induction, which acquires the memory as a thought-form that it believes is its own or is self-produced. Thoughts come to us and play out in our mind in much the same way as our own memories do. It’s an imaginary process that gives us a new pattern as an idea for acting out in our life in a congruent manner to create more memories of the same kind.

The spirit, soul, and body are simultaneously unformed, evolutionary, and stabilized patterns. The spiritual plane, which is causal in nature, is unformed and exists as pure consciousness, raw information, archetypal ideas, and patterns in their free- flowing potential state. This is the unified field (Akasha) of pure information as archetypes and universal memory that are available for self-creating at the physical level of the soul and body. They can only create (become formed as something specific) in the material world through a physical channel, individual mind and will (life-force).

The soul acts as a ‘medium’ between the spiritual and the physical, and is both of the spirit and form whose constitution is comprised of accumulated memory that forms a unique variation as a multidimensional being with a three-fold nature. The soul walks between worlds, vibrating at the frequency of its integrated memory, where it draws on the archetypes of the spiritual realm, and acts as a channel and transducer for interpreting it through adaptation to its personal model, modifying it and creating a unique variation by how it builds it into its astral-etheric constitution to produce new forms of thought and behavior that modifies and evolves its character to higher and more expanded levels of understanding.

The entire physical world is created by a (the) soul. The soul in-forms and structures physical reality as a combination of archetypal themes that are correlated, coordinated, and congruent in nature. The soul provides the astral-etheric holographic blueprint that acts to fashion its own body, while tuning into and resonating with that same reality in the outer world. The body is grown, organized, and spatially structured through the etheric interface of the soul. Its energetic memory as a series of dynamic interlaced patterns produces a morphogenetic electromagnetic field as a holographic, ghost-like image (invisible light) that provides the vibratory structure as a torsion field (life-force) that orchestrates the cellular regeneration, specialization, and spatial orientation in sync with the genetic code inherited from the parents, which is of the same memory-frequency of the soul utilizing it. They’re compatible in other words.

The body as a cellular organism is given life, structured and produced, animated, and “held together” by the soul. Physical matter has no life or structure of its own without a soul. The soul is the morphic field of accumulated and integrated memory as a vibratory frequency that produces the “self-organizing mechanism” and tension-field for producing the body as its physical equivalent or twin. Matter is the passive and inactive (feminine) aspect of consciousness and only obtains the active and formative aspect (masculine) of consciousness by absorbing it and acting as a host for it, which is what serves to shape and animate it with natural behaviors.

The subconscious mind of the body and DNA is passive and receptive in nature and is programmed with new ideas as patterns of formation and behavior by the higher, active mind of the soul. The soul exists in polar relationship with both the higher realm and the lower, and is receptive to the higher and active in the lower. The ideas that are “received” from the higher and transmitted to the lower, and then acted on repeatedly forms a memory that becomes habit. Once an idea is brought into practice consistently, and is “built into the muscle”, so to speak, it becomes natural and automatic. It becomes a permanent part of our nature as our soul’s essence.

Humans are bestowed with higher capacities of the mind and have the ability to self-create by producing its own memory in an intentional and deliberate manner. The animal kingdom and the entire natural world operates strictly from memory as instinct, where all members of the same species and kind, behave in much the same way, and changes occur only on rare occasion where a new behavior is developed, that then makes that behavior available to all others of the same species, through what we call the collective unconscious, which is synonymous with the astral plane of the Earth, which is the “soul” of the Earth. Humans have the ability to produce thought-forms that serve to populate the astral plane with new memory that acts in much the same manner as universal archetypes do.

These thought-forms are transmitted fluently throughout the astral plane where they can be picked up on and received or absorbed by anyone who is of the same kind and “tuned to” the same type of memory. Likewise, whatever thoughts as memories we dwell in and constantly recollect and relive in our imagination, we tune ourselves to, resonate with, and act as a receiver for more of the same type of thoughts. Because the tuning, receiving, and transmitting of thought-forms are all of the same nature, we don’t realize we’re being “given them” and usually mistake them as our own, much like we do universal archetypes that usually come through moments of inspiration, insight into something, or a “ah-ha” moment as a sudden realization.

When we live out of our unconscious, lower, non-creative nature, we fail in the most basic sense to evolve through the incorporation of new and diverse thought, and can live our entire life out of our past. We have a natural tendency to use past memories to create present experiences in a habitual fashion. This is because there’s no memories we resonate with more than our own memories of the past, so we tend to consistently think, feel, behave, and perceive more of the same type of experiences. We only see our past in everything else. This is a feature of our lower, animal, subconscious mind which operates in a purely automatic and habitual fashion to bring the memories of the past into the present, using them to perceive, interpret, and produce more of the same type of behavior and experiences. We simply repeat the same themes, story-lines, and behavioral dynamics over and over, without realizing that through choice and free will, we can choose to intentionally break old habits and create new ones by embodying new qualities and ways of thinking and being.

By providing ourselves with new knowledge and information that we first imagine as a reality and practical application that we then act on repeatedly, we create new types of experience that produce new types of memory, which when made into a habit, change our vibratory constitution and evolve us at the soul level according to those memories. By applying knowledge to form new memories, we not only see the world differently, but we use those memories to create our experiences in the present, and continue to produce more of the same type of experiences, accumulating to the point where they modify our existing model. However we intentionally act to shape our mental paradigm becomes our soul’s constitution which is eternal, and carried forward as natural tendencies, temperament, and disposition. It literally changes our personality and identity, which is how we self-create by way of our own self-expression and the corresponding creation of our outer world.

As we change internally, our outer world changes as a direct correspondence. We tune into a different reality, act to consistently perceive that reality, and receive, process, and transmit more of that same type of reality. To change others and the world around us, we have to change ourselves and our inner world which is what’s producing it through morphic resonance. When we change our “mind” we change how everything in the outer world appears. We are tuned to a new frequency, organize the outer world to that frequency by what stands out and is enhanced and embellished, and what doesn’t. We begin noticing and perceiving different things. We look at the same thing in a new light and see something different as a result. We act to attract new things and begin interacting with the outer world in a whole new way. Old relationships and situations die and fade away, and new ones are birthed and come to life. We act on ourselves to grow and evolve ourselves to new types of form and reality.

Summary:      

A memory as an archetype (prototype) is a frequency that’s comprised of different types of information as patterns (dynamic form) that have a self-organizing mechanism as life-force energy. Information itself is unformed and passive until it’s energized (charged) by life-force and organized into a living biological (fully functioning) form that’s self-sustaining and self-perpetuating. Whatever form we take on as archetypal forces becomes the memory of our soul, substance, and behavior, and tunes us to the vibration of that memory, where we connect and resonate with more of the same memory in everything else, while acting as a receiver and channel for it.

The archetypal forces that make up our soul’s nature, represented by the zodiac in various degrees and angles, form our mind as our paradigm and perceptual lens that structures the entire outer world to be of the same nature and memory as we are. The soul not only fabricates the body as its physical equivalent (temple and vehicle), but also forms the outer reality as a larger, more diverse and complex version of the same idea that sets the stage for acting it out. We only see in others and everything else, what’s in us as memory. Our soul’s memory forms our personality and all of our natural inclinations, propensities, and behaviors, which spontaneously births our identity, based on what we naturally associate with and relate to.

We attract (and are attracted to), engage in, and act to facilitate more of the same type of relationships and experiences that are inherent in our memories. Energetically we’re an antenna that’s tuned into a frequency as accumulated memory that acts to receive, adapt and modify, and produce more experiences of the same kind as a life theme. Our life theme is expressed by the story we’re always in the process of telling ourselves about things that give them meaning. We naturally act to produce a congruent and consistent version of reality as a story-line that plays out as dynamic interactive theme.

Vibration produces a morphic field as an electromagnetic field (spiraling motion that both pulls together and pushes apart, forming a stable pattern) as a holographic 3-D virtual image that organizes and concentrates essence (light) into a biological form that functions in a way that’s natural to that form. Vibration creates this same basic structure on multiple levels simultaneously as an image, scenario, and greater reality that “in-forms matter” as astral light that becomes a holographic-etheric blueprint for growing, organizing, and spatially forming the physical equivalent. As we think, feel, and imagine, we shape light into the reality of our thoughts, imprinting the ether around us with that impression as a vibratory frequency that becomes our “signature” for creating as our style and how we “handle our subject”.

Self-Purification and Cultivating Our Higher Nature

As we go through life, we’re always “becoming” through a process of amalgamation, where we enter into relationship with everyone and everything around us, blending with them energetically, taking on their compatible attributes and transforming our nature by using them to express and create experiences that we then relate to and identify with. Through the process of amalgamation where we take on the qualities and characteristics of others, we become contaminated and corrupt in the most basic sense. All relationships are energetic interactions of the mind and soul where we absorb and integrate whatever is of a similar nature to us, while ignoring or resisting what’s not of the same nature. As we blend with “like” (polarized) qualities in another, we become “like them” and they become like us. Integration of qualities comes through resonance and sympathetic induction where we take on their vibration, modifying our own in a corresponding manner, and gradually forming a modified vibration through coherence (harmony) by vibrating at the same frequency. Whatever we’re exposed, exist in near proximity of, and are subjected to without resistance, we readily take into our subconscious mind, allow it to take hold as a thought or emotion, and become the channel for its expression.

Whatever we willingly allow, participate in, and cooperate with, we become like. We utilize our will through our ability to choose, by relating or contrasting, gaining an awareness of how we feel in relation to others or situations, where we either agree and step into it willingly and cooperate, or we resist, decline, and move out of and away from it.  When we develop an awareness of consciousness as qualities that form characteristics as “ways of being”, we can become aware of how we’re always choosing our methods of self-development through the relationships we maintain and who we associate with on a regular basis. Through self-awareness we can learn how to manage ourselves using our will and the ability to choose. By making decisions that we implement in a willful manner, we determine what we allow in and what we don’t. We can consciously choose what we willingly absorb and become like in nature, and what we resist and therefore prevent from entering into us, and becoming a part of us.

Whenever we enter into a relationship with someone or something (person, situation, activity, set of circumstances) we should maintain a subtle awareness of how we’re either contrasting or relating, and how we’re feeling as a result of the interaction. We should always be asking ourselves “what is the consciousness I’m experiencing, and in what way is it influencing me”? If I take on the same consciousness and allow it to express through me, who and how will I become? As I form a sense of myself “being this way” (embodying that way of being) how does it feel? As I sense myself this way, how do I feel about myself?

We all have what we call “shadow aspects” that are qualities that we inherently possess that we deny having, have repressed in some manner because we were made to feel bad about them or couldn’t find appropriate expression for them, or that we built an illusion around by telling ourselves a story about it that makes it seem different from what it actually is. Like all unconscious tendencies, we’re always projecting them outward and using them to shape our outer environment as our mind’s way of allowing us to “see what they are”, and we not only notice and react to them in others, but we gravitate towards them and naturally enter into in relationship with them. Just as we attract to people and situations that we enjoy and find gratifying, we’re also attract to and towards the type of people and things we despise, are irritated by, and find repulsive for some reason. A “reaction” of any kind to something outside of us, good or bad, is happening because we have that same quality within us as a hidden aspect that we remain primarily unaware of and deny the fact that we have the same quality. All qualities are polar or dual in nature (electromagnetic), and serve as complementary aspects needed to create a joint experience of the shared quality as an interaction. We’re always attracted to those who play the opposite role in the same dynamic.

We create out of the dynamics of our conditioning to either be the same or be the opposite. Either way, the relationship as contrasting and relating to the same pattern as a dynamic theme, forms the outward expression of chosen aspects and the inward, hidden life of the ones that are not consciously chosen, but repressed and held inside instead. The ones we rebel and retaliate against as a way of shaping ourselves, becomes disowned aspects that we deny having, even though we have shaped ourselves in relationship with them, and we continue to attract and end up in relationship with our shadow aspects as a way of maintaining our “sense of self” by continuing to contrast and retaliate against them. Whatever dynamic we’ve shaped ourselves out of as a relationship and way of interacting, we maintain, because without it, we don’t know who we are or how to “be”. We need to be in relationship with the same type of people in order to play out the dynamic we’ve built our identity around.

This type of energetic, subconscious interaction is going on at the unconscious level all the time where we’re doing it naturally and automatically without actual awareness of what we’re doing and why. When we become aware of and realize the reality of it, we then have a choice as to whether or not we need to keep acting it out by allowing or resisting it, while intentionally choosing how we’re going to be instead. As long as we are still getting our “identity from others”, and we feel the need for others to show us who we are, we maintain relationships that are of the same nature that we were conditioned with.

Once we become aware of our own unconscious tendencies, and begin sensing our energetic nature as consciousness itself, we can get a sense of who we really are in terms of our true nature, and begin drawing on our inner power as a means of creating ourselves in our everyday life. We move from an “other” orientation to a “self” orientation. As we sense ourselves in every situation we begin realizing that we always have a choice as to whether or not we’re going to remain unconscious and unaware in our life, and be determined by others, or if we’re going to choose instead to remain awake, aware and able in every moment to choose who and how we’re going to be. At first, this may require a willful effort, but once our center of gravity changes, our whole mind-set changes, and we simply lose interest in things that use to grip us. We no longer react or feel chemistry of some kind with the same type of people and situations. And we simply lose interest and leave those relationships.

When we become awake and conscious, we realize we’re always filtering ideas through our true nature, and deciding which ones we blend with, allow into our mind, and allow to take hold by thinking about them and forming them into internal realities, which become the templates and pathways for our outer expression. As we express these same qualities outwardly by becoming a channel for them, we sense ourselves “as them”, experience ourselves in that way, becoming associated with it by forming a memory of it, and it becomes a permanent part of us. We build our identity out of the accumulated experiences we have based on the qualities that make up our character that we consistently use to self-express and self-create.

Whatever we subject ourselves to, enter into and maintain relationships with, or associate with on a regular basis, we allow to influence us by absorbing and integrating their consciousness which acts to transform and evolve us to be of the same nature. We become like whatever we’re around and interact with. Transformation in the most basic sense is evolution by absorbing (resonating), assimilating (harmonizing) and becoming like our outer environment. We’re always forming equilibrium with our environment as a harmonious balance between the inner self and the outer world. We’re not fixed static beings, we’re constantly in the process of exchanging, absorbing, integrating, and discharging energy with everything around us, as a natural bio-evolutionary process.

To purify ourselves is to not only use dietary means as both nutritive substance and morality, but also to purify our intentions, emotions, and psychological states as well. It’s becoming aware of how we’re being infected, contaminated, and corrupted with the consciousness of everything we willingly engage in and choose to do, what we end up around, or what we intentionally place ourselves in. Once we become constantly aware of how we’re being influenced in any given situation, and we learn how to “sense it” as a “way of being and thinking”, we can begin using our creative power of choice and will in an intentional manner. We can begin censoring what we allow to take hold in us, and what we don’t, who and what we associate with, and who and what we don’t. Through the awareness of the energetic nature of things as qualities of consciousness that we’re always interacting with and absorbing into our mind and taking on, we can consciously choose and willfully become self-determined and truly responsible for who we are. We can learn how to intentionally regulate and direct our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We can decide what to willingly participate in and cooperate in co-creating, and learn how to pick and choose who and what we associate with and what activities we engage in.

Entertainment – The Passive and Receptive Mind

Our mind operates according to different modes of passive and receptive, and active and projective, as the natural activity of the subconscious and self-conscious mind. The self-conscious, “aware” aspect has the ability to censor, judge, evaluate and filter all outward incoming information, and decide what to let in or resist and keep out. Whenever we’re actively being challenged, we’re in an active and projective mind where we evaluate and interpret everything and exercise our ability to resist it. Whenever we switch over to a mode of being entertained, where we’re not being challenged in any way and don’t need to defend, we enter into a passive and receptive mode, where we allow ideas and sensory realities to come into our mind, take hold and form a whole inner sensory reality that ultimately becomes a form of memory. Long after we’ve seen a movie that elicited a strong emotional impact, we continue to think about it periodically for years, maybe even throughout our lifetime. Similar ideas in our everyday environment cause a chain-of-association and we recall parts of the movie just like a memory. It literally becomes a “part of us” as part of our thinking and remembering. As we think and imagine we become by way of those thoughts, and they literally act to shape us at the purely unconscious level. They become a natural part of our subconscious memories just like real experiences do.

Whatever we form as a memory, as a reality that’s a part of our energetic make-up as our vibratory frequency, we not only perceive in our environment, but we act it out unconsciously by expressing it outwardly, creating our self by way of it. Whatever we form internally as an imagined reality (reviewing as a memory), becomes the perceptual lens we look through to see and interact with the same consciousness as an idea in the world around us, and we form a kind of gravitational field that connects us to by resonating with it. Whatever we think about and imagine repeatedly, we “tune” ourselves to that vibration and begin resonating with it outwardly. We begin stimulating it, interacting with it, and absorbing it, and through a repetitive accumulative process we steadily transform ourselves to be like it. As we think and imagine, we relate and “sense ourselves” through the reality of our thoughts, and we begin identifying with them. We typically identify with certain types of ideas, stories, themes, characters, personalities, issues and challenges, and so we always like “those type of movies” or “that type of character”. And by relating to them, and unconsciously initiating them, we shape ourselves to be “like them”.

Purifying Ourselves

To purify ourselves as a conscious and intentional act, is to become aware of this energetic process, gain a firm idea of who we really are and how we want to be, and intentionally select what we engage in, expose ourselves to, associate with, and what type of relationships we form and maintain between the outer and inner. Between our self and our self in another. We form an ideal of ourselves as the embodiment of our best qualities and character traits, and we intentionally and deliberately direct all our activities towards that means. We choose what movies we watch, what stories and dramas we participate in, what relationships we form and maintain, what activities we take up, and what situations we place ourselves in. We choose our diet and lifestyle, not only in physical and material forms, but in mental, emotional, and moral terms.

Soul as Morality

Our subconscious mind is primarily concerned with the body and its survival in the outer world by constantly evolving to become of the same nature, has a primary motive of self-preservation, and acts to maintain habitual behaviors that are emotionally driven and compulsive in nature. The self-conscious mind is focused primarily on others and the activities of the outer world, while interpreting everything through stories of some kind, and constantly preoccupied with redundant thoughts that replay memories and imaginary ideas of some sort. The soul is concerned almost exclusively with our moral nature and what type of things we engage in from a purely ethical perspective of higher (virtuous) and lower (vices) consciousness as principles that we live our life by forming what you could think of as our biography. Our morality is “who we are as a person” and what we stand for in terms of what we demonstrate through our thoughts, emotions, and activities. Whatever we engage and participate in, we become like and bond ourselves to that level of consciousness. We “classify ourselves”, so to speak, through our actions. To be is to do. Whatever we’re being inside determines what we do outside.

The soul isn’t concerned with the body or it destiny, because the body is temporary and only acts as a vehicle or instrument for the soul to express through and self-create by way of. The self-conscious, brain-oriented mind that arises in the body as the soul’s awareness of itself “as” the body, is the identity acquired by way of the body that allows the soul to “experience itself” in a specific way. The experience acquired through the body forms our identity, often called the ego, is mortal in nature and “dies” with the brain and body. The soul is that part of us that’s always in a “witnessing position”. That part of us that’s “in the experience”, having it, yet remains apart from it while observing it both inwardly and outwardly at the same time. The soul maintains a form of fundamental detachment from the body and its life experiences in the sense that while it fully engages in the experiences as a means of gaining an experience of itself in some way, it never mistakes itself for being the body or a mortal being. It realizes that it has full control over both the mind and the body, and, when awake and self-aware, exercises that ability in an intentional and deliberate manner. When the soul remains asleep, the body as the unconscious, unaware aspect that’s always being controlled by it’s instinctual nature and forces outside of itself, and as a means of seeking physical gratification of some kind, runs, and therefore determines the soul through the memories it produces.

The soul’s purpose in living is to become the dominant force within the body, guiding and directing the feelings, thoughts, and activities towards a higher means that consistently moves away from self-indulgence and need-gratification of any form, and towards assuming it’s universal identity acting as a “neutral force for good” in any situation that serves the “highest good” for everyone involved. It’s not self-oriented and driven by needs and desires, but rather selfless with a servant attitude. Because it lacks desire of the things of the material world, it’s free of them, and not held in captivity by them. Because it’s free of self-serving agendas, it’s only intention in any situation is to act as a mediator that facilitates and influences it to the highest and most beneficial means that serves the karma of everyone involved. It doesn’t impose itself on others, or act to coerce and manipulate, because it doesn’t derive its identity through the material world or the body it inhabits, but rather as a benevolent being of a divine and virtuous nature. It seeks not for itself, but only to give. It draws all its power from an internal, eternal source.

To purify the soul, is to allow it to dominate and utilize both the conscious and subconscious mind to create experiences of itself that are completely detached from material needs and identification. It’s to intentionally develop yourself to a virtuous nature that’s capable of drawing in and integrating higher intelligence. It’s to release your needs around material identification, and turn your full awareness within, drawing only on your internal source for power in the outer world. Connecting and developing a strong bond and flow of communication with your Higher Self that’s always held in loving regard with absolute trust. It’s to always act on yourself with that same benevolent mind-set, always loving and caring for yourself as you do others. It’s the act of cultivating yourself to be a channel for divine energy to flow into the world unimpeded, without corruption, and pure in form. By cultivating virtuous qualities, we heal our mind and emotions, strengthen and fortify our body, and become a catalyst for good in the world. This is the only true goal and purpose of the soul.
