How we unknowingly create the Reality of our Beliefs as Delusions

There’s an interesting thing about beliefs that make them hard to realize as not being true. Anything that we belief to be true, and therefore real, we create through our ability to “see it” in any situation. We see it not as an actual reality in and of itself, but as an “interpretation” of reality. A belief is usually formed as an interpretation of reality rather than an objective observation of an actual event. We can have difficulty understanding the power of belief in forming our reality because we don’t understand that what we call “reality” is formed as our “perception”, and it’s our “mind” that producing our perception. The subconscious aspect of our mind is what serves to shape all of our outer perceptions of reality to match our inner perceptions by “what we tell ourselves” about something. Because our outer reality is produced by our subconscious in an automatic fashion (unconsciously), we lack “direct awareness” of the fact that we’re actually the “one” telling our subconscious what to produce through our very “thoughts”.

If we look at the true nature of how a belief is constructed we can gain awareness around how it is that we’re creating our reality with our thoughts and intention. A belief doesn’t originate as an objective observation of reality that exists independent of us, but results rather from the “meaning” we give things by what we tell ourselves about them. Most people don’t realize that our internal dialogue as our thought processes is how we use “one aspect” of our mind to communicate with and direct the creative process of “another aspect” of our mind. What we consciously think about and picture in our mind as an inner experience of reality is actually directing our subconscious on what to create as a consistent and ongoing outer reality of the same nature and kind.

Another common mistake that results from a lack of self-awareness in understanding our own creative ability to produce our reality, comes by perceiving beliefs as being singular and independent of each other, rather than resulting from a “dynamic system of correlated beliefs”. As children, we have the full capacity of our subconscious mind, while our logical, rational, reasoning mind hasn’t developed yet. It’s the rational and discriminating “thought producing” aspect of our mind that acts as the “gatekeeper” to our subconscious, and has the ability to rationally evaluate and logically analyze ideas in order to “decide” what to “let in and take hold”, and what to reject and keep out. When only the subconscious is dominantly active, we readily take in and internalize whatever we witness happening around us and whatever it is we’re told is true and real. We have no ability to discriminate and simply create the reality of whatever we’re taught. Because we can create any idea as an imaginary experience that makes it seem real, we form a belief around it as being real and therefore true.

It’s our conscious, thinking mind of outer awareness that perceives a world of separation and tells stories about things as being apart from and independent of us, while the subconscious sees everything as connected and related and simply acts to internalize whatever is happening to make it “about us” personally. While in our subconscious, group mind, we imagine that we’re apart of everything that’s happening around us, and that whatever someone says about us is describing us in some way, and we form all of our initial beliefs accordingly. As children we perceive ourselves as being a part of our family unit and intimately connected to our parents. We imagine that their pain and sorrow is somehow our fault or because of us, and that we can change it by changing ourselves. In a similar manner we can have a tendency to believe that we can also make them happy or take away their pain by doing something special or changing how we’re acting.

As children, all of our perceptions stem from our emotions and we form our initial beliefs about ourselves and life in general out of emotional states we acquired from our parents and family dynamics. Whatever they were feeling and outwardly expressing, we feel to, and whatever we hear them saying about us or talking about with others, we take in without discretion and internalize as being a fact. Because we create it internally as an imaginary reality based on feelings, we perceive it as being real and therefore true. We listen to whatever is being said about us and we form a belief around it without questioning it, and it becomes a form of self-fulfilling prophecy. The subconscious isn’t literal like the conscious mind, and creates out of thematic ideas that it uses as metaphors.

If our parent has a tendency to scold us by telling us to “quit acting like an idiot”, we don’t have the evaluation skills to associate it with a particular behavior or act, and instead come to believe that we’re an idiot as a general rule. If our parent is upset and crying, or lashing out in anger, telling us that we ruined their life, we translate that into meaning we’re not loved or wanted, and we begin acting that way as a general theme that carries over into every aspect of our life. Once we internalize an idea and make it into an experience of reality as meaning something about us and about how others see us, it becomes a “core belief” as a primary life theme, which, as we go along we continue to create more experiences of the same kind in different relationships and situations, spawning correlating beliefs of a similar nature.

Our parent(s) not wanting us becomes everybody not wanting us. We develop all of our relationships in a way that results in us being rejected, ridiculed, blamed, disliked, and abandoned in the most basic sense. We then form a belief that everyone, our romantic partner, friends, and co-workers don’t want us, and we not only go into every situation with an attitude, intention, and expectation of not being wanted, we also unconsciously produce the behaviors that cause us to not be wanted. We often display an attitude of treating others in a way that makes them feel unwanted by us, causing them to respond to us in a like manner. The very behavior and reality we expect we also unconsciously produce that causes us to consistently be rejected, ignored, abandoned, or left out in the cold.

Because this is an unconscious process, we usually do it without any real awareness of what or how it is we’re doing it. Then, when the other person or group responds in kind by thinking that we don’t like or want to be around them, we create the experience of “once again” not being loved or wanted. Beliefs are the unconscious formula for consistently producing the reality of the belief that bridges the inner, imagined reality with the outer, actual reality to be of the same nature as a “type of experience”. We can have a tendency to do this our whole life without ever realizing that we’re actually the one doing it to ourselves and others.

The Nature of Core Beliefs

 We all form our core beliefs as our mental model produced in our formative years as our initial conditioning. A core belief is created while we’re in a primarily unconscious state as an imaginary reality produced by the emotion we were feeling at the time we formed it. A belief is a holistic pattern as a “model” used for perceiving that contains every ingredient (emotion, mood, thought, imagined reality, set of behaviors, memories, etc.) necessary to produce the reality of the belief, except for the rational, logical, and reasoning aspect. A core belief is used as the means for providing us with an “instant interpretation” of reality that transforms every objective fact or situation into the reality of the belief, making it difficult for us to realize that we’re the one creating it. Due to the fact that it appears to us as an honest evaluation of what’s actually happening, we can interpret even the most loving and caring behaviors to mean the opposite. When someone openly demonstrates wanting to be with us, we don’t trust it, think they’re lying, and instead of using it as evidence that contradicts and undermines our belief, we reshape it to conform to our belief, and continue to act as if it’s true.

This usually results from the fact that our entire paradigm used for perceiving the world is structured out of our core beliefs as a correlated system that all acts to explain, describe, validate, and justify our beliefs through every aspect of our perception. We usually don’t know how to accept a contradictory idea as possibly being true and create an experience of “being loved and wanted”. We don’t know how to “be” in that situation. We don’t know how to act as if we’re wanted. We’ll literally fight, accuse, and challenge anyone who claims to want us, until it makes them “not want us anymore”. Then we think, “ah ha, I knew it, you were just lying the whole time”, usually without realizing that we were hell-bent on creating it the whole time. We have no model for how to be in a situation where we honestly feel loved and wanted, and so we don’t know how to act.

Likewise, someone who believes they’re an “idiot” or stupid will continuously produce the behaviors that warrant them being called an idiot, because they don’t have a model for “being” smart. For this reason our belief system as our mental paradigm is only transformed through a gradual process of realizing our beliefs and consciously deciding to “question them” by considering contradictory evidence that will ultimately serve to modify them. It’s only through a continuous process of study and self-reflection that we’re able to begin incorporating new information that serves to grow and evolve our current ideas about our self and our life.

We can begin realizing our own unconscious tendencies and correct them through consciously developing new concepts of ourselves, embodying new feelings and qualities, and intentionally employing new ways of being and behaving. As we begin looking at life from a new perspective while intentionally embodying qualities as a new way of being, we can learn how to begin telling a new kind of story about our life. This is something that only we can do for ourselves through self-awareness that brings realization around the creative nature of our mind and our ability to create and transform ourselves. If someone else tries to interject contradictory evidence that discredits our beliefs about our self, we’ll argue to defend them as being true and accurate. And, as the saying goes . . . “whatever we argue to defend is ours to keep”. We have to open our mind in being willing to consider a new possibility for ourselves.

Our First Birth – How we become a Product of our Conditioning

This process is very important to understand in order to heal psychologically and in order to intentionally evolve our soul to higher levels of conscious empowerment by stepping into our true identity as higher creative beings. What we refer to as both our mind and soul is 3-fold in nature. What this means is that it’s a “whole unit” comprised of 3 aspects that perform different functions in creating the same thing. The mind and soul are synonymous terms and ideas that are ultimately referring to the same thing. The soul creates through the vehicle of the mind, just as the mind creates through the vehicle of the body. All three are actually extensions of the same being operating congruently on different levels of reality.

The soul can be thought of as a multiple-dimensional entity that’s comprised of information that’s organized into thematic, archetypal patterns that serves to give it all of its qualities, characteristics, and natural behaviors. It “draws on” higher dimensions of archetypal ideas as a means of creating itself within the lower dimension as a “unique individual” of its own making. The more complex and sophisticated the information used and more ordered it is, the more intelligent it is. The higher human soul differs from the lower, animal soul (which is a creation and extension of it) in the sense that it has the fully conscious aspect of the mind that allows it to become self-aware and learn through realizations obtained through its own self-created experiences. It also differs in status as a “sovereign being” that exists consciously on multiple planes, and forms an awareness of “itself” as a specific personality on two planes simultaneously.

What we refer to as the human soul originates on a plane that’s “higher” than this one and never fully manifests-descends into a physical body. While on the higher (spiritual) plane of its birth and origin the soul exists in an energetic state of polarity, which is referred to as “complementary opposites” of the same being. The soul is comprised of both a masculine (active) and passive (feminine) aspect that works together harmoniously to produce a unified reality as both an inner and outer experience of the same kind. Because the soul is energetic in nature and exists in a fundamental state of polarity, only the passive component is able to act as a “receiver” for information delivered through its active component, even as the means of communicating between parallel planes. As the feminine, subconscious aspect of the mind is impregnated with the seeded idea of the masculine, self-conscious aspect of the same mind, it gestates and grows the idea in the imagination as an inner reality that becomes the template as a theme for producing (organizing) an equivalent outer reality as an “experience”.

The two masculine-active (self-aware) aspects of the same mind can’t communicate directly with each other (even between planes), and so they have to communicate with each other through the feminine aspect they both share in common. All communication from our higher-self on a higher plane, comes through the subconscious mind as a thought, vision, or inner voice that seems to come to us out of the blue, and ultimately communicates an idea by forming it into a reality where the self-conscious (outer awareness) aspect of the mind can perceive it. As a thought pops into our mind and we begin thinking about it, we develop it into a detailed idea as an imagined reality that forms a “translucent image” that we “look through” in order to perceive that same idea as a natural part of our outer environment.

This is how what we call “guidance” from a higher source comes to us as a form of prophecy. The feminine aspect takes in the “idea” being projected into it by the masculine aspect of the higher mind that acts like a “seed”, and builds it into a living reality in the imagination, where it’s “magnetized” with our life-force and begins “vibrating” at the frequency of the form as a living pattern. All vibration has both a pattern as a thematic, metaphorical idea (archetype) in it, and a self-organizing mechanism that shapes the idea into a reality in our imagination. The more we think about it, the more we define it in sensory terms, shaping it into a detailed form where it automatically elicits a corresponding emotion.

This imagined reality as a well-developed (sensory) idea that’s been adapted to our life circumstances (mental model) and modified accordingly, begins vibrating at a certain frequency and resonates and connects us with the elements of that same idea in our outer environment. Just as our subconscious organizes the idea into an internal reality through adaptation that modifies it into a corresponding version of the same idea that can be applied naturally to our specific life situation, it simultaneously produces that same idea as a larger version that can be witnessed by the self-conscious mind as an outer reality. As we form an idea internally and magnetize it with sensation and feelings that cause it to vibrate (come alive), it produces a kind of gravitational field (resonates) that draws us into the same idea as an outer experience of the same kind.

Evolution – Adaptation and the Art of Becoming

As the higher soul divides and descends into a body on the lower, material plane of organized substance, it’s like a “seed” that grows and develops in order to become a unique version itself through an evolutionary process of adaptation and modification. As a higher soul we’re born into a material body where the same mind inherent in the entire animal, plant, and mineral kingdoms of the Earth’s plane is pregnant with the archetypal ideas of the masculine aspect of the higher mind. The self-conscious aspect of the mind, which is what most people think of as their “self” and their “mind”, is birthed through a natural growth process when the personality of the body is mature enough to become independent of its mother and family, and begins developing itself as an “individual”.

Our growth and development takes place predominately in four 7 year cycles, much like the seasons, which are comprised of two extremes and two gradual progressions between extremes. From birth until around 7 years of age, we’re fully in our subconscious mind and haven’t begun developing our self-conscious aspect, also commonly referred to as the “grey matter” of our brain, which is directly behind our forehead. Between 7 and 14 we begin forming our self-conscious where we begin separating from our parents, becoming more social, and begin thinking and problem solving for ourselves. Between 14 and 21, we consistently develop and strengthen our self-conscious mind and begin shaping our identity as an extension of our personality. We experiment with new ways of being that are different from our parents and family and try on new ideas to see how they make us feel about ourselves, and begin making conscious decisions as to who we’re going to be. Between 21 and 28, we’ve balanced both aspects of our subconscious-group mind and our self-conscious individual mind, and have become fully identified with our body and conditioning, and whatever life circumstances we grew up in.

From birth till around 8 years old, we exist in a fundamental state of hypnosis where we have no ability to screen and censor incoming information in order to make rational decisions about it, and we take in whatever we’re told and accept it as true and real, forming all of what becomes our “core beliefs”. We readily take on the emotions being expressed around us and are trained to the dynamics being acted out that we’re a natural part of. We don’t question anything or analyze it in any way, and haven’t developed the capacities of reason and logic. We’re literally programmed by our family and immediate environment to be of the same nature and lifestyle. We feel, experience, and act as a single unit with our family and social environment.

As we continue to grow and begin developing our self-conscious, self-aware mind and begin thinking for ourselves, we continue forming all of our perceptions out of our conditioned mental paradigm as an “extension” of it. We can only “perceive” in the outer world what “matches” and is of the same nature as our internal programming. We begin sensing ourselves as our body through our experiences and begin making small decisions for ourselves. As we continue to develop our ability to think for ourselves, our internal dialogue and basic thought-processes are formed as an extension or continuation of our formative conditioning. Our experience of our self and our life is formed out of the same mindset and “type of story” that we’ve been conditioned with.

As an adolescent, when we have experiences that are emotionally intense, we use our mind to try and make sense of them by what we tell ourselves about them. As we begin talking to ourselves as a means of reasoning and rationalizing, we interpret events in a way that gives them meaning. At this point, we’re still somewhat one with our parents and family unit as a fundamental mindset and haven’t begun forming clear ideas of ourselves as being separate from everyone else.

Due to the fact that we haven’t established boundaries or a true sense of ourselves as adults, capable of making decisions for ourselves based on our own values and perceptions, we continue to make everything out to be about us and we’re deeply affected by the attitude and behavior of others. If our parents are hurt or upset, we think we must have caused it or think we can fix it. It must have been our fault somehow, so we can change it by changing ourselves. If someone lashes out or calls us names, we believe it’s true and it becomes a part of our narrative. Whatever we hear being said about us by others, we believe to be true, and it becomes a form of self-fulfilling prophecy. Whatever we make something mean about others and the way things are also means that same thing about us. We don’t have the ability to separate ourselves from others because we’re still operating as a part of the group mind.

As we approach and enter into our teen-age years of adolescence, hormones and puberty come into play and we begin having new physical urges and mood swings. As we become more and more independent while also being socially active and engaged in constant outside activities, we still process everything through our conditioned mindset and the emotional states that have become natural as habits. As we begin exercising our ability to create our own experiences and try out new ways of being, they still come only as what’s an extension of the moods and dynamics that we’ve been trained to. Our relationships with our friends become an extension as a variation of the same relationship we had with our siblings. Whatever “type” of relationship was openly demonstrated for us by our parents becomes the same type of romantic relationships we form.

As we become adults, between 21 and 28 years old, we establish ourselves as independent of our parents and fully on our own. We form relationships as a tight network, enter into our careers, become parents ourselves, and so on, and we develop all of our tendencies that evolved out of our conditioning into routines, schedules, and methodical rituals that habituate them even further. Our identity has been fully established as the offspring of our personality and we’ve developed our “life-theme” as the model that we use to perceive and interpret all of our experiences as a congruent “type” of story. We’re always telling a certain kind of story about ourselves and everything else by how we think and form our perceptions of things. If you pay close attention you’ll notice that you’re always talking to yourself and explaining, describing, or telling a story about things as the means of creating how you experience them by fitting them congruently into your overall model, and how you then “sense yourself” through your own experiences.

Most people live their entire life out of their conditioning as being formed by others and their life conditions and circumstances without ever realizing that they can change it. Most are completely identified with their body and its personality and have no perception or awareness of themselves outside of their physical existence. They live their whole life in a hypnotic state and continue to create their experiences and tell the story born out of their mental and emotional programming. We often live out of a form of “auto-pilot” without ever realizing that as adults, with a fully developed mind, we can use the self-aware aspect of our mind to form new realizations that will allow us to make new decisions for our self and our life. We can intentionally employ ideas that we turn into vivid internal realities as the means of programming our own subconscious and begin creating ourselves and our life in a more conscious and intentional manner.

Once we begin to understand how our own mind operates to create our experiences of ourselves and our reality, we can resume the role of conditioning ourselves through a form of self-hypnosis. The subconscious is the powerhouse of the material plane and is the aspect of the mind that takes an idea (metaphor) in its seed form (potential state) and produces a physical equivalent as both our body and the outer reality of our body. We don’t have to transcend our conditioning or work through the “issues” of our childhood traumas, but simply assume the role of learning how to condition ourselves through the employment of our higher capacities as divine beings. We all have the ability to become self-aware and gain realizations about our true nature, and begin intentionally deciding who we are, what we want to create, and take deliberate action on our decisions in order to turn them into our reality.

Complementary Aspects of the Mind

The subconscious is the key and medium not only between the two material minds on the lower plane, but also between the higher (spiritual) and lower (material) plane. It’s our higher-self that possesses the higher creative capacity of “will” which acts to organize all of the events of the lower plane. Whatever we absorb into our mind as an idea and turn into an imagined thought that’s emotionally intense, acts as a “wish” or request for the higher aspect of the mind to orchestrate through a synchronized series of natural events. It doesn’t exercise will “over” us, but exists in union and harmony with all aspects of itself. We communicate wishes to our higher self through meditation, prayer, and internal visualization of the reality we want to experience.

Whenever we run a memory through our mind that was traumatic or emotionally intense in some way, we’re actually programming our subconscious with that idea as a theme saying “give me more of this”. As we think and imagine, whether about what we want or don’t want, we are requesting it from our higher-self as a desired experience of reality. Whatever we think about and picture in our mind with sensory intensity and emotion, serves as a command, directive and request for producing as an experience where every aspect of our mind cooperates in producing it. It’s through “imagined thoughts” that invoke strong emotions that we program our own mind in creating. We are always involved in a constant form of prayer as a request for creating as an experience through our normal, everyday thoughts. Our thoughts are literally “things” in their potential state.

None of us are victims of our conditioning or what happened to us, and we can all work in our own life to transform ourselves in whatever way we desire by learning how to operate the complementary aspects of our own mind. All creation in the material sense comes by impregnating your subconscious with the reality and type of experience you desire. By realizing you are not a product of your story about yourself, but the one telling the story “as” a reality. It’s only through the realization of what’s actually going on and our true identity as a higher creative being that we can let go of our attachment to our past, wake up in the midst of our creation and begin consciously directing the process in an intentional manner. As long as we continue to choose to remain unconscious and unaware of our true creative abilities, we remain a victim to our own conditioning and prone to the endless forms of brainwashing where we’re consistently being created by accepting and internalizing the ideas given to us by others. As in all forms of true healing, “awareness as realization” is what empowers us and produces a form of spontaneous transformation.

To say and continue to believe that you are the way you are because of what happened to you, how you were treated and taught to be by others, is choosing to remain hypnotized by an illusion of your own making. As you continue to live in a delusional state as a fundamental form of unconsciousness, you become like an animal that has no ability to be self-determined and create in a deliberate and precise manner. You are a victim to your own karma while continuing to create more karma of the same type. You simply repeat patterns over and over. By choosing to wake up and realize what’s really going on and why your life is the way it is, lays the foundation necessary for you to begin not only stepping into your creative power, but also deciding “who it is” you really want to be. Through conscious awareness we can form an “ideal” of our self that we use as the means of providing ourselves with a blueprint and step-by-step process of transformation.

Personal Transformation as our Second Birth

What we refer to as our “second birth” comes when we’re “born again” as a new and higher being while in the same body and life circumstances in a fully conscious and self-aware state. We’re no longer formed out of subliminal suggestions and emotional reactions given to us by others that we embody and make our own, but by our own volition and ability to consciously decide who we’re going to be in every moment and then use the conscious aspect of our mind to seed the subconscious aspect with the fully developed metaphorical idea that we want it to produce as an outer experience of ourselves as a reality. We create ourselves by creating how we experience reality. As we form our perception of reality we sense ourselves within that reality and identify with our own experience.

By consciously forming how we experience the events of our life, we can begin gaining direct insight into our own subconscious content and working with our mind in a deliberate manner in order to transform it. All reality is formed through our perception of it. All perception is the result of our mental paradigm which is structured out of correlated values, beliefs, preferences, attitudes, and memories, which form a vibratory frequency.  Out of our frequency as a mental model we form our perception of a reality that’s a projection of our mind. Our outer perception of reality contains both known and unknown aspects of ourselves. By becoming aware of our unconscious aspects through our perception of them as a natural part of our outer reality, we can act intentionally “on ourselves” to transform them.

While we think that reality exists independent of us and has nothing to do with us in the most basic sense, the fact is reality is formed as our “perception” and how we form our “experiences” based on our perception. The same outer reality, for example, can be experienced in entirely different ways based on what state of mind we’re in. When we’re happy and feeling inspired the same neutral set of circumstances is experienced in a completely different way than when we’re sad and depressed. What one person perceives as a tragedy is often a blessing in disguise. What one person sees as a limitation another sees as an opportunity. It’s not the outer environment itself that changes, but how we choose to experience it based on the mindset we consciously cultivate in perceiving it.

“13” – The Principle of Death, Regeneration, and Birth

There’s probably no number or idea that has been consistently misinterpreted to instill fear as a misunderstanding of the principle involved than this one. Yet by examining the occult meaning of this number we can gain a new understanding of the universal law it represents as the means of liberation for the human soul. The principle of death is called “Nun” and represents “motion” and its primary function is to walk, travel, depart, pass away, whirl, and to sail away or travel through water. The process of the soul’s transition at death is often depicted as traveling on a boat through water moving from one shore to another.

Movement produces life giving change and is the means for transformation as modifications that produce variations as a growth process. It’s represented by the symbol of the “fish” as the “Vesica Piscis” or “womb of the universe” out of which all things are born, and by the serpent, which is both the redeemer and the messiah. The fish and serpent (ligand and yoni) symbols are paramount to the doctrines of resurrection and reincarnation. Christ was represented by the symbol of the fish. Death is also symbolized by the sideways 8, the sign of infinity, and represents the “twin phases of life” as cyclical elastic movement between higher and lower planes. Only through death of the old can we be reborn in a higher form.

Sacred Geometry and the Principles of the Tarot

 All numbers provide us with a form of code as the laws involved in any process as a formula for how to work with it consciously. 1 + 3 = 4, as we withdraw attention (key 1) from an idea, it “frees up” the energy being used to give it life, making it available for directing into something else. As we direct the free energy as our attention into something else and develop it internally in our imagination (Key 3), we give life to the new idea and a form of transformation takes place. When we change our thoughts and what we give our energy to, we change what manifests as a result (Key 4). When we change the groundwork out of which we build our reality, the reality itself changes as a direct correspondence.

13 = “regenerative power” as fertility, fecundity, and productiveness that sprouts and grows new ideas as both internal and external realities. When we act to change a “cause” (mental awareness) we change the “effect” in exact proportion and equal measure. Whatever the nature of our most intimate thoughts always produce an equivalent outer reality. As we concentrate on an idea we bring it to life in our imagination and develop it into a detail scenario by shaping and defining it with specific attributes and qualities. As we develop ideas in our imagination by continuing to think about them we shape them into “internal representations” that serve as a metaphorical template that we look through in order to perceive the same type of ideas in our outer environment.

When we remove our attention from an idea and no longer act to give it life inside of us, it passes from our awareness freeing up our attention to be directed into something new. As we infuse a new idea with that same energy we adapt it to our current model to produce a new thought that gestates in our imagination until we eventually birth it as a new experience of reality. This principle is represented by a “swirling motion” (vibration) as a wheel or circular movement that symbolizes the life-cycle of an idea. Once an idea is manifest and its expression exhausted, a cycle is complete, and it lays the groundwork necessary for a new one to emerge in its place as a growth process of continuous transformation and regeneration.

13 is represented by the water element and is oriented in the south-west direction (of Metatron’s cube), and is often symbolized as a river and a boat sailing on the river as a means of crossing over from one side to the other. Water is symbolic of the “Mother substance” of life and is the ultimate symbol of transformation. It’s the Astral Light of the formative plane that’s elastic and fluid-like and is what shapes the etheric body as the blueprint for all living forms. Water rises from the sea (universal source) to become clouds that move across the landscape descending as rain, forming lakes and rivers that then flow back to the sea from whence it came. Life is a continuous process of transformation from one state to another, where we expand and express, then retract and process, then repeat the process indefinitely.

13 is associated with the zodiac sign of Scorpio, which is a water sign, and is exalted in Uranus (higher Soul), and governs the sex organs associated with reproduction and regeneration, and is connected with the 8th house of death. Scorpio is symbolic of transformation as 3 phases or states that form 1 evolutionary cycle. These 3 phases of development are represented by a scorpion while in its lowest phase of development, a serpent in its middle phase, and the eagle in its highest phase. 13 comes as the completion of 11 (karma), the fulfillment of 12 (self-sacrifice of initiation), and the undulation of 14 (creating a new vibration). The serpent represents the male energy, and the fish represents the yoni as the womb through which we give birth.

The mode of intelligence represented by 13 is “imaginative intelligence” (3) and reveals that all causation is mental in nature (1), and is birthed, transformed, and evolved into new forms through the faculty of the imagination (Key 3) to produce an equivalent physical manifestation (Key 4) as its offspring. All change comes by evolving ideas in the imagination to form new variations, or by birthing new ideas in place of old ones. We change ourselves by changing the thoughts and memories we use as the means of shaping ourselves. All personal change comes as a change in mental imagery. If you change the mental image the external form will change accordingly.

When the forces of change are misunderstood by the very mind that’s designed to direct them, they tend to cause fear. These forces of Nature are connected with reproduction and by right use of the imagination may be tamed and transformed so they can be utilized for the prolongation of life. Through understanding and correct use of the laws involved we can consciously direct the forces of change in overcoming death. In order for the correct understanding to be achieved, fear of death and dying must be overcome through right knowledge and the proper interpretation of physical dissolution. It’s not the soul that dies with the body, but only the identity formed in association with the personality of the body. The etheric body used to construct and operate the physical body of the personality dies with the body, while the soul ascends to a parallel plane. The human soul is in a constant state of growth and development as a means of self-creation and considers the confinement of a mundane life within an animal body to be true death. When the body dies the soul that inhabits it and gives it life is set free.

The skeleton is the image associated with 13 and is considered the physical organ of the soul’s essence (marrow). The skeleton of the body is necessary for movement and change from one place to another and transformation. It’s the framework that supports the whole body of physical existence. The soul’s essence, so to speak, resides in the bone marrow and is what produces the blood cells that nourish all other organs and systems of the body. Our blood chemistry is formed as an expression of our soul’s mental state, perceptions, and memory. As we create experiences and form reactions to our own thoughts, we’re constantly transforming the chemistry of our body to be of the same nature. What we consider the “veil” or mask that lies between life and death is perpetuated through change, transformation, and the soul’s passage from lower to higher planes as an continuous flow of consciousness.

The word “Nun” has growth and development for its basic meaning, symbolizing perpetuity as a continuous evolutionary process. In Biblical texts, Joshua was the son of Nun, and the great hero that Jesus was named after. Jesus was known as having 12 disciples (archetypes of zodiac) and was the 13th as the highest level of mastery that integrated them all in a harmonious state of self-perfection. In the 49th (4+9=13) chapter of Genesis (genes of Isis), Jacob is referred to as the “blessing” and described as the fruitful bough by the well whose branches run over the wall. It takes 49 days for the pineal gland (seat of the soul) to fully develop in the fetus, which governs the sexual organs of regeneration and is the means for accessing the “well of divine knowledge” of the higher dimensions from which the soul originates. It takes at least 49 days for the soul to be reborn in another body. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead, the transition through the “death phase” of life takes 49 days to complete.

The number 7 represents a complete unit of light as well as a complete cycle necessary (7 x 7 = 49 = 13 = 4) as the means of transmigrating into a new physical body. The entire cosmic order that’s written in the stars has liberation as its basis. It always tends towards freedom of the soul from the confinement of a single personality. The most common ideal shared by all humans as a basic motivation is freedom. As we adopt an “ideal” it becomes the object of our worship and we strive to become it. Jesus represented the “ideal man” and demonstrated the path of liberation as purifying and perfecting ourselves by employing virtuous qualities as the means of creating our self. All universal wisdom reveals that the entire cosmic order is designed as a dynamic process of creative freedom. Those who develop themselves to be virtuous in nature work to liberate their own soul while also serving the greater good of all mankind. As our soul ascends to higher dimensions by way of our deeds we blaze the pathway for others to follow.

There isn’t any force in the universe that’s hostile towards man or that acts to produce insurmountable obstacles to our freedom. All universal laws, when properly understood, provide the intelligence necessary for liberating ourselves from the ignorance of our own conditioning. Fear inhibits our ability to understand and causes us to imprison our soul in illusions of our own making. We only truly love what we understand, and understanding casts out all fear. It’s only through love that all higher knowledge is revealed to us. Through a deeper understanding of the law of death, comes freedom from the fear of death. Death is what allows the passing away of old ideas allowing new ones to be born in their place, and is the instrument of growth and development as a continuous evolutionary process of becoming our highest potential.

Psychological Application

Psychologically the emphasis is on the will and our ability to choose what we focus on and dwell in mentally and emotionally. Whatever we imagine in vivid sensory detail and concentrate on we impregnate ourselves with. As we change the ideas we use to shape and define ourselves, our old conception dies allowing us to form a new one in its place, and we grow ourselves accordingly. As our body constantly undergoes a natural process of death and regeneration, we’re programming our new cells with our thoughts and perceptions. Every few years we have a completely new body. Even our skeleton completely regenerates every 7 years. With the passing away of old cells a new generation of cells are formed to take their place. In the nucleus of every cell is implanted a subconscious response to your new patterns that provide the impulse to realize a new thought in the body’s structure and how it functions. Any cells that don’t die naturally and continue to grow and multiply instead, becomes a cancer that eventually kills the whole system. Death is a necessary part of life.

Through the realization of Key 12 (the Initiate) as surrendering your lower self to a higher ideal, your personality dies and a complete transformation takes place. In reality we die daily and are constantly deciding, although usually without awareness, what is born in its place. As we go to sleep every night we die to the day that’s ending and are resurrected every morning to begin a new day. Through the natural process of cell death, all of our old motives, petty ambitions, foolish opinions and prejudices gradually die out and their memory eliminated in the normal course of physical repair and rejuvenation. Little by little through a gradual process of transformation there’s a complete adjustment of one’s personal conceptions and the values we use to give life its meaning.

As we change our perspective (Key 12) from a personal one to a more universal one, the change can be so drastic that mystics the world over have come to refer to it as the “death of the self”. It’s by death and regeneration of the body cells that patterns created in the imagination become fixed in personal consciousness. Whatever consciousness we cultivate by way of imagined thoughts are literally embedded in our flesh. Our soul’s consciousness determines our health and nature of our physical existence. We know scientifically that our genes are programmed by our perceptions and our physical world is the manifestation of our soul’s consciousness. The key to creating within the material world lies in our ability to program our own subconscious mind.

Our subconscious is the unified mind that we share with all of humanity and the natural world. Our subconscious is constantly influencing the subconscious everyone and everything around us. As we telepathically influence the mind of everyone around us, they in turn act to program their own DNA so that everything forms a unified reality in a consistent and harmonious manner.  Memory as patterns of information imprinted in the astral light of the collective unconscious is what forms all physical structures and natural behaviors. By reforming our memory, we reform our mental and physical structure in a corresponding manner. Whatever we sow, we also reap. We experience every part and perspective of a much larger group dynamic. Every life time we play a different role in the same idea and develop ourselves accordingly. Death is the reaper where we turn the tables and experience life from a new perspective.

Interpreting the Numbers

In Sacred Geometry, which is the main mathematical system of the sacred sciences, all ideas formed as a well-defined sensory reality in the imagination produce an equivalent (and opposite) material manifestation. All numbers are a kind of code as a formula of the laws operating in a situation that provide us with the means for being able to work with it consciously. The formula is the intuitive basis for understanding the operation and process of creation that’s involved. We can only utilize intelligently what we understand practically. All conscious creation comes through practical use of universal laws.

1 + 3 = 4 – This code shows us the primary laws involved that are necessary for us to utilize in order to create in a conscious and intentional manner. 1 = Monad as the “mind” exists as a mental paradigm and has the ability to select an complementary idea that it then projects into the imagination of the subconscious where it’s concentrated on and developed into a coherent physical form. 3 = Triad as the imagination, which is the faculty of the mind used to develop an idea inwardly as a thought that becomes the etheric (shaped out of light-essence) template for projecting outwardly to form a corresponding physical manifestation. 4 = Tetrad, the number that represents material reality is produced as a “reflection” of the internal idea that becomes the “lens” through which we perceive that same idea as an outer reality. Both the inner and outer material world is the manifestation of the soul’s consciousness on multiple scales and planes simultaneously.

The same process that’s used to reshape reality as a correspondence to existing memory is also used to transform it. All memory is created by imagining a situation internally as a representation (personal interpretation) of an event, which becomes a kind of metaphorical theme that’s then replayed in the imagination over and over as a primary form of programming ourselves to consistently produce more realities of the same nature. All memory that’s continuously focused on and relived in the mind’s eye forms the perceptual lens that we use as the means of interpreting (organizing) all current events to be of the same nature and meaning as past events.

We use memory as the means of creating our self and our reality to be of the same metaphorical pattern. We transform our self and our life by working directly on our memories to adjust them by introducing new information that alters their pattern into a new configuration for producing a new version of reality as an experience. As we change our perspective our perception of reality changes accordingly. In order to grow and transform ourselves, we have to give up our story about things formed by continuing to live in the past and instead work creatively to form a new one. As we begin telling a new story we change our self as the author and main character of our own story and embody new qualities that form a new image of our self and a new way of life results. It’s only by mastering death that we learn how to truly live and create.

Death is a transformation of the soul that moves from one idea to another, as well as from one plane to another. If we fail to let ideas die in order to create something new in its place, we fail to grow. As we fail to grow we fail to thrive and it causes death for the soul. Change is necessary for growth, just as death of the cells is necessary for regeneration of new cells as a means of living. Death is the foundation of life which exists in a constant movement of birthing, maturing and transforming ideas as the means of creating new experiences of reality as a natural process of growth and development into higher states of being. Fear of death comes when we mistake our soul for being the temporary manifestation of the body instead of the consciousness that’s causing and producing it.

As we surrender the lower self and personality of the body to be a vehicle and instrument of the higher soul (12), we allow the old image of ourselves to die, and form a new one as an “ideal” in its place. We form an idea about ourselves that require us to strive and stretch in order to become it. As we transform our identity by reorienting ourselves to a new perspective of a higher nature, we alter the pattern being used and alter our vibratory frequency as a result (14). By changing the internal pattern and vibrating a new frequency, we change the outer world of appearances to become a correspondence to the new internal representation being used to experience it, and we reprogram the new cells of our body being generated to express in a new way. The mind always acts to shape the body to be a direct reflection and expression of it.

The Art of Creating Yourself as a Higher Level of Consciousness

       The most notable difference between humans and animals lies in our ability to create ourselves in an intentional and deliberate manner. We all suffer from a common dilemma due to the fact that we’re multidimensional beings and manifest into the world through an animal-like body, and as a result, have what we call both a higher and lower nature. We’re all born as children into our lower nature where only our subconscious is active and dominant, and is what forms our personality through how we’re conditioned by others in our formative years. All of our formative conditioning, which is what forms all of our core-beliefs that later spawn a whole series of correlated beliefs as our “belief-system” and mental paradigm, is accomplished while we’re in a primary form of hypnosis.

       We don’t develop our conscious, self-aware mind until we enter adolescence, where our primary nature is already established and we tend to continue the process of being shaped and determined by others and our social environment. The self-conscious aspect of our mind begins developing around seven or eight, and becomes fully developed as young adults. By the time we enter our mid to late twenties our self-conscious mind is fully developed and we’re capable of assuming the responsibility for creating ourselves, yet often don’t know how because we’ve never been taught. Very few of us are ever taught how to use our mind and imagination in order to choose how we want to be, and then act to willfully create ourselves in a deliberate and controlled manner.  

       We don’t need to undergo years of psychotherapy and numerous healing modalities as a means of finding ourselves or dissolving the psychological wounds that prevent us from living a fully conscious and self-aware life. We can’t begin accessing our true nature as our higher self while we’re submerged in and still identifying with the conditioned consciousness of our upbringing, which was formed out of an unconscious and unaware state. As long as we’re living the stories of our youth by replaying selected memories over and over, continuing to identify with them, we remain locked in a prison of our own making. We possess the key to our own freedom, but usually don’t realize it, or don’t know how to use it when we do realize it.

Forming an Image of Yourself

       Throughout our life from around 12 to 14 years on, we begin forming our higher faculties which involves creating our identity. Our identity, or what’s referred to as the “I” or “I am” of the higher Soul is the most natural way we self-create in an automatic fashion. As humans we form a personal identity that separates us from others while still fitting into the group mind. It’s by way of our ability to choose and actively create our own style and identity that we begin forging ourselves through the experiences we create of ourselves. As we associate ourselves with others, we act “on ourselves” to create ourselves to be like them in some way. As we both like and therefore relate to someone, or dislike and fail to relate to them, we shape an image of ourselves in relationship with them.

       Whatever traits and emotional states the people we maintain relationships with have and are actively and openly expressing, serves to develop those same emotions and traits in us. All true creation as the act of producing a “new element” through a unique combination of qualities comes naturally as part of our development through our relationships. By combining two qualities that are of a similar yet unique nature, we systematically produce a third as a new way of being and functioning. As we enter into relationship with different types of people they serve to stimulate us in new ways that bring out different qualities and ways of being in us and we develop those qualities by way of whatever dynamic we play out through the nature of the relationship itself. In this way, qualities and dynamics are always intimately related. As we embody a way of being we naturally assume acting out the same type of dynamic we used initially in actively expressing it.

Unconsciously Creating Ourselves

       Most people go through their entire life creating themselves through their relationships and who and what they associate with or live in near proximity of, without ever realizing it. This is what an “unconscious state” is, you don’t have an actual awareness or realization of what you’re doing to yourself or why, because you do it automatically without having to “think about it”. Thinking as its being used here, is when we step back for a moment, detach from the idea and emotions involved briefly, and view it from a purely non-personal perspective where we move out of our “story about” things and are able to intuitively perceive the laws that are operating instead. We form a momentary evaluation of ourselves in terms of how we’re “sensing ourselves” as that type of person, and we decide whether or not we’ll use it as the means of continuing to develop ourselves in that way.

       From an unconscious perspective we view everything from within our personal awareness acquired through our formative conditioning where we began forming a story about ourselves and life in general as a kind of theme. This story, formed as a way of trying to make sense out of what was happening to us while not possessing the ability to view it in a detached and logical manner, formed the basis for our “life theme” that we then continue to live out of as adults. The unconscious mind is instinctual and emotionally driven, which means it’s the state we were in during emotionally intense experiences that formed the meaning they had for us that we then began identifying with through the story we told ourselves about it. Because our identity is formed out of the meaningful story we’re always telling ourselves internally through our thoughts, feelings, and emotions, we can have trouble changing because we find it too difficult to give up our story about ourselves. It’s through our identity that we know “how to be” in different situations. To give up our story is to not know “who we are”.

       In order to create something new and different you have to let go of the old and step into unknown ideas about yourself where you create yourself as a different “type” of person. The motivating force of the subconscious mind is “self-preservation” and maintaining the status quo. It creates by repeating whatever patterns as habitual tendencies it’s been programmed with. It does this by way of maintaining consistent emotional states, which tend to run our thoughts and imagination, making it very powerful and somewhat hard to manage. Our subconscious produces all of our natural perceptions and behaviors, and is the essential means for all forms of personal transformation as self-facilitated growth and development.

       What this tells us is that in order to truly change as a means of actively creating ourselves, we have to not only work with the subconscious, but we also have to “speak to it” in its own language. One of the problems people have is they don’t realize that not only do the two aspects of their material mind speak and communicate in different ways, but also play different roles and functions in creating the same thing. We only change and grow ourselves while in a particular body and personality by learning how to use our self-conscious mind to direct and influence our subconscious, which is what it’s actually designed to do. The means by which we do this is by realizing the natural laws that govern the mind and learning how to work intelligently with them in a cooperative and intentional manner.

Self-Creation and the Art of Transmutation

       While many approach this idea by imagining that they need a clean slate, this is never the answer. All intentional self-creation, which is only possible as a mature adult with a fully developed self-conscious (grey matter of the brain) mind, comes as transformation of an existing quality and character trait to another that’s of a complementary nature. Habits are never “broke” or simply stopped, but are instead replaced by better, more beneficial habits. The largest part of our being is conducted below the level of awareness and comes as a natural way of being in the world that we’re doing all the time, even when we’re not aware of it or making it a point to do it. You know when you’ve actually changed when it becomes a natural part of your subconscious mind and you no longer have to produce it in a thoughtful and deliberate way. It simply becomes a natural part of your awareness and perception of the outer world, and forms natural and automatic behaviors as a result.

       All transformation comes through the act of altering the “state” of something. We move something from an existing state and set of conditions to another, more desirable state. The basic principle for doing this is through a practical understanding of polarity. All things not only exist in polarity to everything else, but also in a polar state of complementary opposites that are an inherent part of the same pattern. We have to remove our attention from the outer appearance of things and direct it instead to the “inner nature” that’s acting to give it life and animate it with a certain type of character. We have to move from thinking in materialistic terms and perceive energetically (spiritually) instead. The outer appearance of a being is somewhat irrelevant outside of the fact that it’s produced in relationship with the spiritual being inhabiting and using it to express through. All personal transformation only comes by way of intentionally developing your character, which is what produces all of your perceptions, attitude and style of thinking, emotions, and correlating behaviors and activities.

Self-Reflection and Realizing Your True Potential

       In order to consciously begin this dynamic process of self-creation, we have to start by first becoming aware of what exists within us as latent potential. We all come into this world as a Soul that has a specific design. Our design is formed out of a dynamic matrix of qualities and characteristics, which are formed by the personalization of archetypal energies we share with all of mankind (zodiac), that are either active or dormant, and are developed to certain degrees and potencies through our formative conditioning as children. Through our childhood conditioning only some aspects and qualities are stimulated and brought out in us, and then developed into strengths through the dynamics being played out by our family and prominent relationships, and others remain latent and untapped. So wherever you are and whoever you’ve become at this point in your life is due to a certain formula of active and latent potential.

         Whatever exists in you as underutilized potential exists as a form of raw, untried qualities that were developed to different degrees in previous lives, and are available for expression and continued development in this life. Whatever hasn’t been brought out and developed in us through life events and circumstances can be actively “chosen”, and brought out through active use of your will, or you can consciously place yourself in relationships of various sorts that will act to naturally stimulate them and provide the dynamics through which you can develop them. In the same manner, qualities that we’ve been trained to express in negative and unproductive or destructive ways, can be transformed through self-awareness and consciously choosing to replace them with their opposing complementary aspect.

Creating an Ideal

       Like all acts of conscious creation you have to begin by creating a vision or symbolic idea of what it is you’re going to create. Your vision for creating as a form of self-expression has to be undertaken through a form of inspiration. All transformation comes as growth of some kind, and the idea you create has to require you to “grow into it”. We only grow through effort and striving, so it needs to be something you aspire towards that creates a kind of “labor of love”. All possibility for growth only comes by making latent potential and energies active and outwardly expressive. We can only grow what’s already within us as an inactive part of our nature.

       We don’t ever grow and transform ourselves by acquiring something that we don’t already possess. The only thing that can be awakened in us is what’s already there in a dormant and inactive state. So in creating an “ideal” of yourself as your best possibility, never look outside or for someone else to tell you how you should be. This is purely an “inside job” and everything you need to undertake a transformational journey to your higher self is within you simply waiting to be discovered and brought to life through realization, actively choosing it, and willfully embodying it as the means for expressing yourself in a different way. This is something that only you do to yourself. As an adult with a fully developed self-conscious mind, nobody else is ever doing anything “to you” without your consent and willing participation.

       Your “ideal” can be thought of as a higher, more authentic and true version of yourself. It comes through the decision to develop yourself to be the best you can be. It’s the art of bringing your full potential into an active and expressive state. It’s creating a model as a kind of blueprint or diagram for transforming all qualities that have been developed in a negative and self-destructive manner. It becomes the model of yourself that you use as the means of self-reflecting and realizing all the qualities and traits in you that need to be transformed in order to achieve your highest possibility for self-creating as your normal way of being.

       An ideal provides you with the means for recognizing parts of yourself you don’t like to acknowledge or own so that you can finally act on yourself to change them in whatever way you want to. Your ideal self shouldn’t pertain to purely physical goals in terms of enhancing your body or acquiring worldly success, but rather to your inner essence and the qualities you naturally possess that are “causal” in nature, and act to systematically produce the equivalent outer manifestation as your perception and interpretation of reality. Our inner nature (Soul) always produces the outer nature as a by-product or equivalent analogy.

       What we refer to as “qualities” are metaphorical and therefore universal in nature, and when embodied and used to express yourself, produce a certain “way of being” that naturally causes you to live a certain way by telling a certain type of story. Our current personality and identity are produced automatically through the combination and formula of active energies as qualities that work to produce our natural characteristics. By changing the formula being used to actively self-express, we change our inner nature and how we naturally are in the world, and we begin “sensing ourselves” in new and different ways. So the first step required to consciously create yourself is to develop an idea about yourself that brings a heightened sense of awareness to all of your inner qualities, gifts, talents, special abilities, interests, likes and dislikes, traits, values, and attitude and beliefs, in order to form an objective and unbiased image of yourself as you currently exist. Then form an image of how you’d like to be instead as the full expression of all your special talents and abilities.

       Our ideal should be something only we create and should serve to invoke a deep feeling of reverence in us as the means of achieving it. It should be comprised of qualities and ways of being that we respect, admire, adore, honor, and ultimately fall in love with. It should inspire us with feelings of beauty, love, and devotion in its creation. All Artists always create out of a love for their subject and the joy of creating as an “experience”. If we create it in a way that makes us feel hard-pressed to become it through a form of drudgery, where we struggle and suffer in some way, then we not only won’t accomplish it, but will come to resent and ultimately resist it. It’s the attitude we employ that determines our approach and method. Whatever feeling we embody as the means of creating determines the actual outcome that’s produced.

       The outcomes of all goals are determined by the feeling and experience we create in pursuing it. If your ideal doesn’t inspire you with a kind of unconditional love for its creation, then you either need to keep working with it or start over with a different attitude. You don’t want to make it unrealistic, but rather even more realistic because it’s something that lives inside of you as a possibility for your life. You should focus on qualities and character traits that you want or would need as a way of “becoming it”. It’s not the physical body as an “image” that you’re going for, but rather the “type of person” you become as a way of being.

       Once you have your ideal formulated in a specific way, you can use it as a rule or general guide for making decisions and creating in all areas of your life. It becomes the vision and focal point for your life that provides you with the means for directing all of your activities and making moment by moment decisions by asking yourself “who am I?” and how am I going to be right now in relationship with this? It provides you with the outline for producing a whole series of smaller goals as the process necessary for achieving it in a step-by-step manner. You don’t want to try and make too many changes at once because it can become overwhelming and may only act instead to scatter your energies and prevent you from concentrating. Most life changes come as a sequence of activities where one lays the foundation necessary for the next one to systematically emerge and take place. One of the most common ways we sabotage ourselves is by bringing to many things into the picture all at once that serves to create an experience of struggling, loss, and suffering as a result.

       You want to pick one quality, habit or tendency, or one area of your life that you want to transform, concentrate all of your attention and effort into creating that, and don’t move onto the next until it’s been thoroughly accomplished as a “natural part of you”. You know when you’ve succeeded in apprehending or transforming a quality when it becomes a natural part of your perception and natural way of being without having to think about it or put effort into it. This usually takes around 40 days or 6 weeks to accomplish by “building it into the muscle” as a spontaneous part of your nature and identity. Once it becomes natural and automatic it lays the foundation necessary for you to move on to the next goal.

       The secret to creation and transformation lies in self-awareness, making clear decisions from a fully conscious state, and concentrating your mind without distractions or going unconscious and losing track of what you’re doing. It comes by forming a “devoted practice” where you concentrate on a single idea for the period of time it takes to turn it into a habit as a natural way of being in the world. If you lose your focus and forget what you’re doing for several days because you get distracted and caught up in stuff, reverting back to a fundamentally unconscious state, simply realize and become aware of it, and redirect your attention back onto your goal and continue practicing. The more you do this the easier it gets and the longer you can remain fully conscious in your life. All life skills only come by way of consistent and devoted practice as a love for the work itself.

Introspection, Self-Awareness, and Transforming Yourself by Learning how to Work through Your Own Tendencies

       One of the ways we keep ourselves locked into a dis-empowered position in our own life is through the tendency to believe that other people are the ones who “do things to us” beyond our control, and by always focusing on the other person in a situation while making what’s happening all about us somehow. We get emotionally triggered by something someone says or does and we instantly react by going unconscious and playing out the natural tendencies we’ve been conditioned with. We focus our attention on what we imagine the other person is “doing to us” by how they’re being and a whole preconditioned script begins playing out in our mind as our “perception” of the situation. We glaze over the object reality and what is in fact a neutral event and replace it with a subjective reality of our own making that we imagine to be real. The story we begin running through our mind forms our interpretation of it as an illusion born out of our past conditioning. Anytime we’re “reacting”, we’re instantly overcome with an emotional state that “takes over”, and we begin playing out our “issues” of the past in the present. We replace the current reality with a belief that shapes how we experience it through the story we tell ourselves about it that gives it meaning.

       There’s always a fundamental paradox playing out where we tend to focus all of our attention on the other person or external events and circumstances going on, while simultaneously telling ourselves a story that makes it all about us. Because of this natural tendency we form a belief around the idea that others are deliberately doing things to us that are beyond our control. They “make us” feel the way we do. Then, whatever they say about or to us we take personally and form a belief about ourselves out of the story we tell ourselves about it that explains, describes, and justifies it, and as a result, we use it as the means of shaping ourselves. This is the most natural way we’re shaped by other people without realizing it. We form a belief that others can attack, hurt, traumatize, betray, put us down, and basically control and determine us through their actions. We do this usually without ever realizing that this is actually something that we’re doing to ourselves in response to them.

Looking at the Nature of Reactive Behaviors

        All reactive behaviors come from an emotional trigger of some kind that instantly transforms us to an unconscious state where we begin acting out and creating the reality of our “issues”. It’s our conditioned behavior and model of the world that forms our perceptual lens and gives us an “instant reality” that we use in place of the current reality. As we’re being stimulated somehow, our mind immediately references all memories of the same feelings and emotions, and associates them to the current situation by saying “this is the same as that”. We give the present the same meaning as the past, which produces instant behavior through the story we tell ourselves about it, and act to produce the same type of reality as a result. This is how we continue to repeat the past in the present by playing out the same patterns as behavioral dynamics. Our past experiences give us a kind of preformed template as “instant interpretations” that don’t require us to think about them in order to form new patterns instead.

       We always frame any situation as a means of interpreting it in a way that allows us to continue telling a certain type of story. Our beliefs form perceptual filters that we use as a filtering system for abstracting and only utilizing small portions of information available in any situation, and organize it in whatever way we need to in order to continue playing out the reality of our beliefs. If someone points it out to us, we usually respond by explaining it in a way that justifies our right to feel that way. We’ll literally argue and defend our right to feel the way we do because we create it in a way that feels very real to us. We don’t realize that we’re actually making it up and creating it through our ability to perceive it.

How to Transform our Experiences

        All transformation and growth is something only we can do to ourselves and comes by way of self-awareness that allow us to see our own tendencies as a form of delusion and work through them to produce new types of experiences. We give our true power away to others by allowing them to control us, or we try to use our power inappropriately by trying to change the other person or situation instead of ourselves. We think that by changing the outer circumstances we’ll change our inner feelings about it. We imagine that in order to be alright we have to change the world around us that’s “making us” feel that way. We become heavily invested in trying to change other people’s perception, attitudes, and behaviors so that we don’t have to change our own, yet, in truth, we only have the power to change our own. So we approach and attempt to solve one delusion by creating another one designed to remedy it.

       We only step into our true power as a creative being when we begin turning our attention inward and self-reflect as the means of recognizing how it is that we’re always acting on ourselves to create all of our own experiences. We can realize that every situation that “triggers us” somehow is also providing us with an opportunity to become self-aware in the present moment where we can actually change it. We can begin this process by simply observing ourselves as the means of realizing how it is that we create our own internal state as our reaction to something. No one is causing us to react (unless we remain unconscious), but we’re the one that’s actually creating our reaction as an internal process. We can only work with what operates in our life at the unconscious level by forming awareness around it. It’s through the awareness that we can see the actual process taking place, realize how and why we’re doing it, and then act to modify it consciously.

Self-Reflection and Awareness

       It’s probably advisable to begin this process of transformation in situations where you’re only being mildly triggered so self-control is relatively easy, and practice faithfully until you get good at it and it starts becoming automatic. Then work your way up to more difficult ones. All change is produced in baby steps that are consistently taken. As you realize you’ve been triggered into what is normally a reactive state, refrain from reacting and instead turn your full attention inward. Notice where in your body you’re feeling the stimulus, what sensation it’s giving you, and what emotion it’s acting to invoke in you. As you concentrate on the feeling, relinquish all need to try and control what’s happening, and simply give yourself fully to the feeling inside of you allowing it to take on a life of its own. As it begins playing out, notice what it seems to be about, and what it’s showing you about yourself. What past experience are you naturally associating with it in order to give it meaning of some kind. The meaning you give it is what acts to shape your story about it which is what forms your experience of it.

       Let your story play out while simply witnessing it from as detached a perspective as you can. Don’t associate to the experience by “being in it, having it”, but rather view it from a dissociated position as if you were another person looking at it from the outside. This moves you from a subjective state to an objective one. We can only see the truth of a situation when we’re not directly experiencing the emotions involved. It’s the emotion that’s associated to the memory itself that acts to initiate the whole process and pulls up the memory in your mind’s eye as the filter used to look through in order to perceive the current situation to be the same as the past. Emotions produce illusions out of memories as a false reality that we use in place of the actual reality of the present moment in order to create the same type of experiences.

       As you begin forming a clear idea around what your reaction is all about, refrain from judging yourself in any way or going into some kind of dialogue that’s designed to explain and justify it. Whatever we argue to defend is ours to keep. This is how we stay locked into delusions of our own making. Then allow yourself to notice that they’re not doing anything “to you” and that you’re actually the one doing it through automatic processes of your own mind. Realize it has nothing to do with you unless you “make it” about you and your past. Allow yourself to realize that you’re creating a state of being upset, insulted, hurt, offended, not being worthy, betrayed, lied to, abandoned or not wanted, and so on. No one is “making you” feel that way, you’re actually the one doing it to yourself by the memories you’re using as the means of interpreting it to mean something. Nothing has meaning in and of itself outside of the one we give it.

       All you need to do in order to break a pattern as an unconscious tendency is to become intuitively aware of it. The only reason ideas of our past continue to be played out in the present as the means of creating our experiences is because they’re operating without our direct awareness. Reactive behaviors literally keep us in an unconscious state. By becoming aware of what you’re doing to actually produce the reaction, is all it takes to loosen its grip. The emotional trigger that produced the reaction begins subsiding and fading to the point where you can easily control it, and it eventually subsides altogether. Once you’re able to remain calm and stay fully conscious, and you’re no longer taking it personal or making it about you somehow, you form a different way of looking at it where you can intelligently choose how to respond and interact. In this way, you quit creating your life out of your past conditioning and can begin creating in a more deliberate and intentional manner. As you begin consciously creating your experiences through a calm inner state, you step into your true ability to transform yourself to a new level of being.

The Art of Self-Creation and the Power of an “Ideal”

In order to “create” something in a deliberate and intentional manner, we have to start by formulating an idea of what it is we’re creating and reason we’re creating it. As with any creative process, we have to start with an idea as an “ideal” of what we’re aspiring towards that moves us from a current condition or character, to a more desired one, that requires us to “transform” it. We have to create a firm idea of what we’re “acting on ourselves” to create. So in recognizing an undesirable trait or tendency, one that we don’t like and want to change, we have to simultaneously formulate in our mind the trait we want to replace it with. We have to form a clear idea of where, how, and who we are now, in our present state, and also where, who, and how we’ll be in our desired state. In this way, we take a common idea of ourselves and we evolve it into a higher state as a perfected and fully developed idea. Many people have been taught to take a negative attitude towards the idea of “perfection”, usually interpreting it to mean someone else’s idea for us, or some kind of standard set by others or society in an attempt to make us “feel as if we’re never good enough” and keeping us always trying to become what others (people, organizations, society) want us to be in order to fit in and conform, while of course, never really “measuring up”. But perfection in its positive use is a standard we create and set for ourselves, and use to hold ourselves to as a means of developing ourselves in very direct ways. In order to become the person we aspire to be, we have to become self-determined and discipline ourselves to refrain from old behaviors while employing new ones in their place. In order to grow and develop ourselves into a higher and more mature state, we have to form an idea of what that state is, and what current beliefs, attitudes, traits, tendencies, habits, behaviors, etc., contradict it and therefore act to prevent it.

We then have to form an idea of how those traits need to be transformed by employing complementary and opposite traits in their stay. All transformation, which is really a process of equilibrating forces that are active in our life, is undertaken through an understanding of sympathy and antipathy. By realizing and deciding which characteristics we’re currently employing that prevent us from becoming who we desire to be and know, because of this innate desire, we can employ the lawful process for changing it in a conscious and deliberate way. So knowing this, we have to learn how to undergo a creative process of any kind by first designing a detailed idea of what we’re actually creating, as well as what aspects we’ll transform as a means of creating it. Then we can use each end of the equation as a form of feedback to evaluate our progress from one idea to another. An ideal is where we take a basic idea and we develop it to be the best it can be in all aspects that are involved in composing it, so that it requires activation and use of our highest potential in order to achieve. It can also come as a process of removing all activity from a quality currently being expressed, and place our attention instead on latent potential, activating it, and bring it into expression by embodying it and using it in our life to create experiences that are of a new and different nature. But either way, what we’re talking about as a form of basic growth and development is a process of transformation from what is to what will be, as an evolutionary process that we initiate and undertake by way of will, imagination, and action. Anything that’s created in an intentional manner has to first be imagined. We’re only truly capable of doing what we can first imagine and see ourselves doing. By imagining it as a reality and an experience of it, we produce a kind of template for the subconscious that’s necessary for acting it out by “becoming it”.

All self-creation in the normal sense is a form of transformation because we’re always starting with or working out of our “self” as we’re already created, and simply continue the creative process of intentionally becoming. How we are created initially takes place as a natural, predominately unconscious process of formative conditioning, that’s sets the basis for what’s referred to as our “second birth” or “spiritual awakening”, where we pick up the unconscious process of self-creation, and produce  or undertake it with a sense of full self-awareness. This process requires us to become fully aware and use our will to become creative in situations where we were normally being created in an unconscious manner. Through this process of transformation from an unconscious state to one of self-awareness, where we realize how we’ve been shaped through various processes up to this point, we can work by way of the same processes while maintaining full awareness and exercising various forms of discipline to control what was previously operating in us as unconscious tendencies and employ conscious ones in their place. Any idea that’s not turned into an “ideal”, requiring you to aspire towards it, kills the life-force within you as your creative will. In this same light, every idea that’s made into an ideal as the highest possibility for that idea, requires conscious use of your life-force and willpower in order to create it. In order to grow and develop ourselves in new ways, we have to awaken and make active what was up to this point latent within us as unused potential. If we choose not to, and simply keep living out of our “conditioned self”, created in a haphazard way by others through a form of default due to our upbringing, then these forces as latent potential remain dormant and eventually become inaccessible because our identity becomes so habituated and fixed, that we can’t imagine ourselves being any other way. We become so identified with our stories about things as a way of being, that we can’t (don’t want to) let go of them, because we won’t “know who we are” without them. At this point in our life, usually mid-life, change at the most fundamental level becomes an identity crisis that can throw us into a tail-spin that we never fully recover from.

As we develop ourselves through our spiritual consciousness of true self-awareness, we act to return our “fixed mindset” to a more fluid and creative state where we’re always in the process of becoming by systematically employing new perspectives and new behaviors that cultivate new aspects within us. Employing new ways of being makes us fluent, lean, and flexible, and able to readily adapt to new situations by employing the behaviors most appropriate for creating within that situation as a primary means of personal growth that increases our capacity for expression and maximizes our full potential. So when becoming conscious and self-aware of your own life, and commanding your creative abilities to self-create, you must start by creating an ideal of yourself as perfected or as your “highest possibility” for utilizing your full potential. This ideal becomes a vision for your life as an image of yourself in terms of how you sense yourself and the identity you form by way of it. To create standards as a form of “moral code” that you hold yourself to without compromising, is the key to higher, intentional development that prevents you from cowering, giving in to weaknesses, or changing your mind mid-stream when maintaining the new standard becomes difficult or inconvenient.

Once this ideal of yourself is firmly formed in your mind it provides a template for designing a strategy for implementing and creating it. This strategy needs to be broken down into a step-by-step process of logical progression that’s implemented gradually and consistently in stages and by working with single aspects at a time that make up the whole, and setting a reasonable time-frame for accomplishing one before moving onto another. The accomplishment of one transformed trait lays the foundation necessary for the next as a synchronistic flow of growth that lays the foundation of an accumulative, building process. Change that takes place gradually, is readily integrated and synthesized into your mental paradigm, and can be attained without an arduous struggle or heavy sense of suffering, which always accompanies change of our fundamental habits or ways of being. Because we become aware of what we previously engaged in without awareness, it acts to amplify or intensify the feelings involved. We can also gain an awareness of the forces at work that served to motivate and maintain the behavior, giving us a new form of self-awareness that can simultaneously produce a heightened sense of struggling to exercise direct control over them by abstaining or refraining, while simultaneously replacing them with new behaviors that take a while to grow accustomed to and fail in the most basic sense to satisfy the reasons we had for producing and maintaining the old behavior.  A new behavior has to be implemented willfully for a period of time, roughly forty days or six weeks, before it becomes natural, build into the muscle, and we begin doing it in an automatic fashion. Anytime we look to transform a habitual attitude and behavior of some kind, we have to become aware of the reason we had for maintaining that behavior. What need or desire does it serve to satisfy? What kind of stimulation triggers it in us automatically? What attitudes in others appeal to it and bring it out in us? What is the behavior or attitude a natural response to? What is the reason we have for maintaining it? As we become clear on why we developed the tendency as a behavior, we can either transform the desire and need motivating it through the awareness itself, or we can find a different, more productive and beneficial behavior to satisfy the same need. As we choose a new quality and behavior to employ in its place, we can form a clear idea around the reason we’re choosing to employ it, what it will do for us, and how it will change the nature of our experiences as a result. We always have to become clear on the reasons we have for doing whatever it is we’re doing, and at the same time use this reason to gauge and evaluate the accuracy of the results it produces, making any necessary adjustments until we get it to where it produces consistent results.  We have to transform the “reason” for the change as well as the actual change itself.

Once the new idea, perspective, and behaviors become natural and easy to maintain, we’re ready to implement another step. We should not do more than one at a time, because concentrated thought is the key to manifesting physical realities as the expression of an idea, and we want to avoid creating a feeling of suffering, or missing and longing for what we’re giving up. One of the most notorious ways we sabotage ourselves right from the beginning, is by attempting to much change all at once, which makes it overwhelming and creates a feeling of constant struggle and suffering that makes the change seem ungratifying or somehow worse than the previous state. Change undertaken gradually allows for constant modifications to our paradigm, which then acts to naturally produce and maintain the change as a part of our normal consciousness. Trying to change too much to fast doesn’t properly establish the paradigm necessary to naturally produce and maintain a new way of being as a natural and automatic function. Once a paradigm shift takes place through the integration of the small change, it’s modified and able to support continued change as a natural growth process. The change itself can now be described, explained and defined by the paradigm creating it as being of the same nature and thereby naturally producing a consistent experience of reality as the actualization and outer perception of the change. This transformative process operates according to law and is the case whether we’re talking about a person, relationship, situation, or business. Change that’s gradual is easily incorporated and goes unnoticed. It’s readily adapted and adjusted to as a form of equalization that reinstates harmony within the system, setting the foundation necessary for the next step of a larger process to be implemented. Small changes incorporated consistently produce slight modification as a synchronized movement that acts naturally to adjust the whole system to support it. If change is introduced without allowing time for adjustment and modification as a new function requiring the whole system, then as soon as it hits a point where it’s not supported, the system “acts on it” (the change) to transform it according to the system, and back into its original behavior.

All natural processes are produced by our paradigm and our capacity to create in a way that’s consistent and thoroughly maintained, which only comes by way of our paradigm. All “permanent change” requires modification and reformation of our mental paradigm. Without it, at some point, we relapse and fall back into the old behavior and way of doing things. All change should be designed by us, because it’s only us that have the true ability to act on ourselves to create ourselves. All change needs to work in harmony with existing natural tendencies already inherent in us in a congruent and harmonious manner of cooperation, by simply employing those same tendencies in a new manner and by way of new means. Change that goes against our nature and contradicts our values and beliefs, can’t actually be produced by us in a natural fashion, nor maintained for any extended period of time. So the “ideal” created as a “model” for self-creating, should always comply and be harmonious with our values and beliefs. We should approach all desired change by first addressing our values and beliefs regarding it by examining them thoroughly, identifying where the contradiction takes place, then adjust all aspects until they are congruent with one another and interact in a harmonious fashion to produce a consistent experience of reality. We also have to notice what emotions play out in any situation and act to control not only our thought process, but also our automatic behaviors. If we have strong emotions that contradict and undermine what we’re attempting to implement, then the emotions tend to win out by sabotaging all conscious efforts through automatic behaviors. We have to instead identify our own emotional reactions to certain ideas, gaining awareness around them, and then forming new associations to our desired change, removing triggers around them that activate negative emotions in response to them, while intentionally associating positive emotions to our desired change. Making the idea compelling by infusing it with positive emotions and associations is crucial for producing change out of a strong desire for it while associating very positive and gratifying ideas or experiences with it. This also acts to create how we experience the change, which is the same feeling we infuse the reality of the change with, and its accomplishment or attainment will simply act to give us more of that same feeling.

The change desired should always be undertaken with a sense of enthusiasm and form of excitement that gives us a sense of joy and contentment around it. In this way, once the change is established as our reality, it serves to give us more of that same feeling. If we pursue something from an experience of stress, suffering, loss, or feeling overwhelmed, attaining it simply creates the experience that promotes that feeling and keeps it going through the attempt to maintain it. We have to not only serve to “create it”, but also act naturally and without thought or effort to “maintain it”. It has to become a natural part of our make-up that’s all done in a natural fashion. The feeling we form around an idea, shapes how we experience that idea as a personal reality. So it’s important to gain awareness around the reason for the change. Form clarity as to what the change will give us, how we’ll benefit from it, and what will it allow us to do that we currently can’t, and so on. So if we decide, for example, to transform fear of some kind into courage, we have to identify how we’ll benefit from that and what it will produce in our life as a result. We have to cultivate the idea of courage in a way that makes us fall in love with ourselves for being that way. We have to focus all of our attention away from what made us feel afraid and onto how we’ll benefit by creating the experience of courage and what it’ll bring into our life as a result. We have to actively and intentionally choose courage in place of fear, and act it out in order to change our experience of ourselves and the nature of our reality. Dr. Linda Gadbois

Emotions, Dynamics, and Reactive Behaviors – How we become Who and How we are

One of the easiest ways to understand how we become the way we are is to look at the natural relationship that exists between the inner and the outer, and between ourselves and another. We are all born into this world as a seeded inner core of qualities and characteristics that are “brought out in us” through interactions, relationships, and dynamics of some form as our formative conditioning (birth till around puberty) that form and establish our personality and natural tendencies that we continue creating out of throughout the remainder of our life in a purely unconscious and natural manner. As children, we don’t begin developing the ability to think and consciously make decisions for ourselves until around 10 to 14 years of age. We’re born into a fully active subconscious mind, which is passive (absorbs and processes outside information) and instinctual (automatic) in nature, emotionally driven, present in time, and “experiential” in nature. It doesn’t think in rational and logical terms (required to make decisions), but through pictures and scenarios as an experience. It’s fully present in the moment (no awareness of time), and isn’t distracted or consumed with thoughts of the past or future, like the conscious “talking mind”. It governs all of what we could call involuntary and some voluntary behaviors of the body through emotions and impulses of some sort, and based on suggestions given to it by other people.

In the most natural sense, we’re constantly being stimulated internally by everyone and everything around us. As we’re stimulated, it activates in us corresponding and complementary qualities that are of the same nature, bringing them out in us through an active state, where we “match” the state of the being or event we’re interacting with, and we express those qualities as a joint-reality through the dynamic that’s being played out. Whatever qualities are stimulated and brought into an active and creative state consistently and in an on-going manner, are developed as strengths while simultaneously acquiring the “dynamic” as a tendency. As we create experiences out of those qualities and dynamics, we “sense ourselves” through them, associate and identify with them, and “become them” as a natural part of our perspective, attitude, and behaviors.

The outside world can only act to call forth in us what already exists in us as a natural part of our constitution and predisposition. It doesn’t act to “give us qualities” that we don’t already possess, but simply develop the qualities that are of a similar and complementary nature that we share in common. Naturally, whatever qualities are consistently stimulated and used to express as a way of creating our experiences, become exercised, well-developed, and a dominate part of our character. Other qualities that aren’t stimulated very often are more subtle in nature, unfamiliar to us, and less developed. Still other qualities that are seldom ever or have never been stimulated in us, remain dormant in us as a form of latent potential.

As we go through life, because we’re naturally prone to repeating and living out of our conditioning and well-developed aspects of our character, we usually simply walk through life repeating patterns, naturally forming the same type of relationships that play out the same type of dynamics, unconsciously place ourselves in the same type of situations and environments, and act, for the most part, in a purely unconscious and habitual manner, without ever really realizing that that’s what we’re doing or that we have the ability to change it. Most live out of whatever comes natural to them and fail almost completely to recognize the patterns operating in their life.

Anytime we find ourselves in new and untried situations or relationships, we can feel awkward, unsure of ourselves, and overwhelmed with deep seated feelings of insecurity. We encounter a part of ourselves we’re not familiar with, and we don’t know what to do or how to be. We can fail to relate in the most basic sense, and not feel capable of playing the role we’ve been cast into. There’s usually two basic ways to interpret this, one is that the qualities necessary to participate in the dynamic or activity exist within us as potential that hasn’t been exercised, embodied, or developed, so it feels new to us, or, that we don’t possess the qualities and characteristics necessary, and so the situation isn’t stimulating at all and is not serving to bring anything out in us, and we don’t relate or identify with it in any way, nor do we want to.

For the most part we are all walking through life in a predominately unconscious state where we lack a fundamental awareness of the natural processes going on within us and around us as a natural part of our feelings, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Because all behavior is produced in a natural and automatic fashion by our unconscious mind as our personality, we often have no real awareness of what we’re actually doing or why. Emotions, which are freely being transmitted throughout the astral plane (atmosphere) act as a powerful stimulus that renders us unconscious, produce illusions as memories in place of objective neutral reality, and cause us to act and play out whole behavioral dynamics in an automatic fashion as a “reaction”.

Anytime we’re reacting to someone or something, we’re literally being controlled by it by becoming just like it. We instantly receive the emotional charge, have a strong internal reaction that instantly references and pulls up a memory formed out of the same emotion that becomes our perceptual lens as a template for producing an automatic reality that says “this is the same as that” (of the same emotion and meaning), and we act the same way as an automatic process. The subconscious is the aspect of the mind that produces, stores, and utilizes memory to produce instant interpretations of reality and automated behaviors. The emotion we were experiencing when we formed the memory is what gives the event the meaning it has, and is what connects the present to the past as being of the same meaning and idea. This memory, as a whole dynamic and reality, provides the subconscious with a pattern that it repeats and uses to create more of the same type of experiences. All reactive behavior is automated and we create out of a primarily unconscious state to create more of the past in the present.

Anytime we’re living out of our emotions, or are strongly affected by the emotions of others being projected at us or openly expressed around us, and dwell in emotional states inwardly by thinking and replaying memories associated with them over and over in a variety of ways, we’re literally being controlled and determined by others and our conditioning, and creating our life in a delusional manner. We’re tossed about and jerked around by the emotions we internalize as realities, and the will of others. The most predominate way we’re manipulated, seduced, and influenced by others is through emotions. As we’re stimulated and allow the emotions into our mind and body, allowing them to take hold and start running our thoughts, we form illusions out of them that we then relate and identify with, sensing our self as them, and they shape and determine us as a result. The patterns of our conditioning as dynamics, which are emotionally driven, have a very magnetic quality to them, and we can feel as if we get drawn into them even when intellectually we know we don’t want to. It’s as if we can’t seem to help it.

When we’re in a situation where we’re being stimulated by someone who’s outwardly being angry and hostel and is upset or attacking us, and we have that momentary realization of how they’re making us feel and what kind of person they are, and we’re on the verge of reacting by becoming just like them, and letting them “have it”, or “giving them back their own medicine”, we can also realize that in doing so we “become” just like them. We become the same type of person and behave (and self-create) in the same way. We bring the same qualities and characteristics into expression, invest in the same illusion, and create in the same manner. When this happens we’re being fully controlled and shaped to be just like this person. We give our will over to this person and give them free reigns in creating us to be the way we are. We “willingly create an experience of ourselves” as being the same way and the same type of person.

The more we willingly participate in reactive behavior brought on by emotional charges, the more we strengthen those traits and cooperate in co-creating the illusions that ensue from them, and we accumulate memories of ourselves being that way, and they become a natural part of our normal behavior where we begin playing them out more and more. The more we cooperatively participate in emotions and behaviors, the more readily and easily we’re stimulated by them and engage in a natural and unconscious way. We develop them into strengths and employ them as our normal emotional state. Our resistance to them lowers and we begin building their reality into our story about things in a way that makes sense and validates and justifies them as appropriate and rightfully warranted. Once this happens, they become a natural part of us.

Through the recognition and awareness of what’s actually happening and why, we can not only prevent the emotion being projected at us from ever entering and taking hold within us, and resist it by refraining from acting on it until it fades, and in the moment of calm that immediately precedes it, we can realize that we have a choice. We can either become just like this person in kind, allowing their mentality to infect us, or, through the awareness itself, keep it outside of us and not let it affect us. Anytime we don’t merge into the same emotional state as another, we act energetically to neutralize it. We don’t feed and amplify it by giving it our life-force energy. If we react and take it on, we amplify and multiply it. No matter what our choice is, and what actions we take based on our decisions, we create ourselves accordingly.

If you tend to be very sensitive and vulnerable to emotions (as most of us are) and have trouble resisting them, try a few practices that will allow you to become more aware of them in the sense of what’s actually happening when you’re experiencing them. There are two primary ways we experience emotions, one is because they’re being expressed, projected, and transmitted through the atmosphere and act to “enter into” and stimulate us internally, and the other is they come as a reaction to our own thoughts. In both instances, simply be present with what’s happening, and self-reflect or observe the process from a detached perspective of what’s happening within you and why.

When reflecting on emotions being projected at you, it’s best to start with ones that are mild to moderate (they’re not as gripping), and remove your attention completely from the other person or what’s being said or done, and simply turn your full awareness inward and become aware of how you’re being stimulated. Notice where the stimulus is located in your body (heart, stomach, sexual organs, etc.) and how its making you feel. Describe the feeling in sensory terms (buzzy, tingly, sinking, warm, stabbing, queasy, arousing, etc.) As you realize how you’re feeling because of it, become aware of how you want to react. Allow the initial impulse to momentarily play out in your mind. What behavior is it acting to produce in you in an automatic fashion? As you become aware of the behavior it’s acting to prompt in an impulsive manner based on how you’re feeling, notice what memory comes to mind or what past event you’re relating it to that was of a similar nature and caused you to feel the same way. Then allow yourself to play out the meaning of the memory in terms of what you told yourself about it, and what it meant about you and other people as a result. Your only goal is to gain a full awareness around the nature of what’s actually happening in you due to the stimulus. Awareness and self-realization is all it takes to bring it under control and refrain from reacting while maintaining a clear mind out of which you can calmly decide how you want to respond.

In terms of becoming aware of your own self-induced emotional states, realize that thought and emotion are always connected and of a complementary nature. We’re always either producing our emotions based on what we’re focused on or thinking about, or our thoughts emerge naturally as an expression of how we feel. Anytime a mood prevails or emotions swell up inside of you and starts consuming you, notice what it is you’re focused on and playing out in your mind as a memory or idea, and what you’re telling yourself about it. Then realize that if you simply change what you’re focused on and thinking about, the emotion associated with it fades and changes accordingly. Learn how to see the natural relationship that exists between feelings, emotions, thoughts, memory, and behaviors or activities. Notice that our state-of-mind is created by three complementary factors, what we’re focused on, what we’re telling ourselves about what we’re focused on that gives it meaning, and our physiology. Change any one of these, and the other two automatically change accordingly. If you feel you can’t control your focus or thoughts, change what you’re doing with your body. If sitting, get up and move around. If slumped over or feeling tired, sit up straight or get up and engage in vigorous activity of some sort. As you change what you’re doing, your mood, outlook, and thoughts change accordingly.

By becoming more aware of the relationships and operations of our mind and body, we can begin learning how to manage our own mental and emotional states. All abilities to utilize our own creative faculties comes through self-awareness and our ability to actively choose where we were once unaware, and willfully act out our choices to create new experiences of ourselves. In order to operate our own mind, we have to gain knowledge of our own subconscious mind and our ability to direct and guide it using our conscious mind. All unconscious and automatic processes can only be brought under control and utilized in an intentional manner by becoming aware of them. We can only work with what we’re aware of. Self-awareness is the key to life and the pathway to self-mastery.

In situations where we’re being stimulated by others or events, we have to notice what quality and “way of being” it’s acting to bring out in us, and who we become by expressing through it. Notice that people are always acting on us to influence us to become “like” them as a way of being and acting. All relationships we form at all levels of our life serve to naturally transform us by way of this process. It’s a fundamental process of cause and effect, stimulus that produces a like response, and action that produces and equal or greater reaction. At the energetic level of attributes, qualities, and characteristics, everything is produced, modified, and evolved through resonance, sympathetic induction, and coherence between two complementary systems. Once you realize it and form a fundamental understanding of it, learn how to use it consciously in a deliberate and intentional manner to develop yourself by way of it. Always work within the natural laws involved to create within the material plane.

The 3rd-Eye, Pineal Gland, and the Subconscious Mind – The Gateway to the Heavens

All of life as we know it exists as entities that are dual in nature as a field of energy that’s bound to a material core or body of some kind. The material body, which is made of a primarily liquid crystalline structure, serves as the passive component to consciousness, which is its life-giving, active component. The primary law of the mind, soul, and self, is represented in Sacred Geometry as a sphere with a solid kernel or dot in the center called the Monad. This also represents the principles of light (photons) being dual in nature as both the particle and the wave simultaneously. This tells us that there’s no meaningful way to separate the body from the mind, because they’re ultimately the same thing at different degrees of density, and as a form of “step-down process” of vibration between multiple planes. This model, the basic model of all life, operates through what we call a “local” and “non-local” mind in quantum physics, that also demonstrates that it’s possible for a particle, which is a subtle body, to be located in two places at once within the greater field of which it’s a part, and for both (or more) of these parts, though they appear separate, to continue functioning as “one” (entanglement).

What we refer to as the “3rd-Eye” is the subtle body of the Pineal gland, and is what operates the Pineal to produce a physical effect within the body and material plane as the manifestation of ideas that it acts as the receiver for. The Pineal is an oval, pine cone shaped organ that’s filled with crystal rods and cones (much like physical eyes and ears) that float in a crystalline fluid, and has a protruding rod or finger at one end that “vibrates” or wobbles when it’s “active”. The Pineal emanates and projects an electromagnetic field that creates a form of “invisible shield” or sphere that encapsulates it in an egg-shaped energy field that acts as the tuner for drawing in other electromagnetic fields vibrating at the same frequency. Fluid, as water of some form, is also crystalline in nature, though not as dense as solid crystal (water and earth used to be considered the same element in different states), and is what produces or is nearly always accompanied by salt or sand.  All crystals act as a natural tuner, receiver, battery, transmitter, and amplifier for energy as frequencies that are electromagnetic waves that carry information. Likewise, crystal and water also store information as memory, and are “chargeable” through various forms of mental uploads as thoughts, emotions, and intentions.

The Pineal is said to be the “seat of the soul” and is the point in the body where the soul, as a field of information (memory) or essence (coagulated energy), not only enters and leaves the body, but remains anchored and energetically bonded to the body throughout its lifetime, and is what serves to inform, animate, and regenerate the body, giving it life. The 3rd-eye and the pineal has been traditionally symbolized by what’s called the “axis mundi”, as the axis the world turns on and the place where gods (knowledge as living principles) come and go, and is often illustrated by the king or god standing on a mountain top. The soul of the body is what initially “in-forms” it as a base frequency that becomes the tuning mechanism for accessing that same frequency in the Ether or Universal Mind that surrounds it as the atmosphere and higher dimensions, and acts as a receiver that draws in (resonates with), absorbs (sympathetic induction), and integrates (assimilates) more of the same type of information.

While we tend to think (have been taught) that the brain itself gives rise to thought and produces consciousness, the fact may be that the brain, like the whole body, is more of a receiver and transducer for consciousness which “gives the brain and body” the thoughts as “seeded ideas” that it then thinks about and develops into realities as the experience of those thoughts. Because we “receive thoughts” in their potential state, and develop them through a process of adaptation and modification to form a unique version from a located and specific perspective within a given set of circumstances and conditions, we imagine our thoughts are our own creation and something we generate and produce on our own in an independent fashion. All reality is produced as an outer experience of an inner thought that comes as a unique combination of the universal and the individual that forms dynamic relationship. So while we are not the originator of our thoughts in the most basic sense, we are the one that develops the idea into a personalized and unique version and the co-creator of the reality it produces. This follows the idea that the “original creation” of the world was left unfinished, so we could finish it by exercising our creative abilities.

The pineal is shaped like the Vesica Pisces, which is the Dyad of Sacred Geometry, which represents the “womb of the universe” where two complementary opposites as a passive vessel and active force come together through resonance and sympathetic induction, joined by the same center or inner nature, and together form an “interference pattern” as the merging and overlapping of the two fields. These two fields act “on each other” to influence each other to form a new and altered vibration as a reality that’s a combination of both. Through a process of adaptation, qualities that are shared are amplified and enhanced, while qualities that contradict each other are cancelled out and neutralized, organizing it into a new pattern. This process operates by the same principle as the DNA of the body that takes two strands of information (male and female) and forms a new sequence by turning on some features, while turning off other ones, producing a variation that combines complementary qualities and characteristics to form a new variation as a unique and individual being. Through this same method, universal archetypes as a potential (unformed) idea is used as a template to form a personal creation as a specific and well-defined version of that idea, altering the original vibration and forming coherence as a new pattern and offspring of the original idea.

The 3rd-Eye is also represented as a triangle or pyramid with a single eye in the center, also called the “Eye of Horus”, offspring and son of Isis and Osiris. The upper tip of the triangle is the single exalted point formed between two points as their unification or unique combination. In order for an existing system to grow and evolve into something more or different, new attributes and qualities need to be introduced that are close enough to the original that they can be readily absorbed and utilized to produce a new and upgraded version.  All evolution takes place through diversity that’s congruently absorbed into the existing system, and acts to re-inform it, giving it new attributes and qualities by “turning them on”, while switching others ones off, forming a new expression as a form of “death of the old and birth of the new”, as a basic form of self-regeneration.

All shapes and structures give us clues as to how something functions as an analogy. The pineal, shaped like a pine cone, which is loaded with seeds that contain a multitude of “potential trees”, spontaneously opens to release those seeds through ripening, fire, or heat. Fire and heat (light) causes an expansion (pressure) that opens and releases the seeds as ideas in their potential state. Like the blazing Phoenix, death by fire is followed by rebirth from the ashes. It’s only through the death of one aspect that another can be born in its place. The pineal, like the pine cone secrets resin as DMT, historically referred to as the “Golden Elixir” of spiritual awakening and transformation, that’s the “key to ascension”. The word resin, when the vowels are reversed, spells “risen”, and is the method by which we rise and transcend to higher dimensions.

DMT is the chemical hormone that produces the state necessary for us to experience other dimensions through an “out of body experience” where our consciousness operates outside of and independent of the body, which is why its associated with the “death experience” as consciousness freely moving into another dimension apart from the body. This is why the spontaneous visions as the experience that occurs during the near-death-experience, is associated with DMT and the pineal gland.  DMT is a psychoactive chemical as a “psychedelic” that produces what we call hallucinations that are in fact the direct experience of parallel dimensions that require a certain state-of-mind in order to experience. In near-death-experiences the soul leaves the body, rises above it and witnesses it as being dead, functioning independent of it, yet still within the same space and time (plane). When the soul “reenters the body”, it does so through the top of the head. It enters through the gateway of the body, the pineal, and the Vesica Pisces as the doorway between dimensions.

The Pineal, which is also referred to as the “Philosophers Stone”, symbolized by two serpents (masculine and feminine) wrapped around a stone that’s shaped like an egg. The two serpents represent the electromagnetic currents that move up the spine (33 steps of Jacobs’s ladder) to the Pineal, activating (energizing) it, as the “winged globe”, single eye that fills the body with light, or pine cone releasing its seeds, as spiritual rebirth. The Pineal regulates light and the cycles of time (arcadia rhythm), our sleep (dark) and wake (light) cycles, the procession of the Equinoxes (seasons as quadrants of a whole cycle of time), orientates us in space (navigation system), our “mood” as a general state of being, as well as the ages of humanity known as “eons”. An eon is a cycle of time after which humanity will experience an awakening as a phoenix-like transformation and will rise systematically to a higher level of consciousness.

The Pineal as the 3rd-Eye is the first point of contact for any form of intuitive, telepathic energy exchange, and is the basic method through which we receive information as “thoughts and ideas” that come to us from an outside source as images and sound. We hear a voice as inner thoughts or words that spontaneously produce an image as the meaning of the words, or we see an image or mental impression that forms our thoughts about it. The Pineal is the first place in the body that’s contacted by the “waters of spirit”, or the non-physical realm of the afterlife. Water is the medium of life as a universal conduit from one plane to another, and acts as the receiver for vibratory information as electromagnetic fields of information as words that program and impregnate it forming distinct patterns of the inherent nature of the frequency. Water absorbs and holds vibration as memory forming crystalline geometric patterns of the thoughts.

The story of the creation of the universe gives us this process in analogous terms as a scientific formula – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God moved across the waters with the Word, and called forth all living things”. The word as a sound frequency contains a pattern as an image formed by a self-organizing mechanism that shapes the word into a physical form in the imagination of the “mind’s eye”. All knowledge comes to us as thought in its seeded or potential state, and we shape it into an image as a living reality in our mind. The Vesica Pisces as the oval shaped womb gives birth to the triad as an inner imagined reality that becomes the basis as a template, formula, or blueprint for creating an outer or actual material reality of the same basic nature as an analogous idea. The image comes through and is reflected on the electromagnetic sphere surrounding the Pineal where it’s viewed as a transparent image or image that’s being reflected on glass or a dark surface (magical mirror). The mind shapes light essence (astral substance) into form as a ghost-like image (etheric hologram), that seeds the subconscious and DNA of the body with that same idea as the “meaning” it represents. The mental image spontaneously emerges as an inner reflection of the meaning of the word. The outer reality that’s formed and organized as an event is a reflection of the inner reality as the expression of the same nature or meaning. It may not take on the exact same form (inner thoughts act as archetypes), but comes more as an analogy or correspondence to the imagined one based on what’s available in the immediate environment that’s used to form it. While the shape may be different, the feeling it gives us and the meaning it has are the same.

The Pineal, which can also be equated to intuition, works by receiving “whole ideas” as full knowledge of something that triggers a synchronistic unfolding as a chain-of-association that spontaneously connects a multitude of ideas that are all of the same nature, frequency, and meaning. As we tune into the invisible, vibratory nature of things, we act to absorb their energy which in turn forms mental impressions as similar ideas that unfold within us in a synchronistic manner, showing us the true inner nature of it. A whole idea comes to us as a form of inspiration and insight, and all we have to do is maintain a passive state in relation to it, allowing it to rise up in our mind, without trying to control or change it somehow. The minute we begin interpreting it to make it “mean something” or begin judging it somehow, we distort it from its original form and begin reshaping it to be like us, and no longer perceive it in objective or original terms as it “actually is”, apart from us.

We all “become” who and what we are by way of our thoughts. We can only do or be what we can first imagine ourselves doing or being. Because of this fact our thoughts are a form of revelation and prophecy that forms our destiny as a predictable path that consistently expresses the same type of ideas. For this reason the Pineal is often called the “corner stone” associated with oracles and prophets, and is symbolized by a king sitting on a stone throne between (the balancing point) two columns (subconscious and conscious minds). In a like manner, the Tree of Life is often symbolized growing out of a stone, which is another symbol of the Axis Mundi. The idea of a cornerstone also symbolizes the “right angle” (90 degree angle), which is the angular rotation (opposite angle) needed to enter into higher dimensions. The orthogonal rotation is perpendicular, represented by a horizontal line (symbol of the material plane), intersected by a vertical line (higher dimension), indicating and upward path. The horizontal line is also symbolic of being asleep or fully engrossed in material form, and the vertical line as being awake, or standing upright, as a reverse perspective.

It’s through the gateway of the Pineal that we both connect and receive transmission from our Higher Self and the Universal Mind of the Akashic Field, and that we ascend to higher dimensions after the death of our body. The 3rd-Eye is the subtle body that accompanies and operates the material body, and acts as the bridge, conduit, or passageway between the higher and lower planes. The etheric or astral body, which is the energetic hologram or Holy Ghost that acts as a spatial 3-D model for the body and the informational system necessary for operating and maintaining it as the subconscious mind or “soul” of the body, acts as a medium that connects the Higher Soul to the lower soul. The frequency of the higher domain needs to be stepped-down to a lower frequency in order to manifest and be usable on the material plane of density (destiny). The human soul which is of both the spirit and physical planes as a combination, acts as the medium between the Higher Self and the lower, animal body, and is what draws from the higher planes, and feeds the translated information to the lower plane informing the subconscious mind of the body.

The subconscious mind is the mind shared by the entire natural world, and is what operates the body through involuntary biological processes as an automated system that doesn’t require any direct awareness or thought process from the conscious mind. While the body operates naturally out of instinct as automated behaviors, that same principle operates between higher and lower planes of awareness as intuition. Intuition is our natural ability to receive information about things in a whole and complete form. We can “know about something” without knowing how or why, that didn’t come from being taught. We “sense” things as a way of being able to see into their true, invisible nature through realizations that come as feelings, thought, and mental impressions, that unfolds or grows into a complete idea by forming a dynamic series of correspondences as the means of interpreting the energetic information. The 3rd-eye, the Pineal, and our subconscious mind, all of which act as passive receptors, take in energy as vibration and translate it into material form and a reality as an inner imaginative process that then organizes the subconscious mind of the outer world with that same idea as a metaphor.

       The Pineal as the sixth chakra is the physical apparatus of the subtle 3rd-Eye. The number three representing the imagination as the faculty of inner vision that’s reflected outward, or “looked through” as a perceptual lens, forms the equivalent material manifestation, is also represented by the Hexad (6), or Star of David, which is symbolized as two overlapping triangles, orientated in opposite directions. This has a multitude of interpretations, but the primary idea is the principle of two minds (triangle) forming a single, joint reality, and the upper and lower being of the same nature or mind. It represents the microcosm and macrocosm as reflections of each other as expressed in the Hermetic saying, “As above, so below, in the wondrous workings of the One thing”.

The lower is merely a reflection and expression of the higher in a unique, yet analogous form. The Higher (Universal Archetypes as prototypes) is what acts to “in-form” the lower, which is simply a passive vessel, vehicle, or instrument of the Higher. All in-formation as thought and ideas are conceived by the lower mind in their potential (seeded) form through the gateway (phallic) of the 3rd-Eye, where they are reflected on the outer invisible sphere (EMF) of the Pineal as waves of information that form transparent images that are “viewed” or witnessed by the mind as an imagined reality. These vibrations as realities provide us with a form of experience as memory that shapes our mental paradigm forming our perceptual lens that acts to order, organize, and form our outer reality through our perception of it to be of the same nature and likeness. Thoughts come to us in dual form as both words (sound) and pictures (optics). The words form our inner dialogue as “speaking the words” that call forth the meaning of the words as living realities that create an experience of the ideas they represent.

The 3rd-Eye is our umbilical-cord or silver cord that keeps us connected to our Higher Self and the Universal Mind of the Higher Plane (which is our origin) as a constant flow of information that provides the means for creating us as a soul through what comes as purely unconscious and automatic means. The thoughts we think as ideas become the programs of our subconscious mind which shapes, regulates, regenerates, and animates our body while forming our outer reality as the analogous equivalent if our inner reality. Our subconscious mind is directly connected to and works by way of the same principles as the same subconscious in everything else as the “collective unconscious” or “mass consciousness”, and works cooperatively to organize and coordinate the material world accordingly. What we think, which is a transmission of some form either between one mind to another within the same plane, or between the Higher and lower mind, becomes our experience of ourselves, others, and the outer world as a whole. All of which are formed by the same idea as its meaning and nature, as a kind of theme that’s inherent in the common frequency that acts to form the material world of the subconscious mind.

Mastering your Will to Create and Transform

Many people don’t fully understand what we mean when we use the term “will”, and as a result they don’t know how to use it in a deliberate and powerful way to create. Will is always associated to choice, because anytime we’re actually using our will , it’s to move out of conditioning and automatic, habitual tendencies that we do naturally, and create in a new and more individual way instead. When we’re trained to belief systems and certain mind-sets as “group consciousness” of some form, we’re actually lending our will to others and allowing them to shape and determine us as a result. Our will isn’t our ability to “resist” things or not give in to passions, pleasure, desires, or cravings of some kind through an act of sheer strength and willpower, but rather our ability to decide on what we want to be and do, and use our imagination to form the correct “internal representation” (IR) of ideas that either make them repulsive and disgusting, or desirable and attractive.

While we tend to think that things have power over us in the same sense that they’re dictating our experience and how we respond as a result, the fact is that we shape the outer world into an internal representation (IR) that we then use in place of the actual thing or activity as a way of experiencing it. As we think about something we’re associating other ideas with it, and using our “sensory system” to embellish it with sensory qualities that invoke emotional states. An idea that’s turned into an internal reality that serves to elicit strong emotions in response to it are how we’re using our will all the time to direct our own behavior and what we participate in by desiring and becoming one with it; as well as what we don’t because we find it unappealing for some reason. If we’ve made a decision to stop doing something, and we constantly struggle to resist it and create an experience of suffering because we’re abstaining from it, it’s because we haven’t learned how to use our higher mind to direct ourselves, and we’re using it incorrectly as a result.

The body, which is what we also refer to as the subconscious mind, because it inhabits and operates it, is operated by memory, and forms all of our natural behaviors as repetitive patterns and daily rituals and tendencies. The subconscious “thinks” in pictures and is experiential in nature. This means we communicate with it and act to program it with a form of virtual memory by imagining ideas as an experience of them. Its primary motive is “self-preservation”, so all of its impulses as feeling emotional states are geared towards maintaining the status quo and habits engaged in on a routine basis. It’s primarily instinctual in nature and motivated by pleasure or pain. It moves deeper into and seeks out whatever it deems pleasurable, and moves away from or avoids whatever it deems painful. It forms, firmly establishes and faithfully maintains habits and addictions, and is nearly always craving and wanting something. All of its needs are physical and material in nature and it works and is driven by emotions, making it impulsive and urge oriented. When it doesn’t get what it “needs and desires” it causes pain and suffering through emotions and physical withdrawals, which is experienced as a form of death (no longer able to sustain itself through that activity).

The subconscious mind is the creative aspect of the mind that’s capable of shaping and producing material realities, both inwardly and outwardly. It does this by turning a feeling or idea into a reality in the faculty of the imagination. Being memory oriented, it acts to create our memories from actual experiences, replaying them as a means of continuing to create by way of them, and as the means of being fed an idea as a form of “seeded thought” that it then fashions into a reality as a form of virtual memory. The imagined idea as an original creation is formed and appears in the imagination in exactly the same way as an actual memory does. This virtual memory as an internal representation of an idea operates in exactly the same way as an actual memory creating a kind of blueprint or template as an internal experience that forms the basis for the correlating external experiences of the same kind.

This “virtual memory” is an image, scenario, or movie-like idea that’s translucent (like a reflection on glass) in nature (can be seen fully while looking at something else), and becomes our perceptual lens as a filtering mechanism that reorganizes the elements of our outer reality to match the theme and emotions of the inner one. The IR becomes a kind of template or map for structuring and navigating the outer experience. Because of this tendency to “perceive out of memory and IR’s”, we never directly see or experience things as they actually are (a part from us), but rather as we “remake them” through our perception of them. This perception based on or produced by an IR or memory, works through the same principles as value judgments and either makes something appear desirable, likeable, and pleasurable, or undesirable, despicable and unappealing, or disgusting somehow.

When we decide and say we’re no longer going to do something, but we continue to form it in our mind as pleasurable and desirable, we struggle to resist it and continue to want it. We make giving it up a painful experience and the longing for it never goes away, so we’re always “tempted” by it. If instead, realizing how the mind works, we change the IR we’re forming into something that’s disgusting, repulsive, and painful, then we have no trouble resisting it, and thoughts of it eventually go away altogether. When we no longer think about it, it’s no longer a part of us and it exercises no control over us. This is the accurate use of the will – to make a decision to take control of what’s normally and unconscious process, and inject instead the idea we want to create in its place – then change the IR of what we’re stopping or looking to transform, while embellishing and enhancing the IR of the new idea we’re replacing it with.

Internal Representations, like reality itself are formed through sensory attributes, qualities, and characteristics that either makes it up-close, in vivid color and compelling, or far-away, black and white and neutral. If we make something up-close, immediate, full Technicolor, and create it as a full sensory experience of what you’re seeing, hearing, feeling, touching, smelling or tasting, and what you’re telling yourself about the experience that gives it meaning, and you create it with very positive emotions that make it pleasurable and beautiful, you create a strong desire for it. This gives your subconscious a very compelling “memory” that it steadily move towards and into, while seeking it out and connecting with that same idea in your immediate outer environment. If you then neutralize the current idea that you want to eliminate by turning it to black and white, pushing it out far into the distance so it seems far away, and assign negative sensory qualities and emotions to it, the subconscious, being given a more desirable alternative forgets about it, moves away from or avoids the old, eventually disconnecting from it all together outwardly, and moves instead into the fulfillment of the new and pleasurable idea.

The will is the active component of the conscious mind that can make new decisions that are not a part of its formative conditioning and habitual in nature, and can rule out one idea while replacing it with another. It impregnates the subconscious imagination with the seed as a unique idea that is then grown and formed into maturity in the imagination and manifests as an experience that bridges the inner with the outer, both of which are the creation of the subconscious mind as its offspring. The subconscious mind, when not being fed by its own personal will as an intentional idea for creating, absorbs instead the will of others as mental and emotional impressions or suggestions going on around it that it uses to generate thoughts in the imagination, and not only creates the individual (mind and body) according to those thoughts, but also creates the outer experience of those thoughts as its reality.

Anytime we passively take in an idea from outside of us (thoughts of another), and we form them into IR’s as a virtual reality, and make them our own by continuing to think about them, we’re choosing (unconsciously) to manifest and give life to the will of others through us. We’re literally lending our will to them, allowing them to determine us and the reality we experience as the perceptual lens we look through. The conscious, willful mind, is what’s traditionally called the “gate-keeper”, and is the aspect of the self that decides what’s allowed into the subconscious and what’s not. It analyzes, intuits, and evaluates the information to decide whether it’s true or not, valuable in some way, or would be beneficial as a means of upgrading the mental paradigm by incorporating it. It’s the “editor” that filters information through reasoning. It’s the part of our selves that’s always actively choosing even when we’re unaware (no choice is a choice) and decides what stays and what goes. It’s the aspect of the mind that has the ability to intentionally self-create through the active transformation of old ideas into new ones.

The Unified Reality of the Lower Plane and the Nature of the Subconscious Mind

There’s always a Divine Paradox playing out in the most basic sense as what appears to be a single reality that’s actually three-fold in nature as multiple planes that act together to create the perception of a single, unified reality. This is because what we refer to as the “higher plane” and it’s parallel “lower plane” exist in polarity to each other through what we could call a “reflection” of each other as a reverse image or as an “inner reality” that forms the basis for the perception of itself as an “outer reality” where the inherently “passive aspects” become the “active components” of its outer reflection. And while we like to think that the upper plane exists in a harmonious state of unity and singularity, while the lower plane is dual in nature and exists in a primarily “separated state” of individual components all operating independent of each other, one having nothing to do with the other, the fact is that what we call a “unified state” actually exists as having “dual” masculine and feminine components as the electromagnetic forces that serve to structure and animate the entire material plane in an harmonious and unified manner.

We take this basic misconception a step further and say that “we are all one” down here in the material plane, while imagining that when we return to a true unified state of shedding the material body and existing purely in our spiritual state, that we “blend back into the whole“, shedding our identity as an individual. Yet exactly the opposite is true. We are able to manifest (be born) into the material plane by taking on a physical body of the animal kingdom. This body is solely governed within the material plane by the subconscious mind which in the lower plane is the feminine and passive aspect of the mind, that is actually the active component that has full creative capacity but no “personal will” to think for itself in terms of original thoughts or to “create itself” in an individual manner apart from its species and kind. The subconscious mind is what we also refer to as the “instinctual mind” as the morphogenetic field (astral) of the material world that generates reality based on sensory, emotional impulses that serve to produce automatic behaviors.

The language of the subconscious is symbolic and metaphorical as ideas formed in the imagination as pictures and the reality of an idea. These “reality oriented thoughts” are memory and archetypes of some form that simply act to impregnate the subconscious with a possibility for producing as an experience that gives it an automatic program that it plays out as a means of creating without resistance. Emotion as a state of mind is always directly connected to memory as the reality and type of experience produced by that emotion that multiplies and increases it through the expression of it, which serves to give us more of the same emotion. Emotion is the electrical current that stimulates and sets into motion an entire unconscious process as a perception of reality that produces automatic behaviors. Emotions serve as a “colored lens” we look through that determine what aspect of reality as containing an infinite number of possibilities we act to “tune into”, bring into an active state by resonating with it, and cooperatively participate in providing the vehicle and the means for it to express in the outer world as a reality that affords us an experience of a particular nature as an automated process. Whenever we’re triggered by a strong emotion, it instantly renders us unconscious and we begin running an automatic program.

This is self-evident and very easy to realize by simply observing our own minds activity, and realizing that emotions are always associated to memories as the “state we were in” when we created the memory as a story-line of some sort, that also acts to keep that memory playing out in our life in a repetitive manner by simply maintaining the emotional state associated with it. We are conditioned (trained in an automatic fashion) to dynamics as emotional states that produce distinct types of realities that have correlating behaviors inherent in them. Emotions form “chemistry in our body” that act in much the same way any psychoactive drug acts, and not only alters our state of mind forming hallucinations of various sorts, but are also addictive. We become addicted to certain emotional states, and we not only live out of those states in a habitual fashion, but we act to create the experiences that will give us more of the same type of emotions. This acts to provide ourselves with a “fix”, because we’re capable of producing the drug internally through the proper external stimulus.

By allowing emotions being transmitted through projections of others and as active states in the atmosphere around us to enter into our body, take hold and rise up in our imagination as the reality of the emotion, that’s then used in place of the neutral, objective reality as an illusion that simultaneously produces automatic behaviors, we become instinctual animals that are governed by the same forces that operate within the natural world of the plant and animal kingdom. In this sense, we are absolutely directly connected to and a part of the “same mind” as being “one with” everybody and everything else. When we live primarily out of this aspect of our mind, we become like an animal and prone to the “herd mentality” of simply creating out of our formative conditioning as a trained mindset that lacks the ability to ‘think for itself” and therefore shape itself as an individual apart from the herd through active use of choice and free will. This conscious, willful aspect of the mind is the active mind of the higher plane that’s always self-creating in an intentional and deliberate way, cultivating it’s individuality by not being subject to emotional states and the illusions they create, and thereby not acting as a blind and passive receptor for the thoughts of others. Anytime we utilize the higher capacities of our mind to self-create in a unique fashion, we shape ourselves as individuals that are strikingly different from the crowd and are not influence and changed by the group mentality of the “collective unconscious”.

When we actively cultivate ourselves by first recognizing and fully embracing our divine nature and higher capacities of the mind to create within the material world in a deliberate way, then actively utilize those capacities in the everyday sense of staying fully conscious and present within the events of life making constant choices as to what to take on and allow to express through us, and what to keep out so it doesn’t contaminate us, we become the master of the lower plane. The conscious, willful and aware mind is the aspect of the mind that guides, directs, and seeds the passive, subconscious mind with the ideas it wants to create as an experience of reality through which it then actively creates itself by identifying with those creations. Whatever reality we act as a channel for expressing and creating as “our reality”, serve to shape us through how we associate with it through the experience it gives us. As we have experiences, whether passively or actively produced, we are sense ourselves within those experiences, and identify with them. We become the product of our experiences, all of which, naturally, are self-created either from a primarily unconscious state that feels as though our experiences simply happen to us without our control, and therefore not being created by us, or as intentionally produced by how we choose to use our own mind and imagination to create the type of experiences we want to use as the means to shape ourselves by way of them.

A great deal of confusion can result from the inability to distinguish the difference between neutral events within the outer world that seemingly take place without our will or control, that we refer to as ‘objective in nature”, and how we “experience those events” as an inner process that reforms them in our imagination giving them meaning while telling ourselves a story about them. All events of the material world, though produced by the subconscious mind as a group mentality, exist as neutral and unbiased to the conscious mind of the higher nature that doesn’t get its identity from the material plane, but rather uses the elements of the material world as the means for creating its own experiences. When we live out of our unconscious mind as our conditioning, we’re always using the memories of the past as the means for interpreting the events of the present to mean the same thing. Whatever emotion is being expressed in the event in terms of it stimulating us with that same emotion, determines what memories we access and call forth that were created out of events of the same emotional nature, and use as the means of producing the same “type of experiences” as an “interpretation” of the current events. In this way, the lower mind of instinct driven by emotion and memory govern and render the higher capacities of our mind passive and use our will to create in our life in an impulsive and unconscious manner.

While we tend to think that life itself is basically dual in nature, because only dual aspects are active on the lower plane, the fact is life as reality is three-fold in nature, and produced by three parallel dimensions that together form the same plane as multidimensional in nature. Likewise, the mind and soul are also three-fold in nature, and all act in unison to create the illusion of a unified material reality. Just as we classify that there are “4 Elements” that make up the material world, there are actually only 2 primary and actual Elements, the masculine (Fire) and Feminine (water), who blend together as a combination to produce the other 2 (air and earth) as their offspring. Likewise, while there is always an active and passive component of the same thing on each plane that together operate as complementary opposites to stimulate each other, the planes themselves also exist in polarity to each other where one is active and expansive and the other passive and receptive. While we have a subconscious mind as the dominate mind of the lower plane that acts to “birth” and give rise to the self-conscious mind of the “personal will” that identifies and operates fully within that plane, we also have an active component of the higher plane as our Higher Self (Mind) and Will, that exists in a polar state to our lower self.

When the conscious mind of the lower plane is active, it tends to override and prevent the conception and transmission of the Higher Will. The only way we can draw down and act as a receptor for Higher Consciousness is by quieting and returning the “conscious, thinking mind” to a passive and subdued state, so that the Higher Mind can act to impregnate the subconscious mind, which acts as a natural receptor for the masculine counterpart, with a seeded idea that it’ll turn into a reality. The subconscious mind reflects and casts the image of the conceived idea in the imagination, allowing the conscious mind to witness it as a mental impression and realize that it has come from a higher source because it’s original in nature, and therefore align itself with it and act in a cooperative manner to co-create it as an experience of reality. Reality in this case being a product of both aspects of the mind acting in a harmonious and unified fashion to produce a joint reality. The Higher Will seeds the lower mind of the subconscious with an idea that it then produces both as an internal reality that’s witnessed by the self-conscious mind of the personal will, and together they act to produce the external reality of the same nature as an experience of it, that’s then used by the soul as the means of shaping itself by way of that experience.

The paradox becomes obvious when we realize that the entire lower plane exists in a unified state within the higher plane, which is what serves to organize, orchestrate, and sustain it through its passive component, which is the active and dominate component of the lower plane. The entire lower plane is unified through the same passive mind and DNA, which is a component of the subconscious mind that’s also passive and receptive in nature and seeded as suggestion by the active and willful mind of the higher plane. The lower plane itself also has active and passive components, both of which interact with each other to produce a unified reality. The Higher Consciousness of the upper plane, which exists in a unified state of containing dual aspects in a harmonious state of equilibrium (represented by the element of air or atmosphere), separates as it descends into the lower planes of materialism, producing a masculine (fire) and feminine (water) aspect of the same thing necessary in order to perceive itself as another, and to bear witness to its own creation.

The Higher Self, which contains both the active and passive components, just as the material mind it produces does, divides Itself as the means of creating an inner and outer, self and other, essence and object, all of which are the same idea being played out on different levels and scales while partially submerged in an animal body governed by the subconscious mind that produces and maintains the entire material plane through a passive state that’s operated in an automatic fashion by instinct. Within the material plane of the subconscious mind, we are prone to becoming “like everyone else” and accepting the general mindset of mass consciousness through a form of “herd mentality” where the same impulses cause us to behave as if “one unit”. On the higher plane of what we think of as a unified state of true oneness, where the conscious and willful aspect is dominate, we imagine that we lack “individuality” and exist as a part of the same consciousness and have no will of our own. Yet the fact is, the only thing that transcends the lower realms and is drawn up and into the higher realms is the part of us that’s individual in nature and created by our own hand through active use of choice and free will. All aspects of ourselves developed to be “animal like”, stay within the lower planes of which they are a part.

When we live our life out of a predominately passive state of mind, driven by our emotions and programmed in an automatic fashion by the thoughts of others that we blindly accept as our own, acting impulsively through various forms of emotional, knee-jerk reactions where we’re completely controlled by the elemental forces of the lower regions, we develop ourselves through a lower, instinctual form of consciousness, and after death of the body, remain in the lower regions of the animal kingdom. When we employ our ability to consciously create by thinking for ourselves, making decisions based on our original and individual thoughts, and willfully act out those choices to form our reality, and we sculpt ourselves as self-made individuals that are unique in nature, where no two are alike outside of the fact that we all share an animal body with basic needs. At death of the body, the energies that it’s comprised of disintegrate and migrate back into their natural habitats. All energies return to the sphere from which it originates and resides as a natural state. The only part of us that transcends to the higher spheres is the parts that were self-created in an intentional manner and formed our individuality. Only our individuality exists in full and remains intact on the planes of higher consciousness.

When we create the larger part of ourselves to be “unique and original”, created while in a fully conscious state through personal will, we transcend to higher planes where will is the governing and active factor. The most fundamental paradox that we all live out of is the fact that we are all responsible for our own creation, and who we become is based on either lending our will to others, or utilizing the higher capacities of our mind to direct and create ourselves. We are always either being controlled by material means of some form, or the one doing the controlling. We’re always either consciously utilizing forces to self-create, or we’re being utilized by them. We’re either being determined by others and society, or we’re determining ourselves by separating from them and identifying fully with our divine nature and our ability to self-create by way of directing the natural forces that govern the lower, material realm of emotion, memory, and instinct. All that’s created to be of an animal nature stays within that realm and isn’t capable of transcending to the higher realms that require full use of higher capacities of the mind. All who are self-created to be of a divine nature transcend naturally to that domain at the death of their animal body.
