Humility, Shedding the False Ego, and the True Path of Liberation

There always seems to be a strange kind of reality around ideas that exist as a form of paradox that breeds constant illusions as misunderstandings produced through incorrect interpretations. What’s commonly referred to as “shedding our ego”, or experiences that come as the “death” of the ego, can seem very misleading and often set us off on the wrong path, because they start off with an incorrect idea, and so all that comes from it is an expression of that same error. As higher spiritual beings with the power to self-create, we shape ourselves by whatever it is we “identify” with. Our identity, unlike our personality, is what gives us the potential for becoming “unique individuals” through conscious use of our higher capacities of self-realization, choice, and will.

The term ego and identity are synonymous and can be used interchangeably to describe the same principle. The only question becomes what it is that we use as the means for creating ourselves. When we shape our sense of self based on possessions, social standing, roles, relationships, physical appearance, job, and so on, we create ourselves out of a temporary, illusion oriented idea as what we call the “false ego” or false identity. When we create a false image of ourselves, we condemn ourselves to a mortal life that “dies” with the body and the social situation it was dependent on. If we use our material circumstances and the roles we play in order to know who we are, then we condemn our eternal soul to the confinement and limitations of the body and our soul becomes its servant.

Death of the False Ego

The “experience” of what we call the “death of the false ego” however, is a “life shattering” experience that’s very painful to endure and difficult to utilize for its liberating effects. When we not only lose our life-situation and social standing that we built our identity out of, but also our very means of security, it can cast us into a very dark place of unimaginable grief and hopelessness, often referred to as the “dark night of the soul”. As we fall into what seems like a bottomless pit of our own creation, a true transformation takes place, and it either does us in and we succumb to a new illusion of defeat that we build about ourselves in place of the old one, or we learn how to access a higher aspect of our self that we then use as the means for transforming ourselves. We either die in the flames of our own dissolution, never to rise again, or we rise from the ashes an entirely new being.

My Own Experience of Humility and Transformation

Even though I was born into a very impoverished situation as one of five children raised by a single mom on welfare, not having things was normal to me and I never used material things as the means of creating an image of myself. Instead I used my talents, intellect, special abilities, and willpower to succeed. Losing things never really affected me much because I didn’t have things to begin with. I was used to going without and only having what I barely needed in order to survive. I did however build an image of myself as being poor and impoverished and therefore inferior in some way, and knew I had to work extra hard in order to build a better life for myself than I was raised with.

As I went through life, I had constant life situations that required me to put everything I had at risk in order to “be there” for those I loved and who needed me. I incurred and dealt with many challenging situations where I lost everything I owned that was of any value, and I had to file bankruptcy on astronomical medical bills at a very young age. This only had a minimal effect on me at the time because I didn’t place much value on material things and knew I could make it without them. I had developed confidence in myself to be able to rebuild whatever was lost. When I was making decisions as to what I was going to do, I was very clear on what mattered and what didn’t, and so decisions came relatively easy for me.

As I went through life I was very successful in my career, became an Entrepreneur in my twenties, and built very prosperous businesses on several occasions. In my forties I helped build a business that became worth several million dollars, and was traveling the world as a consultant, workshop leader, and public speaker. I provided consulting services and professional training to other Entrepreneurs while deciding to return to college to earn my doctorate. As a result of my education, I then began providing professional training for applied psychology and Healing Arts. I was given an honorary award as a “world leader in integrative psychology and Mind-Body Medicine”, and published many scientific papers in several professional journals. I was also very far into my spiritual development, and when faced with the idea of whether or not I had an inflated ego, I honestly felt I didn’t because I had a fairly detached perspective on things and was able to see the true nature of things clearly from a highly objective perspective. I had no need to be in the limelight and often put out work without the need for any form of recognition.

As I built what became a very lucrative business (medical center), I was involved in a relationship that caused me to start feeling disillusioned with my life and the ethical nature of the business world. I was living an extremely stressful and face-paced life that resulted in adrenal exhaustion and anxiety attacks that made me feel like I was having heart problems. My partner was also extremely stressed out and his behavior started reflecting it with increased severity that became very destructive and demeaning. He threw what I referred to as “temper tantrums” that would frequently turn over several staff members in one episode. After a while I even had trouble hiring doctors because no one would work with him. I felt as though I was constantly caught up in a form of “damage control” and trying to fix whatever he destroyed. Once I fulfilled what I considered my professional obligation to the situation, I decided to leave. By leaving the relationship, I also left the business, and lost a large part of my livelihood. But I had established a fairly lucrative consulting practice so it didn’t seem to matter.

As I was adjusting to my new situation while still having a couple of years of school left, I started having a kind of foreboding feeling as though something heavy and dark was coming. I had a very strong desire to move to Kauai where I owned a vacation home, but felt tied down with far too many material possessions. I then started forming a desire to de-materialize by sorting out what was important and meaningful and what wasn’t. At the same time I was becoming spiritually aware of my “true goal” in life, which was to transcend this plane altogether at death. I knew that in order to do this I had to detach mentally and emotionally from the material world itself while also resolving all the karma I still had with others that bonded me to them energetically. It seemed as though every time I formed a realization around something that led to making a “sincere decision”, that decision began facilitating the events of my life as the means of fulfilling it. I didn’t have to make all the little decisions or figure out how to do it, all I had to do was form the decision as a spiritual commitment, and the process was set in motion that seemed to be happening automatically while beyond my ability to control it.

Shortly after this, the financial crisis of 2008 hit and within a relatively short period of time I lost nearly all of my investments, savings, and retirement. My most loyal consulting clients were also devastated financially, and my thriving practice began dwindling. I lost my home in the mountains and had to move back to the city and try to find work after being an Entrepreneur for over 25 years. I worked providing consulting services on a contract basis, and was engaged in a seven month project that I was never paid for because the company ended up filing bankruptcy. My consulting business continued to dissolve and as I tried to get a job nothing came through. No matter what I tried, nothing worked, and I began consistently selling off and losing most of my belongings. My vehicle was leased through my company, and it was eventually repossessed. As I was experiencing complete financial loss, I had 4 months of school left and I committed to making sure I completed what at that time was my PhD.

As I was writing the hypothesis for my thesis, I wanted to write about “Personal Transformation that came by Choice and not as a Crisis”. I wanted to write about it from within the “experience” of it rather than a clinical study. The very foundation of Spiritual Sciences is based on the fact that we only truly learn, and thereby “know” something through “experience”. It’s only through experience that knowledge is integrated into our paradigm, upgrading and evolving it as a result. But the peer review group wouldn’t allow me to do it that way and insisted that it be written as a form of “research” instead. It was so important to me to remain true to the “science” of acquiring the knowledge through direct experience that I decided to forfeit the PhD. program and simply complete my doctorate instead. But the “commitment and importance” of writing about it from “within the actual experience of it” in order to capture the human drama of it remained with me and continued to shape the events of my life accordingly as if it was beyond my control to change it.

As I concentrated in order to finish up the last few classes, I started getting a vision as a pervading thought of living in my van (I had bought for my mother). I’m very aware of the creative power of thought as visualizations, yet this was coming as an idea that I wasn’t generating consciously, but was being “given” to my subconscious as a form of prophecy. As I finished school and accomplished my doctorate and was “patting myself on the back”, relieved in my achievement, this solemn voice inside calmly said . . . “now that you have the theory down, let’s practice” . . . and I knew from that moment on that I was in for the ride of my life, and I tried to mentally prepare myself for what I knew was coming.

I continued to steadily lose my possessions, not being able to get work, and struggling in the most basic sense. Every time I tried to figure things out by attempting to grab onto and bring back to life the only security I had known by recreating my old situation in a new way, simply didn’t work. The people who knew me as my professional persona quit talking to me because I was no longer “successful”, and all opportunities seemed to fade away. My friends quit calling and inviting me places, and I slowly became alone and isolated. My family took an attitude of almost enjoying seeing me “fall from grace” because they were jealous of my achievements and saw me as “thinking I was somehow better than them”. They began making constant comments about how I finally got to see what it was like for the rest of them, not seeming to acknowledge that I had come from the same place they did. I was told that I was going to have to learn how to “stoop” and maybe get a job at Starbucks or Walmart. I didn’t have anyone to stay with and literally ended up all alone sleeping in my van along a dark deserted street.

The Realization that Brought an Awakening

I can’t even describe the pain I felt in realizing that everything I had built my life around was an illusion. When I saw the true nature of people I thought I knew, I felt overwhelmed with disgust at how selfish, small, and pathetic they seemed. They somehow made me out to be a lazy low-life that was expecting “hand-outs”. I was shocked and dismayed in light of all the things I had been able to accomplish in my life up to that point, and that’s when I finally realized the true meaning of what the “false ego” really is. The “image” I had built of myself based on worldly accomplishments that won me recognition and the admiration of others, and my ability to build wealth out of nothing and work my way into high positions with total confidence, was how I was “shaping” my perception of myself as the kind of person I was. This false idea I had built about myself only attracted those who were of the same false image. My life had been built around a total illusion of my own making that was so convincing that I even deceived myself, because in the experience of my own demise, I realized I didn’t even know for sure who I really was. My belief in the image I had built of myself became my own undoing.

As I went through a long period of total despair, I felt like I was a fool and had even been abandoned by God. This was extremely amplified by the fact that I was also in the process of going blind. I had been diagnosed with macular degeneration at the age of 40, and it was now reaching a point of crisis where functioning in the most normal sense was becoming increasingly difficult. This greatly accelerated my feelings of despair and being all alone in the world and not knowing why this was happening to me. What had I ever done to “deserve” this? My life didn’t seem to have any purpose, and as I lost my most basic resources, I felt as though I didn’t even matter anymore. After all the work I had been through to build a good life I was going to end up poor, blind, and all alone in life. Kicked to the curb and left to suffer as I slowly diminished. Every night as I laid down to sleep I prayed for death. All I wanted was to end my suffering and fade silently into the abyss. Without purpose my life had no meaning.

Realizing Who I Am

Throughout my life I’ve always been a compulsive writer and have always processed my life experiences and how I was feeling by writing about them. One of my most prevalent tendencies in life has always been to study subjects in-depth, forming a clear understanding of them, and then write about them. I’ve been creating books and journals for as long as I can remember. As an artist early in life, it wasn’t a love for painting or writing that compelled me to create, but the desire to capture a feeling as a realization and express it in a way that gave the viewer or reader the same feeling and realization. Once the overwhelming grief and intense feelings of loss and disillusionment began slowly subsiding, it suddenly dawned on me that what was happening in its wake was that I was starting to reconnect with my true self.

There was a part of me that remained alive all these years and I continued to do as what I considered my true life’s work. I came into the world with talents, natural desires, and tendencies that formed the basis for all my material accomplishments. Through everything that I had lost (which was a great deal) I had managed to keep what was not only important to me, but that was truly “mine”; my paintings, art supplies, and a good part of my writings and books. These were the same things I engaged in naturally as a child and young adult, and were the core of my being. These parts of me never went away and couldn’t be lost or taken away from me by an outside force. As I was all alone in life, I was still studying, writing, and painting.

As I began reorganizing my life from a new perspective and exhausted the feelings of grief and moral despair, I realized that I had got my wish. I realized from a strangely clear perspective that I had undergone the experience of transformation as a decision I had made for myself, that was then carried out and conducted by my higher-self. What I realized as a flaw in my hypothesis is that true transformation is experienced “as” a crisis. It comes as a crisis in identity where all of the illusions of my life either fell away, were taken away, or lost somehow through what appeared to be a course of natural events, and only what was true remained present.

As I lost everything that I used to create my life and identity, I realized that not only did my true self remain completely intact, but became amplified due to the fact that I had freed up a great deal of time and energy I was spending on other things. Due to the fact that I couldn’t seem to rebuild what was lost, I became clear on what was real and an essential part of me that couldn’t be taken away or lost, because it wasn’t based on material factors. It was my soul’s essence which equipped me with everything I needed to fulfill my soul’s purpose. As I abruptly disconnected from my own self-created delusions about myself and my purpose in the world, I began naturally reconnecting with my soul. In reconnecting with my soul’s essence, I began drawing all my power from an internal source.

I realized that most of what I thought I needed and was important, I didn’t need at all and it only had the importance I gave it. That my life only “meant” what I said it meant. I lost all desire for material wealth and status, and felt a newfound kind of freedom. I severed all relationships that were based on illusions while simultaneously maintaining my love for the people because I realized with absolute clarity that they were still caught up in the illusion of their own making and honestly didn’t know any better. I realized I wasn’t abandoned by God, but by my own illusions of God. That the process that had been unconsciously facilitated by my Higher-Self based on my decision to dedicate my life to the truth and transcend this plane of illusion, was a loving act designed to bring me home and reconnect me to the absolute truth of who I am as a spiritual and universal being.

As I detached from the need to somehow control and determine the events and outcomes of my life, I felt completely unaffected by it all. I realized that other people’s opinion of me was shaped as a reflection of their own character as making me into the same type of person they are, and I detached from their projections as a result. I quit looking outward for approval and acceptance, or in an attempt to somehow acquire power from an outside source, and began always residing inward and drawing my strength from an internal source that never dwindled or subsided, but grew in strength as I began depending on it.

I began identifying almost exclusively with my spiritual self instead of my physical self, and all selfish motives and material desires left me. I began cultivating the ability to see the truth in everyone and everything by remaining tuned to the inner nature of things and what was motivating all their perceptions and actions, instead of basing it on the outer appearance of things. I became detached from the emotions being projected at me by others, and remained calm and unaffected by them, and as a result, stayed present with the truth without needing to somehow change it. I realized that my own emotions were the result of what I focused on and how I thought about things, and I began thinking in more universal and meaningful ways.

As I became more and more identified with my Higher-Self and quit building a life of illusion, I began sensing myself as “being in this world but not of it”. I quit looking to “get something” from my interactions with others, and looked instead to give to others in whatever way served their higher good and the good of everyone involved. I began empathizing with their soul’s journey as a dynamic means of learning and growing instead of seeing them only for their unconscious shortcomings and outward faults born out of confusion. I realized that now, and only now am I truly qualified to teach others the knowledge of higher wisdom by having apprehended it through experience . . . which is what my soul’s purpose is in this life.

Only those who are humble can conceive of higher truth without distorting it through the interpretations of their ego. As long as we maintain and live out of a false image and idea about ourselves and the world, we only resonate and act to receive more knowledge of the same kind. When we’re motivated by selfish needs and in love with our own opinions that we mistake for truth, we distort and corrupt true knowledge as a means of serving our own agendas or in order to somehow justify whatever it is we need to in order to maintain it as being true. When we form beliefs out of illusions, we bond ourselves to the world of illusions. When we form our identity around material things and mistake ourselves for being the personality of our body, we become mortal beings who die with our body. When we reside in a state of true detachment from false ideas and selfish motives, we’re able to receive knowledge from higher planes and witness it “as it is” without distorting it by forming personal interpretations. Only what we acquire by “being it” and “living it” as a direct experience becomes the basis for true wisdom. We only truly know what we become and do.

The Secret to the Subconscious and Willful Creation

One of the things that can make creating in a deliberate and willful manner confusing is that we’re always using one aspect of our mind to direct and command another aspect, both of which speak a different language and work by different means to create what we experience as a unified “reality”. All of what we can call “actual creation” as a manifestation is done by the subconscious while being directed by the conscious mind through our feelings and thoughts. We become what we think about because we’re literally programming ourselves and forming our perception of reality through our thoughts. The words we speak while imagining them as a reality or experience that invoke a strong emotion of some kind in response to them, is serving to give our subconscious a directive for creating as an outer experience.

Reality and the Illusion of Time

The mind itself with its varying aspects operates on different planes and scales simultaneously performing different functions of what results in a unified experience of reality. The subconscious exists “outside of time” (which is a dimension created by the conscious mind) and is always “present” in what we can think of as the “eternal now”. Our self-conscious mind (of outer awareness) exists within the time-space dimension of its own creation, and spends most of its time dwelling in the past or contemplating the future and is hardly ever present in the moment. The subconscious is “experiential” in nature, feeling oriented, and emotionally driven, and is what forms all of our natural perceptions and behaviors in a fully automatic and habitual manner. Our perception of the outer world is being produced by our subconscious while being witnessed and observed by our conscious mind. Our energetic “state” is what acts to unify both aspects into a coherent whole where together they call forth, organize into a thematic pattern, and produce our reality as a “direct experience” of it.

Learning to Speak the Language of the Soul

When we set a goal using our conscious mind, we tend to set it for the future while forming a realization around the fact that we don’t already have it. Because the desired reality is perceived as being in the future (time) somewhere and not already present, the subconscious doesn’t register it (it has no awareness of the future), and instead registers the feeling of “wanting it”. So wanting what we don’t have becomes the directive as a kind of “theme” for the subconscious to use in creating more realities and experiences of “wanting”. The subconscious functions to create reality as an outer manifestation of an inner reality formed out of feelings, ideas, and thoughts, and doesn’t need instructions on “how to” manifest something, but merely a metaphorical idea of “what” to create as a feeling state. All experience serves to give us more of the same feelings that acted to produce it.

For this reason all goals need to be formed in the imagination “as if” they’re real and from “within” the experience of it. Whatever emotion we associate to the desired situation or event tells the subconscious how to formulate it in order to create more of the same emotion through the nature of the experience produced. The goal has to be formed as an internal representation of a metaphorical idea imbued with strong feelings. We have to create it as a form of “virtual memory” (reality) that can take the place of an actual memory. The outer appearance as a certain type of reality merely cloaks the feeling that serves to birth and animate it allowing us to form a certain type of experience out of it. The reality itself isn’t what’s significant; it merely lays the foundation and sets the stage for how we form our experience of it. It can’t be thought of as something we’re “going” to work towards and hopefully create at some point in the future, because the reality of not having it “is” the directive being given to create more experiences of the same nature.

The Divine Paradox

The other thing we need to keep in mind is that the mind works in a completely holistic manner. It’s only the self-conscious mind that perceives duality and separation as our outer awareness of space and time. The subconscious is also a fundamental part of the group mind of the collective unconscious and what the self-conscious perceives as being “out there” is being produced by the subconscious on a larger scale without our direct awareness of it. Whereas the self-conscious mind perceives in “separate parts” that make up a whole that are often unrelated and independent of each other as a kind of “this or that” or “black and white” mentality (that believes in the illusion being created), the subconscious is holistic and produces reality out of our mental paradigm as our soul’s essence (memory as integrated experiences). It creates out of our entire psychology as the means of producing an experience of ourselves as a reality.

What this means is that it’s not only the goal itself as a reality that’s taken into consideration, but also the reason you have for setting the goal. What is it that’s “motivating” the goal? Our motives in doing whatever it is we’re doing directly influences and alter the outcome being produced. Many of our motives are emotional in nature and result from deep seated unresolved issues that we’re not fully aware of. These motivating forces play a role in shaping the outcome, and can come in a way that seems to contradict what we thought we were asking for.

A person who wants to manifest a relationship where they’ll “feel wanted and loved”, means they currently don’t feel that way, and again are projecting a wish for what they don’t have out of feelings of not being loved and wanted. All relationships attracted and actively engaged in will only act to produce “more feelings” of not being wanted because this is the state that gave rise to the desire for a relationship to fulfill that they currently lacked. If we feel unhappy, and we imagine it to be due to a lack of money, and we set a goal to make more money as the means of becoming happy, we may in fact produce the material wealth we desired and envisioned, only to have it accentuate and deepen the feeling of being unhappy. This is because it was designed out of feelings of being unhappy.

All manifestation is naturally produced in a fully unconscious way as our feelings that give rise to our thoughts that shape them into images and scenario’s that act to invoke an equivalent emotion, and together produce a reality as an experience. Whatever image we form in response to a feeling is the reality that expresses that feeling and acts to give us more of it. If we “ask” for something out of a feeling of lack, what we’re really saying to our subconscious is “give me more of this feeling”. All outer manifestations are produced as a reflection and equivalent of “inner manifestations” of feelings and thoughts because they’re both being produced by the same mind through our mental paradigm. The outer is a continuation of the inner on a larger scale.

Summary

We have to start all conscious manifestation by accessing the feeling inside of already having what it is we’re going to create. If we ask for something as a means of giving us a feeling we don’t already have, we simply create more of that feeling because it’s the feeling that acts as the directive telling the subconscious what to multiply and produce more of. All material reality is designed to give us more of the feeling that motivated and spawned its creation. While submerged in the feeling of “not having”, which is what gives rise to our request to acquire it, only acts to produce the reality as the experience of wanting.

Instead of focusing on what we lack and then trying to determine what type of reality will give us that, ask yourself what feeling is it that your desired manifestation will serve to give you. Then focus exclusively on that feeling, amplifying it, and allow the reality associated with it to naturally form of its own volition in your imagination. Let go of all need to determine what the reality is, and let it form as the expression of the feeling. As the image or reality rises naturally out of the feeling, don’t try to change or correct it to what you think it should be, but let it form spontaneously, while maintaining your attention on the feeling. All material images and actual realities serve only as a metaphor for the subconscious, which creates through the Law of Analogy and Correspondences. Allow yourself to realize intuitively that the “feeling” is the creative directive that the subconscious will use as the means of producing the reality that will be “of” that feeling and serve to give you more of it . . .

Understanding the Nature of Emotions and how we Create Reality out of Unconscious States

  We can gain a clear understanding of the nature of emotions and how they work in our life to control us by simply observing what happens when we experience an emotion and have a reaction as a result. Emotions are the natural forces of the material world that are designed to produce automatic behaviors that don’t require thought or a decision. They are what operate the “instinctual field” that governs all living beings of the natural world that don’t possess the higher mental capacities of self-realization, thought, discrimination, and will that are necessary to self-create. Emotions themselves are invisible forces that are constantly being generated, transmitted, and received within the atmosphere of the material plane, also referred to as the astral plane. Emotions are always associated to memory of some kind and are an animating force that works through the etheric body of the astral plane to stimulate the subtle organs (chakras), which then stimulate the Endocrine glands of the physical body, producing a whole series of chemical messengers that change the energetic state of the whole body to match the emotion. We can think of emotions as being the language of the subconscious mind which forms the unified field of the material world, and is what unites and serves to orchestrate the instinctual behaviors of both the animal and plant kingdoms, of which we as humans are a natural part. Emotions are always associated to memories, which are what produces the patterns for automatic behaviors in animals that all reside in and live out of a primarily unconscious state that lacks self-awareness and the ability to create in a unique fashion. The memory used by the animal kingdom is universal in nature, and used by all members of the same species to produce the shared behaviors of that species, whereas humans have the creative ability to produce their own memories as a personalized version of the universal memory that governs all of humanity.

The Relationship between Thought, Memory and Emotion Only humans have to ability to “think” as a way of producing the imaginary reality of our thoughts as internal representations that form personalized memory of various forms that’s used as a “thematic template” for creating a corresponding outer reality as an illusion that simultaneously produces all of our natural behaviors. All of what we call “intelligence” exists as organized fields of information that form patterns of reality as memory. A memory is produced as an interpretation of an event that gives it meaning as the expression of the emotion being experienced during the event. The meaning we give something forms a kind of theme that can be applied to any number of situations as the perceptual lens and filtering system that provides us with an instantaneous means of interpreting events to all mean the same thing. The meaning something has as a feeling it gives us forms the basis for the story we tell ourselves about it that creates how we experience it. We don’t ever form memories as the recollection of factual details of the event itself (unless we set out with the specific aim of doing so), but rather by forming a story as a “type of experience” based on the emotion we were experiencing at the time. Self-made memory as a unique account of an event is always formed out of an emotional state, and is only “accessible” and able to be recollected from that same emotional state. The memories we naturally reference and use to form our thoughts and perceptions are directly correlated and a by-product of the emotional state we were in at the time we formed them. We act as an energetic tuner and receiver for thoughts and memories that are correlated with and produce the realities of our emotional state. If we’re in a positive and uplifted state, we access and use memories formed out of that same state as our perceptual lens for creating more memories of that same kind. If we’re sad and depressed, we dwell in past experiences that were sad and depressing, and think about things that give us more of that same feeling. Our “emotional state” becomes our perceptual lens for perceiving the present to be of the same nature as the past. All states of mind are self-perpetuating and act to multiply and produce more of the same states through the experiences they serve to propagate.

The Collective Unconscious of Humanity What we call the material world is produced and governed by a unified field of the subconscious mind as the collective unconscious of humanity as it pertains to our mammalian body and personal existence. The entire natural world of the plant and animal kingdom is unconscious in nature, and is operated by emotional impulses that produce natural (automatic) behaviors. The subconscious mind, which is the aspect of the mind that connects all of us, is emotionally driven and functions out of universal memory that’s tuned into the state of mind and consciousness of the individual, downloading it with certain types of information as collective memory. As humans we experience this as random thoughts that come to us seemingly out of nowhere, but that are so similar to our normal thoughts that we mistake them for being our own. Different species and types of animals tune into the memory within the collective unconscious that provide it with self-knowledge and instructions for living as its natural instinct. They don’t have to be taught or accept the belief of someone else, or have the ability to create personal beliefs in place of actual knowledge, but instinctually know what to do in order to live and survive from birth. Animals don’t have a self-conscious mind and the ability to create in an individual manner apart from their species and kind, and all form the same behaviors that only differ in the sense of the personality they possess in how they perform them. All dogs, for example, act like a dog, though they have their own unique personality that makes them distinguishable from other dogs in “how” they do the same behaviors. Instinct comes as universal memory that provides the intelligence and animating life force for creating, orchestrating, and maintaining an incredibly diverse Eco-system in an automated fashion that all live and function in harmony with each other. Emotional charges as impulses and passions are what serve to activate the memory necessary to produce automatic, natural behaviors, that don’t require and form of realization, calculated decision, thought-process, or will to carry out. All behaviors of the animal kingdom are produced and driven by natural impulses as emotional charges that are being transmitted from one being to another and throughout the atmosphere as a form of telepathy. What Distinguishes Humans from Animals What separates us from the animals is that we have the ability to create our own memories in our imagination by how we emotionally interpret the events of our life to give them meaning. We take a universal idea as a theme and use it to produce a unique version as a personal reality that forms our soul’s memory and makes us unique and different from everyone else. While our thoughts, which are associated to individually created memories, are somewhat unique and different from others based on how we interpreted the events of our life to create them, the emotions we share in common are universal in nature and experienced pretty much the same way by everyone. Emotions weren’t originally designed to be “brought into our thinking” as the means of creating illusions as personal realities that form our memory base, but merely as a form of instinct that aids us in our ability to live and survive within the instinctual world by giving us automatic behaviors as instant reactions. The other unique ability we have as humans that sets us apart from the animal kingdom is we have the ability to generate and produce our own emotional state based on what we focus on and think about. Emotion typically comes in two ways, one as a transmission from one person or being to another where it’s absorbed and taken on, and as a response to our own thoughts. Whatever we focus on and think about automatically produces our emotional state as a correspondence. Thought and emotion are always connected, and one serves to form and determine the other. Likewise, whatever memories we dwell in produces in us the same emotional states we were in when forming the memories. We have the ability to “choose what we focus on” and direct our own thoughts to intentionally keep ourselves tuned to certain emotional states. Whereas animals are purely impulse driven based on the present events of their life and what behaviors are the most beneficial and appropriate. Instinct as universal knowledge on the higher plane of consciousness comes to us in the material plane as intuition. When we intuitively sense something through a feeling about it, we perceive its inner nature and character as a form of “knowing” that comes without a cognitive thought process. We know the true nature of someone or something without knowing why or how we know. It comes in an instantaneous and automatic fashion as a realization that forms a mental impression in our imagination, similar to how we play out a memory as the means of creating an experience, except it’s not of a personal nature and not generated or formed by us. The entire material world of “formed beings” as a dynamic ecosystem is formed out of and animated by various forms of universal memory.

Energy as Emotion and Patterns for Automatic Processes Memory, whether universal in nature as an archetype, instinctual as the basis for life, or personal as our own creative ability to produce personal versions of reality, comes as an organized field of information that’s stabilized into a fixed pattern. While we commonly hear that all “things” vibrate at a certain rate, meaning energy as a material object or being exists within a certain level and quality of consciousness, the fact is all material objects are formed out of memory as an electromagnetic field that’s contained in DNA, the subconscious mind, and the soul, all of which form union and combine with each other based on shared memory. This unification of shared memory is what acts to form a unified field as a pattern that produces a vibratory frequency. All material form is a mental construct formed out of memory that vibrates at a certain frequency. The mind itself exists in a potential, unformed state, and is the medium that uses a universal archetype as a thematic idea for shaping matter into a pattern that then generates and emanates an electromagnetic field as a frequency. We know that a frequency contains a pattern and a self-organizing mechanism that serves to organize information into a formula or configuration as a living being, while often failing to realize that it’s the mind that produces the frequency by how it forms an “internal representation as the etheric double” that acts as a spatial map for organizing and structuring matter. As we form an internal reality as a thought-form, we magnetize it by drawing in the equivalent emotion, which acts to produce the activity as a vibratory frequency that transforms it into an actual outer reality of the same nature. All reality is formed by our “perception of it”, which comes by way of a filtering system that reorganizes the information available into a pattern that matches our memory, making it appear different to us.

       Through our ability to construct material forms in our imagination, we produce a form of virtual memory that gives the subconscious mind the pattern necessary for organizing the outer into a similar idea. The imaginary reality we form as an internal representation, whether out of an actual memory or universal one that’s not based on an actual experience, is a form of “request” for an equivalent outer experience. As we feel, think, and imagine the reality of our thoughts, we tune ourselves to the emotional state of that reality and it acts as a receiver and generator for more of the same type of realities. Whatever we think about in a consistent and emotionally intense way forms our perceptual lens that we look through and use to form our experiences by how we interpret the information that’s available in any situation to form our perception of it. This process also works in reverse, and anytime we absorb and “take on” an emotion that’s being projected and transmitted through the atmosphere by another, it acts to adjust our emotional state to be equivalent to it. Once our emotional state is tuned to the same frequency, it determines how we act, what type of memories we use to form our interpretations, and what type of things we think about. We form a “coherent state” and act to co-create a joint reality out of the same state. As we express an emotion by coupling it with a memory as a correlating idea, it produces an instant experience that amplifies and gives us more of that same emotion. In this way, our state of mind and the reality it perceives and creates becomes self-perpetuating and forms a kind of closed system. As we take on the emotions being projected by others, and that exist naturally in the space around us, we “adjust” chemically to become of the same nature and state as our environment. This is the most basic form of evolution that serves to constantly form us to be of the same nature instinctually as the environment we live and survive in.

The Language of the Subconscious Emotions are the energetic language of the material plane that acts as a mechanism for organizing information as memory into corresponding realities. Emotion and thought act together to produce internal realities that provide the perceptual filter and lens for producing an equivalent outer reality as our experience of it. Whatever outer reality we have to work out of, we act to reorganize the information available in it by only noticing and bringing out what matches it and can be used to produce our desired experience, while simultaneously ignoring and leaving out what doesn’t. We’re always taking what exists as an objective and neutral reality that’s a part from us, and restructuring it to produce a subjective reality that’s an inherent part of us as our creation. We never really perceive things as they actually are, but rather as “we are” by how we reform them out of our memories and mental paradigm. We’re always remaking others in our own image according to our own beliefs, preferences, and judgments about them. Every single person that’s a part of the same event will form a different experience of it and tell a different story about it. This is because as humans we’re bestowed with the higher capacities of the mind and “create reality” out of our perception of it through a dynamic filtering system that operates by the principle of “natural selection”. When we’re governed by our emotions and exist in a constant reactive state, we live out of a primarily unconscious state as a subverted form of instinct. We engage in a constant form of automated processes that run redundant behavioral patterns over and over as a means of creating ourselves.

Summary Once we understand the principle at work in emotions we can realize that anyone who lives out of a state of constant emotional reactions is always creating the present to be the same as the past. They’re constantly bringing the memories of the past into the present as the means of interpreting and perceiving the present events to mean the same thing and tell the same type of story about them. When we live out of the illusions created by our emotional reactions, we’re living and creating our life out of an unconscious state without any direct awareness of what we’re doing and why. We create illusions based on applying past memories to the present as a way of shaping them into the same type of story and experiencing them in the same way. Through awareness of how we act to create our own experiences, we can begin neutralizing the emotions of others being outwardly expressed and projected towards us, and can perceive things from a calm and relaxed state instead. As we live out of constant emotional states we form our experiences of reality out of our beliefs and judgments about them rather than perceiving them in a neutral and unbiased way as they actually are. We take on our animalistic tendencies and create in an automatic and instinctual way by simply forming the same type of perceptions and behaviors over and over without realizing that we have to ability to change them and create in a more purposeful manner by choosing the meaning we give things and using our will to produce new types of experiences by learning how to tell a different type of story. The Creative Power of the Imagination – Free Choice, Will, and the Nature of Memory

“The way to alter an outcome is to alter the pattern (memory) producing the outcome”

       In order to create by way of laws in a fully aware manner, we have to create a working concept of how the laws operate within the material realm that allows us to understand and apply them in the practical sense. Once we’re able to see something with absolute clarity, we can use it to create in our daily life and it forms the very basis of our perception of reality. In order to understand how our own mind works to create our experience of reality, we have to be able to self-reflect and observe natural processes and tendencies that operate from a primarily unconscious state.

Anything that we call “natural” comes as automatic processes and behaviors that don’t require us to intentionally produce them by thinking about them or using our will as a form of discipline to create. We’re always using our mind to create our reality, but because we do it without any direct awareness of what we’re doing or the realization that our experience of reality is something we create for ourselves, we create our life in a way where we experience it as simply happening “to us”. This is one of the most primary forms of ignorance that we’re all conditioned to believe, and as a result, we can spend the better part of our life feeling helpless to change the course of events and the nature of how we use those events to create our experiences.

What we call our mind is a natural aspect of our soul, and like the soul, is threefold in nature, meaning it’s comprised of three basic aspects that all play different parts in creating what appears as a single unified reality. The idea of what we have come to call “reality” is a bit elusive and misleading, because it’s formed out of our “perception” of it. Perception “is” reality in terms of how we experience it. While we tend to form an idea that matter exists in a stagnate and solid form as something specific and that everyone experiences reality in the same way (mass consciousness), the fact is matter in its primary state is actually comprised of particles of light that exist in a “potential state” until organized into a “form” by the mind observing it.

        All created material form exists as an organized field of information that produces the form as what we can call a universal archetype. The consciousness of the individual observing material form enters into “relationship” with the field of information and through an interaction of attention and resonance, the individual consciousness as a mental model or vibratory frequency, reorganizes the information to match the holographic pattern of the model being used for structuring it (information) into a specific “type” of reality as the “experience of it”. Individual consciousness doesn’t produce an entirely new material form, but merely modifies how the existing one “appears” to them. The mind is always taking a universal archetype as an idea and producing a personal version of the same idea as a unique possibility and variation. Consciousness influences and determines how matter is organized into a material matrix that forms what we can call the “illusion of reality” as a fixed idea or subjective reality.

While many of us have been taught that atoms exist as fixed systems that’s comprised of electron, neutrons, and protons, the fact is an atom exists as a “cloud-like substance” (wave-form) of pure potential, meaning it contains the information as possibilities for being stabilized into an infinite number of possibilities, and only becomes organized into one possibility based on how it enters into relationship with the mind observing it and acting to shape it through resonance. The wave of possibility is “collapsed” around a single possibility, forming it into the reality of that possibility as the person’s perception of it. Every single individual has a mental structure as a vibratory frequency that not only forms a holographic, 3-D pattern as a form of spatial map, but also contains a self-organizing mechanism that acts to structure matter into the corresponding shape of that same pattern.

Matter is neutral and passive in nature as a primordial substance that acts as an “empty shell” for consciousness as pure energy to enter into through sympathetic resonance, organize into the same thematic pattern as a frequency, and form a coherent outer reality that matches or is of the same nature as the inner reality of the mind shaping it. Matter is magnetic in nature and consciousness is electric, and together they copulate to form an electromagnetic field that organizes matter into living forms as the energetic matrix for producing the illusion of reality as both an inner and outer space-time continuum. The body, being structured by the consciousness that inhabits it and gives it life, vibrates at the frequency of the soul’s consciousness, and is the active mechanism for orchestrating the entire outer world of material form.

The soul is comprised of “memory” as the dynamic pattern of its frequency, and is what provides the subconscious mind of the lower, material plane with the template for creating as an experience of reality. The subconscious is passive and receptive in nature and doesn’t have the ability to make new decisions or act out choices to create in a unique and original manner through willful action that’s outside of its “memory”. In order to create within the material world, we have to seed the subconscious mind with a “memory” of the reality we want it to create and the nature of the experience we want to have by way of that reality.

Ideas, Archetypes, and the Nature of Vibration

All ideas and information form a mental image as the physical form of the idea that organizes the information available into a fixed pattern of some sort that forms a corresponding vibratory frequency. All vibration exists as an organized pattern of information that serves as a model for organizing all similar information into the same pattern as a correspondence. Frequencies exists as a wave-form that contains an infinite amount of information as a “theme” that can be organized into an infinite number of variations based on how the same information is structured and what emotion is animating and motivating it.

The vibration provides the type of information and the emotion is the motivating force that determines how that information is structured to create a certain “type of experience” as a story about it. Any scenario or live setting can be turned into a drama, adventure, comedy, or horror story based on the attitude and perspective it’s being told from. Any scenario as a material setting (field of available information) being “shaped” by someone in a sad mood, will serve to tell a sad story that will create an experience of it that makes them feel sad. Whatever emotion being expressed in a situation shapes it in a way that produces and gives us more of that same emotion. The material reality itself is meaningless outside of its ability to give us a “feeling” of some kind.

An archetype exists as a universal idea that’s thematic in nature (memory) and lends itself as a generic template for organizing matter into animated forms. An archetype not only has the basic type of idea inherent in its natural form, but also the operations of that form as a natural set of behaviors. All form that’s produced by how information is organized into a pattern, determines the natural function, operation, and behavior of that form and the outcome it produces through a creative process. To change the function and the outcome, you have to change the pattern as the memory being used to produce it.

       An idea as a material reality exists as a “memory” that comes to us in “whole form”. It contains everything necessary to produce and replicate or reproduce more of that same idea. A universal memory as an archetype is used by the individual mind to produce a personal memory of the same kind, varied only by how it’s adapted to the mental model of the individual and as applied to a unique set of circumstances and conditions. A universal theme as a memory lends itself to creating a personal experience as a memory of the same nature, and is returned to its universal status by how it’s integrated into the overall model of the individual.

When we form a memory of a certain type of flower, we don’t remember that specific flower itself, but it adds to our overall memory of that type of flower in general. As we create experiences that seem to be specific to the exact set of circumstances in which they took place, subconsciously, they form back into the general pattern as a theme that’s being used to create them. So each time an idea is applied to a unique set of circumstances it creates a unique variation of that same idea as the feeling it gave us through the experience of it. The same idea as a pattern forms a memory as a vibratory frequency that’s used to organize our experiences to be of the same nature by resonating with the field of information involved, reforming it as our interpretation and perception of it, forming a coherent inner and outer reality of the same idea and overall pattern as a theme.

The Nature of Memory and the Faculty of the Imagination

While many people think that memory is formed as a factual recollection of an event in our life, in reality, we create our memories in our imagination by how we form our experience of the event. We then use our imagination to recall the memory and play it out once again in our mind as the means of keeping ourselves tuned to the reality of the memory as a theme for producing more of the same type of experiences in our present situation. Our memories of the past are formed largely by what we told ourselves about the experience that made it mean something and formed the story we told ourselves about it as a way of experiencing it. The meaning and story we told ourselves about something gave us a certain internal feeling, and out of that feeling we formed our experience of it.

As we formed our experience, we also formed an experience of how other people are, the world in general, and how we are in relationship to it all. Meaning and experience, like the mind and soul that’s creating it, is also threefold in nature and creates on three levels and scales simultaneously. As we create our experience of others and the world, we create ourselves by way of those same experiences. We create out of memory of the past as our mental paradigm to produce more of that same type of reality in the present, which sets the basis for the future as a form of self-regeneration and replication.

        Our material body, which means the brain, heart, gut, nervous system, and all aspects of the body, as well as our outer material reality (the whole material plane) is created by the subconscious aspect of the mind through memory as whole patterns that form a theme as a generalized idea that can be applied adequately to any situations and circumstances to reshape it into the “nature of the memory” by how we form an interpretation of it. We’re always looking through the memory of the past to perceive the present and interpreting it to mean the same thing. We only look at the information in any situation that matches or is conducive to forming the same idea over and over, and we ignore or can’t see what doesn’t. All of our perceptions are formed out of partial information that’s been reorganized through our interpretation of it that forms how we perceive it and how we form an experience of it as a result.

We’re always creating out of memory of some kind while in a material body, whether it comes as our own seemingly self-created memories, the ideas given to us or taught to us by others, or memories as archetypal ideas we draw into our mental sphere from higher planes. The subconscious, which is the creative aspect of the mind on the material plane, needs a memory as a thematic pattern for producing a perception of reality as our experience and personal creation. We change our experience by either changing the set of integrated memories producing it or by creating a virtual memory in the imagination that acts to give the subconscious a new idea for turning into a corresponding reality. The subconscious doesn’t know the difference between an actual reality and an imagined one because they’re both created the same way in the faculty of the imagination. As we conceive of something we form an internal representation of it in our imagination that conforms it to us, and provides a generalized idea for organizing how we first perceive, then experience it.

Transforming Memory 

We transform our memory of something, not by intellectually reinterpreting it, but by emotionally creating a new experience of it. We reform how we experience it in our imagination, until we get it the way we want it, then we replay it several times until it comes naturally without having to think about it. Once we can recall it instantly and we begin thinking about it as a part of our natural thoughts, we produce what we can think of as an artificial or virtual memory that provides the subconscious with a pattern for creating as a reality. As we form an inner experience of it that’s embellished with sensory information that naturally elicits an emotional response, and replay it in the exact same way over and over, we seat it in our subconscious and it becomes a natural part of our psyche. By changing our memories, we change our internal nature, and transform the nature of our outer reality as our experience of it.

Emotion is the motivating force of the subconscious and imagination, which is the creative component of the mind in terms of its ability to shape reality. Regardless of what intellectual or conscious decision we appear to make, it’s the emotion associated with our decision that determines what aspect of it we focus on and run through our imagination consistently that actually creates the experience we produce. Thought as an imagined reality is creative, and emotion drives the nature of our thoughts and how they form to tell a story. If we seem to consciously choose success, but then dwell in the fear of failure, we’re actually (unconsciously) choosing to create the experience of failing. By imagining an experience vividly and with intense feelings, we’re literally giving the subconscious the command and pattern as the “type of experience” we want it to create around the idea of what it means to succeed.

When our three minds are not coherently “aligned” and all acting in unison to create the same idea as a reality, we naturally default in favor of whatever has the strongest emotion associated with it. Strong emotion acts as a “hook” that controls our attention and what we consistently focus on, causing us to dwell in the reality of it repeatedly. Whatever idea produces a strong emotional charge in us tends to control what we focus on and create as an inner reality by how we run it through our mind as an actual scenario or possible experience. Our imagined experience acts as a rehearsal and preview of what’s to come.

The Conscious and Unconscious Nature of Choice 

While we tend to relate to the idea of choice as something we only engage in consciously through a form of deliberate and calculated act, the fact is we’re making a very fundamental decision to create by whatever it is we focus on and think about. While we can say the subconscious doesn’t have the ability to discriminate or “choose possibilities” as a means of consciously creating, it does have the ability through our emotional state to determine what it is we give our attention to, think about on a consistent basis, and therefore use our will to create as an outer reality.

The outer perception of reality ALWAYS comes as a correspondence to the inner reality of the imagination. This is because both are being created by the same aspect of the mind through the natural laws that govern it. You can’t dwell in hardship and suffering by constantly imagining it as an experience in your mind while acting to produce its opposite as an outer experience. You can’t produce what “you want” by constantly thinking about and creating the emotional state of what you “don’t want”. Whatever we dwell in, good or bad, we use our will to create as our experience of reality. Even if we are a part of what exists as a primarily positive set of circumstances that contradict our imagined idea for things, we’ll act to distort it and make it into the same feeling experience as our imagined thoughts by how we interpret it to create our experience of it. The mind uses its mental paradigm as the means for interpreting things to create a consistent story about them.

Material reality in and of itself is not the point or objective of the mind (soul) in creating reality, it’s the “experience” created through the material means. It’s how we use whatever material means or situation is available to us as our means for creating the “same type” of experience as our imagined ones. The material objects themselves have no meaning or value outside of the one we give them. Things only mean what we say they mean. Truth is whatever we say and believe is true. There really is no such thing as a truly “objective reality” because all reality is created by our mind as our perception of it formed by our mental paradigm as our vibratory frequency, and is ultimately “subjective” in nature. This means that not only are we the one creating our reality, but that we are then subject to (formed and determined) our own creation. We are always “creating ourselves” through how we create our experience of reality. We’re always acting on ourselves to create ourselves by how our mind operates to form the entire material plane as our experience of ourselves within a specific type of reality.

The Nature of an Idea as a Memory

All ideas come to us and exist as a form of memory. They provide us with a pattern as all the information needed that’s structured in a specific way to create the reality as a material form of the idea. An archetype of a chair, for example, provides us with the basic idea of “sitting” that we can then use to produce any number of styles or different types of chairs. And idea as a specific type of form vibrates at a specific frequency as a thematic pattern that can be used to organize matter on any level and scale of existence. If we have accumulated memory of being “betrayed”, we can interpret any number of behaviors or scenarios into meaning we’re being betrayed once again.

We form ideas into realities in our imagination, and in doing so, “tune ourselves” energetically to the reality of that idea where we act as the channel or vehicle for that idea to express through and produce an experience of itself. By tuning ourselves to an idea, we form it as an internal representation that acts as a virtual memory to produce a live simulation as an outer reality that allows us to experience that idea and our self “through that idea”. We first act to reshape the outer world to match the theme of the inner world as its creator that provides us with the means for creating an “experience of our self” through it. Whatever ideas we become a channel for as memory that we embody, we shape ourselves through the expression of those ideas, and they become a part of our personal memories forming our essential nature as a soul.

The subconscious can’t tell the difference between an actual experience and an imagined one, because they’re both created with the same faculty of the mind. They’re both created in exactly the same way. Our memories of the past are the creative template for creating more of the same type of experiences in the present. As we think about memories of various sorts, whether those of our actual experiences or ideas we’ve been taught and given by others, we use them to direct and command our subconscious to create more of the same type of experiences within our current situation. We literally tune ourselves to the vibration of our thoughts as a theme for creating experiences of our self. The soul is comprised of memory acquired through an infinite number of combining various forms of memory to express and reform the same basic idea of “itself”.

 The Motivating Force of Pleasure and Pain

The subconscious and all memory is driven by emotional states and motivated by ideas that represent pleasure or pain. These two types of motivational forces can also be translated as being similar to the idea of love and fear, which act to produce complementary opposites of the same idea. Regardless of what idea we hold in our mind, the emotion we associate to it determines whether we create an experience of it as being either pleasurable and therefore desirable, or painful and therefore something to be avoided. Whatever emotion we experience in relation to the idea determines whether or not we create it or its opposite as a possible variation. Whether or not we expand and move into an idea with the desire to become one with it, or contract and move away from an idea as a means of separating ourselves from it.

Many times we say we want something, yet, at the same time, we fear it, and in thinking about it we create it in our mind as a fearful experience rather than enjoying or loving it, and we program our own mind to dread and move away from or avoid something we ultimately desire. These same laws apply and operate in an absolute fashion regardless of our ideas of right and wrong, and good or bad, and serve to create in a negative fashion just as readily as they do in a positive fashion, all based on how we imagine them and create an inner experience of them as a command, rehearsal and preview for our subconscious to produce as an outer reality.

Belief and Knowing through Direct Experience

It’s very important to get a thorough understanding of an idea as a law or principle in order to use it by applying it in a fully aware and deliberate manner. While belief is important until we actually know something as a fact through the direct experience of it, it can also lead us astray if we believe in the wrong thing, and therefore can never create the actual experience of our belief, while unconsciously engaging in creating the opposite without realizing it, because of course we’re the ones that are creating it by how we use our mind. We only truly know what we can do. All law is known by its ability to produce our experience of reality. When we’re asked to believe in something we can’t apply and experience, we invest in a fundamental form of deception.

A lack of belief in what operates as law negates and argues against something, producing the imaginary reality of its beliefs, entering doubt as a form of contesting its own psychological powers. It directly challenges an operation out of a lack of true self-awareness and understanding. When we don’t realize we’re the ones creating the reality of our beliefs, regardless of what they are, we imagine that reality is something that exists separate from us instead of as an inherent part of us. We believe our perception of reality comes from our ability to accurately observe and evaluate it from a detached perspective where “we’re in reality and it’s happening to us from outside of us”. While this is true in one respect of the objective reality of the collective unconscious that we are all a part of as the “original creation” that provides the primary substratum as a universal idea that we all use to create personalized versions, “how” we experience our joint reality is a personal creation based on our “model of the world”.

Once true clarity is achieved through the self-recognition of how we’re always using our mind to create, we come to know it as a fact through the direct experience of it, and we begin working cooperatively with it by learning how to operate our own mind and imagination. The truth is there is no absolute truth in terms of the true nature of “what reality is” in the objective sense of a generalized consensus, because every single person perceives the same general idea as a potential wave-form of information, in a slightly different way, based on their mental paradigm and conditioning as the memory being used as a filter to perceive it. The only way we have of trying to figure out if something is actually real or not, is if two or more people “appear to be seeing the same thing”. Even then, they’ll see a somewhat different version of the same thing based on what stands out and is emphasized and what’s ignored or not noticed. A unique version is formed through a filtering system that determines what they’re able to see and comprehend, and what they can’t see or comprehend.

The Nature of Will – Self and Others

One of the most prevalent laws there are as a kind of universal rule that governs both good and evil, and everything in-between, is that we can’t ever act to violate another person’s free choice and will. This isn’t just a nice idea or a form of courtesy, it’s a universal law. What this means in terms of our ability to create at a personal level, is that whatever we imagine and set forth as a vivid internal experience as the means of producing the outer equivalent, can’t involve another person specifically. If someone else is involved in our wish, we have to create a generalized or universal idea of the person as simply being someone of the same desire, karma, and will as we are. While realizing that when the experience manifests, the other person that will be a natural part of it will be of the same memory (vibratory frequency) and will as we are. If we form an idea that involves a specific person that won’t naturally play a part in that kind of reality, then we experience it as not working, or we struggle endlessly in an attempt to get the other person to comply and cooperate in an agreeable manner.

All wishes and virtual memories produced in the imagination as a request and template for creating as an experience of reality, should only involve yourself or a universal concept of another person who would naturally be a part of that same type of experience. Just as the realization that when we act to change actual memories that were formed with other people, we have to change their nature in order to act it out in a different way, because as long as their nature stays the same, they can only participate in creating the same type of experience over and over again. You can’t create a new type of experience from the same old memories as perceptions and behavioral attitudes. In creating a new experience based on a new idea, you have to leave the nature and identity of the people involved open knowing that only those who are capable of creating those types of experiences will be involved in the actual reality that manifests.

Temptation – The True Nature of Choice, Will, and Facilitating a Process of Change

The definition of temptation is to induce a person to committing an act by manipulation, seduction, curiosity, strong desire, or out of the fear of loss. Something that coaxes us to engage in short-term urges of enjoyment that threatens long-term goals. We seem to decide between two things, both of which are desirable and compelling in some way, which means we have to give up one of them in order to have or create the other, and a form of internal conflict ensues as a result. We still have a strong desire for what we’re “giving up” while simultaneously knowing that if we engage in it we’ll regret it in the long run, we’ll sabotage ourselves somehow, or we’ll feel disappointed in ourselves.

The feeling of loss we experience when giving up something we find pleasurable or emotionally gratifying in some manner, or that fulfills a need of some kind, in pursuit of something we feel is even more desirable or beneficial, can set into motion a form of internal conflict and constant negotiation that produces an experience of suffering in regards to our choices. It creates a kind of catch twenty-two as a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” type scenario. This is why “will” is an inherent part of choice as the necessary means for actualizing it and bringing about the desired change by exercising our ability to consciously self-create in a deliberate and purposeful manner.

What we tend to experience is that the minute we decide to give something up that we find pleasurable and have established a habit around, we feel an immediate sense of loss, and experience an intensified and heightened desire for it. We crave it and develop a hankering for it. As we abstain from it, our desire for it seems to become even more pronounced and stronger. Not because it actually is, but because we’re going through change as a withdrawal where we’re very aware of the absence and we miss it and have a longing for it. Because we miss it we have a heightened awareness around it, and think about it in a compulsory manner.

This craving as missing what we’re giving up is the most basic form of temptation that begins a greater process. Once we make it past the initial thrust of exercising sheer willpower and we get a few days into it, we feel we have a handle on it, we become more relaxed in regards to it, and another form of temptation comes into play. This is the coercive, gently seductive part of us that starts talking to us in a way that totally makes sense and makes it okay to relapse, give up our desire to change, and go back to business as usual. This voice plays on our weakness, portraying it in a way that makes it seem like we’re not giving in, just deciding we can do it while still pursuing our other goal in spite of it. We tell ourselves we can somehow manage or control it or not let it affect us. This aspect of us is very persuasive and convinces us to go back to our old ways and forfeit the idea of changing.

This kind of abstinence brings a sense of suffering, internal conflict and emotional anguish, as well as a form of constant emotional negotiation where we begin arguing with ourselves as one aspect outright manipulating and trying to gain power over another aspect. We always have multiple aspects of ourselves that look at everything from different perspectives, with different attitudes, ideas, and motives. In purely psychological terms these are called archetypes or sub-personalities, but we can also think of them as different aspects of our own personality as being of a “multiple” nature and therefore exist in a primary state of constant inner turmoil that’s often arbitrary and capricious.

We are not singular beings with a concentrated focus, but rather composed of a dynamic multifaceted nature that often exists in a primary state of opposing itself. We also have subconscious tendencies, which are emotionally motivated and experientially driven that often directly oppose our rational and objective thinking. The subconscious mind is the part of us that’s ritualistic, habitual, and automated in nature and forms habits around emotionally gratifying activities, then defends the right to preserve those activities. Anytime the subconscious mind is in conflict with the self-conscious, thought-oriented mind of objective reasoning, it nearly always wins out because it uses emotions as the means to seduce, coax, and manipulate the rational mind. Emotions, when left unguarded and allowed to play out without containment, tend to completely run our thought and engage us in compulsive urges and pleasure driven behaviors that have no regard or concern for consequences. This is what we call the lower, animal mind that’s instinctively driven through compulsive sensuous urges and thoughtless behaviors.

When we make a decision to change somehow, our path divides as a kind of fragmentation and sets into motion the need to debate the validity of our choice based on a sense of loss. Whatever we give up, we miss, even if we realize it was bad for us. As we miss it we form an intense longing for it by only thinking about what was good about it, forgetting all the bad. A form of seductive enticement takes place within our own mind. We literally battle with ourselves, first weakening ourselves through thoughts of desire and enhanced sensory imagination that amplifies and concentrates the feelings of pleasure around the activity of it, then struggle with a form of mental anguish at being strong enough to resist it.

This whole process takes place because we haven’t learned how to operate our own mind in terms of realizing how we form an internal representation of ideas that make them either compelling or repulsive. Anytime we’re talking about the “will”, we’re referring to the imagination. It’s through the imagination that we work directly on our own subconscious mind, which doesn’t “think” in terms of verbal thoughts, but rather takes verbal thoughts and turns them into sensory realities in the imagination that invoke a strong emotional component that either make them pleasurable and compelling, or painful and repulsive. Pleasure and pain are the motivating forces of our lower nature as a form of primal drive. Subconsciously we’re always moving towards pleasure and away from pain.

To “will something” is to create the reality of it in the imagination “as if” it’s already happening, creating an experience of it that’s very desirable and has positive emotions associated with it. The language of the subconscious mind is “strong sensory experiences” that elicit an equally strong emotional response. Emotions are the language of the material plane and come as a natural response to our thoughts and experiences. We have to make whatever it is we want to create (our choice) very appealing in sensory terms, while making what we want to quit doing very disgusting and repulsive in sensory terms. Ideas as a sensory reality that mimics an actual experience invokes emotions that not only become the formative motivating factor, but also act to connect us to that same idea all around us. Emotion is the language as a frequency of the material plane and runs in currents that are being transmitted and received all the time. Whatever our emotional state, we’re engaged in the reality of that state and act as a magnet for its fulfillment by organizing and interacting with that same emotion in everyone and everything around us.

One of the primary functions of the imagination is to form “internal representations” of thought as ideas that we use in place of the actual reality of it. When we think about an activity as an experience, we make it either compelling or repulsive based on “how we think about it” it terms of what we associate with it and use to give it meaning. When we associate positive ideas and feeling with it, we create a very pleasurable, joyful, and fulfilling experience of it. Likewise, when we associate negative ideas with it, we make it painful, ugly, and disgusting somehow. This internal representation as an imagined experience of it provides us with a preview that either makes it tempting and hard to resist, or uninteresting and easy to forget. In order to make an idea compelling we have to infuse it with very pleasurable and desirable associations, while making the idea we’re moving away from seem disgusting, repulsive or awful somehow.

If we pay close attention, we’ll further realize that the internal images or scenarios we form in our imagination of the idea has certain sensory attributes and qualities that work at the purely subconscious level to make it seem either distant and dissociated or up-close and intensely real. These sensory features are called sub-modalities and are the method we use to further develop how we represent an idea to ourselves. Anything that we watch and run through our mind’s eye that seems small, off in the distance, and either black and white or monotone in color, lacks intensity and isn’t provocative. It seems far off and unattainable, more like a distant memory that produces very little emotional impact. However when we form images and imagined scenario’s that seem up-close, in vivid color, and intense where we see, hear, feel, smell, touch, and are talking to ourselves about the experience we’re having in very positive terms, they become immediate and act to produce very compelling emotions.

Likewise, whatever we associate an idea with not only shapes the meaning it has but how we “feel about it” when thinking of it. As a general rule the mind is always in the process of forming a chain-of-association that links ideas together as a way of making them mean something and classifying them accordingly. Whatever ideas we associate with an idea shapes that idea in terms of what it means, and them meaning it has shapes how we experience it and what it means about us in relationship with it. We develop ideas to give them meaning by how they exist in relationship with other ideas of a similar nature. When we make positive associations it intensifies the love and desire for the idea, whereas when we associate very negative and disgusting ideas with it, it makes it very repulsive and we form a kind of disdain for it. In whatever way we shape the idea in our mind as an experience that’s associated to other ideas of the same nature, that makes them either desirable or repulsive, shapes our tendency towards or away from them simultaneously.

By learning how to work with our own imagination to form an internal representation of an idea that we use to let go of ideas or break habitual tendencies, or move towards more beneficial ideas with a sense of eagerness and enthusiasm is the secret to using your will to transform habits and behaviors that we’ve outgrown or realize are not in the best interest of our growth and development. When we make a decision to quit one thing and begin doing something new, and we use our “will” to actualize the reality of our choice, doesn’t mean to suffer and struggle through the agony of constant temptation to eventually tire, relapse and give up, but comes rather as our ability to change how we’ve polarized an idea to move it from a desirable to an undesirable state, while transferring the feeling of desire from the old idea onto the new idea. By taking what we once deemed pleasurable and rendering it painful by how we re-present the idea to ourselves internally by “remaking the experience”, makes it easy to resist. As we form our new idea with intense sensory details, positive and compelling emotions, and associate it with ideas whose meaning makes us feel the way we want to feel, we naturally move towards them with a sense of love, devotion, and excitement. It’s all about how an experience makes us feel and what it means about us as we engage in it.

All ideas as realities or potential for creating realities through choice and will, exist in a polarized state as complementary opposites that are extremes of the same idea and form a range or scale between them as degrees of the same thing. All change in the ultimate sense comes as a change in degrees of the same thing, rather than a change in kind. Whenever we “quit” one thing in favor of another, it usually comes as moving from the negative aspect of the idea to what we could think of as the positive aspect. We don’t ever really quit habits, but rather transform them into new habits that are more desirable in terms of their benefits. Whenever we decide to change a behavior, we have to decide what behavior we’re going to replace it with or what we’re going to do instead. If we leave an empty void by deciding to quit something without replacing it, we’ll tend to draw something else in unconsciously and simply begin doing something else that’s not thought out and deliberate. So the minute we decide what we’re no longer going to be, we have to immediately decide what we’re going to be instead, and make a transition from one mindset to another.

Association also has another component in behavioral changes and that comes through the process of “anchoring” an idea as a means of designing a natural “trigger” for it as an activating mechanism. We form a series of associations to an idea that act as the means of activating a whole behavioral pattern as a kind of memory. Throughout our daily life, as we go about our normal activities, we are constantly forming an association in the present with memories of the past as a way of being able to assign “instant meaning” to things as our natural perception of them. Certain behaviors, characteristics, words, tone of voice, touching us somewhere on our body, smells, and so on, act as triggering mechanisms that cause us to reference old memories and bring them forward into the present, associating the present with the past as a form of “this means the same thing as that”, and we subconsciously play out the same pattern as a set of automated behaviors. By realizing this, we can either associate the new behavior to the same thing that served as a trigger for the old behavior, or we can create a new one that we use intentionally to instantly change our state and “activate the pattern” we’re replacing it with. In this way, the old behaviors are no longer capable of being activated in us unconsciously by the same triggers.

Once we realize how to use our imagination to transform old ideas and form new enticing and compelling ones, we realize that we’re no longer “tempted” by the old, and have no trouble whatsoever refraining from it. Just the fact that we’re still tempted by an idea shows us that we either haven’t really made a true decision against it and for something else, and we’re still therefore debating it, or we haven’t used our mind in the appropriate way to change how we perceive, present, and relate to the idea. The decision to quit one thing in favor of another comes through realizations that we form around what we’re doing and the results it produces as natural consequences to our actions. Once we make a decision towards something new that facilitates our growth in a positive manner, and we “willfully bring that choice into fruition”, means to use the natural power of our imagination to re-orientate ourselves in relation to both, what we’re letting pass away, and what we’re creating in its place. Anytime we use our will as our imagination in this manner, change becomes easy and natural and undertaken with a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation, and temptation of the old doesn’t even exist as a part of our experience. We simply forget about the old and move fully into the new filled with a sense of anticipation and awe at our own ability to create our reality and become self-determined as a result.

Life Crisis and the Nature of Personal Transformation

Many people turn away from or choose to not undergo the process of personal transformation required as soul growth through the means of birthing your higher-self through the use of choice and will within the everyday life of their normal consciousness. This is because it can be very disruptive and completely change the way you live your life, and “who” you are in the most essential sense. It takes a great deal of courage and mortal fortitude to brave and endure the process of the life you’ve built your identity around completely falling apart, crumbling beyond repair, and leaving your life, often giving you a painfully deepened sense of isolation and abandonment. While being completely alone in life can be one of the most painful experiences there are, leaving us constantly searching for meaning and purpose, being devastated financially, raped of your dignity, and outcast by those you once loved and thought loved you, brings about a new kind of pain that can bring you to the brink of total destruction. Because of this tendency to resist it at all costs and not being willing to consciously choose it, many who have made a soul agreement to undergo the transformative process where you enter it consciously and are aware of it, think about it, have premonitions of it coming, experience it instead as happening “to you” without choice or control. We often even initiate it through unconscious behaviors and emotional turmoil that are sabotaging and actually work to set the inevitable into motion. What we deem self-sabotaging behaviors may not be a bad thing, but actually a necessary part of our evolution where we unconsciously act out in situations we’re not happy in and often feel tormented by in the essential sense, even though they might appear quite fortunate and comfortable on the surface.

 
For those destined for complete transformation of the body and souls as a form of spiritual mission or dedication that comes as a turbulent inner struggle and decisions, chances are we undergo many forms of transformation as challenges and hardships that seem to be cast upon us without choice or desire, that we find the strength to manage in some way, that ends up growing and developing us, while perhaps drastically changing the direction of our life because of them, that seem to be preparing us through practice for the larger transformations that to come at a mature age where their effects are more drastic and prominent and the patterns of our life more set and fixed. Yet, even in these smaller, life-altering events, we may find, looking back on them, that we participated in bringing them about through some form of inner struggle that they seemed to resolve, or lead us into because we knew we had no choice morally.

These experiences started for me early in life, and so I became accustomed to them in a strange sort of way where drastic and constant changes became the norm. My childhood was very unstable, and I ended up running away and living on the streets, not because I was abandoned, but because I chose to. I wasn’t willing to compromise myself or allow the events to take place that were inevitable if I continued living at home, so I left because I felt safer on the streets than I did at home. At least on the streets I had some control, and could, through my own decisions and actions keep myself safe. Though this led into a traumatic time in my life of tremendous hardship and uncertainty, I also grew in strength and confidence, and was able to set up a life where I not only took care of myself, but continued to go to school, be placed in advanced learning, and graduated high school two years early with a college scholarship. All without nobody realizing I wasn’t living at home.

 
Later, when my son was born, he had health problems that I had to go through extreme lengths to get diagnosed, because even though I was intuitively picking up on it, the symptoms were common and subtle, and no one believed me. When I finally got help with a diagnosis, it was within hours of saving his life, and brought on a year long process of multiple surgeries, living in the hospital and out of my car, being ruined financially and devastated emotionally. I had to draw on a part of myself I didn’t know was there, and came into the full realization of a higher consciousness that I could access at will, and use to make calculated decisions and perform operations that would later be seen as miraculous. I came to know the meaning of unconditional love, total surrender to the creative process of life, and the incredibly powerful sense of myself that came from realizing that I would die for my son. This experience changed me at the deepest level of my sense of self, matured me exponentially, and gave me incredible moral strength and complete confidence in my intuition and my ability to handle anything. Through this experience I built a working relationship with the higher power that’s active in my life and available as willpower.

 
Years later, after going through financial bankruptcy, and struggling to keep a failed marriage together, flirting with drug addiction and encountering the darker side of seemingly normal things, after a series of premonitions, my husband was abruptly killed by being stabbed through the heart while in the stall of a bathroom, set my life into a tailspin prolonged by a year long trial in our home town of 2,400 people. Needless to say, it was the event of the decade, and got constant media attention. His death brought me face to face with the reality of what happens when and after we die. I developed an insatiable sense of wonder about our true spiritual nature, the meaning of life, and how all things serve a purpose in terms of the experiences and life lessons they set in motion, in which we are lured and drawn deeply into as the “point of no return”. This event and everything that ensued from it completely changed the direct of my life, set into motion a whole new set of questions and a deep desire to know the true nature that underlies and orchestrates things. At 30 years of age, my true spiritual quest into the unknown fully kicked into motion and changed the course of my life and how I looked at things.

Even though I continued to experience other events that continued morphing and changing the direction of my life, most seemed rather easy and void of real pain after this. As my path steadily led into a serious and devoted study of spiritual sciences, a decision to return to college, and when approaching my thesis for my Ph.D. in Spiritual Sciences, both of which centered around personal transformation, I began realizing what I called my “soul agreement” in regards to mastering this process, not by having it seemingly thrust upon me through what seemed like tragedy and trauma in which I had no control or conscious say so in, but as a willed experience that I cooperatively engaged in.

 
My true dedication became apparent when my college insisted I write about it as a clinical study or form of research project, that used and cited other professionals work as a means of proving or validating my ideas, which of course would have been a spin-off of what’s already been done, instead of writing about it from experience, which is what I was proposing. I wanted to undergo it in a completely conscious manner so I could capture the experience of it, and know through the experience what we have to access as a means of “making it”. And not letting it overcome us or do us in . . . which of course, it can. I felt so strongly about this, that when I couldn’t get it approved, I declined the Ph.D. program, and went for my Doctorate instead. Upon graduation, after I got over the tremendous feeling of relief and congratulating myself (it’s a lot of work), a voice inside of me calmly said . . . “now its time to practice what you’ve learned theoretically”. A serious feeling came over me as a form of dread, and I knew the real work had only just begun and that my life up to this point served only as a preview for what was to come. And from that point forward my life as I knew and built it, began systematically falling apart and leaving. And even in the moments when I desperately tried to grab onto some form of security and stability long enough to get my bearings, I couldn’t. Nothing worked. And all I seemed to see and encounter was the incredibly false nature of things; of people, relationships, communities, companies, government . . . everything around me seemed to be revealing a hidden nature that while I knew and suspected it was there before, didn’t really know for sure. Then I began realizing that everything else was changing because I was changing, and as what I thought was my true nature began falling away and I was no longer able to use it to create my reality, the equally false nature of everybody and everything began dissolving and all I could see and sense was who they really were at their deepest, most essential parts. And it all but devastated me. Even though I thought that I knew the true reality of things through my extreme intellect and well developed intuition, I quickly came to realize in very abrupt terms, that this was not the case!

 
As I lost just about everything and who I was by way of what I owned, the job I had, the amount of money I made, and the image I presented and experienced myself through, my relationship with everything else changed also, and the ones based on the false image I had so successfully created and the confident dynamic persona I had perfected, changed, revealing an entirely different side to things, and everything I had become accustomed to and dependent on “left” my life. I came to know extreme forms of humility, abandonment, surrender, sacrifice, unbearable insecurity, and the depths of anguish encountered at the bottom of what seems like the bottomless pit of the dark night of the soul, when we find ourselves in a place the eye does not see, where we can no longer grab onto things, ideas, roles, people, situations, relationships, or jobs to pull ourselves up with and provide us with some form of hope and relief, we come into another realization, one that at first is foreign to us and even awkward to contemplate, we begin noticing and sensing a feeling deep within us that seems to be reaching out to us, longing for our desolate gaze, which the moment we become truly aware of it, begins taking hold and growing in us, while everything else fades away. As it grows inside of us it begins fortifying us with a new sense of life and energy. As we begin drawing on it out of the depths of despair, we’re filled with a renewed sense of hope and moral comfort. The more attention we give it, the more it swells inside of us, softly seducing us with its soft penetrating glow.

 
In this final moment of drawing on our inner strength, free from the confines and affects of the material world, we begin realizing our true identity as being in this world, but not of it. We surrender and give ourselves over, not to an external force, but to an internal one. One that can’t be lost or taken away. One that resides in us eternally and unconditionally. One that’s always been there and never leaves us, but requires our recognition and invitation. Once this happens, and we begin settling into a new kind of spiritual wealth, where simply lose interest in material wealth, no longer crave excess or nonessential ideas and things, and begin experiencing a newfound freedom born out of a lack of attachment to material things, and we begin working consciously to simplify and streamline our life. We lose selfish interests and turn our attention instead to helping others by contributing in a more meaningful way to benefit others on their own spiritual journeys into self-healing through self-recognition and realization.

We come to realize that forgiveness itself is an illusion, because those we imagine have betrayed or forsaken us, honestly don’t know what they do because they’re caught up in the illusion of their life and feel warranted and justified in their actions. No one can attack or hurt us unless we’re invested in the same illusion and therefore deem ourselves hurtable or attackable. When we separate ourselves from the illusion we normally share with others as a primordial form of ignorance, we no longer react to them. They can no longer cause a reaction in us in response to them. They exercise no control over us. They no longer affect us. We no longer share the same reality that’s producing their behavior towards us. We realize with great clarity and absolution, that their perception and behavior has nothing to do with us, and is simply an expression of who they are and the reality they live in as a projection of their own mind. Through this realization we come to realize there’s nothing to forgive, because they don’t have the ability to harm us. They have inflicted no pain on us, and we have not suffered at their mercy. We no longer share the error of their thinking, and so it doesn’t become a part of our experience.

 
When we shift our very perception of life, what things mean, how they appear to us, the true nature of reality and what’s happening in the true underlying sense, we move to a higher vibration and cultivate a different kind of awareness that no longer relates or partakes in the lower levels of consciousness still shrouded with the veil of unconsciousness. Once you know, you can’t not know. Once you see and realize the true reality of the material realm that disguises ideas with outer appearances, you don’t even notice the outer appearance anymore, but experience directly their inner nature instead. You begin seeing people as they are being distinctly separate from you, and therefore unable to affect you because you’ve changed how you enter into relationship with them, and everything else changes accordingly. People who used to upset you, cause you to feel anger and hatred or disgust, you now view with compassion because you realize fully that they are consumed with ignorance and basically unaware of what they’re actually doing, and more importantly, because their consciousness no longer resonates with yours, and therefore doesn’t enter into you and produce an effect in you . . . so they can’t hurt you or even disturb your internal peace of mind, because they exist outside of and apart from you.

 
When we’re no longer affected by the emotions and mental projections of others, not prone to addictions and cravings that command our will, and we become passionless in terms of worldly pleasures and success, we detach from material possessions as the means of providing us with our identity and sense of self. We detach from external outcomes, and maintain our sense of self from an internal source that’s eternally peaceful and only affected by the consciousness that inhabits the internal plane, which is benevolent and selfless. Karma – “The Unconscious Motivation that Drives Behavior”

Many people either take a very simple approach to the idea of karma, or are somewhat confused about it altogether and therefore doesn’t know what to think about it for sure. We’ve been taught to invest a great deal in the idea of surface appearances, or appraising the exterior behavior itself as a form of “what you put out, you get back”, or what goes around comes around, indicating that we get done unto us, through the same type of behavior, what we have done unto others. Yet this can be very misleading in the most basic sense, because it fails to recognize the quality of consciousness behind our behaviors that act to motivate them. The behavior or act itself, while it does engage us in a purely cause and effect relationship that can render both immediate and long term consequences, the actual karma that’s being played out comes by way of the “quality of consciousness” as a form of memory that forms a perception as an interpretation that serves to motivate (cause) the action we take in response to it as a behavior of some sort.

 
While the behavior itself, within the context of a certain situation or set of circumstances are largely based on exterior stimulus of some sort, and pertain to the individual(s) involved and how they enter into relationship with one another and act to awaken certain qualities within each other, it’s the potential “in us” being activated and called forth in the moment, that we are expressing “out of” by behaving as a tendency or personality trait, that’s the basis for the actual karma involved, that’s being incurred and created all in the same act.

 
Karma exists as memory of some sort that has a pattern of “action – reaction” inherent in it that exists in us as a natural tendency that’s largely unconscious, meaning, we’ve created an illusion around it as a story we tell ourselves about it or out of it, that justifies and explains it, making us not fully aware of it in actual terms. Which means we don’t realize it for what it really is, and don’t “own it” as a result. Because of this, we continue to act it out in numerous ways through a variety of behaviors.
All perception in the ultimate sense is actually memory that’s being used as an interpretive device to create our experience of something. All perception stems from making a direct association with something in the present to something in the past, or a feeling that’s being stimulated that has a memory inherent in it, that we reference and pull up in our imagination and use as a form of mental template to interpret the current situation to mean the same thing as the past situation as a means of experiencing it, that prompts the same pattern, causing us to react in a similar way. We repeat the same patterns of meaning over-and-over in an automatic and habitual manner as a form of storyline, which acts to interpret a neutral situation or other’s people behavior in a similar manner, which serves to form a consistent theme as our overall life story. Karma, as the soul’s accumulated memory, forms a dynamic and intrinsic network of coherent beliefs as a larger theme that forms smaller patterns of the same nature as fractal patterns (offspring) that express the same attitude and perspective necessary to tell a consistent story. This is the real nature of karma that eludes most people because they don’t understand what it actually is, in terms of being a part of our basic character that we express in many ways throughout all areas of our life (lives).

 
In order to be hostile or rude and abrupt to people, causing an adverse reaction, you have to be of the type of character which spontaneously behaves that way, while telling yourself a story about it that makes it not only okay, but entirely appropriate somehow. Then when others react by embodying the same emotional attitude, and treat us the same way, we use that to justify our attitude in the first place, usually without ever realizing that we were the one that created it by how we first acted that warranted a direct reaction of the same nature. People who have “abandonment issues” for example, often produce the very behaviors that cause them to get abandoned, without ever realizing it, or may have a tendency to act in ways that abandon others first, causing a like reaction, while justifying or perceiving their behavior in a way that doesn’t warrant the reaction they get, and so they feel they’re innocent and it’s being done “to them” instead. So they continue to repeat the same patterns, which simply reinforce them, causing them to become more and more identified with them, without direct awareness of the fact that they’re actually creating it. This is how karma actually plays out in our life in a major way.

So the behavior being employed is not the karma itself, but rather what’s motivating the behavior as a perception based on an interpretation, as a mental filter that’s actually producing the karma by expressing through it, as a natural tendency. Our behavior is a natural function of the subconscious mind, which is emotionally driven and a primary product of memory. The subconscious needs a memory as a pattern for function that’s performed through the style inherent in the personality, which is also of the subconscious mind. Our behavior is so natural to us, that for the most part, we lack any direct awareness of it, but are always in the experience of it through what we’re busy telling ourselves as a constant stream of internal dialogue. We can however, become self-aware by observing our own natural tendencies, by disassociating ourselves as always being directly “in” the experience, and watch ourselves instead as if we’re watching someone else, while quieting all the stories we’re telling ourselves about why we’re doing something, and view ourselves objectively, as we would another person. View ourselves within a scenario as a movie, where we’re not the main star, but rather as one of the characters that’s apart of a larger story.

 
So in order to identify your own karma, anytime you are reacting in anyway, stop and self-reflect on the nature of the reaction, what emotions have been stimulated in you that are causing the reaction, and what memories are associated to the emotion in terms of what you’re referencing, accessing, calling forth from the past into the present, and using to interpret the present to mean the same thing by the story your form out of it through the feeling it gives you, and how you react or respond accordingly. Also, notice in all your own actions in relationships of various sorts, what is the underlying motive behind all your behaviors towards them? What is it that you are secretly trying to create by how you’re interacting? What behaviors are you embodying as a means of living out a certain type of story that’s designed to elicit a specific type of response in the other or in group situations?
Always self-reflect on what quality of consciousness as a form of operation as an agenda that you are feeling at any given time, that’s acting to motivate your behavior in some way. In this, you’ll begin to recognize your own karma as a mode of operation (pattern) that’s a quality of consciousness based out of memory of some form, whether it be in this lifetime or another, the memory is experienced as a feeling that activates a whole thought-process as an expression of it. The thought-process is a story that indicates certain behavior as the natural enactment of it, that serves to create out of it as a thematic reality, that consistently forms the same type of story and warrants the same type of response, that recreates the same type of experiences over and over, that ultimately govern your life by becoming major themes out of which you form your life story as a congruent form of inner dialogue that you project on to others, and live out as if it’s true . . . which of course, creates it, and thereby makes it true!

Pineal Gland – The Spiritual Experience of Conscious Dreaming

Often when we talk about envisioning, soul journeying, or spiritual experience, many don’t know for sure what it is or what the terms actually mean in the real sense. Here my goal is to simply describe the basic nature of the mystical experience in terms of the energetic hallucinations that are a natural function of the imagination when being used with greater abilities. Everybody’s experience varies to a certain degree and some have distinct personal styles of envisioning just as we have unique and varying mental perceptions of normal day-to-day reality. I am only giving a basic idea as a means of comprehending what the experience might be like.

I will give basic terminology “meaning” simply as a means of creating distinctions for greater understanding of how it actually operates. The descriptions are not the things themselves, but simply the ideas used to illustrate the nature of the experience as if you were actually having it. Anytime we are attempting to describe what lacks description, a vague approximation as a representation must always be considered and applied in the practical sense. We must get a ‘feel” for, or sense what we’re talking about. It’s only important that you understand so that you will know when you are actually having the experience. Like most forms of intuition, chances are you are doing it to a certain extent naturally as part of your human nature and simply don’t realize that’s what it is. Like most things if we don’t have some sort of direct training on or around an idea, or don’t have anybody to talk to about it, we are always left somewhat guessing and wondering, while never really knowing for sure. The more training we have, the more knowledge we gain about a subject, the more we begin seeing it all around us and know how to interact with it in a meaningful way. The first step to mastery at any level is education and obtaining knowledge that can be practiced accurately and with immediate results.

We must start by realizing that the most basic principle of the Universe is that of Evolution. Everything is in motion and a constant state of fluctuating as “becoming”. All energy and life-forms in the energetic realm of the astral plane (which we experience during meditation) move and flow through rhythmic movements that form a basic entrainment that serves to align the whole system through a natural form of rapport – resonance as energetic sympathy, where energy as information that enters into essence of some form and creates an effect. The nature of the energy as a “quality of consciousness” creates a analogous (like) form. Follow this basic procedure for starting any kind of meditation or hypnosis designed to stimulate and open the third-eye or Pineal gland.

Sit in a reclined position or lie down in a comfortable position. Systematically relax your body through a basic relaxation technique. Then scan your body for any areas you might still be holding tension in, and consciously relax it by intending it. Tell it to relax, and then allow it. Close your eyes, and focus on your breathing, the sound of your breath, the movement of your chest up, and down, rising and falling, and notice that the air you inhale is cool and dry, and as you exhale it is warm and moist. As you begin merging with your breath, sense your heart beat. Then simply observe the rhythm of your breath with the beat of your heart, and notice that just by placing your attention on both of them, they begin forming synchronicity. Continue breathing, listening to your heartbeat and relaxing your body. Don’t try to control the process, simply allow. Inside, find the center of your head, then create a spacious feeling around it. Place your attention straight ahead betwee your eyebrows, and slightly above eye-level. You should feel a slight strain in your eyes from the angle. Just relax into it by allowing it.

Notice that in the darkness you may not see much in terms of shapes, but maybe various saturation as patterns of black to grey. There maybe be clouded areas that take on colors, or simply seem grayish against the black background. You may notice a dark spot or “hole” that either begins a swirling motion around it, or slowly forms into an eye, then fades and disappears. You may see the eye from different angles and various perspectives. You may notice pinpoints of light that resemble stars or form into constellations. They may be whitish or take on colors, or perhaps have rainbow-like halos.

Keep your attention focused in your third eye, the spot between your eyebrows in the lower part of your forehead. If it wanders, simply bring it back and continue to focus. If you find yourself allowing one of the thoughts to take hold and begin forming into a conceptual reality, simply refocus your attention to the center of your head and allow the thoughts to simply move by in a stream-like motion. Don’t try to make anything happen, or anticipate what’s going to happen, but simply allow your mind to feel spacious, vast and extremely open. Create the feeling of empty space. Imagine it like an open arena or large stage. You are not the director or writer of the play, simply the observer. The audience. You will allow whatever unfolds to entertain you. Reveal itself to you while you simply watch.

You may notice wave-like motions forming that either sweep from bottom to top, left to right or a combination of both. It may start as clouds or misty concentrations, much like nebula in space, or more like moving sensations with no real distinction. More like impressions that forms evolving patterns. You will notice some sort or a rhythmic pattern that rises up, expands into a flowing motion, fully expresses, and then dissipates. Simply watch it without attempting to control it. Create a kind of appreciation or admiration around it. Enjoy it and give it your full attention.

The movement may begin taking on prismatic colors that fluctuate and shimmer as it unfolds. The designs or patterns may begin taking on crisp, geometric patterning at the height of there expression and be a primary dominate color. These geometric patterns that are flowing in wave-like or spiraling motions may start taking on the qualities of distinct objects or features. Either primary shapes, shapes of certain objects, or distinct symbolic objects that are readily recognizable. Again, simply surrender to the flow of energy and do not attempt to control or determine it. Simply watch and allow it. Be fully present with it.

These patterns may start forming into either images of people, animals or full images of some sort. They may be a combination of human features, mixed with animals with areas of objects or patterning of some sort. As you watch, you may notice they become more and more distinct. Continuing with the wave-like, flowing, or spiraling movement, you may notice that they evolve through various combinations of human and animalistic characteristics. They may also evolve through different age groups, races, gender or move distinctly into humans with animal parts and strange features. It may seem as if you are watching the same essence or energy cluster evolving through various lifetimes and the forms each of those lives entailed. You may seem to notice how masculine images have inherent feminine qualities and how the feminine posses masculine qualities.

Sometimes it seems like you see landscapes, places, buildings or activities of some sort. When the images become crisp and fully developed they may begin taking on a distinct holographic appearance with shimmering, fluctuating or lustrous prismatic colors. Some may seem almost recognizable as someone you know, or resemble a clear rendition of a mythological or archetypal figure. Some seem pretty, beautiful and intriguing, while others seem demonic, disturbing or grotesque. They may evolve through a series of unfoldment that includes all of them. Some appear to have gross features, shadowy qualities and glowing eyes, others resembles angels that seem powerful and passionate, more like artistic ideas. You will notice that the demonic, grotesque images do not invoke fear of any kind, but seem to almost be beautiful in a different sort of way. You will begin losing fear as a response to various life-forms. You’ll develop the ability to view beauty and ugliness with the same internal response.

As you observe these images in detail you may start noticing energy in your body. It may come as distinct sensations like a sinking feeling, bubbly, having trouble breathing, or it may be a distinct sexual arousal that follows the flowing quality of the image. You may notice certain parts of your body with distinct sensory sensations as hot, buzzy, tingly, cool, or hot inside and cold outside. You may experience arousal that moves down your legs and out the bottom of your feet in flushing, wave-like or streaking, flaring motions. You may feel a tingling sensation as energetic rushes, or feel waves of goose-bumps. You may feel what seems like pin-pricks or distinct discharges or penetration of some sort. The energy may move upwards in the same fashion. If it moves into your third-eye, your thought/visionary process it can create an erotic feeling of flushing euphoria that is similar to a low-grade orgasm. It will quicken your thoughts and noticeably seem to excite them, change their nature and the feeling quality of their expression. This is the chemical reaction to the thoughts rising in you as a natural correspondence.

If you feel sexually aroused, or almost as if you are going to have an orgasm of some sort, don’t let it freak-you out, it’s quite normal and will serve as a distinct benefit to making it a point to meditate more often. (smiling) This is the experience of what we refer to as the “kundalini” energy that resides at the base of your spine as the sexual energy that when aroused, rises up through the energetic system of the body creating an aroused sensation that promotes vitality and positive state-of-mind associated with the pleasure centers of the body that are often called “bliss”. You may even feel the sensation of being “entered” into physically and filled up if you’re a woman, or the pleasure that comes from filling up, if you’re a man. It’s the experience of merging and expanding into energetically. Keep in mind that this type of practice is what led the Sufi’s to write erotic love-poems to God, the Beloved.

The more you practice, the easier it gets, the more readily it comes, and you develop your ability to hold greater and greater amounts of physical pleasure in your body for extended periods of time without feeling overwhelmed and needing to discharge it. Like all things it takes dedicated practice over a life-time. Once you begin experiencing the benefits of deeper forms of meditation, you may become almost addicted to it. Like the endorphins as pleasure-chemistry created from exercise.

After these types of practices, you will never again wonder why Shamans and Magi’s dress the way they do, or what the Native American rituals were all about. You will understand through experience what the term “shape-shifting” means and where it came from, why it is a Universal theme. You will understand gargoyles and strange symbolic totems. Through this Universal experience of dynamic energy that has all the natural qualities that shape physical characteristics, you might even start desiring to change your personal style to take on less of a domesticated look, and instead choose a more natural, wild approach.

This practice will also help you to form immediate and natural rapport with Nature and all Living Beings. It creates the experience of feeling a deep connection to all of life. The experience itself acts to realign your whole system into a more organic and free-flowing structure. You will feel calm, confident and cultivate a kind of inner contentment. Peace of Mind that is based on passion and a devotion to all of life and Mother Earth. You will fall in love with life itself and begin rejoicing at the simplest of things. The magic of life, becomes normal. The ordinary takes on a sense of extraordinary through enhanced sensory experiences that make them seem erotically vivid and intensely alive!

Powers of the Mind: How to use your Mind to Transform Habits

We know that in order to use our mind to create experiences, we have to work by way of the laws that govern the mind. The mind operates according to these laws, and so to use it as a tool for creating in the physical sense by “operating it”, we can see these laws as giving us instructions for using our own mind in a deliberate manner. While we can easily see law in terms of “cause and effect”, or action creates an equal and like reaction, we often fail to recognize and even subtler idea as the operation of law, which is the unification of laws as aspects of the mind that produce physical reality as a “growth process” or offspring of an idea. In the mind’s ability to create or directly influence material manifestation, we are always working with the 3-fold nature of the mind as the higher conscious, the subconscious, and the self-conscious mind. In order to direct energetic processes to produce physical manifestations within our own being and self-created reality, these three aspects have to be in alignment and all working in a unified manner to produce different aspects of the same idea as a co-creation.

 
If we set a goal for ourselves that requires us to willfully produce it through behavior or actions of some sort that we deem productive and health promoting, yet the idea of it creates an “experience” of suffering and struggling in doing it, then what we actually produce as a physical manifestation is the reality that’s an equivalent correspondence to “suffering” and we continue to struggle with actually doing it. If, for instance, we decide to quit eating meat to improve our health and lose weight, yet, in refraining from eating meat, we crave it, think about it, and continue wanting it, we create an experience of being a vegetarian as hard, always craving what you can’t have, having to discipline yourself constantly, and suffering in order to do it. We continue forming positive internal representations around the pleasure of eating meat, while simultaneously associating feelings of deprivation and struggle to the idea of eating a diet void of meat.

 
How we use our mind to form an internal representation of an idea also determines how we experience that idea. It takes the idea, forms it with associated thoughts as an internal image, which triggers an emotional response to our own imagining as “body chemistry” that forms a physical manifestation as an experience of the imagined idea. Our emotions are chemistry in our body produced by hormones that alter our state, unifying the body with the mind, which produces a pronounced affect on our overall health as the energetic stimulation of chemistry which undergoes biological processes as a result of the chemistry. In this sense, the mind stimulates the body which aligns with it as a “state of mind” that bridges an idea (higher mind), with thoughts that form it in the imagination as a conceptual reality, producing and emotional response, which matches the body to the same vibratory frequency as the thoughts, and produces the behavior that acts it out, making a reality out of it.

The mind has the ability to direct the electrical and chemical processes of the body, and can transform the normal biological affect a food has in our body by the feelings, thoughts and emotions we associates to the food. This is especially true when the thoughts are about the health affects of the food on the body. Whatever belief or idea we hold about the food, for example, determines to a large extent the actual affect it produces. So if you’re trying to make behavioral changes to improve some area of your life, but you’re creating an experiencing of suffering around it by continuing to form positive and pleasurable associations to the behavior your quitting, and haven’t formed a positive association around the new behavior you’re replacing it with, and as a result you’re struggling and suffering with the idea, you’d be better off not making the change at all, because what you’re actually going to create is the reality as the physical result of your suffering.

 
Instead, by realizing this 3-fold nature of the mind which must be unified around the same idea, you can work more productively by forming an internal representation of the desired change (reality) associating very positive emotions to it that make it compelling, while also forming a negative internal representation (usually as an actual realization that’s embellished) around what you’re eliminating by replacing it with the new behavior. The mind always moves “towards pleasure” and “away from pain”. By forming a very positive idea as an experience of the desired behavior, you can create an experience of joy and empowerment in doing it. You envision the desired outcome it’s going to produce as an experience. When you think about the old behavior, it’s no longer appealing or tempting.

I used the example of a dietary change to illustrate the idea, but this pertains to any form of change you’re making in your life. You want to always notice what type of experience you’re creating in making the change. Notice what idea you’re associating to both. Notice how you present the ideas to yourself internally by how you imagine them, by how you think about them. Work to form the representations as a chain of associated ideas to one that makes the behavior you’re giving up unappealing, disgusting, repulsive or painful in some manner, while forming a very positive association to the behavior you’re replacing it with that makes it very desirable, pleasurable and rewarding.

 
Also, allow yourself to realize that any time you’re giving up a habit, and you form a heightened awareness around it as a result of working with it in a direct manner, the first thing you’ll experience is all the reasons you had for developing and maintaining the habit. As we begin eliminating it, changing what we normally do when engaging in it, we notice all the things that triggered the behavior, and in abstaining from it, we feel an awkwardness around it, because we often don’t know what else to do in its stead. We then go through a period where we miss it. When we miss something or someone, we tend to focus on all the things we liked about it, and forget the bad. But this is only a stage that will quickly pass with the implementation of new behavior in its place that becomes stimulating because it produces a new experience as a new sense of your self. Change and a sense of newness allow creativity and forming new loves instead of clinging to the outworn feeling of old ones.

 
When we decide to make a change by transforming old behaviors into new ones, we have to form in our mind the outcome or end result the change will bring. We have to form the reality of the outcome in our imagination as the experience of it. We have to set an expectation for the outcome, and direct all our actions into it. We have to prepare for it, anticipate it, and rehearse it. We have to always think of it for the reward it’ll bring once it’s a reality, and recognize that we produced it through our active use of choice and will power. We chose the change as an outcome, formed it by imagining it as a possible reality in our mind, giving us the strategy for creating it, then willfully acted it out, giving us a new experience of ourselves as the true creator of our own life. This is the true power of your mind to create your reality, while self-creating through the same means.

 

The Formula for Producing Change:
1. Decide what change you’re going to produce as an outcome or actual reality.

 
2. Form it in your imagination as an actual experience – what are you seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, tasting, and what are you telling yourself about it?

 
3. Associate positive feelings and emotions to it. Form a series of associated ideas to it that are all positive and compelling.

 
4. Create an affirmation as an anchor that you can use to redirect your mind in the moment to form the desired focus necessary for the new behavior.

 
5. Realize what actions you need to take to actually do it or prepare for it.

 
6. Recognize what behavior it’ll be replacing and what internal representation you have associated with it that makes it desirable. Reform that representation by associating it with negative ideas and sensations that make it repulsive or painful somehow.

 
7. Notice all the times when you have a tendency to do this behavior. What prompts it, acts to trigger it, or what events cause you to naturally engage in it.

 
8. Imagine these prompts and events and create in your mind doing the new behavior instead, associating the new behavior with the same triggers that produced the old behavior. Run the new behavior as a mental rehearsal associated to the same triggers as the old behavior, over and over until it becomes automatic and natural.

 
9. When or if you start missing the old behavior, redirect your mind to all the reasons for giving it up, and think about what you’re going to do instead and how much better its going be.

 
10. Then, commit to the practice.

 
11. If you relapse at any point and give in to the old habit, don’t feel disappointed or beat yourself up, or continue with old thinking you failed with the new. Simply refocus your mind, pick up where you left off, and continue practicing. At some point, the temptations will begin residing and you’ll start to forget about them. Or if they do come up, they begin taking on an abstract feeling and they’re easy to resist.

 
12. Sometimes relapsing is a good thing, because in doing the old, it actually makes you feel bad.

 

Don’t expect change to come over night. Creating by transforming is a process that requires focus, patience, and perseverance. You have to dedicate yourself to constant and never ending growth. You have to develop a mindset of being empowered in your own life by being able to consciously determine your destiny through your ability to create the life you desire by making more conscious decisions while exercising the willpower necessary to produce them as a reality.

The Art of Goal Setting – “Creating Resolutions that Work”

In gaining an understanding of how we manifest as a personal process that utilizes the willful use of our mind, we can create a new way of looking at an age old tradition of making a resolution as a means of consciously self-creating and imposing a desired direction on our life. Creating comes by choosing what you will create as apposed to just existing in the current pattern that’s running your life. In order to work within the laws of the mind, we need to transform it from the idea of a goal as a statement, to a well-formed outcome as an actual experience. By creating a goal as a holistic idea that embraces the psychology involved in creating, we can learn skills at working more proficiently with our “whole mind” instead of fragmented parts. While the language of the conscious mind is words as abstract and conveying only personal meaning, the language of the subconscious mind is feelings, emotions, images, impressions, and actual experiences. The subconscious mind which builds and maintains the body while also producing automatic behaviors, is programmed through imagining goals as actual experiences. While the conscious mind can be perceived as having the ability to “choose”, the subconscious mind can be thought of as the “will” that serves to act out the choice by producing the behavior of its fulfillment.

The other immediate mistake people make, is they set goals that are negative in nature, and then use the creative power of their mind to create the very thing they don’t want. The mind can’t process a negative command. It doesn’t work by forming mental impressions around what “not” to do, or of what you “don’t” want. It works by interjecting a suggestion as an idea that’s imagined as a reality in the mind, while forming feelings around it or in response to it that creates a pattern as an actual experience that serves as a program for the subconscious mind to produce as an outer experience that matches the internal experience. We first create inwardly what we want as an imagined reality, which becomes the template as a perceptual filter that forms our outer experience as a correspondence to the inner. A goal must be stated in positive terms. Not in terms of what you don’t want, but in terms of what you do want. You form the goal or wish into an actual reality as an outcome or as an actual experience.

For example, if your goal is to lose 20 pounds, then the mind has to picture the 20 pounds you want to lose. Keep in mind, anything we can lose, we can also find again. Because you are not providing it with an image of the desired result, it sees the 20 pounds and the meaning you give it (fat, ugly, unattractive, unhealthy, sloppy, etc.) as the reason you want to lose it, as the actual emotional reason for creating it. The negative command literally says, picture this, feel this way about what you’re picturing, and give me more of it as a means of making me feel the same way. The emotion we attach to the image, is also speaking in the language of the subconscious which it sees as a request for “more” as a pattern for fulfillment. This is why as soon as you profess the need to “diet” as a means of losing weight, you simultaneously form irresistible compulsions around eating more, or eating the things you say you want to “resist”. Behavior is emotionally driven and is how the subconscious mind creates. You don’t focus on the fat that you want to lose, but instead you create an idea of how you’ll look and feel when 20 pounds lighter. You imagine your body in the shape you want it, how you’ll look, how your clothes will fit, what you’ll be telling yourself about how you look and feel, what others will be saying, and so on. You create the desired outcome the goal is intended to produce as an actual reality. You imagine it “within” the experience of it.

When we use language to define a goal, it’s abstract in the sense that it doesn’t always have behavior attached to it. It doesn’t indicate an experience or the process necessary to achieve it. It’s not creative unless it serves to direct our behavior, that is to say, give the subconscious mind a pattern for producing the actual reality. Our mind creates by an understanding of how the conscious mind has the ability to direct and command the subconscious mind by giving it directives in its own language. Words as ideas must be transformed into feelings as imagined experience of the desired outcome and what you will feel as a result in order to give the subconscious mind an “experience” as a pattern for fulfillment. The mind works by creating a perceivable and therefore believable reality as a means of fulfillment by associating an experience to a desired feeling. In order to produce change, language must be converted into experience. We have to look at what the language indicates, see it as an analogy or symbolic of a desired feeling, and create the experience of it as an actual reality, then while holding this in mind, embellish it with strong emotions of desire, adoration, admiration, respect, honor, and so on, and allow these emotions as they escalate to form feelings of gratitude and appreciation which sets an expectation for them. What we expect and look for . . . we find and get.
